- Lucas: Hey Luna, welcome back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo. Today we're staying at the park, but we've got a few more playground items to cover. Luna: Ohh, I love the park episodes. I feel like I'm actually there. What are we learning today? Lucas: Three new items: el pasamanos, el sube y baja, and la red de escalar. Let's start with el pasamanos. Say it with me: el pasamanos. Luna: El pasamanos. That's the monkey bars, right? Lucas: Exactly. El pasamanos. Now, a sentence: Los niños juegan en el pasamanos. The children play on the monkey bars. Luna: Los niños juegan en el pasamanos. That's a mouthful, but I think I got it. Lucas: You did great. Now, el sube y baja. That's the seesaw. El sube y baja. Literally 'up and down'. Luna: El sube y baja. That's cute. Like the thing goes up and down. Lucas: Right. Now a sentence: Me gusta el sube y baja. I like the seesaw. Luna: Me gusta el sube y baja. That's easy. I can see kids having fun on that. Lucas: And finally, la red de escalar. That's the climbing net. La red de escalar. Luna: La red de escalar. So red is net, and escalar is to climb. Lucas: Exactly. Now a sentence: La red de escalar es divertida. The climbing net is fun. Luna: La red de escalar es divertida. I can imagine climbing that. Lucas: Let's review all three quickly: el pasamanos, el sube y baja, la red de escalar. You try. Luna: El pasamanos, el sube y baja, la red de escalar. Nailed it! Lucas: Ahh, yes! Now let's put them in a little scene. Imagine you're at the park with friends. You say: 'Vamos al pasamanos.' Let's go to the monkey bars. Luna: Vamos al pasamanos. Then maybe someone says: 'Prefiero el sube y baja.' I prefer the seesaw. Lucas: Perfect. And another friend: 'Quiero la red de escalar.' I want the climbing net. Luna: Quiero la red de escalar. So each kid chooses their favorite. Lucas: Exactly.
