- 0:58Speaker 3: bother somebody.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I like that this is now our... Like, a lot.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Like, this is what we do. We just bother Gen Z.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Gen Z is asking millennials to stop adding LOL or
- 1:09Speaker 3: haha at the end of every text because it's coming
- 1:12Speaker 3: across as a passive-aggressive sign-off.
- 1:15Speaker 2: They think that everything is passive-aggressive. They do.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I've noticed that.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You know, maybe you were the problem. No, I'm just kidding.
- 1:23Speaker 1: No, we do the LOL and hahaha because we've been
- 1:26Speaker 1: trained like this our whole life to be like, oh,

- 3:11Speaker 5: I don't.
- 3:12Speaker 1: This is where I'm going to mess up. Is it

- 3:16Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Can't see you, it's nothing but mine. Crazy one more time?
- 3:26Speaker 5: And girl, tonight, let's go crazy one more time.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I mean, basically, if you just put something close to it,
- 3:34Speaker 2: we interviewed Wynn.
- 3:35Speaker 4: It is technical time.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Okay.
- 3:37Speaker 3: But I would have accepted either. But either of those,
- 3:40Speaker 3: crazy one more time or just one more time, both
- 3:43Speaker 3: were entered into Wynn. Congratulations to our winner this morning.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Head to see Kit Moore coming to the old National
- 3:49Speaker 3: Center tonight.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Found myself watching the new season of The Voice last night.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It's Annie and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM. Riley Green joining
- 3:57Speaker 1: with Queen Latifah, Ada Levine, and then Kelly Clarkson are back.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But there was a contestant from Indiana, and she said
- 4:06Speaker 1: her town name, and I.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Was like, I don't have any idea. I don't even
- 4:09Speaker 2: know if I'm saying her name right. Is it Cynthia Indiana?
- 4:12Speaker 5: Cynthia? It's Cynthia.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I would say it's Cynthiana, Indiana. It is actually.
- 4:17Speaker 3: I looked it up because I had never heard of it,
- 4:19Speaker 3: which is rare for me to not have heard of
- 4:21Speaker 3: a town in Indiana.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you're my Indiana town guy.
- 4:23Speaker 4: But I had not.
- 4:24Speaker 3: It is kind of near Evansville. It's like way down
- 4:27Speaker 3: at the tip. That's why I'm like, I think that's... Posey.
- 4:30Speaker 4: County, population 552. Dang. It was named for Cynthiana, Kentucky.
- 4:37Speaker 4: And here.
- 4:40Speaker 4: These are the things I'm finding on the Wikipedia page.
- 4:42Speaker 4: There's not much.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Like the next thing it says is a post office
- 4:44Speaker 3: has been operated since 1820.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Great well she had a pretty cool story she was
- 4:53Speaker 1: talking about how she had opened up for Riley Green
- 4:56Speaker 1: at some music festival a couple years back and he
- 5:00Speaker 1: threw a koozie at her head afterwards she got it
- 5:03Speaker 1: signed and then brought the koozie on the set with
- 5:05Speaker 1: her ended up picking Riley as her.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Coach this season nice so I was like that's pretty.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Cool I don't know who I'd pick though because I'd
- 5:13Speaker 1: be looking you got Riley Green hello Adam Levine hello
- 5:16Speaker 1: then also Kelly Clarkson uber talented we talked about before
- 5:20Speaker 1: she sings anything that's now her song and then queen
- 5:23Speaker 1: latifah who's got to be the coolest woman in any
- 5:26Speaker 1: room she walks in who do you pick this season
- 5:32Speaker 1: on the voice i don't know this is new from
- 5:34Speaker 1: russell dickerson it's worth your while.
- 5:36Speaker 5: That hank he clicked on it so you don't have
- 5:39Speaker 5: to It's Clickbait Cole on Hank FM.
- 5:43Speaker 3: I got a list here for you of eight things
- 5:45Speaker 3: that are wildly overrated.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Ooh, I have so many things.
- 5:52Speaker 3: And I want to see what you think about them.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So here's how it got started. Somebody on Reddit asked,
- 5:58Speaker 3: what's something that sounds amazing in theory but becomes exhausting
- 6:01Speaker 3: once you're actually living in it long term?
