Today, let's talk about tastes. We've done sweet and spicy before, but now let's cover sour and bitter. Luna: Ooh, sour and bitter. Those are strong flavors. Lucas: They are. First, sour. In Cantonese, sour is 酸. Luna: 酸. Lucas: Good. Let's try it in a sentence: 呢個好酸. This is very sour. Luna: 呢個好酸. Lucas: Perfect. Now bitter is 苦. Luna: 苦. Lucas: And 呢個好苦 means this is very bitter. Luna: 呢個好苦. Lucas: Great. So if you bite into a lemon, you'd say 呢個好酸. And if you taste dark coffee, you might say 呢個好苦. Luna: Right. What if I don't like the bitter taste? How do I say "I don't like bitter"? Lucas: That's 我唔鍾意苦. Luna: 我唔鍾意苦. Lucas: Yes. And to ask someone if they like sour, you can say 你鍾唔鍾意酸. Luna: 你鍾唔鍾意酸. Do you like sour? Lucas: Exactly.
