- 0:02Speaker 2: Well, good morning and happy Wednesday. We're officially halfway through
- 0:05Speaker 2: the week. Congratulations. Not Ricky Sanchez today, but Kevin Mano
- 0:09Speaker 2: has this three things that you need to know. Is
- 0:11Speaker 2: it really the halfway?
- 0:12Speaker 3: I guess it is the head it's the beginning of
- 0:14Speaker 3: the halfway point. We're halfway there, Kevin Wednesdays. Let's keep
- 0:17Speaker 3: it okay, glass half full.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Glass headful. There you go. Thank you, zach Hey.
- 0:21Speaker 3: If you or someone you know is looking for work,
- 0:23Speaker 3: look to the one and only Dolly part and she's
- 0:25Speaker 3: got your back her new song. Teller Hotel is holding
- 0:29Speaker 3: a hiring event on June twenty fifth, so it's coming up.
- 0:32Speaker 3: They're looking for hospitality professionals, food and beverage positions, culinary
- 0:37Speaker 3: guest services, marketing, and more than need it all. Basically,
- 0:40Speaker 3: they said, dozens of positions are open again. This is
- 0:43Speaker 3: happening in the twenty fifth from eleven am to four
- 0:45Speaker 3: pm at the one fourteen at the wild Horse downtown.
- 0:49Speaker 2: If you're looking for work, and why would you not
- 0:51Speaker 2: want to work for Dolly Partner.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Exactly, I'm thinking of quitting this job.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Another thing happening later this month is the BET Awards,
- 0:58Speaker 3: and we just found out that singer and actress Tianna
- 1:00Speaker 3: Taylor will receive the Icon of the Year Awards. She
- 1:03Speaker 3: got a ton of attention for her role in the
- 1:05Speaker 3: movie One Battle after Another.
- 1:06Speaker 2: She was great in that.
- 1:07Speaker 3: She was in the rip just recently with Ben Affleck
- 1:10Speaker 3: and Matt Damon. She put out an album called Escape
- 1:12Speaker 3: Room back in August, so she's been just pumping out
- 1:15Speaker 3: some really great work lately and she will be recognized
- 1:17Speaker 3: for it at the BET Awards on the twenty eighth. Lastly,
- 1:20Speaker 3: Game four of the NBA Finals is going down tonight
- 1:24Speaker 3: at Madison Square Garden.
- 1:25Speaker 4: These tickets are crazy expensive.
- 1:27Speaker 3: A lot of people really kind of hoping the Knicks
- 1:28Speaker 3: would win it in four, allowing them to celebrate at home,
- 1:32Speaker 3: but the Spurs had other plans.
- 1:34Speaker 2: They won.
- 1:34Speaker 3: The Spurs won Monday Night Game three. The one fifteen
- 1:38Speaker 3: to one eleven is the final score there, forcing the
- 1:40Speaker 3: series to eventually move back to San Antonio on Saturday.
- 1:43Speaker 3: But before that happens, we got to see how Game
- 1:45Speaker 3: four plays out. Tonight you can watch live on ABC
- 1:48Speaker 3: at seven thirty. It's crazy how star studded these games
- 1:52Speaker 3: have been lately.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Zach, I mean the tickes. I literally have seen so
- 1:55Speaker 2: many like celebrities, like backstage like videos of them, and
- 1:58Speaker 2: I'm like, I didn't know that many people care about basketball.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean they're they're backstage, but they're also just
- 2:02Speaker 3: right there on the court. It's great Ben Stiller and
- 2:04Speaker 3: Timothy shallow May and just everybody's sitting right there.
- 2:07Speaker 2: There you go, three things, you now know.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Getting back into the music, We've got Billie Eilish and
- 2:11Speaker 3: Olivia Dean both on the way.
- 2:12Speaker 4: But here's Bruno Mars as we start.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Things up on this halfway point of the week.
- 2:18Speaker 1: The River, Ricky is Zach and manno in the morning
- 2:22Speaker 1: on the river.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Easton is on the line right now, Easton and Nashville.
- 2:26Speaker 2: How you doing, Buddy good? How about you good Man?
- 2:29Speaker 1: Huh?
- 2:30Speaker 2: How's summer?
- 2:31Speaker 5: It's fun.
- 2:32Speaker 6: They're writing a couple of days, so I'm kind of.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Go riding or nothing but writing what.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Excuters and their foilers?
