- 0:29Speaker 1: to one thirty.
- 0:30Speaker 2: We always say get there early because everybody does their
- 0:33Speaker 2: rehearsal so you get to see them. You see the
- 0:36Speaker 2: performers twice, right.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Sometimes if you get there early, you think, oh my gosh,
- 0:40Speaker 1: it started, but they're just warming up. Yeah, so you
- 0:44Speaker 1: get like like you said, two for one yeah yeah,
- 0:47Speaker 1: And we got a pretty good lineup today. You and
- 0:49Speaker 1: I will be hosting, And go ahead, do your do
- 0:52Speaker 1: the honors, okay, and tell everybody who's performing.
- 0:55Speaker 2: We have Aladdin Chicago sixth the Musical fifth, Annuel Putnam

- 1:11Speaker 1: things there too. Oh yeah, you know, don't forget about that,
- 1:14Speaker 1: a lot of great sponsors.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I'm going around for my Ricola for sure, because our
- 1:19Speaker 2: show basically is brought to you by Ricola.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Is how many times do you think you've done a
- 1:26Speaker 1: news story with Recolon?
- 1:29Speaker 2: I know was in there right now?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Do you have it right now?
- 1:31Speaker 2: I think I'm buying like at least two bags of
- 1:34Speaker 2: Ricola a week. That's my habit right now.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I don't know how you're so good at like talking.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Tucking it in. I'm like a chipmunk squirrel. Sometimes it
- 1:42Speaker 2: misses me up a little because you shouldn't have anything
- 1:44Speaker 2: in your mouth when you're trying to talk on the radio.
- 1:47Speaker 1: But you do it with grace. Thank you, You're flawless.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I try to remove it without looking too gross and
- 1:53Speaker 2: then go right back to it. But yeah, it's it's wonderful.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It saves my throat.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you'll be able to meet Christine today.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Oh, thank you, Paul Cubby Bryant. We'll get to meet you.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Too, and we'll take our selfies with people. And again
- 2:06Speaker 1: it's absolutely free. So we will see you later on
- 2:09Speaker 1: today at Broadway and Bryan Park. Everything else is good
- 2:11Speaker 1: with you, Christine status quo. Yes, yeah, I'm feeling pretty good.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I was worried. I was worried full disclosure about the weather.
- 2:18Speaker 1: But they're saying mainly cloudy and just a possible small shower,
- 2:22Speaker 1: so by all means not a wash out today.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yes, it's going to happen rain or shine, but we
- 2:27Speaker 2: don't think there's really going to be rain. But it's
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think this is working in our favor because it
- 2:31Speaker 2: can get it can get hot, and we're going to
- 2:34Speaker 2: be cloudy, a little more cloudy today, right, How.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Many times have we done this event when it's ninety
- 2:39Speaker 1: eight degrees?
- 2:41Speaker 2: Many?
- 2:42Speaker 1: And today is going to be kind of perfect in
- 2:44Speaker 1: the temperature.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Department and you could bring your blanket and that's right.
- 2:47Speaker 1: No, just relax, Yeah, we'll see it's free Bryant Park today.
- 2:51Speaker 3: More Covey and Christine and a great music variety you
- 2:54Speaker 3: expect next on light at them.
- 2:57Speaker 4: I need to tell you too, Cobe Christine's two pretty
- 3:02Speaker 4: cool things.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I found this pretty cool Christine to ensure the Queen
- 3:06Speaker 1: receives her food on time. The clocks in the royal
- 3:09Speaker 1: kitchen at Windsor Castle are set five minutes ahead. Okay,
- 3:15Speaker 1: such a small piece of trivia, but I find it
- 3:18Speaker 1: quite amazing.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Can we do that in my house?
- 3:20Speaker 1: You get your meals on time?
