- 0:00Speaker 1: I have, you know, one of those.
- 0:04Speaker 2: It's Radio from Hell. With another list, because people love
- 0:08Speaker 2: a good list X ninety six.
- 0:11Speaker 1: The list of the nation's most haunted places. So each
- 0:15Speaker 1: state is listed with their most haunted place.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Most haunted.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Yeah, we got through part of the list yesterday. Let
- 0:23Speaker 1: me continue the list, although let me revisit the Utah
- 0:26Speaker 1: one because there was some confusion with it.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it was confusingly written.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Let me read it again a little slower, and then
- 0:35Speaker 1: I think you'll get it.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Okay, wait a minute, let me okay, read it slow.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Most haunted place in Utah is Moon Lake. This is
- 0:43Speaker 1: a list from Thrillist. By the way, if you go
- 0:47Speaker 1: to a place like Utah's Mountain Meadows massacre site, you
- 0:50Speaker 1: shouldn't be too surprised when you hear the voices of
- 0:52Speaker 1: one hundred plus people slain by a militia in the
- 0:55Speaker 1: eighteen fifties. It's right in the name. But imagine you
- 0:58Speaker 1: found a great life lakeside campsite in one of the
- 1:02Speaker 1: Uinta Mountains. So these are two different place, Okay, A
- 1:05Speaker 1: serene patch of mountain bliss in a state loaded with
- 1:08Speaker 1: natural beauty. Suddenly you're confronted by a young, dripping, shivering
- 1:12Speaker 1: girl with bluish skin looking for help, and then as
- 1:15Speaker 1: you panic, she suddenly disappears in broad daylight. God, the
- 1:19Speaker 1: Blue Lake Ghost appears at all hours to campers, hikers, fishers.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Some people simply hear her wailing in the woods. I
- 1:26Speaker 1: have never heard of this, of no work.
- 1:30Speaker 4: So it's Moon Moon.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Lake, separate from where the Mountain Meadows massacre was, which, yes,
- 1:40Speaker 1: I don't know why they mentioned that, but yeah, now
- 1:43Speaker 1: we'll skip back to Georgia.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:46Speaker 1: The Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta. Built in the eighteen fifties,
- 1:51Speaker 1: Atlanta's Oakland Cemetery is the city's oldest largest cemetery. Among
- 1:56Speaker 1: the most haunted places in Georgia, the cemetery includes a
- 1:59Speaker 1: Confederate brand where visitors insist they have seen uniformed soldiers
- 2:04Speaker 1: wandering around the grounds and hanging off of the trees.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Creep in as far as you dare, but be warned.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Some have alleged to hear a Confederate Army roll call
- 2:14Speaker 1: among the tombstones and sworn that their name was on
- 2:17Speaker 1: the list.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Yeah, well, my name's Jackson, of course it was.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That Hawaii is home to fiery Luau's where island dancers
- 2:30Speaker 1: welcome you with pounding drums, native chants, lazing torches, all
- 2:34Speaker 1: of which are awesome.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Oh no, that's not it.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Not so awesome is when there are ghosts of ancient
- 2:39Speaker 1: warriors march marching through the islands armed to the teeth.
- 2:43Speaker 1: The creepiest of these is the Wayapo Valley in the
- 2:47Speaker 1: northern shore of Hawaii. They say they have seen warrior ghosts.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You guys hate this list, don't.
- 2:55Speaker 6: Well, it's just it's just it's just kind of dome
- 3:00Speaker 6: like there's ghosts.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Okay, uh right, ghosts.
- 3:04Speaker 1: People like this stuff this time of year in Idaho.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Oh, all of Idaho is London.
- 3:11Speaker 1: The old Idaho Penitentiary, Oh yeah, this prison, built in
- 3:16Speaker 1: eighteen seventy two, was closed for thirty years. Today, though,
- 3:20Speaker 1: it's a full stop tourist attraction, not unlike Alcatraze. You
- 3:23Speaker 1: could take a tour see where prisoners were held, even
- 3:26Speaker 1: get a peek at the gallows for death row. Visitors
- 3:29Speaker 1: report voices feeling heaviness. Well it's Idaho, Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 4: It's is it?
- 3:35Speaker 6: Where is it located in idahm, it's in bois What
- 3:39Speaker 6: are the safest places?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Oh? It is yeahss in Illinois, the old Juliet Prison.
- 3:47Speaker 1: These are all prisons, hotels, and cemeteries.
- 3:50Speaker 5: The Joliet Prison, the Blues Brothers opening sequence of the Blues.
- 3:54Speaker 1: There and home to John Wayne Gacy. Oh really for
- 3:59Speaker 1: a time it's it's been closed, I guess now it's
- 4:03Speaker 1: reopened for tours, similar to the one in Idaho, Indiana.
- 4:09Speaker 1: The Haunted Bridge.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Oh, it's well right there in the title haunted.
- 4:16Speaker 4: When they built it, they should have named it something else.
- 4:18Speaker 4: The Unhaunted Bridge.