- 2:40Speaker 2: This song all sounds very fun to me.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a little fun, but when you crash, it's not.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I will say, Easton, good news for you. I woke
- 2:47Speaker 2: up this morning and the sun is shining bright, so
- 2:49Speaker 2: it might be a good riding day. True. I all
- 2:53Speaker 2: wakes up at like six.
- 2:54Speaker 3: O'clock in the morning, so wait you my mom does,
- 2:58Speaker 3: but no kids probably wait up a STIPs so.
- 3:02Speaker 2: During summer, not many. Is mom there with you right now? Yes? Hey, Hi,
- 3:08Speaker 2: how are y'all? We're good.
- 3:09Speaker 3: When was the last time Easton got like, like real
- 3:11Speaker 3: scraped up on one of those things he rides on
- 3:15Speaker 3: a dirt bike?
- 3:16Speaker 2: Probably next weeks ago.
- 3:18Speaker 5: He's been to uh sidewalks.
- 3:21Speaker 6: So there was a lemon on the sidewalk and I
- 3:24Speaker 6: was about going.
- 3:26Speaker 2: And then I wiped out. Yeah, and I feel like,
- 3:28Speaker 2: maybe you're not a very good driver.
- 3:30Speaker 7: Well, it was a sidewalk and there was like tree
- 3:33Speaker 7: branches on the ground.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Bro, should you be going forty on the sidewalk?
- 3:37Speaker 3: That's a little too high, wasn't there my dad was?
- 3:44Speaker 2: I feel like, that's how fast Kevin walks on the sidewalk.
- 3:46Speaker 2: He walks so quickly everywhere. You're probably walking forty miles
- 3:50Speaker 2: an hour. I gotta watch out for lemons. Uh. We
- 3:52Speaker 2: should probably tell you guys that you are the first
- 3:54Speaker 2: caller of the day.
- 3:54Speaker 3: So congratulations, You're going to see Malcolm Todd at the Truth.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, all right.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Well, hey, good to hear from you, guys. We love
- 4:04Speaker 2: you guys. Enjoy the rest of your summer, buddy.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Hopefully the rain holds off so you can get out
- 4:07Speaker 3: there and do dangerous things.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Please, just some thing, okay, yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, you don't want to mess up hockey,
- 4:16Speaker 3: all right, Hang on, guys, we can get all your info.
- 4:18Speaker 3: We've got more of these tickets. Malcolm tom tomorrow, same.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Time, Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning.
- 4:26Speaker 2: It's a bit more seven o'clock on this Wednesday morning.
- 4:28Speaker 2: It's the river.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Think you're starting your day with us. It's time to
- 4:32Speaker 3: take a look inside Zach's brain. Before that song, he
- 4:34Speaker 3: asked if he should be able to charge his doctor money.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I feel like I should be able to charge my
- 4:40Speaker 2: doctor money. Here's the problem. So they have a cancelation policy.
- 4:44Speaker 2: If they that if you don't cancel your appointment forty
- 4:47Speaker 2: eight hours prior to your appointments and they will still
- 4:49Speaker 2: charge you for the sure. Yeah, a lot of places
- 4:51Speaker 2: have them. So my therapist, I had an appointment yesterday.
- 4:55Speaker 2: She canceled two hours before my appointment. So should I
- 4:59Speaker 2: be able to charge her? If she's going to charge me?
- 5:02Speaker 2: That's a solid question. That really is I don't even
- 5:05Speaker 2: have like a like if you have the policy for
- 5:08Speaker 2: forty eight hours, then I feel like it should be universal.
- 5:12Speaker 2: It should be vice versa as well. This should be
- 5:15Speaker 2: a two way street. Yeah. Yeah, you should be able
- 5:17Speaker 2: to cancel it forty eight hours before my appointment. That's fine.
- 5:20Speaker 2: I've scheduled my entire day around this.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Appointment, honestly, Yeah, people do. I mean they put a
- 5:26Speaker 4: lot into scheduling these appointments. They might have to get childcare,
- 5:28Speaker 4: take time off work or something.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like we should be able to charge
- 5:32Speaker 2: the doctor or at least get a free appointment next
- 5:35Speaker 2: time that we go. Sometimes, I mean I will say, oh, yeah,
- 5:37Speaker 2: you're right, a free thing.
- 5:38Speaker 3: A lot of places, if they have to cancel last minute,
- 5:40Speaker 3: they will work hard to sort of like reschedule you.