- 3:21Speaker 2: I found the one who's preparing the food, so I
- 3:23Speaker 2: guess it doesn't matter.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Well, producer person was telling me her clock in her
- 3:26Speaker 1: car is five minutes ahead. Just oh, keep you on
- 3:29Speaker 1: your toes to get to your destination on time.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I do that to myself in the bathroom. I have
- 3:33Speaker 2: a little clock in the bathroom, so I do my
- 3:35Speaker 2: makeup and time to get here.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Oh yes, and it keeps you on your toes.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Right sort of. But then I know I've got that
- 3:41Speaker 2: five minutes.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I see what you're saying. What's your cool thing?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Well, Knicks fans, this is your chance to own a
- 3:47Speaker 2: piece of Championship history. The city is auctioning off one
- 3:51Speaker 2: of the champions Way signs that hung along the Canyon
- 3:54Speaker 2: of Heroes last month during the Knick's ticker Tape parade.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Bidding for the sign is beginning one hundred dollars. I'm
- 4:01Speaker 2: sure there's already bids because it has already swelled to
- 4:05Speaker 2: over seven thousand dollars. There we go, and I mean
- 4:08Speaker 2: they just opened the bidding yet. Wait July twenty ninth, yesterday,
- 4:12Speaker 2: so we're already over seven thousand. But hey, if you
- 4:14Speaker 2: want that sign, you have until August twelfth to bid online.
- 4:18Speaker 2: It's NYC Citywide Administrative Services Auction. I mean, just search
- 4:24Speaker 2: the Champion's Way sign and you'll you'll get to the site.
- 4:27Speaker 1: What do you think we'll get up to? Just take
- 4:29Speaker 1: a wild guess? Oh my gosh, it was a pretty undred.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Thousand one day and it's got like twelve or thirteen days.
- 4:36Speaker 2: You think it's gonna be tens of thousands?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Do you think we'll be north of fifty thousand?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Wow?
- 4:41Speaker 1: Maybe it will be maybe north of one hundred thousand.
- 4:44Speaker 2: No, I don't know.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Final two weeks people shock me.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I they had money, money, people have money for I
- 4:50Speaker 2: don't know how this happens, but good for you.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Hey, we have Hillary Duff contract tickets you can win
- 4:55Speaker 1: at seven to twenty five this morning.
- 4:57Speaker 3: More Covey and Christine and the Great Music Variety.
- 5:00Speaker 4: What do you expect next?
- 5:01Speaker 2: On light them?
- 5:02Speaker 1: It's one of six point seven at them. Good morning.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It's Broadway and Bryant Park Day. Cubby and Christine will
- 5:08Speaker 1: be there later today. We're celebrating that. And bring a chili.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Dog while you're at it.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It's National Chili Dog Day. It is yeah, International Day
- 5:17Speaker 1: of Friendship. I appreciate you friend, Christine and Kristin. Yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 1: you guys too, Share a hug day, A good day
- 5:23Speaker 1: to hug it out. National Cheesecake Day, yum, National Father
- 5:28Speaker 1: in Law Day. Why not have some cheesecake or a
- 5:31Speaker 1: chili dog with your father in law.
- 5:33Speaker 2: You guys are good, you and your father in law.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yeah, he's great. He brings you know what he does.
- 5:38Speaker 1: He drops off things randomly at the house, and there
- 5:40Speaker 1: are always things we're thinking about that we need. And
- 5:42Speaker 1: I don't know how he knows. It's almost like a
- 5:45Speaker 1: clickbait on Facebook, like you think about it and then
- 5:47Speaker 1: it shows up in your feed.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah, all of a sudden, toilet paper will be at
- 5:50Speaker 1: our front like door. And he went to a flea
- 5:53Speaker 1: market and bought toilet paper.
- 5:54Speaker 2: We can always use that.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a National paperback book Day. Oh, was the
- 6:00Speaker 1: last time you read any kind of book? Christine?
- 6:02Speaker 2: My goodness. You know I always always was in the
- 6:05Speaker 2: middle of a book, and I haven't been lately.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I read a book last night, you did because of
- 6:09Speaker 1: the kids?
- 6:10Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, what book was it?
- 6:11Speaker 1: It was called thunder roris Christine thunder Orris. It's about
- 6:15Speaker 1: a car that turns into basically a big monster truck
- 6:20Speaker 1: and he turns into thunder Ors.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And do you act it out for the kids?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Well, Miles, my son does not like it.
