  Speaker 1: it's something I've realized as I've gotten older. I understand

  Speaker 1: my mission. I've accepted my calling. I am crystal clear

  Speaker 1: about one of the reasons why I'm here. I now

  Speaker 1: fully understand why God made my life have the challenges

  Speaker 1: and setbacks in it that he did. So in moments

  Speaker 1: like this, when I'm talking to people, I can offer

  Speaker 1: them some tidbits, some gems, some jewels that I have

  Speaker 1: learned along the way. And I think of so many

  Speaker 1: things that I've learned in my past that I never

  Speaker 1: didn't understand at the time.

  Speaker 2: But I do not.

  Speaker 1: Something my mother used to say to me all the time.

  Speaker 1: My mother used to say, one day, God gonna give

  Speaker 1: you a big house up on the hill. You can't

  Speaker 1: get up on that hill, and don't tell nobody else

  Speaker 1: how to get there. Now, coming from a very poor background,

  Speaker 1: I didn't understand that at a time. And then you know,

  Speaker 1: that was a scripture talking about a house on a
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: hill and something like that was something something I didn't
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: know what she was talking about. I don't think my mama,

  Speaker 1: here come another Bible verse. I got to go to the

  Speaker 1: Bibles till they and figure this one out. I just

  Speaker 1: never did.

  Speaker 1: I understand now, and in that I understand my mission,

  Speaker 1: I understand my assignment. I've accepted my calling, and here

  Speaker 1: I am. So that's to say to everybody out there

  Speaker 1: who hasn't reached my plateau yet. As far as age goes,

  Speaker 1: the things you're going through right now is preparing you
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: for what you're going to be and what you're going

  Speaker 1: to have. And you've got to understand this process. I

  Speaker 1: didn't always understand it, but now that I've gone through

  Speaker 1: it and still going through it at time, I'm sharing

  Speaker 1: with you some things that you need to know about

  Speaker 1: the process that yeah, it is hard for you now,

  Speaker 1: but this too shall pass. Yes it's challenging for you now,

  Speaker 1: but this ain't gonna trouble last always. I'm telling you

  Speaker 1: what I've learned that you're going to get to the

  Speaker 1: other side of it eventually. And sometimes you get to

  Speaker 1: the other side and don't even realize you there, and

  Speaker 1: you just got to stay in the process. The most

  Speaker 1: important thing you have to remember, folks, in this whole

  Speaker 1: process is don't you ever ever give up. I don't

  Speaker 1: care what happens. Don't you ever give up? I don't

  Speaker 1: care how dark it look for you, how bleak the situation,

  Speaker 1: how charged with punishment the scroll. Don't you ever ever

  Speaker 1: give up? Because I have seen it happen too many times.

  Speaker 1: I have seen people who I know gave up before

  Speaker 1: the light switch got cut. On one more strike of

  Speaker 1: the hammer, they to hit oil, one more dig or

  Speaker 2: And the diamonds would have fell out.

  Speaker 1: I have seen people walk away from situations and the

  Speaker 1: very next day the person behind them reaped the benefits.

  Speaker 2: I've seen it over and over and over and over again.

  Speaker 1: I was determined I was not going to be that person.

  Speaker 1: I oftentimes I just asked God for strength. Now you

  Speaker 1: know what God does when you ask for strength, He

  Speaker 1: puts situations in front of you that requires you to

  Speaker 1: be strong. Because it's like going to the gym. You

  Speaker 1: can't go in there and get in that gym. One

  Speaker 1: of the big boys is that over there. You got
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: to start with some lightweights. You got to work up.

  Speaker 1: You can't jump in there and grab the sixties. You

  Speaker 1: gotta start your curls with them twenties. Man, you grab
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: them sixties and start curling, and see what happened.

  Speaker 2: You'll be discouraged. You'll go home.

  Speaker 1: Nah, man, you got to get you got to get

  Speaker 1: them life weights. You got to start building it up.

  Speaker 1: And as you build it up, you get stronger, and

  Speaker 1: you get stronger. So you ask God for strength. Yeah,

  Speaker 1: so he puts situation in front of you that requires

  Speaker 1: you to be strong. You asking God to make you

  Speaker 1: rich one day. You know what God gonna do. He
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: gonna make you understand what poverty is. See, because if

  Speaker 1: you do get rich one day, you're gonna have to
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: have an appreciation for it, because if you don't. People
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: who get rich quick don't have money loan because they don't.

  Speaker 2: Know the process.

  Speaker 1: So as you're asking God to increase your wealth, He's

  Speaker 1: also gonna let you stay in this poverty.

  Speaker 2: A little while too. I can attest to that.

  Speaker 1: As you ask God to bring you closer, which is

  Speaker 1: what I'm doing right now. You know what God gonna do.

  Speaker 1: He gonna put you in this situation to make you realize,

  Speaker 1: ain't nobody out there for you but Him, and I

  Speaker 1: ain't got no choice but to be closer to Him,

  Speaker 1: because guess what, can't nobody really help me, I don't

  Speaker 1: have no problems. Well, I can up the phone and

  Speaker 1: go yo, man, I need some help. No anybody finna

  Speaker 1: do that. God keeps me in situations where I have

  Speaker 1: to realize is only Him and no matter where the

  Speaker 1: attack comes from. I am now thoroughly convinced that God

  Speaker 1: got me. I am convinced of it. I wish y'all

  Speaker 1: could just learn it from me. Do you see how

  Speaker 1: I come and get on this radio every day with

  Speaker 1: this same attitude. I don't care what's swirling around me.

  Speaker 1: I have people all the time, Hey man, just checking

  Speaker 1: I really am. Because I am convinced that God is

  Speaker 1: with me. I am convinced that He's not gonna leave me.

  Speaker 1: I am convinced that no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

  Speaker 1: I am convinced that I can walk through the rivers
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: and the waters and will not be overcome. I am

  Speaker 1: convinced of that. I am convinced that he making me

  Speaker 1: lie down in green pastures. I'm convinced of it because

  Speaker 1: He'd done it for me time and time again, So

  Speaker 2: And if God said he'd never leave you. He he

  Speaker 1: You going through something, don't mean he'd have left you. Man,
