Latest / The Robbie Harvey Show / The Hypocrisy of Politics and Their Followers: Dems & Reps Lie on Everything
Transcript
- 0:00I'm going to just be very upfront with you here at the
- 0:03very beginning. If you're a Democrat, you're
- 0:06probably not going to like what I'm about to say.
- 0:10But also, if you're a Republican, well, you're
- 0:13probably not going to like what I'm about to say because I'm
- 0:17going to talk about the hypocrisy in politics and it's
- 0:21following people like you and me.
- 0:25I don't like talking about politics, but I felt that it was
- 0:28need to address what I'm about to say.
- 0:32If you're going to play the game of hypocrisy, at least own your
- 0:36own nonsense. Because let's face it, Democrats
- 0:40and Republicans are like 2 drunks arguing over who's more
- 0:45sober as a stumble out the door. That's just the state we're in
- 0:50right now. And let's start with Democrats
- 0:52because, well, why not? After all, they are the party of
- 0:56change unless it requires changing their own mind.
- 1:01Today's Democrats act like building a wall is a deadly sin.
- 1:07They're all about compassion and pathways to citizenship.
- 1:11But if you go back to Bill Clinton, yeah, that guy who
- 1:15signed the 1996 immigration reform bill where he cranked up
- 1:19deportations and fortified the border like it was Fort Knox,
- 1:25even patted himself on the back for it all.
- 1:28And Obama, Mr. Hope and Change, someone who I actually really
- 1:31liked as a president, he deported over 3 million people
- 1:37during his tenure at the White House, more than any president
- 1:41ever. They mocked him for it.
- 1:45They even called him the deporter in chief.
- 1:48The Latino community has been furious for years, saying
- 1:51President Obama has deported more undocumented workers that
- 1:54President Bush did. Their policies sound like
- 1:58something Trump would tweet about today.
- 2:01Like this tweet right here where he said send a clear message.
- 2:06Just because your kid crosses the border doesn't mean they
- 2:10stay. Wait a minute.
- 2:14Actually, Hillary Clinton said that.
- 2:16But we have to send a clear message.
- 2:18Just because your child gets across the border, that doesn't
- 2:21mean the child gets to stay. So we don't want to send a
- 2:24message that is contrary to our laws or will encourage more
- 2:29children to make that dangerous journey.
- 2:32And sanctuary cities. Democrats bent over backwards to
- 2:36protect illegal immigrants convicted of awful crimes.
- 2:41New York, Chicago. Denver are more than willing to
- 2:45let criminals walk free as long as it goes against the opposing
- 2:51policy. Whatever their opponent
- 2:54believes. Democrats go the opposite
- 2:58direction no matter what. Compassion.
- 3:01Yeah, sure, they have it for criminals.
- 3:03For victims, not so much. If protect and serve means
- 3:07shielding killers, maybe we need to rewrite that motto.
- 3:11Democrats have more sympathy for this guy than for the murder of
- 3:18this woman. And look, I get it.
- 3:21I understand the anger towards ICE.
- 3:24I, too have my issues with how they're conducting their
- 3:28business, how they're conducting these deportations.
- 3:32I'm angry about a lot of it. But whether you like her or not,
- 3:36ICE has been on a tear since January 2025, arresting a record
- 3:41number of violent criminals in our country.
- 3:45Many of those crimes are against the innocent, the ultimate
- 3:55victims. Children, nobody is asking you
- 4:00to not get upset with the administration when they do
- 4:03something foolish or stupid, but at least show some compassion
- 4:09for the victims of these criminals.
- 4:12And while we're on compassion, Republicans could use a dose for
- 4:16immigrants themselves trying to play by the rules becoming AUS
- 4:21citizen. It's a bureaucratic nightmare.
- 4:25A 20 page application full of gotchas, $725 and fees to have
- 4:31it skyrocketed 800% since the 80s.
- 4:35Plus lawyer cost if you screw up the paperwork.
- 4:38Language test, trip up non-native speakers, paperwork
- 4:42errors leading to denials. Processing drags on for years
- 4:46and years and years. One wrong move and you're on
- 4:52your way back home and your residency clock starts all over.
- 4:58You can't preach open borders one day as a country and then
- 5:01the next day flip it to mass deportations.
- 5:06You kicking folks out left and right who thought that they were
- 5:09here legally because we told them that just come on over.
- 5:13They just wanted a better life for their children or their
- 5:17family. The citizenship process is like
- 5:20a bad marriage, Expensive, complicated, and half the time
- 5:24it ends in deportation. We should have empathy, but
- 5:30Donald Trump is as about as empathetic as a shark in a
- 5:33goldfish bowl mocking a disabled reporter.
- 5:38Written by a nice reporter. Now the poor guy.
- 5:40You got to see this guy. I don't know what I said.
- 5:42I don't remember he's going to lie.
- 5:45I don't remember, baby. That's what I said.
- 5:48He's 14 years ago he still they didn't do a retraction.