- 6:04Speaker 4: Number one on the list was work travel.
- 6:08Speaker 3: So you think like, oh, I get to travel all
- 6:10Speaker 3: these places and work is paying for it.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Everyone thinks it's amazing.
- 6:14Speaker 3: And no one realizes the long hours, the crappy meals
- 6:17Speaker 3: and the boring hotels.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 2: And a lot of times you're not going anywhere exotic.
- 6:21Speaker 1: You're going to some conference room somewhere that you're just
- 6:24Speaker 1: stuck in all day.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Number two on the list.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I'm curious what my parents will think about this because
- 6:30Speaker 3: this will be their life here in about three weeks
- 6:33Speaker 3: or so. They will be moving to Florida soon. Living
- 6:37Speaker 3: in Florida is number two. It says, I'm much happier
- 6:39Speaker 3: visiting a few times a year.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Summers are rough. Well, they're going to find out. Number
- 6:45Speaker 4: three is being a chef.
- 6:47Speaker 3: People always think it's cool and it's heavily romanticized, but
- 6:50Speaker 3: everyone knows being a chef is brutal. I think of
- 6:53Speaker 3: like when you see it in TV and movies, you
- 6:55Speaker 3: have that chef who's trying to be the top chef
- 6:57Speaker 3: and they're just starting out and they're just like cutting
- 6:59Speaker 3: carrots in the corner or something like that.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Just getting yelled at all the time.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I imagine Gordon Ramsay just yelling at you all the time.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:06Speaker 4: That does not sound fun. Sounds terrible. I would crack
- 7:09Speaker 4: under that pressure in like an hour. I don't want
- 7:11Speaker 4: to do this anymore. I'm fine.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Making movies for a living. It's a lot of hurry
- 7:16Speaker 3: up and wait. And it is physically brutal hauling all
- 7:19Speaker 3: the gear around. Being some form of artist of any
- 7:22Speaker 3: type painting sounds fun until you're on your 900th painting.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Let's see what you think about this one.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Live music. At some point, it just becomes exhausting. The people,
- 7:32Speaker 3: the volume, the prices, the parking, the egos. I would
- 7:34Speaker 3: just rather sit at home with some headphones.
- 7:36Speaker 5: No.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I will always want to go to the show.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I feel the.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Same way about going to sporting events, too, where a
- 7:43Speaker 3: lot of people are like, the beer is expensive. The
- 7:47Speaker 3: seats are uncomfortable. I've got to fight the traffic. I
- 7:50Speaker 3: would rather just sit on my couch.
- 7:51Speaker 2: But you get the energy in the building that you
- 7:53Speaker 2: don't get anywhere else.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I will say though, once people, we do get spoiled
- 7:57Speaker 1: here at this job, but we do get hooked up
- 7:58Speaker 1: with a lot of stuff when it comes to live events.
- 8:01Speaker 1: When I do see the price people are paying to
- 8:04Speaker 1: go to these events, maybe that's when you become tired
- 8:07Speaker 1: of going to them when it's like, I just dropped
- 8:09Speaker 1: a mortgage payment to take my family here.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I got two more for you. Driving a sports car,
- 8:14Speaker 3: uncomfortable seats, no space for anything. The last one is
- 8:17Speaker 3: owning a boat. Things are constantly breaking. You got to
- 8:20Speaker 3: haul the boat around. That's what I always hear about
- 8:23Speaker 3: boats too.
- 8:23Speaker 4: You don't want to own a boat. You want to
- 8:25Speaker 4: know someone who owns a boat, right? Annie and Cole,
- 8:28Speaker 4: be a part of the show.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Call or text 317-663-9797.
- 8:34Speaker 2: We don't think live music is overrated, but it did
- 8:36Speaker 2: make the list.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I have this list of eight things that are
- 8:39Speaker 3: wildly overrated. To recap them for you again real quick, work, travel,
- 8:43Speaker 3: living in Florida, being a chef, making movies, being some
- 8:46Speaker 3: sort of artist, live music, owning a boat, and driving
- 8:49Speaker 3: a sports car.
