- 2:10Speaker 3: Like you know that they're there, and they're using binoculars

- 3:43Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know the Alma Show.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Construction starts today on Hollywood Boulevard, which is the two
- 3:50Speaker 3: to eighty overpass between Homewood and Mountain Brooks. They're making
- 3:53Speaker 3: a new pedestrian access over that bridge, so there.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Could be periodic lane closures, so you should use caution.
- 4:00Speaker 2: If you have to go that way.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Drive slow where give yourself some extra time if you
- 4:03Speaker 3: have to use that bridge on your way to work.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Ariana Grande is taking a step out of the public
- 4:09Speaker 3: after her tour is over. Right now, she's on her
- 4:12Speaker 3: Eternal Sunshine tour in London, which ends in London on
- 4:16Speaker 3: September first, and her rep confirmed to people that she
- 4:20Speaker 3: will be taking a step back from visibility after she
- 4:23Speaker 3: completes the tour. The rep also said she looks forward
- 4:26Speaker 3: to ending it on a high note, healthy and happy
- 4:29Speaker 3: and taking a much deserve break from public facing work.
- 4:32Speaker 2: So we will not see any.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Public appearances from Ariana Grande after September first, for.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I don't know how long. They didn't give us a timeframe.
- 4:40Speaker 2: There is a new rumor going around about Taylor Swift and.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Blake Lively and what is it that Blake Lively was
- 4:46Speaker 3: reportedly so upset that Taylor Swift did not invite her
- 4:49Speaker 3: to the twenty twenty five Super Bowl that she reached
- 4:51Speaker 3: out to Taylor and asked her to make a public
- 4:53Speaker 3: statement that there was no tension between them and threatened
- 4:57Speaker 3: to release years of private messages involving Taylor's relationships and
- 5:00Speaker 3: personal life. If she didn't, what does she think she's doing?
- 5:05Speaker 3: That's the rumor. Blake's attorney says that this is false,
- 5:10Speaker 3: but also Blake Lively is not invited to Taylor Swift's
- 5:13Speaker 3: wedding so and reportedly they cut ties when Blake Lively
- 5:17Speaker 3: involved Taylor Swift and the Justin Baldoni case.
- 5:20Speaker 2: The Super Bowl was around the same time that all
- 5:22Speaker 2: this stuff was going on. So I'll s all, I'm.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Gonna say it's a rumor, but it sounds like a
- 5:29Speaker 3: pretty accurate one.
- 5:30Speaker 2: That's Oh my gosh, that's a lot.
- 5:32Speaker 3: That's three things you need to know more. At the
- 5:35Speaker 3: Alabama Show dot com.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show me.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Good morning, Sarah. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:43Speaker 2: I asked our.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Wedding photographer to delete a photo from our gallery that
- 5:48Speaker 6: my mother in law wanted.
- 5:49Speaker 2: That's why we do ask Alabama. If you ever have
- 5:51Speaker 2: an issue in laws, dating.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Relationship problems, we do our best to.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Help you out.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Eight three three eight five O one Bama is the
- 5:58Speaker 3: number to call the show. What was the photo that
- 6:01Speaker 3: your mother in law requested and why did.
- 6:03Speaker 2: You ask your photographer to take it? Out of the
- 6:05Speaker 2: wedding gallery.
- 6:06Speaker 6: Well, my husband and I recently got married, and there's
- 6:10Speaker 6: always been a little tension between me and his family.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I feel like his mother just tolerates me, okay, like me.
- 6:17Speaker 2: So my husband and.
- 6:19Speaker 6: I we had several conversations about photos on our wedding
- 6:21Speaker 6: day and any formal family photos would include us both.
- 6:26Speaker 2: That's what we agreed on.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Yeah, because you're getting married, you're a family now, that
- 6:29Speaker 3: makes sense.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Yeah, And so we took photos with my family and
- 6:33Speaker 6: my husband was included, of course, because that's what we
- 6:35Speaker 6: agreed on, and then we plan to take photos with
- 6:38Speaker 6: his family and I would be included. We made sure
- 6:41Speaker 6: to let our photographer know to not take any formal
- 6:45Speaker 6: family photos without either one of us.
- 6:47Speaker 2: We were very explicit about that. Yeah.
- 6:49Speaker 6: So I went inside to get a drink really quickly,
- 6:52Speaker 6: and in that small amount of time, my mother in
- 6:55Speaker 6: law had the photographer take the photo that we specifically
- 6:58Speaker 6: did not.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Want in it.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I would be so mad. Yes, it's like she just
- 7:04Speaker 2: took her opportunity.
