- 4:08busy uh trying to stay out of the
- 4:10heat but that that doesn't seem to be
- 4:13working i was out there all day today
- 4:17I went and picked up our older two
- 4:19thousand thirteen traverse from my
- 4:22daughter and her boyfriend.
- 4:24It was been sitting at his shop forever.
- 4:27Nothing wrong with it.
- 4:28Just sitting there.
- 4:29So I was like,
- 4:30I need to drive this thing.
- 4:31So I went and got it and cleaned
- 4:33it up.
- 4:33Nice.
- 4:33Yeah.
- 4:36I just I don't I don't want to
- 4:38dog anybody on this on this podcast.
- 4:40But the chemical thing is the chemical
- 4:42guys.
- 4:43They make some cleaner.
- 4:46Yeah,
- 4:46you either have to read the label really
- 4:48close,
- 4:49or it says to test a small area,
- 4:52and I didn't.
- 4:52I just sprayed it on the wood.
- 4:55And let's just say my chrome lug nuts
- 4:57are not chrome anymore,
- 4:58but it cleaned them for sure.
- 5:01Did it strip your nuts?
- 5:04Did it strip your nuts?
- 5:06Yeah, it did.
- 5:07Were your nuts stripped?
- 5:08Did you dare those things?
- 5:11How dare they?
- 5:12How dare they strip them?
- 5:14You dared your nuts, son.
- 5:17You nared your nuts.
- 5:19Applied to nare.
- 5:20It smells close enough to nare.
- 5:22Does it?
- 5:23Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:25Very interesting.
- 5:26Very interesting.
- 5:26But it cleans if you're looking for a
- 5:28cleaning product.
- 5:28Yeah.
- 5:28Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:30Well, that's good.
- 5:31I mean,
- 5:31that's what you need out of a cleaning
- 5:32product, right?
- 5:34Speaking of cleaning, and Mr. Clean,
- 5:36look over there.
- 5:37That zero mustache on Mike tonight,
- 5:41he got rid of it.
- 5:42He said, nope, I'm done.
- 5:45Mike, how you doing, man?
- 5:46I hope.
- 5:48Doing good.
- 5:48I'm enjoying air and heat down there too.
- 5:52Heat up here.
- 5:52I had to cut grass to finally get
- 5:54my front yard done.
- 5:56I was out there at nine o'clock this
- 5:57morning cutting grass.
- 5:58I hate cutting grass on a Sunday.
- 6:00It doesn't bother me it's a Sunday,
- 6:03but I hate bothering other people.
- 6:04I'm like, well, let me get out there.
- 6:08I went outside, got the mower out,
- 6:10and I was like, it's hot out here.
- 6:12Pulled my phone out and looked at it.
- 6:13I was like, what's the temperature?
- 6:15It was ninety-seven degrees.
- 6:16I was like,
- 6:18Are you freaking kidding me?
- 6:20I thought I was going to have a
- 6:21freaking heart attack out there in that,
- 6:23you know,
- 6:23I'm not used to that heat anymore.
- 6:26Yeah.
- 6:26Six pass,
- 6:27I was back up there chugging a bottle
- 6:29of water and it didn't help that I'd
- 6:32had a couple,
- 6:33one too many bourbon and cokes last night.
- 6:35But, you know, it was.
- 6:38Well, you had to celebrate last night.
- 6:40It's important.
- 6:42First off,
- 6:43if you don't on the two fiftieth,
- 6:45but that's just that's un-American.
- 6:47Yeah, this is true.
- 6:49Yeah, yeah.
- 6:51That's what I'm saying.
- 6:51It's un-American.
- 6:54It's un-American,
- 6:55but when you're sitting there doing it by
- 6:56yourself, it's like, maybe I should.
- 6:58Yeah, okay.
- 6:59Whatever.
- 6:59You're not alone.
- 7:03That's right.
- 7:03We were all.
- 7:04You're an un-American out there.
- 7:05Even I was drinking last night.
- 7:08I don't do that at all.
- 7:13As long as it wasn't a cup of
- 7:15tea.
- 7:17I was drinking it like this.
- 7:18I was drinking it like this.
- 7:19Yeah, that makes sense.
- 7:22He's out.
- 7:26He's out.
- 7:26A special occasion.
- 7:27The two fiftieth.
- 7:28You got to drink it that way, right?
- 7:31Yeah.
- 7:36I feel like a traitor.
- 7:37I have two T's in front of me
- 7:39right now.
- 7:39I'm like,
- 7:39I'm going to go find a harbor to
- 7:42throw this shit in now.
- 7:46Nice.
- 7:47Is it hot tea?
- 7:47We'll call it.
- 7:50Oh, okay.
- 7:52I have a London Fog from Barnes &
- 7:55Noble.
- 7:56Or at least it has a regular...
- 8:01Earl Grey with a little bit of milk
- 8:03in it and you're sitting there stirring
- 8:05around with your little spoon.
- 8:08Is that Earl Grey?
- 8:10It's all of the teas, I guess.
- 8:14English breakfast.
- 8:16I guess there's nothing wrong with
- 8:17drinking the enemy's refreshments after
- 8:19you murder them, right?
- 8:21Yeah, after you've gone to battle and won.
- 8:27Yeah,
- 8:27there's nothing wrong with it at that
- 8:29point.
- 8:29I'd agree with that.
- 8:31It's the spoils of war, right?
- 8:35All right.
- 8:36I watched the guy take their tea.
- 8:38yeah see i watched a guy eat catfish
- 8:42and cheese and grits and he about had
- 8:45a mouthgasm was the best way to explain
- 8:47it he just dropped his fork i don't
- 8:49even know what's going on right now in
- 8:50his life so i guess we're winning them
- 8:53back through our culinary oh yeah and if
- 8:57it's southern food which is not my
- 8:58favorite then imagine what they'll have if
- 9:01they ever come up north where the real
- 9:02people live
- 9:04Is that right?
- 9:06Is that right?
- 9:07He's going down a gauntlet about this
- 9:09right now.
- 9:11Yeah, mudfish and leftover corn.
- 9:14Imagine if they eat real fish and real
- 9:17corn.
- 9:17I mean,
- 9:18just got to say that out loud.
- 9:19Hey, we got some real corn down here.
- 9:22We got some rural corn down here.
- 9:25Grits ain't corn.
- 9:25It's the leftover corn.
- 9:28I don't do grits.
- 9:28We don't do grits here.
- 9:29We got corn fields.
- 9:32We got some corn, baby.
- 9:35it's not as much as up north like
- 9:38walleye and stuff like that that's what
- 9:40you got walleye is pretty good though it
- 9:42is i have to say that's our state
- 9:48fish well um mark's sitting there
- 9:51listening march like don't go mu mu i
- 9:54ain't eating it so that's funny yeah he's
- 9:55right i mean he's like south dakota jason
- 9:58so you know you know yeah sorry i
- 10:01didn't even agree
- 10:05It's what for dinner.
- 10:07We know Jess is doing good up there,
- 10:09drinking his teas,
- 10:11rubbing it in the face of our enemies
- 10:16from seventeen seventy six.
- 10:17That and us southern folks.
- 10:20Yeah, that's right.
- 10:24I bet you anything his tea is not
- 10:26sweet.
- 10:26I bet you it is not a sweet
- 10:29tea.
- 10:29It is Arizona.
- 10:33Is Arizona a sweet tea?
- 10:35I've not had one.
- 10:37Is it?
- 10:38Oh, that's good to know.
- 10:41Arizona puts all the sugar in their
- 10:42drinks.
- 10:45Is it the real sugar?
- 10:46It's a bucket can.
- 10:52Bucket can.
- 10:54Love it.
