- 0:18Hello, and welcome to Gateleapers, the pop culture panel game show that shines
- 0:23a spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your games master and female scientist who
- 0:29would absolutely move to an island research commune as Stevenson. But of course we
- 0:36can't play this game without our team captains, a pair of immortal beings locked
- 0:40in an infinite spiritual battle. Hell yeah, first, he's our de facto
- 0:47leader who has to get back to the island. I mean, has to
- 0:50get back to the games master's chair. It's Matt Watson. Hello, and
- 0:55he thought this was an early revisit of the Survivor fandom. It's not.
- 1:02Jason went Hi, Hello, Captains. Are you ready for a series of
- 1:06games about folks stranded on a magical science island where the only way out is
- 1:11further down the rabbit hole? Oh yeah, oh yeah, the white rabbit
- 1:14Hole? Big time, big time. I'm so ready. I mean,
- 1:19this joke is going to be had, so, I mean, the show's
- 1:22title is an apt description of how I'm gonna feel nice, and I was
- 1:26going to make that joke. Rodre kindly sent me a text message, who
- 1:29was like, oh, this is a recap of the entire show in case
- 1:30you want to do some research so you're not fucking clueless. And I was
- 1:34like, ah, bet, still clueless, still lost. Still what's going
- 1:38on? So many names? Yeah, so many events. Yeah. So
- 1:44that sums up how you're feeling as far as knowledge, Matt, how's your
- 1:49lost knowledge? I've got to admit my lost knowledge is probably pretty good because
- 1:53at age thirteen, it pretty much was my entire identity. I got into
- 1:59this show and was like, Oh my goodness, there's so much to study,
- 2:02There's so much to discover. I gave a class presentation on it around
- 2:07that time. In the seasons good I got an a wow and I had
- 2:13a you know, the the Charlie from It's Always Sunny meme with like the
- 2:16connecting threads and the Pepe Sylvia thing. I had that, but with all
- 2:21the characters on my bedroom wall, like to connect all the different theories and
- 2:25sort of stories together. And it was around about that time that the adults
- 2:29in my life started asking, oh, are you on the spectrum? Yeah?
- 2:34What spectrum of lost fans? You must believe I'm right up there on
- 2:37the spectrum of lost fans. I'm going to say showed up early for you.
- 2:40Oh my god, So it looks like Jason, you may have a
- 2:44little too little knowledge and Matt might have a little too much. Too much,
- 2:47too much both is going to get in your way. So so we're
- 2:51going to be on the same team. No, that's not the format.
- 2:57I'm going to pair you up with partners. You know, they're part of
- 3:00the plane just got lost on the other side of the island. They've made
- 3:02their way back to us three year Yes, I know this got incredible lost
- 3:10super fan Jason. Who is your teammate. He's a podcaster and producer.
- 3:16It's Dane Miller of the award winning Fuck Buddies and No Quest for the Wicked
- 3:21podcasts. Hello, I'm hello. I originally brought this butt little bottle of
- 3:27fireball for like if I missed questions that I should have gotten. But we
- 3:31might have had a few technical issues that I'm just gonna have a yes,
- 3:39Yes, nobody should drink that much fireball. Once. I worked at a
- 3:45tea shop for a while, and I'm going to be real, when I
- 3:47worked on holidays, it would just be fireball in like a chai cup.
- 3:53It just like cream spicy. It was just nonsense. Fireball is for the
- 3:58difficult times. That's why I'm ring Yes. So Dane, what is your
- 4:03level of lost love? I think I'm probably a lot. We were talking
- 4:10about a bit before we started recording, and I think, like I I
- 4:14truly mean it when I say that lost has left a lore sized hole in
- 4:17my heart. Like I've been chasing the lost high pretty much since the ending.
- 4:25So I'm I'm pretty I'm pretty deep in in the lost sauce. And
- 4:30I love that internal internal rhyme. So you host Fuck Buddies Dating Sex advice
- 4:36podcast. What is the healthiest relationship you feel all lost? Good question?
- 4:42Oh, oh no, it's it's Rose and Bernard for sure. Yeah,
- 4:48that's easy. Honestly, I had completely forgotten about them. They were so
- 4:53unproblematic. Yeah they were. Rose was just like yeah, no, he's
- 4:58fine. And then he's like, hey, we're gonna we're gonna live on
- 5:00this island forever if it means you're healthy. Yeah, like yeah great,
- 5:03yeah, like right, or die on the island. Yeah, didn't never
- 5:08die, Never die on the island. Yeah incredible. So Matt, who
- 5:13is going to be joining you, who's going to be balancing you out a
- 5:15little bit? Well? He is a podcast a voice actor who is now
- 5:19scared of black smoke for two reasons. It's the co host of the Carrying
- 5:24Wayward podcast and Gatelepas cast member. It's Dree s Shelman. Oh my god,
- 5:28I just got bitten by a spider and Doug I was all out of
- 5:30a hole because they ever thought I was dead? Why? Why that's the
- 5:33appetite? She's a reference. I don't know. Yeah, I'm gonna say
- 5:35everything. You're gonna reference Paolo really so like there's a good like I know.
- 5:43The next question, I don't remember anyone's name is E for Hurley?
- 5:46Yeah, that's better than me. I used to call Hurley Chumley years of
- 5:53my life wrong, big lovable guy show. Also to counter Day, just
- 5:59to start the rivalry. Now, the healthiest relationship on that show was Hurley
- 6:02in the Dog Oh yeah, good, fine, good fine, Vincent,
- 6:06Vincent, Do I get a point for saying that? Oh? I was
- 6:13gonna say, like in the fact that dog made until the end, that's
- 6:15a whole other bucket of worms. What's the dog actor's name? Chumley Audrey?
- 6:21If you even just know that for the Okay, moving on, is
- 6:26it genuinely Melissa. It's an M name. It was like it was a
- 6:29female dog with an M name Mackenzie or Melissa. I cannot remember. Oh
- 6:32my god, why is this in my mind? But yeah, so,
- 6:39yeah, I watched this show basically I'll get into it later, but I
- 6:42watched the show like really quickly via LimeWire that's how old this is? Oh
- 6:47yes, good, and caught up in time for the final season to watch
- 6:53it live. Nice. So I watched most of these while working at a
- 6:57summer job at a summer camp, where I would come home from summer camp
- 7:00and be like, I have no plans tonight, I'll just put on Lost,
- 7:03and then eventually I'd hear birds outside and be like, I have to
- 7:05work tomorrow morning. I'm gonna go to bed. Yeah it's that kind of
- 7:09show. Yeah, Like I think I watched how many I mean again,
- 7:13showing my level of knowledge, how many seasons is it? Six? Six?
- 7:16So I watched five seasons of that show in maybe two weeks. Oh
- 7:20wow, that's only only overnight. I wish teenage me wishes he could have
- 7:27done that. Gosh, I think I have a problem when it comes to
- 7:31staying up and watching shows. But that's that's another episode of something else.
- 7:35Yeah, I'm gonna say it, y'all are all of this fuck? You
- 7:42didn acquire your TV through DVD bucks. I always wanted to learn how to
- 7:49burn CDs. It was never cool enough to fucking learn how. I was
- 7:53too young. That's how I got my cool cred in elementary schools. Yeah,
- 7:57I know, I know. I didn't like illegal parts of it.
- 8:03Oh so you went young, you were just lame. Oh big Metallica fan,
- 8:11he won't get that joke. I don't. This is bullshit. Okay,
- 8:20teams, we've all boarded onto Oceanic Flight eight one five and nothing can
- 8:24go wrong. I'd like each pair to come up with a Lost themed team
- 8:30name. Please. Let's start with Jason. Yeah, I got one,
- 8:35and it is only round down good, good dame. Because this is not
- 8:39gonna make sense to you or drew only to the people in this I have
- 8:43Team Man Bear Pig. The story behind that that has nothing to do with
- 8:46Lost zero thing is piographics. Yes, it is a very long time ago
- 8:52before me and Matt and Audra ever published or broadcasted a podcast. Our very
- 8:58first podcast idea was to do a Lost podcast. So they made me watch
- 9:03made is a four lead you were enjoying the friends. They stuck a microphone
- 9:09in my face and then watched me as I watched episodes. Uh, and
- 9:13I made it to like, I don't know, like five fucking episodes.
- 9:16But there was one episode very early on where there's a bunch of pigs and
- 9:20for some reason, I'm like, that's a man bear pig. I know
- 9:24it is, I know it is. And I wrote that it was every
- 9:26time the smoke monster or every time the was like it's ye, it was
- 9:33making pig noises. I was like, yeah, the bulls do you make
- 9:35pig noise? It's true. It's been like five years, it's yeah,
- 9:41many podcasts since then, yeah, yeah, but that's that's my idea,
- 9:45Dane. So, okay, here here are mine. Yes, uh not
- 9:48pennies boys. Okay, it's good. I didn't know who that is that
- 9:54popped Cowboys with Daddy Issues. And I say that this this is a fucking
- 10:01deep cut. If you get this reference, I love you. But it's
- 10:05my favorite episode title name and the episode is called All the Best Cowboys Have
- 10:09Daddy Issues. Yes, and I believe that's I believe that's the episode where
- 10:16you find out what Sawyer does. It's like one of Sawyer's first like featured
- 10:20episodes or Jack's episode. I can't remember, but it's one of those two.
- 10:24Everybody's Got Daddy Issues, Yeah, that's pretty much lost to the titles,
- 10:28just like Dad Issues, The Lockouts and the Constants. I watch it
- 10:41during during Christmas because it's a Christmas episode. I like the Lockouts because I
- 10:45think John Locke is a weird guy. He's a nerd okay as far as
- 10:50I know, and spoilers, he's the evil guy. He's a bad guy.
- 10:56I know. My favorite, my favorite song off the soundtrack is called
- 10:58locked Out Again. So I am. I'm down. I'm down to be
- 11:03the Lockouts, the Lockout. He knows the names of songs on the soundtrack,
- 11:09Matt' not because they got He's got me man like, like I don't
- 11:13know. Penny only has one boy as far as I know, and that's
- 11:18Desmond because the video said that's true love. We're we're not Pennies boys.
- 11:24Uh yeah here the Lockouts. Yes, So Matt drew team names. What
- 11:33are you thinking? How what's the vibe? Being the one who doesn't know
- 11:37as much? The only things I was I was trying to toy with the
- 11:39like a pun with like drugs in the like Mary statues, and I was
- 11:46like, religion is my drug. But that's a really weirdly long name.
- 11:50I like it. Otherwise, I was trying to mix Polar Bears and the
- 11:52Smoke Monster and be like Smoky the Bears and then last one just to ruin
- 12:00your podcast searchability because you use the team names for titles, and I thought
- 12:03it'd be funny. Is we just do random string of hieroglyphics? Sure,
- 12:09I'm not against that. Terrible for se oh but a great joke. But
- 12:13great there, and just literally I just I don't know how you refer to
- 12:16what I's just be like bear guy doing this snake cloud folded cloth? Where
- 12:26your cat's name came from? Yeah? Egyptian? Please don't dox our cats?
- 12:30Yeah? Could that be your team? Please don't dox the cat.
- 12:35No. I just love that if there were more cats than Lost. There
- 12:39should be more cats and Lost. It's the only thing that's wrong with that.
- 12:41What are lacking? Now? For you who knows things? Title?
- 12:43Please? Yeah? I got a few. I got a few. I
- 12:46was just playing with like rhyme things, so I've got the Lama initiative,
- 12:48just because it's like it's the funniest rhyme word for the initiatives there. To
- 12:52combine it with your podcast Supernatural, Drew, I've got smoke Monster of the
- 12:56Week that is good and one that I quite like that describes us, but
- 13:01is also a reference to a commercial that Charlie films. You ow every body's
- 13:07ooh, it's like a reference to his song. But also we're buddies.
- 13:15I like that if we want to send a message to our team, we
- 13:18can say we can be called four eight fifteen, sixteen, twenty three and
- 13:20fuck you. That is an extreme and I think we may have to do
- 13:28that, and then we've We've just got the classic previously on Lost, like
- 13:33that American guy sing in the start there. Yes, but I'm guessing by
- 13:37reaction we should do some some with the numbers. I like the number ones
- 13:41a lot. That's really funny. So our team name me the Quickfire Round
- 13:43is just fuck you yeah yes, or just or just one of the numbers
- 13:48yeah yeaheah, whichever one feels right. I like how that sounds like that
- 13:52team name sounds like a chant you would say right before you hut at hike.
- 13:56Yeah, I'm such a football game. I know, I don't eighteen
- 14:03twenty three. Fuck you, I just cussed yourself. I'm sorry, just
- 14:07guss yourself. Oh those numbers. Sorry, but I will win the lotto.
