• 0:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Aside vagabonds on snake-elean trails, nights render these stories a wrenchid from their vails.
• 0:28

• 1:29
[SPEAKER_00]: How do you like that?
• 1:30
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you know this, but this will be the longest time I've ever gotten to be a player in any campaign of anything ever.
• 1:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: Whoa.
• 1:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's like actually not even close.
• 1:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: fantastic.
• 1:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you, um, I'm excited for that.
• 1:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited that you get to live in a player for a while that are living a character for a while.
• 1:50
  [SPEAKER_00]: That'll be great.
• 1:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
• 1:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's weird.
• 1:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Next up, she is another founding quarter of many sighted media.
• 1:56
[SPEAKER_00]: You know her as Geraldine in Perils and Princesses, Summer Boggs, in Slugblaster, Maria James in orbital blues.
• 2:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, in so many more beloved characters than that, it's Abby Hepworth.
• 2:07
  [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god, hi.
• 2:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: Hello.
• 2:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Funny running me into you here.
• 2:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, you go here.
• 2:15
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
• 2:16
  [SPEAKER_03]: That's so crazy.
• 2:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Excited to be a knight.
• 2:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited for you to be a knight.
• 2:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very excited to see what chaos you rot on me.
• 2:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Rot?
• 2:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
• 2:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
• 2:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
• 2:28
[SPEAKER_00]: The presence of rot is.
• 2:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
• 2:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's present tense.
• 2:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: Are ringing?
• 2:33
  [SPEAKER_02]: Rot.
• 2:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: Ringing?
• 2:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: Rot?
• 2:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
• 2:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Written?
• 2:37
  [SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it's red.
• 2:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Plus, we have two returning voices to the show.
• 2:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Since we last saw her, she's been touring all across the nation performing on stage with the 20-sided tavern.
• 2:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
• 2:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You know her from our show as Faye Falcone on our holiday special, playing hometown holiday.
• 2:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's Jasmine Malave.
• 2:57
  [SPEAKER_04]: Hi, everybody.
• 2:59
[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks for the day, welcome back.
• 3:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So excited to have you back.
• 3:03
[SPEAKER_04]: I know, I'm so hyped to play over like generations.
• 3:06
  [SPEAKER_04]: Let's go.
• 3:07
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a hack.
• 3:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: Go.
• 3:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And last, but certainly not least, he is an actual play producer and performer known for shows like Beyond the Brook and many other amazing incredible series, but you might know them as Kane from Paint the Town Red, Enoch from our Dye series, or the infamous
• 3:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: Hi, I'm back.
• 3:35
[SPEAKER_00]: It is so good to have you back.
• 3:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to see what character you throw at me this time.
• 3:40
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be such a delight.
• 3:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm so excited.
• 3:43
[SPEAKER_01]: The moment this is pitch, she feels like, yes, I'm in for the sleep you play.
• 3:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just, yes, ever.
• 3:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And that dear listener is our dramatis persona, the cast that will be joining us this season.
• 3:57
[SPEAKER_00]: But behind the scenes, we have a very special someone.
• 3:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Our producer this season is our very own Shenukh to Sarah.
• 4:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: We love you.
• 4:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: We cherish you.
• 4:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And we thank you for having all of our backs as we head into the
• 4:10
  [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Shemu.
• 4:11
  [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Shemu.
• 4:14
  [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Shemu.
• 4:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: We love you.
• 4:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: I love you.
• 4:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, you guys want to get ready for a game of mythic bashing land?
• 4:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: Hell yeah.
• 4:21
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, please.
• 4:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 4:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: Hell yeah.
• 4:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 4:27
[SPEAKER_00]: So the best place to begin is at the beginning and where this game tells us to begin is with start and scope.
• 4:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So mythic bastion land is a game that can span a lot of different scales of time and tone.
• 4:40
[SPEAKER_00]: The game has a few options when it comes to where we start and what the scope is.
• 4:45
[SPEAKER_00]: The starting options are wanderer, courteer, and ruler.
• 4:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Wanders being young, night, errands.
• 4:52
[SPEAKER_00]: courtiers being mature night gallants and rulers being mature night tenants.
• 4:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I know we had a bit of an off mic discussion about how we want to do this, but is everyone still down for starting with the wander starting as young night errands?
• 5:05
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
• 5:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think so.
• 5:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: Sick.
• 5:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: Sick.
• 5:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Brian, do you have a hesitation?
• 5:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to be an old guy?
• 5:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to be an old guy?
• 5:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to be an old guy?
• 5:13
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be a little part of it.
• 5:14
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be an old guy.
• 5:15
  [SPEAKER_04]: But here's the thing.
• 5:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Brian, I have to have the same feeling.
• 5:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you are a head of the same thing.
• 5:20
[SPEAKER_03]: We just have one mentor.
• 5:22
[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say you could always play a guy who had a late-in-life career shift.
• 5:28
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's true.
• 5:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say old guy has been a night for very long.
• 5:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Not a parent but old guy.
• 5:35
  [SPEAKER_03]: It's a very old dude.
• 5:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 5:38
[SPEAKER_03]: You always read for yourself.
• 5:40
  [SPEAKER_03]: It's never too late.
• 5:42
[SPEAKER_00]: frankly I'm down I'm down we can we can lock that in when we once you've like rolled your stuff and decided on a vibe for your character but let's say we're going to be young in our careers but not necessarily young in age.
• 5:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay cool.
• 5:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: Sound great.
• 5:57
  [SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
• 5:58
[SPEAKER_00]: The other choice that we make at the start is scope.
• 6:01
[SPEAKER_00]: This is also a little bit dictated by the set plan we have for the season, so the options though for people listening at home are an adventure, just one session, a chronicle, a no number of sessions, and a saga where you sort of just let the game carry you across an indeterminate number.
• 6:17
[SPEAKER_00]: We of course have a set plan for 10 sessions, so we're going to be doing a chronicle.
• 6:22
[SPEAKER_02]: And let's see if we stick to that ten sessions because every time on the show we claim to have a number of sessions, it inflates by at least two.
• 6:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, that's not true really, it's always hit the mark.
• 6:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Elliot has always hit the mark.
• 6:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I hit the mark and while every time.
• 6:37
  [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't know that.
• 6:38
[SPEAKER_04]: That feels like a challenge.
• 6:39
[SPEAKER_04]: You should not hold me.
• 6:42
[SPEAKER_00]: A challenge in which way are you going to try it?
• 6:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Was it neat past a limit or were you going to try it?
• 6:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: Past a limit.
• 6:47
[SPEAKER_04]: Past the expected limit past.
• 6:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Jasmine, Jasmine, you've drawn lines in the sand early.
• 6:53
  [SPEAKER_04]: 18 episodes.
• 6:57
  [SPEAKER_04]: And a movie.
• 6:58
  [SPEAKER_04]: And a movie.
• 7:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I also didn't know how much I wanted the word chronicle to be involved in this game.
• 7:06
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
• 7:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Chronicles the word that feels so epic.
• 7:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Chronicles saga, I really like.
• 7:11
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 7:12
  [SPEAKER_01]: Like it feels right.
• 7:13
[SPEAKER_00]: They're a capitalized words in this game that are just so juicy as just on their own.
• 7:18
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just full of good words.
• 7:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, worried.
• 7:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, one of those words is glory.
• 7:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's the first thing we're going to put on your character sheet.
• 7:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Wow, segway.
• 7:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so because you are all night errands, um, because your night errands and not, um, beyond that, a night errand has zero glory.
• 7:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So the first thing to put onto your character sheets, or I should say, our beautiful character keeper that drag track down for us, uh, drag who's this character keeper by that we can shout out.
• 7:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this character keeps us by GOMAC.
• 7:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's pronounced G-A-A-M-A-C. Found him when I found it on Reddit.
• 7:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Sully edited the version we're using, but the bones have made by them.
• 7:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So, well, LinkedIn, the show notes.
• 8:00
[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to use a little online character keeper this thing, slaps.
• 8:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah gang the first thing you're gonna put on your character sheet is a big old goose egg on glory you haven't earned any glory yet I'm so sorry to tell you Dang it that's just not possible good thing it's so glorious now.
• 8:15
  [SPEAKER_00]: I know what you're thinking.
• 8:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: What is glory?
• 8:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: Why do I care?
• 8:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: What is that matter?
• 8:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: All nights see glory.
• 8:22
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a this is like one of your stats.
• 8:24
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a measure of your worthiness as a night.
• 8:27
[SPEAKER_00]: So you will gain glory through a few different means throughout play and I'll remind you of these when they come up, but you gain one glory whenever you
• 8:35
[SPEAKER_00]: feel a myth has been resolved in some kind of way.
• 8:38
[SPEAKER_00]: You also can stake glory in a public duel or jouse, so you can kind of stake your glory against another night.
• 8:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And then if there are battles of a large enough scale to be remembered in history, the winning side always gains one glory as well.
• 8:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And then finally, when we move to a new age, which we will be talking about time skips in a bit here, you also gain one glory by maneuvering and working for the court.
• 9:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: Sound good.
• 9:04
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, tell you.
• 9:06
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
• 9:08
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why, but I just had flashes of Carolyn Page trying to like Min Max for for whatever was this like blaster.
• 9:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh style for a crew style for first.
