- 0:59Speaker 2: Apply let me ask you this.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Yeah, one of the things even I struggle with sometimes
- 1:04Speaker 3: is like how do you know when it's selling stock?
- 1:07Speaker 3: Because everybody, a lot of people tell you like, this
- 1:09Speaker 3: is a good time to buy the stock, right, Like obviously,
- 1:11Speaker 3: like if it's twenty percent off, if it's high, then
- 1:14Speaker 3: you can use that metrics or if it's you know,
- 1:16Speaker 3: it's different strategies of how to know when to buy
- 1:18Speaker 3: a stock, right, But there's not really too many metrics
- 1:22Speaker 3: or strategies that I've seen. It's know when it's selling stock.
- 1:25Speaker 3: So how do you what's your thoughts on that?
- 1:27Speaker 4: So I have a few ways in which I deal
- 1:30Speaker 4: with selling the stock right. So one of the ways
- 1:32Speaker 4: is I ask before I even buy a stock. First,
- 1:35Speaker 4: I want, you know, put a valuation on it, like
- 1:37Speaker 4: what I think the company is worth.
- 1:39Speaker 5: So before you get doing anything, you got to put a.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Price tag on it, after you research the business, after
- 1:44Speaker 4: you understand what it's worth. Because if you don't know
- 1:46Speaker 4: what it's worth, you don't know when to sell, you
- 1:48Speaker 4: don't know when to buy.
- 1:50Speaker 5: So you got to put that price tag on it.
- 1:51Speaker 4: And that only comes from doing the fundamental research right,
- 1:53Speaker 4: understanding the business. And so one of the things I
- 1:56Speaker 4: like to tell myself is simple once it gets a
- 2:00Speaker 4: hundred percent for me, now it's time for me to
- 2:03Speaker 4: think about do I have another business because I don't want.
- 2:06Speaker 2: To just set hundred percent profit.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't want to just sell and have the
- 2:11Speaker 4: money sitting in my account.
- 2:13Speaker 5: I think that's what most people do.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Like, so you got to put a tag on it
- 2:17Speaker 4: and then put a life expectancy on it, like what
- 2:19Speaker 4: do I expect it to do in this timeframe? And
- 2:22Speaker 4: is it up a certain percentage in this timeframe? So
- 2:25Speaker 4: for me, the goal is already buy and hold five.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Years, ten years, twenty years.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Like you have to have a life expectancy of it,
- 2:33Speaker 4: how you wanted to perform. And then I'm asking myself, well,
- 2:36Speaker 4: in this time if I'm up one hundred percent or more,
- 2:39Speaker 4: if i have another stock that I'm willing to invest in.
- 2:42Speaker 4: That's why we should always be looking for new businesses.
- 2:45Speaker 4: That's why I tell people all the time, like I
- 2:47Speaker 4: don't care what's going on every day, I'm researching new
- 2:50Speaker 4: businesses because the world going to keep on solving problems.
- 2:53Speaker 4: That's what businesses are, man, They solved problems, you know
- 2:55Speaker 4: what I'm saying. So the world always is presented with
- 2:57Speaker 4: a problem. Somebody's always going to try to do something better,
- 3:00Speaker 4: like Amazon drop whatever they drop, Boom, Snowflake coming with
- 3:03Speaker 4: they say I could do it better than Amazon.
- 3:04Speaker 6: You feel what I'm saying.
- 3:05Speaker 4: So now we're saying, Okay, let me find different businesses
- 3:08Speaker 4: that are solving different problems or doing things better than
- 3:11Speaker 4: other businesses. Even Jeff Bezos said that, he said, there's
- 3:13Speaker 4: going to be a time where some business is going
- 3:15Speaker 4: to come and do better than what I'm doing at
- 3:18Speaker 4: what I'm doing, which is why he keeps on spreading
- 3:21Speaker 4: a business out. So what I like to do is
- 3:23Speaker 4: again put the light time span on it, whether it's
- 3:26Speaker 4: a five year, three year, two year, one year, whatever
- 3:28Speaker 4: that case may be.
- 3:29Speaker 5: If I'm up one hundred percent or more and i
- 3:31Speaker 5: found another.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Business that I like, I can take those profits and
- 3:35Speaker 4: then put it in another piode.