- 7:06Speaker 6: So fast forward to the photos coming in and now
- 7:09Speaker 6: my mother in law is hounding my husband and I
- 7:12Speaker 6: for that photo of her with her kids and me excluded,
- 7:15Speaker 6: so like you're not part of her family exactly, Like
- 7:19Speaker 6: that's the only photo that she wanted, So what'd you do?
- 7:22Speaker 6: I mean, after she asked for it, I called the
- 7:25Speaker 6: photographer and I had the photo removed from the online gallery.
- 7:28Speaker 2: How does your mother in law feel about that? I
- 7:30Speaker 2: don't know if she knows yet, Like I don't. She
- 7:32Speaker 2: probably trying to figure out where it is.
- 7:34Speaker 6: I'm just I'm not saying that my husband can never
- 7:36Speaker 6: take a photo with his family.
- 7:38Speaker 2: That's not the problem. It's just for our wedding gallery.
- 7:41Speaker 6: This represents the exact dynamic that has made me feel.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Excluded for years?
- 7:46Speaker 2: Absolutely, am I is that wrong?
- 7:48Speaker 5: OO?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Call the show?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Eight three thirty five I one Beama is the number?
- 7:52Speaker 3: Have you ever had to get in an argument with your.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Family at your wedding over the photos?
- 7:59Speaker 3: Like what photos were taken and who was in the photos?
- 8:02Speaker 3: Because I'm sure there is some drama. I mean there's
- 8:05Speaker 3: always drama at weddings. Eight three three five oh one
- 8:08Speaker 3: BAMA is the number? That's eight three three five oh
- 8:10Speaker 3: one two two six two.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Sarah just called the show.
- 8:16Speaker 3: She's upset that her mother in law took a photo
- 8:19Speaker 3: with the groom and his siblings and left.
- 8:21Speaker 2: The bride out of the picture. Yeah, that was an
- 8:24Speaker 2: agreement that they didn't want to do. And call the
- 8:27Speaker 2: show eight three three five oh.
- 8:28Speaker 3: One, Bama if you had a mother in law that
- 8:29Speaker 3: kind of took over your wedding. But we just had
- 8:32Speaker 3: a comment on TikTok Live and you can join us
- 8:35Speaker 3: on TikTok Live. Go follow Alabama Radio that said, it's
- 8:38Speaker 3: too hard to take her out of the photo.
- 8:39Speaker 2: When they get divorced, she needs to chill. The mother
- 8:43Speaker 2: in law's already planning for the divorce.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You know what.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I still I would go on the side of her.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I mean, she wants what she wants.
- 8:51Speaker 4: It's her wedding.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I know they paid for the photographer. I agree, But
- 8:54Speaker 2: I'm saying the mother in law is doing that because
- 8:56Speaker 2: she thinks they'll get a divorce. She's open.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Yeah, she does not like called the show eight three
- 9:01Speaker 3: three five oh one two two sixty two.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Eight three three five I one, Bama is the number
- 9:09Speaker 3: to call this show.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Findley, Good morning. Where are you calling from?
- 9:13Speaker 5: I'm calling from Montavallo, Alabama.
- 9:15Speaker 2: House traffic in monta Vallo today. Are you driving?
- 9:17Speaker 5: I'm not. I'm in my house right now. I heard
- 9:20Speaker 5: about the mom who took a picture.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Yes, what do you say?
- 9:24Speaker 5: Okay, she's pissing me off on a number level.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Okay, tell me more so.
- 9:29Speaker 5: First of all, it's her wedding. Why is her mother
- 9:32Speaker 5: in law trying to butt in I know on her photos?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Second of all, like this is this is her special
- 9:40Speaker 5: day and she's trying to sabotage it.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Finley, are you married?
- 9:43Speaker 5: I'm not. Okay, I'm thirteen.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Oh well, you definitely thirteen year old. Finley'll never get married.
- 9:58Speaker 5: I'm fourteen years old. I turned fourteen couple days ago.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Untill getting used to it.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Okay, even better. I love you, Finley, finnlank you so much.
- 10:08Speaker 5: I love y'all too.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Wait wait, wait, do you go back to school this week?
- 10:11Speaker 2: What grade are you going into?
- 10:13Speaker 5: I'm going into ninth and I'm homeschool.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Okay, Well keep that attitude when your mom gives you
- 10:19Speaker 3: homework on the first day of school.
- 10:21Speaker 5: Okay, alrighty, thank you.