- 10:54Well, let's go over here to Vic, man.
- 10:58You have some awesome paraphernalia there.
- 11:02Wait, not paraphernalia.
- 11:03What am I trying to say?
- 11:05That's a cool sticker you got on your
- 11:07glass there.
- 11:09I've had this mug for probably seven or
- 11:12eight years.
- 11:12And every time I get a different kind
- 11:14of cool sticker, I put it on here.
- 11:17This is my freedom mug.
- 11:18Yeah.
- 11:19Motorcycles and because I'm a cool dad and
- 11:22all that kind of stuff, you know.
- 11:25uh you know a little motivational stuff
- 11:27and you know do better yeah i like
- 11:29that yeah actions are better than bigger
- 11:31than words or whatever you know um let's
- 11:34see but i always call i just call
- 11:35it my green a mug um this is
- 11:38my water to recover from last night i'm
- 11:41still recovering um
- 11:44And I'm trying to replenish my hydration
- 11:48stores because I leave on about a three
- 11:51thousand mile road trip tomorrow morning.
- 11:53That's going to be awesome.
- 11:55But let's see.
- 11:56Let's see.
- 11:56Last night we blew things up in the
- 11:59middle of the street.
- 12:00It was awesome.
- 12:01um like the four the four houses uh
- 12:04across the street over here next to us
- 12:06um we all got together and uh pitched
- 12:08in and uh we all watched fireworks and
- 12:10set off things and rockets and things and
- 12:13smaller things that blew up it was awesome
- 12:15we blew things up it was great um
- 12:18yeah so uh and then uh yeah so
- 12:22uh the motorcycles all packed up and uh
- 12:25all i gotta do is i think i'm
- 12:28gonna try to get on the road pretty
- 12:29early to avoid some of the heat
- 12:32um yeah good luck with that yeah it's
- 12:35gonna be rough tomorrow which is like i've
- 12:37been down in water all day long trying
- 12:39to get pretty hydrated because it's real
- 12:42it's uh for i'm sure you know the
- 12:44motorcycle riders know but uh uh it's real
- 12:47dangerous on a motorcycle in the heat
- 12:49because you don't uh you don't sweat as
- 12:51soon as you start sweat it evaporates uh
- 12:54so you don't know when you're getting
- 12:55dehydrated until you get off the bike and
- 12:57then you're about to pass out you know
- 12:59Because, you know,
- 13:00you got a seventy mile an hour air
- 13:01conditioner keeping you cool-ish,
- 13:04but when you get off the bike and
- 13:06you're not sweating and all that kind of
- 13:07stuff, it gets dangerous.
- 13:08So,
- 13:11I guess my SOP is I stop every
- 13:14hundred miles, whether I want to or not,
- 13:16get off the bike and down a giant
- 13:18bottle of water, go use the bathroom.
- 13:21By the end of the day,
- 13:22I'll be chugging water all day long.
- 13:25By the end of the day,
- 13:26it looks like iced tea.
- 13:28you know just because i'm dehydrated at
- 13:30the end of the day and then i
- 13:30just spent all night drinking more water
- 13:33so yeah it's uh you just got to
- 13:36be really careful out there because it's
- 13:37going to be somewhere close to triple
- 13:38digits all the way across the the south
- 13:41so and i'm going straight it's almost like
- 13:44a
- 13:45It's a wind tunnel.
- 13:47It's a blow dryer.
- 13:48That's what it feels like.
- 13:49It feels like a blow dryer in your
- 13:50face.
- 13:52It's going to be good.
- 13:56I'm going to have a good time though.
- 13:57Stopping to see my sister first.
- 14:00Got no cigars tonight because I'm saving
- 14:03them all for the trip.
- 14:06when I get up to Oklahoma,
- 14:07I got a buddy up there that likes
- 14:08to smoke cigars.
- 14:09So, uh,
- 14:10I know a guy up here that does
- 14:12that.
- 14:14I won't say who it is, but yeah.
- 14:16So, uh, yeah.
- 14:17So, uh, yeah.
- 14:19I'm looking forward to the trip and it's
- 14:20going to be a good time.
- 14:22Nice.
- 14:22Nice.
- 14:24Speaking of a good time,
- 14:25look at that guy over there.
- 14:27Mark, how you doing?
- 14:29Doing great.
- 14:30Doing great.
- 14:30Andrew, uh, just came up.
- 14:32It's beautiful weather here.
- 14:33It was beautiful yesterday.
- 14:35Uh,
- 14:36But today, well,
- 14:38we had the Fourth of July yesterday,
- 14:39which was phenomenal.
- 14:40A lot of things going on.
- 14:42I went down to the parade at Coronado,
- 14:44California.
- 14:45It was a really good parade.
- 14:49And then today we had a...
- 14:53presentation uh went over the uh
- 14:56historical aspects of the start of this
- 14:59country which was just phenomenal it was
- 15:02very well put on uh presentation and then
- 15:06of course had some libations and some chow
- 15:09so just got done with that that's why
- 15:12i'm a little late i had to drive
- 15:13from carlsbad oh carlsbad yeah yeah burn
- 15:20ice very nice
- 15:22Well, shoot.
- 15:24Everybody,
- 15:26we turned two hundred and fifty as a
- 15:28country.
- 15:29I know we were already two hundred and
- 15:31fifty.
- 15:31I get it.
- 15:32But the country,
- 15:34the rest of them finally caught up.
- 15:35The rest of us,
- 15:39we we caught up the rest of the
- 15:41country to, you know, the Army,
- 15:43the Navy and Marine Corps.
- 15:44So congratulations to everybody.
- 15:48Two hundred and fifty.
- 15:50Now,
- 15:51we had a blast yesterday for the two
- 15:53fifty.
- 15:55The city of Sallisaw is not doing their
- 15:57fireworks until tonight.
- 16:00So actually, after the podcast here,
- 16:02we're going to go watch some fireworks.
- 16:04But last night,
- 16:07all like everywhere in the city,
- 16:09everyone was shooting fireworks off.
- 16:11And it was awesome, man.
- 16:13I've never seen so many daggum fireworks
- 16:16in the town or in a town like
- 16:18that.
- 16:19Just, you know,
- 16:19individuals shooting them off.
- 16:21And of course, the girls,
- 16:22they got they got to shoot their fireworks
- 16:24off.
- 16:24And, you know, they had a good time.
- 16:27No fingers were lost.
- 16:29So we're good.
- 16:30We may not be able to hear very
- 16:32well after some of those,
- 16:34but it was a good time.
- 16:36They had fun and we got to see
- 16:38lots of fireworks.
- 16:39So it was great.
- 16:39It was a good time.
- 16:42City of Salisbury fireworks are tonight.
- 16:45So I don't know if it'll compare to
- 16:46last night though.
- 16:48I don't know.
- 16:48We'll see.
- 16:51After our fireworks display last night,
- 16:54I spent about an hour.
- 16:55So immediately after we were done setting
- 16:57off fireworks in the middle of the street,
- 16:59we cleaned up all the mess in the
- 17:00street with flashlights and, you know,
- 17:03leaf blowers and all kinds of stuff.
- 17:05And then I woke up this morning and
- 17:07came out on the front porch to drink
- 17:08a cup of coffee with my girlfriend.
- 17:10And we could count all the shell pieces
- 17:13and all the shrapnel all over the yard.
- 17:16So I spent about an hour picking up,
- 17:19you know,
- 17:20firework pieces all from my yard.
- 17:22And now looking here at my driveway...
- 17:25That's about ten feet that way.
- 17:26I can see, like,
- 17:27shell remnants and paper and wadding and
- 17:30all that kind of stuff all over the
- 17:32driveway.
- 17:33It's awesome.
- 17:34Nice.
