Transcript
- 0:00Chapter 46 from the book of Isaiah and we'll probably go
- 0:04into 47 because there's not a whole lot in 46.
- 0:07But before we get started, let's pray.
- 0:11Dear God, please be with us as we read through these chapters
- 0:15and give us wisdom and insight and application to our own
- 0:19lives. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
- 0:23Now in this I did pray, read and have lots, not lots, but some
- 0:29other scripture to refer to. And in this study we will
- 0:38discuss other gods, other religions, other beliefs.
- 0:43And this is a warning, but it is also encouragement.
- 0:48So it's very important to understand this and to get it
- 0:54from the true source. And hopefully the things that I
- 0:59found not just this morning, but over time that these will
- 1:05become, they will open up your mind to the things I'm talking
- 1:10about. And I pray that God will let the
- 1:12Holy Spirit remove anything that blinds a person from receiving
- 1:18this information. And that I also pray that God
- 1:23would would would give you revelation, would open any kind
- 1:29of blindness, any kind of blocking that doesn't seem to
- 1:33make sense from this just to open your eyes to the reality of
- 1:37it that is expressed through the Bible.
- 1:39I ask for this in Jesus name. So let's get started.
- 1:42The gods of Babylon bell bows down, Nebo Stoops low.
- 1:49Their idols are borne by beast of burden.
- 1:53The images that are carried about are burdensome, a burden
- 1:57for the weary. They stoop and bow down
- 2:00together, unable to rescue the burden.
- 2:04They themselves go off into captivity.
- 2:08So there's a lot in here, but first I'll read what the study
- 2:12Bible has to say. Who were Bell and Nebo?
- 2:16They were gods of Babylon. Bell means Lord and referred to
- 2:21Marduk, the chief God of Babylonium.
- 2:25Nebu or Nebo, sometimes called Nabu, was Marduk's son, honored
- 2:31in the names of Babylonian kings, for example,
- 2:35Nebuchadnezzar. Here the prophet may have been
- 2:38seeing a procession of Babylonian refuges be refugees
- 2:43being taken into captivity by conquering Persians because
- 2:47their idols were unable to save them.
- 2:50Ironically, I read these two chapters and I want to do this
- 2:56first thing in the morning, but sometimes I get distracted and
- 3:00often I get distracted. And ironically, when I was going
- 3:06through and I had these discoveries as I was reading
- 3:09through this, are these thoughts, I guess coming to mind
- 3:13as I was reading through this and I was researching some of
- 3:16it, then I happened to look on Instagram in a Bible account
- 3:22that I follow and ironically, but not ironic, there are no
- 3:26coincidences. There was the testimony of a man
- 3:32who was a very loyal Buddhist who became a Christian, and I
- 3:37will tell his story at the end because it was so fitting for
- 3:42what I'm reading right now, and especially the part unable to
- 3:46rescue the burden, this man that I will tell you a story at the
- 3:51end. He was seeking Buddha to help
- 3:55him, to rescue him, but it didn't happen.
- 4:00And So what this these, the first sentence here, it says
- 4:05they are beast of burden. The images that they care about
- 4:11are burdensome, a burden for the weary.
- 4:13They don't do anything good. Now I have a theory, and I think
- 4:18it's a little bit more than a theory because it seems to be
- 4:21supported by scripture and ancient documents also.
- 4:27But I believe that these other religions besides Christianity
- 4:38are actually a deception by God's enemy Satan.
- 4:45And I don't know if it's he Satan, who is behind every
- 4:49single one of these or if he has helpers.
- 4:52It does say in the Bible that he there were a certain percentage,
- 4:56like a third of the angels were rebelled along with him and came
- 5:04to the earth. And then there's also these like
- 5:07demons who do exist in the earth and they seek bodies to inhabit.
- 5:15And a lot of people who don't, you know, I don't know, people
- 5:18who haven't read the Bible probably think, oh, those are
- 5:21myths or something, but they're not.
- 5:23And they're very much going on today.
- 5:26And in fact, there's another thing that I was in searching
- 5:32because it talks about Marduk. And when I was searching Marduk,
- 5:36supposedly he went by 50 different names.
- 5:40And so I was curious what were the different names that Marduk?
- 5:43Because I also have thoughts that a lot of these, when you
- 5:48start looking into this Babylonian spirit, you start, it
- 5:53starts tying to all things, I mean, to lots of different
- 5:58religions, like lots of things with Egypt, it ties into it ties
- 6:03into, oh gosh, lots of people that are mentioned in the Bible
- 6:10and there's just, there's a lot there.
- 6:14And what God does say is come out of Babylon, Come out of
- 6:20Babylon, and it's a warning to all of us to come out of
- 6:25Babylon. And we may not even realize that
- 6:28we are in Babylon or we are being affected by the spirit of
- 6:34Babylon. I believe that Babylon is a
- 6:38spiritual thing, whether it's multiple entities or a singular.
- 6:43I have a feeling it's probably more multiple entities but of
- 6:47the same spirit. Like united those they are evil
- 6:52unison of spirits that are trying to essentially eliminate
- 6:59mankind and keep mankind from inheriting the Kingdom of God
- 7:04and out of out of their anger out of their that they're not
- 7:08going to get it and they know it because the Bible, especially
- 7:11for Satan, because the Bible talks about what's going to
- 7:14happen with Satan. He will be eternally separated
- 7:17and he will be thrown into the burning lake of sulfur.
- 7:21And and so his existence is foretold in scripture that it's
- 7:28not going to be with God. He's not going to benefit from
- 7:31all the things that others will. And Satan is angry about that.
- 7:35He has fury. It says that the the Bible says
- 7:37it has fury. And he goes after the children
- 7:41of God to eliminate them, to deceive them so that they don't
- 7:48seek their their father, their true Father, God who created
- 7:52them, who created us. And, and it is this spiritual
- 7:57war that because we don't see it, we don't, some of us may not
- 8:03believe it. And it is something that
- 8:08churches don't talk about. So that because it probably it,
- 8:14it when you can't see and prove things, then it you get this,
- 8:18this wall up from a lot of people that oh, I'm not going to
- 8:21believe it unless it's scientific.
- 8:23But I kind of look at what is scientific continues to be
- 8:28disproved all the time. Now science proves what the
- 8:32Bible tells us, but sometimes science gets it wrong and then
- 8:36it's retracted and it's restated again or it's changed.
- 8:40So there is order from God, and science is, I guess, a
- 8:48revelation of what that order is.
- 8:50I mean, as people learn more things, you can learn some
- 8:54things about cause and effect, but as far as creation goes,
- 8:59there's nothing, none other than God who creates.
- 9:02And anyway, I'm getting down a, a different path.