- 4:19Speaker 1: The decrepit seeming concrete railroad span looks as old as
- 4:23Speaker 1: the Pyramids and is undeniably sinister, especially if you drive
- 4:27Speaker 1: beneath it at night. Locals say you might encounter the
- 4:30Speaker 1: ghost of a weeping woman who was killed on the
- 4:33Speaker 1: railroad tracks, or a drunken worker who fell into a
- 4:36Speaker 1: load of wet construction concrete and was entombed in the
- 4:39Speaker 1: bridge itself.
- 4:40Speaker 6: Oh wait a minute, a bridge in Indiana looks older
- 4:43Speaker 6: than the Pyramids.
- 4:45Speaker 4: I don't really think so.
- 4:46Speaker 1: That's that's what it says here. I'm only as good
- 4:49Speaker 1: as the information I'm given.
- 4:51Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Oh. In Iowa, it's the veliska Ax Murder House. Well
- 4:57Speaker 1: it's right there in the time again, why do you
- 4:59Speaker 1: move into the axe murder House.
- 5:01Speaker 4: I'm going to have to murder somebody with his axe.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's the aptly named home where eight people were axe
- 5:07Speaker 1: murdered in their sleep back in nineteen twelve. The case
- 5:10Speaker 1: is still unsolved, but the main suspect a traveling minister
- 5:14Speaker 1: who is at a nearby church that night and left
- 5:16Speaker 1: town early the next year.
- 5:18Speaker 6: You can't trust those itinerant ministers, you just can't.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And when they carry an axe.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's always.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Been my rule, Reverend. Why have you got an ax?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Uh Kentucky sauer Kraut Cave, I just like that. There's
- 5:31Speaker 1: a place called sour Kraut sauer Kraut Cave. Sauerkraut Cave
- 5:36Speaker 1: earned its legend because it's located beneath the Lakeland Asylum
- 5:40Speaker 1: for the Insane, an institution marred by accusations of overcrowding
- 5:44Speaker 1: and mistreatment of patients. The cave beneath it is believed
- 5:48Speaker 1: to have been an occasional escape route for inmates, but
- 5:51Speaker 1: there's also rumors of bodies being buried there. Strange visions,
- 5:55Speaker 1: ghostly voices reported by.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Many who now what I want to know is why
- 5:59Speaker 4: it's called.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Well, there was an angry German. German lived in it.
- 6:06Speaker 5: There was an angry German named Dave.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Another sour crowd in this case exactly.
- 6:13Speaker 3: This show is so political.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I just really really is. I'm looking for something that's
- 6:20Speaker 1: not a cemetery. Okay, here, Maryland Coffin Rock. The blair
- 6:25Speaker 1: Witch project still pulls tourists to Birkettsville, Maryland. To find
- 6:29Speaker 1: where most of the film was shot. You need to
- 6:31Speaker 1: head to the Black Hills Forest, about twenty minutes west
- 6:33Speaker 1: of town to find Coffin Rock. It's the large flat
- 6:36Speaker 1: rock near the creek. It's where a Maryland search party
- 6:40Speaker 1: went missing in eighteen eighty six looking for an eight
- 6:42Speaker 1: year old child. The kid eventually returned to town. The
- 6:45Speaker 1: search party did not. The second search party found disemboweled
- 6:50Speaker 1: bodies bound at the hands and feet on Coffin Rock.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Those bodies later vanished.
- 6:54Speaker 4: That's never good.
- 6:55Speaker 1: When the search party returned with backup help. Local legend
- 6:58Speaker 1: attributes all of this to these so called blair Witch
- 7:01Speaker 1: It's it's all that. It's yes, but that rock where
- 7:06Speaker 1: they filmed is there. You can you can go, Hey, look,
- 7:11Speaker 1: it's a big flat rock, the Lizzie board and Bed
- 7:15Speaker 1: and Breakfast. Where do we hear yesterday that that's going
- 7:18Speaker 1: to be.
- 7:18Speaker 5: The I told you yeah, which was what it's the new?
- 7:22Speaker 1: Uh?
- 7:22Speaker 3: What's that series? Ed Dean Ryan or Monster Monsters? They're
- 7:26Speaker 3: going to do board Lizzie Boardon.
- 7:29Speaker 1: This is Lizzie Borden hacked up her parents with an
- 7:31Speaker 1: axe back in eighteen ninety two. I don't know. There's
- 7:33Speaker 1: some question as to whether she did it or not.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You can, I guess, stay in this house. It's a
- 7:39Speaker 1: bed and breakfast. Now on your visit, you'll stay in
- 7:42Speaker 1: the Boarden's home, eat their last meal Johnny cakes and eggs,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and sleep in the bedroom where the body of Lizzie's
- 7:50Speaker 1: stepmother was found.
- 7:51Speaker 6: I love you cakes, but yeah, you can stay there.