- 3:36Speaker 7: So when you get to one hundred percent, right, are
- 3:39Speaker 7: you saying like, are you taking a portion of the
- 3:41Speaker 7: shares or you completely leaving the position?
- 3:44Speaker 6: Nah?
- 3:44Speaker 4: So I want to stay in a position right because
- 3:47Speaker 4: if it's up one hundred percent to me, that I
- 3:49Speaker 4: mean it's still performing well. Like if the fundamentals are increasing,
- 3:53Speaker 4: management is doing a great job.
- 3:54Speaker 6: That's cool.
- 3:55Speaker 4: I don't want to exit that position, right, so I
- 3:57Speaker 4: can take some of those profits, which means selling some
- 3:59Speaker 4: of the shares when people don't know, like because I
- 4:01Speaker 4: heard people ask me that, like if I take profit,
- 4:04Speaker 4: does that mean I'm selling some of the shares.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Of course you are, you know what I'm saying.
- 4:07Speaker 4: So you'll sell some of those shares and you'll put
- 4:09Speaker 4: it in a new business, and now you can start
- 4:11Speaker 4: another position with those profits, which is ideal, you know
- 4:16Speaker 4: what I'm saying. Another way for me to sell is
- 4:19Speaker 4: if the business is not performing well, you know what
- 4:21Speaker 4: I'm saying. So if I did the research on it,
- 4:23Speaker 4: if I evaluated a business, and also in evaluating a business,
- 4:26Speaker 4: when you put it life expectancy on it, time span
- 4:29Speaker 4: that you want to do it you being intentional, right,
- 4:31Speaker 4: and so you asking yourself what is the growth rate
- 4:33Speaker 4: of this business?
- 4:34Speaker 2: So how would you call?
- 4:35Speaker 3: Because this is something that even today in Thankment, somebody
- 4:37Speaker 3: came up to me and he was like, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 3: I know I should invest in good companies, but how
- 4:41Speaker 3: do I know? How do I find? How do I
- 4:43Speaker 3: even find a good company? Like do you have to
- 4:45Speaker 3: like read newspapers? Like how do you, like, what's your
- 4:49Speaker 3: process actually know? Okay, like you said, you got to
- 4:51Speaker 3: constantly find new businesses? Right, how do you constantly find
- 4:53Speaker 3: new business So an.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Easy way for me, I still use the method like
- 4:56Speaker 4: I did in prison. Man, I just look at all
- 4:58Speaker 4: them ticket symbols that's going on the bottom of CNBC,
- 5:01Speaker 4: Like that's putting it on training wheels. That's without you
- 5:03Speaker 4: happen to even do anything, or like you get on
- 5:06Speaker 4: CNBC shout out to the trappers because I told them this,
- 5:08Speaker 4: saying they do it now, Like you get on CNBC
- 5:11Speaker 4: and there's a bunch of ticket symbols running cross the bottom,
- 5:14Speaker 4: ones that you don't know about that like now what
- 5:16Speaker 4: is that?
- 5:17Speaker 5: Write it down? Like, don't be scared to do that.
- 5:19Speaker 4: And another thing is also I just look at what's
- 5:21Speaker 4: going on everything I'm buying or everything I'm looking at
- 5:24Speaker 4: it saying who made this?
- 5:26Speaker 6: What this is? Who produced this? Who did that?
- 5:28Speaker 4: You know, if I'm looking at tech, I won't see
- 5:30Speaker 4: like what tech been. Like the other day I found
- 5:32Speaker 4: out that a business the ticket symbol was alby L.
- 5:37Speaker 4: I was like, oh, this is the people who make
- 5:38Speaker 4: light sauce. Like I didn't know who made it. But
- 5:40Speaker 4: as I'm reading the papers, I saw that light SAF
- 5:43Speaker 4: sales had increased by seventy percent. The first thing I
- 5:45Speaker 4: want to know is who make that right? Who make that?