- 17:34I mean, it was a good time.
- 17:36It was a good time.
- 17:37Yeah.
- 17:38Of course a good time.
- 17:40Yeah.
- 17:41Man.
- 17:43And zero fireworks.
- 17:44It was super happy.
- 17:46It just seems like it seems cheap to
- 17:48me now to do fireworks.
- 17:50It just doesn't feel the same.
- 17:51I'm broken.
- 17:53That's unfortunate.
- 17:56Mark, I mean, hear me out on that.
- 17:58You know,
- 17:59it just kind of seems like I'm playing
- 18:01with Legos after I played with the real
- 18:03thing for a long time.
- 18:04Legos are fun.
- 18:07It's just not the same.
- 18:08I can't get down with it.
- 18:10It's like kind of going back to like
- 18:14coloring books at a certain point, man.
- 18:16It's like, well, I don't know.
- 18:21I'm sorry, man.
- 18:22The Jordanians and they used to take their
- 18:24fireworks are like on another level.
- 18:25So they take a shape charge or a
- 18:27crater charge.
- 18:29You remember the old shape charges glass
- 18:31down?
- 18:32It puts like a spot for like telephone
- 18:34poles.
- 18:34You can bury them in.
- 18:34Right, right.
- 18:36They turn upside down or a fifty five
- 18:37gallon barrel of diesel and then they put
- 18:39like a bag of red dye in this
- 18:41thing through the diesel and they create
- 18:45this giant red fireball.
- 18:46You can see for like miles.
- 18:48I'm like, that is fireworks.
- 18:50Wow.
- 18:50I'm like, yeah,
- 18:54this is something I would... Aaron,
- 18:56your buddies were doing some stuff kind of
- 18:58like that, weren't they?
- 19:00Yeah, they were blowing up Tannerite.
- 19:02There it is.
- 19:09Yeah.
- 19:10That was their fireworks.
- 19:12Yeah.
- 19:13They frowned on that in the city limits,
- 19:14I think.
- 19:16Except they realized they were probably
- 19:17too close at at twenty five yards away.
- 19:23Oh, God.
- 19:23Yeah.
- 19:23It felt a little bit of heat.
- 19:25Nobody was harmed.
- 19:26Nobody was harmed.
- 19:27But it was like your eyelashes,
- 19:29your eyebrows.
- 19:29That's how you get rid of them.
- 19:32Yeah.
- 19:32Yeah.
- 19:32You turn very Hispanic very fast when you
- 19:34do shit like that.
- 19:35You're going to put that show the marker
- 19:39from that on.
- 19:45That's what I'm talking about.
- 19:46They do tattooed eyebrows now,
- 19:49so they just get them tattooed.
- 19:51Oh yeah, that's right.
- 19:54Sharpie it.
- 19:55They even do like their lipstick.
- 19:57They do lipstick tattoos.
- 19:59They do all kinds of crazy things now.
- 20:09Tattooed hair.
- 20:09That's weird too.
- 20:10Tattooed hair?
- 20:10Yes.
- 20:10What?
- 20:10That might be the only way we get
- 20:11Mark to grow a beard.
- 20:13yeah we're gonna we're gonna hold him down
- 20:17and and we're gonna do a tattoo on
- 20:19us on his face we'll get it we'll
- 20:22get it there we got you mark don't
- 20:24worry about it feed him a steak he'll
- 20:26be all right yeah yeah yeah he'll do
- 20:29mark will do anything for a steak
- 20:37Ah, shoot.
- 20:38So have you guys,
- 20:40did anybody take a look at that link
- 20:42that I sent out today of the guy
- 20:44that compares?
- 20:47uh different people or what have you um
- 20:50i i don't know if there's anything to
- 20:51it or anything but uh it was very
- 20:54interesting to watch uh and you know i
- 20:58don't know maybe there's something to it
- 20:59but he was talking like demons uh being
- 21:02reborn and all kinds of craziness now i
- 21:05do believe in demons and uh all that
- 21:07type of stuff but uh i don't know
- 21:09it's pretty neat pretty neat little clip
- 21:12yeah i i i just i i would
- 21:17i've seen a lot of those videos and
- 21:18and i didn't watch too many of his
- 21:21but i i know somebody commented on there
- 21:24uh i read one of the comments because
- 21:26i like to see what people got to
- 21:27say about it but oh yeah one of
- 21:30them said if you really thought that this
- 21:33was like a skin walker or whatever they
- 21:35call them uh a demon uh going and
- 21:39you know entering somebody else's
- 21:42is, you know, shape-shifting or whatever,
- 21:44right?
- 21:45Yeah.
- 21:47Don't you think they would like
- 21:48you know,
- 21:49have more power to do like fix,
- 21:52fix the aging issues and,
- 21:54and all this other stuff.
- 21:55And I'm like, I was like, yeah,
- 21:58I don't know.
- 22:01There's a lot of stuff.
- 22:02There's a lot of stuff that'll fix your
- 22:04aging.
- 22:05Yeah.
- 22:06You face facelifts.
- 22:08I'm going to put two barrels in the
- 22:10face of this real quick.
- 22:12Madison was like five foot tall.
- 22:13Okay.
- 22:14Yeah.
- 22:15Yeah.
- 22:16Billy Madison or Adam Sandler is not five
- 22:20foot tall.
- 22:20How tall is he, by the way?
- 22:22He's like six foot tall.
- 22:25He's not short.
- 22:26He's really six one?
- 22:27I think he's over six foot.
- 22:29He plays basketball all the time.
- 22:31But I mean, Madison was like a midget.
- 22:35That's right.
- 22:35He was short.
- 22:37That's interesting.
- 22:38His voice was super high.
- 22:41No, Adam Sandler is... I mean,
- 22:43over the years, maybe his balls dropped.
- 22:45You know, it's possible.
- 22:47There's also a billion people,
- 22:49a few billion people.
- 22:50The odds are that somebody's going to look
- 22:52kind of like somebody else.
- 22:53It's pretty good at this point.
- 22:55Yeah, that's a good point.
- 22:57Okay.
- 22:58I'm not going to make this real dark,
- 22:59but how many times are you rolling down
- 23:00the street and you see somebody who's
- 23:01like, oh, shit,
- 23:02I haven't seen that person in a long
- 23:04time.
- 23:04Like, oh, no way.
- 23:05That's someone I knew from Afghanistan.
- 23:07They're not alive anymore.
- 23:08So there is that.
- 23:09You see, like, ghosts every time.
- 23:11Yeah.
- 23:12Transpose certain things on somebody else.
- 23:15Yes, he goes.
- 23:17How long have you been around this game?
- 23:19That's a good point, man.
- 23:21Good point.
- 23:23There's a book out there called Thinking
- 23:25Slow and Fast,
- 23:27and it explains how your brain can come
- 23:33to conclusions so quickly,
- 23:35how you can come to answers so quickly,
- 23:38because your brain will fill in the gaps
- 23:41of missing information without you
- 23:43realizing it.
- 23:44So,
- 23:45and that's where I think a lot of
- 23:47the deja vu and some of these,
- 23:51I think I saw something.
- 23:53That's your brain adding information where
- 23:55it needed information.
- 23:56It didn't have it.
- 23:58That's just how the brain works.
- 24:00It's a very, very interesting book.
- 24:02Thinking, comma, slow and fast.
- 24:05Thinking slow and fast.
- 24:07Malcolm Gladwell with Blink along those
- 24:09same lines.
- 24:09I mean,
- 24:10those books are kind of filling like all
- 24:12those things, right?
- 24:14It's not witchcraft.
- 24:15It ain't demons.
- 24:16It's just brain power, man.
- 24:18Hey, I don't know about you.
