- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Confession.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Sessions, and I was like, oh my god, that's my
- 0:03Speaker 2: extra step brother.
- 0:05Speaker 3: What what.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Step what a mistake? Did you reach out? What happened?
- 0:12Speaker 2: Well, it's just so the message was just hey babe,
- 0:14Speaker 2: and then the photo.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Relatable.
- 0:27Speaker 3: The podcast is hosted by myself, Jake Craig aka Daddy,
- 0:30Speaker 3: and my partner aka Mummy and ad his Mummy because
- 0:34Speaker 3: he is when you go to when you have a dilemma.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Jake is Daddy because he just had too many coffees.
- 0:38Speaker 1: It seems like.
- 0:40Speaker 3: You could also actually I got the episodes mixed up.
- 0:43Speaker 3: He's the Mummy because he's when you go to when
- 0:44Speaker 3: you have a confession to make.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Yes, that is it and confessions are back. Jake, I'm
- 0:49Speaker 1: excited to a would.
- 0:51Speaker 3: You arguably go to your dad if you had a confession?
- 0:54Speaker 1: I think it depends on the gender of the child.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Maybe who would you go to If I had a
- 1:01Speaker 3: confession you had to get off your chest and it
- 1:04Speaker 3: was eating you up, and you're like mom or dad?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Who would you go to?
- 1:08Speaker 3: God? Probably my dad. I think I go to my dad.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I think I would do. And I think that's a
- 1:15Speaker 1: son's thing.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think the reason I go to my
- 1:17Speaker 3: dad is because he wouldn't not to say anything to
- 1:23Speaker 3: do with genders here. I think this is more a
- 1:25Speaker 3: personality thing. His way is always very calm. I think
- 1:30Speaker 3: if I had a confession, I would choose the calm parent,
- 1:32Speaker 3: whether it be my mom or my dad. In this situation,
- 1:34Speaker 3: it is my dad. It depends on the context of
- 1:36Speaker 3: the confession too. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So if
- 1:38Speaker 3: it was if it was a one where I didn't
- 1:42Speaker 3: want a big reaction, but if my dad had big reactions,
- 1:45Speaker 3: I'd be the same thing. If my mom was a
- 1:46Speaker 3: chill one, they go straighter.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's kind of like a stepping stone. You go
- 1:51Speaker 1: to your dad first and then a mom.
- 1:52Speaker 3: You need cool calm collection in some moments.
- 1:55Speaker 1: But confession sessions are back. This is where we call
- 1:58Speaker 1: you baddies to confess something, potentially anonymously, if the story
- 2:02Speaker 1: is juicy enough. And today, Jake, what is the prompt?
- 2:05Speaker 3: The prompt is? What is the prompt?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Christmas disasters?
- 2:10Speaker 3: Christmas disasters? Right of course, it's Christmas time.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Christmas is coming up very shortly. Are you excited?
- 2:18Speaker 3: I have a feeling this might be coming out. Oh no,
- 2:21Speaker 3: this is coming it's going to be. Christmas is going
- 2:23Speaker 3: to be like three weeks two, three weeks, three weeks
- 2:26Speaker 3: away from when.
- 2:26Speaker 1: This comes out.
- 2:28Speaker 3: No better time to start talking about Christmas than start
- 2:31Speaker 3: in November. Is your tree up? I don't think Beth
- 2:35Speaker 3: and I are going to get a tree. What because
- 2:37Speaker 3: we're not going to be at our house for Christmas,
- 2:39Speaker 3: We're going to be at my parents.
- 2:41Speaker 1: What about the Christmas I don't know. Feelings, spirit, spirit, Yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 1: I don't know, because you're only going to your parents
- 2:47Speaker 1: like two days before Christmas.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Yeah it is, Yeah, it's only two days before. You're right.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Here's my thing with with Australia. Nothing against Australia, but
- 3:00Speaker 3: Ralia at Christmas time doesn't feel like Christmas.
- 3:04Speaker 4: No.
- 3:05Speaker 3: But here's the thing, right, people that have grown up
- 3:07Speaker 3: here from birth, they also say it doesn't feel like
- 3:12Speaker 3: Christmas here because my frame of reference is having spent
- 3:15Speaker 3: like ten Christmases in Canada where it's really cold and
- 3:18Speaker 3: snowy in wintery for Christmas and like cozy, and it
- 3:21Speaker 3: feels quite Christmasy. So I understand my frame of reference.
- 3:24Speaker 3: But where is everyone else's frame of reference coming from?
- 3:27Speaker 1: Well, I've only ever known hot, Yeah, Christmases. I saw
- 3:30Speaker 1: a video actually it was Tony Lodge from Tony and
- 3:32Speaker 1: Ryan's podcast, and she was saying, it's so weird how
- 3:36Speaker 1: even though Australia Christmas is in summer and it's like
- 3:39Speaker 1: thirty to four degrees, we still listen to American and
- 3:43Speaker 1: European Christmas songs where it's like it's good, look it's
- 3:46Speaker 1: cold outside. Alrighty guys, but the prompt, as we said,
- 3:53Speaker 1: is Christmas disasters. So let's ring one of you baddies.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Hello, Hello, welcome.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Them to Confession Sessions. How's it going.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Hi, I'm good, How are you good?
- 4:04Speaker 3: Thank you?
- 4:05Speaker 1: First things first is would you like to be anonymous?
- 4:07Speaker 1: I know you said your name at the start, but
- 4:08Speaker 1: I can cut that out if you.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Want to be anonymous, you know what, it doesn't matter.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I can.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Very nice to meet you. Joined here by Jake.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Hello, Hi Jake. It was so weird hearing you guys
- 4:22Speaker 2: on my phone?
- 4:23Speaker 3: Is it actually? Yeah?
- 4:25Speaker 2: Because I like listen to your podcast while I get
- 4:27Speaker 2: ready in the morning and while I'm at work, So
- 4:30Speaker 2: it's just weird actually interacting having a conversation.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's kind of like it's like.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Live Yeah, anything, you've ever wanted to ask this?
- 4:39Speaker 5: Well?
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. How was Bally?
- 4:44Speaker 1: How Bali? Bali was amazing, really good. I was like,
- 4:47Speaker 1: yeah good reset Actually, yeah, we had a great time.
- 4:52Speaker 2: And is there a reason you guys keep going back
- 4:54Speaker 2: to Barli?
- 4:56Speaker 3: Just easy? Hey? Yeah, first reader, it's like, I mean
- 5:00Speaker 3: you sound Australian.
- 5:01Speaker 6: Is yeah, we're about to actually what what state?
- 5:05Speaker 5: I'm in?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Melbourne?
- 5:06Speaker 3: Okay, I was going to say, because Australia it's just
- 5:09Speaker 3: so close, it's so easy and it's like cheap. Yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 3: and get a nice villa. Have you been?
- 5:14Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 5:14Speaker 2: I have, but I went with my family, so it
- 5:16Speaker 2: wasn't really a party vibe. But my go to is Thailand.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Ah.
- 5:22Speaker 1: We have a friend that loves ti Agenda.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's my favorite place.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Is this that a little bit further where it's like
- 5:29Speaker 1: it's a bit more of effort?
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Do you do you like it better than Bali?
- 5:33Speaker 1: Though?
- 5:35Speaker 2: I do?
- 5:35Speaker 3: Okay, fair, that's fair. We won't take offense to that.
- 5:38Speaker 3: We want to try it, so yeah you should. We're
- 5:41Speaker 3: up under saying it's better. But you have a Christmas
- 5:45Speaker 3: disaster confession session for us?
- 5:49Speaker 2: I do I do?
