- 0:46Good attracts good. Welcome, Welcome to the live
- 0:55stream, welcome to the basement. Today we have a super special
- 0:59guest. We're doing the Dusters Around
- 1:01the World campaign, and today we're joined by the sportist all
- 1:04the way from the Canary Islands. Look, crypto is all about
- 1:09community, and community is made-up of people.
- 1:12But we've got a special story that kind of led up to why the
- 1:15Sportist, who is a Duster, by the way, is joining us today.
- 1:20Everyone knows his brother Ravio from Rastalon TV in The Sportist
- 1:25has continued the mission that Ravio set out.
- 1:28But we're going to go through all that.
- 1:30We're going to have a great discussion.
- 1:32And we're doing that live right now with our friend the Sportist
- 1:35from the Canary Islands. How you doing, Sir?
- 1:37Welcome to the Basement. Welcome to Duster Club.
- 1:41Hey, what's up? What's up?
- 1:43Very happy to be here. Like a bit unexpectedly, like
- 1:48all of my journey in general. But but yeah, thank you for
- 1:52thank you for letting me be here and just on there.
- 1:55Yeah, no, it's a it's a huge deal.
- 1:57And, and you know, like I said, to start out with kind of the,
- 2:01the sequence of events that led to me and you being together
- 2:04right now and all of our viewers right from all around the world
- 2:08are pretty spectacular. Let's let's talk about a guy
- 2:14that I've got a lot of respect for, and that's your brother
- 2:18Ravio. He, you know, was fighting
- 2:20cancer. I'll let you tell the story, but
- 2:23started a token. It's a it's a it's a story, I
- 2:26think of courage and inspiration.
- 2:29So I'm going to give you the stage and to whatever extent
- 2:31you'd like to talk about your brother and what kind of led up
- 2:34to where we are right now and what we are doing like you and I
- 2:39and A lot of other people in crypto trying to do some good.
- 2:43Well, it's a bit difficult to find where exactly to start I
- 2:49guess. But basically we in general, we
- 2:55started, he mostly he started it together funds to support his
- 3:02own medications and our expenses that were piling up because he,
- 3:07as he mentioned also, we were already for a while supported by
- 3:13a lot of other community members from, from the D5 regions like
- 3:18Downson and his friends like Nikki Island and, and other
- 3:22people. And just, you know, you can just
- 3:25ask as much and, and the people also can't help forever, you
- 3:29know, So, and this was a crazy moment when lots of these tokens
- 3:34were launching and, and, and we consulted and said, no, fuck it,
- 3:39no, just we, we have to do something.
- 3:42It was. And yeah, it all happened.
- 3:44And the the first day was actually beautiful.
- 3:47I made a video that about my bro and was happy to see him back
- 3:52gaming, like doing things he likes.
- 3:54And, and literally the next day or even that night, the, the
- 3:58hack happened and that was whole other thing and fucked up.
- 4:05And, and then he got spoofed again the next day and, and we
- 4:10thought we lost it again. So it was just like that, you
- 4:13know, emotionally. And, and then, yeah, after a
- 4:17while it settled a tiny bit. I mean, he, he still had a lot
- 4:21of pressure from, from outside, I think.
- 4:25But but yeah, we, we also managed to start helping other
- 4:29people and, and the, yeah, that's kind of what he started.
- 4:36Then even in the in the in the token description, it's written
- 4:41that he wants to travel around the world, you know, and and
- 4:45help people. And help people.
- 4:46So your brother Ravio and I'm going to pull up his profile
- 4:50here. Hold on, Hold on.
- 4:52I'm screwed up. There we go.
- 4:53Give me one second. Give me one second.
- 4:55Mr. Sportis. I'm going to pull up his.
- 4:59Here he is pull up his profile. For those of you who maybe
- 5:04aren't aware of this story, this was Ravio.
- 5:07This was this is his ex profile page.
- 5:11He was fighting cancer and we get it on the full screen.
- 5:15There we go. So he was fighting cancer and
- 5:19and and doing it valiantly started a coin and to help pay
- 5:23for his expenses, which got a lot of support from, you know,
- 5:26some good people out there. No doubt about it.
- 5:29He was hacked. He continued to fight cancer.
- 5:33He somehow I somebody connected, somebody in the UFD community
- 5:38connected me with him and I had him on as a live stream guest, I
- 5:43think it was back in October. A.
- 5:46While ago. Yeah, it was a while ago and I
- 5:50was immediately struck. And, you know, I, I, I think I'm
- 5:53a pretty good judge of people and I always trust my, my gut
- 5:57feeling or my instincts. And I was immediately struck
- 6:00just even in interacting with him before we went live, like
- 6:04this is a really good guy. This is a real legit guy.
- 6:07Then we did the live stream together and definitely will be
- 6:10one of my most memorable live streams.
- 6:13Because he was going through cancer treatment, He was trying
- 6:15to schedule the live stream around a time where he thought
- 6:18that I think it was the key therapy wouldn't be acting
- 6:21himself. Literally had to go.
