- 0:07Speaker 1: Welcome to Off the Edge of the Podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Just another beautiful day with another great player, talk about
- 0:13Speaker 2: a little bit of football. We talk about a guy
- 0:14Speaker 2: who's been All Pro Pro bowler, Fred Warner. With the
- 0:17Speaker 2: resume you've had over the Niners, I mean, you're headed
- 0:19Speaker 2: towards legendary. Considering the injury that you had this year,
- 0:24Speaker 2: you still were had a push to make it to
- 0:27Speaker 2: the playoffs. Saw I saw clips of you out there
- 0:30Speaker 2: coming downhill. I said, well, I said, maybe some people
- 0:33Speaker 2: just have wolverine. But that's exactly right, that's exactly right. Yeah,
- 0:36Speaker 2: it's crazy.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Yeah, four time pro bowler and a Hall Pro.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I mean, what was the difference in terms of your
- 0:43Speaker 2: rehab that you made a push to make it back
- 0:46Speaker 2: to the game.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Well, the crazy part is right is and I've talked
- 0:48Speaker 3: about it, is when you break your ankle in half
- 0:51Speaker 3: and you have your foot faith in the wrong way.
- 0:53Speaker 3: The trainers aren't immediately and the doctors aren't immediately coming
- 0:56Speaker 3: up to you like hey, let's see how fast we
- 0:58Speaker 3: can get you back right. The conversation is like brom
- 1:00Speaker 3: ever going to play football again? That was the conversation.
- 1:02Speaker 3: So you know, as you know, they did the surgery
- 1:05Speaker 3: in October.
- 1:06Speaker 1: It was like it was like August. Training was only
- 1:09Speaker 1: a couple months ago. This all occurred, right.
- 1:10Speaker 3: So we get the surgery done and then you have
- 1:13Speaker 3: six weeks non way bearing on a scooter.
- 1:15Speaker 1: You don't change that.
- 1:15Speaker 3: And then you get to get get going and being
- 1:17Speaker 3: back on your feet and get into your rehab process.
- 1:20Speaker 3: And as I'm getting back going doing rehab, they're like, oh, shoot,
- 1:22Speaker 3: like this guy's moving pretty good.
- 1:24Speaker 1: He's progressing quick. And then they my head training came
- 1:26Speaker 1: to me.
- 1:26Speaker 3: He's like, hey, Fred, are you mentally prepared to go
- 1:30Speaker 3: and try and get ready.
- 1:30Speaker 1: For the playoffs.
- 1:31Speaker 3: We'll have to alter your rehab a little bit to
- 1:33Speaker 3: expipedite the process to get you there, but are you
- 1:35Speaker 3: mentally ready for that? And I was like, absolutely, I'm
- 1:37Speaker 3: mentally ready.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Man, let's go. We got a chance to go win
- 1:40Speaker 1: a Super Bowl.
- 1:40Speaker 3: We were in that week seventeen Week eighteen game against Seattle,
- 1:44Speaker 3: had a chance to get the one seed and I'm like, bro,
- 1:46Speaker 3: imagine we would have got that and had two playoff
- 1:49Speaker 3: games ultimately play in our home stadium for Super Bowl.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I was like, I can't pass that up. So you know,
- 1:54Speaker 3: unfortunately it didn't happen. But the fact that I was
- 1:56Speaker 3: out there on that practice field in January back on
- 1:58Speaker 3: my teammates was in itself.
- 2:00Speaker 2: So yeah, absolutely wild bro like borderline legendary. Had y'all
- 2:04Speaker 2: made it to this ship you have been in? It
- 2:06Speaker 2: was crazy, you know. But like, of course your team
- 2:10Speaker 2: missed you, miss Nick Bosa, miss miss George Kittle. You know, guys,
- 2:15Speaker 2: just going down left and right for you guys, And
- 2:17Speaker 2: sometimes that key to victory is health.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That's right, health as well, right, healthy as wealthy. I know,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I know, you know.
- 2:24Speaker 2: You say, why were the Seahawks able to beat the
- 2:26Speaker 2: forty nine ers in the last two matchups of the season.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You're missing Yeah, you're missing me.