- 7:56Speaker 6: And they also let you chop wood with the X.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Let's see. How about Minnesota? The Wolbosha Street Caves de
- 8:12Speaker 1: Minnesota is home to as many haunts as it has lakes.
- 8:15Speaker 1: One of the creepiest and most accessible is the Wobosha
- 8:18Speaker 1: Street Caves. It's an underground speakeasy from the thirties. It
- 8:23Speaker 1: still hosts weddings and parties so good that the original
- 8:26Speaker 1: folks never seem to have left, uh huh from the
- 8:29Speaker 1: bootlegging days, So apparently these are happy ghosts, they say.
- 8:34Speaker 1: People have reported seeing very dapper guests roaming the halls,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and the ghost of a bartender and a madam.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I just don't believe any of that.
- 8:43Speaker 3: You know what's more frightening.
- 8:46Speaker 5: More than four and ten Americans believe in ghosts, demons,
- 8:49Speaker 5: and other supernatural beings.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Really, yeah, yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Why are you ruining this time of year for people?
- 8:58Speaker 1: Let them have it? This them have it?
- 9:01Speaker 3: Well, you can have it.
- 9:02Speaker 4: I'll let them have it. I'll let them have it.
- 9:05Speaker 3: I think you over estimate my importance.
- 9:08Speaker 4: You can let you listen. We can let them have it.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Doesn't mean that we have to have it.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I mean I always like the questions though, were people
- 9:16Speaker 1: like where are the modernly dressed ghosts? Yeah, like from
- 9:21Speaker 1: the seventies there are people, or even the eighties or
- 9:24Speaker 1: the nineties. Why are they all? Maybe these are ghost
- 9:28Speaker 1: rules that we will understand someday when we're.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Gone, when we're ghosts, we'll.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Go Oh, now I get it, now, I get weather.
- 9:34Speaker 5: All if you go to a waiting area for welcome
- 9:37Speaker 5: to ghost World.
- 9:38Speaker 1: For one hundred years then you can it's your turn, and.
- 9:44Speaker 3: All right, that's good?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Is that good enough? I'd say that you guys aren't
- 9:49Speaker 1: into it.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Sorry, we just we don't believe any of this.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Have some fun.
- 9:54Speaker 2: We've hoped you'd enjoyed. Another list with Radio from Hell
- 9:58Speaker 2: on X ninety six.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Hate fun. I don't hate fun, but fun has never
- 10:05Speaker 6: ever ever spoken well of me.
- 10:07Speaker 1: No, no, this, here's somebody that's been there. The old
- 10:11Speaker 1: Idaho State Prison. You can see a ghost guard walking
- 10:14Speaker 1: back and forth along the watch tower building.
- 10:16Speaker 4: I'm sure that's the case.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Okay, traffic, most of those earlier accidents that were weather
- 10:28Speaker 1: related look like they have cleared up. I haven't had
- 10:30Speaker 1: anything reported by you DOT in the last forty five
- 10:33Speaker 1: minutes or so. Let's go with that. Let's say things
- 10:35Speaker 1: are better now, things aren't better, Feel free to share
- 10:38Speaker 1: that with us at three eight six.
- 10:42Speaker 5: All right, and a guy just reminded me about in Disneyland,
- 10:49Speaker 5: a woman died, oh yeah, after riding the Haunted Mansion
- 10:54Speaker 5: like recently, just this week.
- 10:57Speaker 3: And so I think.
- 11:00Speaker 5: The legend is is that there's nine hundred and ninety
- 11:03Speaker 5: nine ghosts in the hauted mansion.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Well, I guess there's now a thousand.
- 11:05Speaker 6: I oh, well, you know what. I think she probably
- 11:09Speaker 6: died when the ride broke down, as it usually does,
- 11:12Speaker 6: and she just gave up the ghost as they say.
- 11:16Speaker 1: How did she die?
- 11:17Speaker 5: Uh, I'm guessing it's probably hard at time like that,
- 11:21Speaker 5: natural causes.
- 11:22Speaker 6: I was watching a movie one time in Pennsylvania, Harry
- 11:26Speaker 6: and Tonto was that a movie? And I heard this
- 11:28Speaker 6: commotion behind me, and I turned around and this rather
- 11:32Speaker 6: large woman stood up and blood foam started coming out
- 11:36Speaker 6: of her mouth and she dropped dead in the aisle
- 11:38Speaker 6: of the theater. That was really the strangest thing. You
- 11:43Speaker 6: can't imagine, I mean, just to watch somebody die like
- 11:46Speaker 6: that right in front of you. It was just I mean,
- 11:49Speaker 6: and she wasn't even just a little you know, it
- 11:52Speaker 6: wasn't prolonged.
- 11:53Speaker 4: She was just like instantly dead.
- 11:55Speaker 3: She was just got off the ride and was unresponsive.
- 12:00Speaker 5: So Anaheim Fire and Rescue were called in and she
- 12:02Speaker 5: was pronounced dead on the seat.
- 12:03Speaker 3: And well, I'll ruined your trip. Well yeah, alright,
