  Speaker 2: could suck energy out of any creature, and Magnus is

  Speaker 2: super close to losing, but he wins by combining all

  Speaker 2: his elements in one blast.

  Speaker 1: Thank you, Ethan. I think that's a great suggestion and

  Speaker 1: it led to, I hope, a pretty cool character battle idea. Honestly,

  Speaker 1: most of the time I just storyboard these things. And

  Speaker 1: make them up as I go. So at this point

  Speaker 1: I don't even really know what happens in the story myself,

  Speaker 1: but we are all about to find out together after

  Speaker 1: time to get going. You say, ah, what's going on?

  Speaker 1: Oh ah? Is it time for time for breakfast? He asks, Yes,

  Speaker 1: you answer and head down to the main part of

  Speaker 1: the hotel, the hotel lobby, where you smell one of

  Speaker 1: the best scents ever created. A free that is, complimentary

  Speaker 1: continental hotel breakfast with a little bit of almost anything

  Speaker 1: you could ask for. You and Magnus head through the

  Speaker 1: mini buffet line, fill up your plates with a little

  Speaker 1: bit of every thing you like, and sit down to eat.

  Speaker 1: Any idea who we're up against next, Magnus asks. The

  Speaker 1: preliminary rounds of this tournament should probably be over soon.

  Speaker 1: Oh yeah, good question. Let me go check. You get

  Speaker 1: up from the table and head over to one of

  Speaker 1: the many view screens that give information about the tournament.

  Speaker 1: You produce your ID card, the computer scans it, and

  Speaker 1: scheduled booking pops up in front of you. It seems

  Speaker 1: that in roughly thirty minutes you're supposed to battle someone

  Speaker 1: named Allie inside battle Stadium four, Room two. You head

  Speaker 1: back to the table and let Magnus know. After finishing

  Speaker 1: up breakfast, the two of you had able to cross
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: the huge parking lot to the giant battle stadium with
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: the number four on it. Of course, as usual, you
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: enter the building and go up to the registration counter,
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: once again producing your ID card from your card core. Ah,
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: let me see here, Yes, we have you scheduled for
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: a battle room two in uh oh, just about ten minutes.

  Speaker 1: The two of you should probably get going. It says
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: that the other contest into Olive oh Olie has already registered.

  Speaker 1: Just head that way. Second one on the right. You

  Speaker 1: head to the left down a large hallway until you

  Speaker 1: get to a large number two. You step into the

  Speaker 1: elevator below the giant number two. The doors close and

  Speaker 1: you're lifting up to the battle arena floor. The doors

  Speaker 1: soon open to reveal a battle stadium that looks well
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: exactly like every other battle stadium. You've been in a
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: huge open area with two protected force field like circles
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: on either side, and a little bit of every kind
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: of element you might be looking for, earth, nature, water,
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: and I mean, of course air and that sort of thing.