- 2:32Speaker 3: We will we won't We won against them when we
- 2:34Speaker 3: won when like them, I was and me and bos
- 2:35Speaker 3: who was out there? So you miss it? You missing
- 2:37Speaker 3: your key guys. The Seahawks are loaded. They got a
- 2:40Speaker 3: lot of good players, right, and so when you don't
- 2:42Speaker 3: have your guys out there, it's hard to compete against
- 2:44Speaker 3: the best. But yeah, man, I'm looking forward to just
- 2:47Speaker 3: getting back healthy, getting our team back healthy, and just
- 2:49Speaker 3: finding a way to stick because the times we've been
- 2:52Speaker 3: healthy here the forty nine ers.
- 2:53Speaker 1: What has happened we've been in that, We've been in
- 2:55Speaker 1: that game. So we've been to super Bowls. Well, we
- 2:57Speaker 1: got to.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Find a way not only to make it there, but
- 2:59Speaker 3: to clim the mountain top to be that one horse
- 3:01Speaker 3: at the peak.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yes, right, I mean So, so who has a better defense?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Patriots or Seahawks. I mean, I think it's understood amongst everyone.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I mean, Christian over there, that's not down talking down.
- 3:16Speaker 3: A defense is a great defense that the Patriots have,
- 3:18Speaker 3: but I think it's on it's unfortunately a better defense
- 3:20Speaker 3: that Seattle.
- 3:21Speaker 1: On paper, you say, number one scoring defense in Seattle. Yeah,
- 3:25Speaker 1: on paper, they got the guys.
- 3:26Speaker 3: But even more than that, it's on tape when you
- 3:28Speaker 3: watch them, the way that they play. And I say
- 3:30Speaker 3: all this to and letting everybody know that I still
- 3:32Speaker 3: despise this team, Like this is okay, there's bad blood,
- 3:35Speaker 3: there's bad blood there, but you got but as a
- 3:38Speaker 3: ball knower and a guy who's who's done it at
- 3:40Speaker 3: the highest level, you understand what good ball is supposed
- 3:43Speaker 3: to look like.
- 3:43Speaker 1: And the greatest compliment I can say about their.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Defense is that they look like our defense in a
- 3:47Speaker 3: way that they play.
- 3:49Speaker 1: They look like you know what I'm saying.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Like Mike McDonald, the fact he's able to do this
- 3:53Speaker 3: and create that type of standard, that type of culture,
- 3:55Speaker 3: only in his second season doing this is extremely impressive.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Well listen, it is what it is. Man.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Their success has nothing to do about what our success
- 4:02Speaker 3: is going to be going for. You get injured, Do
- 4:04Speaker 3: you need to get more time with the family?
- 4:06Speaker 4: Oh?
- 4:06Speaker 1: Yeah, time. Look, I know that you're married. You guys, right,
- 4:09Speaker 1: he got two kids. I was like a new born,
- 4:12Speaker 1: a newborn daughter and my son one for sure. Right,
- 4:15Speaker 1: how many you gotta get? I got four? I gotta
- 4:16Speaker 1: I got a small trime, you know, Yeah you do.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I got one boy, three girls. So you got a
- 4:20Speaker 1: boy and girl.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Now a boy and a girl. Stop stop now you
- 4:23Speaker 5: might as well now boy girls like I'm gonna finding
- 4:27Speaker 5: my son a brother for a girl this girl. Dad
- 4:30Speaker 5: life is different. Yeah, no, I can't wait for it, though.
- 4:32Speaker 5: I'm excited.