- 14:11Yeah you will, Yeah you will. I know that. See,
- 14:13you know. Thanks. I don't know that. We're all right, We're
- 14:16gonna be okay. It's still a thing. Whenever I see one of those
- 14:20numbers out in public, I like look for the other ones just to be
- 14:24safe. Absolutely, especially in airports for some reason, like the soccer jerseys
- 14:28in the airport was always the one that got to me. We can go
- 14:31into those numbers. I there is something that pisses me off, but I'm
- 14:33not gonna say anything in case it's a question, but I will talk about
- 14:37it at the end. Has driven me absolutely fucking insane since the numbers were
- 14:41introduced. Interest So you hear to hear folks say to the end of the
- 14:45episode, do you hear my game hates a random numbers numbers? Yes,
- 14:50if you're listening to this and thinking when it comes to lost, I have
- 14:54no idea where I am geographically speaking, nice, Do not worry. Here
- 15:01is Matt with a little segment we like to call passing knowledge. Yeah,
- 15:05that's right, I'm doing the passing knowledge. Okay, here we go.
- 15:07Lost is a mystery slash sci fi slash drama, slash adventure slash tourism commercial
- 15:13for Hawaii TV series that ran from two thousand and four to twenty ten.
- 15:16It was created by jj Abrams, Carlton QS, and Damon Lindelof, And
- 15:20thankfully jj Abrams kind of left after the first season, so we didn't get
- 15:24six disconnected stories that don't make sense as one cohesive piece. That's a that's
- 15:30a modern Star Wars running in parstrikes back nineteen seventy seven, right, So
- 15:35Star Wars just came out and pretty soon George Lucas is going to be looking
- 15:39for a sequel. That's for you, Jason. The series follows the survivors
- 15:43of Oceanic Flight eight one five, which crash lands on a hidden island somewhere
- 15:46in the South Pacific, and considering they were heading to La a picturesque tropical
- 15:52island is a massive improvement. That wasn't a very stroke. Actually, well
- 15:56it's not a very strong drink. The two ess to name survivors must contend
- 16:02with the mysterious forces the island has to offer, as well as their own
- 16:04interpersonal problems and interwoven backstories, which are handily offered to us in the form
- 16:10of flashbacks, then flash forwards, and then flash sideways. Is you can
- 16:15see why people said this show was a little confusing, Now what a friggin
- 16:19ecsorts? Lost was known for its cult following being somewhat in the mainstream,
- 16:25and helped bring fandom into the twenty first century with the use of forums to
- 16:29discuss theories, sharing content on early forms of social media, and bonus webisodes,
- 16:33along with augmented reality games for fans to play along with. That's right.
- 16:37By two thousand and six, they achieved what failed to emerge in twenty
- 16:41twenty one. Rip to the metaverse Pull one out for zer. Your instinct
- 16:47is right, Chack. These people are a threat. The core themes of
- 16:52Lost are fate, love, spirituality, good versus evil, scientific hubris,
- 16:56mythology, motherhood, magic, no daddy issues, which has already been mentioned,
- 17:03You all and everybody, so there's something for everyone there. To this
- 17:08day, many viewers still think Lost ended with the reveal that it was all
- 17:12entirely a dream. In purgatory. Yeah, after it annoys me too,
- 17:18after they all died in the initial two thousand and four plane crash. And
- 17:22if you still think that, well I don't have time to correct you in
- 17:26this segment because the music bed is ending. But no that I'm absolutely furious.
- 17:30So let's down some Dharma Initiative beers and get lost in the source of
- 17:36lost. We've already made that lost in the sauce joke, but it's okay,
- 17:38it was pre written. Incredible. Yeah, I feel like the ending
- 17:44conversation will happen, Dane, don't worry. I'm with you on this one.
- 17:47Well, the amount of fights I've gotten into bars over people be like
- 17:52the ending sucked and then I bottle a stranger. I need to watch the
- 17:56Secret DVD extra special only available disc bonus episode content with Hurley and what's his
- 18:03name? Don't you get the truth? And all you need to do is
- 18:06listen to Christian Shepherd, who literally explains the plot of the fucking show in
- 18:10the episode. Okay, Jason, even before we were into this, he
- 18:17he mentioned he's like people didn't like that ending question mark, And I explained
- 18:22to the thing of like people think that, like, oh, that means
- 18:25they were dead the whole time. And he's like, but I by YouTube
- 18:30video, so watch the YouTube, watch the YouTube's videos. I guess.
- 18:36But even in the summary, it was like, no, this is pretty
- 18:38clear what happened. It's very clear. Literally a character named Christian Shepherd.
- 18:44Yeah, that brings your home literally his name, come on extra ending it
- 18:51fails in some of the gaps pretty nicely. That ends, yes, yeah,
- 18:55you mean his entire left exposition, the entire thing, and clear of
- 18:59all the mistakes. We need cover polar bears and the bug just answers questions
- 19:07that can say Helly's name. It's fine early bird because everyone knows come the
- 19:14Chumley Bud as you would come. Who is you know the bird and the
- 19:18word it goes. Anyways, So before we get into today's games, I've
- 19:25asked each player to bring in a muse, something that inspires them, something
- 19:30they love from this particular fandom. Lost is inspiring to me because I too
- 19:36cannot seem to tell a story in a continual linear narrative. It's very inspiring.
- 19:44Jason. We'll start with you. Yeah, man, again, I've
- 19:47watched like five episodes of this and there's two things that stuck out to me
- 19:52while I watch This Man Bear Peg and the Mystery of it All. That's
- 19:56that's the metaphor. Yeh, and too, Daniel Day can young great,
- 20:00I've read the summary. Boy does he go through it all? Him and
- 20:06his wife? Yeah, So did you say young or young? Because I
- 20:07think they both apply here young like Andy like like he's not he's not a
- 20:14daddy yet he was. He was a young Daniel Dakim d DK as I
- 20:18call him man. That boy's that boy's cheekbones could cut glass, homie.
- 20:23And how he got out of so many of those like near death experience through
- 20:29the side of a ship. No, but it's it's it's very good because
- 20:32like Daniel Day Kim, he's he's gonna come up here soon back into the
- 20:37popular Zeke says uh as the bad guy, yeah Ozai in Avatar Last Airbunder
- 20:42and like for the Asian American community, he is the it guy because he
- 20:48has such a long history within Hollywood as a leading Asian American man. And
- 20:52to see that Lost is one of the shows where I didn't realize. I
- 20:56thought he was one of the characters that got killed off because he had some
- 20:57other projects to do, but he's in it, in it or the entirety
- 21:03of this series pretty much to the end. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 21:06And and cute story that I learned about Lost outside of you guys is he
- 21:11is a Korean American and his wife in show is Korean, and so they
- 21:18taught each other. She taught him bits of Korean and he taught her bits
- 21:22of English. I think that's adorable. How they did not fall in love.
- 21:27It will forever be a mystery. It's just another mystery. And the
- 21:30other thing is like he he speaks like Korean, Like he doesn't speak English
- 21:34until like the last two episodes. So it's like the fact that you just
- 21:38had like an Asian character, like two Asian characters that were Asian and just
- 21:44allowed to be Asian, was like he didn't really have Like they were subtitled
- 21:49for four seasons of television, and that's fucking cool. Yeah. So I'm
- 21:56MYNDDK right there. So I fight any team on. Yes, I will
- 22:03talk a lot about all the fights that I do about lots. This is
- 22:07a violence Face podcast. A lot of people make a big deal about Simue
- 22:11Lu, which good Canadian boy. I'm all for it. But Daniel da
- 22:17cam like anytime anyone like they talk, I'm like, are we just forgetting
- 22:19about this guy? Like he's a fucking legend and he's so good forgetting out
- 22:25history and it's recent history. Yeah, respect your elders dog if you Yeah,
- 22:33so Dane, how about you? What is your muse or loss?
- 22:37I love the fact that I in my personal opinion, I'm sure there are
- 22:44people who could probably correct me on this, but I feel like this is
- 22:45what brought cinematic storytelling to network TV. You are correct, right, like
- 22:51you you didn't have this level of financial investment. Like the pilot when it
- 22:56was made was the most was the most expensive pilot ever made, at least
- 23:03for again network TV. It's like the only way you could get quality television
- 23:07like this or television of this caliber was on things like AMC and HBO and
- 23:11like stuff like that. And it's like to have a show come out and
- 23:14be like it's not behind a paywall and this is just like an incredible ensemble
- 23:18cast. It's where Michael Cientcino got his start as like a composer or it's
- 23:22like that's where like you know, his name sort of like sort of exploded.
- 23:29And so you have this incredible soundtrack. You have this like movie worthy
- 23:32soundtrack, you have this incredible cast, you have this incredible narrative shot beautifully.
- 23:37There's a little bit of aged CGI, but for the most part,
- 23:40like a lot of the practical evacts, like the fuselage on the beach was
- 23:45all practical, right like, and that's something that would be done on a
- 23:48green screen nowadays. So like the fact that it was so much shot on
- 23:52location, like they did a lot of stuff, like even just in Sydney,
- 23:55and like all the extra stuff that they shot. It's a show that,
- 23:57in my opinion, revolutionized what network TV could be and we owe a
- 24:02lot of great TV to it. Yeah, that's that's a great that's I
- 24:06know I'm not the one supposed to be saying it this episode, but that's
- 24:08a great muse. It is an incredible mus the impact of Lost on TV
- 24:15and honestly film. Yeah, Drew, how about you? What's inspiring you?
- 24:22So my muse, I'm going to put someone on blast because I'm going
- 24:23to send them this episode when it comes out, and if they don't respond,
- 24:26I'll know they didn't listen. So finley, I'm putting you on blast.
- 24:29I feel like my mus Finley is one of my very old friends,
- 24:33very good friends, and he got me into the show by basically just any
- 24:37time we'd go downtown together and have to like take the metro and like be
- 24:40like on public transit, I would just ask, like, what's happening on
- 24:44Lost? Like I feel like I should watch this show, and he would
- 24:45just regale me with like the last several months of episode since last time.
- 24:49We like got to chat about it, and like it was just like the
- 24:53wildest journey of like, what the fuck are you talking about? What do
- 24:57you mean there's a timetrame traveling dead guy on the beach from a boat that
- 25:02showed up and go back in time. Explained he's in a wheelchair now I
- 25:07have. I was so confused, so baffled. And then it was finally
- 25:11this that led to me binge watching the show as I mentioned, and watched
- 25:15this over the like five seasons over the course of like two to maybe two
- 25:18and a half weeks while working at a summer job. And then also for
- 25:22his sake, I ended up watching the show's finale live at his aunt's house,
- 25:26who, while watching this, never seen an episode, tried to have
- 25:30me explain the entire show, So it made for like I really feel like
- 25:36I need to rewatch the finale because I have not rewatched the show, let
- 25:40alone the finale since that day, and I feel like it was weirdly ruined
- 25:42for me. So the show always kind of feels like not completed in my
- 25:48heart, which I think a lot of fans have complained about. So my
- 25:52muses, my buddy Finley, who convinced me to watch the show finally and
- 25:55has led to this moment now, incredible popul listener, is this Finley's on?
- 26:03I expected off a ditch Man finale. No, we had a car
- 26:08incident a while ago, or those edition in vaults. I'll talk about cut
- 26:14an off air story. Okay, okay, cut back. You have to
- 26:18cut up, but just quick, Matt, Yes, how about you?
- 26:26What about your muse. I don't know that it will be quick because I
- 26:30don't get to be in this position very often. So I've got three muses,
- 26:34the muses for you, all three seasons of holding it in exactly,
- 26:40I've got rules as intended for the muse in terms of what it always ends
- 26:44up being. And that's a fun anecdote from last we're seeing how the sausage
- 26:47is made with the podcast. Yeah, Drew, you mentioned watching all of
- 26:51it in two two and a half weeks unintentionally, Well, myself and my
- 26:55good friend Graham, who's been on this podcast shouts out, shout Graham,
- 26:57We're shouting out all the friends. Yeah, Graham us Also, Yeah,
- 27:00we intentionally, after the whole series had finished, were like, let's do
- 27:06something called Lost Fest, which I obviously branded, and we watched all of
- 27:10Lost in a week because we had a week between your one and two of
- 27:15university where we were like, what are we gonna do with this week?
- 27:18Let's watch all of Lost. Hundreds of better things to do with your time,
- 27:22almost not a single thing. It almost made me dislike the show because
- 27:30it amounted to needing to watch it for like seventeen hours out of every twenty
- 27:33four and so it was like not much sleep, and that's all we were
- 27:38doing with our time. And Graham, I, if you are listening,
- 27:42I hope I've paid you back with some good memories that weren't time wasting over
- 27:47the last decade. But it's all been in aid of trying to give you
- 27:51that life, that week of your life back. I hate burpies so much,
- 27:56but if I was watching TV for seventy hours. You bet your ass
- 28:00I'd be doing some burbies get some kind of blood. Yeah, we were
- 28:04eating crisps and smoking weed. It was university. That's the same thing.
- 28:11That's the same thing. Rules is written in terms of inspiring you, I've
- 28:15got amuse as well. Even though he's kind of like a bit of a
- 28:18dickhead character, Hurley's dad says something that has stuck with me throughout my entire
- 28:23life and that I sort of like live by in a lot of ways.