- 5:43Speaker 3: They'll give you a like preferential treatment. They're trying to
- 5:45Speaker 3: get you back in quickly. But you want financial compensation.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Well, she literally did say would you like to come
- 5:51Speaker 2: in tomorrow? And I was like, yeah, that's fine. But again,
- 5:54Speaker 2: in my head, your cancelation policy is forty eight hours. Yeah,
- 5:58Speaker 2: so I should be camp. So my appointment today should
- 6:02Speaker 2: be free.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I think this goes beyond medical professionals. I think we
- 6:06Speaker 3: should all just have cancelation policies with friends. I life, like, Uh,
- 6:11Speaker 3: somebody cancel a meeting on us today, Yeah, where's my compensation?
- 6:15Speaker 2: They should? Oh my god, I'm gonna send the invoice.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I think we're getting a little off drag.
- 6:21Speaker 3: But I do think you're onto something that a cancelation
- 6:24Speaker 3: policy should should be a two way street.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I just don't understand. It's even like hair professional. It's
- 6:30Speaker 2: like a cosmetologist. They have cancelation policies. They used to
- 6:33Speaker 2: pay fifty percent of your appointment.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Why you should at least get like a five or
- 6:38Speaker 3: ten dollars credit on your account.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so. I honestly, I think you're onto something.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I'm genuinely so glad that I don't that I'm not alone. Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 2: that you agree with me, I'm with you.
- 6:48Speaker 3: If you disagree, feel free to reach out six one five, seven,
- 6:50Speaker 3: three seven nine one o seven.
- 6:52Speaker 2: But I'm on team Zach with this one. Wow, this
- 6:54Speaker 2: is the first time ever I know.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Let's not tell she gets back three days you need.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Good morning, good morning, thank you for joining us this morning.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Not Ricky Sanchez today, but Kevin Manow has those three
- 7:06Speaker 2: things that you need to know. I do.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Thank you, Zach, and start with a sad one here.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Nashville radio legend Bill Cody passed away. He was sixty
- 7:14Speaker 3: seven years old. Bill is known around the country for
- 7:17Speaker 3: his roles as an announcer for the Grand Ole Opry
- 7:19Speaker 3: and WSM morning show host. His daughter shared the news
- 7:23Speaker 3: last month that he was in critical condition and was
- 7:25Speaker 3: waiting for a heart and kidney transplant. His passing was
- 7:28Speaker 3: announced yesterday, and since the news broke there has been
- 7:30Speaker 3: an outpouring of love from the country music community. Garth Brooks,
- 7:35Speaker 3: Carly Pearson, Dirk s Bentley were among the many to
- 7:37Speaker 3: share loving words.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Dirks wrote quote, Bill was.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Just as important to the fabric of our music in
- 7:42Speaker 3: city as any artist, songwriter or musician. That's high praise.
- 7:46Speaker 3: He was very loved, very influential, and he will be missed.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Now on to a love story. Apparently things are going really,
- 7:55Speaker 3: really well between Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister
- 7:58Speaker 3: Justin Trudeau. They just made their red carpet debut as
- 8:01Speaker 3: a couple at the New York premiere of Katie's new tour. Documentary.
- 8:04Speaker 3: They've been dating for a year now, which is crazy.
- 8:07Speaker 3: They were first linked together last summer. It feels like
- 8:10Speaker 3: it just happened. Katie did a Q and A after
- 8:12Speaker 3: the movie and said that she met the love of
- 8:14Speaker 3: her life and that she feels like a more grounded
- 8:17Speaker 3: person these days. The big the love of her life,
- 8:21Speaker 3: the two of them. I did not expect it to
- 8:22Speaker 3: go this far, but here we are.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I didn't either, especially after she's had a lot of
- 8:26Speaker 2: loves of life.
- 8:27Speaker 3: By the way, Katie said her new concert movie will
- 8:30Speaker 3: be in theaters later this year. So Ricky is always
- 8:33Speaker 3: talking about like weird new food collabse and strange creations,
- 8:36Speaker 3: so in her absence, I couldn't ignore this. Eminem has
- 8:39Speaker 3: just announced a new banana nut bread flavor of Eminem.