- 24:21I don't get a lot of deja vu,
- 24:23but man,
- 24:24almost every day I get vuja day.
- 24:27I mean,
- 24:27stuff happens to me that I didn't know
- 24:30was going to happen at all.
- 24:31I mean,
- 24:31it's all day long most of the time.
- 24:35Well, what do they always say?
- 24:36It's like mental exercises.
- 24:37If you go through enough scenarios,
- 24:38you're not going to be surprised by
- 24:39anything.
- 24:41So...
- 24:42park i mean you played this game too
- 24:44the red cell if you let your red
- 24:46cell run wild you're going to go through
- 24:48every type of scenario that you can
- 24:49possibly imagine without a doubt yep and
- 24:54the red cell people are some of the
- 24:55trickiest nastiest people you ever met in
- 24:57your life they're scary sons of they are
- 25:04I've been a couple of scenarios where like
- 25:06I was playing blue cell and the white
- 25:08cell just injected like a red cell like
- 25:09scenario.
- 25:10Like, and it was like,
- 25:12these guys are sadistic.
- 25:14Uh, we were doing a exercise off, uh,
- 25:17Sierra Island, the tabletop.
- 25:20And so we're trying not to take our
- 25:22assaults or our, uh, troop chop,
- 25:25troop choppers cross because it gets ESU
- 25:28twenty three fours.
- 25:28So we're going to take everything,
- 25:30do a faint on this side of the
- 25:31island, hit them this side of the island.
- 25:34Well, he took his ZSUs, dug them in,
- 25:35and put them on direct fire so all
- 25:37of our amphibians got smoked in the water.
- 25:38I was like,
- 25:39he's a son of a bitch, man.
- 25:41Just dropped the guns down and was like,
- 25:43just pour our stuff apart.
- 25:45That guy is mean,
- 25:48and he's very well good at it.
- 25:49He's very good at what he does.
- 25:54Love it.
- 25:56So did anybody stay up for the fireworks
- 25:59last night on TV?
- 26:01There was fireworks on TV last night?
- 26:05Yeah.
- 26:06Like on the National Mall right now is
- 26:08the National Fair.
- 26:10So they have like a big Ferris wheel
- 26:12and everything going on right now.
- 26:13No kidding.
- 26:15But they they.
- 26:18Yeah.
- 26:18So but like they got rained out.
- 26:20There was a rain delay last night because
- 26:22like hail and all that kind of stuff.
- 26:24So everybody went into the Smithsonian's
- 26:27and at eleven o'clock at night,
- 26:29they started letting people back into the
- 26:31fairground area.
- 26:32Um, and then right around, uh,
- 26:35Trump came out, gave, uh, about a fifteen,
- 26:37twenty minute speech, and then,
- 26:39which is really cool, um, because...
- 26:41Before the fireworks?
- 26:42Yes.
- 26:43Uh, but what he did is he, uh,
- 26:45he basically, you know, like, uh,
- 26:47when he does the State of the Union,
- 26:48or how he does, uh,
- 26:49he invites all kinds of people out,
- 26:51and he
- 26:52honor this person well he kind of did
- 26:53the same thing but he did it to
- 26:54all the flags in history so all the
- 26:57flags the actual flags you know throughout
- 26:59history um were up on stage with him
- 27:02and he would tell a story about some
- 27:04kind of you know hero and that hero
- 27:05would come out and salute you know the
- 27:07the the first flag of the continental you
- 27:10know united states or
- 27:11then the you know the first you know
- 27:13the actual stars and stripes uh the flag
- 27:15over iwo jima you know so it was
- 27:17he kind of went wow yeah he went
- 27:19through america's history through all the
- 27:21flags um and then and then uh you
- 27:24know at the end then fireworks started and
- 27:27uh i guess they they tried to break
- 27:29some kind of guinness world record or
- 27:30something like that they had to have more
- 27:32than four hundred
- 27:34things in the air in one second,
- 27:35within one second, something like that.
- 27:37So, I don't know.
- 27:38But, like, I mean, it was a solid,
- 27:40solid, like, I don't, like, the,
- 27:45I guess the fireworks were on,
- 27:47it wasn't just one bank of fireworks.
- 27:49There were fireworks all over the city,
- 27:51all going off,
- 27:51all coordinated and all this kind of
- 27:53stuff.
- 27:53So, I mean, it was actually pretty cool.
- 27:55I thought they did a,
- 27:56they thought it did a really good job.
- 27:59So, they tried to outdo San Diego from,
- 28:00like, ten years ago?
- 28:02I guess.
- 28:02Oh, yeah.
- 28:03the big boom they launched every firework
- 28:07at the same time on accident is that
- 28:12what happened in san diego yes
- 28:17That's funny.
- 28:17It caused a huge smoke screen so you
- 28:19couldn't see anything.
- 28:23It's messed up.
- 28:26All the timers were set for zero and
- 28:28they switched it on and it just shot
- 28:31them all at the same time.
- 28:33It was amazing.
- 28:35It had to be impressive when it happened,
- 28:37but can you imagine you get there
- 28:39expecting this kind of
- 28:41maybe a half hour show or something like
- 28:43that.
- 28:43It's a couple of seconds.
- 28:46Well, there it is.
- 28:47All right.
- 28:48The smoke was so thick that you couldn't
- 28:52see nothing for probably a half hour.
- 28:59That's funny.
- 29:00That's pretty good.
- 29:03We took our fireworks display when we were
- 29:05on our cruise.
- 29:09We had a whole day of on the
- 29:10water when we were coming back from
- 29:12Lookout Key all the way back to South
- 29:14Carolina, or back to, I'm sorry,
- 29:15Port Canaveral.
- 29:16So there's a big pirate party,
- 29:18everybody dresses up like pirates,
- 29:20and then basically the whole pirate show
- 29:23ends on, and the explosions!
- 29:26And then this one little red flare goes
- 29:28across the bow of the ship.
- 29:32That was it?
- 29:33It was supposed to be something else.
- 29:35It was supposed to be a huge firework
- 29:36display, but the way the ship was facing,
- 29:39the wind would have brought all the
- 29:40fireworks and all the smoke back over the
- 29:42ship.
- 29:44So you have all this dramatic music that's
- 29:46supposed to have fireworks to it,
- 29:47and then all you see is this one
- 29:49flare.
- 29:51Then about three minutes later,
- 29:53one more flare.
- 29:55Then about five minutes after that,
- 29:57three flares.
- 29:58And that was it.
- 30:00Literally had some guy down there with an
- 30:02orange flare gun.
- 30:06Reload!
- 30:13The best term I could come up with
- 30:14was overwhelmingly underwhelming.
- 30:16No, overwhelmingly underwhelming.
- 30:23Oh my god, that was good.
- 30:25Let's see, what does this say?
- 30:28Missed out from the storm.
- 30:29Our building that I live in in the
- 30:30center part of the building,
- 30:31the ceiling completely collapsed.
- 30:33Oh, my God.
- 30:34And the workout facility and the fire
- 30:36company were there.
- 30:37It's absolutely crazy.
- 30:39They may have to condemn the building.
- 30:41Holy moly.
- 30:44Steve-O building may be.
- 30:46Man, it didn't hurt anybody, did it,
- 30:51Steve-O?
- 30:51I'm glad he's safe.
- 30:52Yeah.
- 30:53Yeah.
- 30:58or at least alive, holy cow.
- 31:06What does that say?
- 31:06I love it.
- 31:07I love it.
- 31:07Well, shoot.
- 31:07What else do we want to chat about
- 31:08tonight?
- 31:09What do we got going on in the
- 31:10near future?
- 31:11What do you guys got coming up?