- 5:49Speaker 4: Who make light SAF right? And I'm a find out
- 5:51Speaker 4: if it's public as private right? So I think that's
- 5:53Speaker 4: the easy part in finding businesses. And then what happens
- 5:56Speaker 4: is when you're looking at one business, it's always going
- 5:59Speaker 4: to shoot you to another business. It's always going to
- 6:02Speaker 4: shoot you to its competitor.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Like, so that's for me, I.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Always do that what this business is doing, I want
- 6:07Speaker 4: compare it to something. So now I'm gonna look up
- 6:10Speaker 4: such and such peers. So I know the competitor light Soil,
- 6:12Speaker 4: It's Clorox.
- 6:14Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. So I'm that's easy.
- 6:16Speaker 4: That's like, it's it's not hard because sixty percent of
- 6:19Speaker 4: the business is in America on a stock monet.
- 6:21Speaker 7: So now that part of your fundamentals is that's the
- 6:24Speaker 7: first step, right, looking for peers. What else are we
- 6:26Speaker 7: doing to make sure that this is a good company?
- 6:27Speaker 7: Are we looking at?
- 6:29Speaker 6: Uh?
- 6:29Speaker 7: I know one of the things you love is note that,
- 6:31Speaker 7: but what are some other things that we looking at?
- 6:32Speaker 7: When we're trying to figure out yep, this is a
- 6:34Speaker 7: good company.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Motes, Oh, motes. Can I tell you when you said
- 6:38Speaker 6: that last time? I always heard when you talk.
- 6:39Speaker 7: About most of that, Well, I mean we're big Game
- 6:41Speaker 7: of Thrones fans, so when we talk it makes me
- 6:43Speaker 7: think of like when they was at Castle Black and
- 6:45Speaker 7: it was like, yo, they can't get into the castle
- 6:46Speaker 7: because the war is always around. Yeah, And so like
- 6:49Speaker 7: I'm like, oh, that's how we think about motes. When
- 6:51Speaker 7: you say it's exactly what can you? Can you talk
- 6:52Speaker 7: about most?
- 6:53Speaker 4: So a mote is what protects a company from its competitors, right,
- 6:57Speaker 4: and so there there's different kinds of most And that's
- 7:00Speaker 4: that's another thing for me too. When I'm looking at
- 7:01Speaker 4: a business. I actually told a guy there's at Dykeman today.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I was He explained to me about a business he
- 7:07Speaker 4: was looking at and he was like, they got a
- 7:08Speaker 4: mote and I was like, so what is the moat?
- 7:10Speaker 5: And he was like, well, they're the only person doing
- 7:12Speaker 5: this and they feel.
- 7:13Speaker 4: And I said, ask yourself this question, are they the
- 7:16Speaker 4: only business that's doing it because they have an advantage
- 7:19Speaker 4: like they can they have a patent on it, or
- 7:23Speaker 4: management find a way to what they it will cost
- 7:27Speaker 4: another business too much money to try to replicate that,
- 7:30Speaker 4: or just can are they just the first ones to
- 7:32Speaker 4: do it and then anybody else can come back and
- 7:34Speaker 4: do it.
- 7:34Speaker 5: If that's the case, it's not a moat. You know
- 7:36Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 7:36Speaker 4: If I can speed rap, and then if Rishard, if
- 7:40Speaker 4: Troy studied me for three weeks and then he learned
- 7:42Speaker 4: how to speed rap, then he can he can challenge me.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Now you feel what I'm saying. But if I can
- 7:47Speaker 4: speed rap in a way that he can't get it,
- 7:50Speaker 4: I now have set myself apart. Right, So a mote,
- 7:54Speaker 4: there's different motes that businesses can have. What is a
- 7:57Speaker 4: mo So a mote is what protects a business from
- 7:59Speaker 4: his competitors. Right, It's some type of product or service
- 8:03Speaker 4: that this business has that their competitors cannot do. And
- 8:08Speaker 4: they cannot do it for multiple reasons. One, it'll cost
- 8:11Speaker 4: them too much money to do it. Right, So if
- 8:14Speaker 4: it's gonna cost you too much money to replicate this.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Chipotle chapote, you know what I mean.
- 8:20Speaker 4: So they have this amazing mode where they build relationships
- 8:28Speaker 4: anywhere that they build a store at, they find local
- 8:31Speaker 4: farmers within one hundred mile radius, and they partner with
- 8:36Speaker 4: them in anything that the farmers need, very willing to
- 8:41Speaker 4: help them for two reasons, one to make sure the
- 8:45Speaker 4: crops are great, and two to solidify themselves as the plug.
