Canucks Draft Two Offensive Stars
The Canucks strike gold early in the draft, selecting 18-year-old phenom Caleb Malhotra third overall and fellow offensive dynamo Adam Novotný 24th — both from the OHL and brimming with firepower. Malhotra, a 84-point captain of Team CHL, is the highest OHL pick the Canucks have had since 1973, signaling a bold offensive rebuild. Novotný, with 65 points and silver-medal international experience, adds depth and grit. This draft is about building a future that scores goals — and these two young stars are the cornerstone.