• 9:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Min Maxing for style so that we could get all the way to.
• 9:23
[SPEAKER_03]: If you think that I'm not just going to be challenging ever to beat to a duel just to increase my
• 9:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of the, to, to, to preview what you might get excited about for Erding Glory.
• 9:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Zero Glory is what you are, Knight-Arent, which says worthy of leading a war band.
• 9:43
[SPEAKER_00]: But once you get higher to, for example, six glory, you are worthy of ruling a holding, which is like a, a, a, a dwelling somewhere in the map that you can kind of have a seat of power and people who work for you.
• 9:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And then at 12 glory as a Knight radiant, you become worthy of the city quest.
• 10:01
  [SPEAKER_00]: Why?
• 10:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I will be surprised if we reach the city quest, even in ten sessions.
• 10:07
[SPEAKER_04]: Shall it be a challenge?
• 10:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Brian's just going to be dual maxing.
• 10:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Amy, you mean he's going to do me?
• 10:16
  [SPEAKER_01]: Deal, bye.
• 10:17
  [SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
• 10:18
[SPEAKER_01]: An old man challenging everyone they see to find.
• 10:21
  [SPEAKER_04]: Or a farming.
• 10:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Hell yeah, so before we get into a little bit more specifics on the game, we're gonna do a quick safety check-in safety tool check-in because we like being safe We like having fun around here.
• 10:36
[SPEAKER_00]: We here at my first dungeon use a couple different safety tools We use lines and fails our lines and veils as I think it was Danielle Redford on parals and princesses said I'll take the standard deduction, which is very funny
• 10:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I think like, generally are go to the standard deduction.
• 10:53
[SPEAKER_00]: We tend to not approach any sort of forms of bigotry and nothing in like, you know, specific kinds of like sexual violence things like that.
• 11:00
[SPEAKER_00]: We want to have fun.
• 11:01
[SPEAKER_00]: We want to make sure we're not crossing any ones boundaries.
• 11:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I know a couple lines we added in pre-production are specific kinds of violence.
• 11:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So this game does get violent.
• 11:11
[SPEAKER_00]: There will be combat, weaponry, it'll be close quarters.
• 11:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But we're going to stick away from details around eye violence.
• 11:18
[SPEAKER_00]: and me violence and remind me if there was any others think that was everything I think that was everything.
• 11:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Are there any other broad lines or veils anyone would like to add to our sort of standard deduction?
• 11:33
[SPEAKER_03]: feel like one we usually do, but I'll just like bump it back up is in the same way of like I recognize this is a violent game, so like violence with animals and things is possible and reading through some of the nights like I know that that's part of game or whatever, but it's so we don't need to get into a ton of specifics if people are cool with that.
• 11:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, so we'll kind of bail that yeah, and then you know, I think often when most of the time when animals come up They'll be pretty monstrous so that great toes that line, but but total here you I am like Totally of the when like there are dog enemies in a video game.
• 12:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, please don't put the sound
• 12:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh yeah, you know, I friend of mine was talking about I think far cry six and Panic's a whole level with your just shooting dogs Who made that awful?
• 12:26
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 12:27
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to know
• 12:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, geez.
• 12:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're not going to do that here.
• 12:34
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no episode like that.
• 12:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Abby, I did have, I did have a question just kind of like going down that that route a little bit just because one of the things that every night has in this game.
• 12:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I know is like a horse as speed.
• 12:46
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 12:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Our horses and steeds in this game are going to be like plot armor protected or if something has them, it's just like you just want to see that off screen rather than being.
• 12:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, Elliot, how much of the game is like, uh, like when I go into battle with my steed, they can take your chance.
• 13:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Your course has vigor that would be tracked.
• 13:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so your horse can die.
• 13:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I, again, I think it's, it's part of the game and I think it's totally fine as long as you're not getting super graphic and descriptions of like the specifics of what happens if it's like your horse takes an injury or your steaks work.
• 13:23
[SPEAKER_03]: You're steaks not looking too hot.
• 13:25
  [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, cool.
• 13:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, but if it's getting really specific, that's a thing.
• 13:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I will also, um, if need be jump in and say, like,
• 13:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: That makes sense.
• 13:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And good call out, Brian.
• 13:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll call that a veil with check-ins on, and, you know, Abby, you know, the X card.
• 13:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my God, the X card or other safety tools.
• 13:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: The same thing.
• 13:49
[SPEAKER_00]: That is always present at our table.
• 13:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm crushing these segues today.
• 13:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think we're talking about it.
• 13:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Means I'm crushing them even more.
• 13:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 13:57
[SPEAKER_02]: I think you might just be describing conversation.
• 13:59
  [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no.
• 14:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So the X card is always present at my first dungeon tables.
• 14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: You can type an X in chat.
• 14:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You can message an X in private to me or Shenuk or you can just say X. I want to X that.
• 14:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't like that.
• 14:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: Stop it.
• 14:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And we can stop it and we can adjust the play.
• 14:21
[SPEAKER_00]: We can keep that on-mic if it makes sense too.
• 14:23
[SPEAKER_00]: We can keep that completely off-mic in a just play, if we need to.
• 14:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And finally, as always, safety is an ongoing conversation.
• 14:31
[SPEAKER_00]: If you throughout play realize that you had a line, you didn't know you did, that's totally fine, and you can bring it up in the moment.
• 14:38
[SPEAKER_00]: We have all played together in different combinations.
• 14:41
[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't played together in this combination, but just know that if you got to stop
• 14:48
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, excellent.
• 14:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I do have one other safety thing.
• 14:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like preference like I would prefer if we didn't at any point like demonize like drug addiction.
• 15:01
  [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
• 15:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm finding people being like like a holiday sort of addicted to drugs, but I would rather it not be.
• 15:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd rather it not be okay for them to be demonized.
• 15:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm fine with that being people you demonize them and we're like, you're a bad person for doing that.
• 15:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Like as a society in this world, we agree that it's bad to do that.
• 15:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I would rather our world not be okay with demonizing.
• 15:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, God.
• 15:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
• 15:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Totally.
• 15:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm with that.
• 15:29
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the reason someone, it's not enforcing someone being bad and not like we don't make just like addict bad as an association.
• 15:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Totally.
• 15:40
[SPEAKER_00]: The other one that I would add is that I am fine with suicide as a concept.
• 15:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I would prefer not any details if that comes up in anybody's story.
• 15:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: Sounds good.
• 15:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 15:53
  [SPEAKER_01]: Sounds good.
• 15:53
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 15:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
• 15:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
• 15:55
[SPEAKER_00]: We got the tough stuff out of the way.
• 15:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I want to hear the other half of the safety conversation, which is what are your hell-yas?
• 16:01
[SPEAKER_00]: What are the things that you want me to ramp up?
• 16:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And add lots of into the story, knowing some of the vibes of the kind of story we're
• 16:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: have.
• 16:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to fight huge stuff.
• 16:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to fight like things that are dwarf us, like on an unreal level.
• 16:18
  [SPEAKER_01]: How are you?
• 16:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Minimum one shadow of the classes level.
• 16:21
  [SPEAKER_01]: Let's see that.
• 16:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I want to take out of the classes.
• 16:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: I want that.
• 16:25
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'll second that.
• 16:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sick.
• 16:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: I love giant stuff.
• 16:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: So, please.
• 16:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, another thing we'd mention, like, off my prepping for this is just I'm really excited and super interested in the, like, age, like the passage of time and so jumping through time and doing things.
• 16:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, is a thing I'm really excited to it's like not been a part of a game that I've ever really played before, so I'm I'm eager to see how that feels.
• 16:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I feel like so many of the games we've played have been, like, kind of minute to minute, like, like, if there's timescups, it's, like, hours or maybe days, I'm excited to have that, like, let's skip years, let's skip months, let's skip years, let's skip decades, and see, like, the, the small moves that we make, how those, like, ripple out.
• 17:16
[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like that's just, like, a fun space of imagination we haven't gotten to play in yet of, like, how the little choice will become world shaping events, or at least, like,
• 17:26
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm also really excited to play through the juxtaposition of like this found family and camaraderie of the group and the realities of the fighting and the conflicts and the horrors that exist.
• 17:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I really want
• 17:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the system's definitely okay.
• 17:47
[SPEAKER_01]: So this, but I really want someone dying or killing someone to be like an important thing.
• 17:52
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 17:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I play a lot of D&D when we're like, we just killed a goblin.
• 17:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: Let's move on.
• 17:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what if you're like, are we just killed someone?
• 18:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, are we okay with this?
• 18:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I would like that to have some weight in this game.
• 18:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like this definitely cater to that, but yeah, onto the very least bring that up.
• 18:10
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to remember what, I think it was a show or something, but it's somebody realizing that all of the stormtroopers are people, not robots, and they're like, I'm sorry, you're telling me the good guys blew up.
• 18:27
  [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
• 18:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that robots and like, having to reckon with that and like, yeah, having like real deep consequences or just like,
• 18:40
[SPEAKER_02]: I think we were talking about this in our like kind of off-mic pre-production meeting.
• 18:43
[SPEAKER_02]: And this might have come up in the interview with Chris McDowell as well, but Drac, I know you've been, because I think you turned me on to this show.