- 28:27He tells herly that you make your own luck, because Hurley feels incredibly unlucky
- 28:33in lots of situations, and as someone who doesn't really believe in the concept
- 28:36of luck, I like I've used it as a driving force like get me
- 28:38to do things, and like, yeah, no one's gonna do anything for
- 28:41you. You kind of have to go out and make your own luck.
- 28:44It's why I'm in America today. It's it's why this podcasts. Like there's
- 28:48there's a bunch of things like take you, it wasn't it wasn't you.
- 28:52It's just like it's a general like life inspiring thing that that's something from Lost
- 29:00Even though he says it right before he abandons his child. Yeah, which
- 29:04is also played by Cheech Marin is yes, is it not? Yeah?
- 29:10Yes, yes God. And then my third and final muse, is this
- 29:17blanket? Oh? That's right, uldra crochet? Is it blanket? Oh?
- 29:25That is amazing, That's so fucking cool. It's any jen any crochet
- 29:32people who know what they're talking about. This is before I knew that there
- 29:34were rules to tapestry crochet. No one's critiquing it. Cool even I will
- 29:41add them to the list of people I'll fight over lost If that fucking I'll
- 29:47fight them. By the end of this episode, we're gonna have a laundry
- 29:49list of people Day wants to fight. Just show up at this bar this
- 29:53time. Remind him why you're fighting a man? Get the gin the gin
- 30:00pre crash version of me, Well, just keep the shit out of them.
- 30:03Hell yeah, those my pieces. I'm inspired as hell. Let's do
- 30:07this. Yes, yes, yes, that was a great anecdote. I'm
- 30:11inspired and I'm in awe you did it. So now that we are fully
- 30:15inspired, let's hop on a flight from Sydney to LA and crash into round
- 30:19one. Round one is our classic game of deliberation and deception. This time
- 30:32it's called four eight fifteen, one hundred and six two million. I do
- 30:41that. I will give a lost themed category containing five items. Your job
- 30:47is to identify three real ones without selecting the two options I've made up.
- 30:52If you select a fake, you will be frozen out of the list and
- 30:56you won't get any more points. So be mindful of the order that you
- 31:00submit your correct answers. There will be one point awarded for every correct answer,
- 31:07a bonus point if you get them all. Are we ready? Heck
- 31:15yes. First round for both teams will be Dharma stations. Darma Stations are
- 31:21the mysterious Science Org labs sprinkled around previously occupied by the Science Organization on the
- 31:30island. Can you identify them? Yes, let's start. I can name
- 31:34three of them right now. I know a bunch, but there's a bunch
- 31:40I also don't know. Let's start with the lockouts. Your five. I
- 31:45will repeat them as many times as you need. The lamp post, the
- 31:49staff, the torch, the swan, the stone. So it's just me
- 31:56I get I don't know both of you. Sorry, sorry, sorry,
- 31:59outpost. It's my first time hosting is Narnia I know that that's a lot.
- 32:09I think it's torch and stone. I'm like ninety percent sure it's torch
- 32:13and stone. Okay, okay, what's the staff? At the same time,
- 32:17so you are telling me the correct ones? The ones are real?
- 32:22Yeah, so it was it was the staff, which is the that was
- 32:25the medical one because that's the like name. I don't remember the name of
- 32:30the thing that but the medical symbol with the snakes. Oh yeah, that's
- 32:37that's that one. The swan, so or do we want to he was
- 32:43saying the wrong ones? Okay, So the staff is one, the swan
- 32:45is one. You're saying, dang. The swan I believe is the main
- 32:47one that they find the hatch with the numbers. I believe it's a swan.
- 32:52Okay, And then you think the stone is one as well. Stone
- 32:55is definitely not one stone. I'm sure it is not one. Uh,
- 33:00the torch one, I remember there is a fire one, but I don't
- 33:04think it was called the torch. Okay, what is the order in which
- 33:07you would like to let's do Let's do so staff because because Day's super sure
- 33:13on staff, cool staff and swan for sure two points. Yeah. Then
- 33:19at that point I knew I knew those one too. Yeah, I know
- 33:22these the lamp one I think will be our next one. Okay, that's
- 33:29correct. You get the bonus point as well. All three plus I was
- 33:34sure was Torch. I so remember, I was thinking, it's there's a
- 33:37fire one, but it's not Torch. I remember it. It's either like
- 33:40the the blaze, the something that ember, something douche just in case it
- 33:45comes up in all this, you know, just in case paper here.
- 33:52I didn't crochet the names onto the blanket, and so they were all.
- 33:55I stared at that fucking blurry jpeg of that blast door for so long,
- 34:00all like, I remember the symbols, but I don't remember the names.
- 34:05It's the moment I knew I was hooked as I paused it, and I
- 34:07was in it. Oh No. I had a buddy who, like towards
- 34:10the end of the series, he had like planned to get a Darma tattoo,
- 34:14and he was like debating which of the symbols to do. So I
- 34:15had, like I had them all in like a wallpaper on my computer for
- 34:19a few years. Yeah, I've always wanted to get a Dharma tattoo,
- 34:22but because I don't want to be accused of cultural appropriation because the soma is
- 34:25very much a I believe Hindu thing. So I was like, if I'm
- 34:31gonna get something, i'll get something a little more abstract. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:37yeah, that's fair. Four. And I wanted to get the Hindu
- 34:38simple for pace as well, but that was a big no go. It
- 34:43was gonna make the same joke, Matt, don't worry on the same thing.
- 34:45Lots of problematic things. Ah okay, Well, of the three in
- 34:50my head that I knew, two have been used up. So I'm gonna
- 34:52be really useful to goshcha. Let's let's get to it. Let's get it.
- 34:57Four eight fifteen, sixteen twenty three. FU you your Dharma stations?
- 35:04The looking glass, the rabbit hole, the arrow, the tempest, the
- 35:13snake. How are you feeling that? I'm feeling moderately. I'm feeling very
- 35:17confident. On the looking glass, I feel like we can go ahead because
- 35:21yeah, that's the looking glass. I'm almost one hundred per Charlie swims in.
- 35:24It's the one on, it's the underwater one. Is the is the
- 35:27looking glass? Yeah, that's the one. What was the second one?
- 35:30Again? Oudre the rabbit hole? I'm also like, ninety sure that's a
- 35:36fake one. Yeah, yeah, it doesn't like the whole show is a
- 35:38rabbit hole. So yeah. And then for some reason, Tempest really sticks
- 35:43out to me as one that sounds familiar. Yeah, there was the the
- 35:46power station. I think it's the tempest. I think there was is where
- 35:51the others got their power for I guess the Dharma initiative as well. So
- 35:54we can we say the looking glass like that inter is that one in?
- 35:58Now? Yep? One the tempest as well? Should we Let's lock in
- 36:02tempest? Yeah, tempest is also correct. Nice, Hey, give me
- 36:07the last three one more time, the last three rabbit hole, the arrow,
- 36:10the snake. Ooh, arrow, arrow sings to me a little more.
- 36:16Yeah, I think so snake seems too much like hydro, which is
- 36:21another one. Mm hmm. So, and I feel like the arrow,
- 36:24like I remember them finding a bunker that like was somewhat more military base,
- 36:30like it was a little more like either it had or like could contain weaponry.
- 36:34Yeah, and it was the arrow with kind of like an archer motif.
- 36:37Let's let's go with the arrow. Let's go with the arrow. Correct?
- 36:40Was the monus point four points yes, Wow, look at us,
- 36:45we know a dommer initiative. Guys, incredible, Dan and I about taking
- 36:49swigs from are weirdly orange cans? Nice? Yeah, they should be a
- 36:52plain white label with the black DOMA logo over them. Yeah. Yeah,
- 36:58they'd be a fun gimmick for future games. It's just like fake labels for
- 37:00all of our drinks before we all get on the show. Don't tempt us,
- 37:04Yeah, because we love we love more effort. So but it's like
- 37:08that thing where it's like a perfect bunt to like low effort, but like
- 37:10a fun gimmick for those people watching. Anyways, I'm distracting from the show.
- 37:15We love it. Question two survivors is the category? Oh okay,
- 37:22we know a lot of the main guys, but there are a lot of
- 37:24people on that plane. Who do we know? Who do we know?
- 37:29Let's find out the lockouts? Your list of survivors James Ford, Richard Sharp,
- 37:38Neil gas Man, Juliette Burke. These are from the Lost Apedia as
- 37:45the listed pedia names. Dane's just like I wrote, I know James Ford
- 37:52is Sawyer's real name. That's a trick. Question. Oh there's a Juliette
- 38:00I know that Juliet Burke is the maternity doctor. I believe. I don't
- 38:07know her last name is Burke, but Juliette is definitely in it. I
- 38:09think it is Burke, the third one I don't like. I'm not sure.
- 38:15I kind of want to say, like gas Man or something weird and
- 38:17likes as like a nickname that either Sawyer or Hugo, like Hurley calls someone
- 38:23Richard. I think she's trying to get us again, because that's uh,
- 38:27Richard is the the immortal time guy. So I think now does that count
- 38:31as a survivor. No, his name is Richard Alpert in mind. So
- 38:35let's let's let's uh yeah, one by one. Yeah, James third Ford
- 38:39Sawyer James Ford for sure. Yeah, you got the point. All right,
- 38:45what about our girl? I think I think we've got to go.
- 38:49Juliet Burke. I don't know if that's her real last name, but I'm
- 38:52gonna say, yes, let's do it. You are locked out? Is
- 38:57her name? She was not on the plane. Oh oh, very trims.
- 39:02Okay, I was going to ask that questions for land. This could
- 39:06be a fault on my my hosting. I could have clarified survivors being the
- 39:12survivor's plane crash. I do you think the faction of people from eight one
- 39:17five as like the survivors if? Yeah, I can't even. I was
- 39:22going to try to get you on a technicality of being like because it Darminificent
- 39:24went through a bunch of shit, but she was brought in fairly late to
- 39:29the game. I don't think she really survived much of anything outside of the
- 39:34fact that she was rescued. No, she wasn't. Never mind, I
- 39:38recall her. She does know the police of death. So okay. I
- 39:47was worried these were going to be too easy. No, yeah, you
- 39:51got You got them on the technicality. That's how games mastering works, you
- 39:55out of curiosity. Gas Man. Gas Man is real. I knew it.
- 40:00And Neil is the Froger guy. Yeah, my name is Neil.
- 40:07Uh. He shouts at oh my god, yes, yeah, because oh
- 40:12yeah, calls him Frogut because he works at a Frogut stand Froger, and
- 40:15he's like, my name's Neil. Remember when Froger was like a normal thing
- 40:17you'd hear in conversation, And now I can't get a frozen yog. Yeah.
- 40:22Yeah, it's very off its time, it's very two thousands, just
- 40:24like lost. Yeah, so for eight fifteen, sixteen, twenty three,
- 40:30fuck you You're five. Sexy blue striped shirt girl. Okay, Lacy Caine,
- 40:39Edward Mars, Rose Nadler, Desmond Hume, damn Okay, Okay.
- 40:47I know the name Desmond Hume, which makes me feel like it's another trick
- 40:51one because I think he's someone who's like one of the others, not a
- 40:54survivor. Yep, he's already in the hatch when they arrive. He's the
- 40:58Scottish guy in the hatch, right, So that's our trick one that we've
- 41:04managed to not fall. Four. This is actually really hard. So what
- 41:12was the name Natalie something? Rose Nadler. I'm confident on that being Rose's
- 41:16surname. Yeah. I know that one too for some reason. So you
- 41:21want to walk down. I think we can go with Rose Nadler locking it
- 41:23in. It is correct, Okay, okay, so we're at least we're
- 41:27at least breaking even on the score of this round if we get this now.
- 41:30Okay, yeah, do you have any inkling on the other three?
- 41:32Could I hear them again? Apart from Rose and Desmond? Gotcha? Sexy
- 41:37blue striped shirt girl Lacy Caine, Edward Mars. Oh, I know what
- 41:45I don't. I don't know between the final two. But Edward Mars is
- 41:50the air marshall who has Kate, who dies right near the beginning, who
- 41:54has Kate in handcuffs because she's the prisoner on the flight spoilers for episode two.
- 42:01So given that he doesn't make it past episode two to see qualify as
- 42:06a survivor, technically would have been on the flight manifest and therefore, if
- 42:10he's not classified as a survivor by Audra, I'll throw a little tantrum.
- 42:16Hey, if it doesn't count and you're right with the name is getting added
- 42:21to the list of people, I'll fight. No, it is a good
- 42:29thing. Edward Mars is a correct answer. He is technically alive on the
- 42:36island. He is almost dead and then dies quickly, but he technically is
- 42:42alive after the crash. Correct. So we're leve with Lacy or Blue Shirt.
- 42:46I think, just for the sake of how crazy it is, we
- 42:50have to do blue Shirt. I think I have no idea. If I
- 42:53think I was gaming the game, I would say it's like easier to come
- 42:55up with a name than it is like a nickname for this. Yeah,
- 43:00like it seems way too out of like I got a meta gaming here.