- 4:33Speaker 3: You saw you saw you saw them clips with with
- 4:35Speaker 3: Stafford and his fols yesterday.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Man, bring it bring it here to mind. I saw him.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I say, I'm good for you, and I'm sick for
- 4:42Speaker 1: four to pay for four weddings? Yeah, I got to
- 4:44Speaker 1: introduce full money to my family. Boy, I think of
- 4:48Speaker 1: it like that. I'm not no, I'm not anything, none
- 4:51Speaker 1: of it. He's not wrong. My baby girls coming to
- 4:53Speaker 1: everything's giving like this guy.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Know man, like you, yeah, you know imagine that though,
- 4:58Speaker 3: imagine they bring somebody home to you love. You're like,
- 5:01Speaker 3: why aren't you married yet? You know what I'm saying,
- 5:03Speaker 3: like you, we gotta lock this guy down, Honey, I'm
- 5:06Speaker 3: telling my nine year old now, I's like, officially go
- 5:08Speaker 3: to your boyfriend. Blow daddy a kissed. When you start kissing,
- 5:11Speaker 3: I don't know if I want that kiss on the cheek. No,
- 5:13Speaker 3: I know, man, it's tough.
- 5:14Speaker 1: It's tough. I don't even want to think about none
- 5:16Speaker 1: of that. My daughter a month old, I ain't think
- 5:18Speaker 1: about nothing but the moments he happened. You thought about it,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I said, day one, I said, oh man, it's great
- 5:24Speaker 1: one day because I'm looking at.
- 5:26Speaker 2: My at my beautiful my beautiful wife. I'm like, I'm like,
- 5:28Speaker 2: one day this will be my daughter.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I'm not ready, I know it. Are the things that
- 5:35Speaker 1: you don't know about baby girls that you know, boys
- 5:37Speaker 1: are easy. You give my toy, they wreck it. They
- 5:40Speaker 1: easy and they're reckless.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Mine's reckless, right He's running around beating people love. He
- 5:45Speaker 3: wants to slap head, do all the type of things.
- 5:47Speaker 1: They just want to fight.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Yeah, bro, it's bad right now. The Terrible twos that
- 5:50Speaker 3: started early. No, yeah, I don't even believe in terrible twos.
- 5:53Speaker 3: It's that three, That's what I keep hearing. That's scary
- 5:57Speaker 3: because toos is already already his vocabulary is not in
- 6:00Speaker 3: deft enough. Vocaba is limited when they get an opinion.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Three trouble right now? Two is just no. No, Three
- 6:07Speaker 3: is no because I told you no. We hey, three,
- 6:12Speaker 3: have you come up with here?
- 6:17Speaker 1: So tell me who you're with? You know what you
- 6:18Speaker 1: pushing today?
- 6:19Speaker 6: Yeah? Man, we hear ea.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Sports just just yeah, it's in the game.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Uh ea.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Sports. Everybody loves Madden.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Everybody loves all VA's sports sports games. I remember growing
- 6:29Speaker 3: up playing Madden, of course, it was it was a
- 6:32Speaker 3: dream of mine to of course be on the game.
- 6:33Speaker 3: You always created your player at ninety nine, everything being
- 6:36Speaker 3: on the game. And then when I finally was on
- 6:38Speaker 3: the game drafted in eighteen, I'm like a sixty eight
- 6:40Speaker 3: overall and I'm like, this isn't what I dreamt of.
- 6:42Speaker 3: It to be, but you work your grind. No, now
- 6:44Speaker 3: I'm at like a ninety eight, I'm one. I'm probably
- 6:46Speaker 3: a ninety seven. Ninety eight went away from me in
- 6:48Speaker 3: that ninety I.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Never go to ninety nine like I've gotten to like
- 6:51Speaker 2: ninety seven or ninety eight.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Real, Yeah, what else I gotta do? What else do
- 6:56Speaker 1: I have to do?
- 6:56Speaker 3: I need to get another five six pick sixes in order,
- 6:59Speaker 3: that's what. So next year I'll get the five or
- 7:01Speaker 3: six pick sixes and they'll give it to me.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Indeed. Yeah, what are you What are you looking forward to?
- 7:05Speaker 2: Because you're clearly healthy, that's right, goll So what are
- 7:07Speaker 2: you looking forward to this off season? An?
- 7:10Speaker 1: We ain't got nothing ju lined up you? We want
- 7:11Speaker 1: to get the schedule.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Yeah, we're getting the sushi going for white people, getting
- 7:17Speaker 3: you know, the wine tasting maybe for white feet, doing
- 7:19Speaker 3: all these little things, right, we got we got Valentine's
- 7:21Speaker 3: Day coming up.