• 18:50
[SPEAKER_02]: I've been watching a lot of freer and beyond journeys end, and so much of that is like, it starts at the end of a campaign, and then it's like,
• 18:57
[SPEAKER_02]: and elf reckoning with the loss of her party and like I love the idea that like people's lives have these like long-standing ripples and we kind of you know the further we get from someone's life we start to see smaller and like more fragmented peat.
• 19:13
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know just like the distance of time is so exciting in this game.
• 19:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really excited to see like you know in episode one we see someone and then 50 years later we see like a statue of that person.
• 19:25
[SPEAKER_02]: And like what that means because like we were actually there versus all these people who just now see a statue that has like, you know, vines all over it.
• 19:33
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 19:33
[SPEAKER_04]: And the warping of a person's story.
• 19:35
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, 100%.
• 19:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so happy because you guys are drilling down on all sorts of themes that I wanted to explore.
• 19:43
[SPEAKER_00]: The next the next point of conversation I wanted to bring up was themes that I'm interested in and past that to themes that y'all are interested in.
• 19:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, I'll jump right into that and like feel free to keep shouting out Hellyes as they come up like throughout play and throughout session zero, but theme wise, the things that I'm really excited about with exploring in this game are like, what does it mean to be a night?
• 20:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Like what does that kind of, um, this Jasmine this thing you just brought up of like the line between legend and reality, how does your story actually happen and how does it get told over time?
• 20:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: Love that?
• 20:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm also curious about this idea of like protecting a land that is not your home, like trying to like become welcome in a land that you're protecting because canonically in mythic fashion land, you arrive to this realm from a different realm at the start.
• 20:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the themes I'm really interested in.
• 20:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be curious if there are any like big thematic questions that this game makes y'all interested in exploring.
• 20:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is probably more of a hell yeah, I guess, or maybe it's a combination of both, but like, I really want to explore why I don't think that the mystic side of it all of why, how do you see as a why do you see as one of these things, why do you see as pick us as these nights.
• 21:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if there's some, if or maybe there isn't, but some like greater meaning behind the choices, they made behind the night state picked.
• 21:15
[SPEAKER_01]: That interests me a lot.
• 21:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know if that's like a hell you or a theme or kind of part-way, half way of both, but that seems really interesting to me.
• 21:26
[SPEAKER_02]: don't love that piggyback and off of that.
• 21:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: We got it.
• 21:29
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if the three, if the oath is seek the myths onto the sears and protect the realm, boy, how do I want to meet some weird ass sears?
• 21:37
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I want to be here.
• 21:40
[SPEAKER_03]: They are such freaks and I want a spin-off game where I
• 21:52
[SPEAKER_04]: And also with that, questioning the things they ask us to do, possibly.
• 21:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, totally.
• 21:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: I love a question to authority.
• 22:01
[SPEAKER_00]: That's just, that always gets me.
• 22:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's more of a hell of you, but I love some dream shenanigans.
• 22:08
  [SPEAKER_03]: And I didn't know I needed that, but I do.
• 22:12
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
• 22:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I love that kind of stuff.
• 22:15
  [SPEAKER_02]: cool.
• 22:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Brian, you had something?
• 22:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I think, especially with, like, glory being such a thing and, you know, looking at the oath of, like, seeking the myths on the sea, is protecting the realm.
• 22:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I think an element of kind of, like, the import, I think we, we kind of mentioned touch on this before, but like, the importance of legacy.
• 22:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And like what that is worth to each person and what that's like how you want to maintain and protect your own legacy and also how you might want to maintain and protect someone else's I think is interesting especially with the time element that we're playing with.
• 22:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So how, yeah, that's, oh, so much juicy, juicy stuff to sink our teeth into.
• 22:56
[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to have so much fun stuff to play with, Elliot.
• 22:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, yeah, I was just like, I was telling Shenu like that this is going to be so player driven, I think in a fun way, like as a hex crawl and as like, like a long time span in story, I just didn't very excited for the stuff y'all are already bringing to it.
• 23:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Two more quick calibration things I want to do and then we can get into making our nights.
• 23:19
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all
• 23:47
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like jumping without finishing is fun, but yeah.
• 23:51
[SPEAKER_04]: Unless we were literally in the middle of something, I don't see why not.
• 23:55
  [SPEAKER_04]: Cool.
• 23:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm fine with that.
• 23:57
  [SPEAKER_02]: I like that idea.
• 23:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm definitely interested in at least once having a time jump where like I can't I think there is something really satisfying about like every now and then having an unsatisfying time jump.
• 24:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, of you don't get to see the thing you want to see, but you only get to see the outcome of it and then get to like infer what happened a little bit.
• 24:19
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that yeah, you know what I think of that there's a fun bit at the dimension 20 did for their junior year season and they opened with like they were in the middle of a combat and there were a bunch of like NPCs that we had not met but the players pretended they had.
• 24:35
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it was just like the fun, you just hear a guy named squeam and then people keep getting to make you know little jokes that infer some kind of backstory that never existed.
• 24:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Right where you're like, who is this at the players like you remember?
• 24:49
  [SPEAKER_01]: You remember squint.
• 24:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was just related to that.
• 24:53
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's maybe the check-in is more of a, like, is it important to me to be able to explain something that would have happened, you know, offscreen, or is it something where it's like, the listener can, I guess, kind of choose or infer, based on what's happened in now.
• 25:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think especially with the zoom in zoom out nature of this game, I think it'll be interesting and exciting to do that.
• 25:23
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and then right before we make these characters right before you get so excited about them.
• 25:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Characters are want to potentially die in mythic bastion land and I just want to do a quick quick check that that kill me.
• 25:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so down with that.
• 25:41
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah, I roll so bad notoriously.
• 25:44
[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm looking forward to a lot of characters.
• 25:47
  [SPEAKER_01]: I I wrote
• 25:54
  [SPEAKER_01]: I read a situation, you're just pretty bad, I'm a cat decoration, I'm pretty good.
• 26:00
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see how long what beats what my roles endgame were in my roles before the game.
• 26:06
[SPEAKER_03]: I do feel like my thing always with games is I'm like, but I want to play.
• 26:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so it's just a hard time choosing.
• 26:13
[SPEAKER_03]: from the options, and I'm like, I want to play a thousand different characters, and I'm like, that's part of this game.
• 26:18
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
• 26:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So you have 72 options.
• 26:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're going to play a lot more.
• 26:23
  [SPEAKER_01]: That's why it's in me.
• 26:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: 72 is college.
• 26:26
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm so impressed.
• 26:26
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm proud of you.
• 26:29
  [SPEAKER_03]: 72 divided by four.
• 26:30
[SPEAKER_03]: How many deaths would we each have to have?
• 26:33
[SPEAKER_03]: I think we can do it.
• 26:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I think we can do it.
• 26:37
[SPEAKER_04]: Are we cool with having two of the same type of night?
• 26:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna ask the same question.
• 26:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It recommends not doing so.
• 26:44
[SPEAKER_00]: If that is interesting to y'all, I'm open to trying it.
• 26:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It just does have a recommendation to not do that because it's kind of a station in addition to a class.
• 26:52
[SPEAKER_00]: But we could find a way, if two of you roll the same and you're both really attached to it, I think we could do some fun tweaking of what you're actually called.
• 27:01
[SPEAKER_00]: There's something if you can touch to it.
• 27:04
[SPEAKER_03]: There's a weird rivalry where you're like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
• 27:07
[SPEAKER_03]: But who do that talk about?
• 27:09
[SPEAKER_03]: We're like, you're both trying to suck up to the sear because you're like, no, no, but which one of us at the real watch?
• 27:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Who do you doubt first?
• 27:18
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I do really, especially with like, how many nights there are?
• 27:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I just want to kind of treat this like a one shot and just drive every character like I stole it.
• 27:29
[SPEAKER_00]: In the hopes of like, let's get them off a couple of times and keep going in.
• 27:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it'll be, I think it'll be cool.
• 27:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: Hell yeah.
• 27:36
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's get into it.
• 27:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So, you four are knights, united by a common oath and visions of the city.
• 27:44
[SPEAKER_00]: You may have dreams of glory, but every night must accept the risk of death.
• 27:48
[SPEAKER_00]: The Sears, who knighted you, have deemed that you travel as a company.
• 27:52
[SPEAKER_00]: While some of you may rest Roma die, your collective journey will be as one.
• 27:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Knights have three virtues, and we're gonna roll those in order.
• 28:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So because we are starting as night errands, you all will be rolling 1d12 plus 1d6 in each virtue in order which I will hold you to, I think, because that's fun.
• 28:13
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
• 28:14
  [SPEAKER_03]: So it's sorry, a d12.
• 28:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: A D12 plus a D6 for each of your virtues.
• 28:20
[SPEAKER_00]: These virtues are vigor, strong limbs, firm hands, powerful lungs, clarity, keen instinct, lucid mind, shrewd eyes, and spirit, charming tongue, Iron will fierce heart.
• 28:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: Great.
• 28:34
  [SPEAKER_01]: That's a good one.
• 28:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Rollin' pretty mid.
• 28:39
  [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
• 28:40
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm concerned.
• 28:41
  [SPEAKER_02]: Like I said.
• 28:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's really consistent.
• 28:43
[SPEAKER_03]: You're just an average guy.
• 28:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I was really just hoping to see one like 10 or 12 on the D12 and it betrayed me.
• 28:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: No!