- 43:01It's way too out of lot field. Yeah, but we're gonna go with
- 43:05can you repeat it again? Sex sexy blue striped shirt girl her? Yep,
- 43:13you are correct. She has an interview with lost Apedia because apparently on
- 43:17the forums she was a fucking thing. Because I mean she was attractive and
- 43:27she had a blue striped shirt on. And that's enough for you to have
- 43:30an interview enough to get you You get the point and the bonus point.
- 43:36Damn, damn the bonus the lockouts. Your question is about Easter eggs Slash.
- 43:46You know, like little tidbits. There's intentional and unintentional things within the
- 43:52show. They're not really plot relevant. An example of this would be the
- 43:57numbers show up everywhere. These types of things connect together in like a fun
- 44:01way of like, ooh, that's a reference to something else. Your lists
- 44:05are Easter egg Slash coincidences which occur or don't. That's the point of the
- 44:09game. Your five instances, three of these are in the show. Two
- 44:14of them are not A funeral home with an anagram of flash forward, a
- 44:21Dharma logo on a shark. The hieroglyphs on the countdown clock are the name
- 44:27of the Egyptian god of travelers and time, a Dharma logo visible on the
- 44:31wreckage of the Oceanic Flight, and a polar bear escape on television in a
- 44:37flashback. I am shocked that I know all three of these. I don't
- 44:40know all three of them. But the flash forward funeral Home, that was
- 44:44like the big thing. That was like their hint in that episode that it
- 44:47was a flash forward and not a flashback, because it was the finale of
- 44:52season three or four where it ends with Jack being like, you have to
- 44:55go back? Is the is the funeral home? I can I hundred percent
- 45:00on that one. I'll give it to hell. Yeah, that's the point.
- 45:02I feel like the shark might be the thing because that was one of
- 45:07the animals they tested on. It was polar bears, bunny sharks, and
- 45:12something else. I don't want to lock that in yet. I'm just throwing
- 45:16things. The Dharma logo on the wreckage of the plane doesn't make any sense
- 45:21because the wreckage was put there by Charles Widmore, who wasn't part of the
- 45:23Dharma initiative, so it wouldn't make any sense for him to put a logo
- 45:28on the plane in the water. He made a fake plane so that people
- 45:31would stop looking for it, so that people wouldn't find the island. What
- 45:36were the other ones that The hieroglyphs on the countdown clock are a reference to
- 45:42an Egyptian god of time travelers, and there's a polar bear escape on television
- 45:47in a flashback. I think that might be the other one, because,
- 45:53like pretty much any of the Harley episodes, he's watching fucking TV. I
- 45:58feel like they would they would that in and I remember the the fucking that
- 46:04clock thing was a big deal because it was in one of the season finales,
- 46:07I believe, and I feel like I would remember people being like,
- 46:10oh, that's it. I also do not think they had come up with
- 46:15the time travel idea at that point in time of writing the show. So
- 46:20my my inklings are the polar bear attack or are the polar bear and the
- 46:24Dharmis shark? What do you think? Yeah, man, the five episodes
- 46:31you saw, you didn't catch all these. I think we do the shark
- 46:37because I know that for sure that was one of the animals they tested on,
- 46:39all right, And then we do the polar bear attack. Yeah,
- 46:43yeah, I like that idea. I like that idea. Hell yes,
- 46:45the shark is correct. Another point. I'm happy. I'm happy to go
- 46:50with the polar bear one next, honestly because there'd be a lot of polar
- 46:52bear escapes I used to live. That'd be a lot. There's a lot
- 46:58of them. Yeah, it's out on the local news every night. Yeah,
- 47:00man, and you you gotta shoot them. Like it takes place in
- 47:02La Like I feel like, oh, the La Zoo. Like they always
- 47:06put weird shit like that in the in the like the TV background stuff,
- 47:09so I feel like that would be a hint. Yeah, it's incorrect.
- 47:14I'm so sorry if someone watches it and can show it to me. It's
- 47:16why I put it in because there's a lot of TV on in the background.
- 47:21I was sure that was the last one too. Yeah. Those are
- 47:22my Those are my three guesses day and I was with you one hundred percent,
- 47:25and it was this was kind of it. The Dharma logo on the
- 47:30in the pilot, it is like it looks like it's painted over, but
- 47:35you can see a Darma logo on the plane. I'm gonna dispute this one
- 47:38and say that maybe they either deserve a point or we maybe forgo our bonus
- 47:45for our round of this. But this is something that goes back to the
- 47:46I can't believe this is still on the Wikipedia page. But they got rid
- 47:50of this. They said that this wasn't intentional. Yeah, that's why I
- 47:52said, it was just coincidence. Yeah. The plane that they painted to
- 47:57give it the ocean, the fake oceanic colors, a few marks on it
- 48:00that looked like the edge of a DAMA logo. But they said, oh,
- 48:04that wasn't intentional, that was just the design that was there. Oh
- 48:07you meant the one on the beach. Uh huh. I thought you meant
- 48:10the one in the water. Either way, I am. I'm happy to
- 48:15concede. I I will also concede. I will give a point for that.
- 48:21Bro. We got someone who will fix the wikipeda. We got a
- 48:22Brendan Lee and Mulligan over here. It's just it's not it's not it's not
- 48:30an it's not a real it's an easter egg that like some hardcore fans who
- 48:34are like really looking for like too far into things say, but the producers
- 48:37confirmed it's not a thing. Yeah, I'm with you on that way if
- 48:39the producers have cut out and like disproven like an easter egg as like,
- 48:44no, that's just a weird coincidence because of a weird yeah yeah sources.
- 48:51I thank you for you're letting your wiki slide. I know, I'm sorry.
- 48:54Will provide an additional point. I will take a point away from me.
- 49:00I had no points, negative one points, the most the most ultra
- 49:07thing in the world. I'm sorry. Polder finishes a minus one. So
- 49:14let's fucking find out for four eight, fifteen, sixteen, twenty three.
- 49:17Fuck you, let's see if these are real. I'm getting the vine.
- 49:22Matt's gonna be good at this. This is my ship. This is the
- 49:27thing that all the connections on the walls were all about. This kind of
- 49:29stuff. There is a crossword puzzle with clues to the show. The comic
- 49:34book Walt Finds in the Crash has a time travel plot line. Aaron,
- 49:39the name of Claire's baby, means unlikely one. There's a funeral van with
- 49:45a business named anagram of reincarnation, and a rope bridge is visible that looks
- 49:52like a backgammon board, and then it's alternating dark and lightwood. Oh my
- 49:55goodness, that's insane. All of the confidence I had about a minute ago
- 50:01gone. I am not confident on any of these. Apart from Walt's comic.
- 50:07I think Walt's comic did have time. Yeah, the Waltz comic,
- 50:10I remember that being a thing too, with time travel. I remember that
- 50:14being relevant. So I'm okay loking that one. Yeah, let's let's lock
- 50:16it in and hope we get the point that I thought I might trick you
- 50:20with that. It also has polar bears. That's the thing that I saw
- 50:23a lot more. But it is also like a run that is related to
- 50:29a time travel based plot line. So hell yeah, point, okay,
- 50:32okay, if we're if we're gonna be like really pedantic about this one.
- 50:37I really remember there being a lot of shit about like imagery of black and
- 50:43white board games, like throughout a lot of weird things. So a bridge
- 50:46with a backgammon motif does not seem out of left field. I agree.
- 50:51And the other one that I like is the anagram on the truck. But
- 50:54given that we had the funeral home anagram, it seems unlikely we had two
- 50:58of them, and I feel like if that were one, you would have
- 51:00known. Yeah, that one didn't seem familiar to me, so that feels
- 51:01like one I'm sort of safe ruling out because yeah, it's too similar to
- 51:07the flash forward thing. Mm hmm, what you what were the last two?
- 51:12Then a crossword puzzle with clues to the rest of the show, and
- 51:17then Aaron, the name of Claire's baby, means unlikely. Weirdly, I
- 51:22have insight on that one because my Hebrew name is close to Aaron and it
- 51:25means nothing like that. Okay, So like again, that's a very far
- 51:30lead from like Hebrew name to like English names and meanings, but I don't
- 51:36it seems too far left field the crossword Listen, when I google Jason,
- 51:40it means the Argonauts. So I think, should we go with the backgammon
- 51:47bridge on? Because there's a lot of references to backgammon, Like it's the
- 51:51get the game that like Locke plays that. There's even like the Man in
- 51:53Black and Jacob play like an ancient and even older version of Backgammon, I
- 51:58think, And it's it's like like versus Dark is like a constant thing.
- 52:01I could see that being. I don't remember it being a reference, but
- 52:04I could see it being a thing. So maybe that one. Yeah,
- 52:07let's lock that one in. I think let's let go with that one.
- 52:09I'm so sorry. It's a normal bridge. That's good. That was a
- 52:15good fake one. I'm gonna fight every bridge I can find. Answer the
- 52:21list bridge bridge my fucking bar is getting a shin bottle to it. And
- 52:29you didn't understand the end of what we're so what were the other two?
- 52:32Then? Yeah, I don't know. There is a funeral van. Wow.
- 52:37Funeral Van rewords to reincarnation, which is weird because that's not really a
- 52:42thing in the show. Yeah, increation seems like vaguely unrelated. That's why
- 52:46I was also like, yeah, it's possession if if we're getting specific,
- 52:51he possesses the body of John Locke. Yeah, and then a crossword puzzle.
- 52:54Jack is doing a crossword puzzle that has I was trepidacious on that one.
- 53:00It's kind of tenuous, but I did see it in multiple places.
- 53:02It's reference, that's fair enough, and that's I mean, if he's doing
- 53:06a crossword and like if you were to pause and read the crossword and get
- 53:07a bunch of hates that that yeah, it's really That's why it was my
- 53:10third ones. They made a lot of sense. I don't know if this
- 53:14is related to what you were thinking the meaning for Aaron was. I think
- 53:17it's like strength is what I looked it up. I had to look it
- 53:21up to make sure it wasn't actually anything related to that. Just in case,
- 53:25make sure your fake answer is actually fake. I know that the Hebrew,
- 53:30the Hebrew name it's it's Aaron essentially in Hebrew, and it means he
- 53:36who speaks. I don't know why I got that name. It really doesn't
- 53:37connect me anything. A weird thing to name me. But do you listen
- 53:45to Drew's podcasts high handful voice acting work? Unrelated? But yes, last
- 53:53question for this round, I'm calling it others slash dharma. So this is
- 53:57anyone They're not survivors. They're either arm others or their dharma since they occupy
- 54:04the same It was a takeover. Yeah, lockouts your list. Carl Martin,
- 54:10Thomas Osborne, Jordan Waters, Ethan Rohm, Goodwin stand hope okay,
- 54:19Ethan Rahm for hope. Sorry, No, I was gonna say I put
- 54:21them in difficulty order. I hope as far as the questions now. Ethan
- 54:27Rahm for sure. He was the guy who infiltrated the camp and stole Claire's
- 54:30baby. He was the one that not on the manifest and that was like
- 54:34the one that hangs Charlie and the fucking jungle Goodwin I believe is the one
- 54:39in the tail section who does the same thing that Anna Lucia kills, but
- 54:44I'm not one hundred percent sure. And then Carl, I don't know his
- 54:49last name, but that was Alex's boyfriend who Ben was brainwashing so he wouldn't
- 54:54get Alex pregnant so that she wouldn't die. So I don't know if Carl's
- 54:59last name is the right last name, but I know there was a Carl.
- 55:02Could you tell me is it spelled with a K or a C?
- 55:07It is spelled with a K. Okay, I'm more confident that Carl is
- 55:12also so Ethan Rahm. I'm locking that in for sure. Correct. Carl,
- 55:15I think would be my next most confident if he counts as an other
- 55:20because he was locked up as a prisoner, but he was part of Ben's
- 55:24inner circle. He was just making sure that he wouldn't get Ben's adoptive daughter.
- 55:30I will end your suffering, correct, Okay. And then I'm lasked,
- 55:36who are can you give me the names again? Thomas Osborne, Jordan
- 55:40Waters, Goodwin stand hope. I went to school for Jordan Waters. I
- 55:45don't feel great about that game. Uh yeah, this last one is is
- 55:52tough because just Goodwin Stanford. That's an amish name if I've ever heard one.
- 56:00Look at it. It's either ultra or a professional writer. Yeah,
- 56:05I think I think that is one of the one that infiltrates the tailies.
- 56:08I'm pretty sure that's his name. I remember he has a stupid name,
- 56:13and that's a stupid name. You are You are correct on both fronts.
- 56:21I don't remember if he's the one who infiltrates the No, he is,
- 56:24because he's the one that Juliette is with it. Ben is mad about.