- 8:50Speaker 4: So you grow fresh crops, I'm a bond from you.
- 8:53Speaker 5: But here here's what you need, and if you need
- 8:55Speaker 5: help with any of this, I'm gonna help you.
- 8:58Speaker 6: Right.
- 8:59Speaker 4: So, now with that does is it allows them now
- 9:02Speaker 4: for their competitors to come beat them.
- 9:04Speaker 5: You gotta double my price.
- 9:07Speaker 4: So now now it's going to cut into your profit,
- 9:11Speaker 4: which now gets into low operational costs. The cost that
- 9:14Speaker 4: it cost is the business to operate. You feel what
- 9:16Speaker 4: I'm saying. So because your pote, they have done that.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Now the second mold to that is every day they
- 9:23Speaker 4: give you fresh ingredients because they've partnered with all the
- 9:28Speaker 4: local farmers around that business. Right, so every day now
- 9:31Speaker 4: that they've guaranteed to give you fresh vegetables that is
- 9:36Speaker 4: extremely hard to replicate. It's gonna cost you too much
- 9:40Speaker 4: money to replicate this, so at this point it's not
- 9:43Speaker 4: even worth it.
- 9:44Speaker 6: So from what I'm hearing, it's like, yo, if I
- 9:46Speaker 6: wanted to make the burrito.
- 9:48Speaker 7: Right, if I don't have that mode, it's gonna cost
- 9:50Speaker 7: me like sixteen dollars. It's gonna cost you pole like
- 9:52Speaker 7: seven dollars something like that. Yeah, So in that sense,
- 9:55Speaker 7: and then pricing is a type of remote. It's called
- 9:57Speaker 7: a pricing mode, all right, So there's orether more types.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Of There's another mode that I really love is called
- 10:04Speaker 4: a switching mode. So a switching mode is so how hot?
- 10:12Speaker 4: So example, let's think about this business called let's just
- 10:16Speaker 4: think about Apple.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Let's just keep it simple. So most people who.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Have iPhone, they also have MacBook pros, or they'll have
- 10:25Speaker 4: an Apple Watch, or they're in that Apple ecosystem. Right,
- 10:31Speaker 4: the chances of me switching from Apple to Android or
- 10:35Speaker 4: any other type of phone, it's slimming none. Because now
- 10:40Speaker 4: I gotta switch all my information off the Apple cloud
- 10:43Speaker 4: to somebody else's cloud.
- 10:46Speaker 5: That's a switching mote.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Or in business, a lot of businesses will do this.
- 10:51Speaker 4: So let's say cybersecurity. Right, So let's say a business
- 10:56Speaker 4: has all of their I'm using this cyber secure their
- 11:00Speaker 4: business to protect all of my brands. It's extremely hard
- 11:04Speaker 4: for me to switch from this cyber security company to
- 11:07Speaker 4: another cyber security company. Because all of my information is
- 11:10Speaker 4: stored here, it becomes now it becomes a hassle, whereas
- 11:15Speaker 4: I can just work that's worked this out to see
- 11:17Speaker 4: what the problem is and fix it. So switching modes
- 11:20Speaker 4: are extremely great because nobody likes to switch.
- 11:24Speaker 5: People love conveniences. Businesses are the same way.
- 11:28Speaker 4: I don't have to go through all Now I gotta
- 11:29Speaker 4: shut business down, I gotta lose money, or I gotta
- 11:33Speaker 4: be I gotta open my business now becomes vulnerable to
- 11:37Speaker 4: something like cybersecurity is serious, which is why I love cybersecurity.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Right.
- 11:41Speaker 5: So any brand that it becomes a hassle for another brand,
- 11:44Speaker 5: for the business, for its customers or service to leave
- 11:47Speaker 5: that brand to go to another brand, that's a switching motive.
- 11:49Speaker 3: So let me ask you this as far as like
- 11:52Speaker 3: another thing that we haven't spoken about before. You're real
- 11:55Speaker 3: big on like people hear like growth stocks, right, but
- 12:00Speaker 3: what does that mean? Like what is a growth stock?