- 6:23After he finished interview, we went to the car and went to the
- 6:26hospital. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:27Right. We waited and scheduled it all
- 6:29around and you know, look, people don't want to watch me
- 6:33cry, but it may. I teared up this morning
- 6:35thinking about it again. Like he was a really great guy
- 6:39and he was and he loved you. You're his brother.
- 6:43You know, I just got that feeling from him that and when
- 6:46he talked about you and your mom and kind of what you guys had
- 6:51been through. But there were a couple things
- 6:53that really also touched me about a story.
- 6:55Like you said, he got hacked and it was and I won't even show the
- 6:58video because it I know he didn't.
- 7:02No, I won't no, I know it was horrible.
- 7:04It was a bad situation like you said, but then people out there
- 7:08in the crypto world can't stepped up like they did when it
- 7:11happened to me. People in the crypto world
- 7:13stepped up and and and brought things back for him.
- 7:18But then what your brother did, that was even more and you too,
- 7:20right. I mean, I know you were you're
- 7:22involved in this. I mean, he kind of like maybe
- 7:26back then he was the face of all this.
- 7:28And now I know you've taken the torch, but there was also a big
- 7:32push to help support other people as well.
- 7:36And you know, when when we talk about crypto in general, you
- 7:41know, it's look, crypto, you can say crypto, right?
- 7:44But crypto is really about community and community is about
- 7:49people and people doing good things.
- 7:52And there's so many good people out there.
- 7:53It was just really, you know, to me, your brother still lives,
- 7:58right? His spirit is still here.
- 8:00And, and, and, and I just really appreciate what you guys have
- 8:04done and what you continue to do.
- 8:06And with that, I'll be quiet. I'll let you talk about that or
- 8:09anything else that you want to bring up right now.
- 8:11Sports. Well, yeah, I mean, yeah.
- 8:15After the the thing happened and we lost him, I had a couple of
- 8:21days to like think what I what I want to do, what what to do with
- 8:27the project, what to what to. I suggested and talked with some
- 8:31people that I respected their opinions and and some people
- 8:37told me to launch something new. Some people told me to go away.
- 8:40Some people told me to continue. But in the end, I what made me
- 8:46stay. I read his description again.
- 8:49Yeah. And and I remember it in pump
- 8:52fun with me quote that I think I can quote.
- 9:00My dream is to beat cancer and go all around the world to meet
- 9:03and and help new people. Yeah.
- 9:06And and so, yeah, I want to do at least something similar.
- 9:13And that's what we've been trying to do as well with the
- 9:15project. And yeah, I've been trying to
- 9:18also raise awareness as much as I can over everything, give some
- 9:23information and tips as well on diets and stuff.
- 9:26And I've been trying to help financially as much as I can.
- 9:30But yeah, as I mentioned, not only to people with cancer,
- 9:32people who are just in, in a bad place, but yeah, at the moment
- 9:37that, yeah, I could be doing better with the project, but
- 9:41I'm, I'm sure that if we'll keep doing good things and sooner or
- 9:45later we'll get more eyes on it and it's going to be all good.
- 9:49But yeah, besides that, I, I wanted to actually ask you like
- 9:56a couple of things, but you're, you're, you're kind of much more
- 9:59of an expert than I am at this point.
- 10:02And the first thing I wanted to ask is, well, and we know your
- 10:06story, look of how you got into crypto and stuff, but what's the
- 10:10thing that made you stay like, you know?
- 10:14One thing, there's only one thing sportist that made me stay
- 10:18and that was and that's the people.
- 10:21I guess I could put more broadly say the community, but the
- 10:25community, and I touched on this earlier, is made-up of people.
- 10:29And yeah, it's a great question because like on the second day
- 10:34after I launched UFDI knew nothing about crypto, really
- 10:38nothing about. You have choices.
- 10:40You can continue, you can just cash and go away.
- 10:43You can do whatever you know if you think about.
- 10:46It well, I'm I'm standing outside on my porch.
- 10:48We have a screened in porch and I'm standing out there and I
- 10:52look at my at my phantom wallet, which I had at the time and it
- 10:56said like $1.5 million. And I was like, that was that's
- 11:01like mind blowing money to me. OK, yeah.
- 11:05And I'm and I and I did what you did.
- 11:07I called a couple. I called probably, I don't know,
- 11:107 or 8 different friends. I'm like, what?
- 11:12And I had some people said dump it right, which would be a rug
- 11:17pole, dump it and go lay on a beach for a year.
- 11:20Some. People you know.
- 11:21There was a whole broad range of recommendations, but I knew.
- 11:27But I'll tell you what, I will never forget this moment.
- 11:30I know exactly where I was standing, what the I can still
- 11:34see it as broad as day. I knew in my heart two things.
- 11:38I knew that all those tokens that were out there that that
- 11:42there were people behind them. Number one, there were people.
- 11:47These weren't just tokens and or dollar signs.
- 11:50There were people behind it. And I also knew something very
- 11:54powerful that I thought the, the money, the money, the money
- 11:59matters. That's life changing money to
- 12:01me, no doubt, right? And I'm like anybody.
- 12:04But I also knew that the potential in the community was
- 12:09worth already at that point. And I didn't really even I, I
- 12:13had a very, very minimal understanding of what, what.