- 56:29Yes, yes, so he Juliet's dating Goodwin and so Ben gets all grumpy
- 56:34about it. But amazing funny. I would have assumed good one was a
- 56:37woman's name. Interesting. No, he's the guy that looks like Sean Bean
- 56:40if I remember correct. Yeah, just look at it like Sean is the
- 56:44person. And then Ethan's the guy who looks like Tom Cruise. But that's
- 56:46because he's Tom Crase's cousin. Oh is he really Yeah, he looks he
- 56:52looks like someone took Tom Cruise and Nathan Fillion and we're just like, guys,
- 56:59you just named Dane. That's like, that's like saying that's like saying
- 57:01Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon had a baby together, John Cena, what are
- 57:07you talking about? I did not see that coming. The fun fact one
- 57:14of my one of the exciting things is I believe Ethan Ram says he's from
- 57:19Canada, and like I think he says like Ottawa or Toronto or something.
- 57:22I think he's like a Canadian. Oh yeah, I remember there's a weird
- 57:25like and then Canadians well for no reason. I think through there's a run
- 57:30of like every time someone is from Canada, they end up being evil or
- 57:34like an ask if I remember correctly. I don't know if it's just the
- 57:37one time Ethan is definitely from Canada, but I think it happens again I'm
- 57:42Canadian and they end up big a bag the trumpes. That's all it is,
- 57:45Yeah, exactly, he says to Canadian he has to be good.
- 57:51His name is also one of the things I ran into a lot is his
- 57:53name is also an anagram of other man, and I almost put that in
- 57:58the last question, but I didn't. I love that. I love bad
- 58:02anagrams things. Well, if it's any indication I got, I had no
- 58:08idea for any of those, so I can't feeling about those. But they
- 58:12also sounded like the main others, so I'm dreading what are others are going?
- 58:15So your list Eloise Hawking, Tom Friendly, Caitlin Cruz, Alice Fowler,
- 58:25Horace good Speed, All right, this is others Odamer initiative. Correct.
- 58:30Yes, it's not survivors, not survivors. Okay, I'm pretty confident,
- 58:36actually true, I'm actually pretty incredible. I could probably run down Curious.
- 58:39The only one that like stuck in my head was Horace Goodspeed as not
- 58:45a real one, but but he is a real one. So I'm going
- 58:46to say, I'm going to say Horace good Speed is real. Correct,
- 58:51We're gonna say Eloise Hawking is real good yes, And we're gonna say Tom
- 58:54Friendly is real wow, the fakest one. Yes, Tom Friendly, way
- 59:00too weird to not be real. That was my only like one, mister
- 59:02Friendly, mister Friendly with the fight be Oh yeah, I remember that sounds
- 59:07familiar. One of the canonically queer characters in the show. Yes, yes,
- 59:13it's a it's a wrath again lost because it was the two thousands,
- 59:15but friendly absolutely revealed in the flashback. Yeah, I've enjoying being here Gang
- 59:21and I love it togather. Well that's the end of round one. Let's
- 59:27look at the computer in the bunker to see if it has the numbers,
- 59:30I mean the scores. Nice, we have bird walking this way, snakes
- 59:37read two reads, three reads. The lockouts are on twelve points and for
- 59:46eight fifteen, sixteen twenty three, fuck you are on thirteen points. Yes,
- 59:53up next is round two. I'll type in the numbers so we don't
- 59:58all die. You go listen to ads see you after this. Round two
- 1:00:08is called pitch it. Network Television wants to make a major comeback, and
- 1:00:15Lost is the answer. Season seven. Baby, I am a Becca Network
- 1:00:21ABC Network by ranking executive with a non named major broadcasting network, and I'm
- 1:00:28not very creative. Let's be real, I'm restarting a long finished show rather
- 1:00:32than making a new one for Christ's sake. So I need you, junior
- 1:00:36execs, to come up with some money making ideas to engage audiences or driving
- 1:00:40up viewing figures here. That's what we're doing points on like the profitability references.
- 1:00:47For former fans, we want to bring them in. How do we
- 1:00:51get the new viewers in? I want you to pitch me season seven of
- 1:00:58Lost. Now, we went with the lockouts first for all of the first
- 1:01:01round, so I'm tempted to go with four eight, fifteen, sixteen,
- 1:01:05twenty three fuck you first, let's do it. I've been thinking about season
- 1:01:07seven, Season seven I've lost for the last decade. Oh my good god.
- 1:01:10Well I have some weird ideas for this one. Yeah, if you
- 1:01:13want to stop, Drew, I'll be able to pick up on whatever you
- 1:01:15put down for show, and I think you'll like mine. Drew. We'll
- 1:01:19start with you for one minute, and then after that minute we will throw
- 1:01:22over to Matt to complete your argument. Three two one doo. So I
- 1:01:29don't think many no TV show has done this yet, but I think something
- 1:01:32we see a lot are when TV shows we want to see a remake,
- 1:01:37Like people go like I would love to see the show so many years later,
- 1:01:39redone with better quality or different actors, or like you know, like
- 1:01:43a better visual. So the network gives in and does it but then they
- 1:01:47very sneakily change a little bit. So you're watching the show and you're like,
- 1:01:52oh, yeah, it's the show. I love it. No,
- 1:01:53and it's like better and it's updated, but like, oh, that didn't
- 1:01:58happen in the original why would they? And then slowly but surely we find
- 1:02:01out maybe it isn't a remake per se. Recently the Final Fantasy franchise to
- 1:02:07this with Final Fantasy seven, where they made a Final Fantasy seven literally subtitled
- 1:02:13remake, and it actively has things coming into the world and changing the storyline,
- 1:02:17like as if it's trying to keep things on like a rail. A
- 1:02:21little bit about Loki Vibe two of like, yes, there's a way the
- 1:02:24show was supposed to go, but things aren't going the way they're supposed to
- 1:02:28go, so let's break things, switching to Matt Okay, I love this,
- 1:02:31Drew. We've dealt with flashbacks, flash sideways, flash forwards. We're
- 1:02:36dealing with flash alternate here because within the canon of Lost, like Drew said,
- 1:02:40as we start things out, it seems like, oh, they're just
- 1:02:43remaking Lost. That's a different Jack, that's a different whatever. But we
- 1:02:45find out about halfway through the first season that the previous cannon already happened and
- 1:02:51has happened in a different timeline. What's everything about now? Multivers is welcome
- 1:02:54to the Lost Multiverse. The Island you Love exists, so does they Silent.
- 1:03:00But this one is about Jacob trying to find the best possible candidate without
- 1:03:07as many people dying. So this is a This is an attempted redo by
- 1:03:10the gods of the show if and indeed the Executi produces are the gods of
- 1:03:15the show, so both canon and non canon, to find the candidate without
- 1:03:20as many popular characters being killed off. So this time they can have the
- 1:03:22Network TV dream of just all the characters live and Jin doesn't die as many
- 1:03:28times amazing things I loved were within this. I don't want to give away
- 1:03:36the things that I loved because there is another team that is going to go,
- 1:03:43and I want to be as impartial as possible. The lockouts are you
- 1:03:46ready? Yeah? You got day? I got it, I got it,
- 1:03:52don't you worry? Okay, let's go. Now. We have seasons
- 1:04:00of pre existing lore and television, and if we've learned anything, writers are
- 1:04:04bad and lazy, so we don't need to write anything else, everything's already
- 1:04:11happened. But we have a whole, as we've learned recently, cast of
- 1:04:14characters that we never saw. So we tap into the potential of sexy blue
- 1:04:18striped Shirt and her other survivors, and we see what's happening at the beach
- 1:04:26and at the caves. From the other side of the show. We've seen
- 1:04:30what happened with Jack and Kate and Sawyer and great, but when they're out
- 1:04:33doing adventures, what's happening back home in the different bases and the different camps.
- 1:04:39And now you have all these new characters that we already like, we
- 1:04:44know the story, and it's great. You don't have to like put in
- 1:04:45any work in developing. All you have to do is cast these sexy people
- 1:04:51to be the secondary auxiliary cast. On top of that, I think,
- 1:04:57not only do we not have to hire writers, because as we've learned,
- 1:05:00fuck them. The other thing that we can do is, while I was
- 1:05:04listening to the summarization video, everyone had a fucking true love. Oh my
- 1:05:12god, it's it's Penny, and it's it's what Howard, whatever is talk
- 1:05:15whatever. Everyone has a goddamn true love. So what we do is we
- 1:05:19cast a lot of sexy people. We we cut to them. There's a
- 1:05:24clip of Lost blah blah blah. Jack. We cut and we get to
- 1:05:27the sexy people, and what are they doing. They're finding their one true
- 1:05:30love? Oh my god, on this island. Listen, listen, gang,
- 1:05:36we got it in the bag. We we we We censored the nudity,
- 1:05:40but there's lots of sexy times. There's lots of drama. Oh,
- 1:05:44I got a darm initiative, a whole research facility. We gotta, we
- 1:05:47gotta research each other. You know what I mean. We call it part
- 1:05:55island. You know it's gonna say, did you just pitch Love Island?
- 1:06:00Shout out? I was gonna say, I just picture the Lost logo on
- 1:06:03that black background fading him, but just Love Island. Yeah, it could
- 1:06:06have been Worsking. Before Dane's pitch, I was like Survivor, Do Survivor.
- 1:06:13I'll be so honest. My other idea was like, just do Survivor
- 1:06:15and then have it slowly revealed that it isn't the reality show and it's actually
- 1:06:19like a weird drama like fake out for the audience. That's just a good
- 1:06:24idea in general. Yeah, a good TV series for the future. Yeah,
- 1:06:27yeah, but we didn't pitch that some incredible ideas. Oh man,
- 1:06:30I also request it in your reboot of the show. She never gets a
- 1:06:34name. She is always just blue striped shirts xy earl. She's she's still
- 1:06:39in the background. Yeah, she's never We just she's in every scene.
- 1:06:44It's always on her and everything's happening around her, and we just get like
- 1:06:46the flavor of the week TikTok Star. She changes every fucking week as well
- 1:06:50as long as she's wearing that shirt. It doesn't SSG as the the any
- 1:06:58is yea. On multiple websites, Lost fans will think that all the changing
- 1:07:01actors are some kind of theory and represent something about the future, like oh,
- 1:07:05changing the TikTok Star again. Yeah, you accidentally like fuck up canon
- 1:07:10or you fuck up like continuity or whatever. People are like what does it
- 1:07:14mean? You're like, yeah, great, figure it out, nerds,
- 1:07:15Yeah right righte this for us. Who needs AI We have nerds. Just
- 1:07:21get on Reddit and figure out what happens next. So from four eight,
- 1:07:27fifteen, sixteen twenty three, fuck you. I loved the idea of like
- 1:07:30there's little twists that goes as we go through that's the type of thing that
- 1:07:35we loved from that's the type of thing that we loved from lost. The
- 1:07:39old fans they're gonna love it because it's got the same things, but like
- 1:07:43ooh, a new flavor. New fans are gonna love it because they get
- 1:07:45to see the show without having to go back and watch the old show.
- 1:07:47Love this fucking love reality shows way into her heart. So this is this
- 1:08:00is tough. I did say that there would be points awarded specifically for getting
- 1:08:05former fans and new fans in. So I am going to go four points
- 1:08:12two four, eight, fifteen, sixteen, twenty three. Fuck you three
- 1:08:15points to the lockouts. Oh nice, love that I thought they were going
- 1:08:17to get five points. That's fair. You got the you got the points
- 1:08:21the things I said points for, you made sure to hit them, all
- 1:08:25right, I will honor. So next round, I don't have to make
- 1:08:28a show where it's them all crocheting while doing science and lesbians. Just yes,
- 1:08:36now, hold on, hold on, you don't have to not not
- 1:08:39do that. I mean, we can do that, but it's my pitch
- 1:08:43for next round. Scientific crocheting lesbians. My god, it sounds like a
- 1:08:47great tabletop RPGN the botany. So many plants are named after a vaginas because
- 1:08:58it was the only thing, only way that lesbians could go out unattended.
- 1:09:00I'm just going to say, that's just a good life fact. That's just
- 1:09:02that's nothing to do with lost and that garden an awful lot. Actually,
- 1:09:08maybe Julia helped her. There is there is a station called the Orchid.
- 1:09:14There we go, your next pitch, MOV no segue, So whatsoever speaking
- 1:09:26of orchids? Your next pitch. We want to take the last phenomenon out
- 1:09:32of television. We want to X band this. We know there was a
- 1:09:36video game, but we're going to forget about the fact that there was a
- 1:09:39video game. Pitch me a lost video game. You know, we're going
- 1:09:44to start with four eight, fifteen, sixteen, twenty three. Fuck you
- 1:09:46again. We're going to start with them again. Consistency within the round.
- 1:09:50I'm guessing I'm going to start this time the less knowledgeable person about video games,
- 1:09:55then leading into the more knowledgical person. Yeah. I have an advantage,
- 1:10:00so please take it away. I haven't thought of anything. Okay,
- 1:10:04we could, we could do we could I can breathe for a little bit.
- 1:10:06We can do no. No, it's I normally make people do this
- 1:10:10against the clock without any forethoughts, so I've got to live it as well.
