So seizième, dix-septième, dix-huitième, dix-neuvième, vingtième. Luna: Oh, starting with seizième. That's like seize plus ième, right? Lucas: Exactly! Seizième. For example, le seizième siècle — the sixteenth century. Luna: Le seizième siècle. That sounds elegant. Lucas: It does. Now after that comes dix-septième. Notice we add a hyphen: dix-septième. Luna: Dix-septième. So for the seventeenth floor, you'd say le dix-septième étage? Lucas: Exactly right! Le dix-septième étage. Luna: Nice! And then dix-huitième is eighteenth, right? Like my eighteenth birthday — mon dix-huitième anniversaire. Lucas: Yes, mon dix-huitième anniversaire. Perfect example. Luna: Dix-neuvième is next — nineteenth. That one looks a bit tricky. Lucas: It's dix-neuvième. Say it with me: dix-neuvième. Luna: Dix-neuvième. Like the nineteenth century — le dix-neuvième siècle. Lucas: Exactly. And finally vingtième — twentieth. Luna: Vingtième. That sounds like a big milestone. Le vingtième siècle, the twentieth century. Lucas: Yes. Now let's practice all five in order. Repeat after me: seizième. Luna: Seizième. Lucas: Dix-septième. Luna: Dix-septième. Lucas: Dix-huitième. Luna: Dix-huitième. Lucas: Dix-neuvième. Luna: Dix-neuvième. Lucas: Vingtième. Luna: Vingtième. Lucas: Great job! Now let's imagine an apartment building. I live on the sixteenth floor — j'habite au seizième étage. Luna: J'habite au seizième étage. And my friend lives on the eighteenth — elle habite au dix-huitième étage. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's talk about birthdays. My twentieth birthday is next week — mon vingtième anniversaire est la semaine prochaine. Luna: Mon vingtième anniversaire est la semaine prochaine.