- 8:44Speaker 2: That actually sounds so good.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I guess they've had banana flavored Eminem's in Australia for years,
- 8:48Speaker 3: but this is a brand new product for us here
- 8:50Speaker 3: in the States. It's not clear how long these will
- 8:52Speaker 3: be available, but if it sounds good to you too,
- 8:54Speaker 3: they are a limited release, so grab them if you
- 8:56Speaker 3: see them.
- 8:57Speaker 4: I think they're exclusive to Kroger stores.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Keep Mine Savorite grocery store. Exactly. There you go. Three
- 9:03Speaker 2: things you now know.
- 9:04Speaker 3: We are going to learn something together on this Wednesday morning,
- 9:07Speaker 3: just a few minutes.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Zach's facts.
- 9:09Speaker 8: Next last is in Sessions SAX Facts, brought to you
- 9:14Speaker 8: by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 9:15Speaker 2: On hy Kevin, did you know that one single human
- 9:20Speaker 2: tooth contains roughly thirty six calories? What apparently each tooth
- 9:28Speaker 2: has thirty six calories in it?
- 9:29Speaker 3: Why would anyone know that? Why would anyone need to
- 9:31Speaker 3: know that? Is somebody eating teeth?
- 9:33Speaker 2: So unfortunately, the morbid part of it is it was
- 9:36Speaker 2: to understand the role of cannibalism. So yes, they were
- 9:39Speaker 2: eating teeth and that's why they did the research. It's
- 9:42Speaker 2: one of the lowest calorie count of any body part.
- 9:44Speaker 3: I have never been more scared of you in my life.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Get away from me.
- 9:48Speaker 2: There's your fact of the day.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Ricky is Zach and manno in the morning on.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Who are you named after? That's our question this morning.
- 9:58Speaker 3: It's one oh seven five the river. Zach and I
- 10:00Speaker 3: were having a conversation about this because he saw a
- 10:02Speaker 3: list of is it baby names like today in twenty
- 10:05Speaker 3: twenty six?
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah, in twenty twenty six, people are being named after
- 10:08Speaker 2: movies like Cape, Pop t Man Hunters, or TV shows
- 10:11Speaker 2: like Friends in Grey's Anatomy, like different characters from sure,
- 10:15Speaker 2: different shows or movies? Interesting?
- 10:17Speaker 3: Who are you named after? Whoever it is? If it's
- 10:19Speaker 3: a grandparents, a relative character from a movie? Six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine,
- 10:25Speaker 3: one oh seven, We want to hear the story behind
- 10:27Speaker 3: your name.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning one.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Seven Kelly in Columbia on the line, Kelly, We asked
- 10:36Speaker 3: the question who were you named after?
- 10:38Speaker 7: Yeah, so, my mom's best friend in college, who she
- 10:41Speaker 7: met in her sorority.
- 10:43Speaker 5: She loved her name Kelly, and so she wanted to
- 10:46Speaker 5: name her daughter after her. So my mom named me Kelly.
- 10:50Speaker 5: And a really cool.
- 10:51Speaker 7: Fact after that, my she's she had twin daughters, and
- 10:55Speaker 7: then I had twin daughters. So naming your daughter Kelly,
- 10:58Speaker 7: you might get twins out of it.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing.
- 11:02Speaker 2: It's kind of scary. Yeah, can that's a lot. Wait,
- 11:06Speaker 2: so are you saying the original Kelly is the one
- 11:08Speaker 2: that had twins.
- 11:09Speaker 7: Yes, the original Kelly had twins, and.
- 11:11Speaker 5: Then me, twenty five years later, I had twins that
- 11:15Speaker 5: that I don't know, just part of it.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Are you friends with the original Kelly?
- 11:19Speaker 4: Yes, wow, that's cool.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 11:22Speaker 7: She's also from Columbia and her twin daughters are actually
- 11:25Speaker 7: my age now, and both of her twin daughters have names, and.
- 11:29Speaker 5: My twin daughters both have m names.
- 11:31Speaker 2: WHOA, the plot thickens. This is nuts.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yeah all right, well, thank you for sharing that story
- 11:36Speaker 3: with us, Kelly.
- 11:36Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 11:37Speaker 6: Thanks for letting me share it.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Appreciate it right now, Kristin and Bowling Green is on
- 11:41Speaker 3: the line. Now, Kristin, let me guess who you're named after.
- 11:44Speaker 3: You were named after Kristin Bell.