• 28:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: Ah!
• 28:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
• 28:54
  [SPEAKER_01]: I wrote...
• 28:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: Scary.
• 28:56
  [SPEAKER_04]: Good.
• 28:57
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yay!
• 28:58
  [SPEAKER_04]: What did that mean?
• 29:00
  [SPEAKER_04]: Why don't we pick?
• 29:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone seems more excited than me.
• 29:07
[SPEAKER_04]: My stats are not good.
• 29:09
  [SPEAKER_04]: I told you I'd roll bad.
• 29:10
[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I want to die, but I also want to be really good.
• 29:14
  [SPEAKER_02]: This is the problem.
• 29:15
[SPEAKER_02]: I've gotten to be a player so few times that I'm like, no, I want my guy to be the best in the coolest, but I'm also like, I want to do like 20 guys.
• 29:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess I'll be the best for that one.
• 29:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're having a little choice for Alice this bit.
• 29:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a little cognitive distance I got to deal with.
• 29:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So, and while you guys are finishing rolling those, I'll tell you a little bit about what these three virtues are for.
• 29:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So, these are kind of your core stats of the game.
• 29:38
[SPEAKER_00]: When you are called to pass a save with one of these virtues, it will be written or I guess it won't be written.
• 29:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I will speak to you.
• 29:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, make a vigor save.
• 29:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, make a clarity save or make a spirit save.
• 29:52
[SPEAKER_00]: When you make one of those saves, you roll a D20 and you are trying to roll under your stat.
• 29:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is a roll under system.
• 29:59
[SPEAKER_00]: If you roll under that is a success.
• 30:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Failure is negative consequences in that world.
• 30:04
[SPEAKER_00]: You'll be making these, for example, when you do feats, which we'll talk about in a little bit.
• 30:08
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's why we have these stats.
• 30:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is the roll under value for a D20 when you're making saves.
• 30:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start with one of the people who said they rolled bad.
• 30:17
[SPEAKER_04]: We're gonna start sort of strong.
• 30:22
  [SPEAKER_04]: My bigger is 10.
• 30:23
  [SPEAKER_04]: Nice.
• 30:24
  [SPEAKER_04]: Straight down the middle.
• 30:25
  [SPEAKER_04]: My clarity is 8.
• 30:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 30:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh wow.
• 30:28
  [SPEAKER_04]: My spirit is 6.
• 30:30
[SPEAKER_04]: I just kept getting worse.
• 30:32
  [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
• 30:33
  [SPEAKER_02]: I take it back.
• 30:34
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm good.
• 30:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
• 30:35
  [SPEAKER_04]: Six with me.
• 30:36
  [SPEAKER_04]: All right.
• 30:36
[SPEAKER_04]: We're doing the worst of that.
• 30:39
  [UNKNOWN]: Oh my god.
• 30:40
  [SPEAKER_04]: I rolled a one on the 12.
• 30:42
  [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you so much.
• 30:43
  [SPEAKER_04]: I told you.
• 30:45
[SPEAKER_04]: You're going to be here.
• 30:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: You're on out.
• 30:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's roll under Jasmine.
• 30:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: So like, no.
• 30:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 30:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, combat's not roll under.
• 30:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: So sorry.
• 30:52
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be the next round.
• 30:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 30:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be your own.
• 30:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 30:55
[SPEAKER_03]: This is where we learned.
• 30:56
[SPEAKER_03]: If you roll low or roll bad.
• 31:00
  [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
• 31:01
  [SPEAKER_04]: Two different things.
• 31:02
  [SPEAKER_04]: That's fun for me.
• 31:04
  [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
• 31:05
  [SPEAKER_02]: I got bigger 10.
• 31:07
  [SPEAKER_02]: Clarity 10.
• 31:09
  [SPEAKER_02]: Spirit 11.
• 31:12
[SPEAKER_02]: You're just going to have those pretty good rolls honestly, I'd say pretty decent pretty decent.
• 31:19
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll bet you that's right around average for the combination of these things.
• 31:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, we can figure it out.
• 31:23
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, maybe night.
• 31:25
  [SPEAKER_02]: But was it 6.5 plus 3.5?
• 31:26
[SPEAKER_02]: It is literally exactly average.
• 31:28
  [SPEAKER_02]: 10 and 10 is the average.
• 31:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Ma.
• 31:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: Ma.
• 31:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, uh, Dragon Abbey, what should you think you rolled better?
• 31:38
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm 100% real good.
• 31:39
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what I'm gonna do.
• 31:41
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 31:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what I'm gonna do.
• 31:44
[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna hold quiet confidence over there.
• 31:46
  [SPEAKER_03]: I don't like it's track, track, world better.
• 31:48
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
• 31:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 31:50
[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna keep going smallest to biggest Abby, hit me with those three steps.
• 31:54
  [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't do so bad.
• 31:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Unlike Jasmine, I just kept getting better.
• 31:59
  [SPEAKER_03]: We did it.
• 32:00
  [SPEAKER_03]: Viggar is 11.
• 32:01
  [SPEAKER_03]: No.
• 32:01
  [SPEAKER_03]: Clarity is 14.
• 32:06
[SPEAKER_03]: and spear it is 17.
• 32:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: Whoa!
• 32:11
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I rolled 12 twice on the D12.
• 32:16
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh man, that's so nice.
• 32:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I was doing pretty okay.
• 32:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And let's hear from our all-star player.
• 32:24
[SPEAKER_01]: The dice, look, this is where my luck ends.
• 32:26
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm over the 17 for Vega.
• 32:29
  [SPEAKER_01]: Holy sh!
• 32:29
  [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
• 32:30
  [SPEAKER_01]: A 16 for clarity.
• 32:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: and a 17th again for Spirit.
• 32:35
  [SPEAKER_01]: What the fuck?
• 32:36
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 32:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I just feel like you have to be our defect a leader now.
• 32:42
  [UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
• 32:42
[SPEAKER_03]: My name is a tiny baby.
• 32:44
  [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why I'm here.
• 32:45
  [SPEAKER_04]: He doesn't love this.
• 32:47
[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's about to be our leader.
• 32:49
[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of the children.
• 32:50
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 32:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and you wanted to.
• 32:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So, in addition to saves the thing, the one score to keep in mind really particularly there is your vigor because after guard, which will roll in a second, your vigor is the score that goes down when you take damage.
• 33:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And if it goes down half, it is a mortal wound, so then you're in danger of dying.
• 33:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So that is vigour is your stat that keeps you alive in addition to a stat you roll saves under.
• 33:20
[SPEAKER_00]: But you can protect yourself from damage with guard, which is the last score we're going to fill in on your sheet.
• 33:26
[SPEAKER_00]: So if everybody could roll just 1d6 for your guard.
• 33:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Real quick question about vigour and mortal wounds.
• 33:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah hit me.
• 33:34
[SPEAKER_03]: You say when you go to half, it's a mortal wound for an odd number.
• 33:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Like for 11 is that when I get to
• 33:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I would say five, I think it'd be in your favor.
• 33:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
• 33:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, like the lower number.
• 33:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
• 33:49
[SPEAKER_03]: So then for guard, you said roll a D6.
• 33:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: A roll a D6 for guard, yes.
• 33:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And guard is your ability to block damage, so an avoid harm.
• 33:59
[SPEAKER_00]: So when you are attacked, the damage is deducted first from your guard, and if you have at least one guard after taking that damage, you fully evade the attack.
• 34:08
  [UNKNOWN]: Ooh.
• 34:09
[SPEAKER_02]: and in guard is you just roll the D6 and you don't have anything just one D6 that's all you know and you don't you don't we're also roll a D12 or roll it again if you get certain numbers no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
• 34:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Brian, would you roll Brian?
• 34:39
  [SPEAKER_02]: I roll to one.
• 34:40
  [SPEAKER_02]: I roll to one.
• 34:42
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh!
• 34:43
[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I'm getting what I want, but then it feels bad.
• 34:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I was just like, it's really good.
• 34:49
  [SPEAKER_03]: There are games.
• 34:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Are you like, yeah, I really hope my character dies, like, session one.
• 34:53
[SPEAKER_03]: And so it's a weird thing where, like, I do want that, but you're fighting against it with all roles where you're like, okay, now it's easier for that to happen, but now I'm bad about it.
• 35:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I wrote a three for three guard, Jasmine.
• 35:11
[SPEAKER_03]: I rolled a five, ooh, very good.
• 35:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And last but not least Abigail?
• 35:18
  [SPEAKER_03]: Also a five.
• 35:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: Also a five.
• 35:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: Damn, Brian.
• 35:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so sorry.
• 35:24
[SPEAKER_04]: I love the fact that you're looking at my stats.
• 35:27
[SPEAKER_04]: The five is not enough separated from like the next I was saying, like it just looks like a little strange that, yeah.
• 35:36
[SPEAKER_00]: So the the the the next thing is the most exciting role of character creation.
• 35:41
[SPEAKER_00]: It is time indeed to roll for your night So it's had to page 26 in the book and you roll 1d6 and then 1d12 and then follow that to the requisite page you will find your night type At least I can't fuck this one up
• 35:59
  [SPEAKER_03]: That's what you think.
• 36:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Somehow I've got the nightlife size in session one.
• 36:04
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how I did it as a thing.
• 36:07
  [SPEAKER_01]: How did that happen?