- 8:50Speaker 2: So what do you think?
- 8:52Speaker 6: So I just have to say that I was born
- 8:54Speaker 6: and raised in Southwest Florida. Um, it's where people go
- 8:58Speaker 6: to retire and die. I would not move back. You
- 9:03Speaker 6: could not pay me.
- 9:05Speaker 4: So where were you?
- 9:06Speaker 3: I was in Naples.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 3: They're moving to Fort Myers, like literally like three weeks away.
- 9:11Speaker 3: They go here.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Just a couple of weeks, but I mean, they are
- 9:15Speaker 4: going to retire. That, that is the plan. But I
- 9:17Speaker 4: also have a buddy that's my age. That's 30. And
- 9:19Speaker 4: he moved down there a couple of years ago and
- 9:21Speaker 4: he won't come back. Oh my gosh.
- 9:24Speaker 6: So I got my bachelor's and my master's degree in
- 9:27Speaker 6: Fort Myers. That was fine.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Cool.
- 9:30Speaker 6: Whatever. Could not wait to get out.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Well, at the very least, you'll have to send me
- 9:35Speaker 4: some recommendations. How about that?
- 9:37Speaker 2: Absolutely. I can do that.
- 9:39Speaker 6: There are good parts and I love to visit, but
- 9:43Speaker 6: now we're raising kids and all of that. And like, No,
- 9:49Speaker 6: not that.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I think I will love to visit too, but we
- 9:52Speaker 3: aren't moving down there anytime soon either.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Yeah, my mom and dad actually moved here three years
- 9:57Speaker 6: ago after we had twins. And so they moved here.
- 10:02Speaker 6: That means I lost my vacation home. So yeah, totally overrated.
- 10:11Speaker 6: We also had a boat and my parents would say
- 10:15Speaker 6: totally overrated.
- 10:18Speaker 2: The list is true. Thank you for calling.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Do you really want to know? Annie and Cole want
- 10:25Speaker 4: to know.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Are you ready to scream the next time someone asks you, hey,
- 10:30Speaker 1: my kid is raising money for blank. Would you like
- 10:34Speaker 1: to buy some double good popcorn?
- 10:37Speaker 5: Oh, no. No, I don't.
- 10:39Speaker 3: I don't know what you're about to say about it,
- 10:42Speaker 3: but I have some thoughts on this.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Popcorn is my favorite food.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Yes.
- 10:47Speaker 3: My niece was selling it not that long ago. And
- 10:50Speaker 3: I asked my sister and my mom who were buying it. Hey,
- 10:53Speaker 3: have you tried this popcorn? Like, I don't want to
- 10:56Speaker 3: pay a bunch of.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Money for crappy popcorn. And they're like, no, we haven't
- 10:59Speaker 4: tried it. Just buy it.
- 11:01Speaker 3: That popcorn is terrible. And it has like nothing in it,
- 11:05Speaker 3: like nothing in those bags. I would rather just give
- 11:09Speaker 3: you money. Can I just give you money for the fundraiser?
- 11:11Speaker 1: This is my argument with any fundraiser that you are having.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I don't want whatever garbage it is you're selling. Can
- 11:17Speaker 2: I just give you.
- 11:19Speaker 1: money.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Like that's why I love when kids are selling raffle
- 11:22Speaker 2: tickets to something. Cause it's like, Oh yeah, money.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Okay.
- 11:24Speaker 2: We can win money. We can give money.
- 11:26Speaker 1: And then of course you probably get guilted into giving
- 11:27Speaker 1: the money back.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I don't care. That's all fine. But when you asked
- 11:31Speaker 2: me to buy something that I'm like, Oh my God,
- 11:33Speaker 2: first time I was really excited. Unlike you. I don't
- 11:35Speaker 2: think the popcorn's that terrible.
- 11:37Speaker 1: What I do think is that it costs $ 13 for
- 11:40Speaker 1: a bag the size of my hand.
- 11:43Speaker 4: It's so expensive.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And then they charge you to ship it to your house.