  Speaker 1: Oh hey, there, welcome to battle Station two. You must
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: be the other contestant. This here is Ollie. I believe
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: the two of you will be battling, and I will
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: be your referee. The guy wearing the striped shirt says,
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: all right, you guys know the sort of protocol here.
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: The two of you are going to fight your already
• 6:04
  Speaker 1: registered creatures, and the person who wins goes on, and
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: the person who loses does not go on. Is that understood,
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: he asks you, and I'll you both nod all right? Then, Well,
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: on this side we seem to have some sort of
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: deity level golden Dragon, and on this side we have
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: a deity level of fire dragon, a cool dragon versus dragon. Alright,
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: time to head over to your circles and let's get
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: this thing started. You head over towards the circle designated
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: for the card holder. A shield instantly appears around you,
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: protecting you from any damage you know, due to magical
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: creatures battling. Ali on the other side of the arena
• 7:06
  Speaker 1: steps into his as well. Magnus immediately begins to transform,
• 7:12
  Speaker 1: growing larger and larger until he's once again become a
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: deity level fire dragon with veins of pure sunlight. He
• 7:25
  Speaker 1: steps forward towards the center, lying as the large golden
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: dragon on the other side does the same. The referee
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: floats up into the air and is covered by an
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: energy shield himself. All right, everyone, we're gonna begin in
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: three two one battle. Magnus instantly takes a deep breath
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: and blasts out a plume of powerful heat energy. It
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: hits the golden directly, and the kind of does nothing.
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: The golden dragon just glows red and sort of absorbs
• 8:11
  Speaker 1: the power into its core. Magnus takes another deep breath,
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: pulling all of the heat energy he can from the
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: air around him, and unleashes another blast of even more
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: powerful energy. The energy shoots out of his mouth white hot,
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: and slams into the dragon, who again just sort of
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: stands there and absorbs all of it. Then the other
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: dragon begins to glow bright red. Its stomach starts to shine,
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: and a blast of a very similar energy shoots back
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: out of it directly into Magnus, sending him well backwards
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: just a little bit. Honestly, the heat doesn't do much
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: to the dragon, but well, it's pretty clear that he's
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: just been hit by his own attack. Ah, so you're
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: some sort of energy absorber. Hah. Well, let's see what
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: else you've got, Magnus says, and then he begins to glow,
• 9:22
  Speaker 1: his veins laid up white hot, and the ground beneath
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: him starts to melt slowly, starting with a little pool
• 9:34
  Speaker 1: around Magnus and spreading out across the rest of the arena.
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: The ground transforms into magma. The little pool of water
• 9:45
  Speaker 1: instantly melts into steam, and Magnus, who is almost pure
• 9:51
  Speaker 1: energy at this point, dives into the ground. The Golden
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: Dragon floats up in the air and starts scanning around,
• 10:02
  Speaker 1: but it isn't long before the ground itself starts to
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: attack him. Under the command of Magnus, of course, spikes
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: of obsidian shoot out of the lava towards the dragon.
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: He instantly dodges to the right. Another spike and he
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: dodges to the left. A blast of powerful magma shoots out,
• 10:24
  Speaker 1: hitting the dragon directly in the stomach, and he begins
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: glowing red once again. The heat is pulled out of
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: the magma, turning it back into stone. Then the dragon
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: lowers down over top of the ground, and energy starts
• 10:47
  Speaker 1: to swirl from the magma, through the air and into
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: the dragon. The ground slowly hardens into pure obsidian. The
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: dragon glows brightly and lands on the solid ground again.
• 11:07
  Speaker 1: Magnus is nowhere to be seen, that is until cracks
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: start to form in the ground and the dragon bursts
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: up from below, sending shards of rock flying in every direction. Well,
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: I guess you are able to absorb the heat energy
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: from that too. Let's see how you do with different
• 11:31
  Speaker 1: kinds of energy. Magnus slams his tail on the ground,
• 11:37
  Speaker 1: breaking apart obsidian and rock. Then, using his mind and
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: his elemental affiliation to rock, he lifts the stone and
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: obsidian into the air. It starts to spin around him
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: and reform into much sharper shapes large spikes of obsidian. Then,
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: one by one he sends them flying towards the dragon.
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: The first one shoots right into the thing, the next
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: crashes into his shoulder. The next hits his stomach, and
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: the dragon starts to glow a deep green color. The
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: obsidian that's already hit him gets pulled directly into his body,
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: and the remaining chunks sort of instantly fly into the dragon.
• 12:32
  Speaker 1: The green energy starts to surround his shoulders, arms, chest,
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: and head, and then solidifies into what looks like obsidian armor.
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: Ah did he just absorb the rock and turn it
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: into armor? He asks, looking back at you. I think so,
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: you say, well, obviously stuck doesn't work. I better try
• 13:02
  Speaker 1: something else. The Golden dragon stomach starts to glow once again,
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: and a blast of red hot magma shoots out, hitting
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: Magnus directly in the stomach. Magnus simply grabs the magma
• 13:20
  Speaker 1: out of the air, solidifies it into obsidian, and slams
• 13:25
  Speaker 1: it into the ground. Staring down the Golden Dragon, he
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: looks around the arena. At the very top is a
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: bunch of steam and smoke, probably from the lake that
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: was almost instantly evaporated. He focuses his mind on the steam,
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: and slowly it begins to pull down from the ceiling
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: and wrap around him, getting thicker and thicker and thicker,
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: before condensing again into a stream of water. Magnus spins
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: the water around himself and begins unleashing attacks towards the creature.
• 14:10
  Speaker 1: Blasts of pure water shoot at the thing. The dragon
• 14:15
  Speaker 1: dodges and unleashes another blast of fire towards Magnus. He
• 14:20
  Speaker 1: instantly raises rock up in front of him, Absorbing the blast,
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: transforms the water spinning around him into ice spikes, and
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: sends them flying towards the Golden Dragon. They all hit
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: at once and again. The Golden Dragon begins to glow,
• 14:42
  Speaker 1: only this time a blue color. The ice is pulled
• 14:48
  Speaker 1: into his body and the glow starts to reform atop
• 14:54
  Speaker 1: his shoulders, transforming the rock armor into something that looks
• 14:59
  Speaker 1: like well too many cannons, one on each shoulder. The
• 15:06
  Speaker 1: cannons light up blue and instantly send a stream of
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: water back at Magnus. He jumps to the side, grabs
• 15:15
  Speaker 1: the water using his mind and his hands, spins it around,
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: transforming it into a nice spike again, and sends it
• 15:24
  Speaker 1: flying back at the Golden Dragon again. The dragon glows blues.
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: The spike hits him, absorbs it and stands ready to
• 15:36
  Speaker 1: fight again. All right, Clearly that didn't work, Magnus says,
• 15:44
  Speaker 1: maybe I need to try something a little bit different.
• 15:49
  Speaker 1: To this point, Magnus hasn't really used his affiliation for
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: nature energy, but it seems he's changed his mind. His
• 16:00
  Speaker 1: down towards the ground and connects his mind to little
• 16:06
  Speaker 1: seedlings still buried beneath the rock. He wills the seedlings
• 16:12
  Speaker 1: to grow up out of the ground and transform into
• 16:17
  Speaker 1: huge and powerful vines. The vines shoot up out of
• 16:22
  Speaker 1: the floor of the arena and begin waving around in
• 16:26
  Speaker 1: the air. Let's see you absorb something like this, he says,
• 16:33
  Speaker 1: commanding the vines with his mind to shoot towards the
• 16:37
  Speaker 1: yellow dragon. The vines wrap around the dragon's arms, they
• 16:43
  Speaker 1: wrap around the dragon's legs, they wrap around the dragon's body,
• 16:49
  Speaker 1: and Magnus wills them to pull tighter, like a snake
• 16:53
  Speaker 1: coiled around its prey. You watch as the dragon slowly
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: starts to tense in some pain, and then it starts
• 17:05
  Speaker 1: to glow a lighter green color. The lighter green energy
• 17:10
  Speaker 1: spreads out along the vines towards the ground, and then
• 17:16
  Speaker 1: the vines snap off from the ground around Magnus. Instead,
• 17:23
  Speaker 1: they lift up in the air, still connected on the
• 17:27
  Speaker 1: other side to the yellow Dragon. The coils merge with
• 17:33
  Speaker 1: the dragon's body, and suddenly the vines begin to attack
• 17:39
  Speaker 1: Magnus instead, wrapping around his arms and legs. He instantly
• 17:45
  Speaker 1: heats up, burning them apart as soon as they hit them,
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: only to be hit by a blast of water from
• 17:51
  Speaker 1: the water cannon, followed by a blast of fire from
• 17:56
  Speaker 1: the dragon's stomach, which this time sends magnet Is flying
• 18:00
  Speaker 1: into the side of the arena. Oh, Magnus says, pulling
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: himself up off of the ground. I guess I have
• 18:11
  Speaker 1: one more element to try, Magnus announces, as air starts
• 18:17
  Speaker 1: to spin around the arena into a large vortex around
• 18:24
  Speaker 1: the dragon's body. You look across the arena at the
• 18:28
  Speaker 1: Golden Dragon, and you notice something in his eyes. Looking
• 18:33
  Speaker 1: over at this cardholder, Ollie, you see the same look.
• 18:40
  Speaker 1: They clearly aren't worried about this air attack. Magnus, Wait what,
• 18:47
  Speaker 1: he says, I don't think that's gonna work. Well, we
• 18:52
  Speaker 1: have to try something, Magnus announces. I agree, but we
• 18:57
  Speaker 1: need to think that thing can absorb any kind of
• 19:01
  Speaker 1: element you've already thrown at it. I imagine it can
• 19:04
  Speaker 1: absorb the wind as well, and who knows how it'll
• 19:08
  Speaker 1: use that against you. Well, what do you suggest, then,
• 19:14
  Speaker 1: Magnus says, well, I I mean, we know it can
• 19:19
  Speaker 1: absorb one element at a time, but so far we've
• 19:24
  Speaker 1: never seen it absorb multiple elements at once. How many
• 19:30
  Speaker 1: elements do you think you can command at once, Magnus?
• 19:35
  Speaker 1: Who do you think you're talking to? Magnus replies, and
• 19:41
  Speaker 1: then he starts to light up once again, growing hotter
• 19:46
  Speaker 1: and hotter and hotter as his veins glow brighter and brighter.
• 19:53
  Speaker 1: Soon Magnus is once again transformed into a little miniature sun.