- 5:52Speaker 3: Well? We would like you to take it from the
- 5:55Speaker 3: very tippy top and don't let out any details. We
- 5:58Speaker 3: want to feel like, yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yep, amazing. So this was quite a few years ago
- 6:05Speaker 2: in my early twenties. I was having a nice Christmas
- 6:10Speaker 2: lunch with my whole family and my boyfriend who had
- 6:13Speaker 2: been seeing for like a year at the time, and
- 6:18Speaker 2: We're having a beautiful dinner, kind of getting a little
- 6:20Speaker 2: deep as Christmas, you know, lunches get and then suddenly
- 6:25Speaker 2: I got a notification on my watch, sat an Apple watch,
- 6:29Speaker 2: and I looked and the photo looked very skin colored,
- 6:36Speaker 2: and when I looked into it, realized that it was a.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Dickic oh wait on your watch on my watch.
- 6:47Speaker 2: So yeah, I laughed or screamed, I can't even remember
- 6:52Speaker 2: what reaction I had, and sat out my drink and
- 6:56Speaker 2: everyone's just looking at me because it was my family
- 6:59Speaker 2: and my boyfrien and their siblings well, and so I
- 7:04Speaker 2: was like, oh, no, no, no, don't worry about some
- 7:05Speaker 2: browout me.
- 7:06Speaker 4: I just know it went, it went down the wrong hole.
- 7:11Speaker 5: And then I.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Just passed my phone to my boyfriend because you were
- 7:15Speaker 2: sitting next to me the whole time, and like he
- 7:17Speaker 2: couldn't have sent me anything, and you know, each to
- 7:20Speaker 2: their own, but we're not nuds kind of people. So
- 7:23Speaker 2: it was my first ever dick pic that I see,
- 7:28Speaker 2: luckily Christmas lunch next to my boyfriend, some complete random
- 7:35Speaker 2: person seenis.
- 7:36Speaker 3: I was going to say, were you thinking so it
- 7:37Speaker 3: was a random but were you thinking like did he
- 7:40Speaker 3: pre take this and send it to me to be
- 7:41Speaker 3: like funny?
- 7:43Speaker 1: No?
- 7:43Speaker 7: Not.
- 7:44Speaker 2: That wasn't even in my head because we just I
- 7:47Speaker 2: set my boundaries around nudes and dick pics and things
- 7:50Speaker 2: like that, and that's just not something I was comfortable with.
- 7:52Speaker 2: And he's very respectful, Like we've been dating for seven
- 7:55Speaker 2: years now, so he's very good at respecting boundaries and
- 7:59Speaker 2: all that. Yeah. So I just passed my phone to
- 8:03Speaker 2: my boyfriend and he goes, oh, who's this person and
- 8:07Speaker 2: said the person's name and I was like, oh my god,
- 8:10Speaker 2: that's my extra step brother.
- 8:12Speaker 3: What what what a mistake?
- 8:17Speaker 1: Did you reach out? What happened?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Well, it just so the message was just hey babe,
- 8:22Speaker 2: and then the photos, oh la, how Yeah, no prior
- 8:28Speaker 2: conversations or anything like, we had never messaged each other before.
- 8:32Speaker 1: What did you have his contact saved on your phone?
- 8:39Speaker 2: No, it was just through Facebook Messenger, so he found
- 8:42Speaker 2: me on Facebook.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And then he's intentionally done this.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and we I had broken up with my ex
- 8:49Speaker 2: like a year and a half ago at that point.
- 8:51Speaker 3: This is weird.
- 8:52Speaker 1: This is weird.
- 8:53Speaker 2: This is so I completely forgot about this human's existence
- 8:56Speaker 2: and then got it.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Your exes step brother like, yeah, oh my god, did
- 9:04Speaker 3: you did you reply?
- 9:07Speaker 2: So I actually gave my phone to my boyfriend as
- 9:10Speaker 2: that I don't even want to look at it. Can
- 9:11Speaker 2: you just figure it out? And so he was then
- 9:14Speaker 2: showing his younger brother who was there.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Was oh, look at this, this is ridiculous, and then
- 9:21Speaker 4: his so my boyfriend's brother goes, I actually know this guy.
- 9:25Speaker 2: We used to be housemates very briefly.
- 9:29Speaker 1: For you. I actually know this penis development story.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I found out that my boyfriend's brother, Elizabeth weird
- 9:40Speaker 4: dick pic guy also happens to be my extis brother
- 9:44Speaker 4: for a very short time.
- 9:46Speaker 3: That is actually insane. Did the rest of the family
- 9:49Speaker 3: find out because there was a little bit of a commotion.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Going on or I didn't tell my parents, but the children,
- 9:57Speaker 2: well the adult children all knew about it by day.
- 10:01Speaker 3: What did you did?
- 10:01Speaker 7: You?
- 10:02Speaker 3: Was your boyfriend just like, what the hell?
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah he was, because yeah, he's just like, what is
- 10:07Speaker 2: what is going on? And because my ex and I
- 10:10Speaker 2: we broke up, not in great terms, so he knew
- 10:13Speaker 2: that I wouldn't have been in contact with anyone from
- 10:15Speaker 2: them anyway. Yeah, so it was just a complete what
- 10:18Speaker 2: what on earth is going on here?
- 10:21Speaker 3: Did you? What? Did you guys? End up thinking? Of
- 10:23Speaker 3: a replied descent.
- 10:25Speaker 2: So my boyfriend just took a selfie of his face,
- 10:30Speaker 2: like really close up and just said, do you want
- 10:33Speaker 2: to see mine too?
- 10:36Speaker 3: I was going to say, like he could have just
- 10:38Speaker 3: set one right.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Back, but he, yeah, didn't reply to that.
- 10:44Speaker 3: So so is that your first and last unsolicited.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yes, that is my first and laugh ever solicited or unsolicited.
- 10:55Speaker 1: At any point, like initially at face value, did you
- 10:58Speaker 1: think like my boyfriend trying I know, you give respects
- 11:00Speaker 1: boundy at any point you're like, what's he doing? Like
- 11:02Speaker 1: is he trying to like can keep the dinner table
- 11:04Speaker 1: or anything?
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah? No, no, she said that he didn't.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah, was there any point that, like initially when you
- 11:09Speaker 1: saw it, because he watched it kind of small to
- 11:10Speaker 1: you like oh my god, yeah yeah yeah, Or do
- 11:12Speaker 1: you immediately be like.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Oh, what the fuck?
- 11:14Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I didn't even think that that was an
- 11:16Speaker 2: option that my Christmas send me one at Christmas lunch
- 11:20Speaker 2: with my factlessly, Yeah, it was just, oh my god,
- 11:24Speaker 2: what is this?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Weeah, we're back to a really good story, I guess.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I genuinely don't even know what to say. I'm not
- 11:30Speaker 3: gonna lie on.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so random.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I was going to say, like I was going to
- 11:39Speaker 3: ask you whether or not he potentially could have accidentally,
- 11:45Speaker 3: but the fact it was on Facebook and you would
- 11:47Speaker 3: have had to look you up specifically is yeah.
- 11:49Speaker 2: And the fact that we didn't have prior messages either, yeah.
- 11:53Speaker 3: So he wasn't going to open an old message. And
- 11:55Speaker 3: also the fact that you've got to look the person up,
- 11:58Speaker 3: and even if it initially was an accident going into
- 12:01Speaker 3: the wrong chat, you have chances to see it's an
- 12:04Speaker 3: accident and not send it, so to go, Yeah, that's crazy.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah, And.
- 12:09Speaker 2: This wasn't twenty eighteen or nineteen.