- 10:23Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama
- 10:26Speaker 1: Shall If you're wondering is the black bear in Alabama.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Safe State Wildlife officials have way in and they say, yes,
- 10:33Speaker 3: if you miss it, there's a black bear going all
- 10:35Speaker 3: over Shelby County. It's been seen in people's backyards at
- 10:38Speaker 3: the library along Too eighty.
- 10:40Speaker 2: It is now named Shelby.
- 10:42Speaker 3: The wildlife people say during the late spring and summer,
- 10:46Speaker 3: young black bears disperse, so it's completely normal and natural
- 10:49Speaker 3: to see bears in areas that you've never seen them before.
- 10:52Speaker 3: There's probably less than five hundred bears in the state.
- 10:55Speaker 3: If you see a bear, do not approach it. Make
- 10:58Speaker 3: sure it sees you. Clap your hands, wave your arms, yell,
- 11:02Speaker 3: be big, but only do.
- 11:03Speaker 2: That if the bear has a way to escape.
- 11:05Speaker 3: If you corner the bear, then it's coming after you,
- 11:07Speaker 3: So don't corner the bear.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Just stay away from the bear.
- 11:11Speaker 3: DoorDash launched its own drone delivery service after having received
- 11:15Speaker 3: FAA certification to operate as a commercial air carrier. DoorDash
- 11:19Speaker 3: has its new inhouse drone delivery program called DoorDash Air.
- 11:23Speaker 3: The drones are going to work alongside regular door Diash
- 11:26Speaker 3: drivers to speed up deliveries of stuff like meals, groceries,
- 11:29Speaker 3: and everyday essentials. They are planning to gradually expand the
- 11:32Speaker 3: service as part of its broader network of delivery options
- 11:34Speaker 3: because nobody wants to be a DoorDash driver now because
- 11:37Speaker 3: gas costs too much. And Apple has a new leasing
- 11:41Speaker 3: option with Apple Upgrade. It lets customers pay monthly for
- 11:45Speaker 3: devices like phones, iPads Max and Apple Watches instead of
- 11:49Speaker 3: buying them outright. So if you've wanted a MacBook or
- 11:52Speaker 3: an iPad or something.
- 11:53Speaker 2: That's I like that plan.
- 11:54Speaker 3: At the end of the lease, you can return the
- 11:56Speaker 3: device and upgrade it to a newer model, or buy
- 11:59Speaker 3: it with a fine payment, but during the least term,
- 12:01Speaker 3: you won't actually own it. This new option replaces the
- 12:04Speaker 3: iPhone Upgrade program, and you have options from twelve months
- 12:08Speaker 3: to thirty six months.
- 12:09Speaker 2: So now's the time.
- 12:09Speaker 3: If you've ever wanted to make both for an Apple computer,
- 12:13Speaker 3: go lease it. And that is three things you need
- 12:15Speaker 3: to know more at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show. The following program is
- 12:23Speaker 1: on demand.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Eight three three five O Widebama is the number to.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Call the show if you have good news or if
- 12:28Speaker 3: your kids are starting school this week.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Brittany, good morning.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I have kids start in school this week?
- 12:35Speaker 2: What grade are they starting?
- 12:37Speaker 1: Freshman?
- 12:38Speaker 3: Sits great.
- 12:41Speaker 2: And pre k woo.
- 12:45Speaker 3: So does that mean all the kids are in school
- 12:47Speaker 3: and you get a little bit of free time to yourself.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yes, that's even better. What school district.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Are they in Winston County?
- 12:58Speaker 2: That is awesome? Any congratulations?

- 13:31Speaker 3: audience to play games. You can win all kinds of
- 13:33Speaker 3: cool prizes, all kinds of stuff. One of the things
- 13:36Speaker 3: I was planning on doing was bringing back Wheel of
- 13:38Speaker 3: Pumpkin because it's close to the time that pumpkin spice
- 13:41Speaker 3: stuff gets released.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I went to.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Several stores this weekend. No pumpkin spice stuff is out.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I'm so thankful.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Sometimes I was gonna make you do that on stage.
- 13:52Speaker 3: So now I'm just gonna have to do good old fashioned.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Wheel of torture.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Well, I think that the will of torture is way
- 13:58Speaker 4: better than the will of pumpkin.
- 13:59Speaker 3: I'll be honest with you, I have no idea what
- 14:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna do, but we'll figure it out.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Well, you only got a couple of days.

- 15:15Speaker 3: Yes, and remember a few weeks ago we opened it