  Speaker 1: The stone lifts up off of the ground and starts
• 20:05
  Speaker 1: whipping around him in a circle as well. Then any
• 20:10
  Speaker 1: remaining water vapor in the air is pulled down and
• 20:15
  Speaker 1: starts circling around him too. The ground that's transformed into
• 20:21
  Speaker 1: magma starts to lift up and spin around in a
• 20:25
  Speaker 1: band of magma. Vines shoot up out of the ground
• 20:30
  Speaker 1: again ready to attack, and a large vortex of air
• 20:37
  Speaker 1: starts to spin around Magnus. Well let's see how you
• 20:44
  Speaker 1: do with this, he announces, taking a deep breath and
• 20:49
  Speaker 1: unleashing a powerful blast of pure heat energy directly y
• 20:54
  Speaker 1: at the dragon. It hits the dragon, who immediately starts
• 21:00
  Speaker 1: to turn red and absorb the power, but instead of
• 21:05
  Speaker 1: cutting it off, Magnus joins the attack with every other
• 21:11
  Speaker 1: element he has. Stone, magma, water, vines, and a huge
• 21:19
  Speaker 1: concentrated blast of air begin to spin around the pure
• 21:24
  Speaker 1: energy attack, blasting into the dragon all at once. The
• 21:30
  Speaker 1: stone pummels the dragon, the vines wrap around it, the
• 21:35
  Speaker 1: water transforms to ice, and well tries to freeze the
• 21:39
  Speaker 1: dragon in place. The dragon starts to glow different colors red, blue, gray,
• 21:48
  Speaker 1: but it can't seem to settle on one, and the
• 21:52
  Speaker 1: elements continue to do damage in the meantime. Soon the
• 21:57
  Speaker 1: dragon is unable to hold its gray. It flies across
• 22:02
  Speaker 1: the arena and smashes into the other wall. The vines
• 22:07
  Speaker 1: continue to tighten around it as the stone and ice,
• 22:12
  Speaker 1: and fire and wind continue to pummel the dragon. When
• 22:17
  Speaker 1: Magnus is absolutely exhausted, he releases the attacks, almost falling
• 22:25
  Speaker 1: to the ground. Luckily for him, the golden Dragon seems
• 22:30
  Speaker 1: to be in worse condition. Its eyes slowly start to
• 22:36
  Speaker 1: close as if it's about to lose consciousness, and eventually
• 22:42
  Speaker 1: it gives in, falling to the floor, transforming into energy
• 22:48
  Speaker 1: and shooting back into his cardholder's core. Olie on the
• 22:54
  Speaker 1: other side of the arena immediately looks disappointed. Well, folks,
• 23:01
  Speaker 1: it looks like we have a winner. The referee announces,
• 23:05
  Speaker 1: floating back down to the center and may I say,
• 23:10
  Speaker 1: that was a pretty cool battle. Oh boy, if only
• 23:15
  Speaker 1: both of you could have gone on. I bet you'll
• 23:17
  Speaker 1: take on other opponents with ease. Huh. Anyways, Magnus is
• 23:23
  Speaker 1: the winner and gets to go on to the next round.
• 23:27
  Speaker 1: There should be some more matches a proof for tomorrow,
• 23:30
  Speaker 1: and then well, the preliminary round should be over soon.
• 23:36
  Speaker 1: You walk up to the center line. Ollie does the same.
• 23:41
  Speaker 1: You reach out and shake the other kid's hand. Could match.
• 23:46
  Speaker 1: You say, here, dragon is really powerful, yeah, Allie says, Unfortunately,