- 9:07So let's go back to scripture. We're talking about false gods
- 9:10and we're talking about Bell and Ebo.
- 9:12And they, they are part of, you know, referring to Marduk, but
- 9:15he has a lot of different names and, and they are burdens to
- 9:20people who submit to that spirit.
- 9:25So in reality, we could, and there's really two choices.
- 9:30We're either going to submit to evil or submit to God and
- 9:36whatever we submit to whatever is Lord over our life will, we
- 9:42will have what the Bible refers to as fruit of that.
- 9:46We will either be worldly if we submit to evil or we will become
- 9:53godly if we submit to God and let the Holy Spirit work in US.
- 9:57And in Galatians chapter 5, it tells you if you are curious
- 10:03about, well, how can I tell if if I'm worldly or if I'm guided
- 10:08by the Holy Spirit? First of all, you will know, but
- 10:11if in the very early stages you won't necessarily know.
- 10:15So if you look at Galatians chapter 5, it'll describe all
- 10:18the attributes or the characteristics of someone who
- 10:22is worldly or submitted to natural desires, evil, Sinner
- 10:29stuff or someone who is submitted to God and has the
- 10:34Holy Spirit operating in them. So there is a difference and it
- 10:39it is our choice who do we want to be Lord of our life because
- 10:44God will give us our choice. This is not a force thing like
- 10:47some religions people get. They are fearful if they want to
- 10:55change their religion because there is some sort of punishment
- 10:59if they change. But in true Christianity there's
- 11:06God will punish in the very end at judgement time.
- 11:08But until then we are completely free to to decide what we want
- 11:13to do. God doesn't force himself on us,
- 11:18and so it's completely our decision.
- 11:21So let me read the rest of chapter 46.
- 11:24So it's talking about the gods of Babylon.
- 11:26Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of the
- 11:30people of Israel, you whom I have upheld since your birth and
- 11:35have carried you since you were born, even to your old age and
- 11:39Gray hairs. I am He.
- 11:41I am he who will sustain you. I have made you, and I will
- 11:46carry you. I will sustain you, and I will
- 11:50rescue you. So here's a difference right
- 11:53there. The other gods will not rescue
- 11:56you, but the one true God will rescue people when they turn to
- 12:01Him. And again, that man that I heard
- 12:03this morning, he attested to that.
- 12:07So with whom will you compare me, or count me equal?
- 12:13To whom will you liken me, that we may be compared?
- 12:17Some pour out gold from their bags and weigh out silver on the
- 12:21scales. They hire a Goldsmith to make it
- 12:24into a God and they bow down and worship it.
- 12:28They lift it to their shoulders and carry it.
- 12:31They set it up in its place and there it stands from that spot
- 12:36it cannot move. So this is another thing in the
- 12:43book of Exodus, Exodus chapter 20, it gives us the 10
- 12:48commandments that God gave. And one of them is not to make
- 12:53any graven images or statues because apparently people when
- 12:59they get statues, they start worshipping him to them, asking
- 13:05them for things. And God forbids that because the
- 13:09only one that we need to ask of is God, God alone.
- 13:14And and so God is spirit. That's what it says in
- 13:21scripture, that God is spirit. So we can't see him, although he
- 13:26is everywhere and he knows everything about us.
- 13:31We don't hide anything from us. He is present everywhere.
- 13:35He sees everything. He knows exactly how many hairs
- 13:38on each one of our heads, you know, think about billions of
- 13:41people and God knows every single hair on everybody's head.
- 13:44Like he knows the minutiae detail that we, it wouldn't
- 13:49really concern us, but God knows it about us.
- 13:52He created us. There's nothing that we do
- 13:55that's hidden from him and he is aware of it all.
- 14:00But people, we do have statues. Look all over the world, there
- 14:05are statues. There are.
- 14:08It's almost like praise and glory given to a human being.
- 14:12Sometimes it's a deity, sometimes it's, you know,
- 14:15whatever it is, it's something a hero.
- 14:18But the Bible really says don't make those things because maybe
- 14:23there's good intent behind it. But what happens is somehow
- 14:27people start worshipping it. They start, you know, elevating
- 14:31it to a level that it shouldn't be.
- 14:34I mean, he didn't even God said even, you know, don't even make
- 14:38the likeness of anything in heaven or on the earth or below
- 14:42the earth like nothing. We're not supposed to have any
- 14:45of that stuff, but we do around the world everywhere and and
- 14:51that's just showing us like how far we are from God when we've
- 14:55done that. I don't know who is the 1st to
- 14:57make us. Well, I don't know what talks
- 14:59about in Israel. I mean right when they got the
- 15:0410 commandments from God, when Moses came down, they had
- 15:08already melted their gold and created a calf idol, which I do
- 15:13think is also symbolic of Baal, which is also symbolic of I
- 15:17think Baal is Baal or Baal Baal. I think that's how you say it is
- 15:23actually. Satan, really.
- 15:25And Satan wanted to be worshipped.
- 15:27So he wasn't, he wasn't happy or content with being a created
- 15:34being. He wanted more glory.
- 15:36He wanted to be just like God. And that's, I think he's done a
- 15:42very successful deception with a lot of people and brings people
- 15:48to that. Now he has others with him that
- 15:50are from the supernatural realm. And I think they they help out
- 15:55with that because he is not omnipresent.
- 15:59He can't be everywhere at once. So there are entities that are
- 16:05in alignment with him that agree with him.
- 16:08And so they are influencing people here on Earth, but they
- 16:13don't have good plans for the people here on Earth.
- 16:15The ultimate plan is for destruction, but they will do it
- 16:20in a deceptive way. So they will give people their
- 16:23sinful pleasures that they desire.
- 16:27And if you look at it, you know, a lot of it had to do with like
- 16:33Molech was another one and they used to do child sacrifices.
- 16:38There was a lot of sensuality sex.
- 16:41They had temple prostitutes. So they appealed to all of the
- 16:45things that God, you know, sex was good.
- 16:48God made it. God said be fruitful and
- 16:50multiply. You know, he, he intended that,
- 16:52but there were certain parameters around it.
- 16:54It wasn't like with everyone. It was with your, your spouse
- 16:57house, with your one person. You were supposed to become a
- 17:00couple and then that was part of it.
- 17:04So what's the enemy of God does is distorts what God creates,
- 17:11what God puts out there as good. And he, the enemy tries to make
- 17:17it confusing and tries to change it.
- 17:21And that's where I believe that all these like gods, I don't
- 17:24believe these people. I've said this before in the
- 17:27podcast. I don't believe that these
- 17:29people were ignorant or dumb or stupid people, whatever you want
- 17:33to call them even today, because people are still worshipping
- 17:38this this stuff, which is for me hard to believe, but it's still
- 17:42happening today. But I don't think that they just
- 17:48did it out of their own imagination.