- 7:22Speaker 1: H I think that's about a week away.
- 7:23Speaker 2: So celebrate man made holidays. Oh Jesus his birthday. You
- 7:27Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Thanks, because I.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Want to eat. But I'm so against something nice for
- 7:31Speaker 1: your wife.
- 7:32Speaker 2: The best daily I believe, I believe it every day
- 7:35Speaker 2: being Valentine's You don't get me with.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You, he is coming up.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I already brought you flowers because it's Tuesday, that's exactly.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I got you a little necklace because I've seen that
- 7:42Speaker 2: thing on t move Amazon. You know what I say,
- 7:45Speaker 2: Start taking note. You know what I'm saying, trying to
- 7:48Speaker 2: get to what's the brand of love?
- 7:49Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Yeah, I'm right there with you, brother.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Like my wife don't even like chocolate. Ain't got a word.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I eat her chocolate. Her parents did her, my parents. Wait,
- 8:01Speaker 2: I'm just saying, wait, my dad. My dad sends, you know,
- 8:03Speaker 2: flowers and chocolate, like, hey, you gotta god take your wife.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I eat the chocolate.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, you're a little little heart lit whatever that is. Yeah,
- 8:09Speaker 2: a little chocolate rose.
- 8:11Speaker 1: A yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think. Hey, yeah, this
- 8:14Speaker 1: has been a great segment.
- 8:16Speaker 2: My life is a beautiful chocolate song. So I wouldn't
- 8:18Speaker 2: take it for me, and that's right. Yeah, yeah, I
- 8:22Speaker 2: appreciate you, absolutely, Thank you, brother. Get you out of
- 8:25Speaker 2: there though, of course appreciate it. We'll be right back.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Hey.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Here we are media row Super Bowl sixty in the
- 8:33Speaker 2: Bay Area, and.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I got my guy, Kyle Van Noyd. You know what
- 8:38Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I mean twelve years and in the year thirteen, free agent
- 8:41Speaker 2: coming up.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Yeah, we're me and you are fighting for jobs. We're
- 8:45Speaker 6: like friendemies.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Right, we can also just play left and right. Yeah,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I started. I started dropping this last year.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I said, look at me, I look like a realized
- 8:56Speaker 2: online backer crow Bowler.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Hey, your stance he was ready.
- 9:01Speaker 2: You know when you're uncomfortable and you're like, I'm not,
- 9:03Speaker 2: y'all got to open up, make it look the same.
- 9:05Speaker 7: But I really got to cover. I'm not covered to like,
- 9:07Speaker 7: I'm not gonna just come in to flat anymore. I
- 9:09Speaker 7: was relating to Chase Stay. Had you working down there
- 9:11Speaker 7: like it? I like it strike straight and then when
- 9:15Speaker 7: you get empty, you gotta get that switch.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Hey, I'm over looking.
- 9:19Speaker 2: But when I tell you dropping a like knowing you
- 9:21Speaker 2: have to drop and then beating play action bo, that's
- 9:25Speaker 2: a mental shift, it is. I mean, you're watching a
- 9:28Speaker 2: quarterback almost handed off to the to the running back.
- 9:30Speaker 2: So now I'm playing run outside leverage and then my
- 9:32Speaker 2: tight end run sort of run runs so either a
- 9:34Speaker 2: seamoor to the flat, and you're telling me that's.
- 9:36Speaker 4: My guy, But I was I'm a run stopper.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Fair That's that's tough. So how do you switch that
- 9:44Speaker 1: mental switch?
- 9:45Speaker 6: Honestly I was.