- 31:15Soon as I come back from the trip,
- 31:17I think I actually have to cut my
- 31:19trip a day short.
- 31:20I was going to stay one whole day
- 31:22in Lynchburg and tour the Jack Daniels
- 31:24distillery,
- 31:25but I think I'm just going to wake
- 31:27up in Lynchburg and leave because I need
- 31:29to be back for a school board meeting
- 31:32that's
- 31:33following day and if I wait a whole
- 31:36day to leave I'll be still on the
- 31:38road at the time the school board meeting
- 31:39starts so uh-huh so yeah I was really
- 31:42I was kind of for that but then
- 31:44the next day after I'm going to fish
- 31:46concert with my kid and I go yeah
- 31:49yeah I got some pretty decent tickets
- 31:51we're not on the floor because they wanted
- 31:53two hundred and sixty bucks for floor
- 31:55tickets but we're like three three three
- 31:59rows up from the floor so that'd be
- 32:01fun
- 32:03um and then that's like yeah and i
- 32:05mean she asked me if i wanted to
- 32:07go so uh i'm looking for like my
- 32:11first concert with my kid um well not
- 32:13my first concert but my first fish concert
- 32:15with my kids um we've taken it to
- 32:17other concerts but uh and then after i
- 32:20come back it's uh two weeks um to
- 32:22get my classroom and uh the choir
- 32:25classroom ready uh for school to start and
- 32:27then
- 32:28um we start professional development on
- 32:30august third so uh i mean it's right
- 32:33around the corner yeah it's crazy like
- 32:37fight club where if it's your first fish
- 32:39concert you have to rip a bong or
- 32:42how does that work it's a requirement is
- 32:47bong ripping a requirement a fish i assume
- 32:49it is i mean
- 32:52I mean, it would make sense, but I,
- 32:55I mean, I, I mean, I,
- 32:57I wouldn't say that, you know, I have,
- 32:58I have partaken in any of this stuff,
- 32:59but I've seen lots of stuff being passed
- 33:01around, you know, at a fish concert,
- 33:04but not, never a bong, never a bong.
- 33:06I never,
- 33:06I've never seen it because those are,
- 33:08I mean,
- 33:08I'm told they can be kind of large
- 33:10and hard to conceal.
- 33:11It's a fish concert.
- 33:14I see that, yeah.
- 33:15I bet you had a fish concert.
- 33:16It's very similar to San Diego when they
- 33:18had the explosion, like all the smoke,
- 33:20right?
- 33:22I would imagine it's very similar.
- 33:24I'm not saying it's in Florida,
- 33:27but if they were to do one in
- 33:28Florida, nothing is concealed.
- 33:33They don't conceal anything.
- 33:37They didn't at the Hank Williams Jr.
- 33:38concert.
- 33:39Your bong's got wheels that you just
- 33:41turned for a show.
- 33:45Yeah.
- 33:46Rolling up with a huge bong.
- 33:51Oh, man.
- 33:53I will say the Hank Jr.
- 33:55concert was pretty good, huh?
- 33:57Yeah.
- 33:58He changed hats quite often.
- 34:01I wrote a couple songs in there where
- 34:03he didn't, and I was like, oh,
- 34:04he's not changing hats anymore.
- 34:05And the next thing you know, he changes.
- 34:09And I don't understand the reason why,
- 34:12but man,
- 34:13he was changing hats on almost every song,
- 34:16man.
- 34:16It's craziness.
- 34:17But I'll tell you,
- 34:18for seventy seven years old,
- 34:19he was still getting down.
- 34:21Oh, yeah.
- 34:23You got to sweat through those hats so
- 34:24damn fast on the stage.
- 34:25Was it outdoors or indoors?
- 34:27Oh, yeah.
- 34:28It's outdoors.
- 34:29Yeah.
- 34:30I like every song.
- 34:31Oh, yeah.
- 34:32Yeah.
- 34:33I about sweat through when I just hit
- 34:34the first pass on my lawn.
- 34:36So I'm like, I understand.
- 34:37Yeah.
- 34:41At the end of it,
- 34:42I just take it off the washer.
- 34:43It's like, oh,
- 34:43we just didn't wash this thing.
- 34:44All right.
- 34:54Mike, what do you got?
- 34:54I need to throw in the washing machine.
- 34:59Oh, shoot.
- 35:02What did you say?
- 35:04What am I doing?
- 35:05Yeah.
- 35:06Working.
- 35:09Damn the man.
- 35:14We leave Thursday for a Mediterranean
- 35:16cruise.
- 35:17Nice.
- 35:17Oh, wow.
- 35:17Where are you going?
- 35:20Yeah,
- 35:20I'm working on a Mediterranean cruise.
- 35:22Spain, France.
- 35:27Yeah,
- 35:27we're flying to Barcelona and then it's
- 35:31Barcelona.
- 35:32We get there two days before we do
- 35:33a seven day cruise and we're there two
- 35:35days and then fly home.
- 35:36So.
- 35:39What's that?
- 35:40What are you looking forward to?
- 35:43All of it.
- 35:45That and out of that and keeping anything
- 35:48I want to bring back with me in
- 35:49my front pocket so I don't get
- 35:51pickpocketed.
- 35:53They do know how to pick front pockets
- 35:57just like back pockets.
- 35:58Yes, I know they do.
- 35:59Chain that stuff down to you.
- 36:00Where are you stopping at?
- 36:06I'd have to look here.
- 36:07I don't know.
- 36:08I'm going to lie to you.
- 36:09I don't remember now.
- 36:10I can pull it up.
- 36:11I might need to ask a favor.
- 36:12I got a pallet stuck in customs over
- 36:14there.
- 36:14It's still over there, huh?
- 36:21While you're there, stop.
- 36:23Put a boot in her ass and tell
- 36:24her to get it through.
- 36:27That was good.
- 36:29Mike the expediter.
- 36:31Yes, I might need to expedite this shit.
- 36:34I don't have a passport.
- 36:35I don't know why this shit's still sitting
- 36:37here, damn it.
- 36:43day two we're in uh marcel marce and
- 36:47then niche in monaco nice nice visa then
- 36:53we're in sicily salerno and then rome was
- 36:57our final yeah while you're in rome i'm
- 37:02going to send you an address go take
- 37:03care yeah
- 37:06Policia.
- 37:09Hey.
- 37:10When in Rome.
- 37:11When in Rome.
- 37:12I'll give you the sign, okay?
- 37:13They're good.
- 37:15They're my boys.
- 37:17You're good.
- 37:18Just go put a boot in this guy's
- 37:19ass.
- 37:19Some customs house is holding on to all
- 37:21my film over there.
- 37:22I've been trying to get it back for
- 37:24two months.
- 37:26I mean, that is the American way.
- 37:29I don't want to know anything.
- 37:30The Earth.
- 37:31Pictures of the Earth.
- 37:34Um, yes.
- 37:37Putting a boot in somebody's ass is the
- 37:39American way.
- 37:40Yeah.
- 37:41There's a whole song to say.
- 37:45Yeah, I know.
- 37:46Last night we have a largest archive for
- 37:48images of the earth and on the world.
- 37:50So we get pallets of stuff sent to
- 37:53us from everywhere.
- 37:54So then we digitize it in the archive
- 37:57and then send it back.
- 38:01So, wow.
- 38:02The film, because.
- 38:03It probably went over Vic's house,
- 38:05and he was out in the yard in
- 38:06a thong, and that's probably about it,
- 38:08and that's all I would say.
- 38:09I mean,
- 38:09that is how he mows his lawn.
- 38:11Doesn't everybody?
- 38:12Vic was still doing other things.
- 38:14Doesn't everybody?
- 38:17It's not young.
- 38:17It's archived stuff.