- 17:50I think they had some spiritual interaction which make which
- 17:54made them believe that this was something supreme, which it
- 18:02probably was because it came from the heavenly realms.
- 18:05But it's evil and people who don't know God don't distinguish
- 18:10between good and evil. And so if it's something they
- 18:13like, of course it's got to be good, right?
- 18:17But the Bible tells us what is good and what is not.
- 18:21And if you don't know what's in the Bible, you don't know the
- 18:24difference between what is good and what is not.
- 18:27So except that God writes on our hearts.
- 18:29So I think we do have that. That's where that maybe that
- 18:33guilt comes in. But there's a certain point
- 18:36where we just maybe ignore the guilt that we have.
- 18:40And at a certain point, I don't know when that is, but God will,
- 18:45it shows in Scripture that He will also allow somebody to have
- 18:49that. He'll turn the person over to
- 18:51what they desire and let them have it.
- 18:54I guess when God sees they're, they're just not changing.
- 18:57They keep rejecting him and they keep going back to whatever
- 19:01they're going back to. Then he lets them have it.
- 19:04So lets them have what they want.
- 19:08So let's see. I don't remember where I left
- 19:10off. OK.
- 19:12So even though someone cries out to it, it cannot answer.
- 19:17This is talk about idols. It cannot save them from their
- 19:20troubles. So it's completely worthless.
- 19:22Like anything any other religion that you're working does.
- 19:28I wonder, like, does it ever save you?
- 19:31Does it ever rescue you? I mean, I can't answer that
- 19:34because I haven't been in another religion, but I did hear
- 19:38a testimony this morning about someone who was in another
- 19:41religion that wanted to be saved, wanted to be rescued, and
- 19:44it didn't happen. So I really kind of doubt that
- 19:52any other religion will save a person, but Christianity will,
- 20:00because Jesus. Is the one who saved us.
- 20:05Remember this, keep it in mind, take it to heart.
- 20:07You rebels, remember the former things, those of long ago.
- 20:11I am God and there is no other. I am God and there is none like
- 20:15me. I make known the end from the
- 20:19beginning, from ancient times. What is still to come?
- 20:25So God's not hiding himself. If we seek him, He says we will
- 20:29find him. I say my purpose will stand and
- 20:33I will do all that I please. So no one tells God to do.
- 20:39He does what he wants to do. From the east I summon a bird of
- 20:45prey, from a far off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
- 20:50Now when I as Isaiah was writing this, he was talking about Cyrus
- 20:54who is going to come. So Cyrus from Persia, which is
- 20:58modern day Iran was conquered, Babylon.
- 21:04So this is what he was talking about, a bird from the east.
- 21:08I summon a bird of prey that was Cyrus from a far off land of man
- 21:13to fulfill my purpose. What I have said that I will
- 21:17bring about, what I have planned that I will do.
- 21:21Listen to me, you stubborn hearted, you who are now far
- 21:27from my righteousness. I am bringing my righteousness
- 21:31near. It is not far away, and my
- 21:34salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion,
- 21:39my splendor to Israel. Now that's the end of chapter
- 21:4246. So I'm going to read the
- 21:46questions and answers that I didn't read and then continue on
- 21:49to 47. So do we.
- 21:52Do we turn gold and silver into gods to day?
- 21:57Isaiah was emphasizing the contrast between the one true
- 22:00God and the idols made of net of material from the earth, silver
- 22:04and gold. We may make idols of what money
- 22:07buys, whether they are material things, houses, clothing, cars
- 22:11or intangibles, social standing, recognition, attention.
- 22:15Idols can be anyone or anything that becomes more important to
- 22:21us than God. So when we are deciding on
- 22:25things to do or how to spend our time, it's probably important to
- 22:29ask our question. Is this thing, whatever it is,
- 22:32thing or person, even thing or person or thing, is this more
- 22:37important to me than God? And if so, that is showing us
- 22:41that's an idol to us. Who was this man?
- 22:45From far off land, the bird of prey from the east, Cyrus the
- 22:49Great, the ruler of Persia who swooped in to conquer Babylon.
- 22:54The Greek historian Xenophon wrote that Cyrus had an eagle
- 22:59depicted on his royal banner. That's interesting because I was
- 23:04looking up to see what the national bird of Iran was and
- 23:09it's actually a Nightingale. So it has nothing to do with an
- 23:12eagle. But there are times in the Bible
- 23:14where, you know, it talks about a bird of prey and an eagle.
- 23:19And an eagle is not always like a, a, a good thing.
- 23:22It's you know, something well, something strong and but it's a
- 23:26bird of prey. What stubborn hearted people was
- 23:30the Lord speaking to God was reminding the Exiles that from
- 23:35ancient times he had accurately predicted future events.
- 23:38He would use Cyrus to bring about their deliverance.
- 23:41Despite their stubborn hearted disbelief.
- 23:44It would happen for in this way the Lord would fulfil his saving
- 23:49purpose for Israel. Now it talks about the fall of
- 23:54Babylon chapter 47. Go down, sit in the dust, virgin
- 23:58daughter Babylon. Sit on the ground without a
- 24:01throne. Queen City of the Babylonians.
- 24:06No more will you be called tender our delicate.
- 24:09Take millstones and grind flour. Take off your veil, lift up your
- 24:13skirts, bare your legs, and wade through the streams.
- 24:17Your nakedness will be exposed and your shame uncovered.
- 24:22I will take vengeance. I will spare no one.
- 24:26Our Redeemer, the Lord Almighty, is His name, is the Holy One of
- 24:31Israel. So I'm going to read a couple
- 24:35questions and answers from the study Bible.
- 24:38Why called wicked Babylon a virgin daughter?
- 24:40Cities were commonly personified as daughters.
- 24:43This chapter is a mocking poem that taunts the Babylonians with
- 24:47news of their fall from power and privilege.
- 24:51Babylon was like an untouched, pampered Princess in a royal
- 24:55palace. Biblical glimpses of Babylon fit
- 24:59this picture. The Babylonian leaders seem
- 25:01proud of their position and confident of their security, but
- 25:04those days of ease were over, the prophet said.
- 25:08How would Babylon's nakedness be exposed?
- 25:11Similar language is found elsewhere in the Old Testament
- 25:14to describe being taken into exile and to describe nations
- 25:19who have allied themselves with other nations being mistreated
- 25:23by those allies and says, how did How did God desecrate his
- 25:30inheritance? Desecrate means to take a holy
- 25:33thing and do something unholy with it.
- 25:37God's people were his inheritance, and God wanted them
- 25:40to live in a holy relationship with him.
- 25:43By breaking their covenant with Him, the Israelites had aroused
- 25:47God's righteous anger and caused him to hand them over to the
- 25:51Babylonians for punishment and discipline.