- 9:46Speaker 4: I was super blessed cam where I struggled earlier in
- 9:51Speaker 4: my career because they tried to I played off the
- 9:54Speaker 4: or on the ball in college, and then in the
- 9:57Speaker 4: pros they switched off. They switched me to off the ball,
- 10:00Speaker 4: so I never played off the ball. Had to learn,
- 10:02Speaker 4: and so as I've gone wiser in the NFL, it's
- 10:06Speaker 4: it's a lot easier because I understand concepts and no
- 10:10Speaker 4: ball a little bit better from learning off the ball drops.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Well, I'm not gonna lie to you. I thought I
- 10:14Speaker 2: knew concepts is different when you're you're you're having to oh, yeah,
- 10:18Speaker 2: this is dreg This is just a drunk concept.
- 10:19Speaker 1: You know.
- 10:20Speaker 2: It's God wants the struggle as a bee lineman. I
- 10:23Speaker 2: have let those words pass by years. Hey, who do
- 10:28Speaker 2: I got?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Really came to me?
- 10:29Speaker 7: That used to be my minimal dropping experience and you
- 10:32Speaker 7: just want to hear one, two, Yeah, that's it. Or
- 10:36Speaker 7: on the worst case, like hey, just check the three.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Take the running back every.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Time, every time, every time, unless it's one of them
- 10:42Speaker 4: fast and then you.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Just give them cushions. Now, I'm for playing me inside out.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Got it?
- 10:49Speaker 4: You're dropping like twenty yards letting them check and check down,
- 10:52Speaker 4: so you get it crossed up.
- 10:54Speaker 1: That's funny.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you know the things that you learned and by
- 10:57Speaker 2: in season. I'm like, yeah, you know what it is,
- 10:59Speaker 2: Bejon and I still like me.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that. I love me in most instances,
- 11:04Speaker 1: but I like me. I don't love me anymore.
- 11:08Speaker 2: But I mean, you know, last time Patrick's made a
- 11:11Speaker 2: Super Bowl, you playing on the field.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Yes, sir. How's it?
- 11:14Speaker 2: How's it feel about the Patriots? You know, did you
- 11:16Speaker 2: think they'd be as back as fast?
- 11:18Speaker 6: No?
- 11:18Speaker 4: I didn't, but I did think Drake May was very,
- 11:21Speaker 4: very good. You could see that he was raw. I
- 11:24Speaker 4: still think he's raw, has a long ways to go.
- 11:27Speaker 4: I really saw a lot of flashes. But I think
- 11:30Speaker 4: a big part and a big reason why they've been
- 11:33Speaker 4: so good in these playoffs, it really starts with Milton Williams.
- 11:37Speaker 6: That dude has.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Been I think throughout the whole playoffs, he's been the MVP.
- 11:43Speaker 4: He's played at that type of level. He's been so dominant, right,
- 11:47Speaker 4: and him and Christian Barmore feeding off each other, those
- 11:51Speaker 4: two Christian.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Barmore is this is just like the subtle difference maker
- 11:54Speaker 1: that I.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Mean, those two are balling, and so you know, having
- 11:59Speaker 4: that and having great x's and o's with the coaching
- 12:03Speaker 4: has helped the Patriots, and you know they squeezed out
- 12:06Speaker 4: some tough wins. But happy they're back in there. Happy
- 12:09Speaker 4: for the Craft family. They were very good to me
- 12:12Speaker 4: and my family when we're there, so you know, just
- 12:15Speaker 4: shout out to them being able to bring in and
- 12:18Speaker 4: make the changes to then eventually get back here. You
- 12:21Speaker 4: got to give them props for that.
- 12:22Speaker 2: The last time pictures are there, you know, you guys
- 12:25Speaker 2: were in depthicit it was twenty eight to three.
- 12:28Speaker 1: You know, Falcons over the Patriots.
- 12:30Speaker 6: Crazy at the end of the book.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Not even the second half, like the third quarter era.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Everybody had written you off. It was crazy, you know.
- 12:38Speaker 1: The Falcons fans somehow, some way knew that they were
- 12:40Speaker 1: going to win. I guess what they don't do so.
- 12:42Speaker 6: The owner to get on the side.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I love that, love it.
- 12:48Speaker 2: It was like stupid, they don't know how to rise up,
- 12:51Speaker 2: and sure enough they fell down.
- 12:52Speaker 6: So what's crazy? Canons?