  Speaker 1: he doesn't seem to be as powerful as yours. Ollie
• 23:59
  Speaker 1: wants away, steps into the elevator and disappears. You follow
• 24:06
  Speaker 1: close behind him. When the elevator returns, you step inside,
• 24:11
  Speaker 1: go down to the bottom floor, and walk out of
• 24:15
  Speaker 1: the battle arena. You head back across the parking lot
• 24:21
  Speaker 1: and into the large hotel building on the other side.
• 24:27
  Speaker 1: You enter the elevator, go up to your room, head
• 24:31
  Speaker 1: down the hall and open it using your key card.
• 24:37
  Speaker 1: Inside you smell something amazing food. You walk in to
• 24:44
  Speaker 1: find a tray piled high with all sorts of different
• 24:48
  Speaker 1: food and desserts, with a note that reads, congratulations, you've
• 24:55
  Speaker 1: made it to the last round of the preliminary tournament.
• 24:59
  Speaker 1: We thought you could use a little treat. You look
• 25:03
  Speaker 1: over at Magnus, who has transformed back into his dragonling size,
• 25:09
  Speaker 1: of course, and the two of you dig in, eating
• 25:13
  Speaker 1: your fill of food and deserts until you can eat
• 25:18
  Speaker 1: no more. Then you lay down on the bed, pull
• 25:24
  Speaker 1: the covers up to your chin, and close your eyes.
• 25:30
  Speaker 1: With each breath, you release a little more tension from
• 25:34
  Speaker 1: your muscles, allowing your arms and legs to sink down
• 25:40
  Speaker 1: into the mattress. And the more you breathe, the deeper
• 25:45
  Speaker 1: you go, and the deeper you go, the better you feel,
• 25:51
  Speaker 1: until eventually your mind begins to wander off to thoughts
• 25:57
  Speaker 1: of new dreams and new adventures to come. Good night,