- 11:46Speaker 6: No, I'm actually named after my dad. But I was
- 11:48Speaker 6: calling about my daughter's name.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Oh okay, what is her name? I missed this whole thing.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Her name is Roxy and this is my favorite story
- 11:57Speaker 6: to tell. My great grandmother's name is and I had
- 12:01Speaker 6: that name picked out from the moment I was Pregnanent.
- 12:03Speaker 6: I ended up happened my daughter two months early due
- 12:07Speaker 6: to health issues, and she was born on my grandma's birthday.
- 12:10Speaker 2: That's actually really cool. That is an awesome story.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah, wow, well, thank you for sharing that with us. Kristen,
- 12:17Speaker 3: have a great day.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Thank you, thanks Patha.
- 12:20Speaker 4: I mean those stories are very meaningful.
- 12:21Speaker 3: The reason we got on this is because I found
- 12:23Speaker 3: a list of baby names. People are being named after
- 12:25Speaker 3: characters from movies, so maybe a little less meaningful, but
- 12:28Speaker 3: still cool.
- 12:29Speaker 2: I mean it may be meaningful to them. So I
- 12:31Speaker 2: will say that number one at the top of the
- 12:34Speaker 2: list is K Pop Demon Hunters. Apparently a lot of
- 12:36Speaker 2: babies are being named Roomy oh really from the movie
- 12:40Speaker 2: and Zoe as well. Also, they put on the list
- 12:45Speaker 2: Monica from Friends and Ross and Troy from High School Musical.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Here's my question, though, Like Monica, Ross and Troy are
- 12:54Speaker 3: just kind of regular names, how do we know that
- 12:57Speaker 3: babies being born in twenty twenty six named Mynica are
- 13:01Speaker 3: after Monica from Friends.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I mean, they just simply have to be.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Well, no, they don't just have to be.
- 13:06Speaker 2: There are other who just is like, you know what,
- 13:09Speaker 2: I'm pregnant. Let me name this baby Monica.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Monica is a perfectly normal name. That makes sense.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I've never met a baby named Monica. Only adults. That's
- 13:17Speaker 2: actually so weird to me. I've never met a baby
- 13:19Speaker 2: named Monica. This is insane.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Six one, five, seven, three, seventh nine, one O seven.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Who are you named after? We want to hear the story.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Ricky is Zach and manno in the morning on.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Jamie in Clarksville is on the line. It's one O
- 13:34Speaker 3: seven to five the river. We've been getting to know
- 13:36Speaker 3: you this morning asking who you are named after? Uh, Zach,
- 13:39Speaker 3: do you want to guess who Jamie is named after?
- 13:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna say Jamie from the uh those insurance commercials.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I was thinking Jamie Lynzkiars or what about uh, Jamie Fox.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Maybe I'm actually a little older.
- 13:52Speaker 8: My mam and dad named me after the Bionic Woman.
- 13:56Speaker 2: The Bionic Woman.
- 13:58Speaker 8: My mom she was like, you were going to be
- 14:01Speaker 8: a handful when you when you were in it was like,
- 14:04Speaker 8: so thankurd, I go for a strong female.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I love that that you're named after Jamie Summers, which,
- 14:11Speaker 2: if you're not familiar with the name, she's like a
- 14:13Speaker 2: former professional tennis star. She suffered like a near fatal
- 14:16Speaker 2: injury during a skydiving accident.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Hold on, but this is a this is a character
- 14:20Speaker 3: from a TV show, Just so you know, because I
- 14:22Speaker 3: know Zach just googled it and he's reciting this information
- 14:25Speaker 3: like he knows it. But he's reading and it's a
- 14:27Speaker 3: fictional thing, right, Yes, so.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I know Jamie Summers plays the Bionic Woman. Yeah,
- 14:38Speaker 2: this is cool.
- 14:39Speaker 3: That's a I like that one a lot. That is
- 14:41Speaker 3: a strong character to be named after. I do love
- 14:43Speaker 3: that your.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Mom like knew already inside you were like, oh, this
- 14:46Speaker 2: one's gonna be one we got to deal with.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and she was not wrong.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I feel that well, Jamie, thank you so much for calling.
- 14:54Speaker 2: We appreciate you. A good day.
- 14:59Speaker 4: I love that you were trying to play that off
- 15:00Speaker 4: like you just had this information about this tennis player.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I literally thought he was a real person.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Savannah in Madison is on the line now, Savannah, we've
- 15:11Speaker 3: been guessing who people are named after. You were named