- 12:54Speaker 4: They loaded the cannons on the sideline with black and
- 12:58Speaker 4: red confetti.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Because you got out of hands like liter League game,
- 13:02Speaker 2: turn off the scoreboard, yo, no, no, not turning it out.
- 13:06Speaker 4: We saw them like empty, like empty it during overtime
- 13:11Speaker 4: like when we're drive and they were empty in the
- 13:13Speaker 4: cannons and putting our confetti in there. So that was
- 13:16Speaker 4: a That was a dope. I have some family members
- 13:19Speaker 4: that took pictures of when it was loaded with fire,
- 13:21Speaker 4: the black and red. That's great. Sorry Falcon fans, I'm not.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Sorry, but I'm not sorry either. I loved it.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you know the say Saints Nation, we got a
- 13:30Speaker 1: Super Bowl. I don't think the Falcons do love that
- 13:35Speaker 1: for us? Uh preferred destination for free agency?
- 13:38Speaker 4: Oh okay, we gotta go back and forth.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah absolutely, I mean I would never want to leave,
- 13:44Speaker 2: you know, that's that's easy for me.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Fifteen year the same place. You shn't make me leave
- 13:48Speaker 1: until unless you make me leave.
- 13:49Speaker 4: You wearing gold because you're getting gold pretty soon. Yeah, yeah,
- 13:54Speaker 4: you know you deserve a gold. By the way, I
- 13:56Speaker 4: appreciate that. For those that are watching, I'm gonna hype
- 14:00Speaker 4: my man up real quick. Cam was one of my
- 14:04Speaker 4: players when I was in the NFL that I felt
- 14:07Speaker 4: never got the attention he deserved or the recognition of
- 14:10Speaker 4: how good he was because everyone all they care about sacks.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Cam always had sacks. We never had like the most amount.
- 14:18Speaker 4: But where Cam was different than everybody else's he played
- 14:21Speaker 4: the run just as well and just his elite as
- 14:24Speaker 4: he played the pass. And I think sometimes pass rushers
- 14:28Speaker 4: are two one dimensional now where they just get sacks
- 14:32Speaker 4: and they don't you know, and if you run at him,
- 14:35Speaker 4: the edge is just it's a gas.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go.
- 14:38Speaker 4: But Cam set the edge on Saturday before he even played,
- 14:42Speaker 4: and I always respected that.
- 14:43Speaker 6: So yeah, I wanted to tell you that.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I appreciate that. I appreciate that.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Oh, I mean, he's fluster now.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I I came in as.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Sorry, But to your point, I'm the same way. I
- 14:58Speaker 4: would love to stay with the Ravens free agency, but
- 15:01Speaker 4: if you have to leave, I've played for different teams
- 15:04Speaker 4: that if I have to leave, I gotta go where.
- 15:07Speaker 1: You look at the landscape where they need an edge.
- 15:09Speaker 4: G yeah, where they need rush. I'm in the position
- 15:12Speaker 4: now where I just want to rush. I want to
- 15:14Speaker 4: go with a three tech losing nomdi this year was
- 15:17Speaker 4: like super super.
- 15:20Speaker 2: You see Dallas Cowboys got Quinn Williams and Kenny Clark
- 15:22Speaker 2: in the middle.
- 15:23Speaker 1: There you go, maybe just Ja Davion on the edge
- 15:25Speaker 1: with the young.
- 15:26Speaker 6: Had a great year absolut yeah. So yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 4: But the young gun over there, the rookie they had,
- 15:32Speaker 4: I can't think of his name.
- 15:33Speaker 6: I think it's forty one. He's he's coming.
- 15:37Speaker 4: So I'm just looking for somebody to, you know, want
- 15:41Speaker 4: to date me.
- 15:42Speaker 1: That's all. I want to be loved Valentine. He is
- 15:46Speaker 1: coming up. What kind of coaches the Giants getting in
- 15:50Speaker 1: John Harbo.