- 1:10:14But can I just say right now, I hate it? Why do
- 1:10:15I do this to people? Take your medicine? Okay, right, just
- 1:10:25because I just said it, We're gonna do that thing that I'm forgetting the
- 1:10:29name of the genre now, But it's resource management, like like animal crossing,
- 1:10:32that kind of thing. But it's the survivors on the on the beach
- 1:10:35on the island. I know it makes more sense to go with like a
- 1:10:38mystery, but I think that's what the Bad Game did. So we're gonna
- 1:10:42say it's like you ten, you play a son, and you ten sons
- 1:10:45garden, but you also have to request other items that people go out hunting.
- 1:10:49You've got to send John Locke and Boone out hunting. Is Boone gonna
- 1:10:54die? Maybe? And you've got to keep as many people alive as possible
- 1:10:59while spending off things like the black Smoke Monster attacks from the others. You
- 1:11:03hear whispers in the night and you're like, what's this. Spend fifty carrots
- 1:11:08to stop the whispers. That's the kind of thing that are in these sorts
- 1:11:12of games, and yeah, that veganism, that's veganism. Ten seconds.
- 1:11:18Yeah, you go and you collect supplies and discover you can unlock more areas
- 1:11:26of the island as you go. And then I like what you said,
- 1:11:29there's no mystery in this game, but there are things that don't add up.
- 1:11:32And maybe if you're working with other people over the reddits and iterant and
- 1:11:36discords, you start piecing together weird things like hey, in my game,
- 1:11:42whenever this character says something, he always ends it with a bit of weird
- 1:11:45whispers. And if a bunch of people put their stuff together, they figure
- 1:11:47out it's a URL and it leads to a website. We've got a full
- 1:11:51arg on top of a very fun and casual, adorable farming sin game that
- 1:11:56takes place on the island. So you've got this entire mystery going on off
- 1:11:59the game that not everyone playing is gonna know, and building this mythos and
- 1:12:03digging into more of the world and branching off into other potential products to make
- 1:12:06more money for your company. But at it's very big. You have a
- 1:12:11game that anyone can enjoy. Yeah, we don't even need the rest of
- 1:12:15our time, right, drop drop Mike for three seconds. The game is
- 1:12:20called found. Nice, I will I'll tack that onto your three on new
- 1:12:26seconds. Incredible take to the logo being called found. But if you like
- 1:12:30take the cover of the game and like it really heavily increase the contract,
- 1:12:33you can see like almost an amper sand and like more of a logo has
- 1:12:36been peeled away and it was lost and found cut qq we A rgs terrible
- 1:12:44the lockouts? Dang, can I start this one absolutely please and go all
- 1:12:50right? Things I know about loss, there's time travel. There's lots of
- 1:12:54deaths. There's a lot of deaths dealing with time travel and the vice versa.
- 1:12:58So what genre lya into this and what genre has been having a real
- 1:13:02resurgence? And heyday roguelikes. I'd like to expand on this idea as well,
- 1:13:10where every time you die you go back in time, right, But
- 1:13:14I think the way you do this to expand it and like make it different
- 1:13:17from another roguelike is you do like slender Man, but a roguelike because you're
- 1:13:24gonna die in a horror first person game. But the idea of slender Man,
- 1:13:28especially when you're good at it, it gets boring. But the part
- 1:13:30that keeps you coming is like the mystery part, which is one of the
- 1:13:32best parts of Lost. So if you make a first person, if you
- 1:13:35make it about getting clues where you never really will die, there's no way.
- 1:13:40Let's say you avoid some others, Let's say you avoid some movie trims
- 1:13:43that Pola Bear, You're gonna die, but you get to unlock more of
- 1:13:45the mystery. Absolutely, Yeah, that's the whole thing is. And it's
- 1:13:49not just about whether you're going to die, it's who you allowed to die
- 1:13:55to see what happens as a waterfall trickle effect. Yeah. Right, So
- 1:13:59it's like, yeah, you know, you you've you've progressed far enough in
- 1:14:02the game to know that if Boom goes in the fucking helicopter or the plane,
- 1:14:05it's gonna crash and he's gonna die. So you can stop that and
- 1:14:09see what happens otherwise, but you won't get the dynamite to blow open the
- 1:14:13hatch. So you need to start sacrificing people on the island, people you've
- 1:14:17grown to love and care about over and over and over too. You need
- 1:14:21to be able to like as a recurring theme of loss of letting go,
- 1:14:26you have to let go of the people that you've come to love over these
- 1:14:29repeated playthroughs in order to progress to the full and satisfactory end of getting off
- 1:14:35the island. It's called Last, Mike, It's called Last. It's called
- 1:14:43Last. If you put the contrast high, the little line from the A
- 1:14:46goes away and it's lost again. Oh shit, Oh my god. Other
- 1:14:50than their incredibly derivative title, uh that's I know I'm gonna cost this point.
- 1:14:59So that's a fantastic pace And I want to play that game. Oh
- 1:15:00yeah, no, like god, like the idea I had initially not as
- 1:15:04good as ours, our idea, not as good as I will fully conceive
- 1:15:09this one. I will. It's so good because of like with the flash
- 1:15:13sideways and the time travel jumping through and the understanding of like that as like
- 1:15:16a core element within the game. Incredible. I do think there is like
- 1:15:21a certain element of Lost that is like that resource management. How are we
- 1:15:26going to feed the group? Should we live here? Should we live there?
- 1:15:29Whereas the settlement. So both of these are great ideas. I would
- 1:15:31play both of these video games. That was secretly the task is would I
- 1:15:34play them? So I will say now before you have scores. The thing
- 1:15:40I was going to pitch if I had gone first, would have been Lego
- 1:15:43lost play through. Oh very good. I'm going to say for the points
- 1:15:51resource management, I'm going to give it three points. It's a solid pitch.
- 1:15:58The lockouts. This is getting a fucking full five points. Oh my
- 1:16:02god, no, no, I fully I'm fully on board with that.
- 1:16:06So good. It hits the like thing that is relevant now in gaming.
- 1:16:11Gaming is being becoming really big with television. It hits both the things that
- 1:16:15I asked for and also something I fucking love, which is narrative roguelikes.
- 1:16:19Let's go. Yeah, congrats. For a second, before you said roguelike,
- 1:16:23I was like Prince of Persia dying over and over again in time travel?
- 1:16:30How are you making this work? Jason? Thank you? That was
- 1:16:32a good pitch. Yeah. For a second I thought you were going to
- 1:16:39go like Souls, Like, oh yeah, when you're talking about like dying
- 1:16:43over and over again, I was like, okay, but no, roguelike
- 1:16:45is the second you said it, I was like, yeah, I know
- 1:16:47it, I know you got Can you imagine a Soul's game where the final
- 1:16:50boss of the smoke Monster John Locke insane. Get to be fair. The
- 1:16:55final boss would be John Locke's just a bald man thing where you get like
- 1:17:00a really tough boss fight, and then the smoke creature really tough boss,
- 1:17:03and then the final form is John lock in the chair and you're just like
- 1:17:08the gimmick in like, no, he's a one shot, Like I don't
- 1:17:10get it, but for narrative reasons it works. Yeah, Well, let's
- 1:17:13ask doctor Daniel Faraday to calculate the scores. It is all tied up.
- 1:17:18Twenty points a piece. Okay, twenty points apiece. That's nice. Round
- 1:17:24three is next. First, Can you call me on the twenty fourth of
- 1:17:28December eight years from now. It's very important, or you could just come
- 1:17:32back after the ads. It's whatever, it's whatever, it's fine, I'm
- 1:17:42gonna do that. I'm gonna eight. Yes, I'm my calendar now.
- 1:17:45But you have to do that because Pennies your one true love. Who the
- 1:17:47hell is that guy? I know that guy? Yeah? Then the constant.
- 1:17:54I watched that scene that, like the phone call, probably like every
- 1:17:59couple of months because it is TV excellent. That's my That episode is my
- 1:18:02rom com like that is It's the perfect love story. No, it's it's
- 1:18:08incredible. The soundtrack that the cuts, the edit, Oh yeah, oh
- 1:18:13so good. The desperation, Oh yeah, it's it's incredible. Round three
- 1:18:17is the reason no, please do please. I was gonna say the reason.
- 1:18:23There's a reason I put the Constance as one of my team names.
- 1:18:26It's not funny name, it's just the best. It's just beautiful. Round
- 1:18:30three is called just fick it in picked sections from Lost related fan fiction Nice,
- 1:18:39but I removed phrases. You will need to determine which of the phrases
- 1:18:44that I give you as options are from the original fan fiction. Excellent,
- 1:18:51let's go the lockouts. In this fan fiction, the Dharma Initiative has an
- 1:18:57ice rink, and Juliet and Sawyer are gonna go to the ice rink and
- 1:19:00it's adorable. That's the excerpt. So now here they are walking hand in
- 1:19:06hand across the lawn. It's got to be at least seventy degrees, even
- 1:19:11though it's December. He thinks he's forgotten what it's like to be cold,
- 1:19:15except when he pulls open the doors of the wreck room and immediately is blasted
- 1:19:19with wind that feels like a a polar Bear's timeshare B fifty industrial strength air
- 1:19:32conditioners, Oh my god, or C probably less than seventy degrees. That's
- 1:19:41really good. Fust dude. I was like, what is seventy to seventy
- 1:19:45degrees? Yeah? Yeah, that's a marriage like freedom units. Yeah.
- 1:19:54I was like, that's like I would say, terrible hot, like your
- 1:20:00bacon. You're not going to hold hands across the walls. Can I just
- 1:20:02say this, Hey, Celsius out ranks fahrenheit on this podcast between the five
- 1:20:06of us, so I don't think this podcasts Hell yeah, twenty five welcome
- 1:20:12to the metrics system. Wait, it's twenty five degrees. Yeah, that
- 1:20:17sound about right. That's what's seventy? Yeah, twenty to twenty five.
- 1:20:21I'll probably say they're going indoors, They're going into an indoor rink. It's
- 1:20:26okay, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha old. I was like, also,
- 1:20:30twenty five degrees still, yeah, okay for an ice rink? Certainly absolutely.
- 1:20:36What are you thinking? My initial knee jerk reaction is the fifty industrial
- 1:20:41eric. Yeah, it's the it's the worst written one. It's like it's
- 1:20:45the worst one, and like they seem super fixated on temperature, and I
- 1:20:48feel like you see on temperature Get America. We get it, seventy degrees,
- 1:20:59we got My concern is that they're so deep in the lost sauce to
- 1:21:03bring that back that they want to make a Polar Bear reference. Yeah,
- 1:21:08that's fair, that's fair. All of these are written like their Doctor Seuss
- 1:21:12books, and I love all of them just like and I'm going to slam
- 1:21:17the writer here just because if you write fifty air conditioners, what are you
- 1:21:20a child? It's like what I think they are most fiction writers are.
- 1:21:27This is mad, right. I feel like that level of writing is either
- 1:21:29a child or Douglas as if your instinct and gut feeling was the fifty air
- 1:21:38conditioners. I I agree with that that Polar Bears are tempting, but I
- 1:21:42think it's the fifty the Polar Bears fifty air conditioner or something. Also,
- 1:21:45I'm not calling Audra Child for writing these. She's right on par with what
- 1:21:49you've done a job. This is time. Yeah, this is really tough.
- 1:21:55Did a very very good job. Fifty air conditioners? Yeah correct?
- 1:21:59Wow, nice, that's crazy. I really would have gone that one.
- 1:22:02Yeah. Same. I think it felt just good enough to be true,
- 1:22:04like, oh, we're looking. We're looking to make a lost reference within
- 1:22:08the lost fan fiction. Yes, but I also, judging by the rest
- 1:22:14of the writing, I don't think they're smart to make that reference. Which
- 1:22:16is it's true? I think it's I think it's like a twelve year old
- 1:22:20who only knows that, like, the only way things get cold is by
- 1:22:23a lot of air conditions. Yeah, also a polar bear time share in
- 1:22:28this climate both economically and geographic. Sorry, sorry about that. Please please
- 1:22:35roll over there, you are fine? Four eight fifteen. Fuck you.
- 1:22:41Yeah. At this point, somehow I feel like that wasn't the name of
- 1:22:45the direction to us. Kate and Jack are taking a walk, that's the
- 1:22:50premise, Okay. As they walked back to the beach, Jack couldn't help
- 1:22:55but look at her. She was radiant in the darkness, like a firefly.
- 1:23:00In that moment, he understood why a orpheus couldn't help but look back
- 1:23:04at yourrit To have beauty so close to you and have to look away.
- 1:23:12That's gross. B they had to tell you not to look at the sun.
- 1:23:16The gleam is irresistible. Oh my god, this is hurting me.
- 1:23:24See, which doesn't help me either. Yeah, yeah, it's equally likely
- 1:23:35that she's laughing at her embarrassment, or yeah, owl City wasn't. Okay,
- 1:23:45I'm going to for the benefit. We don't know what is lucky.
- 1:23:53The owl City wasn't terrified when ten million fireflies tried tried to tried to hug
- 1:24:02him good night. Okay. All three of these are equally plausible, and
- 1:24:09I'm going I am going to gamify here just because I have no idea between
- 1:24:13the other two. Ordra laughed at that in the way the Audra laughs at
- 1:24:15her own. It's a good it's very like, it's a very good joke.