- 12:02Speaker 3: Because for an average person, they're thinking like, I'm only
- 12:05Speaker 3: buying the stock, So you brok that like I'm not
- 12:11Speaker 3: buying a non growth stock or a dead stagnant stock.
- 12:16Speaker 2: So what's a growth stock?
- 12:18Speaker 6: All right?
- 12:18Speaker 5: So this is this is dope.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Like, so a while back, what I did was I
- 12:22Speaker 4: had broke down stocks the way I break them down.
- 12:25Speaker 4: So I put stocks in three different situations, right is
- 12:30Speaker 4: young bucks, og, gangsters, and ogs. Right, so it's three
- 12:37Speaker 4: different categories. So young bucks I use in comparison, I
- 12:42Speaker 4: use somebody like little baby, Right, so somebody who he
- 12:46Speaker 4: has a huge upside, the potential. He just started his career, right,
- 12:50Speaker 4: so his upside is extremely good, right, but what comes
- 12:55Speaker 4: with that because he's young, he's still liable to get
- 12:58Speaker 4: make some mistakes along the way that he jeopardized his career, right,
- 13:02Speaker 4: but the.
- 13:02Speaker 6: Upside is amazing, Like you see it. You see he's
- 13:07Speaker 6: a star. Right.
- 13:08Speaker 4: That's a growth stock. Right, That's somebody with a lot
- 13:12Speaker 4: of potential. And what happens is growth stocks tend to
- 13:15Speaker 4: outperform the market for numerous amount of years. But the
- 13:20Speaker 4: thing about them is they are extremely volatile because the
- 13:24Speaker 4: company will make mistakes and a lot of times they
- 13:28Speaker 4: aren't necessarily profitable in the beginning. Right, So now what
- 13:33Speaker 4: happens is the company you got to ask yourself risk
- 13:38Speaker 4: tolerance comes into play, Like can I deal with the
- 13:42Speaker 4: downsides of this relationship with this stock, right, and so
- 13:47Speaker 4: then we have your gangsters, right, So your gainsters is
- 13:51Speaker 4: somebody who probably who've been around.
- 13:53Speaker 6: For a minute.
- 13:53Speaker 4: They're a little more mature, right, but they'll still they'll
- 13:57Speaker 4: still You'll see that in the news if something pop up,
- 14:01Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, Like something.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Can happen, right, And then you have your ogs, And
- 14:06Speaker 5: that's like.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Your Johnson and Johnson's. They've been around for you know,
- 14:10Speaker 4: they consistent. Then going nowhere they hear.
- 14:12Speaker 5: So like somebody like Netflix will kind of be like
- 14:14Speaker 5: a gangster.
- 14:15Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying.
- 14:16Speaker 4: They still kind of volatile, but you still see the upside.
- 14:19Speaker 4: They still have growth in them. But any given day
- 14:22Speaker 4: you can get up and they down two percent, three percent,
- 14:25Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, whereas a growth stop, you
- 14:26Speaker 4: get up to date, it's up, tomorrow's down ten percent.
- 14:29Speaker 4: You're like, god, damn, you know what I'm saying. What
- 14:31Speaker 4: happened right here? Oh yeah, you know they shot a
- 14:33Speaker 4: club bro.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Like you know right here on TMZ right now?
- 14:39Speaker 6: So what so that's a grossot. What about a value stock?
- 14:42Speaker 4: So a value stock will a lot of fall under
- 14:44Speaker 4: like your og stocks. Right, Somebody like Calipillar, somebody like.
- 14:48Speaker 6: Johnson and Johnson Walls.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Yeah it's og so, but it has a ton of value, right,
- 14:54Speaker 4: the value is there. But also value stocks tend to
- 14:57Speaker 4: not have growth and they're trading Let then with the
- 15:00Speaker 4: market say if they should be trading at you know
- 15:03Speaker 4: what I'm saying, So.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Then it would be an undervalue stock. But value stocks
- 15:05Speaker 5: are stocks.