- 5:51Thrashing McCain as a loser, calling immigrants animals.
- 5:58And after shootings, he attacks governors and politicians
- 6:01instead of consoling the families of victims.
- 6:06The man's ego is so big it blocks out the sun.
- 6:09No room for feeling anyone else's pain.
- 6:13Trump sympathy is like a solar eclipse.
- 6:15It's rare and mostly dark. One thing that isn't rare is the
- 6:23US military going into other countries with Hellfire and
- 6:26brimstone. Democrats today lose their minds
- 6:30at any whiff of military action under a Republican.
- 6:34But Obama, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, dropped 563 drone
- 6:39attacks during his time. That's 10 times the number of
- 6:43George Bush. He blasts away at Pakistan,
- 6:48Somalia and Yemen, killed nearly 4000 people, including 800
- 6:53civilians. He even droned American citizens
- 6:57without a trial. Where was the outrage for that?
- 7:04It's crickets for the left. But let a GOP president sneeze
- 7:11near a missile and all of a sudden they're crying war
- 7:16criminal. Really.
- 7:19Your guys's Halo doesn't make the bombs any softer.
- 7:24And while we're on attacks, don't forget that this man
- 7:27burned children alive, and he did it on American soil.
- 7:35The feds under Bill Clinton's watch, siege the Branch Davidian
- 7:39compound for 51 days, then gassed it with flammable tear
- 7:44gas. 76 people burned alive, including 25 children.
- 7:52Clinton, of course, blamed the cult leader, saying he's the one
- 7:57that murdered the children. But come on.
- 8:03Democrats scream about government overreach today, but
- 8:07back then it was just about resolving A standoff.
- 8:12And if that's not hypocrisy, then I don't know what it is.
- 8:18Kids died in flames on American soil and a left moved on like it
- 8:27was just simply a bad BBQ. Speaking of affairs, evangelical
- 8:33pastors had a field day with Bill and Monica, but today they
- 8:40preach Trump like he was the second coming.
- 8:43But when his affairs are called lies and January 6th mom is the
- 8:48word amongst the grams of this world, they'll condemn a gay
- 8:55marriage and a heartbeat, but they'll give Trump a Mulligan on
- 8:58adultery because he packs the courts like they want him to.
- 9:04That's not religion, that's church with a tax break.
- 9:11Pastors excuse Trump like it's the Pope endorsing pizza.
- 9:16Holy but full of cheese. Democrats still foam at the
- 9:22mouth over January 6th to this day.
- 9:25It is a constant talking point calling it an insurrection.
- 9:29Impeaching Trump twice over it. I get it.
- 9:31It was an embarrassing time in American history.
- 9:34I still remember that day vividly and how ashamed I was of
- 9:39our country. Fair enough, but somehow what
- 9:45we've seen in past 12 months is mostly peaceful.
- 9:51And Republicans, if you're still against left wing riots like
- 9:55what we saw in 2020 and today, which causes billions of dollars
- 10:00in damages and dozens of deaths, whether justified or not, then
- 10:05you should be just as angry about January 6th.
- 10:09But no, many of you downplay it as a tourist or legitimate
- 10:13protest, even though it was a violent mob storming the
- 10:16capital, beating cops and trying to overturn an election. 5
- 10:22people died that day, 140 officers injured, and it cost
- 10:28$2.7 million in damage. You can't condemn one side's
- 10:32chaos while excusing your own. That's not principle, that's
- 10:37simply partisanship on steroids. Oh, and Republicans, let's talk
- 10:43about the elephant in the room. Of course, pun intended.
- 10:47Or should I say the racist uncle at Thanksgiving.
- 10:52Ever since Trump got elected in 2016, hate crimes have spiked
- 10:57like a bad fever. FBI data shows that a massive
- 11:01uptick right after Trump's election in 2016 from ten
- 11:06reported racial hate crimes a day to 27 the very next day, the
- 11:12highest in 2016. Overall hate crimes jumped 5%
- 11:16that year, hitting A5 year high, then surged another 17% in 2017.
- 11:22We're talking nearly double the numbers since 2017.
- 11:26Counties that hosted Trump rallies.
- 11:28Hate crimes more than doubled compared to similar spots
- 11:33without one. Anti Latino hate crimes alone
- 11:37shot up 21% in 2018. And Trump's supporters?
- 11:43Studies show they started expressing more dehumanizing
- 11:47views toward black people post election.
- 11:52It's like Trump gave them the green light to be the awful
- 11:57human that they are. But hey, at least his rallies
- 12:02and such were high energy and at least you got him elected.
- 12:05That's all that matters, right? If that's what makes America
- 12:11great, then count me up. I hope I didn't upset all of you
- 12:21in reading that, but we will not change until both sides own
- 12:28their flaws, until both sides admit that they are wrong, until
- 12:34both sides hold themselves accountable.
- 12:38I love this country, I love all of you, and there is a lot of
- 12:42good still in it. I just hope we can find it.