- 25:57I am, and there is none besides me.
- 25:59Babylon's haughty attitude set herself up above all others and
- 26:04above calamity. God had made a similar claim
- 26:08earlier, but He could back it up.
- 26:14So let's continue now when I get when I start reading into this,
- 26:21I think Babylon is much more than a place.
- 26:24I think it's a spiritual thing and I think it is infecting the
- 26:30world globally right now and Babylon is referred to as a
- 26:36queen. We will see in, in verse 5 is
- 26:40when it starts talking about that.
- 26:43And then I remembered, you know, in other prophet prophets, I
- 26:47think Jeremiah and others where they talked about Tammuz and
- 26:51they talk about the queen of heaven and baking bread for the,
- 26:55you know, making things for the queen of heaven.
- 26:58So there's this queen of heaven and which is also, you know, a
- 27:03little bit disturbing too. And so anyway, let me read this
- 27:10section 1st and then we'll talk more about it.
- 27:13This is the prophecy going out to Babylon.
- 27:17Sit in silence, go in darkness. Queen City of the Babylonians.
- 27:22No more will you be called Queen of kingdoms.
- 27:26I was angry with my people and desecrated my inheritance.
- 27:31I gave them into your hand and you showed them no mercy.
- 27:36Even on the aged you laid a very heavy yoke.
- 27:41You said I am forever the eternal Queen, but you did not
- 27:46consider or reflect on what might happen now.
- 27:51Then listen, you lover of pleasure, lounging in your
- 27:55security and saying to yourself, I am, and there is none besides
- 28:01me. I will never be a widow or
- 28:06suffer the loss of children. Both of these will overtake you
- 28:10in a moment on a single day. Now it talks in Revelation about
- 28:16in a single day that Mystery Babylon will be destroyed.
- 28:21So I think that's really kind of interesting because here it like
- 28:24in a moment on a single day, loss of children and widowhood,
- 28:29they will come upon you in full measure.
- 28:32In spite of your many sorceries, all and all your potent spells,
- 28:39you have trusted in your wickedness and have said no one
- 28:44sees me, but God sees everything.
- 28:46Your wisdom and knowledge mislead you.
- 28:49When you say to yourself, I am and there is none beside me,
- 28:55disaster will come upon you and you will not know how to conjure
- 29:00it away. A calamity will fall on you that
- 29:04you cannot ward off with a ransom.
- 29:07A catastrophe you cannot foresee will suddenly come upon you.
- 29:12Keep on then, with your magic spells and with your many
- 29:17sorceries which you have labored at since childhood.
- 29:21So this is a created entity that has been messing with this magic
- 29:27stuff. Perhaps you will succeed.
- 29:30Perhaps you will cause terror. All the counsel you have
- 29:34received has only worn you out. Let your astrologers now.
- 29:40God talks in scripture about how astrology is evil and bad and
- 29:47let your astrologers come forward.
- 29:49Those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let
- 29:53them save you from what is coming upon you.
- 29:56Surely they are like stubble. The fire will burn them up.
- 30:02So I think this is a warning against astrology.
- 30:04The fire will burn them up. Destruction.
- 30:08So don't get into astrology. There's a lot of people that get
- 30:11into that stuff and, and innocently so I know when I was
- 30:17a teenager, I found a book on it and it was very intriguing and I
- 30:20was very curious about it and I looked into it and I started to
- 30:25believe it. I did believe it and until I
- 30:28read the Bible and then I got rid of everything because I
- 30:32realized that it's just wickedness and you're actually
- 30:35seeking knowledge somewhere other than God.
- 30:38And I think that does, the way they talk about it, it does it
- 30:42creates some kind of opening or access to your life.
- 30:46That demonic influence can start working within your life.
- 30:51And there's many other people who were probably way deeper
- 30:56into it who have expressed that same thing, that things started
- 31:01happening in their life and it was like very bad things.
- 31:04And, and I think it's something that not everyone probably gets
- 31:11to, but there are people who have been involved in that kind
- 31:14of stuff that their eyes do get opened and they get away from it
- 31:18and then their eyes are really opened about how bad it was when
- 31:22they didn't think it was bad to begin with.
- 31:25So going back to scripture, they cannot even save themselves from
- 31:28the power of the flame. What do you think?
- 31:31Maybe that might be the burning lake of sulfur that in the end,
- 31:35in judgement, that's where people will go.
- 31:37And they don't realize that when they're messing with astrology,
- 31:40that's what they're making their destination because we get to
- 31:42choose. That's the thing about it.
- 31:46These are not coals for warmth. This is not a fire to sit by
- 31:51like this is eternal separation from God and eternal torture and
- 31:56torment. This is what people who do that
- 32:00kind of stuff are choosing for themselves.
- 32:03So that's like the warning, like get out of Babylon, get out.
- 32:07That's what God says. That is all they are to you.
- 32:12The these you have dealt with and labored since childhood.
- 32:18So when I read that, I wasn't sure like is, is this mean?
- 32:20They target children. These spirits target children at
- 32:25a very young age. Or does it mean that since they
- 32:27were created they have been at it since childhood?
- 32:31I'm not quite sure how to take that sentence.
- 32:34But all of them go on in their error.
- 32:38There is no one that can save you.
- 32:41So the study Bible, it says is it wrong to read your horoscope
- 32:44reading horoscopes. I think Study Bible is very
- 32:47delicately handling this. But when it talks about, you
- 32:51know, people going into the fire to burn them up because of that,
- 32:54I think it should be a little bit stronger stance than this.
- 32:58But I will read what the Study Bible says.
- 33:00Is it wrong to read your horoscope?
- 33:02Reading horoscopes seems to satisfy people's hunger for
- 33:05knowledge about the future, but people who read them are seeking
- 33:09false guidance. Horoscopes offer predictions and
- 33:13advice based on the relationships of the planets to
- 33:16the signs of the Zodiac. The Bible is clear that we are
- 33:21not to look for guidance in magical ways.
- 33:24Seeking personal guidance is good as long as you are seeking
- 33:28that guidance from God through the scriptures and prayer.
- 33:34All the information that we need to be successful is found in
- 33:40Scripture and in prayer to God. So we don't need any of that
- 33:44stuff. And that's why it's so important
- 33:48to get in the Bible and read it because there are a lot of
- 33:52answers. So there's a lot to talk about
- 33:55here. So as I mentioned before, I
- 33:57really do think that this, this queen is, is a spiritual entity
- 34:03of some sort. And if you search this queen of
- 34:08heaven, the the bad thing, actually, I want to look this up
- 34:12because this is something that is also disturbing.