- 12:13Speaker 1: No, to be fair, there was like a phase of
- 12:15Speaker 1: disgusting men going through sending unsolicited dig pics and being
- 12:18Speaker 1: like that was their way of saying like high and
- 12:20Speaker 1: thinking like that was their way.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I still think that happens, I'm not going to hold Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 3: I remember like.
- 12:27Speaker 1: He was probably thinking he was actually like shooting his shot.
- 12:29Speaker 3: So weird was his face in it?
- 12:31Speaker 1: No, surely not.
- 12:32Speaker 2: No, it was just literally just the thing.
- 12:37Speaker 4: There's no sexy pos, no like you know, flirty.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It was just the thing. And my name on Facebook
- 12:44Speaker 2: isn't my real name. Oh so it's just like my
- 12:48Speaker 2: first niece split in half. Yeah, and so he would
- 12:50Speaker 2: have actively had to search for my name in that
- 12:54Speaker 2: way to find me.
- 12:56Speaker 3: See, the craziest thing about this situation is like it's illegal.
- 13:01Speaker 3: It is literally an illegal thing to do. It's considered,
- 13:04Speaker 3: like I believe, is it sexual harassment? I think it.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's sexual harassment.
- 13:10Speaker 3: It's literally sexual harassment to send an unsolicited nude. And yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 3: it's like that he wouldn't have even probably wouldn't have
- 13:17Speaker 3: even crossed his mind.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Sorry, very Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Wow, that's annoying because it's like I hadn't had one
- 13:25Speaker 1: before and it was just some chat discussing one.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I mean, I admire the concert, but it was just.
- 13:37Speaker 1: So thank you very much for telling that and kicking
- 13:39Speaker 1: off the episode too.
- 13:40Speaker 4: That was a great story, amazing looking forward to hearing.
- 13:43Speaker 3: It, I have a wonderful rest of your day.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Yeah you bye bye ah.
- 13:49Speaker 3: That's in getting a dick pic on your watch.
- 13:54Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Facebook Messenger is even extra bold because I'm thinking, like,
- 14:01Speaker 1: if it's eye message or message you could justify as
- 14:04Speaker 1: a mistake.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Like you said, there's yeah, like there's things where people
- 14:08Speaker 3: it's like I just I don't know.
- 14:11Speaker 1: But also there's no ever, there's no way it's ever
- 14:14Speaker 1: going to be a mistake. I don't know the type
- 14:16Speaker 1: of person who does it, but like, if you're going
- 14:18Speaker 1: on the epfit of sending that, you've got to send
- 14:19Speaker 1: it to the right person.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Here's what I'm thinking. Yeah, like if you're sending a
- 14:22Speaker 3: dick pic accidentally to the wrong person, my question is
- 14:26Speaker 3: how many dick pics do you send for that to
- 14:29Speaker 3: even be a thing that is possible because we've said
- 14:34Speaker 3: before not sending them. So I'm just thinking in my head,
- 14:39Speaker 3: if I was to send one, I would be second
- 14:42Speaker 3: guessing and be and I would be like, is it
- 14:45Speaker 3: going to the right person? There's zero chance it would
- 14:47Speaker 3: go to my mum, but I would be making sure
- 14:49Speaker 3: it's not going to my mum. So therefore I wouldn't
- 14:52Speaker 3: fuck up who it's going.
- 14:53Speaker 1: To exactly exactly. And also coming back to what I said,
- 14:56Speaker 1: we've like a couple of years ago, like men went
- 14:59Speaker 1: through it. You're probably that it's still sure, it's a
- 15:02Speaker 1: very reoccurring thing. Yeah, but also I don't know, we
- 15:05Speaker 1: don't have that many men listening, but I don't it's
- 15:08Speaker 1: never ever going to be a good approach ever, Like
- 15:11Speaker 1: where did guys think, oh, yeah, this is a good idea.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Also, here's my other question, right, is like if you
- 15:17Speaker 3: have sent if you're sending an unsolicited dick pic expecting
- 15:23Speaker 3: a good outcome, know what that means to me is
- 15:27Speaker 3: how many times have you done it? And what's your
- 15:29Speaker 3: hit rate? Like have you had a good outcome before? Yeah?
- 15:33Speaker 1: I don't know. Didn't people have that tea PDHP thing
- 15:37Speaker 1: like asking for consent, asking for tea?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Also chat how good do you think your dick look.
- 15:44Speaker 6: Good?
- 15:44Speaker 3: Looks?
- 15:45Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 15:45Speaker 3: Look like little alien? They are not good looking at things? Bro,
- 15:49Speaker 3: like a body pick? Yeah, send like a back pick
- 15:52Speaker 3: or something yeah like yeah yeah, like get someone thinking
- 15:55Speaker 3: about running their hands over your muscles, Like you don't
- 15:58Speaker 3: have to send a dick.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Let's take this step back and ask her if she
- 16:01Speaker 1: wants one.
- 16:02Speaker 3: First, let's first of all do that, right, but also
- 16:05Speaker 3: like you're better off sending like a butthole pic.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Bro, I'm thinking about this guy, you know when Christmas
- 16:13Speaker 1: when like I don't know, you've had a bad Christmas
- 16:14Speaker 1: and you like learn me or whatever. This poor fucking dude,
- 16:17Speaker 1: this is a good idea to do on Christmas Day
- 16:19Speaker 1: at lunchtime.
- 16:20Speaker 3: It's that Melbourne mentality. I'm kidding. I'm kidding, I'm kidding,
- 16:24Speaker 3: wild disgusting.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Hello, Welcome to Confession Sessions. How's it going? How are
- 16:36Speaker 1: you good? Thank you? First things, first, I know you
- 16:39Speaker 1: said your name. Would you like to be anonymous for
- 16:41Speaker 1: your story?
- 16:41Speaker 8: Though, h no, I will say my name.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Okay, very nice to meet you. I'm here with Jake.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Hello.
- 16:52Speaker 8: Hello, Oh my goodness.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Are you excited to be here?
- 16:57Speaker 8: I am very excited. I've been watching you guys since
- 17:00Speaker 8: Budie was looking like Jack Cross.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Oh what a reference? Well, oh my god, you're a
- 17:07Speaker 3: certified Baddie.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Batty.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I was even thinking when the I look like that,
- 17:14Speaker 3: I literally was thinkingthing looks like that. But I'm pretty
- 17:16Speaker 3: sure you've done it twice. I have, I have, I have.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Today's prompt is Christmas Disaster. But before we get into that,
- 17:25Speaker 1: we just wanted to ask a couple of questions. Where
- 17:26Speaker 1: are you from.
- 17:28Speaker 5: I'm from.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Very beautiful spot in the world.
- 17:33Speaker 8: Yeah, it's quite nice here.
- 17:35Speaker 3: You have you been over to Fraser on a couple
- 17:37Speaker 3: of times?
- 17:38Speaker 8: I went once and I was like too, and I've
- 17:40Speaker 8: not been back since.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Oh really really, it's a classic situation of like, you
- 17:46Speaker 3: grow up somewhere and you grew up in a place
- 17:49Speaker 3: where there is an iconic thing, and everyone's like, oh,
- 17:52Speaker 3: what's that thing like? And then you go, I don't know,
- 17:54Speaker 3: I just grew up here. I didn't do it, Like, yeah,
- 18:00Speaker 3: that's me whole lot. Yeah, like I can see it
- 18:03Speaker 3: from the beach. But that's just.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And final question now is is your Christmas tree up yet?
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yes?
- 18:11Speaker 8: My Christmas tree went up the day before Halloween.