- 15:51Speaker 4: They're getting They're getting somebody that's going to bring consistency
- 15:54Speaker 4: every single day. He's bringing that his hard work had
- 15:59Speaker 4: on especially being in that blue collar New York city
- 16:03Speaker 4: where they haven't had that consistency that they've wanted. I
- 16:06Speaker 4: think he's bringing consistency.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that that's key. But and you know
- 16:11Speaker 2: he's got fire in him, like he can he can
- 16:13Speaker 2: bring those the fires.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Gonna bring the Jews.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Some of these new coaches they don't have that.
- 16:18Speaker 2: You know, they're very analytical in mindset and they're very hey,
- 16:21Speaker 2: this is how we win, this is how we lose. Hey,
- 16:24Speaker 2: this hap Sometimes you go like, look, mother, you need you.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Need the league.
- 16:28Speaker 7: He's definitely got Even if you feel the rivers that
- 16:31Speaker 7: thing I need to fettle energy.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I feel that, hey, we need to get our started going.
- 16:34Speaker 1: We need a past start here. You're your tone setter
- 16:38Speaker 1: as a head coach.
- 16:39Speaker 4: And he's a tone setter for sure. I think he's
- 16:41Speaker 4: gonna bring that great energy, like you said, and good
- 16:45Speaker 4: luck to them during fall camp.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Right, that is hard.
- 16:50Speaker 4: He's gonna get rid, he's gonna get super real. I
- 16:54Speaker 4: think those are the hardest training camps I've ever had.
- 16:58Speaker 2: You should have seen Sean Payton in his prime. We
- 17:00Speaker 2: were doing CrossFit conditioning tests.
- 17:03Speaker 6: I've heard about that.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Bro.
- 17:04Speaker 1: We ended some guys careers like, you know, like I
- 17:07Speaker 1: can't do this no more. You walk off the field
- 17:08Speaker 1: and not.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Look bad bad. I bet yeah. I was in New
- 17:12Speaker 4: England too. Those were Belichick. You know, we're hard.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie.
- 17:16Speaker 2: We have some we have some cross camps with the
- 17:19Speaker 2: Patriots and we got excited because it was like.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Oh like because it was like better it was better
- 17:24Speaker 4: practice because they.
- 17:25Speaker 6: Weren't as hard.
- 17:26Speaker 1: We're in the we're in the Northeast where it's like
- 17:29Speaker 1: sixty sixty five seventy five degrees during the summer. I'm
- 17:33Speaker 1: already excited, so now it doesn't matter how many how
- 17:35Speaker 1: many rests we're doing.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I was like, no, no, this is this is the
- 17:38Speaker 2: what pace we're going to do it at. And they're
- 17:40Speaker 2: telling us like, no, we're going three quarters. Oh you
- 17:42Speaker 2: meant three quarters. Yeah, we say because we think you
- 17:44Speaker 2: say three quarters, we're going full speed. This either all
- 17:47Speaker 2: or nothing, but the same way.
- 17:48Speaker 6: I like that, you know, conditioned.
- 17:50Speaker 2: It was like, we're going to run this hill on
- 17:51Speaker 2: the Patriots side. That's it with them. We love that,
- 17:54Speaker 2: you know, we always became instant friends. I was like,
- 17:56Speaker 2: I don't even feel animosity. We're happy, go lucky. No,
- 18:01Speaker 2: there is there a conditioning test that you vividly remember
- 18:04Speaker 2: that sort of sort of hurt lean or made it different.
- 18:08Speaker 4: The Miami one because it was so hot you got
- 18:10Speaker 4: it outside. It was like three three hundred, twenty five turns,
- 18:14Speaker 4: twenty ties.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Ooh, the twenty five turns hurt a little bit.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Yeah, so them hammy started getting tight.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah, because you really really hope for the fifty turns
- 18:23Speaker 2: and if you're blessed, this is like the seventy five turn.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Yeah, the fifty ones are pretty easy, but that those
- 18:28Speaker 4: twenty fives, those turns, oh bro, And it was hot
- 18:31Speaker 4: as head.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Big boys can't do it.