- 34:15I mean, the more you start studying this, the more you
- 34:17start realizing that there is more to it than you really
- 34:24sometimes want to know. So I searched Queen of Heaven
- 34:28and here's what came up. The phrase Queen of Heaven most
- 34:32commonly refers to Mary, the mother of Jesus, in both
- 34:36Catholic and some Protestant Christian traditions.
- 34:39However, the term also appears in the Old Testament
- 34:43specifically, specifically in the Book of Jeremiah, where it
- 34:48is associated with idolatry. In historical and religious
- 34:54context, the term can also refer to ancient Pagan goddesses like
- 35:02Inanna or Ishtar. There's so much here.
- 35:07So I grew up Catholic. So for me to hear that, you
- 35:14know, was really shocking because Mary, the mother of
- 35:18Jesus, you would always respect. As I've read the Bible more,
- 35:24I've realized that my upbringing had a lot more elevation of Mary
- 35:34than a than what is in the Bible.
- 35:38And there are some just bothersome things that I
- 35:42discovered too, was that we can pray directly to God.
- 35:48And if we are obedient to God, Jesus said whatever we ask for
- 35:55in his name will be given to us. We don't need anyone between US
- 36:03and God. Jesus tore the veil between
- 36:07humanity and God. He made God accessible.
- 36:11Well, God always heard he. He heard people all the time.
- 36:17He turned away from them when they were disobedient.
- 36:20He, you know, he hears the prayers of the righteous, but
- 36:23the ones who are disobedient and rebellious, he at times had
- 36:28turned away from until they would seek him.
- 36:31They would, they would have some tragedy come up usually and then
- 36:34they would start seeking him and, and then he would respond
- 36:38to them because he's such a loving God, a loving Father.
- 36:42So that was, that's something, you know, that I'm probably
- 36:47going to make everybody mad at me during this podcast because
- 36:50people don't want to hear these things, but I'm only going to
- 36:53speak the truth of what's in the Bible.
- 36:54And I was there too. OK, So I messed around with
- 36:56astrology. As soon as I read the Bible, I
- 36:58realized that is wrong. And I got rid of, I had books on
- 37:02it that even got into like what latitude and longitude people
- 37:05were in and, you know, all this kind of stuff.
- 37:07Well, I threw all that stuff away and I asked God for
- 37:10forgiveness and I've never touched it again.
- 37:13And I realized that it's something evil, something
- 37:16demonic behind it. It's something that leads people
- 37:20away from God. And so I'm not saying, I mean,
- 37:25the things that I say here are things that I've been affected
- 37:30by. So I, I grew up Catholic and
- 37:33while I the Catholic faith teaches about Father, Son and
- 37:37Holy Spirit, that is all true. But there are some like church
- 37:42traditions that go against what the Bible says.
- 37:46Like the thing about statues, I find it very odd that there are
- 37:50so many statues in Catholic churches.
- 37:54And why? Because the Bible tells us in
- 37:58Exodus 20 that we're, we're not to make any graven images of
- 38:03anything in heaven or on earth. And so I understand the
- 38:09reasoning behind it. You know how the tradition
- 38:11started? Because I've looked that up.
- 38:14But just because a tradition started a certain way doesn't
- 38:18mean that you have to continue that.
- 38:20Like, that just doesn't make sense.
- 38:22If God's word clearly says don't have statues, then why?
- 38:29Who is bold enough to challenge the word of God?
- 38:32Who wants to break one of the commandments?
- 38:35Now here's another thing that I learned only by reading the
- 38:38Bible. No one taught this to me, but I
- 38:40was making up on my Instagram account called at Faithfish or
- 38:46it's at at Faith. FSH is on Instagram and when I
- 38:51was making, when I was first reading the Bible, I started to
- 38:54make images for each of the 10 commandments.
- 38:57And what I realized was that the 10 commandments I learned
- 39:02through my Catholic upbringing did not match up with the Bible.
- 39:07And the one about the graven images is missing.
- 39:10So people who just know the 10 commandments that are taught in
- 39:14Catholic school don't know that they're not supposed to have
- 39:19graven images because it was removed.
- 39:22And then what happened is the last command about coveting your
- 39:27neighbor or your neighbor's wife or goods was by the Catholics
- 39:33were separated into two commandments rather than as one
- 39:38as the way it is in the Bible in Exodus chapter 20.
- 39:42So anyone who's Catholic, I encourage you to read Exodus
- 39:48chapter 20 for yourself and then take the commandments that you
- 39:52know and compare it to the commandments as listed in Exodus
- 39:5620, because it will probably shock you like it did me.
- 40:00And I get the numbering all messed up because I still today
- 40:03because I had it memorized one way and I don't know which
- 40:05number is which commandment anymore.
- 40:07And I, I'm just, I know what's in there and I don't know what
- 40:12number it is, but that's a result of how I was brought up
- 40:17so. That is anyway, so this whole
- 40:22the the mother or the Queen of Heaven is very concerning
- 40:26because nowhere in the Bible does it say that Mary was made
- 40:29Queen of heaven. So that is concerning to me.
- 40:36And then especially because queen of this, this queen thing
- 40:41is brought up in the Bible in reference to idolatry.
- 40:48So that is very concerning. And then like in historical
- 40:53religious context, it is like goddesses of Inana and Ishtar.
- 40:58Well, when you look up this idolatry, Inana, Ishtar,
- 41:04Ashtarath, these were all goddesses that were worshipped.
- 41:09And then you get in through like Greek to Venus so that Venus
- 41:13gets thrown in there too. They were goddesses of
- 41:15fertility, end of war. And then you get this Marduk and
- 41:22Baal and then you get Jezebel, who, you know, promoted this
- 41:28like, like prostitute stuff, sexually immoral stuff.
- 41:34This is all like that same spirit and and it's just like if
- 41:40you describe a characteristic of something and then all of these
- 41:44entities have that they reflect the same character.
- 41:49Is it not all the same spirit working in all of them?
- 41:55And these and, and people, you know, if they haven't known the
- 41:59true God and are introduced to this first and they realize that
- 42:04this is something greater than I am, then it would be easy for
- 42:08anybody to believe. So I'm not, I'm not saying that
- 42:14these people intentionally did anything wrong by believing in
- 42:17these faiths. It may have been what they were
- 42:19taught from children from their parents, may have been
- 42:21culturally what they were taught from their area, wherever they
- 42:25lived. But no matter what, if you're
- 42:28hearing this podcast today, look into it and pray to the one true
- 42:33God that it be revealed whether these are demonic things that
- 42:38are taking them you to destruction rather than putting
- 42:46you on the path to God's Kingdom, to the inheritance and
- 42:50living with God and having Jesus as your brother or you know, or
- 42:55as your brother. Yes.