- 11:46Speaker 1: And then they're like, Oh, Oh, do you want to,
- 11:49Speaker 1: do you want to give like a tip to teachers
- 11:51Speaker 1: or whoever's like, except guilty.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Me into more stuff. Why don't you just give the
- 11:55Speaker 2: money for this popcorn back to the schools?
- 11:57Speaker 1: And again, I know all these fundraisers are the same,
- 11:59Speaker 1: but I don't know. This seems to be the one
- 12:01Speaker 1: that every kid is.
- 12:02Speaker 2: On right now is this popcorn fundraiser.
- 12:04Speaker 4: I am with you.
- 12:05Speaker 3: And do you have a fundraiser that you did or
- 12:09Speaker 3: that you don't mind? That's not like a raffle. Cause
- 12:11Speaker 3: I remember, uh, being younger and like doing trash bags.
- 12:15Speaker 3: We sold trash bags, which wasn't bad because people just
- 12:17Speaker 3: stock up for the year.
- 12:18Speaker 6: Yes.
- 12:19Speaker 4: You're going to use it.
- 12:19Speaker 3: The other one I really like, which you don't see
- 12:22Speaker 3: that often anymore, but it used to be like a
- 12:24Speaker 3: plastic card and it would have all of these deals
- 12:28Speaker 3: around town on it.
- 12:29Speaker 4: And they were good deals. Like you would pay 50
- 12:31Speaker 4: bucks for the card or whatever.
- 12:32Speaker 3: And then you could get, buy one, get one pizzas
- 12:35Speaker 3: with like no limit for the rest of the year.
- 12:38Speaker 5: Yeah. But no.
- 12:40Speaker 2: We're getting crappy popcorn.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Text or give us a call.
- 12:44Speaker 5: 317-663-9797. Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 12:50Speaker 6: Talking about fundraisers. My grandson is doing a walk-a-thon. So
- 12:55Speaker 6: that was a good one.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I like that one. Get the kids out, get
- 12:58Speaker 4: them active. Love that. Yeah. I'll donate to that every day.
- 13:04Speaker 6: Green Castle still does the discount cards. The choir and
- 13:08Speaker 6: band at the high school.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Greencastle High School.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Oh, man.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Nice.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Go Tiger Cubs?
- 13:14Speaker 5: Yep.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Yes.
- 13:16Speaker 2: You still got it, Cole.
- 13:17Speaker 6: I still got it. Yeah, you only pay $ 25 for
- 13:21Speaker 6: the card and you get discounts at all kinds of places.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Yeah, we need this back everywhere. That's a good deal.
- 13:26Speaker 3: I have a question about the card. Is Marvin's on it?
- 13:29Speaker 3: Can I get a garlic cheeseburger?
- 13:31Speaker 6: I don't think Smarver's got it.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Oh, that's all right. I'll make a stop still.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Smarver's got some good garlic cheese. Yeah, they do. Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 4: they do.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Thank you for calling.
- 13:42Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 13:43Speaker 3: On the Armor Air text line, this one says, I
- 13:45Speaker 3: have a hard rule on kids and fundraisers. If your
- 13:48Speaker 3: kid doesn't call and ask me for my support, they
- 13:51Speaker 3: don't get a dime from me. As kids, we had
- 13:53Speaker 3: to go door to door selling fundraiser crap.
- 13:56Speaker 4: You know what? You don't get away with your mom
- 13:58Speaker 4: doing it.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I say this to all the time. I'm like, yeah,
- 14:01Speaker 2: have them ask me. I don't even care if it's
- 14:03Speaker 2: a text.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I just want them to do it.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Tabitha said my kids school do a what's called a
- 14:09Speaker 3: dog jog.
- 14:10Speaker 4: And basically you give money for them to run around
- 14:12Speaker 4: the track. You don't purchase anything.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Yes.
- 14:14Speaker 4: This is what we were just talking about with the walkathon.
- 14:16Speaker 4: I love that.
- 14:18Speaker 3: This one from Lucy said, I remember back in the 80s,
- 14:20Speaker 3: my favorite fundraiser was wrapping paper.