- 38:18I mean, we got stuff way back when.
- 38:23In the early spring and late fall,
- 38:25he might put a jacket on.
- 38:27Why?
- 38:27Yeah.
- 38:29But still the thong.
- 38:30Yeah.
- 38:30Yeah.
- 38:30Yeah.
- 38:32So if you go through Salerno and there's
- 38:35anything you can do for the landings,
- 38:38I highly recommend it.
- 38:40Well, that's one thing I was looking at.
- 38:42A couple other people had said the same
- 38:45thing.
- 38:46Sicilian landings,
- 38:48especially with the southern coast.
- 38:51Anything that's close to the beach is
- 38:53going to be just amazing.
- 38:55Yeah.
- 38:57It should be fun.
- 38:59Which grizzly?
- 39:00Norwegian.
- 39:01Nice.
- 39:04They're still going to be hungover from
- 39:06the World Cup, so watch out.
- 39:13Did Mexico and England already play?
- 39:19I thought that was today or tonight.
- 39:21Is it tonight?
- 39:24I'm not sure what time, but yeah,
- 39:25it is today.
- 39:28Did Brazil just get knocked out yesterday,
- 39:31I think?
- 39:32Really?
- 39:32Yeah.
- 39:35Yeah.
- 39:35Norway kicked him butt, huh?
- 39:37They said England's the last Muslim
- 39:40country that's in the World Cup.
- 39:42Morocco's still there.
- 39:50Morocco?
- 39:50I see what he did there,
- 39:51by the way.
- 39:52That was nice.
- 39:53That was nice.
- 39:54Well,
- 39:54I guess the fun part is Perryway got
- 39:56the shit kicked out of him by France.
- 39:58And that's a good thing.
- 39:59But Bobby got him.
- 40:01But Paraguay is just like the dirty
- 40:03players,
- 40:03like the Philadelphia Flyers of the World
- 40:06Cup.
- 40:06Every time you go by them,
- 40:07they're gonna trip you or throw something
- 40:09at you.
- 40:10They're just a bunch of pricks.
- 40:11So there we got knocked out finally.
- 40:15Who's the US play?
- 40:17What's the next game?
- 40:18Belgium.
- 40:20Belgium?
- 40:22Belgium tomorrow at seven thirty.
- 40:24Mexico and England's on right now.
- 40:27Yeah,
- 40:28Morocco knocked out Canada yesterday.
- 40:32and then the great spice race so so
- 40:37the sixteen hundreds is recreated so
- 40:39portugal and spain are going after each
- 40:40other uh yeah norway got brazil yeah so
- 40:46it's been uh it's interesting somehow that
- 40:54was sad very good or fun to watch
- 40:57like going after argentina i mean
- 41:00You had a country of, like,
- 41:01forty thousand people going after, like,
- 41:03Argentina.
- 41:04I was like, yeah, get up, boys.
- 41:06They missed in overtime.
- 41:08That was cool, though.
- 41:09Pretty good.
- 41:09Yeah, wild times.
- 41:13There you go, Vic.
- 41:14I helped you out.
- 41:18No,
- 41:19so Mike's going to go through Marseille
- 41:20and Nice and all those, like,
- 41:22southern French cities.
- 41:23That's going to be wild.
- 41:24I don't know.
- 41:27I've never been.
- 41:28And then to Italy?
- 41:33You've been to France?
- 41:34What are you talking about?
- 41:36Not in the southern cities.
- 41:42Oh, no.
- 41:42Yeah, it's a lot different down there.
- 41:43Are they the same assholes to Americans?
- 41:46Parisians are different, though.
- 41:48They're way different than the rest of the
- 41:50outside of Paris personnel,
- 41:54which I don't know what you would call
- 41:55them.
- 41:55Frenchies?
- 41:57Because that's what I was told to say
- 41:58is come here, Frenchie, when I was there.
- 42:03I could be why they didn't like me.
- 42:05I don't know.
- 42:10I used to do that to Davis.
- 42:11Just call him Pepe Le Pew.
- 42:16Pepe Le Pew, come here.
- 42:19I tried to play nice and they were
- 42:20still assholes to me.
- 42:23I went in to buy cigars and it
- 42:26was like,
- 42:27and he looked at me and he went,
- 42:29No.
- 42:30Just like that.
- 42:32No.
- 42:34I'm like, all right, well,
- 42:35shit just got real.
- 42:36JVD, do cigars people play?
- 42:39Without saying a word to me,
- 42:41he went and grabbed my two cigars,
- 42:42rang it up, looked at the total,
- 42:44held out his hand.
- 42:49Andrew,
- 42:49you were there when we went to that
- 42:50little cafe.
- 42:51Remember that?
- 42:53We stopped at a cafe and everybody,
- 42:56because they heard me speak French in the
- 42:59cigar shop,
- 43:00so we go to our first little cafe
- 43:02and sit down and then everybody gives me
- 43:04the elbow.
- 43:05Hey, you talk to them.
- 43:07It's the same thing.
- 43:08As soon as the waiter came out,
- 43:10I was like, he looks at us,
- 43:11he goes, fuck, American, what do you want?
- 43:25oh my god that's great what do you
- 43:29want i would i would walk around the
- 43:31first time i got to go over there
- 43:33uh was with uh davis uh band officer
- 43:36davis and uh so i would do everything
- 43:39that i possibly could to embarrass him so
- 43:42i'd be like come here frenchie
- 43:44like really loud.
- 43:45He'd be like, shut up, dude, shut up.
- 43:50It was great.
- 43:51I mean, he, he didn't like it,
- 43:54nor did the Frenchies,
- 43:55but I got a good laugh out of
- 43:57it.
- 43:59I mean,
- 44:00thank you for contributing to their
- 44:01disdain of us.
- 44:02I mean, it's, it's already there.
- 44:04Why not continue it?
- 44:07Medicaid asshole.
- 44:13But that was only in Paris, though.
- 44:18Any country that has an entire section of
- 44:21their government dedicated to the
- 44:23preservation of their language takes
- 44:26themselves way too seriously.
- 44:28They're so sensitive about the
- 44:30creolization of their language,
- 44:31they have an entire government agency
- 44:33designed to maintain proper French.
- 44:38Are you serious?
- 44:41Wow.
- 44:41Yeah.
- 44:41Yeah.
- 44:42How's that going?
- 44:43So even if you're like from Montreal and
- 44:45you're a Quebec asshole and you try to
- 44:48go to Paris and speak French,
- 44:49it's not the right French.
- 44:50So if you're going to go there,
- 44:53turn this into the biggest Texas draw you
- 44:55can and speak as little French as possible
- 44:58and see what happens.
- 44:59You're going to get the best service
- 45:01you've ever had in your life because
- 45:02they're going to try and kill it that
- 45:04quick.
- 45:04So.
- 45:07I wore my cowboy hat when I went
- 45:09with Davis and when I kept saying,
- 45:12come here, Frenchie.
- 45:13I was in my cowboy hat.
- 45:15I was just like, I don't care.
- 45:18Whatever, D. And it was fun, man.
- 45:21I had a blast.
- 45:23Last time I was in France was the
- 45:24middle of the night,
- 45:25Charles de Gaulle Airport,
- 45:26and I had a light machine gun hanging
- 45:27off me as I was walking through the
- 45:28airport.
- 45:30We had to take him off the plane.
- 45:32Come at me.
- 45:34That's awesome.