- 42:57So anyway, when you, I'm not going to go into all of this,
- 43:02but you can look it up yourself if you want to look up Ishtar,
- 43:06Inana, Ashtarith, and even Isis. So Isis is like the Egyptian
- 43:11form. And that's really interesting
- 43:13too, because I was, I just was curious, is Isis the queen of
- 43:19heaven? Yes, Isis is considered the
- 43:22queen of heaven in ancient Egypt religion she was a major goddess
- 43:28and one of the most important deities.
- 43:31Her worship spread through the Greco Roman world and she was
- 43:36known by this title among many others.
- 43:40So isn't that really interesting that all of these things,
- 43:45there's lots of different Queens of heaven and I think about I,
- 43:51what I says in Isaiah chapter 41, verse 29 about the images.
- 43:57See, they are all false. Their deeds amount to nothing.
- 44:02Their images are but wind and confusion.
- 44:09So it's they they're they're really they're worthless.
- 44:13They are but wind, which is also Rua or spirit and emptiness.
- 44:20So I think this is a spiritual thing and it's in confusion.
- 44:26So it when we talk about confusion, let's see.
- 44:34Oh, I didn't look those up. There's there's more things that
- 44:37I wanted to share about confusion.
- 44:40And so let me go to that. I wanted to read to you one
- 44:45Corinthians 14, one Corinthians 14 and let's see what verse it
- 44:54was. 33 I think so 33 for God is not a God of disorder or of
- 45:04confusion. I guess in the new King James
- 45:06Version, I'm going to go to that one because there are different
- 45:12words that are used in the different translations.
- 45:15But yes, for God is not the author of confusion, but of
- 45:20peace, as in all the churches of the Saints.
- 45:24So God isn't if it's all confusing, it's not God.
- 45:30And that's where I think this like spiritual part comes out is
- 45:35that I guess this spiritual confusion.
- 45:40And let's see, there's another verse 2 that I wanted to go to,
- 45:44which is in James verse 3, verse 10.
- 45:50Well, is that what it was? That's what I wrote maybe 16.
- 45:55OK, no, it's 16, not ten. I didn't write that real
- 45:59clearly. So in James chapter 3 verse 16,
- 46:04for where envy and self seeking exist, confusion and every evil
- 46:11thing are there. So what does this tell us?
- 46:15This tells us that envy, self seeking, confusion, that's all
- 46:24evil. To be envious of someone is
- 46:28evil, to be self seeking is evil, and confusion is evil in
- 46:39So it talks. This is kind of interesting too
- 46:41because it talks about heavenly versus demonic wisdom in James
- 46:46chapter 3 verse 13. Who is wise and understanding
- 46:50among you? Let him show by good conduct
- 46:53that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
- 46:57But if you have a bitter envy and self seeking in your hearts,
- 47:01do not boast and lie against the truth.
- 47:05The wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual,
- 47:13demonic. For where envy and self seeking
- 47:16exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
- 47:20But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then
- 47:27peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good
- 47:33fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy.
- 47:39Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who
- 47:43make peace. So I think those are some good
- 47:47things about words of wisdom. And then the other thing that is
- 47:55interesting is found in Ephesians chapter 2 and it talks
- 48:03about who Satan is and it talks about all of us, you know, like
- 48:09we. So this is not to condemn
- 48:11people, but it might be to convict people.
- 48:14To convict means to realize that oh, I'm doing something wrong or
- 48:19I did something wrong, but that's condemning someone is
- 48:22actually sending them to hell. So we are not when we are
- 48:27convicted by something, then we have we have a choice.
- 48:31We either continue to do it where we can be condemned for
- 48:35it, or we ask God for forgiveness and change our ways
- 48:39through repentance, through turning to him and receiving the
- 48:42Holy Spirit who will help us to stop doing whatever it is.
- 48:48So anyway, Ephesians 22 says in which you once walked according
- 48:55to the course of this world. The worldly attributes that I
- 48:58talked about in Galatians 5 according to the Prince of the
- 49:03power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of
- 49:09disobedience, so there is a spirit is the Spirit, the queen
- 49:14of heaven that's talked about, that works in those of
- 49:18disobedience. It says, among whom also we all
- 49:23once conducted ourselves in the lust of our flesh, fulfilling
- 49:30the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and we were by nature
- 49:36children of wrath, just as the others.
- 49:40So we all start in the place where says the wages of sin is
- 49:46death. We are all sinners.
- 49:49We all start out as sinners. We all start out rebellious to
- 49:55God, but one day in our own timing that God knows, He will
- 50:01make us aware of that. And when we become aware of
- 50:05that, we have a choice. Do you want to continue in that
- 50:08path or do you want to change? If we want to change, we can
- 50:12turn to God and receive the Holy Spirit when we ask for
- 50:16forgiveness and we really mean it.
- 50:18And then we can change. We can avoid wrath because when
- 50:23we have the Holy Spirit, we are not subject to wrath.
- 50:27Wrath is discipline, is punishment for the disobedience.
- 50:33So when we surrender to God's Holy Spirit, then we are no
- 50:42longer subject to wrath. So that's why it's so important
- 50:45to be able to be to submit, to be able to, to have a
- 50:52willingness to do that because God longs for us to do that and
- 50:56he wants to save us from this corruption that we are under.
- 51:03You know, when talking about these Queens of Babylons and all
- 51:06these different names and about ISIS being considered the queen
- 51:09of heaven also, I just thought, you know, like it's really
- 51:14interesting that it's Iraq and Syria that are part of this.
- 51:18And Syria is a part of a Syria which is also like part of
- 51:24Turkey area. But Iraq is where Babylon was.
- 51:28And is it a coincidence or not? And especially because you think
- 51:34about this ISIS, what it's called an ISIS being the Queen
- 51:40of heaven, and it's Iraq and Syria that are combined that are
- 51:46doing terrorist kinds of things. And you look at verse 12, it
- 51:53says perhaps you will succeed, perhaps you will cause terror.
- 51:59So I mean, this is just kind of like, is it more than a
- 52:03coincidence? I don't know.
- 52:08So let's see where else was I? Another religion too, all this
- 52:14like unfortunately like the dragon and I know that you know,
- 52:20that is so an Asian belief about the dragon and it's very
- 52:29concerning. I was kind of looking at the
- 52:30dragon and there's so many different kinds of Dragons and
- 52:33things. And again, people who grew up
- 52:36with all only knowing that there's there's no blaming here.
- 52:42It's like you didn't have a choice.
- 52:43You learned that, but The thing is when you learn what's in the
- 52:49Bible is that the dragon is Satan.