- 18:14Speaker 3: The day before Halloween.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yah, Halloween in the Christmas spirit. Jake just said before
- 18:24Speaker 1: he's not going to put one up. What. Yeah, that
- 18:28Speaker 1: is criminal. Thank you for being on my No my eyes.
- 18:33Speaker 3: So me and my girlfriend are going to my parents
- 18:36Speaker 3: place for Christmas, so we're not even going to be
- 18:38Speaker 3: I have it. We don't have to put presents under
- 18:40Speaker 3: the tree because we're not going to be there twenty
- 18:42Speaker 3: third of December.
- 18:43Speaker 8: But nah, noa, it still needs to be up.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Oh, completely agree.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Maybe I'll maybe I'll pick one up on my way home. Everybody,
- 18:54Speaker 3: I'll pick it up on my way home and I'll
- 18:55Speaker 3: surprise my girlfriend with.
- 18:56Speaker 1: That's actually a good idea.
- 18:57Speaker 8: Yeah, I love it.
- 18:59Speaker 1: But you have a story to go with a Christmas disaster,
- 19:02Speaker 1: so take it from the top. Don't leave out any details.
- 19:06Speaker 8: Okay, all right, So my Christmas disaster is about two
- 19:11Speaker 8: years ago. My ex husband works me up from my
- 19:17Speaker 8: sleep at like midnight on the twenty second of December.
- 19:22Speaker 8: He was sobbing and saying we have to talk. So
- 19:24Speaker 8: instantly I'm like, who was dead? I'm like, who has died?
- 19:27Speaker 5: What is going on?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Anyway?
- 19:31Speaker 8: He tells me he's cheated on me. What and he
- 19:37Speaker 8: needs to go to the doctor and get an STD
- 19:40Speaker 8: check and I have to go and get one too.
- 19:43Speaker 8: What this is all the twenty second of December? What
- 19:54Speaker 8: it gets better? Well, it's not done. So my second child,
- 20:02Speaker 8: her birthday is on the twenty third of December.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Wonderful, what a fucking yes.
- 20:08Speaker 8: So I've spent the day before her first birthday, going
- 20:13Speaker 8: around and getting an STD check, and at this point
- 20:18Speaker 8: I couldn't find out the results until after Christmas because
- 20:21Speaker 8: you know, obviously everything closes for Christmas time.
- 20:24Speaker 5: Yeah, and like.
- 20:30Speaker 8: Like the best part about all of this is he
- 20:33Speaker 8: told me he cheated on me with a guy.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Oh well, I said, did this on the twenty second?
- 20:42Speaker 1: This guy get like go out or something hit the town?
- 20:45Speaker 8: And then when did hen break at works? When his
- 20:50Speaker 8: LUN's break at work?
- 20:51Speaker 3: Oh? What did you do for work?
- 20:54Speaker 8: Ah? He is A. I don't know if I can
- 20:56Speaker 8: say you didn't have to say.
- 20:59Speaker 3: That's all right, We'll keep We'll leave it up to
- 21:00Speaker 3: the imagination. Yeah wow, I mean I'm so sorry that
- 21:04Speaker 3: you got cheated on. I like you said ex husband,
- 21:06Speaker 3: you went through.
- 21:07Speaker 8: A divorce then oh yeah we're divorced now.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Yeah yeah wow, oh god, I'm so sorry. What did
- 21:14Speaker 3: the Christmas like season end up being? Were you guys?
- 21:17Speaker 3: Did you what did like did you tell the kids
- 21:20Speaker 3: and stuff?
- 21:22Speaker 8: We we have to play pretend for like the next
- 21:26Speaker 8: couple of days to get through like my daughter's birthday
- 21:28Speaker 8: and Christmas and stuff.
- 21:30Speaker 4: And then.
- 21:33Speaker 8: Like come Boxing Day, I sent him to his brother
- 21:36Speaker 8: and I said, sort him out. I don't want to
- 21:38Speaker 8: see him. And while he was with his brother, I
- 21:41Speaker 8: get a message from a girl I went to high
- 21:42Speaker 8: school with on Boxing Day saying, I've just seen your
- 21:46Speaker 8: husband on Tinder. You guys like together or not?
- 21:48Speaker 7: Oh my, right away?
- 21:53Speaker 3: What in the world is wrong with this manult.
- 21:55Speaker 1: In the world?
- 21:56Speaker 8: Oh my god, he's literally aw.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Well, I guess it's kind of like confirmation and like
- 22:04Speaker 1: fuck it out of my life.
- 22:05Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, literally.
- 22:09Speaker 3: That's tough. So you've been that? Did you say it
- 22:11Speaker 3: was two years ago?
- 22:12Speaker 8: Yeah? That was two years ago now.
- 22:14Speaker 3: So it was assuming I'm assuming it was obviously quite
- 22:16Speaker 3: difficult the time. But how are you now?
- 22:20Speaker 8: Fabulous?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Living my best life?
- 22:22Speaker 1: Yes, we love to hear it.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Yeah awesome? Are you still? Are you single? Moment it? Yeah?
- 22:29Speaker 8: I am a single moment and like just being a
- 22:33Speaker 8: total baddie.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I've never thought of the claim.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Yeah, the claim of being Yeah, it's a title.
- 22:45Speaker 6: Damn.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Okay, well, I mean that is.
- 22:52Speaker 8: What Also, he has a girlfriend now.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Oh okay, so he's by.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Yeah, like we totally if he had just told me, yeah,
- 23:02Speaker 4: it's just what.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Was his demeanor like when he told you? Because work
- 23:06Speaker 1: you up. Was he like freaking out or was he
- 23:08Speaker 1: just he was like sobbing?
- 23:10Speaker 2: Okay, right, he was sobbing.
- 23:12Speaker 8: And then he told me and I just sat there
- 23:14Speaker 8: with like a blank space because I'm not gonna like
- 23:17Speaker 8: give him what he wants. I just sat there with
- 23:19Speaker 8: like a blank pace. And he goes and you're not
- 23:21Speaker 8: even reacting.
- 23:21Speaker 5: More, don't you even care?
- 23:23Speaker 8: Don't you even care that our marriage is going to
- 23:25Speaker 8: be over? And I was like, I was like, I
- 23:28Speaker 8: didn't make this choice.
- 23:31Speaker 3: That's like a pretty is that? Is that manipulation or
- 23:34Speaker 3: is that gas lighting and manipulation the same thing?
- 23:38Speaker 8: He's different, but yeah, it's like gas lighting. Yeah. I
- 23:43Speaker 8: was like, I didn't make this choice.
- 23:45Speaker 1: This is on you.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Wow. Did he ever come out to you and
- 23:49Speaker 3: say he's been that way his whole life? Or he
- 23:51Speaker 3: just like had he just cheated on you with a man?
- 23:54Speaker 3: And it was like in the moment and then that's
- 23:56Speaker 3: how he just found out he was by.
- 23:59Speaker 8: He said that he was so it wasn't like a
- 24:03Speaker 8: random from grinder. Yeah, and he's like, oh, I just
- 24:08Speaker 8: was at work and I wanted a quick one.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Oh.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I was like, okay, I'm not computing there.
