Today, Friday August 21 - Jehovah Nissi, The LORD is our Banner! The rod of Moses became the Rod of God when he obeyed and yielded his life totally to Jehovah. This Rod also became the "Banner of God" that brought victory over the Amalekites. The Rod was the symbol and pledge of God's presence and power and working. As a ensign or standard, it was a signal to God's people to rally to Him, it stood for His Cause, His Battle. Four words were on my mind this morning - Truth, Faith, Trust and Obedience!