- 1:24:24But it's also the kind of thing that I feel like a childhood right
- 1:24:27thinking it's romantic. So absolutely, I'm just very confident in the knowledge of
- 1:24:33my wife and the way I laugh at my own jokes when they're fucking incredible.
- 1:24:40It was an excellent joke, and you know it, don't stare at
- 1:24:44the sun. First of all, if she's radiant at night, she's like,
- 1:24:47something's wrong. That's like get a Geiger counter and a run. Yeah,
- 1:24:51I'm skewt. She eventually lily radiates any time of day, and hey,
- 1:24:57Drew, you're getting real close to get on the list just by the
- 1:25:01way, for everyone who doesn't know. That was very DM voice there.
- 1:25:03For a minute, I got scared I would reaching for Dice. Well,
- 1:25:08we may as well roll for this one, because between the first two they
- 1:25:11both sound like suitably this kind of fan fiction. What was the first one?
- 1:25:15Again? It was Orpheus and euryticy. To have beauty so close to
- 1:25:20you and having to look away like that seems like a great line for someone
- 1:25:25who knew what the fuck they were doing. Yeah, and I also know
- 1:25:28that you have a bit of like mythology in you, so it wouldn't be
- 1:25:31out of left field for you to come up with that one. I'm leaning
- 1:25:34on the sun. That's a dangerous thing to do. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:41but I will. I will agree with you, Drew, And let's let's
- 1:25:43lean on the sun. Wrong. It was Orpheus and oh but if Collus
- 1:25:51it is. I'm mad at myself for that one. Lockouts your second piece
- 1:25:56of fan fiction. This is an alternate universe where Charlie's Claire a singer at
- 1:26:01a bar. We're getting off now. Yeah, it just makes no sense
- 1:26:06whatsoever. But okay, it's so good. Uh. Charlie sat in his
- 1:26:10seat and tried not to be obvious while watching the Pretty Girl. She wore
- 1:26:14jeans and a flowery peasant top. Through the golden strands of her hair,
- 1:26:17Charlie could see her peacock feather earrings dangling. The next sentence is either A,
- 1:26:24B, R C A how could he not buy her a pint?
- 1:26:30B? Was she looking to attract attention? See? Did she want him
- 1:26:36to touch them right off the child? Yeah, that's exactly why I'm down
- 1:26:46towards B or C personally. How how is your fashion knowledge? Is peasant
- 1:26:53toppling an actual style? Or like I don't know anything about style or fashion
- 1:26:59and I would like to know, like is peasant top is she? Are
- 1:27:01they trying to imply that she's poor? Like it? It's like a type
- 1:27:04of top where it's like slowy at the top and then like gathered. Okay,
- 1:27:09I think I know, judging by when this show came out in the
- 1:27:13early two thousand, I think I know exactly what you're talking. Yeah,
- 1:27:15it's gathered and then it flows out. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:27:19I do not think this person is old enough to know what buy a pint
- 1:27:24is? Right, Like saying pint implies that, like you, you are
- 1:27:29a drinker. I think if like from my standpoint in England though we do
- 1:27:33stop drinking at twelve, if that I was gonna say, or the UK
- 1:27:39or some more adjacent to the UK, like I could see that the childish
- 1:27:45mindset of this is like buy a pint, a pint of what. I
- 1:27:47don't know. I just I've heard that on TV right, like it's it's
- 1:27:51Dominic Monaghan and I've seen him buy a pint in other things. So he's
- 1:27:55going to buy a pint in this. Why I don't get that. I
- 1:28:00think it's gotta have to do with the ear rings because it's very clothing centric.
- 1:28:02Yeh yeah, I think I think they're like do I touch her,
- 1:28:06do I approach her? I think it's b B. I think it's b
- 1:28:12because here's here's my thing is like, my my rationale for this is I'm
- 1:28:17guessing this is written by a teenage girl and reaction, I, Hey,
- 1:28:24you don't need to we can all just assume that. I'm sorry, Yeah,
- 1:28:30sure, short. I would bet money that the Orpheus reference is a
- 1:28:32dude there, but the other two ladies, Uh, this is my my
- 1:28:41thought is a lot of like a knee jerk reaction when women are dressed nice
- 1:28:45is to accuse them of just wanting attention. I see. So that's that's
- 1:28:50where I'm thinking. That's my my rationale is that, like this is a
- 1:28:56woman writing a man wanting a woman. Yeah, yeah, I love I
- 1:29:00love this round because it's getting in the layers of someone who is like operating
- 1:29:04on multiple levels of unhinged. That's that's my my guess. How do you
- 1:29:10feel I'll win it, man, I'll win it. Yeah, Like for
- 1:29:13me, it's it's almost a thirty three percent chances of each But I like
- 1:29:15that round. Yeah, that's a You've done very well making this a nightmare
- 1:29:23for us. Yeah, are you locked? But I think I think we're
- 1:29:26gonna go with B Yeah it correct. Wow. I think I figured I
- 1:29:30had to do this round because whenever I am a player on this round,
- 1:29:33I feel so confident. There's been times Matt didn't used to give us options
- 1:29:39and I used to get it right. Oh yeah, that's true, that's
- 1:29:42true. Yeah, yeah, this was always your round. I remember that
- 1:29:44you're writing these questions. Is like, no, no offense to you,
- 1:29:46Matt, but this is this is the next next level. Yeah, it's
- 1:29:48way better. I feel like Auder is a little more in her element here
- 1:29:51than you would be. This is from fuck you. It's the abbreviated name
- 1:29:57of your team. Same fan. Okay, shit, damn. I wish
- 1:30:02I ain't gone so far into the psychology's notes now. As a musician,
- 1:30:09he was intrigued by her talent, but as a normal red blooded man,
- 1:30:15Scorry, I have to get it to get back in. He found her
- 1:30:18smile mesmeric. She was different though from the girls he was usually drawn to
- 1:30:25a blonde for a start, B sober, see young and fresh in appearance.
- 1:30:34Oh that's horrible. They are all back. Could be that so so
- 1:30:40like they could be making with sober. They could be making a reference to
- 1:30:44Charlie's drug use and sort of saying, oh, this is the thing that's
- 1:30:47different about this girl. So we're going for like a redemption story for Charlie
- 1:30:51off the island kind of thing. So there's some narrative character stuff there,
- 1:30:56and funny, I lean that I lean on the same one as well,
- 1:30:58but for a different reason in this it's that like if we're kind of going
- 1:31:00with Dane's like psychological breakdown of this poor like twelve year old girl ready to
- 1:31:04fan pick yeah, profiles that Like, I feel like if you're doing like
- 1:31:15that self insert, you're like gonna like paint it as like I'm not like
- 1:31:19other girls, and like I'm different and that's why he likes me, and
- 1:31:24like being blonde doesn't really feel like something you would like shout out as like
- 1:31:28guys don't normally go for blonde girls. Yeah, that's weird. But then
- 1:31:31I kind of want to go for the sober one. I think we should
- 1:31:35also consider C because I agree A. I think we rule that out.
- 1:31:40It doesn't sound either like character enough or fanficky enough. But the third one
- 1:31:45sounds very like the sorts of things I've read in fan fiction. Yeah,
- 1:31:49that also comes. I still between the two. My heart goes with sober.
- 1:31:54It is it is, it makes sense for the characters, and it
- 1:31:58would be the better fan fiction to write. So I'm happy to go with
- 1:32:00SOFA because, yeah, if you're kidding with the bad fan fiction writing exactly,
- 1:32:08Yeah, it has the bad fanfic angle, but I think BE has
- 1:32:10a little more heart. Yes, so we're gonna go with B. It's
- 1:32:13not B, it's fake. It's say she was different though from the girls
- 1:32:19he was usually drawn to young and fresh in appearance. What the fuck?
- 1:32:25What is normally I only date old women on their deaths bad. It's hard
- 1:32:30for me. I'm really worried that, Like I kind of like moonnighted and
- 1:32:35blacked out and wrote these because I worried. I was gonna say, you
- 1:32:43had a hardcore on the fucking profile. But this is a twenty eight year
- 1:32:45old man's like work, Like, yeah, this was my DM date.
- 1:32:51I mean, clearly, if there's ever like a Zodiac Killer who leaves his
- 1:32:57clues through fan fiction, they're fucked. I got him and then you'll fight
- 1:33:02them. Yeah, zodiac killer on my list. It depends did he get
- 1:33:11the loss ending? If he did his fine, let him go. Dan
- 1:33:15has the Zodiac Killer like quarter on the edge of a cliff, and it's
- 1:33:17like, but I love the ending of loss, like I'll let you go
- 1:33:20this time. Hey, tell me what it is, tell me where is?
- 1:33:25He understood it, but he still doesn't like it. He's getting John
- 1:33:30Locke pushed off a clip. So they've become progressively more romantic. As we're
- 1:33:39gonna we're gonna go the last one. This is smut. Let's go oh
- 1:33:45hell yeah, lockouts, Jack and Kate on the beach. There's a lot
- 1:33:48of Jack and Kate. Let's see if I can straight face breathe these out
- 1:33:51loud, he complied, deepening the kiss, moving his tongue to meet hers.
- 1:34:00I didn't get in her wet mouth to explore a The supple, silky
- 1:34:04flesh, be the soft, delicious flesh. Per see the delicate, velvety
- 1:34:14flesh. I'm getting exactly the reaction I was hoping for everyone is this is
- 1:34:20tough because at the end of our show, Nile, my co host,
- 1:34:27reads bad sex writing as he finds like an exerpt from either fan fiction or
- 1:34:33you know whatever, And you've somehow managed to hit all of the words that
- 1:34:42I hate. Why isn't that Of all the words you said, comply was
- 1:34:46one of the most trouble with it? Like, I don't want to like
- 1:34:49the assumption that there's a non in front of that, Like even the by
- 1:34:54putt and comply in the story, it implies the existence of non comply.
- 1:34:58I don't like it. Yeah, could you give them to me one more
- 1:35:02time? The supple silky flesh, the soft, delicious flesh, the delicate,
- 1:35:10velvety flesh. Okay, so multiple choice rules. I started just a
- 1:35:14fun fact about my thought process. I was like, which one of these
- 1:35:16is most accurate to a human mouth? And then I stopped that because that's
- 1:35:19not what this game is about at all. No, no, hold on,
- 1:35:21hold on, hold, I want to know what you think is the
- 1:35:25most accurate. Listen. I like smokers. I want ash and rot in
- 1:35:30my mouth. I want you're making out with you. It's gonna taste like
- 1:35:38a New York City subway pool. That's against mine, all right, Like
- 1:35:44if you're sending a canary first to make sure it's safe. I guess sorry.
- 1:35:49The multiple choice thing is, there's two of these answers that start with
- 1:35:54soft. The last one starts with silky, the delicious, Supple silky soft,
- 1:36:00delicious, delicate, velvety never mind, I lied, So it's a
- 1:36:05lot of flesh delicious. Yeah, I included flesh every time suppled silky soft,
- 1:36:12delicious, velvet or delicate velvet, velvet delicate. I'm also the way
- 1:36:17descriptives for chocolate right now, and I am any. I think supple delicious
- 1:36:24will be a new drag name. I mean, I feel like this is
- 1:36:29a mad libs to just get an excellent drag name, regardless of you know
- 1:36:32what I mean, like soft and silky, velvet delicious. Yeah, it's
- 1:36:36like you can heart of hearts. I'm leaning towards delicious. I feel like
- 1:36:42bad fan fiction writers describe things as delicious. I want to knee jerk say
- 1:36:48yes to you. Okay. However, supple is a leaning post, a
- 1:36:57tent pole of bad sex. Right. Supple is like when people write women
- 1:37:03some part of their body is supple. Always bad male writers assume women are
- 1:37:09just supple all the time. Yeah, you're talking. I don't know what
- 1:37:14it means, Sam fucking dude, I'm suppling right now. Yeah, I'm
- 1:37:20the supplest one here. We all know. I've reached thirty six years of
- 1:37:28age without having an existential crisis. Quite like my fan fiction. I think
- 1:37:34you got me. I think I am like ten minutes away from buying a
- 1:37:41sports cart. I'm a shoot I'm a shoot soft and supple. I'm a
- 1:37:49shoot soft and supple. Well, so it's silky, sucker, God damn,
- 1:37:55it's soft and delicious. I think it's I think it's supple. So
- 1:38:00are you locking in a supple and silky? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:38:05wrong, delicious, isn't it? Nope? Okay, velvet. So much
- 1:38:15fiction, and I just waited for something to make me go yeah, like
- 1:38:20a bat. It was velvety. Velvety was my keyword. As soon as
- 1:38:25you said velvety, I was like, yeah, that's just imagine licking velvet.