- 12:17What's going on? Yeah, what was?
- 12:18But I knew that that that there was something much bigger and
- 12:22much better by going forward with the project.
- 12:26And by the way, the night before or the night that it went crazy,
- 12:31I publicly said that I was not. I sold a little bit when it
- 12:34first took off, I didn't know what was happening.
- 12:36And then I made a vow to people that I wouldn't sell for 10 for
- 12:4010 days. And you know, I'm, I'm a big
- 12:43believer in integrity and honesty.
- 12:45I'm not going to sit here and say that I'm Mr. Perfect.
- 12:48Nobody's Mr. Perfect, but I can control my actions and can
- 12:52control whether I do what I say. And I'd said I wouldn't sell on
- 12:56top of that. So I was like, you know, this
- 12:59seems like in my, in my heart, it feels like this is something
- 13:03I want to do. And then subsequent to that, I
- 13:05made another three month pledge that I wouldn't sell.
- 13:08And I haven't sold any of my UFD since then.
- 13:11I've actually bought UF DS on it and I've done it all
- 13:14transparently. So to, and to get back to your
- 13:17question, absolutely it's, you know, we are in such a unique, I
- 13:23mean, the situation that you and I are in right now, you're in
- 13:26the Canary Islands, right? I'm in a basement in Saint Louis
- 13:30in the United States. You and I are talking, but
- 13:32there's also people all around the world right now who are
- 13:35joining us and who will watch the replay of this, like this
- 13:38ability for us to, to build community, community, this
- 13:42ability of us to build relationships.
- 13:45And on top of that, the, the gift of, of the blockchain and
- 13:49crypto to really build some real tangible value is I think it's a
- 13:55gift. I think it's, I think we're
- 13:56like, we don't, sometimes I forget.
- 13:58I think we all forget like we are on the leading edge of what
- 14:02is happening in the world, right?
- 14:04Now, so yeah. There's a couple There's a
- 14:07couple reasons why why I why I decided.
- 14:11All right, that, that's very interesting.
- 14:14I didn't expect such a full answer, but yeah, very, very I
- 14:18do. You know what?
- 14:20You know what, buddy? You know what's funny?
- 14:22This is your live stream. When you when you want me to be
- 14:25quiet, you just say shut. Up, man, No, no, that was
- 14:29beautiful. Man, that was beautiful.
- 14:30You know, not only and by the way, not not only would Susie
- 14:33upstairs, Susie, the camera's angles different today that
- 14:37everybody knows, would love if you told me to shut up, but she
- 14:41also loves the Saint Louis Blues, whose jersey you're
- 14:44wearing today. So there you go.
- 14:46Yeah. Yes, yes, she has decided to.
- 14:49Yeah, yeah, yeah. They wear something special
- 14:51today. Yeah, she gave you a shout out
- 14:55and she also said shut up anyway.
- 14:58Go ahead buddy. Well, after I was also
- 15:04wondering, you know, there must have been a moment when you have
- 15:07the stopped being a joke for you and and became a responsibility.
- 15:12You know, like, do you have a certain moment when that
- 15:15happened or that was like in a span of time or why?
- 15:19Yeah, You know, it was, it was, it was probably around that time
- 15:23when, like I talked about when I was on the screen porch and I
- 15:26realized right there are people out there who are believing in
- 15:30this, that, that, that, I mean, because look, everybody, I won't
- 15:36go through the whole story, but this was an experiment.
- 15:39You know, I don't like to call the joke because I I knew what I
- 15:42was. I kind of, you know, I knew I
- 15:44knew what I was doing, but but what's cool about UFD is like
- 15:49the, it was really a community takeover from the very, very
- 15:53beginning, right? I mean, it was, you know, I did,
- 15:56it was I, I didn't, it was, it wasn't, it was me taking that
- 16:00action, but the community has made it what it is.
- 16:03And I think when I realized very early on, and, and it's maybe
- 16:09something honestly that I, that I, I think most people out there
- 16:13in the community wouldn't say that it's a downfall of mine,
- 16:16but sometimes I do. I feel like I feel very
- 16:19responsible to the people in the community and to the UFD
- 16:24project. And it's really because, you
- 16:26know, I kind of early on understood how important this
- 16:30was and, and how people were trusting me and, and like, you
- 16:37know, to me, trust is everything.
- 16:40I mean, before I got into crypto, I built and I still have
- 16:44a, what most people would say is a pretty successful gold and
- 16:49silver YouTube channel because I love gold and silver as well.
- 16:53And I built that on trust, right?
- 16:55I to me that's like the most important thing, Like I'm not
- 17:00going to tell people what to do. I've never told anybody you
- 17:03should buy UFD. I've never told people you
- 17:06should buy a stock or gold or silver or anything.
- 17:10But what I, what I have been able to, I think build with
- 17:14people is trust. I'll say this is what I've done,
- 17:17but you know, remember I'm not, I don't have a crystal ball.
- 17:20I'm not perfect. So that that building of trust
- 17:24to me and that relationship and then the relationships that have
- 17:28been built in UFD, that's what's, I mean, that's
- 17:31everything, right? I mean, I'm talking
- 17:32relationships that I have with people.