• 36:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's called the half-ditch.
• 36:09
[SPEAKER_00]: But the night that means you can't play anymore.
• 36:11
  [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
• 36:13
  [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm so excited.
• 36:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So rolling your night gives you a few things.
• 36:18
[SPEAKER_00]: It gives you a property items that your night has with you.
• 36:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Ability, a special talent that is unique to your kind of night.
• 36:25
[SPEAKER_00]: This is usually mechanical in some kind of unique way.
• 36:28
  [SPEAKER_00]: And then a passion.
• 36:29
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a specific quirk that your character is passionate about.
• 36:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is also a way to restore spirit.
• 36:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So those three virtues we talked about can get lost during play, either in combat or you can lose your other virtues by trying something particularly risky related to that virtue or you can spend some of your virtue in order to do something really difficult.
• 36:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Virtue loss can happen a bit narratively.
• 36:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can use that passion to restore your spirit back to full.
• 36:58
[SPEAKER_00]: From there, there are a few things that are the same for every night.
• 37:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Every night has a dagger, a D6 dagger, torches, rope, dry rations, and camping gear, and every night knows the three feats.
• 37:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So, is everyone ready to tell me about their night?
• 37:15
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 37:16
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's start with track, let's start with you.
• 37:20
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I, with my role, I wrote a 4 and a D6 and the 1 and a D12, and I got the rune knight.
• 37:27
[SPEAKER_01]: The little sub, subheading is under gleam of lumin light in skin or stone, a scratch.
• 37:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Strands of fayton-path and veiled, a starry scroll to match.
• 37:38
  [SPEAKER_04]: Hmm, nope.
• 37:39
[SPEAKER_01]: From the looks of this, I think the whole vibe is that I, I don't have a weapon, I have a stone pillar that uses a weapon.
• 37:47
  [SPEAKER_01]: a little describe stuff.
• 37:48
[SPEAKER_03]: How does it go on brand for you?
• 37:50
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 37:52
[SPEAKER_01]: A little in-scaram stone that is 2T-10 as my damaged dye and the slow, which makes sense, you know, I was swinging stone around.
• 37:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I was still a still crystal flask.
• 38:03
[SPEAKER_01]: which there's another random list, another table after Roland to tell what their flash does.
• 38:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Cool, and my steed is a muscular charger, which makes sense, because that's the current me and a stone pillar.
• 38:18
  [SPEAKER_03]: There's a beefy steed.
• 38:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it has to be BBC to carry all of that.
• 38:22
[SPEAKER_01]: My ability is disdain you with sigil, at sunset, at ace cosmic ruin somewhere secret on your person.
• 38:29
[SPEAKER_01]: At ease of number, when a die rolls that number, you may adjust it to any other value on that die.
• 38:35
[SPEAKER_01]: This can be performed a number of times, equal to the chosen number.
• 38:40
[SPEAKER_01]: A different number is chosen next sunset.
• 38:42
  [SPEAKER_01]: That's really cool.
• 38:43
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's really cool.
• 38:44
[SPEAKER_01]: My passion is foresight, restore spirit when your prediction is proven to be correct.
• 38:50
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I need to roll 26 to find of what happens when you shake the flask, or smash the flask.
• 38:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: Nice.
• 38:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And you can keep that secret, if you want.
• 38:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, well, okay.
• 39:00
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to tell us what the flask does.
• 39:01
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, up to you.
• 39:02
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's cool.
• 39:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, yeah.
• 39:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Who's ready to go next?
• 39:06
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got you.
• 39:07
  [SPEAKER_02]: Hit me, Brian.
• 39:08
  [SPEAKER_02]: I rode a three on the D6 and a 12 on the D12.
• 39:11
[SPEAKER_02]: I am the forge knight.
• 39:15
  [SPEAKER_03]: Forged in flames.
• 39:16
  [SPEAKER_02]: Forged in flames.
• 39:18
  [SPEAKER_02]: My little couplet here.
• 39:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Gravit beats on ferrous slab, thick air, a crimson sheen.
• 39:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Each malan stroke leaves scars, a worn apparent and unseen.
• 39:31
[SPEAKER_02]: My property is a number of weapons that I do not fully know how to pronounce.
• 39:37
[SPEAKER_02]: One is a bolt quesarme.
• 39:40
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, of course.
• 39:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Which is a long and melee or slow range detain and also a gambisan.
• 39:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I actually looked that up earlier today.
• 39:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, a gambisan is armed with.
• 39:50
  [SPEAKER_02]: What is it?
• 39:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Because I was like, what is a gambisan?
• 39:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm...
• 39:53
[SPEAKER_03]: it's like a padded armor that would go like under like metal, it's true.
• 40:00
[SPEAKER_03]: In my head, I think of it like a fencing jacket, which is really funny.
• 40:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so I have gamus an and scale armor, so I've got two instances of armor one, so that's gonna help me consider my guard as such.
• 40:13
[SPEAKER_03]: I was like the base, but I swear like, you know what, we fucked you on guard, will.
• 40:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And a real quick mechanical explanation for armor that just reduces incoming damage like point blank armor doesn't get like knock down That's just a reduction on the incoming damage.
• 40:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, which is huge for me right now Like I just weak pretty makes great armor
• 40:36
[SPEAKER_02]: I have scars from the forge, which I'll roll some stuff on a table to see kind of what those scars are and pots of forge dust which spreads irritating gas in the area when broken impairing attacks from within you can also make more anywhere within a forge.
• 40:52
[SPEAKER_02]: I have a helm to feed, which also has armor 1, and my main ability is tempering strike.
• 41:00
[SPEAKER_02]: When you cause a wound with a melee weapon, that weapon receives plus d8 until the end of combat.
• 41:06
  [SPEAKER_02]: This effect can stack.
• 41:08
[SPEAKER_02]: I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it
• 41:35
[SPEAKER_02]: And then I've got a scars from the forged tail where this is unrolled these six on this twice for what is visible, the visible scar and the non-visible scar.
• 41:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Cool, and it's same as Dracula, if you wanna tell us that now you can, or if you wanna wait until you first session describe your character, you can also, you've folded it into that.
• 41:52
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'll let you guys know for this one.
• 41:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Cool, the visible scar is I have faded eyes.
• 41:57
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
• 41:59
  [UNKNOWN]: Oh.
• 41:59
[SPEAKER_02]: And my non-visible scar is, there were two of these that I wanted,
• 42:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm like, no way, it's actually another one distrust of sky, distrust of sky is also very good.
• 42:14
[SPEAKER_04]: That's wild, distrust of sky is such a funny beer, whole time you gorephobia.
• 42:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Because what it feels like to be is combining those two, it's like you're constantly like, what is that cloud?
• 42:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Rain, do you think it's rain?
• 42:34
[SPEAKER_02]: There's also just like with the terstus of that writing in order to fit it in this box, distrust of these.
• 42:39
[SPEAKER_02]: If we had a definite article, it wouldn't be as funny, but distrust of sky, sky, so funny.
• 42:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Day or night, just keep it all.
• 42:50
  [SPEAKER_00]: Sky.
• 42:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Hell yeah, that is our forge night.
• 42:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, who would like to go next?
• 42:55
  [SPEAKER_04]: I can go.
• 42:56
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, hit me, Jasmine.
• 42:58
[SPEAKER_04]: So I am the seal knight, a knight sworn oath outlast the stone wall, yet seers say in time even words must fall.
• 43:10
[SPEAKER_04]: We've got a halberd, Gampson, Siegeplate, Ooh, a dusty steed.
• 43:19
  [SPEAKER_04]: Dusty.
• 43:19
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, my old man's steed.
• 43:25
  [SPEAKER_04]: Sweet, he's so dusty.
• 43:29
  [SPEAKER_04]: This is fun.
• 43:30
  [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, seal of binding.
• 43:31
[SPEAKER_04]: Ooh, again, I wanted to be like, are for fun.
• 43:38
[SPEAKER_04]: Mark a weapon, shield or piece of armor belonging to a non-night with your seal.
• 43:43
[SPEAKER_04]: They can use smite or deny as if they were a night, but then the seal is removed.
• 43:49
  [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, shit, that's interesting.
• 43:51
[SPEAKER_04]: Whoa, how often can I do that?
• 43:53
[SPEAKER_04]: I could just like help people?
• 43:54
  [SPEAKER_04]: That's
• 43:55
  [SPEAKER_04]: Awesome.
• 43:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Seems like we can just do it.
• 43:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 43:59
[SPEAKER_04]: You're basically just like deputizing people Like yeah, you're a night you're a night you're the Oprah at least one time and then that's it And my passion is modesty So mod if I broke Oh, yeah, I'm very excited.
• 44:22
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh look at my look guy
• 44:24
[SPEAKER_00]: sick and then less than at least happy what night did you roll?
• 44:28
[SPEAKER_03]: I rolled a five and then a nine with which gets you the magpie night.
• 44:34
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh hell yeah.
• 44:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: Ooh.
• 44:36
[SPEAKER_03]: He and I see what cold heart seeks.
• 44:40
[SPEAKER_03]: This bird never bear of beak.
• 44:42
[SPEAKER_03]: And for property I have a heavy cudgel and exactly three javelins.
• 44:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I don't appear to have any sort of armor, so that's fun.