- 52:53And so that's really concerning when you're in a religion that
- 52:56has Dragons and multiple Dragons and the color is red and
- 53:00everything in the Bible that's red is like evil or associated
- 53:04with the devil, with Satan. It's it's just it's very
- 53:10concerning that you know, are you in a worship of Satan with
- 53:19all these dragon things? Now it here's where in
- 53:22Revelation chapter 12, verse 9, the great dragon was hurled down
- 53:29the ancient serpent called the devil or Satan who leads the
- 53:36whole world astray. He was hurled to earth and his
- 53:42angels with him. So his fallen angels.
- 53:46So that is the sentence in Revelation chapter 12, verse
- 53:50nine that tells us that the dragon is Satan and he leads the
- 53:56whole world astray. And then there's another thing
- 54:00that another sentence that made me think of the the Asian
- 54:08religion that you know, has the Dragons and everything because
- 54:12the Dragons were believed to cause flooding and things.
- 54:16So here's a very interesting piece of scripture in Revelation
- 54:20chapter 12, verse 16. But the earth helped the woman,
- 54:24which is symbolic of Israel, by opening its mouth and swallowing
- 54:29the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
- 54:36So this is symbolic, but yet at the same time does it does it
- 54:44tie into I really think it does tie into the other religion that
- 54:49has all these Dragons in their culture.
- 54:53Like is this Satan and they don't even know it that it's
- 54:56Satan. There, there are many times
- 55:00where a Leviathan, that's another kind of dragon like
- 55:05thing. If you read the book of Job, you
- 55:07will read about things that don't exist today.
- 55:11At least we don't know or they're hidden from us today.
- 55:14But things that existed and it talked about like smoke coming
- 55:18out of its nostrils and fire and breathing.
- 55:21And so I don't think these Dragons were fake.
- 55:25I think they were real and they're either hidden or they
- 55:31were extinguished by God back at some point.
- 55:35But I don't think people just made this stuff up in their
- 55:38minds. I think they actually saw this
- 55:40stuff. And I don't think it was.
- 55:44I don't, I don't think it's, I don't think it's good.
- 55:46I think it's something evil. And of course, why would God's
- 55:51word equate a dragon with Satan if it was something good?
- 55:57So those are just things to ponder on.
- 55:59Maybe look into more. The other thing about confusion,
- 56:03I think in the spirit of Babylon is this whole trans movement
- 56:10that we've had about confusing genders over the last several
- 56:13years, that it's become like a lot of people, they're, they're
- 56:18mutilating themselves in order to be something that they are
- 56:22not. Like God made every person in
- 56:26his likeness and image and he has a purpose for every person.
- 56:31So he is not upset with how he formed you.
- 56:35And you don't need to be different than the way God made
- 56:39you. And because of the enemy's
- 56:43influences on our mind, we can think that we need to be
- 56:49different than what we are. But there is beauty in every
- 56:52single person that God creates, and there is something beautiful
- 56:57that God can bring forth if we submit to Him.
- 57:00And I do believe that this whole trans movement is a result of
- 57:07this spirit of Babylon. If I forgot which one of those,
- 57:12if it was Inanna or something, but there was, maybe I can find.
- 57:18OK, this is it. Although Inana Ishtar is the
- 57:22garden's par excellence, the beautiful maiden full of sex
- 57:27appeal, she is also depicted as an androgyn having masculine
- 57:36features. Example, a beard.
- 57:40So where do you think it says in the old Babylonian sources
- 57:43Ishtar was given masculinity by her father on so this is
- 57:52something like a deity. Do you think this could be one
- 57:55of Satan and his fallen angels who are impressing this on
- 58:00people who are because they haven't been seeking God or they
- 58:05haven't turned to God? And so they this evil spiritual
- 58:11influence is convincing people that they need to be something
- 58:15different than what they are. And it just seems like it's so
- 58:20clear that this Ishtar Inana is an Andrew is androgynous.
- 58:30And so it, it seems like, wow, this really, that could be the
- 58:34spirit that's influencing these people that are, are doing this.
- 58:39And there are people who have tried to D transition.
- 58:43There are people who have D transitioned after they've done
- 58:45it and they regret it. They were miserable.
- 58:48They thought it would bring them happiness, but it isn't.
- 58:50There's something inside of us that we do keep seeking
- 58:54happiness. We keep seeking different
- 58:56things, but we won't find that peace with ourselves until we
- 59:02truly find God and we realize who we are in God's eyes and how
- 59:09much God loves us and how important we are to Him and to
- 59:15what extent He has gone to save us from this evil that is
- 59:21present here. And if you think the stuff is
- 59:25all from the past, all from 507 hundred BC and it doesn't exist
- 59:32exist today, let me tell you otherwise.
- 59:36Because in researching this, I was looking for the 50 names of
- 59:40Marduk. I found something posted on
- 59:43September 15th of 2022 and it was about demons.
- 59:48And there was an image that said that says praise Marduk for
- 59:53bringing order into my life of chaos.
- 59:57It's like this witch wrote it. She's claims herself to be a
- 1:00:01witch and. And then it talks about this.
- 1:00:05In Mesopotamia mythology, Marduk is considered the most
- 1:00:08prestigious God who fought and defeated the mother goddess
- 1:00:11Tiamat and her lover Kingu. Marduk is often referred to as
- 1:00:16the agricultural and storm God. He is also the Co creator of
- 1:00:21humans and the creator of divine order.
- 1:00:23After defeating the chaos forces led by Tiamat.
- 1:00:26According to the Pneuma Elish, this God holds the power of
- 1:00:30lightning and possesses an inner fire, controls the wind of the
- 1:00:34four poles north, east, West and South.
- 1:00:37The power was given to him by Anu.
- 1:00:40He also commands the storm and is said to ride a very terrible
- 1:00:45chariot known as the Chariot of the Storm.
- 1:00:49So it goes on to say all of these things.
- 1:00:52I mean like where people are. Let's see, he was married to the
- 1:00:56goddess of fertility. Yeah.
- 1:01:00So it's like it took a lot of the things that are in the Bible
- 1:01:04and twisted it. And and then under this article,
- 1:01:08it says discover Related Top topics Ishtar love spell.
- 1:01:16I mean, there's just like there's a whole bunch of stuff
- 1:01:17here and it's like witchcraft and all this stuff.
- 1:01:21So there is all sorts of stuff which I don't even I'm not
- 1:01:24getting into all of that stuff, but it's it's going on today and
- 1:01:29God's word is relevant today. It's like come out of Babylon,
- 1:01:34come out of the spirit, come out of letting that spirit take
- 1:01:39control of your life. And all you have to do is seek
- 1:01:41God and speak with your mouth that you want the God, the one
- 1:01:46true God, the the Father of Jesus to bring you away from, to
- 1:01:55remove you from this deception, to protect you, that you
- 1:01:59surrender, you submit to God and that you believe.