- 17:35I'm building a relationship with you right now, but I've built
- 17:38relationships with people over the last year within UFD.
- 17:42To me, that's like the most valuable thing in the world.
- 17:46I mean, money matters, right? We all need to eat and pay bills
- 17:49and everything else. But at the end of the day, like
- 17:53community and trust, those are things.
- 17:56And I think what's cool, I mean, it's not cool.
- 17:58It's actually, I think it's a benefit to good people that are
- 18:02in crypto, but there's a lot of mistrust in crypto.
- 18:07You and I, you know, we could and I don't, I don't like to
- 18:09focus on it. I don't even really like to talk
- 18:12about it that much because we all know what goes on out there,
- 18:16you know? And again, I'm not going to sit
- 18:17here and say I've lived a absolute, I'm a perfect person
- 18:21because I'm not nobody is. But I think it's a big
- 18:24advantage. I mean, crypto has so many
- 18:27advantages because of the way the blockchain was set up.
- 18:30But to come in and and again, it wasn't a strategy was just me
- 18:34doing like the next right thing over and over and over.
- 18:40Yeah, that. That that it's a big, it's a big
- 18:42advantage. And I believe the more time goes
- 18:45by, the bigger advantage that it will continue to be that that
- 18:49people have projects where they can trust you, right?
- 18:54And but you got to build that right and.
- 18:57And basically not. Yeah, yeah, I got to build it.
- 18:59I read something once it said trust is accumulated like drop
- 19:04by drop, but it can be lost in like one thing.
- 19:07So anyway, that's that's that's my thought on that.
- 19:10That's very true. That's very true.
- 19:11And, and yeah, I mean, yeah, I guess as you said, the people
- 19:16and, and building that trust over time is I guess the most
- 19:21important thing in projects like this.
- 19:23Like you can't even value that with money.
- 19:26And like you said, the community and all those values.
- 19:28I mean, I encountered that in Web 3 when I first went in in
- 19:33Nifty Island with the with Web 3 gaming.
- 19:35And that was insane as well. Like the support we got from
- 19:39those people as well can in the cancer fight and and after and
- 19:44even until now lots of them like my posts and stuff like that.
- 19:49And then we DM and like turbo dragon, who is who we also do
- 19:54streams together. Also we we were grinding an
- 19:57AirDrop for a year together and lost and won and lots of things
- 20:01happened. But but yeah, like all these
- 20:03relationships and even now in the UFD like I've had already
- 20:07have almost couple of friends are good, good, good, good
- 20:11connections with. For example this around 98 or
- 20:16UFD coral. I already ordered myself UFD
- 20:19hoodie. Yeah, UFD Corral.
- 20:22Yes, yes. UFD Corral, right?
- 20:26I mean, one of our guest community members.
- 20:29Great, great guy. Great.
- 20:31Guest and reached out to me and some others like Nico Needle.
- 20:37I'm sorry, also sent me an NFD of UFD, which was such a lovely
- 20:42present and another person I think around 98 but but yeah,
- 20:46that was so amazing just to feel so welcome as well.
- 20:49And and I've only had a couple of communities in in the whole
- 20:53web 3 from my experience that I managed to feel like this, so
- 20:58and. And and and and and.
- 21:00I'm sorry and I will keep, try to keep my mouth shut, but I
- 21:02want to touch on a couple things.
- 21:05Number one, most people, the exciting thing is that I, I
- 21:09believe most people in the world, you know, are good
- 21:12people. So, you know, it gives projects
- 21:15like yours, projects like UFD, the opportunity like our
- 21:20addressable market, like our available pool of people who can
- 21:24be interested. In practice, most people are
- 21:27good everywhere you go. I think in every country,
- 21:30everywhere on the planet, most people just want the same
- 21:32things, want to have, want to belong, to be part of something.
- 21:37So I think that's exciting. The other thing, because we're
- 21:40not, I'm, I'm, I'm probably doing a bad job of doing this.
- 21:42But again, I want to reiterate that like, you are also a UFD
- 21:47community member, and it's really heartwarming.
- 21:50That's probably like the best thing that I can hear all day is
- 21:53for you to talk about. Yeah, when I came into UFD, when
- 21:55I interacted a little bit, I met some really good people, right?
- 21:59And, and, you know, that's because good attracts good,
- 22:03which is what we say. And you know, I was a little
- 22:06corny sometimes, but. But it is true.
- 22:08It's true. And most people, yeah, I mean
- 22:13you. Know good, I mean good attracts
- 22:15good and I love it right and I think I actually made that one
- 22:18up myself, but it gives us this really cool unique opportunity.
- 22:23You know, it's funny because it hit me at last night I was I
- 22:27don't know I was just like it just came into my mind.
- 22:30It's like is I think about UFD and I was like a tagline and I
- 22:34thought like like UFD like it feels good.
- 22:37I mean you know like we're a meme coin.
- 22:39We've got all this intricate community that all these things
- 22:43going on but at the end of the day it's it feels good to be
- 22:47part of UFD. Sorry, go ahead.