• 44:55
[SPEAKER_03]: And then I have a two-fold pouch items I place in the pouch can only be retrieved by me containing a memento, which is my D6 table to roll on.
• 45:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and then I have an iron cloud, Steve.
• 45:11
[SPEAKER_03]: and I gave him all my armor.
• 45:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, my ability is scourer sense.
• 45:20
[SPEAKER_03]: If you are searching for something specific, you always know for sure whether it is in your immediate surroundings or not.
• 45:29
[SPEAKER_03]: And then I'm really, really excited about my passion.
• 45:33
  [SPEAKER_03]: Which is heraldry?
• 45:39
[SPEAKER_03]: I restores here at when you announce the owner of a banner crest or coat of arms, which I can always wreck it.
• 45:46
[SPEAKER_02]: God damn it, you got the funnest of them.
• 45:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm always so cool to be at your all going to need to said to be your titles good to Harold.
• 45:57
[SPEAKER_00]: And there is a spark table for heraldry on the spark table, page for people.
• 46:02
[SPEAKER_00]: So if you want to roll like a herald... Oh, I'm going to have a heraldry for your night, that is doable.
• 46:08
[SPEAKER_03]: And then my treasured momentum is an old coin from somebody I loved.
• 46:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
• 46:17
[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to get a dog's collar from somebody you hated because despite having just shocked about being against animal violence, I feel like if you get that combo, it has to be that I killed their dog.
• 46:31
[SPEAKER_02]: You're the bad part of John Wick.
• 46:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I say, oh my god.
• 46:37
[SPEAKER_04]: If you get that combo, I think that's really the only thing you can do with it.
• 46:41
[SPEAKER_03]: But the dust don't want that story
• 46:45
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the dice respected your lines and nails.
• 46:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 46:50
  [UNKNOWN]: Thank you, Dice.
• 46:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Before we give your nights a name and pronouns and before we swear the oath, uh, is anybody unsatisfied with their night and would like to re-roll?
• 47:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I am totally cool with allowing one re-roll for everyone.
• 47:04
[SPEAKER_00]: If you, if you feel like this isn't your guy.
• 47:06
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm feeling like my little guy.
• 47:09
  [SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
• 47:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good like my guy.
• 47:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing a bit stone pillar.
• 47:13
  [SPEAKER_00]: I that's badass.
• 47:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that and you know what they might not be around for a long anyway
• 47:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So a couple of mechanical things that you'll see on your sheet, I mentioned that you all have access to the feats.
• 47:28
[SPEAKER_00]: We will go over these more the first time we run into combat, but these are smite focus and deny, and they tell you sort of the mechanical things that happen on there.
• 47:36
[SPEAKER_00]: That is accessible to everyone.
• 47:39
[SPEAKER_00]: A feet though has a save that you have to make, and if you don't make that save, you cannot do that feet until you rest.
• 47:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: You become fatigued.
• 47:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so that's the other thing on your character sheet, um, and then you also have gambits and gambits or things that in combat, you can spend dice to do, but the combat mechanics, you know, are a little unique.
• 47:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, we can go over them a bit more in detail the first time we run into them.
• 48:02
  [SPEAKER_04]: Great.
• 48:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I just noticed that my horse has more vigor than me and also four times as much guard.
• 48:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I looked like you're staying on your horse fell.
• 48:15
[SPEAKER_00]: You got it, stay on that horse.
• 48:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's good.
• 48:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: That is funny.
• 48:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: Is that out?
• 48:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
• 48:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So the last thing to do is give your night a name and pronouns.
• 48:26
[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you're ready for that, I would ask that you introduce them to me and swear the oath aloud.
• 48:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Does anyone have a character name and pronouns for me?
• 48:39
  [SPEAKER_02]: No.
• 48:41
  [SPEAKER_02]: They're a name table in this.
• 48:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, if you flip to any page in the book, there's random names on the left.
• 48:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'll grab you.
• 48:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: Really?
• 48:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
• 48:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 48:52
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 48:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 48:54
[SPEAKER_02]: The light and really tickled me.
• 48:57
[SPEAKER_02]: This isn't the thing we talked about during the interview of how much I loved that.
• 48:59
  [SPEAKER_02]: And I forgot.
• 49:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't see it.
• 49:01
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
• 49:01
  [SPEAKER_02]: Great.
• 49:02
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm taking this name.
• 49:03
  [SPEAKER_02]: Awesome.
• 49:03
  [SPEAKER_02]: I'm thrilled.
• 49:04
  [SPEAKER_02]: This book rules.
• 49:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, I got distracted trying to fill in my character sheet, hold on, hold on.
• 49:17
  [SPEAKER_03]: God, she's...
• 49:20
  [SPEAKER_01]: I think I have a name.
• 49:21
  [SPEAKER_01]: I can introduce mine.
• 49:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Jack, introduce yourself to me.
• 49:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm Subbrandwin.
• 49:28
[SPEAKER_01]: He, I say he pronouns.
• 49:31
  [SPEAKER_01]: I'm the Rune Knight.
• 49:33
  [SPEAKER_01]: Subbrandwin.
• 49:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 49:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Will you swear the of?
• 49:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I sub-brown-win, we'll seek the myths on other seas, and protect the realm.
• 49:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: Whoo!
• 49:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: Whoo!
• 49:46
  [SPEAKER_03]: Wait, where?
• 49:47
  [SPEAKER_03]: Woof!
• 49:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Do we see the Earth?
• 49:49
  [SPEAKER_03]: Where is it?
• 49:49
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's something else.
• 49:50
[SPEAKER_02]: It's all your character sheet at the very top.
• 49:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: Scroll down.
• 49:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: Well.
• 49:53
[SPEAKER_02]: In black on the left.
• 49:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Who's ready with the name and pronouns as well?
• 49:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: I can go.
• 50:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Who am I talking to, Brian?
• 50:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: I know.
• 50:04
  [SPEAKER_00]: Brian.
• 50:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
• 50:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to be cute with it, would you play a lot of things for me?
• 50:13
[SPEAKER_02]: The Fortnite's name is Andree.
• 50:16
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm going to go hear him.
• 50:19
  [SPEAKER_02]: Andree, I like that.
• 50:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Andree, the Fortnite, will you swear the oath?
• 50:25
[SPEAKER_02]: I, Sir Andree, will seek the myths, honor the Sears, and protect the realm.
• 50:32
  [SPEAKER_02]: Very good.
• 50:37
  [SPEAKER_00]: Sir Pasco.
• 50:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's cool.
• 50:41
[SPEAKER_04]: I, Sir Pasco, seek the myths on of the seas and protect around.
• 50:48
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you do.
• 50:49
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you do.
• 50:51
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you do.
• 50:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you do.
• 50:52
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you do.
• 50:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you do.
• 50:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Don't you best go.
• 51:00
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, very good.
• 51:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's going to be great.
• 51:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Pronounce for Pasco?
• 51:05
  [SPEAKER_04]: They then.
• 51:05
  [SPEAKER_00]: They them, dope.
• 51:07
  [SPEAKER_00]: And finally.
• 51:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 51:11
[SPEAKER_03]: And Abby, I'm going to go with Ser Ruskin.
• 51:16
  [SPEAKER_03]: Ooh, are you SKYN?
• 51:20
  [SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, sneaky little Y.
• 51:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: We love Ser Ruskin.
• 51:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Will you swear the oath?
• 51:26
[SPEAKER_03]: I, Ser Ruskin, will seek the myths honor the Sears and protect the realm.
• 51:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: So you will.
• 51:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, pronouns for Seruskin?
• 51:37
  [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, they them.
• 51:39
[SPEAKER_00]: This oath is what binds you.
• 51:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It is truly what makes you a night, and it will drive you throughout this story whenever you feel lost.
• 51:49
[SPEAKER_00]: So as I mentioned before, there are a number of spark tables in this game.
• 51:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Specifically, on page 24, there are spark tables for people.
• 51:56
[SPEAKER_00]: As you kind of think through your character and flesh it out, you have tables here that you could use to influence the appearance, the personality, the background, or even the voice of your character.
• 52:06
[SPEAKER_00]: If you want, you do not have to use those, but these tables are here to kind of provide you some improv points for your character.
• 52:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But what I would like to use these tables for, one table in particular is to build out some relationships for our company, how the individual's, how your individual characters are connected to each other.
• 52:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So I would, whoever would like to start, I will have you choose one other character and roll 2D12 for me.
• 52:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Why don't we go in reverse order, Abby, Ruskin, who would you like Ruskin to have a relationship with?
• 52:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Ruskin is gonna roll for their relationship with Sir Brand-Win.
• 52:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Sir Brand-Win, all right, give me 2d12.
• 52:48
  [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
• 52:51
  [SPEAKER_03]: Four.
• 52:53
  [SPEAKER_03]: Ten.
• 52:55
[SPEAKER_00]: That is an estranged peer.
• 52:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
• 53:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me more about how you and Brand-Win are estranged peers.
• 53:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, we maybe went to school together, or night training.
• 53:09
  [SPEAKER_03]: We're the first one.
• 53:10
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're the same.
• 53:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we were like, squires squires the same night for a bit.
• 53:16
  [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
• 53:18
[SPEAKER_04]: You guys went to night school together.
• 53:22
[SPEAKER_03]: It's my birthday, because we met during the day.
