Bend’s construction frenzy isn’t slowing down — even as summer winds down, crews are racing to finish major projects before winter hits. Franklin Avenue is getting a full overhaul with pipe replacements, sidewalk widening, and new bike lanes, causing lane closures east of Bend Parkway, with more disruptions starting Sept 14 when the underpass shuts down completely (reopening briefly around the holidays).