- 22:49Yeah, no, but that's very true. I do.
- 22:52I do feel quite like I can relate and quite quite a bit
- 22:58with what you guys do as well. So and then one more thing and
- 23:03actually two more things I wanted to ask.
- 23:05But the first one was obviously I bet there were people who who
- 23:09were there with you from the start till the beginning, some
- 23:11cool left and stuff like that. But what was what was that that
- 23:15surprised you the most about the people that stayed with you all
- 23:19the way through, like through all the up and downs?
- 23:21What was the thing that. Yeah, that that.
- 23:24Well, because I know first hand, right?
- 23:27I mean, I do a live stream every day for UFD and I'm working on
- 23:31UFD every day. I, I think it, it, it inspired
- 23:36me to know that there's other people out there who are willing
- 23:40to have the discipline and the grit, right?
- 23:43The grit meaning like sometimes you just got you know and and
- 23:47determination to keep working every single day because not all
- 23:53days are. Good.
- 23:54You know, right? No.
- 23:55Right. Yeah.
- 23:56I mean exactly consistency that. Consistency is not easy.
- 24:00Yes, yeah. Yes, the maturity of the people
- 24:04in the community and the quality of the people sportist you you
- 24:09know, I'm I I'm I say it almost every single day that the
- 24:13quality, the overall quality and I that just doesn't mean what
- 24:17professional designations they have or how much money they have
- 24:22it nothing to do with it. I just mean like the quality of
- 24:25the people that are like honest, they have integrity, they're
- 24:29hard working. And, and that's probably again,
- 24:34what, what one of the big reasons why I was, you know, so
- 24:38excited. We continue to be excited about,
- 24:40about, about the project and about crypto in general, because
- 24:44I, you know, I go back, I'll say it again, I promise I won't say
- 24:47it again, but there, there, there are so many really good
- 24:50quality people in the world. I think the the bad people get a
- 24:55lot of the attention right, because they're usually the.
- 24:59Loudest, that's the thing I mean, right, right.
- 25:03Or they're or. They're doing things that that,
- 25:06that, that, that create outrage. So people like, Oh my God, you
- 25:09know, like, let's use an example, a rug pole.
- 25:12And as I still see, I saw one the other the last night or the
- 25:15night before, some guy who keeps doing these rug poles on people.
- 25:19And so they get a lot of attention.
- 25:22But the reality is for each one of those people, there's like
- 25:251000. Just decent, good people that
- 25:28want want to be part of something that's safe and
- 25:30reliable and where they can feel good and have some fun.
- 25:34Hell yeah. Very, very, very relatable.
- 25:37And the last one is a bit they did ever to start feel heavy
- 25:45like doing all of this like, yeah.
- 25:49Yeah. I mean, you're, you're kind of
- 25:51in the same position I am with the project now that you're
- 25:54running the well you. I'm guessing no, in a different
- 25:57position, but yeah, in, in a similar.
- 25:59Similar. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:02You mean did I ever? Start to feel heavy, like oh
- 26:04this is too much like like. Like, yeah, if you think like
- 26:07all this crypto things, Oh my God, that's killing me.
- 26:09Or does it just feel or does it just feel you to do more or or
- 26:15because there's not not only good things happen.
- 26:18Lots of I bet there. Oh yeah, you.
- 26:22Know you know. So yeah, sure, sure.
- 26:24Not that's what I'm. Wondering how do you also handle
- 26:28those days? Well, you know.
- 26:31I I love this concept that anything worth achieving in life
- 26:38is going to take work and and that there's going to be bad
- 26:42days. OK, it's just the reality of
- 26:45life and you know, if you can't have good days, unless you have
- 26:49bad days and you know, the, the idea that you know, and, and
- 26:55this is just the reality. Most people give up on things,
- 26:59right? Most people say, I can't, I
- 27:01don't want to do this. I quit.
- 27:03That, that by, by if it's something that you really
- 27:07believe in, something that you really know is a project or a
- 27:12commitment that's worth keeping that when you hit those points,
- 27:16that's actually a good thing because that's when all your
- 27:19competition quits. That's when everybody else says
- 27:21I'm done, I give up, blah, blah, blah.
- 27:23And, and sure, I've been through that many times and I've been
- 27:28through it throughout my whole life.
- 27:29I'm 55 years old. I can tell you what I've
- 27:31learned, right, is that in what I've observed and just in life
- 27:36in general, is that the people who stick with things that they
- 27:39believe in are the ones that really wind up being successful.
- 27:43And there are going to be hard days.
- 27:46You know, that is true. I mean.
- 27:49It's I, don't I. Don't like to focus on it, you
- 27:52know, but there's going to be times like this that are awesome
- 27:55as well. And there's going to be
- 27:57everything in between. And yeah, you know, sometimes I
- 27:59get, I get a lot of DMS, right? And I get them like, Oh my God,
- 28:03I, you know, the weird things, whatever.
- 28:06And I just try to keep steering my ship in the right direction,
- 28:11right, and doing what I need to do.
- 28:13Focus, yeah. And focus.