- 1:38:29Just do it always do do you not? Yeah? I feel like
- 1:38:34I have lvateen rabbit. No, Matt has make your own luck. I
- 1:38:41think of if I don't do this, I'm gonna go have to lick my
- 1:38:44punishment velvet. You it's a bad thing, it's a positive thing. Yeah,
- 1:38:51it's my reward. Had to lick the velvet one direction to make it
- 1:38:58like change color. You get to go down. Yeah, it's amazing how
- 1:39:04frequently the good and the bad overlap. It's amazing. I'm so afraid to
- 1:39:09hear ours, Matt, fuck you Yep, I agreed, yours the horny
- 1:39:15part. I'll just read it. It's fine. I'm putting the drink down.
- 1:39:20So this is when Ben is like captured by John Locke. Oh ella,
- 1:39:28I have to give my mindset right again. Here's the non compliance.
- 1:39:33I'm so they don't say I'm here for this. About two seconds they are
- 1:39:40he moaned with pleasure and held his breath when eventually John tipped him over the
- 1:39:45edge and he spilled all over John's hand. They stared at each other for
- 1:39:49a while, unable to find words that A seemed sensible in the situation.
- 1:39:58B expressed enough emotion, see demonstrated their devotion. Okay, your guys say
- 1:40:06tame compared to us. And there's somebody come in. I don't know if
- 1:40:14it's thinking about Terry Quinn with a handful of It's like with any other character
- 1:40:20set I would rule out to see almost immediately, But for the two of
- 1:40:25them, seem seems way too normal. Yes, they all seem like they'd
- 1:40:29fit. Because I'll be honest, I was just still railing from the cheeky
- 1:40:33swan hand job that was going on in the little present cell. It's almost
- 1:40:38like the person writing these questions was one of those young girls writing fan fiction.
- 1:40:46Matt, if you can slip me Audre's AO three team so I can
- 1:40:49go find all her old dramatic of them, That's kind of what I'm expecting
- 1:40:55here. I think this is are through the ages. God, I wish,
- 1:41:03I wish I would just get caught in a time loop. Oh my
- 1:41:08gosh. I flipped back to the past, I wrote them, and I
- 1:41:13came back to the future for this, and this is the flashforward. I
- 1:41:18can't believe I'm gonna say this, But can I hear them one more time?
- 1:41:20Place unable to find words that A seemed sensible in the situation, expressed
- 1:41:28enough emotion, demonstrated their devotion. Oh my god, it feels Yeah,
- 1:41:33I see what you mean, Drew. A and B feel like they make
- 1:41:35most sense. But even like even A seems like A really like why would
- 1:41:40anyone say that? But it's these two characters exactly. It makes sense.
- 1:41:44They're both quite sensible. Why I suppose Locks not too sensible that even in
- 1:41:48his like even in his most insane moments, he seemed really down to earth
- 1:41:51and like there was a weird lawful to him, like he's driven by he's
- 1:41:57lawful evil. Yeah, god, I'm like weirdly okay. Ruling out B
- 1:42:03of all things and going with AARC yeah yeah, because ultimate AMB feel like
- 1:42:09a similar vibe to me, but as the one I'm drawn to you.
- 1:42:12So yeah, let's go with A. Let's let's yeah, I'm good with
- 1:42:15A. Yeah, let's do it. A is correct, Yeah, I
- 1:42:21got it. That would have been my guess too. To be fair,
- 1:42:24I think this is the best written out of all of them. I was
- 1:42:27so hard set on C for a while. You really had to pull me
- 1:42:30to A. I'm surprised. Yeah, that was a really beautiful description of,
- 1:42:34you know, a hand jump. I wanted to specifically do this pairing
- 1:42:39because I saw it so much, and so I wanted it back in the
- 1:42:44day. I shift them nice. Yeah, very intense, very intense.
- 1:42:47They had a lot going on. That's the end of round three. Let's
- 1:42:50check the scores. Okay there when Oh this is not golf. Okay,
- 1:42:56so they are winning, gotcha? Cool? Nice? The scores we have
- 1:43:01fuck you for eight fifteen sixteen twenty three fuck you for the full title are
- 1:43:05at twenty one points. The lockouts twenty two five. That's CIA fucking interrogation
- 1:43:18profial. This is a nail bier, high scoring nail bier for damn sure.
- 1:43:27Before we get to the quick fire around though, let's talk prizes this
- 1:43:30episode. Star prize is the concept of salvation and rebirth, but that's less
- 1:43:35fun than material goods. So our winning team will receive a round trip ticket
- 1:43:42to Sydney, Australia. Oh shit, the flight back is Oceanic Flight eight
- 1:43:48fifteen. Your seat is like right at the front, so you are fucked.
- 1:43:55Also, we're not even gonna have a magical island adventure, so sorry.
- 1:43:59Okay. Up next is our crucial quick fire around, only one point
- 1:44:03in it, but first one set of ads. Don't worry, I won't
- 1:44:08move the island while you're gone. Our final quick fire around will test your
- 1:44:17broader pop culture knowledge, and it's called SI What the heck? As we
- 1:44:23know, science is a pretty big element of this show. Scientific research scientific
- 1:44:30organization, as well as that supernatural island unlost. This leads to tons of
- 1:44:36scientific research being done on this island. In this game, I will give
- 1:44:40our players clues to other equally bold scientific organizations. In fiction, the clues
- 1:44:45will be in the form of a businessman talking on his phone loudly to a
- 1:44:49co worker about his job so that everybody knows he's a big business boy.
- 1:44:55Your job will be to identify what SI tech organization this braggert works at.
- 1:45:00Okay, and there is a course a classic gate leapers twist after the organization.
- 1:45:06You need to say, we get it. You work at blank?
- 1:45:12Okay, Okay, Yeah, I thought it was gonna be initiative. I
- 1:45:15was really just like, I was like, I know where this is going.
- 1:45:18It's quick fire. So we'll buzz in yelling out your team name.
- 1:45:21Let's practice that now. Fuck youre four locked out, locked out the quickest
- 1:45:29number. But it's gonna be because you're gonna say fuck, and you're gonna
- 1:45:31say lock. I'll change mine to ano, but I'll go. I'll go,
- 1:45:35I'll say like eight cuck cool, cool, cool, cool, thank
- 1:45:38you. We'll have I have an example question for us. I'm gonna hold
- 1:45:41my phone so that I feel like a big business boy. Yep, I
- 1:45:44must. Yeah, I'll have that report to you by Tuesday. Absolutely.
- 1:45:47Our new intern, Gwen Stacy, will send it right over. Locked four.
- 1:45:53I heard lock first, and we get it. You work it on
- 1:45:55us CORP. Correct? Nice, Okay, okay, you can interrupt me
- 1:45:59at any point. Yeah, I'm headed back to the enrichment center in Michigan
- 1:46:02right now. I'll send over those portal guns the second ironic la, Oh
- 1:46:09fuck, we get it. You work at Absturgo incorrect. Oh no,
- 1:46:15no, it's no, we get it. You work at Aperture Science.
- 1:46:19You're a big business boy. Nice correct, damn it. I don't.
- 1:46:28Don't ask where the orange one is. I don't care what it takes.
- 1:46:30Just get me those eggs. I don't care. If the Queen gets mad,
- 1:46:32she can lay some more. I'll send one hundred teams to that planet
- 1:46:35if it. If that's what it takes to get me to Xenopore eight,
- 1:46:42we get it. You work at Wait? Okay, do you even help
- 1:46:50you with the whole thing? The thing that was in my head that felt
- 1:46:54like it was wrong, I now realize is I was gonna say Utani because
- 1:46:57it is Wayland's Utani Corporation, right correct? Yeah, yeah, that works,
- 1:47:01that works. I was gonna just say I couldn't. Was like,
- 1:47:03it's Whylan. I know, I see the shirt everywhere. Yeah. I
- 1:47:05froze because like all I could think of was Utanni, and I was like,
- 1:47:09shit, what's the second like thing that actually worked perfectly for you guys.
- 1:47:14I don't have the bandwidth for that project, with the custom paint jobs
- 1:47:16on the jeeps and moving seats in that theater for the presentation, I don't
- 1:47:21have time to look at the electric fences and acted luck oh but yes,
- 1:47:27oh fuck. I don't know what the science thing is called. But we
- 1:47:29get it. You work at Jurassic Park. I will accept Jurassic Park Laboratory.
- 1:47:32Okay, Oh, laboratory okay, Hammond Creation Lab is the formal title.
- 1:47:36Uh, let's not reinvent the wheel here. We can provide a suit
- 1:47:41that can give you superhuman strengths, durability, ability to fly, provide an
- 1:47:45a fourth web. True, Yeah, we get it. You work for
- 1:47:48Stark Industries. Correct, Jude, I gotta over I gotta stop overthinking the
- 1:47:53comic ones. That's it it was, But Jason, I had the same
- 1:47:57thought of you, of like, oh, that seems like a really easy
- 1:48:00to be an iron Man one, but like you know what that would work?
- 1:48:01Yeah? Yeah, just calling to touch base with that shipment you should
- 1:48:04have received from our Albuquerque office. Walter is very interested in keeping this business
- 1:48:10alive. Yes, Matt, we get it. You work lock but it's
- 1:48:15not. It's not. You work at Breaking Black Block Clocks, Lock Clock.
- 1:48:19I actually know it. Can I steal it if I know the actual
- 1:48:23name, Oh, the actual name, I'll allow it. We get it.
- 1:48:25You work at gray Matter Industries or gray Matter. I was gonna say
- 1:48:30the Chicken Place, so I was gonna, oh, the Chicken Place.
- 1:48:32Oh, I know that one the science is gray matter. I was gonna
- 1:48:39say, act me. I'll be very honest. I was going Wiley because
- 1:48:43he's Walter White and the other guy is like something black, and so they
- 1:48:46make gray matter. That's not the answer I had. I had super Lab
- 1:48:51because it's what they call the big one with the Walter White. Oh well,
- 1:48:56he's like I thought it was like the corporation he made with his I
- 1:48:59looked it up and gray matter is a breaking bad science corp. Yeah,
- 1:49:02so you want to give it to Okay, our organization is nothing if not
- 1:49:12data driven. Just send your resume to one USS Enterprise Road Sanford's Starfleet.
- 1:49:19All right, we get it. You work at Starfleet is going to jump
- 1:49:25on you. Awesome. Honestly, the r O I for this is incredible.
- 1:49:31I know he has no powers, but isn't money the greatest superpower?
- 1:49:34About that? We get it, Win Enterprises correct? Damn got on that
- 1:49:43one. Yeah? Oh no. We can totally save the world from climate
- 1:49:46crisis. Absolutely. I can make a couple more death bringers corruptors. We'll
- 1:49:53have it all sorted out. Matt, Oh no, I've got the wrong

- 1:53:34up until the very end. Oh four eight, fifteen, sixteen, twenty
- 1:53:42three fuck you twenty six points. Wow that sounds good. Wow the lockouts
- 1:53:49twenty seven? Who there is the interesting thing if you want to count it
- 1:53:59as a HI, you guys gave them a point. Oh yeah for the
- 1:54:02Dharma logo. No, that's just that's just Doma Comma paying off. That's
- 1:54:08yeah. I wanted to give you the option. No, no, because
- 1:54:11that was that was actually in the correct way. Yeah, absolutely, yeah,
- 1:54:15yeah, no, fair enough I'll concede defeat my child yourself is fis,
- 1:54:21but I'm okay. As punishment, I will go rewatch loss when I've
- 1:54:26done X files, so in like a year and a half or one summer
- 1:54:30vacation. I mean, if I continue being unemployed a lot of time.
- 1:54:35Yeah, this this remained. This means that Jason and I have remained undefeated.
- 1:54:41We won our last pairing as well. I like this. I like
- 1:54:45that for stout Leaper, and I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure it was
- 1:54:49by one point as well. Last time I think it was. I think
- 1:54:53it was a very close win. Last time. We always make it close
- 1:54:56kind of on purpose. No, Matt, we did really good and it
- 1:55:01was. There was no fixing scores. Absolutely before I forget. Would you
- 1:55:06like to hear what makes me really mad about? Yeah? Number number thing?
- 1:55:11Yes, we heard this. So one of the numbers is twenty three.
- 1:55:15Yes, the date the plane crashes is September twenty second, So nine
- 1:55:23and twenty two both one off from the other numbers, and so like,
- 1:55:28why not August twenty third? Why everything in the show is number focused,
- 1:55:33but this one they crashed on nine nine two. I get that. That's
- 1:55:40that's super annoying. However, if you're taking a flight from Australia back to
- 1:55:45LA you're going the wrong way in the time zones. So technically the flight
- 1:55:50took off at twenty three and as soon as it ticked over to not the
- 1:55:55right time numbers anymore, that's when it crashed. But that doesn't the right
- 1:56:00raising the number sequence the plane. But but again it's still still a nine.
- 1:56:05Yeah, the change the D I mean, I don't think is Australia
- 1:56:11or a whole months ahead of us. Who knows what happens down? Who
- 1:56:15knows hot snowfalls up? It's all crazy. Update. If we're talking about
- 1:56:19Wii islands, that's the island. That's fun. We love you our Australian