• 53:24
[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, yeah, but I like that.
• 53:29
[SPEAKER_03]: And then I'm trying to think why we're,
• 53:33
[SPEAKER_03]: A strange, I think if we were both squires for the same night at some point in like our training or early days that the night's company became divided of like maybe there was a mutiny and so like half the company turned on the night and the other half was the oil to the night and one of us was on one side and one of us was on the other side.
• 53:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: That's fun.
• 53:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: That's juicy.
• 53:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have a preference?
• 54:00
  [SPEAKER_03]: I don't.
• 54:02
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm trying to look at my character sheet and be like, what do I think the mag pie would be more or less likely to be one of those things?
• 54:10
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 54:11
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like my love of Harold Dre, maybe I was loyal.
• 54:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Or maybe announcing everybody else.
• 54:16
[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, why are we on this guy side?
• 54:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I have an idea, uh, drag, can you roll a D6 and Abby?
• 54:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: Can you roll a D12?
• 54:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: Hell yeah.
• 54:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: OK.
• 54:27
  [SPEAKER_00]: I would have five.
• 54:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god, I also have five.
• 54:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Even both squares to the cosmic night.
• 54:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I see you did there.
• 54:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's, yeah.
• 54:41
[SPEAKER_00]: The cosmic night's passion is like, so the little bit of poetry on there is countless lights dotted in night's veil to them each one a glad or shameful tale.
• 54:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And this night is obsessed with the stars and can use the stars to vanish to a distant sanctuary just beyond reality, leaving a small glowing stone behind
• 55:06
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it's not distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable, it distrustable,
• 55:33
  [SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
• 55:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like a dinner.
• 55:34
[SPEAKER_00]: It specifically says kids go east through any gap as large as it's head.
• 55:38
  [SPEAKER_03]: It's a cat.
• 55:39
  [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's a cat.
• 55:42
[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy that everyone's else's minds want the cat and I went to octopus.
• 55:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Cool, so you were both squires of the Cosmic Knight and for some reason, you were on opposite ends of a few within the company.
• 56:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we'll poke at that as we can then.
• 56:08
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 56:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Drak, who would you like to roll for a relationship with?
• 56:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I will roll for a relationship with, with it Pasco?
• 56:16
  [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
• 56:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I would have a relationship with Pasco.
• 56:23
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's a four and a six.
• 56:25
  [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, another is strange.
• 56:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just ranting to everyone.
• 56:30
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I hold no connections.
• 56:32
[SPEAKER_00]: That is a, it's strange to ally.
• 56:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just getting interesting.
• 56:37
[SPEAKER_00]: That's interesting that your characters are strange with two people.
• 56:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
• 56:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess first, why do you come and do not make any more allies?
• 56:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 56:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you think what I lies?
• 56:49
  [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
• 56:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe this isn't the first company of Knightsville in, like, put together in, maybe we were with another group at some point, and I don't know, either complete with a initial mission or sent out for, or what, woefully failed that mission, and we ended up splitting ways.
• 57:10
  [SPEAKER_01]: How does that sound?
• 57:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Jasmine, do you have anything you want to add to that?
• 57:15
  [SPEAKER_04]: I like it.
• 57:15
[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think it's interesting that you're estranged from both?
• 57:18
[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, maybe in some way I know Ruskin as well.
• 57:22
[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm, because like it's like a mutual.
• 57:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Is it worth also connecting you to the cosmic night just so everyone's kind of like connected to it a similar vocal point.
• 57:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe you were part of the company too.
• 57:35
[SPEAKER_03]: We're allies in that you helped with the like mutiny against the cosmic night.
• 57:41
  [SPEAKER_04]: I like it.
• 57:41
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think that he had any or they had any formal training.
• 57:45
[SPEAKER_04]: I think that like my little guy.
• 57:50
[SPEAKER_04]: especially because of the sear that has knighted them.
• 57:55
[SPEAKER_04]: It's like a very, they're a weird little guy, so they're not like, I don't know how to explain this until you get to meet the sear as well, but I think that they just...
• 58:06
[SPEAKER_04]: are helping the best they can.
• 58:09
[SPEAKER_01]: So you do, you want to like, train, so do you think you want a square of it?
• 58:16
  [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think so.
• 58:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, I can't just like go around.
• 58:21
  [SPEAKER_01]: I was around.
• 58:22
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's like a pack, you know, if you tended to the horses.
• 58:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Literally, that's what I was going to say.
• 58:26
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, just tended the horses.
• 58:28
[SPEAKER_04]: There's Pasco with the horses again.
• 58:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And why are the two of you estranged?
• 58:35
[SPEAKER_04]: Where'd you go, since you are estranged from everyone?
• 58:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 58:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 58:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
• 59:04
[SPEAKER_01]: like mid to late 40s.
• 59:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in this game, there are three seasons to your life, essentially, three phases, a young mature and old is how the game treats it, so you could live in the like mature range.
• 59:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it would be mature.
• 59:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think maybe they initially were part of mutiny and like split up, maybe the company became like two separate companies.
• 59:27
  [SPEAKER_01]: But I think maybe
• 59:31
[SPEAKER_01]: like night food as a whole and just just pretty left for a bit to like just live a normal life until this year came to me in some way, shape or form, because then I guess I'd explain why because it seemed like Pascal's a nice person.
• 59:49
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 59:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't think of another reason why.
• 59:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: I just abandoned Pascal.
• 59:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't mean to cause I personally.
• 59:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was a person.
• 59:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: It was a person.
• 59:57
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they didn't take it personally.
• 1:00:00
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:00:01
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 1:00:03
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:00:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe that's why I think maybe that for a moment I left like the life of night, nighthood and for long enough to become like a strange too.
• 1:00:13
[SPEAKER_00]: the maturity of the people, so that is the list of the cosmic night's company.
• 1:00:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And you just said, actually, I'm done with both things.
• 1:00:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm going to go.
• 1:00:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go chill.
• 1:00:23
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:00:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Direct, you think it was, was it you completed?
• 1:00:27
[SPEAKER_02]: So like, what was it that you had finished what you said out to do or was it that you became disillusioned with what you were doing?
• 1:00:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I think the solution to be what I was doing.
• 1:00:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I actually think maybe I was even the case of like, maybe I wasn't on any side of the mutiny.
• 1:00:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I think the fact that there was a mutiny was like, these nights are fucking bickering.
• 1:00:46
  [SPEAKER_01]: This isn't what I imagined.
• 1:00:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Nighthead would be, I just not as, they're not their heroes or these specific ones that are only at least aren't their heroes.
• 1:00:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I expected or thought nights were.
• 1:00:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And that kind of like, the solution to me.
• 1:00:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, it's kind of stepping away for like a net negative rather than a net positive like there's still something unfinished there.
• 1:01:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then Pasco, do you want to roll for a connection to Brian remind me, Edry?
• 1:01:26
  [SPEAKER_04]: Ah, we're best friends!
• 1:01:28
  [SPEAKER_04]: Best friends!
• 1:01:30
  [SPEAKER_04]: It's my best friend!
• 1:01:32
[SPEAKER_00]: The two lower-stat characters are...
• 1:01:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes!
• 1:01:35
[SPEAKER_04]: You guys are very young, Pippin!
• 1:01:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, tracks.
• 1:01:39
[SPEAKER_04]: We did ten that horses we did!
• 1:01:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess Pasco, what... What turned this from just like a normal friendship to like what someone would call an intimate friendship?
• 1:01:50
[SPEAKER_00]: What, like, rod it to that next level of closeness?
• 1:01:53
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, everyone else was moving on up through the ranks with their high figures in spirit.
• 1:02:01
[SPEAKER_04]: And sweet, sir, Andrea and I, we just, as simple horse guys, we just decided.
• 1:02:13
[SPEAKER_04]: We decided we didn't need any of that mess.
• 1:02:16
[SPEAKER_04]: And we became very good friends.
• 1:02:17
[SPEAKER_04]: And then I think eventually Andre also got a night hood as you pulled away in your stats as well.
• 1:02:27
[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, let's go, uh, just do and do in their best with the horses and then eventually got knighted as well and no one knows why.
• 1:02:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Can I tell you a new, a new hope I have for this campaign is that Pasco survives every single.
• 1:02:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Pasco is a character who survives through every time, but I don't have to do it.
• 1:02:49
  [SPEAKER_03]: I don't have to do it.
• 1:02:50
  [SPEAKER_01]: Survive every time.
• 1:02:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, how does somebody's every time I always kill the deals that cutting garlic and every single time?
• 1:02:58
[SPEAKER_02]: The last episode of this campaign, we're going to be playing an intergalactic bash to land and Pasca was still there.
• 1:03:03
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
• 1:03:06
[SPEAKER_04]: There's just so happy to be invited.
• 1:03:08
[SPEAKER_04]: Like, this is just really good.
• 1:03:11
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you so much for having me.
• 1:03:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Andre, do you see Pasca on the same level of friendship?
• 1:03:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, we're best, but I think we, we like came up through the worst part of it, the worst part of like, I kind of think it's an element of like the best thing that we could do in our lives at that time was not become a night it was like tend to the nights like that was the highest calling we could think to achieve or at least at least Andrew could think to achieve and I think the fact that Andrew was knighted I know I wanted to play an old guy but this guy is just feeling so young.