- 28:15And and and, and not and realize, I mean, it's just, I
- 28:20mean, I think it's one of the most powerful things to realize
- 28:23in life. And it took me way too long.
- 28:25So maybe I can help some of the younger people out there.
- 28:28But it's like what? Anytime you get into something
- 28:31new, it's fun and it's exciting, OK.
- 28:34And it's like a shiny red ball. It's like a new toy, however you
- 28:37want to say it. And no matter what it is,
- 28:40eventually reality sets in. And I heard this guy, Alex
- 28:43Hormozi, talk about it. Yeah.
- 28:45He calls it the valley of despair, right?
- 28:48This thing that was fun and great.
- 28:50And and I'm not, this applies to so many things in life,
- 28:55relationships, marriages, whatever, right?
- 28:57Then you get to this point where you're like, oh, I didn't
- 29:00realize this about what, you know, you, the reality sets in
- 29:04and what's, what's critical is to be able to move past that
- 29:08and, and get to a point where you're realistic about what
- 29:11you're doing that yes, there's going to be UPS, there's going
- 29:13to be downs, but it's something that I still have as a goal.
- 29:17I want to keep pointing my ship in that direction.
- 29:19And if you stay with it, right, then success comes sooner,
- 29:25sooner. Or later.
- 29:27Yeah, I do agree very, very much as well.
- 29:29Again, yeah. But yeah, it's it's just yeah,
- 29:34you speak a lot of what I do, what I do actually have in my
- 29:37mind. But I just remembered some some
- 29:40things like for example, like, do you also have days like for
- 29:43example, before stream? I sometimes do that to make
- 29:46myself go live. For example, I post on X that I
- 29:49will go live in one hour. Because sometimes you're either
- 29:53scared or something happens and something, you know, something
- 29:56can happen in life and you just, you just want to find an excuse,
- 30:00you know, to do something else or something.
- 30:02And then you bump. And I think those are really
- 30:05also very many of those moments that make your break.
- 30:09I think that when you do want to give up and run away, you think
- 30:12you know what? No, dude, let's let's go.
- 30:15Let's sit down and let's. Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 30:19I. Know, I know I know exactly what
- 30:21you're saying sportist. And again, it's a powerful.
- 30:25I'll tell you a quick story. When I was 5251 years old, OK,
- 30:31I, I got a little job I do at night.
- 30:33And you know, I was at a point in my life where where I felt
- 30:39like I was getting older, but I wanted to do something more, you
- 30:43know, like I knew I wanted to do and I knew I loved YouTube, but
- 30:46I'd never really stuck with YouTube.
- 30:48And Long story short, I made this commitment to myself on my
- 30:5252nd birthday. I'm like, I'm going to make a
- 30:54YouTube video, one video a day and I'm going to learn something
- 30:59new about growing YouTube channels, making good videos,
- 31:03whatever. I make one video a day and I'll
- 31:05learn something every day. And it was, and I was so excited
- 31:09and you know, feeling like this is great.
- 31:11I'm going to do it. I'm going to blah, blah.
- 31:13But I, but I made this commitment that I would do it to
- 31:16my, to myself for one year. And I knew from experience that
- 31:20at some point I was going to want to give up and not do it.
- 31:24Well, Fast forward about 5 weeks into that and I did it.
- 31:28I made a video every day and I learned something new every day
- 31:31for about 5 weeks. And then I came down here 1
- 31:34morning sitting right where I am right now and it wasn't fun
- 31:38anymore. I was feeling down.
- 31:41I was like, and I'm like, what am I doing?
- 31:43Like people are making fun of me because I'm a YouTube and blah
- 31:46blah blah. But I knew in my heart because I
- 31:49knew enough about what was going on in the world that this was
- 31:52really a big opportunity and a great thing.
- 31:54But I, I, I was just down here thinking this is stupid.
- 31:58I should, you know, you're, you're making a fool of
- 32:00yourself. I'll give up, blah, blah.
- 32:02And it dawned on me, I'm like, you knew this was going to
- 32:05happen. You knew you were going to hit
- 32:07that point where you didn't want to press the go live button or
- 32:10hit the record button. And I, and I said, you said you
- 32:14were going to keep doing it. And I did.
- 32:15I made a video that morning. That was before I did live
- 32:18streams. I made a video, I edited it and
- 32:22I got done. And I thought, well, this is
- 32:23going to be a really poor performing video because I'm
- 32:28just not, you know, motivated. And I was down, OK.
- 32:31And I put the video out and it did really great.
- 32:34And it, it taught me a lesson like, you know what?
- 32:37Sometimes our minds can can sabotage us.
- 32:41And you need the you. Know we can be our.
- 32:44Own worst enemies and and then and I just kept going and I had
- 32:49other periods like that. I know exactly what you're
- 32:51saying, right? Some mornings I'm down here, I'm
- 32:53like, Oh, I got, you know, that's part of life.
- 32:57And, and, and it and, and what for me, what overcomes it it
- 33:01with UFD and the UFD live streams is I know that that
- 33:05there's this incredible community of people out there
- 33:09and I know that they're they're working hard every day and that
- 33:12I can show up every day. I do.