- 45:37were flying to qatar we got stuck and
- 45:39uh of course tower airlines had another
- 45:41problem with the airline so we got off
- 45:44the airport and uh couldn't leave on the
- 45:46airplane so walking through the airport
- 45:49like two in the morning charles de gaulle
- 45:52i saw hanging up you know the spare
- 45:53barrel on my back and like that's i'm
- 45:55in the shop they're not seeing everybody
- 45:58got real polite real fucking quick yeah i
- 46:02bet they did pro tips
- 46:05pro tips bring your gun when you go
- 46:07to not just any guy all the guns
- 46:11all the guns all all the guns yeah
- 46:14that's like the most American answer that
- 46:16I've I've probably heard I've ever heard
- 46:20it's like this guy is like lands in
- 46:22uh it's either France or Germany and it's
- 46:24like you where's your passport it's like I
- 46:27think I it's somewhere hold on it's like
- 46:29you know you need a passport it's
- 46:31Bitch,
- 46:31the last time I landed in your airfield,
- 46:32I didn't need a passport because I was
- 46:33dropping bombs over it.
- 46:34So stop it.
- 46:37It's dropping bombs over it.
- 46:38And there wasn't any Frenchman there to
- 46:40check it.
- 46:41That's the whole story, right?
- 46:42Last time I came to this beach,
- 46:45it was like there was no passport
- 46:47officials to check my passport.
- 46:48Yeah.
- 46:51That's funny.
- 46:55Because I was busy saving your country.
- 46:57For the second time last century.
- 46:58Yeah.
- 47:02you're welcome and every time we tell that
- 47:05story they go back to like seventeen
- 47:07seventy seven eight or we helped you there
- 47:11was more french people fighting at the
- 47:13battle of yorktown than there was
- 47:14americans so oh wow well i mean they
- 47:18helped us yeah yeah yeah we helped them
- 47:23yeah back and forth yeah we've i think
- 47:28we've helped them whatever yeah
- 47:30And now when you order coffee at the
- 47:32corner shop in France, you say, sure,
- 47:33for sure, for Muhammad Jihad.
- 47:34And there it was.
- 47:44Which means we will have to save them
- 47:46again eventually.
- 47:48Right?
- 47:48Right?
- 47:50That's a solid translation.
- 47:52Yeah.
- 47:52Yeah.
- 47:56So messed up.
- 47:57Why are we having so many international
- 47:58problems?
- 47:58I don't know.
- 48:00Yeah.
- 48:00I know, right?
- 48:02Mitch must be named ambassador somewhere
- 48:03in Muslim right now.
- 48:04He's going to be ambassador of France.
- 48:06And vetted right that quick.
- 48:06It's like, that was part of the archive.
- 48:08Too much.
- 48:08No, Mike,
- 48:11I hope you have a blast out there,
- 48:23man.
- 48:23Yeah.
- 48:25Yeah, it'll be a good time.
- 48:26I'm looking forward to it.
- 48:28At least to get out of here.
- 48:29Everything I keep seeing,
- 48:30it's as hot over there as it is
- 48:31here.
- 48:33Oh, yeah.
- 48:36The Mediterranean is always nice for you.
- 48:42No, I mean...
- 48:44What was the old rule with the Italians?
- 48:46If you're living on an island,
- 48:47they eat not seafood.
- 48:49And if you're living in the mountains,
- 48:53all they eat is fish.
- 48:55So that's wild.
- 48:59Yeah, Italian food.
- 49:02They can't figure it out either.
- 49:03So that's fun.
- 49:06I mean, they have pasta over there.
- 49:08It's good, right?
- 49:11Yeah, it's real good.
- 49:15Andrew just asked,
- 49:16they have pasta over there, don't they?
- 49:19Seriously?
- 49:21I've never been over there.
- 49:22I'm just going off what America told me.
- 49:25Where it's from.
- 49:28They have spaghetti and meatballs and
- 49:31macaroni.
- 49:32What do they call it over there?
- 49:34What do they call spaghetti and meatballs?
- 49:36Spaghetti and meatballs.
- 49:38Spaghetti.
- 49:38Spaghetti.
- 49:46I was waiting for me to answer that.
- 49:52I got a I got a Jersey Italian
- 49:55that lives next door.
- 49:56They don't call it spaghetti.
- 49:56They call it gravy.
- 49:59Oh, yeah.
- 50:00Yeah.
- 50:00Sauce.
- 50:00No.
- 50:01Yes.
- 50:01They call it gravy.
- 50:02Yeah.
- 50:02Depends on between Jersey and New York and
- 50:05that whole area.
- 50:06There's that English is hard.
- 50:08Is it sauce or gravy?
- 50:10Sunday gravy.
- 50:10Yeah.
- 50:11Yeah.
- 50:14English is hard.
- 50:16It is hard.
- 50:17I can't keep up with anything.
- 50:20That's why I don't even try anymore.
- 50:21I'm just like, whatever.
- 50:25I'll speak American,
- 50:27which is anything I want to say.
- 50:29It's Oklahoma.
- 50:29You can get away with it.
- 50:31It's true.
- 50:32It's true.
- 50:35I would say OSU.
- 50:38There are some educated people in
- 50:39Oklahoma.
- 50:39Same.
- 50:42Not really, Vic.
- 50:43Come on, man.
- 50:45You know the truth.
- 50:46You know the truth.
- 50:48There's not really...
- 50:50I'm just kidding.
- 50:51There are Oklahomans that are intelligent.
- 50:54Just not this one.
- 50:55So my wife's alumni at ASU,
- 50:57and I saw a video the other day.
- 50:59I picked a fight with her,
- 51:00and I was so proud of my girl.
- 51:02She got into ASU.
- 51:03I was like, who's going to tell him?
- 51:07Everybody gets into ASU.
- 51:09So I showed it to her,
- 51:10and she's like, shut the fuck up.
- 51:13There she is.
- 51:14There she is.
- 51:15Everybody gets into ASU.
- 51:17That's messed up, man.
- 51:19It's true.
- 51:21Harvard of the West, I thought.
- 51:23It's like the Harvard of Phoenix, man.
- 51:28Oh, my gosh.
- 51:36I was like, talk to my daughter.
- 51:39Did we go to ASU?
- 51:39She's like, why?
- 51:40I'm like,
- 51:41i don't know just ask it she's like
- 51:43no i don't like the good part is
- 51:45you don't even have to go there you
- 51:46just do it all online man she's like
- 51:48oh okay oh in that case sure oh
- 51:57my god that's great so my wife graduated
- 51:59from asu has got her masters down there

- 52:05with an arizona wildcats hat and shirt for
- 52:07me i'm like i don't think you know
- 52:09what you graduated from
- 52:20on the street so she comes back with
- 52:21a hat like this shirt for me like
- 52:23that's all i asked for she brings me
- 52:24back a hat when she goes on a
- 52:25trip like all right cool but yeah she

- 52:44The trash gets them.
- 52:45I cut the label off, shred it,
- 52:48and circular file the rest of it.
- 52:51Yeah, right there.
- 52:55It goes right back in your ASU Thrive.
- 52:59I just cut our address off and circular
- 53:03file it.
- 53:04Well,
- 53:05I would love to sit here and do
- 53:07this all night long,
- 53:08but I do have important stuff that's
- 53:11happening this evening.
- 53:12I'm still celebrating.
- 53:14I'm still celebrating.
- 53:17Merca.
- 53:17Merca.
- 53:18And come here, Pritchie.
- 53:21All right.
- 53:31Hopefully y'all didn't lose your sound and
- 53:34all that other stuff that's been
- 53:35happening.
- 53:36Are we still good?
- 53:36I'm still here.
- 53:37I'm still here.
- 53:39Nice.
- 53:40Whoa.
- 53:41Wow.
- 53:42We're moving up in the world.
- 53:43You know what I'm saying?
- 53:44We'll start with Jess with a book report.