• 1:03:49
[SPEAKER_02]: I was about to say, yeah, no it's fine.
• 1:03:51
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think the stats did it too and I think that
• 1:03:57
[SPEAKER_02]: It's very much a he got knighted by the cosmic knight because like after this rift so many people left that he's you know turning to his like essentially stable hands and being like hey I need more folks and so I think this was a I think entry is particularly takes the vows of knighthood particularly to heart because he never thought he would get to say them.
• 1:04:27
  [SPEAKER_02]: I have a feeling he's going to be a little tri-hard.
• 1:04:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: I like this guy.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm loving these little relationships.
• 1:04:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that we have this connection to a night from our past that has kind of been severed under somewhat unknown circumstances as of yet.
• 1:04:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Anything anybody wants to add to how they know another character based on kind of this stuff we've talked about.
• 1:04:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, uh, can I roll one to connect me to Abby, please?
• 1:04:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you want to complete the loop?
• 1:04:54
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, complete the loop.
• 1:04:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's great.
• 1:04:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, to Sir Ruskin.
• 1:04:56
  [SPEAKER_00]: Sir Ruskin.
• 1:04:56
  [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, wrote a five and a 12.
• 1:04:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
• 1:05:12
[SPEAKER_02]: The relationship is right, full guardian.
• 1:05:16
[SPEAKER_02]: I think, if you want to be the hateful guardian to me, that makes a ton of sense.
• 1:05:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was going to say I was envisioning that I sort of like the Emily to your Miranda Priestly where I'm constantly trying to whisper your ear with this person is from this house and this is their backstory and this is their gross up.
• 1:05:37
[SPEAKER_03]: But you love it to be your hateful guardian.
• 1:05:40
[SPEAKER_02]: In my head, if my, if Andrew is like, never thought he was going to be a night and like, got promoted, kind of by happens, stands in by necessity.
• 1:05:49
[SPEAKER_02]: And you are the person who knows everyone's royal hat.
• 1:05:51
[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone's like, nobility and heraldry in house.
• 1:05:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Andrew doesn't have any of that.
• 1:05:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, he, he, you're asking how to spoke abana.
• 1:05:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm asking how to spell abana.
• 1:06:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And you hang up on me.
• 1:06:03
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm saying you get Alex on the phone, whoever it was.
• 1:06:08
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's very much, if you're interested in playing this, it's like, I think of the nights here.
• 1:06:14
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's me and Pasco, but maybe Andrew, Andrew and Pasco, like don't necessarily deserve to be here or like that wasn't their path said in life and then they just happened into it.
• 1:06:31
  [SPEAKER_03]: no one knows why.
• 1:06:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna I'm totally down with this I like it of like being a little bit of a guardian or like steward to you both of having a little more experience.
• 1:06:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna lean a little bit more towards like a resentful or tumultuous rather than hateful.
• 1:06:49
  [SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
• 1:06:49
[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm fine with it being like disdain or like I'm really annoyed by you guys.
• 1:06:54
[SPEAKER_02]: I think if we start off really bad, then over the course of the season, I can win you over.
• 1:06:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, more and more even worse in my die early, then it's extra tragic.
• 1:07:04
[SPEAKER_02]: And you can spend the rest of your time trying to make it up to my memory.
• 1:07:08
[SPEAKER_03]: More celebrating, we'll find out.
• 1:07:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Or just pop in the bubbly right there.
• 1:07:15
  [SPEAKER_03]: No, not my mind.
• 1:07:17
  [SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
• 1:07:18
[SPEAKER_00]: We've got a little network of this company that we'll be setting out.
• 1:07:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Why were they sent out together by the Sears?
• 1:07:25
  [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
• 1:07:26
  [SPEAKER_01]: I guess we'll find out.
• 1:07:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Next time, when we get together, we're going to begin our story in this realm.
• 1:07:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And as you guys consider this this three part of...
• 1:07:37
[SPEAKER_00]: seek the myths, honor the Sears, protect the realm.
• 1:07:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Is there one part of this that is feeling especially interesting to you as a first sort of direction that you're feeling aligned to as a company or as an individual?
• 1:07:53
  [SPEAKER_00]: Seek the myths.
• 1:07:55
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think Brandenwyn
• 1:08:00
  [SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
• 1:08:01
[SPEAKER_04]: I, again, Pasco's just so happy to be here.
• 1:08:07
[SPEAKER_03]: You all want to do.
• 1:08:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I think maybe, yeah, Ruskin might be also in the, like, protect the realm, which is why I feel like I got annoyed when, andries like,
• 1:08:19
[SPEAKER_03]: We should go on an adventure and I'm like, that's not what this is about.
• 1:08:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I think Andre was always the person who got left behind to like, tend to things.
• 1:08:27
[SPEAKER_02]: So he heard all the great stories, but he never got to experience them.
• 1:08:31
[SPEAKER_02]: So like, the thing that he's interested in is experiencing those things, like seeking the myths, like the call of adventure is what interests him rather than the like,
• 1:08:41
  [SPEAKER_02]: honoring or protecting.
• 1:08:42
[SPEAKER_02]: I think those are things that he's going to have to learn.
• 1:08:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I think the the story I'd adventure I'd, you know, young kid wants to see something amazing.
• 1:08:53
[SPEAKER_00]: So the reason I ask this is because this game is a hex crawl as some of you might be aware.
• 1:08:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're going to be given a map at the start of our first session.
• 1:09:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to tell you where you are on it.
• 1:09:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And then this game is largely about exploring, finding holdings, landmarks, barriers, myths, left to discovery as we play.
• 1:09:11
[SPEAKER_00]: So I ask for kind of where you're leaning, because then I can sort of decide what little breadcrumbs to leave for you as you explore.
• 1:09:19
[SPEAKER_00]: But I still have yet to build that realm based on some of the stuff we talked about today.
• 1:09:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, before I read another long little outro text, does anybody have any final questions, comments or concerns before we head into our first session?
• 1:09:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he said it really, but just to make sure I'm on the same page.
• 1:09:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be like, so the way I'm the ruin, am I the ruin night?
• 1:09:42
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no other ruin night.
• 1:09:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I believe you are the reason for being the ruin night.
• 1:09:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's my read.
• 1:09:46
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 1:09:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Did anybody name their seed?
• 1:09:49
[SPEAKER_03]: And if so, would you name up?
• 1:09:54
[SPEAKER_02]: I did do a random name for this stage, and I was very happy with the result.
• 1:09:59
[SPEAKER_02]: The helm steed, who has more vigor than me, and four times more carbon, his named Rousse, R-O-O-R-C, and in my head, this was the horse that I cared for, that did not like me.
• 1:10:18
  [SPEAKER_03]: Stubborn.
• 1:10:19
[SPEAKER_04]: I absolutely believe that Pasco has inherited this horse, the Dusty Steve from another retired night.
• 1:10:27
[SPEAKER_04]: So I'll think on some majestic, steed name, but he should be retired to poor little guy.
• 1:10:36
[SPEAKER_03]: We could just eat and chose that episode.
• 1:10:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, and I just was curious.
• 1:10:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, do you have a name for your steed?
• 1:10:42
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
• 1:10:42
  [SPEAKER_02]: What is it?
• 1:10:43
  [SPEAKER_03]: What is it?
• 1:10:45
[SPEAKER_03]: My steed is iron-clad, and their name is Thunderstep.
• 1:10:50
  [SPEAKER_03]: Oh!
• 1:10:50
  [SPEAKER_03]: They're not Thunderstep.
• 1:10:51
  [SPEAKER_03]: Thunderstep.
• 1:10:52
  [SPEAKER_01]: They're very bad.
• 1:10:53
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's mad off.
• 1:10:54
  [SPEAKER_01]: Very bad.
• 1:10:55
[SPEAKER_01]: That sounds a cool name, though.
• 1:10:58
  [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
• 1:10:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to read a big chunk of text.
• 1:11:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: A legend is a curious thing.
• 1:11:05
[SPEAKER_00]: What does it mean to become a legend?
• 1:11:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Will the journey the four of you are about to take be immortalized as a legend of this realm?
• 1:11:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Will you honor your oaths?
• 1:11:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Will you rise in glory?
• 1:11:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Will you survive to see the wrinkles of your skin form from a life well lived?
• 1:11:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Or will you welcome a quick end at the end of a blade or the mouth of a beast?
• 1:11:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we have plenty of time to answer these questions.
• 1:11:28
[SPEAKER_00]: For a legend is a story, and this story is only just beginning.
• 1:11:34
[SPEAKER_00]: As the four of you arrive in this realm, I will leave you with a single question.
• 1:11:39
[SPEAKER_00]: A question that I will ask at the top of session one, a question that I will likely ask throughout this journey that we are about to begin.
• 1:11:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Consider it, hold the answer close, and don't be afraid to let your answer change as our story progresses.
• 1:11:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you a night?
• 1:12:01
[SPEAKER_00]: and that is all for session zero of my first dungeon mythic bastion land join us next time as our night's tale begins and remember seek the myths, honor the Sears and protect the realm.
• 1:12:22
[SPEAKER_02]: The game's tagline is so good, it's stole the tagline of the show.
• 1:12:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're having fun, you're already doing it.
• 1:12:30
[SPEAKER_00]: No, you're already doing it, you're already doing it.