- 33:16I do. I do.
- 33:17Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:18I mean, if they can, why wouldn't you as well?
- 33:20Right. Right.
- 33:21Yeah, Exactly. Yeah.
- 33:23Yeah. That that was very inspiring and
- 33:26beautiful, actually. Well, you know I can sit.
- 33:29Down here and lie, I always preach honesty and say, no, I'm
- 33:33excited. I'm, I'm and I am excited every
- 33:35day. And then, you know, but there's,
- 33:37there's, there's, you know, there's reality as well.
- 33:39And I'm not going to lie to you or to the other people out
- 33:42there. You know, everybody knows we all
- 33:45are kind of experiencing life, I think, and in a lot of very
- 33:48similar ways. And which makes it important for
- 33:52us to be honest with each other. And and that's, and that's how
- 33:56we build, you know, if, if you're, if, if, if, if you're,
- 34:00I'll be quick as I say this. But if, if you're asking me that
- 34:03question and you because you know what it's like to go live,
- 34:06you know what it feels like sometimes it's scary, right?
- 34:09Literally, yeah. Yeah, and I and I.
- 34:12Say to you, wow, well, no, I just did.
- 34:14For me, it's fun every day. I just but you know, and it is
- 34:17fun every day. It is right but but it but if
- 34:20I'm not on then you're going to think, well, there's something
- 34:21wrong with me. Well, there's nothing.
- 34:24I mean nothing. There's nothing wrong with you.
- 34:26Sportis. Cheers.
- 34:28Cheers. Cheers, Ben.
- 34:30That was very nice. I mean, yeah, I honestly just in
- 34:35general just just very happy we managed to to, yeah, have this
- 34:39chat and didn't expect in general, not from UFD, not not
- 34:44even from me actually a bit as well.
- 34:46Like, I mean, I never expected that what I'm doing also will be
- 34:50able to affect so many people. If you think about it, I've had
- 34:54an interview with an actual lady who's fighting cancer here.
- 34:57And we also gave some advice and stuff like, like I did.
- 35:01I didn't expect that anything of that's going to happen.
- 35:04But. But slowly I understood that.
- 35:09Yeah, I just, I understood my way.
- 35:11Literally when I started doing this, I understood what I have
- 35:15to do with my life more or less. You know, I kind of have this
- 35:19almost a revelation. Let's say I, you know, when
- 35:22you're 33 years old, then you still want to, you're still
- 35:26thinking what you want to be when you grow up, you know,
- 35:28something like that. And then you find it.
- 35:32I mean, I knew I knew I was, I was an all right guy and that I
- 35:38knew that I can somehow find a way to maybe somehow help
- 35:42someone someday. But but this all happened and I
- 35:46have this opportunity to as well help people and I'll do my best
- 35:51to to to keep things in their their favor as well, you know?
- 35:56Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, and if you.
- 35:59And if you keep showing up right and you keep being willing to
- 36:03learn, I think that's important as well, not just for crypto
- 36:08projects, but just in life in general.
- 36:10And I was having this discussion with a guy from the UFD
- 36:14community last night. Exit the matrix.
- 36:16I get very passionate when I talk about it.
- 36:18Like we there, there's no excuses for any of us right now
- 36:23because you know, we, we are living in a period of time where
- 36:27you can learn anything you want. You want to learn how to be a
- 36:31plumber. You want to learn how to be a
- 36:33plumber. Well, go watch, you know, start
- 36:36watching YouTube videos about how to be a plumber.
- 36:38You want to learn how to do anything almost right.
- 36:41It's like the opportunity. We're, we're really gifted with
- 36:45this unbelief 'cause he was talking to me about these AI
- 36:48courses that are available from Stanford University to learn
- 36:51about AI. And I'm like, it's so wild.
- 36:54I mean, 30 years ago you couldn't do that, right?
- 36:58I mean, there just wasn't this opportunity.
- 37:00So we've got this opportunity to learn and to connect.
- 37:04And Web 3 is really more about, I think the connection, right?
- 37:08As I know a lot about Web 2 and and YouTube and that like social
- 37:12media platforms, I think. But I'll tell you what, in Web
- 37:16three, what we are doing right right now, me and you and all
- 37:20the viewers, we got 155 people joining us from like we are, we
- 37:24are like, I think I, I would imagine that most of the viewers
- 37:27out there feel like they know you better now, know me better
- 37:31now, even though they may not be directly interacting with us.
- 37:34And it's, it's just a really cool fortunate time.
- 37:39Sorry that we're living in that, that I think smart people are
- 37:44willing to take advantage of. Yeah.
- 37:47And, and, and you should definitely to to use this time
- 37:51as much as you can. And, and as you said, people
- 37:55watching stream get to know you a little bit.
- 37:57That's what that that's why I wore the Saint Louis shirt.
- 37:59I watched your streams, you know, so in a way, I also got to
- 38:05know you a little bit better. And I'm glad I did and I'm glad
- 38:08I still do. And I almost made it as a
- 38:11tradition to watch you have these streams now.
- 38:13So I will continue doing that. And and just glad to hang out in
- 38:18the check as well, as much as time lets me as well.