- 18:33Speaker 4: They like, I was shocked to Like when I was done,
- 18:36Speaker 4: I was gassed.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I was like a timeout. I need the ivy man.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I mean, bro, we had one probably like twenty fourteen
- 18:46Speaker 2: or twenty fifteen. We brought CrossFit guys in to show
- 18:49Speaker 2: U quote unquote how to do it. We did like
- 18:52Speaker 2: ten power cleans. It was like fifteen burpies, twenty ball squads.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Then we ran a forty yard ladder. You do that
- 18:58Speaker 2: continuency four times?
- 18:59Speaker 1: Four times?
- 19:01Speaker 6: Did anybody not make it?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Absolutely? There was a smool guys.
- 19:04Speaker 2: It was like if you didn't get to serve some time,
- 19:06Speaker 2: there was like a repercussion of a conditioning test.
- 19:09Speaker 1: To the next day or something like that.
- 19:10Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 19:10Speaker 2: And I was like, Brom's the linemen are not making that.
- 19:13Speaker 2: They're not built for this. And I think they only
- 19:15Speaker 2: had to like a twenty yard ladder. I was like,
- 19:16Speaker 2: it was like no, they meant to pushway at short intervals.
- 19:20Speaker 4: And these guys came in and I was like, you
- 19:21Speaker 4: saw what was always impressive though, when when it came
- 19:26Speaker 4: down to it, most of the big guys make it
- 19:29Speaker 4: where you're like, where you see, ye, I ain't no
- 19:31Speaker 4: way he's going to get it.
- 19:32Speaker 2: You look at it in the standard test, you're like,
- 19:33Speaker 2: these guys are making it, and then for the most part,
- 19:36Speaker 2: eighty percent of them do.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And you know that, you know the two or.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Three fab I mean the ones that bellies clearly, the thighs, yes,
- 19:43Speaker 2: whatever you say, presently loved by Jesus and the meal tables.
- 19:49Speaker 2: You knew they were making it off ripe and sometimes
- 19:52Speaker 2: like they surprise you like and you start rooting for them.
- 19:56Speaker 2: But it's it's those it's those, it's those times that
- 19:58Speaker 2: make you really understand that even though they're officer in
- 20:01Speaker 2: the lineman and may not be like athletic as a
- 20:04Speaker 2: D lineman or a linebacker or any other position, really
- 20:07Speaker 2: there's still top one percent of athletes in the world.
- 20:10Speaker 7: Yes, facts like if you if you like nowhere or
- 20:13Speaker 7: other than Japan and D sumo wrestlers, are you going
- 20:15Speaker 7: to find a man this big, this stout and can
- 20:18Speaker 7: move like this?
- 20:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I think O linemen are very very I don't
- 20:24Speaker 4: want to say.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Athletic, butcuriously athletic.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I've been seeing your rounds.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Absolutely, and now they now they got their own war award, right,
- 20:35Speaker 2: you got you was.
- 20:39Speaker 6: Toy?
- 20:40Speaker 1: I know.
- 20:42Speaker 4: It show to a teammate of mine. I do believe
- 20:45Speaker 4: he's a Hall of Famer. I think he's had one
- 20:47Speaker 4: of the most successful careers of our generation. And when
- 20:51Speaker 4: it comes to past protector and to finally get some shine.
- 20:55Speaker 6: Get an award.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I called it a participation trophy, and I say, you
- 20:58Speaker 2: know what, rushers too, Let's get our own rushers because.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It's really different.
- 21:06Speaker 6: Everybody get one.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Again, who's going to become a participation at this point?
- 21:09Speaker 2: Let the Protectors have it so it doesn't become a
- 21:11Speaker 2: participation trophy.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I think they just need their they get.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Good for you because in their game and their in
- 21:19Speaker 2: their entire careers, if we hear their name, it's a
- 21:21Speaker 2: negative connotation ninety nine percent of the.
- 21:23Speaker 6: Time, correct, So let's just let them.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Have Absolutely, I said we pretty much got one.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Is those dp O wise it's either us or or

- 21:37Speaker 2: Well, appreciate you for stopping buying. Thank you for they
- 21:40Speaker 2: can stop by with blessing us with the opportunity. Is