- 6:26Speaker 2: If you don't.
- 6:27Speaker 1: When I read, yeah, he'll pick me apart. Oh I
- 6:30Speaker 1: need to read kind of normal.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:32Speaker 1: If I go and thunder Orris came alive, if I
- 6:36Speaker 1: start doing the yay voice, no, no, no, no no,
- 6:39Speaker 1: you don't like that, Calm it down, calm it down.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Yeah. So Naomi's cool. I kind of acted out with
- 6:44Speaker 1: her a little bit.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yeah, she's she's into your performance. Okay, that's good. She's
- 6:49Speaker 2: encouraging you. Do you know there is a you always
- 6:52Speaker 2: hear these stories a guy. Let's see this is in Wales.
- 6:55Speaker 2: A man has returned two overdue books to the library
- 6:58Speaker 2: in Wales out by his grandfather in nineteen ten.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, Oh that was.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Very nice of him to return because I think he
- 7:07Speaker 2: could have gotten away with keeping them at that point.
- 7:09Speaker 1: What was a lafy on that twenty five thousand dollars.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I don't know, because you've heard these stories before about
- 7:15Speaker 1: like maybe forty fifty years. Yeah, but well this is
- 7:17Speaker 1: one hundred and sixteen ten, Yeah, one hundred and sixty years.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I know we have two books.
- 7:23Speaker 1: By the way, I'm a member of the East Brunswick
- 7:26Speaker 1: Public Library. Oh nice, and actually take the kids there
- 7:28Speaker 1: from time to time, huh, because you can, you know,
- 7:30Speaker 1: obviously read books, but they also have color ing, and
- 7:32Speaker 1: they have the computers you can play on. Oh and
- 7:34Speaker 1: they have like even playto It's so much different than
- 7:37Speaker 1: it was when we were kids.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Do they still have reading circles? I remember having that.
- 7:40Speaker 1: They do. They actually have a little sign up where
- 7:43Speaker 1: you know, you can put your name down and the
- 7:44Speaker 1: next ones at two pm or whatever.
- 7:46Speaker 2: That's so nice.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But I found out like two weeks ago that we
- 7:50Speaker 1: have two books that have not returned in their kids'
- 7:53Speaker 1: books and I have no idea where they are.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Boom boom.
- 7:57Speaker 1: And the good news is there's no penalty if it's
- 8:00Speaker 1: a children's book. Okay, so technically I can keep it
- 8:03Speaker 1: for as long as I want. But if I if
- 8:05Speaker 1: I declare it lost, yeah, it's going to be I
- 8:08Speaker 1: think forty dollars a book, So so eighty bucks for me. Oh,
- 8:13Speaker 1: I'm doing I.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Find those books.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yes, The two books I'm looking for are what does
- 8:18Speaker 1: a bulldozer do all day?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Huh?
- 8:20Speaker 1: And what does a construction worker do all day? And
- 8:22Speaker 1: we want to know two separate books, but both kind
- 8:25Speaker 1: of involve construction.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Yeah, so you have a theme.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I'm tearing up the house for the next few months.
- 8:30Speaker 1: So we find this.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Can't you get you know, like if you want DVDs
- 8:34Speaker 2: you can get movies.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You can you can still do that at the library.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Music.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Do they have music for you too, like instruments.
- 8:42Speaker 2: No, I'm thinking like old school CDs or something they do.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I've seen that, and I often wonder who checks
- 8:46Speaker 1: those out because we don't really have a CD or
- 8:49Speaker 1: DVD player. There are people.
- 8:51Speaker 2: People who have them, Yeah, especially like you know, if
- 8:54Speaker 2: your cable goes out, here's an old school DVD player. Yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 2: you can watch a movie.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I'm telling you. If you haven't, if you have been
- 9:00Speaker 1: to your public library in a long time, do it.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It's it's kind of nice. Yeah, I just can't check
- 9:04Speaker 1: out any more books because I have two of their.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You're wanted to?