- 53:48all right i'm going to go back to
- 53:48one of my favorite books i read in
- 53:50a specific time um so we're in uh
- 53:53hawaii and we're going to the solomons to
- 53:56do a burial at sea and then we're
- 53:58going to continue on with our western
- 53:59pacific excursion it was a summer of two
- 54:03thousand well it was the summer of so
- 54:07we were kind of figuring life out like
- 54:10everybody else at the time it was after
- 54:12the coal so
- 54:13but there was a book that i saw
- 54:15at the aphes shop on hickam and it
- 54:17was goodbye darkness by william manchester
- 54:20william manchester great writer and it was
- 54:24basically him going through his world war
- 54:27ii experience and when i read this
- 54:30actually on the way to the solomons where
- 54:32we buried a sailor at sea or well
- 54:36we committed into the deep in iron bottom
- 54:38sound where the rest of his shipmates
- 54:41didn't make it back
- 54:44and and when you start thinking about
- 54:45because we talk about guadalcanal like are
- 54:49just kind of topically but this is my
- 54:52first experience actually kind of digging
- 54:54into the first marine division on
- 54:55guadalcanal and the experience these guys
- 54:58had so a great book it talks about
- 55:01his time across the pacific so i was
- 55:04at sea reading a book about a guy
- 55:05going across on the troop ships in the
- 55:08guadalcanal so if you want to
- 55:12But he was probably one of the better
- 55:15American history writers.
- 55:17And he wrote two very good books about
- 55:21Winston Spencer Churchill.
- 55:23And they're kind of the definitive
- 55:24histories of Churchill.
- 55:26So The Last Lion and The Last Lion,
- 55:28Visions of Glory, and then Alone,
- 55:30about his time before America stepped in
- 55:33into World War II.
- 55:35But that's the writer he is.
- 55:36And if you haven't had a chance,
- 55:38this thing was on there.
- 55:40There you go.
- 55:41But A Memoir of the Pacific War and
- 55:44William Manchester's Goodbye Darkness.
- 55:47And it's an amazing book.
- 55:48And at first, it's like a fever dream.
- 55:50But as he's just all the memories hidden
- 55:54when he lands in Hawaii and starts flying
- 55:55back.
- 55:56So you get a chance.
- 55:57This is one of those books I'd highly
- 55:59recommend.
- 56:00But for me, it's a piece of history,
- 56:02a specific time, and a specific writer.
- 56:04So I'm glad I found it on the
- 56:06stands when I did.
- 56:08Very cool.
- 56:10Thanks, man.
- 56:11Much appreciated.
- 56:12Let's jump up.
- 56:12Aaron, man,
- 56:13what do you got for us at that
- 56:15glorious beard?
- 56:16Golly.
- 56:17He just gave up.
- 56:24I'm done.
- 56:25Nope.
- 56:25Wrong button.
- 56:26I'm back.
- 56:29All right.
- 56:29So the quote I found is life is
- 56:32not as serious as our minds make it
- 56:34out to be.
- 56:36I like that.
- 56:42Yeah, that's good.
- 56:43We got to think about that, I think,
- 56:46more often.
- 56:49For some people,
- 56:51they take life too serious instead of just
- 56:54relaxing and trying to live life.
- 56:57We forget to live life sometimes.
- 56:59Oh, yeah.
- 56:59Oh, yeah.
- 57:00Yeah.
- 57:03That was good.
- 57:05It's the beard, man.
- 57:06It's the beard.
- 57:08I didn't keep it so straight, man.
- 57:12I use a straightener.
- 57:14Do you?
- 57:15Look at this.
- 57:16I have this problem with this.
- 57:19It's right there.
- 57:20Wild Willie's beard brush straightener is
- 57:22what it is.
- 57:24Is it like a steamer brush?
- 57:26What is it?
- 57:28It's a cultivator.
- 57:30It's a cultivate.
- 57:36Yeah,
- 57:36I should show you where it grows wild
- 57:38at.
- 57:44You don't brush that part, though.
- 57:46No.
- 57:46Why not?
- 57:49Why not?
- 57:51No balls.
- 57:54That's where the dare goes.
- 57:56That's where the dare goes.
- 57:58That's what happened.
- 57:59How did you know what dare smells like?
- 58:02I wanted to know that.
- 58:05You know why.
- 58:08We all know why.
- 58:11I do have a wife and four girls,
- 58:13and I was raised by my mother.
- 58:16Yeah.
- 58:17And my sister lived there,
- 58:18so I know what nary is.
- 58:21Good point.
- 58:21That's a good one.
- 58:23Stick with that.
- 58:24It's a good excuse.
- 58:25Good excuse.
- 58:26I like it.
- 58:28All right, Mike,
- 58:28what do you got for us, man?
- 58:32What?
- 58:32Sit here and listen about an error.
- 58:34I mean, let's talk about that.
- 58:36No,
- 58:36that's what you wanted to hear all night.
- 58:40No, the one I got for you.
- 58:42Mike wants to see the bikini lines.
- 58:44What's that?
- 58:45Yeah,
- 58:45I said Mike wants to see the bikini
- 58:46lines.
- 58:46Oh, yeah.
- 58:48That's what I'm going to see in those
- 58:49pictures,
- 58:50you and your damn tan lines out there
- 58:51and your Speedo.
- 58:52I was going to say, Nick,
- 58:54the women don't shave in France.
- 58:58That's true.
- 59:00It's true.
- 59:02They're cultivating everywhere out there.
- 59:04Peter's us, Vic.
- 59:09Were you there?
- 59:11Creeper?
- 59:16Vic uses your beard straightener.
- 59:21I got my own.
- 59:22I don't need to use anybody else's.
- 59:26All righty, all righty, all righty.
- 59:29The best words are the ones you are
- 59:31ready to receive.
- 59:36That's good.
- 59:40Wow.
- 59:42I don't know.
- 59:42Mark's going to have a rough go tonight.
- 59:44That was good.
- 59:45That was good.
- 59:46Well, the marks will be the best.
- 59:49They're the words we're getting ready to
- 59:50receive.
- 59:54We haven't got big yet.
- 59:58No pressure, man.
- 59:59Come on.
- 1:00:01And reflecting upon our two hundred and
- 1:00:03fiftieth,
- 1:00:04if you think the price of winning is
- 1:00:06too high,
- 1:00:06wait till you get the bill for regret.
- 1:00:13Yeah, that was good.
- 1:00:18Dang.
- 1:00:19Are we kind of sorry?
- 1:00:22We're not trying to be political.
- 1:00:25Jess,
- 1:00:26are you still drinking tea or what do
- 1:00:28you got going on over there?
- 1:00:29Oh, it's way past tea.
- 1:00:31Now I'm back doing Arnie Palmer's.
- 1:00:38I love it.
- 1:00:41I love it.
- 1:00:42I love it.
- 1:00:42You know what time it is.
- 1:00:54That's right.
- 1:00:56with Sergeant Major Mark O'Loughlin.
- 1:01:00So I think Vic has it tonight.
- 1:01:04I think he's got the best one.
- 1:01:07So I'm just going to give Mike some
- 1:01:10great advice.
- 1:01:11I'm going to pull out an old one
- 1:01:13since he's going to France and Italy where
- 1:01:17this cultivating of hair and things,
- 1:01:21some of the wild stuff.
- 1:01:23So I'm just going to remind him.
- 1:01:26that no matter how epic a mustache is,
- 1:01:31Mike, don't tell her how good it is.
- 1:01:43Unless she's a dwarf and it's the Lord
- 1:01:45of the Rings.
- 1:01:46They're real proud of that shit.
- 1:01:47That was good.
- 1:01:55That was good.
- 1:01:56I'm not going to lie.
- 1:01:57That was good.
- 1:01:59That's good.