- 24:20Speaker 8: Yeah, I think I think he's closeted. He's too scared
- 24:26Speaker 8: to come out.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Yeah, which, like it's kind of funny because I think
- 24:29Speaker 3: you could argue, well, like I feel so bad that
- 24:31Speaker 3: he's too scared to come out, But at the same time,
- 24:33Speaker 3: you don't have to then cheat on your wife. Yeah, Like, no,
- 24:36Speaker 3: there's no excuse for that. So that's that's tough. Well,
- 24:40Speaker 3: thank you for telling it, and we're glad that you
- 24:42Speaker 3: are killing it. Really Christmas, Merry Christmas. God. That's like
- 24:49Speaker 3: a wild timing. I think if that guy should have
- 24:53Speaker 3: like obviously admitted he cheated, but I'm trying to think
- 24:56Speaker 3: timing wise, like he could have done it potentially just
- 24:59Speaker 3: after New Years.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I was thinking. I was thinking, as the reciprocant of
- 25:05Speaker 1: the one being cheated on, would you prefer to not
- 25:08Speaker 1: find out who everything's like petered out or immediately after
- 25:12Speaker 1: they've done it and just get it over with. I
- 25:15Speaker 1: don't know how I'd feel about it.
- 25:16Speaker 3: A certain scenarios, I think, especially when kids are involved.
- 25:20Speaker 3: I think just because of the timing, I can't speak
- 25:24Speaker 3: for the baddie, but for me, I think for me,
- 25:28Speaker 3: ignorance would have been bliss for my kid's birthday, Christmas,
- 25:33Speaker 3: then also New Year's get through that and then tell
- 25:38Speaker 3: me right after, and I think I would be upset,
- 25:43Speaker 3: so like I'd be irrational in the moment. I'm not
- 25:45Speaker 3: necessarily irrational, still rational. But let's say I get told
- 25:48Speaker 3: on the second of January, right and they say, I
- 25:50Speaker 3: just wanted to wait till this day, so Christmas for
- 25:53Speaker 3: the kids and stuff could have been great. I would
- 25:55Speaker 3: have been like, well, fuck, you should have told me
- 25:57Speaker 3: straight away. But then we used down the track. I
- 26:01Speaker 3: think I would be like, okay, like at least our
- 26:03Speaker 3: kids Christmas wasn't ruined, but it sounds like they held
- 26:05Speaker 3: it together in for the kids anyway, which and then
- 26:08Speaker 3: she was like.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You're forcing her hold it together.
- 26:11Speaker 3: It's so crazy. And also to say it so to
- 26:16Speaker 3: wake her up at midnight balling your eyes out, I've
- 26:19Speaker 3: treated on you. I went on grinder. I just needed
- 26:21Speaker 3: a quick one at work the other day on my break,
- 26:23Speaker 3: Well the way you phrase it too, like I just
- 26:25Speaker 3: needed a quick one. And then also she's kind of
- 26:28Speaker 3: obviously thinking like in the moment, no reaction is like
- 26:32Speaker 3: the best reaction. Like, by the way, I think that's
- 26:35Speaker 3: the sickest most BADDI shit. That was hectic to then
- 26:40Speaker 3: have him balling and then hit like your reaction being
- 26:43Speaker 3: so nonchalant about the situation, to get him to be like,
- 26:46Speaker 3: what about our marriage is so fucking baller?
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I know.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I think that is so fucking sick.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I rate it. Aye. Now what I'm going to probably
- 26:58Speaker 1: have to do. I have to block her name. Yeah,
- 27:01Speaker 1: that's probably go I do just for his even though
- 27:03Speaker 1: we don't like him. Yeah, No, it's probably smart his safety.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I think definitely. He's chose to tell you she said
- 27:08Speaker 1: where she's from and her name, so fair, that's his life,
- 27:10Speaker 1: you know. Hello, Hello, and welcome to Confession Sessions.
- 27:20Speaker 3: How are you?
- 27:22Speaker 5: I'm good. How are you guys?
- 27:23Speaker 3: Doing very very well? I've got Addie here to my left.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Hello. I'm excited for your story.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Quickly. I want to just ask straight away off the bat,
- 27:33Speaker 3: is if you would like to be anonymous for your
- 27:35Speaker 3: story or not.
- 27:38Speaker 5: No, it's about my dog's not me. I don't really care.
- 27:40Speaker 5: My name is.
- 27:41Speaker 3: CALLI, Hello, CALLI all right, So you're an American baddie Canadian? No,
- 27:49Speaker 3: I have't believe I didn't get that. Okay, I want
- 27:51Speaker 3: to have three guesses of about where about in Canada
- 27:55Speaker 3: you're from?
- 27:55Speaker 5: Okay, okay, yeah, I'm so.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Number one is Calgary? No, number two is Edmonton?
- 28:06Speaker 1: No?
- 28:08Speaker 3: Okay?
- 28:09Speaker 5: More wor more worst?
- 28:10Speaker 3: I didn't even know what's close to Edmonton. Crap, jasper, No.
- 28:13Speaker 5: I'm from BC. I'm from like an hour from Vancouver.
- 28:17Speaker 3: I'm in Abbitsford, abbits Fit. Oh my mom's.
- 28:21Speaker 5: Okay, like not too far.
- 28:22Speaker 3: I didn't Flowers. I didn't want to give the answers
- 28:25Speaker 3: where I'm like, that's where I'm from. Abder say I'm
- 28:26Speaker 3: cool and give.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Well.
- 28:31Speaker 3: So Christmas is coming up, So where you are right
- 28:33Speaker 3: now must be getting a little bit chilly.
- 28:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:36Speaker 5: I think it's supposed to snow this week, so it's starting.
- 28:40Speaker 3: My sister said the other day that it was like
- 28:41Speaker 3: one degree for the whole day where she was, and
- 28:43Speaker 3: I was just like, that's insane.
- 28:46Speaker 5: Yeah, not not ready for it.
- 28:48Speaker 3: But we have a question for you. Yes, is your
- 28:52Speaker 3: Christmas tree up yet?
- 28:54Speaker 5: Not yet? I'm going to get the threekends, okay?
- 28:56Speaker 1: Real or does everyone have real in Canada?
- 29:00Speaker 5: Like real trees, like real Christmas trees? I'd say yes,
- 29:03Speaker 5: unless you live in an apartment. If you live an apartment.
- 29:06Speaker 5: Most times you're not allowed because that the fire happened.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I suppose they grow more native over there, whereas
- 29:11Speaker 1: pretty much yeah, eighty of Australia is fake.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah everyone in Australia. There's some like tree farms people,
- 29:16Speaker 3: but I just think, how can you make money once
- 29:19Speaker 3: a year.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I remember as a kid, I used to go because
- 29:22Speaker 1: my dad's the hort of culturest you know, go hunt
- 29:24Speaker 1: one down, would cut one down illegally.
- 29:28Speaker 3: In Canada, people go drive and do it. Okay, so
- 29:32Speaker 3: oh yeah, So Christmas disaster confession session, please take it
- 29:37Speaker 3: from the very top, don't leave out any details, and
- 29:40Speaker 3: we would love to hear what your dog has done.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Okay, just a backstory, Like I live on a farm.
- 29:46Speaker 5: I have two very big dogs. I have a rott
- 29:49Speaker 5: Wiler and my boyfriend has a Belgian malanmore German Shepherd mix,
- 29:55Speaker 5: so big, high energy dog. We're having Christmas my family
- 30:00Speaker 5: in the city and they have an older dog who's
- 30:04Speaker 5: a sweetheart, but he's kind of spoiled and grumpy now
- 30:07Speaker 5: because he's old and he doesn't get along great with
- 30:11Speaker 5: my male dog. The German shepherds, and so my sister
- 30:16Speaker 5: who's very city. He's not very much a dog person.