- 9:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to picture up on the wall more
- 9:10Speaker 3: Cobby and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Next on light FM one.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Was six point seven light FM Cubby Christine producer Kristen
- 9:19Speaker 1: on this Bryant Park Thursday, Broadway of Ryant Park kicking
- 9:22Speaker 1: off in about six hours. So as a favorite of
- 9:27Speaker 1: my family. You know how you packed before a trip. Yeah,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you want to get ahead of the schedule, start packing
- 9:32Speaker 1: early like we did for Tyler.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah you did.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Yeah. Should I just start cleaning out the house for
- 9:37Speaker 1: my death?
- 9:38Speaker 2: It's just going to do the sweetish death cleans? Is
- 9:40Speaker 2: that what it's called?
- 9:41Speaker 1: Look, Christine, I hope I have a good forty years left. Yeah,
- 9:45Speaker 1: but apparently it's better to declutter now.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Do it now, because yes, who knows.
- 9:50Speaker 1: My kids don't want to deal with all large junks.
- 9:52Speaker 2: They don't like. So professional organizers are really into this
- 9:55Speaker 2: in a big way, Kubby, and they're saying, your kids
- 9:57Speaker 2: don't want your stuff. You know a lot of people
- 10:01Speaker 2: are like, I'm saving this for you, and they have
- 10:03Speaker 2: kind of bizarre collections they don't want it.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Maybe some of the stuff.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Though that na I listen. I've talked to my niece
- 10:10Speaker 2: and my nephews. I have stuff that I think is
- 10:12Speaker 2: really cool from my parents, like dating back to the
- 10:15Speaker 2: nineteen fifties, these beautiful Christmas ornaments, all this stuff. They
- 10:18Speaker 2: don't want it. Wow, they just plan on don't want it.
- 10:21Speaker 2: They don't want stuff. They're minimalless.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Wow.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Which is great for them, great for them yet, but
- 10:26Speaker 2: not so good for us because for those of us
- 10:28Speaker 2: who are like put sentimental value, we should get rid
- 10:31Speaker 2: of it sooner rather than later. Forty five percent of
- 10:34Speaker 2: us feel like we are running out of space in
- 10:36Speaker 2: our home. Sixty five percent of us are frustrated because
- 10:39Speaker 2: our stuff is not organized. That that's with us, And
- 10:42Speaker 2: let's go even higher, yeah, ninety nine percent. So yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 2: we're actually we're finding that kids are annoyed by having
- 10:51Speaker 2: to clean out a relative's house or their parents' house.
- 10:55Speaker 1: One thing I will say, My dad is ninety five,
- 10:57Speaker 1: and about two years ago we downsized him from his
- 10:59Speaker 1: town home to an independent living place. And you're right,
- 11:03Speaker 1: there are a lot of things we did not want. Yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 1: but he also gave me like something I had to
- 11:08Speaker 1: take care of for him. That's worth a lot. He
- 11:10Speaker 1: has like three hundred autographed baseballs from Whoa over the years. Yes,
- 11:17Speaker 1: and they're in a case and he gave those to
- 11:19Speaker 1: me early, and I have them in our home and
- 11:22Speaker 1: I have a blanket over them. I'm I'm not even
- 11:24Speaker 1: showcasing them. Yeah, I really have no room to showcase them. Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I want to keep them away from the sun and
- 11:30Speaker 1: make sure they're taking care of for years to come.
- 11:32Speaker 2: So they could be very valuable.
- 11:33Speaker 1: The valuable things, I'll take care of them all you want, right,
- 11:37Speaker 1: But yeah, some things you don't want.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, because people are saying, like some of the weird
- 11:41Speaker 2: stuff they've inherited. Somebody inherited a bale of cotton signed
- 11:45Speaker 2: by John Wayne.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Well, why that sounds actually that could be worth something.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It sounds like it could. I mean, yeah, if you
- 11:52Speaker 2: find John Wayne collectors, right, you got to find the
- 11:54Speaker 2: right collectors. A pure gold butter knife, Roman artifacts from
- 11:59Speaker 2: three hundred eight. Okay, somebody was collecting a jacket from
- 12:03Speaker 2: a well known nineteen seventies country music outlaw. A giant,
- 12:07Speaker 2: garage sized painting of a dog. Yeah, sometimes the artwork,
- 12:11Speaker 2: A pair of lamps in the shape of legs, a
- 12:13Speaker 2: clear glass donkey that doubles as a beer mug, marionettes
- 12:17Speaker 2: from the eighteen hundreds made of clamshell paper, and antique
- 12:20Speaker 2: dentist chair, and a statue of Abraham Lincoln. These were
- 12:23Speaker 2: just some of the examples that were cited.