- 38:21But but yeah, it's just awesome to to be a part of this stuff
- 38:25and and you know what I want? To say thank you to our sponsor,
- 38:28my sponsors, Ron's basement sponsor, because I'm not here
- 38:31without them. So thank you to Ledger, right,
- 38:33Ledger's, the cryptocurrency security leader they're signer
- 38:37devices. Ledger Wallet are now allowing
- 38:40people to do everything within the Ledger environment and also
- 38:44of course, Moon Pay because sportist, I'm not here without
- 38:47moon pay. It was literally my very first
- 38:49crypto transaction and they are the fintech leader, growing,
- 38:53innovating, adding much value to the overall crypto world.
- 38:58I want to show before we go. You have 5 more minutes for me.
- 39:02Sure. Yeah, I want to show.
- 39:05Oh, First off, here's your brother again Rastelon TV.
- 39:10But I also want to show your make sure I got the right one
- 39:14here. Hold on here it is.
- 39:16All right, share this tab. The viewer should be seen now,
- 39:22the sportist, right? Can they see that on the screen?
- 39:24Right? My other.
- 39:25Monitor's not. Working right, Yeah, yeah, you
- 39:28can see. My profile yes, yes OK, so this.
- 39:30Is the sportist who's joining us this morning and he goes by the
- 39:35handle at G Vito 15, where you can learn about him, follow him.
- 39:41And there's the token, right dollar sign cancer would be they
- 39:44want to if people want to want to check that out.
- 39:47Yeah, there's the official. Website restaurant.tv where you
- 39:51can also check out that we're fully transparent as well about
- 39:54our donations and who we help and stuff like that.
- 39:58And a lot of information as well is on on the website.
- 40:01So you can check that out for more things.
- 40:04I think there's also interview with you on there.
- 40:07OK. So yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, if
- 40:10you're so. There's the website, there's
- 40:12Ravio, our friend, and oh, that is awesome, Transparent Ledger,
- 40:18love that. Yep, yes, thank you, Susie
- 40:23upstairs, Susie chimed in. OK, so here's the here's the
- 40:26website, rastalon.tv, correct? That's cool.
- 40:31That is awesome. Yep.
- 40:32And Susie mentioned on the front of UFD news and I, I want to be
- 40:39careful how I announce this, but but apparently now, which is a
- 40:43big deal, Coinbase, the big exchange, centralized exchange
- 40:48here in the USA, lot of the UFD community is able to now
- 40:52purchase and I guess the the crypto community at large is
- 40:56able to actually purchase UFD tokens on Coinbase, which is a
- 41:00big, big deal, honestly. And we're trying to figure out
- 41:04some people can do it. Some, yeah, some people can't.
- 41:07I'm one of those who can't. But a lot of people, it's not
- 41:12showing up. And there's, I think the general
- 41:14consensus because at this point is that maybe as the servers
- 41:17update, I don't know, we're going to keep just that crypto.
- 41:20Apps in general are usually not the best ones.
- 41:22Yeah. So it's.
- 41:23It's in the profit, but but definitely and it's big exciting
- 41:27news, yeah, that that people are are are are able to purchase
- 41:33Unicorn fart dust on Coinbase, which can open us up because a
- 41:37lot of people and I'm sure you've experienced experienced
- 41:40this as well. You know, some people that are
- 41:43new to crypto. I think Coinbase and the big
- 41:45centralized exchanges offer a good, you know, like an easier,
- 41:49a good bridge, a good. Bridge.
- 41:50Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:53Yeah, as opposed. I know a lot of people.
- 41:55Who have Coinbase but don't have a phantom or method as well for
- 41:58example. Exactly.
- 41:59Yep. Yep, exactly.
- 42:00So that's exciting news, Sportis.
- 42:03Is there anything I forgot to ask you or?
- 42:06No, just in general was very happy to chat with you man.
- 42:09I I didn't expect that we will even have this chat to be fair.
- 42:14So yeah, thank you for having me and thank you for everything you
- 42:18guys do and you in particular and all the community.
- 42:21So just glad to be here. Hello and thank.
- 42:24You OK? Who you hold on a second
- 42:28upstairs. Susie's talking.
- 42:29Did you want to say hello and thank you?
- 42:31Yeah, I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming on to the
- 42:36live stream today and I look forward to seeing you on yours.
- 42:40And I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
- 42:44Thank. You thank you.
- 42:45That was lovely. Thank you and and and to you as
- 42:48well. Lovely to meet you as well.
- 42:50I tell, I tell you what. Man, I say I'm not here without
- 42:54moon pay, which is true, but I'm definitely not here without
- 43:00Susie. Yeah.
- 43:01She's. She's, I saw.
- 43:04Somewhere in the chat that she's the real CEO.
- 43:09Oh yeah, she. Yeah, she's a wonderful,
- 43:12wonderful wife, friend and overall I, I say this behind her
- 43:18back all the time to people I really believe like like one of
- 43:22the one of the most super good hearted, nice people on the
- 43:25planet. So anyhow, thank you upstairs,
- 43:28Susie, we love you. Thank you, Sportist for coming