- 1:02:03You have to believe in Jesus because Jesus is the one who was
- 1:02:08conceived by his mother Mary through the Holy Spirit.
- 1:02:13That's how he was born, and he came here to break the curse on
- 1:02:20mankind, which would send all of us into the burning lake of
- 1:02:23sulfur if it didn't happen, the burning lake of fire if, if he
- 1:02:27didn't do what he did on the cross, he broke the curse of
- 1:02:31death by being the ultimate, ultimate replacement sacrifice
- 1:02:37that was required. God or the law.
- 1:02:39God created the laws, but the laws allowed for a substitute
- 1:02:43sacrifice, like one could die for another mother.
- 1:02:47And that's what God did with his son Jesus.
- 1:02:50Jesus died for us to break the curse, kind of like witchcraft
- 1:02:56curse thing, if you want to call it that.
- 1:02:57But there were that. It's not really that because God
- 1:03:00said there were blessings and curses that come along with
- 1:03:02obedience or disobedience. So God's not going to have any
- 1:03:06disobedient people in His Kingdom.
- 1:03:10He's looking for people who are willing to be obedient.
- 1:03:13We aren't obedient to start with.
- 1:03:15We're all rebellious to different levels.
- 1:03:18God knows it. When we find out who God is and
- 1:03:23we agree, come into agreement with God that yes, you are holy,
- 1:03:27you are good and I am not, but I want to be in your Kingdom and
- 1:03:33I, I'm willing to be changed by your Holy Spirit.
- 1:03:37When we surrender like that, then God can start doing work in
- 1:03:41our life and we will start to change and we can then be in the
- 1:03:47future Kingdom of God where nothing evil will be present.
- 1:03:51There will be no more death. There will be no more sorrow or
- 1:03:56crying or tears or any of the things that we don't like.
- 1:04:00And I would say as a population, the whole world doesn't like
- 1:04:03that. Even evil people, I think, feel
- 1:04:06pain and suffering and emotional things that they don't like.
- 1:04:11But the source of getting rid of all of that is God.
- 1:04:15God brings true peace and true fulfillment and is love.
- 1:04:23The number one thing that God is is love.
- 1:04:25And I almost forgot because I'm talking so long, but I'm going
- 1:04:28to stop now. But I want to talk about what
- 1:04:31that that man was. If you want to find it on, it
- 1:04:35would probably be better to actually see it for yourself.
- 1:04:38But if you want to, it's the Instagram account called Gospel
- 1:04:42of Love. And it was such a sweet
- 1:04:46testimony from this man who was as, as a 17 year old boy.
- 1:04:51I'm just going, hopefully I get this right.
- 1:04:55He, he and his father were very devout Buddhists.
- 1:05:00And he was very prayerful. Well, he ended up with
- 1:05:04tuberculosis and he was told he had three to six months to live
- 1:05:10from the doctors. And so he was in his bed and he
- 1:05:15was praying to Buddha to come and rescue him, to save him, and
- 1:05:20nothing happened. And then he prayed to if there's
- 1:05:24a God in this universe, something, some, you know, help
- 1:05:28me rescue me. And ironically, and like I said,
- 1:05:32I don't believe in coincidences anymore.
- 1:05:34I used to, but I don't anymore. Some Christian girl happened to
- 1:05:39come by to him and pray with him or tell him about Jesus and she
- 1:05:47brought him a Bible. And so it took him a little bit,
- 1:05:52but he was, he had the Bible there and he actually got into
- 1:05:56it. He started reading it and it
- 1:05:58wasn't all philosophical, but it was more about a person, about a
- 1:06:02love about he read the New Testament about Jesus and the
- 1:06:06Gospels and he, he learned about this.
- 1:06:10And so at some point of his learning, he then prayed to, or
- 1:06:17he said he didn't even know how to pray.
- 1:06:19So he spoke to God and basically said, if you get kind of, I'm
- 1:06:23going to paraphrase, I can't remember exactly what he said,
- 1:06:25but he said, if you Get Me Out of this, then I will basically
- 1:06:28serve you. And so this man that did happen
- 1:06:33to him. He he did pass away in 2021
- 1:06:37because at the very end of the video, it said, you know what?
- 1:06:40His life ended in 2021. It was Pastor David Yonghi Cho,
- 1:06:46and I don't know if I'm pronouncing it correctly, but he
- 1:06:50from the, I don't know, sometime after he was 17 when he had
- 1:06:53tuberculosis, when he finally got to know or was introduced to
- 1:06:58Jesus, his life was extended 68 more years.
- 1:07:04And he did promise that if that happened, he would be of service
- 1:07:08to God. And he was, he was of service to
- 1:07:12God. And it's just such the sweetest
- 1:07:13story because he wasn't doing anything wrong.
- 1:07:17He was, he was doing only what he knew, what he was taught from
- 1:07:20his parents. And he was praying to Buddha.
- 1:07:22But Buddha didn't do anything for him, but Christ did.
- 1:07:27Jesus did. He's real and he will do that
- 1:07:30for all people. It was just such a heart warming
- 1:07:35true story of this man that really did move me.
- 1:07:39And it was interesting that it happened to be seen by me on the
- 1:07:44day that I'm reading chapters 46 and 47 about the gods of Babylon
- 1:07:50and coming to those thoughts as I was reading through.
- 1:07:54So anyway, I think there might be one more, two more questions
- 1:08:00and answers that I didn't cover, so I'm going to touch on that
- 1:08:03right now. What kind of sorcery, spells and
- 1:08:05astrology could be found in Babylon?
- 1:08:08Many ancient writers refer to Babylon as a source of the magic
- 1:08:12arts. Using various charms and
- 1:08:14rituals, incantations, sorcerers sought to manipulate the spirit
- 1:08:18world for their own benefit. We noticed anything that's self
- 1:08:22seeking selfish that is evil like God is selfless.
- 1:08:29He is you know you think about there is no greater sacrifice
- 1:08:34than to give your own life for someone else and that's what
- 1:08:38Jesus did. Jesus is the son of God.
- 1:08:41OK, astrologers charted the the stars and advise kings Daniel
- 1:08:47with God and advise kings Daniel with God as his source of
- 1:08:52knowledge was added to the ranks of Babylonian astrologers.
- 1:08:56The Magi who visited Jesus may have been heir, heir heirs of
- 1:09:02this tradition. So it was very widespread in
- 1:09:06there. And people, you know, if they
- 1:09:10only were taught that they didn't know, but there are,
- 1:09:12there are people who it says in the Bible, you know, like they
- 1:09:16would have been saved, but they chose not to repent.
- 1:09:20Again, it all boils down to our choice.
- 1:09:24God gives us a choice. But when you truly get to know
- 1:09:28God, I can't imagine that anyone would reject the love of God.