- 14:23Speaker 4: I remember the wrapping paper one. I see.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Growing up, we only ever did.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I did Girl Scout cookies for Girl Scouts, and we
- 14:29Speaker 1: did like the world's finest chocolate candy bars. That's the
- 14:33Speaker 1: only fundraisers I've ever had.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I remember those. And I remember this one, too. This
- 14:37Speaker 3: was always a good one. Cookie dough. I'll buy the
- 14:41Speaker 3: cookie dough. I probably won't ever bake those cookies.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:45Speaker 4: But I... You keep dipping into that cookie dough, Tom.
- 14:47Speaker 5: I follow. I like.
- 14:50Speaker 4: I share.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Experts are warning you should not do this one thing
- 14:56Speaker 1: with your kids. And I'm going to assume that every
- 14:59Speaker 1: parent has at least done this once.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Okay.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And you probably do it all the time without even
- 15:04Speaker 1: thinking about it.
- 15:05Speaker 4: All right.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Baby Josie is just over a year old. So I'm
- 15:08Speaker 3: curious if we are already guilty of this or if.
- 15:11Speaker 4: We will be.
- 15:11Speaker 1: They say you should not share food. saliva meaning like
- 15:16Speaker 1: if you take a sip you shouldn't give your kid
- 15:18Speaker 1: a sip if they take a sip you shouldn't take
- 15:20Speaker 1: a sip uh-huh take a bite of food share a
- 15:22Speaker 1: bite of food they say that this is how things
- 15:25Speaker 1: spread yeah and then if we all just stop doing
- 15:27Speaker 1: it maybe then like the beginning of the school year
- 15:29Speaker 1: like everybody wouldn't be like broken out in.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Sick yeah okay um I don't think I'm guilty of
- 15:37Speaker 3: this yet. My wife might be guilty of this. Usually
- 15:41Speaker 3: she has her food and she's got her food on
- 15:44Speaker 3: her plate and usually she has her cup.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I don't think it's the food in the cup.
- 15:48Speaker 1: This is where I thought maybe you guys might have
- 15:49Speaker 1: done this because I've seen every parent in my lifetime
- 15:51Speaker 1: do this at some point.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Yeah, that light is just.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Let's do it every once.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I've seen every parent in my life do this when...
- 15:59Speaker 1: Baby drops the pacifier and it hits something. They just
- 16:01Speaker 1: put in their mouth, clean it, and then stick it
- 16:03Speaker 1: in the baby's mouth.
- 16:04Speaker 4: No, I've never done that. You've never done it?
- 16:05Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no.
- 16:06Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Every parent I've seen has done it.
- 16:07Speaker 3: I'm like, ooh.
- 16:08Speaker 4: No, I will, like, I don't know. I'll still, like,
- 16:12Speaker 4: wash it off and do the whole thing. I haven't
- 16:14Speaker 4: done that.
- 16:15Speaker 3: But the only thing I can think of is she's, like,
- 16:18Speaker 3: recently been doing, like, stuff with straws, right?
- 16:21Speaker 4: She has her own cup.
- 16:23Speaker 5: But.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Every once in a while, my wife, I don't have
- 16:25Speaker 4: a straw in my water bottle. My wife does. And
- 16:28Speaker 4: she'll just be sitting there drinking it, holding Josie. And
- 16:31Speaker 4: Josie will like kind of lead over. She's like, yeah,
- 16:32Speaker 4: take a sip.
- 16:33Speaker 3: That would probably be the only time that they are
- 16:36Speaker 3: sharing something. But the pacifier thing is crazy.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Okay.
- 16:39Speaker 2: So I was just setting up for my niece's birthday.
- 16:42Speaker 1: She turned seven and we're helping put out all the
- 16:44Speaker 1: food like beforehand, like the chips and dip and everything
- 16:46Speaker 1: like that.
- 16:47Speaker 2: And this is why when you go to a birthday party, you.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Should think about eating anything there because my niece was
- 16:52Speaker 1: literally like sticking her finger and everything and licking it.
- 16:55Speaker 2: And like the cheese needed to be flattened out.
- 16:57Speaker 1: And she just took her hand and I'm like, people
- 17:00Speaker 1: are going to eat that later.
- 17:02Speaker 4: It's her birthday. It's fine.