- 30:19Speaker 5: She was living at my parents' house with her fiance,
- 30:23Speaker 5: he's also not really a dog person, and they're like,
- 30:26Speaker 5: just bring your dog, and I was like, that's not fair,
- 30:30Speaker 5: Like it's Christmas, Like my boyfriend should be able to
- 30:32Speaker 5: bring his dog. It's his first Christmas with a dog,
- 30:34Speaker 5: like he was a puppy at the time too, so
- 30:36Speaker 5: very crazy. But I was like begging and begging, and
- 30:40Speaker 5: finally they're like, fine, both dogs can come. I was like,
- 30:43Speaker 5: they like be out on the deck most of the time,
- 30:46Speaker 5: like it'd all be good. Don't worry about it. No,
- 30:48Speaker 5: nothing bad's gonna happen.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 30:53Speaker 5: My friend had bought my dog like this big Christmas bones,
- 30:59Speaker 5: and like I normally give my dog's like boysticks and
- 31:01Speaker 5: they eat them all and they're fine. This was like
- 31:04Speaker 5: the ones that you see in the movie, Like you're
- 31:07Speaker 5: just kind of like I would never actually buy it
- 31:10Speaker 5: from my dog, but I was like, that's Christmas, Like
- 31:12Speaker 5: she can have it as a treat. So I thought, great, idea,
- 31:15Speaker 5: I'll put it on the deck while we're having Christmas
- 31:17Speaker 5: dinner and they can, you know, be quiet and have
- 31:20Speaker 5: their bones outside bear in mine. My boyfriend's dog has
- 31:24Speaker 5: a very sensitive stomach. Anytime he eats anything that doesn't
- 31:30Speaker 5: settle with him, Like we'll be woken up in the
- 31:32Speaker 5: middle of the night to him like puking it up.
- 31:34Speaker 5: My dog, on the other hand, like she pretty much
- 31:38Speaker 5: is a tank and just eats anything that comes out.
- 31:41Speaker 5: The other one not so much. We bear in mind
- 31:45Speaker 5: they've had a little bit of turkey, this new bone
- 31:48Speaker 5: probably upsets something. And it was a couple hours later,
- 31:52Speaker 5: We're watching.
- 31:53Speaker 7: Like home videos.
- 31:54Speaker 5: It's all chill, and then suddenly there's this awful smell
- 32:00Speaker 5: and I'm like, oh my god, Like Casey and my
- 32:02Speaker 5: dog are like she must have like CRP dusted us,
- 32:04Speaker 5: like that's a bad one, just thinking nothing of it.
- 32:08Speaker 5: And then it got like so much worse, to the
- 32:10Speaker 5: point where like my sister and her fiance, my parents
- 32:13Speaker 5: are all gagging, they're like running out of the house.
- 32:17Speaker 5: And it was honestly, like one of the worst smells
- 32:19Speaker 5: I've ever smelt my life. I was like I just
- 32:22Speaker 5: took over the house and everyone's like like dry eating.
- 32:25Speaker 2: It was so bad.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Everyone, It's no, it was bad, though, Like I you know,
- 32:32Speaker 5: I'm a farm girl. I'm used to smells, but it
- 32:34Speaker 5: was bad, I will say that. So everyone's like running
- 32:38Speaker 5: out and I kind of like panic, blame my talk.
- 32:43Speaker 8: And I'm like, ranger, what did you do?
- 32:45Speaker 2: Like where's the smell coming from?
- 32:48Speaker 5: We shurned around the corner and there's like a giant
- 32:52Speaker 5: shit that's like splattered up the walls. It was like
- 32:55Speaker 5: going down the stairs.
- 32:57Speaker 8: I was like, oh mom, it was so bad.
- 33:03Speaker 5: Like and it was like silent, like it was just
- 33:05Speaker 5: around the corner where we're watching TV. I was like,
- 33:07Speaker 5: how did none of us see this or hear it?
- 33:09Speaker 5: Like it was a lot. And luckily my boyfriend, who's
- 33:14Speaker 5: such a trooper he deserves, you know, awards, he like
- 33:18Speaker 5: literally just starts cleaning it up like such a like
- 33:21Speaker 5: just owned it. Even if it wasn't his dog. He's like,
- 33:23Speaker 5: I'm going to clean it up, like this isn't my house.
- 33:25Speaker 5: Like he cleans it all up, and my mom.
- 33:30Speaker 7: We still don't know what.
- 33:33Speaker 5: So it was definitely one of my dogs. It wasn't
- 33:35Speaker 5: the family dog, obviously, but like it was one of them,
- 33:38Speaker 5: and I just assumed it was his because you know,
- 33:41Speaker 5: he's the one. And so yeah, my mom's like running
- 33:46Speaker 5: around with for Breeze and my sister and fiance just like, see,
- 33:49Speaker 5: this is why we tell you not to bring up Christ.
- 33:54Speaker 6: Like come on, yeah, I'm like, I it would turn
- 34:01Speaker 6: me off if someone like said you can't, like, we
- 34:04Speaker 6: don't want your dogs here.
- 34:06Speaker 1: To be fair, yeah, she's like this is why.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Yeah, but she didn't like, we don't want them me
- 34:13Speaker 3: because they're going to poo in the house. Like she's
- 34:15Speaker 3: now just saying that to be nasty, Like she just
- 34:18Speaker 3: didn't there because maybe they're like like they're just not
- 34:23Speaker 3: dog people. To then be like this is why.
- 34:27Speaker 5: Sut like, screw you, this is what's coming, Like it's
- 34:30Speaker 5: because you didn't want them here. I don't know. I
- 34:32Speaker 5: thought it was kind of funny. I was like, oh,
- 34:34Speaker 5: how funny karma works that way.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Oh well that is that certainly is a disaster.
- 34:41Speaker 1: That's actually that's a mass, huge disaster.
- 34:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:45Speaker 5: I don't know if they're going to be invited to
- 34:46Speaker 5: this find out for a couple of.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Weeks here, probably not.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Thank you very much. That's hilarious.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Thanks to coming home, of course.
- 35:00Speaker 5: Thank you guys.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Have a good day, bye bye bye. Dude. That's insane.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Have an.
- 35:09Speaker 3: I've Beth said the other day. Remember the day I
- 35:12Speaker 3: brought Halle here. Yeah, so I brought Halle here and
- 35:14Speaker 3: we recorded and she was just like chilling and stuff.
- 35:17Speaker 3: That day, Henry was home alone and he, like for
- 35:20Speaker 3: months and months before Beth and I lived together, he
- 35:22Speaker 3: was home alone every day of like eight hours, you know,
- 35:24Speaker 3: just go out in the morning, go in the RVO.
- 35:26Speaker 3: And he's sweet and he never has like he's got
- 35:28Speaker 3: iron guts. Same thing as like that Callie's girl dog.
- 35:32Speaker 3: One time he ate like a corn on the cob
- 35:34Speaker 3: once and three weeks later he vomited it up three
- 35:38Speaker 3: weeks and it was clean bro three weeks it sat
- 35:41Speaker 3: in there like most dogs have a fucking like stomach
- 35:44Speaker 3: twist and get surgery and ship. It's like Jesus, Henry. Yeah,
- 35:47Speaker 3: but I'm about to leave. I remember, I'm about to
- 35:50Speaker 3: leave here, and Beth calls me and she goes, did
- 35:52Speaker 3: Hallie take a ship before you left this morning? And
- 35:55Speaker 3: I was like, I feel like I probably would have
- 35:57Speaker 3: like known. She goes because there was a huge diree
- 35:59Speaker 3: on the.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Stairs stairs to the front door. Henry had had a
- 36:03Speaker 1: sick tummy, massive diarrhea on the stairs, and she said
- 36:07Speaker 1: she got home from work.