- 12:26Speaker 1: This is the best estate sale ever. Uh. Yeah, it
- 12:29Speaker 1: leads me to the question, Actually, we'll throw it out
- 12:31Speaker 1: there four four three sixty three. Give us a text
- 12:34Speaker 1: if you've inherited anything from your parents that maybe you're
- 12:38Speaker 1: kind of like proud of or maybe you're maybe laughing
- 12:41Speaker 1: at inside, but you're holding onto.
- 12:43Speaker 2: It the weirdest thing. Four four three sixty three. We
- 12:45Speaker 2: did already get one text from nine to seven three.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I gave my forty year old son my mom's silver
- 12:50Speaker 2: plate flatwear and he got rid of it.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Oh that's mean.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Well I know that that it had to hurt. But
- 12:57Speaker 2: they don't want it. I'm telling you because that's probab
- 13:00Speaker 2: probably like the age of my niece and my nephews. Right,
- 13:02Speaker 2: they're not into that stuff at all.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Four four three six three. Hit us up. All right,
- 13:07Speaker 1: what do you have coming up in the news, Christine.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Let's check out the headlines and guys, if you want
- 13:10Speaker 2: a date, will it help you to pose with your cat?
- 13:13Speaker 3: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Next on Light at Them six fifty nine. Everything you
- 13:20Speaker 1: need to know right now with Christine Aggy.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Good morning Christine, Good morning Covey. And a very sad
- 13:24Speaker 2: story out of Passaic, New Jersey, where a pair of
- 13:26Speaker 2: ten year olds were missing in the Passaic River and
- 13:29Speaker 2: sadly one body of a ten year old boy has
- 13:33Speaker 2: been found. The other is a ten year old girl
- 13:36Speaker 2: and she is presumed to not be alive at this point,
- 13:39Speaker 2: but the search does continue. This morning, they were just
- 13:41Speaker 2: at the river and there had been so much rain
- 13:45Speaker 2: the water level of the Pasaic River triggered some very
- 13:48Speaker 2: strong currents. China is reportedly sending some four hundred handheld
- 13:53Speaker 2: missile launchers too. Iran Reuter says he Ran purchased hundreds
- 13:56Speaker 2: of shoulder fired air defense systems along with ES missiles
- 14:01Speaker 2: for about seventy million dollars, expected to receive the first
- 14:03Speaker 2: shipment within weeks. Cyclosporiasis that parasitic infection which has been
- 14:11Speaker 2: linked to some stomach issues. To say the least apparently
- 14:15Speaker 2: is spreading now. Forty five states have reported it sixty
- 14:17Speaker 2: seven hundred labbed confirmed cases so far. CDC is investigating
- 14:24Speaker 2: in eleven thousand others, and they still really don't know
- 14:28Speaker 2: the source.
- 14:29Speaker 1: That's the scary part right there.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it just seems to be continuing. Door Dash is
- 14:33Speaker 2: going to be launching door Dash Air. Not sure exactly
- 14:36Speaker 2: when this happens, but you could be receiving your food
- 14:39Speaker 2: via drone very soon. No winner in last night's Powerball
- 14:43Speaker 2: jackpot for Saturday that will now be seven hundred and
- 14:46Speaker 2: seven million dollars. In sports, the Mets had a doubleheader
- 14:50Speaker 2: against the Braves. They won the first game three to two.
- 14:53Speaker 2: They lost the second game one nothing. Yankees lost to
- 14:55Speaker 2: the White Sox six'. Five, okay guys who love, cats we.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Love but men who like cats are less likely to