- 36:08Speaker 3: She walks in and just waffed it in her face.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Henry was just chilling in the smell for the day.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Poor god. You know what I love about dogs too,
- 36:19Speaker 1: is obviously they don't care if something like that happens.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:23Speaker 1: When they have like either like diarrhea or I don't know,
- 36:25Speaker 1: an itchy bum or something, they go into that weird
- 36:27Speaker 1: bum walking and scratch their ar.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Yeah, Henry or Jerry stopped?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Yeah, what the fuck are you doing? I do?
- 36:35Speaker 3: I feel Henry's quite particular about the toilet from a
- 36:40Speaker 3: young age, and so he only likes going on the grass.
- 36:44Speaker 3: So for him to have to, he would have held
- 36:46Speaker 3: it in for as long as he possibly could, Like
- 36:49Speaker 3: he must have been literally puckering and just I gotta
- 36:53Speaker 3: do it on the stairs.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Poor god.
- 37:02Speaker 7: Hi, it's Amber.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Hello, welcome to Confession Sessions. How's it going good?
- 37:07Speaker 2: Hell? Are you guys?
- 37:08Speaker 1: We're really good? I know you just said your name,
- 37:10Speaker 1: but I can edit that out if so, would you
- 37:13Speaker 1: like to be anonymous?
- 37:16Speaker 3: Okay?
- 37:16Speaker 1: Amber? Today's prompt is Christmas Disasters. Before we get into
- 37:21Speaker 1: your story, we have a couple of questions. Firstly, where
- 37:24Speaker 1: are you calling from?
- 37:26Speaker 7: I'm from one in Tasmania.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Os May.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Very cool.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Next question is is your Christmas tree up yet?
- 37:35Speaker 7: No?
- 37:36Speaker 6: Oh?
- 37:37Speaker 3: Do you know when it will be out?
- 37:39Speaker 7: On Wednesday?
- 37:41Speaker 3: Okay?
- 37:42Speaker 1: Final question? Do you have any thoughts and feelings about
- 37:45Speaker 1: Jake not putting up a Christmas tree this year?
- 37:48Speaker 2: Oh? That's a bit.
- 37:52Speaker 8: Red flag there.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's it's coming to the point where
- 37:56Speaker 3: I think I'm going to have to put one up.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so.
- 38:01Speaker 1: But you have a story to do with a Christmas disaster.
- 38:04Speaker 1: The floor is yours, so take it away, don't leave
- 38:07Speaker 1: out any details.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a bit of a long one. Yeah.
- 38:14Speaker 7: So I obviously live in Montesson, was shopping for I
- 38:19Speaker 7: got this Reformer for my mum.
- 38:23Speaker 2: I had to drive three hours to Hobart to go
- 38:27Speaker 2: pick it up.
- 38:28Speaker 3: So let's commit.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Yes, yeah it is.
- 38:32Speaker 7: And it's to be fair, like it's not like a great,
- 38:35Speaker 7: like amazing gift for her. I just thought, like we
- 38:38Speaker 7: were talking about it, so like all this effort that
- 38:41Speaker 7: I put in, like she's probably not even gonna lie
- 38:44Speaker 7: to that.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 38:50Speaker 7: Yeah, So I left about three o'clock with one of
- 38:53Speaker 7: my mates and anyway, we get down there and it
- 38:56Speaker 7: just fits in the car. I had to squish my
- 38:59Speaker 7: friend in the front. Anyway, we get dinner and head
- 39:04Speaker 7: back and it's a bit dark or about our inback
- 39:08Speaker 7: from the drive, and out of nowhere, this big kangaroo
- 39:11Speaker 7: comes out the front and we had like no time
- 39:14Speaker 7: to react, so just run over it.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Wait, it was supposed to not react, So you actually
- 39:19Speaker 3: did the right thing.
- 39:21Speaker 7: Yeah, So I'm actually glad I didn't see it because
- 39:23Speaker 7: I probably would have crashed. Yeah, it was just a mass,
- 39:29Speaker 7: so it's pretty low to the ground. Yeah. Anyway, there's
- 39:34Speaker 7: no way to pull over, so kept driving a little bit.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Pulled over.
- 39:39Speaker 7: Could hear smoke and scraping from my under the car? Yeah,
- 39:45Speaker 7: pulled over the front bumpers off. There's like so that's scraping,
- 39:51Speaker 7: and there's suthing underneath scraping. The oil was coming out,
- 39:55Speaker 7: and as I'm falling over, the engine dies. So we're
- 40:00Speaker 7: two hours from home that like like nine thirty at night.
- 40:06Speaker 7: My phone's on what and my friends go on flat
- 40:12Speaker 7: flat also, Yeah, so I had to call my dad
- 40:19Speaker 7: he's two hours away. And then the coach truck as well,
- 40:22Speaker 7: that's also two hours away. And it was like freezing
- 40:27Speaker 7: as well, like like even more in the car, like freezing,
- 40:31Speaker 7: shimmering for two hours. Anyway, the Poe truck yet there
- 40:38Speaker 7: takes it away. We tried to fit the reformer in
- 40:41Speaker 7: Dad's car and it didn't fit.
- 40:43Speaker 2: No, so we had to pick it.
- 40:47Speaker 7: Up from the shop like another day. So that was
- 40:49Speaker 7: that was all right, we'll figure out later.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Wait, but where did you take that? How did you
- 40:53Speaker 3: get the reformer back?
- 40:54Speaker 7: So the reformer is in the car still.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Door car, yeah, yeah, because it.
- 41:01Speaker 7: Doesn't fit in daddy car. Yeah, so we just have
- 41:07Speaker 7: to figure out when you pick it up from the
- 41:09Speaker 7: place on another day. I was like, I don't really
- 41:14Speaker 7: care at this point in freezing when I got home anyway,
- 41:18Speaker 7: So the car is not under my name?
- 41:23Speaker 3: Whose name is it under?
- 41:25Speaker 7: Becoring my mum's car, so then I could sell my car. Yeah,
- 41:30Speaker 7: so my name is not on the insurance. So it's
- 41:34Speaker 7: going to cost four grand.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Way way way way way way way way way. So
- 41:40Speaker 3: because you wait a second, did this recently happened?
- 41:46Speaker 2: Yeah, like two weeks ago.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I thought it just.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Happened like a couple of years ago.
- 41:53Speaker 7: No, no, no, this is.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Happening right now.
- 41:58Speaker 3: So it's going to cost four thousand dollars fixed a
- 42:00Speaker 3: car or because you hadn't got a Reformer thing that
- 42:03Speaker 3: your mum probably isn't even gonna like that much.
- 42:06Speaker 7: Yeah, and it's the Reformer was like four hundred and eighty,
- 42:09Speaker 7: which is pretty like expensive, I guess for like a
- 42:13Speaker 7: Christmas kids. Yeah, so you know, the the insurance costs
- 42:20Speaker 7: way more.
- 42:21Speaker 1: So technically the Reformer set costs four. My question was
- 42:29Speaker 1: going to be because I thought it happened to you
- 42:31Speaker 1: or two ago. Did your mum like the Reformer set?
- 42:33Speaker 1: But we're never going to know, Yeah.
- 42:34Speaker 3: We need an update. We're still going to go get it.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Hopefully it makes it worse, and your mom's like stoked.
- 42:41Speaker 2: It actually keeps getting worse.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Oh it's not done, no what.
- 42:48Speaker 7: Like just little stuff that kept happening, and I'm like, oh,
- 42:51Speaker 7: are you serious? Anyway, I picked up my old car
- 42:57Speaker 7: the next day. My friend dropped me at my mum's house.
- 43:02Speaker 7: Driving that back to town, realized I didn't pay red Joe,
- 43:07Speaker 7: so thank god I didn't get pulled over. Oh yeah, anyway,
- 43:11Speaker 7: same dag and email saying, Mike, my car the when
- 43:15Speaker 7: I just picked up insurance bill is jew just like
- 43:19Speaker 7: six hundred of bush win and then I went to
- 43:24Speaker 7: fill up my car realized I didn't have the keys
- 43:26Speaker 7: to the fuel compartment with jeeps, like they don't come
- 43:31Speaker 7: with a cover to the Yeah, so.
- 43:36Speaker 2: They have keys.
- 43:37Speaker 7: The keys are on the car that I told, Oh
- 43:40Speaker 7: my joy over. So I had to get my mates
- 43:47Speaker 7: take me to the place which is like twenty minutes
- 43:49Speaker 7: from are hourly, but it's like next to the airport
- 43:53Speaker 7: to get that, come back, fee my car up. And
- 43:56Speaker 7: then like through the week, I was trying to figure
- 43:58Speaker 7: out how to get this reform, and like my brother's
- 44:02Speaker 7: car was like the only option, but it was getting fixed,
- 44:07Speaker 7: so he couldn't get it. So we're just leaving it
- 44:10Speaker 7: there pretty much.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 44:13Speaker 7: And then.
- 44:15Speaker 2: It was like Monday.
- 44:16Speaker 7: I came off night shift, hadn't slept, had to pick
- 44:20Speaker 7: up my mate from the airport because she missed a flight.
- 44:23Speaker 7: I get home, Mom calls me saying the cars are
- 44:26Speaker 7: right off. They're taking to the records at two pm.
- 44:29Speaker 2: And it's like twelve twelve o'clock. At this point.
- 44:34Speaker 7: I had to go out there get this reform and
- 44:35Speaker 7: no idea how to get.
- 44:37Speaker 2: It home, just take it out of the car stop anyway.
- 44:45Speaker 7: I called Dad and I'm like, what the fuck do
- 44:47Speaker 7: I do with this? He ends up getting one of
- 44:53Speaker 7: his work truck drivers who just emptied the load, to
- 44:58Speaker 7: meet me there, and we strapped this AMA on the
- 45:00Speaker 7: back of a semi trailer and takes it to his work,
- 45:06Speaker 7: which is thirty minutes from dad's town. And it's still
- 45:09Speaker 7: sitting there. No idea how to get it to my hand.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Oh my god, this is Does your mum know that
- 45:17Speaker 3: this is all because of a reformer?
- 45:19Speaker 7: She knows, it's like a gift. It's hard to not
- 45:23Speaker 7: tell her.
- 45:25Speaker 3: But he needed So the car that got written off
- 45:29Speaker 3: is your mum's vehicle? Right, Yeah, so she's now without
- 45:32Speaker 3: a vehicle.
- 45:34Speaker 2: No, so she bought a new car.
- 45:36Speaker 7: Okay, she had a like I was just driving her
- 45:39Speaker 7: spell on before I could tell mine.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Yeah, is that so good?
- 45:43Speaker 1: Yes, spa that reformer. But Polari said, is like curse
- 45:49Speaker 1: or something.
- 45:49Speaker 3: And I think you need to give up on the reformer.
- 45:51Speaker 3: He said, I'm not gonna lie that. You need to
- 45:53Speaker 3: take the loss.
- 45:54Speaker 1: I think there's a lot of.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Is your mom going to make you pay her back
- 45:57Speaker 3: for the car? Or is she kind of like fuck it?
- 45:59Speaker 3: It was my second want. Don't worry about it.
- 46:03Speaker 7: Well, I'll have to pay for the insurance. I think
- 46:09Speaker 7: that's it. Yeah, I'm not too sure that like sorting
- 46:13Speaker 7: it out the month.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Glass half full. At least you didn't crash.
- 46:18Speaker 3: And hurt yourself, telling myself, at least you're a life.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Can't say the same for the kangaroo. I think we
- 46:27Speaker 3: need to start to go funny for you. Honestly, I
- 46:30Speaker 3: think we need to start to go funny for you
- 46:31Speaker 3: so you can get a fucking like a truck and
- 46:33Speaker 3: so then you can just not have this issue and
- 46:35Speaker 3: take the reform of PLARTI Stae wherever you want to go, like.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Everybody praying and pray. Your mum loves that reform plates thing.
- 46:48Speaker 2: She doesn't like it.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Yeah, rightfully, So she has to act like she loves it.
- 46:53Speaker 3: From what you've been through, she has to act like it.
- 46:56Speaker 7: Wow, Like I don't go to home up very often.
- 46:59Speaker 2: I literally went down there.
- 47:00Speaker 7: For that, like I got a quick you know, like
- 47:03Speaker 7: I didn't like, you know, sometimes I'd just like to
- 47:06Speaker 7: do a day trip.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, no, I just went for that.
- 47:10Speaker 1: This is what you get for doing good things.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I was time to be selfish. Yeah, New Year's
- 47:15Speaker 3: resolution and but be selfish.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got to stop things.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Not well, that's certainly that is a that's I got it.
- 47:27Speaker 3: I think that quite might be the biggest disaster which
- 47:30Speaker 3: had some bad ones today, but I think that is
- 47:32Speaker 3: like very bad. Yeah, thank you very much for telling it.
- 47:38Speaker 3: Though you're welcome, and I'm not going to lie. I
- 47:43Speaker 3: really want an update on this.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Yeah, give us a text your mum's basically I need
- 47:49Speaker 1: an update.
- 47:49Speaker 3: I want to put in my calendar and message you
- 47:52Speaker 3: after Christmas to see what the update is and so
- 47:54Speaker 3: that we can have you back on the podcast.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Yeah. I was definitely film let's go.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Example.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 48:07Speaker 3: That that.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Oh girl, I just like never you know, when you're
- 48:14Speaker 1: getting that like recurring cycle, like bad shit happening. Yeah,
- 48:18Speaker 1: and it's just snowballs one after another, one after another, and.
- 48:21Speaker 3: You're like, what is my life? I've never been to
- 48:24Speaker 3: something like that. I actually have never been to anything
- 48:26Speaker 3: like that.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm comparing it to when you're like, you know,
- 48:30Speaker 1: when you're in the fridge or something you drop like
- 48:33Speaker 1: blueberries and they fall everywhere. Yeah, then you go to
- 48:36Speaker 1: clean it up, and then you like drop the water when.
- 48:38Speaker 3: You and then and then like you get yogured out
- 48:41Speaker 3: and then you spoin it into a bowl and you
- 48:43Speaker 3: drop the spoon and yoga kind of spices everything like that.
- 48:46Speaker 3: It's that on a scale of like universe. Yeah, it's insane.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Ten times hundred times worse. Well, baddies, that was the
- 48:56Speaker 1: first confession session back yep, I think that was a bang.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Was fine, That was good. If you enjoyed it, let
- 49:02Speaker 1: us know. But next confession session prompt if you want
- 49:06Speaker 1: to be called by us, is going to be anything to.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Do with New Years. Whether that be a New Year's
- 49:15Speaker 3: Eve story, a New Year's Day story. You could I
- 49:19Speaker 3: mean to be fair, it could happen halfway through the year. Whatever.
- 49:21Speaker 3: Even resolutions could be the resolutions, resolutions disasters. That could
- 49:28Speaker 3: be cool.
- 49:28Speaker 1: I doubt any positive resolutions is going to come through.
- 49:30Speaker 3: They're never resolutions. I don't know how I feel that.
- 49:35Speaker 3: But okay, anything to do with New Years. There will
- 49:37Speaker 3: be a link in the description to submit your story
- 49:40Speaker 3: and then we will be in contact.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Yes, and we love you.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Stay bad