- 15:06Speaker 4: That have consistently performed well provided value to the marketplace,
- 15:10Speaker 4: and we just know what they're about. You know what
- 15:12Speaker 4: I'm saying, And so it make it easy so people
- 15:14Speaker 4: don't get lost in the sauce and confuse them. Think
- 15:17Speaker 4: about your ogs, like think about stocks that have been
- 15:19Speaker 4: around since you was a kid, so so like so
- 15:23Speaker 4: like a growth stock is something that has tremendous upside,
- 15:26Speaker 4: but it's also extremely violatile.
- 15:28Speaker 3: It can be like a young rapper that's just getting
- 15:30Speaker 3: money for the first time.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Yeah, he's gonna he gonna mess.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Up something, and then what's the second one? The gangster
- 15:35Speaker 3: gangsters that's just like you've been around long enough where
- 15:39Speaker 3: you know the ropes, but you still like you still
- 15:42Speaker 3: can make a mistake. Like a French Montana French is
- 15:47Speaker 3: safe man, I would say, gz.
- 15:49Speaker 4: I was, I was, so you get so now you
- 15:53Speaker 4: got to ask yourself, like, so jez what you could
- 15:56Speaker 4: consider Jesus? So he would be like in the middle
- 15:58Speaker 4: of you know, and I really get into this because
- 16:01Speaker 4: like you said, yeah, but like so for me, like
- 16:06Speaker 4: I would look at somebody like when I made the post,
- 16:08Speaker 4: That's what it was like, somebody like Fab or jez
- 16:11Speaker 4: For me, that's like yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 3: And then so jay Z is he not even get
- 16:16Speaker 3: a parking ticket? And at this point, like you.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Know, his career, like like the fat Joel a Jezn
- 16:23Speaker 4: that's your ogs, like they solid, they strong. You know,
- 16:26Speaker 4: if they dropped something, you're gonna cop that on the
- 16:28Speaker 4: strength because like you you remember, it's gonna take you back,
- 16:31Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. And so the gangsters would
- 16:34Speaker 4: be like your gz fab you know what I'm saying,
- 16:37Speaker 4: your kiss.
- 16:40Speaker 7: So we got ogs, we got gangs, and got young
- 16:44Speaker 7: where you putting Tesla in that, oh man?
- 16:47Speaker 4: So for me, honestly, it's a young buck because even
- 16:50Speaker 4: though they've been around, they now become.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Established and they're extremely volatile, right and they.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Like Eli running the like sugar night man, do what
- 16:59Speaker 4: I want, I say what I want man, I don't
- 17:01Speaker 4: care if you don't like it or not. I don't
- 17:02Speaker 4: even care the shell holds like what I say or not. Look,
- 17:04Speaker 4: this is what we're doing. The probably the stock too high.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Next day that my stock go down, you make up
- 17:08Speaker 4: like yo, I was up eight percent, I woke up
- 17:12Speaker 4: two hundred. You know what I'm saying. So Tesla is
- 17:13Speaker 4: definitely a young buck, you know what I'm saying. But
- 17:15Speaker 4: it's one of those young bucks like little baby, Like
- 17:18Speaker 4: every time I drop, it's a banger, you know what
- 17:21Speaker 4: I'm saying.
- 17:24Speaker 2: What about what about? All right?
- 17:26Speaker 3: So, like what's an example of like a good growth
- 17:28Speaker 3: stock out there right now?
- 17:29Speaker 2: In your opinion?
- 17:33Speaker 6: Tesla was one where we talked about that already.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Right, I'm gonna be real, like beyond me, beyond me,
- 17:40Speaker 3: like beyond me, Like why do you like beyond me?
- 17:42Speaker 5: So?
- 17:42Speaker 4: Because you so one of the things it's good to
- 17:44Speaker 4: look at is actually.
- 17:48Speaker 6: Where where where the world is heading? Right?
- 17:51Speaker 4: So we and even though beyond me isn't a healthy move, Like,
- 17:56Speaker 4: let's just be real, a lot of people don't care
- 17:58Speaker 4: about their hell, bro when.
- 18:00Speaker 3: You say it's not healthy because it's process.
- 18:04Speaker 4: But for somebody who is saying yeah, will be like, nah,
- 18:08Speaker 4: I'm not doing that, you know what I'm saying. But
- 18:10Speaker 4: somebody who like, Yo, I'm trying to eat better. I
- 18:12Speaker 4: don't won't eat meat no more. The first thing they're
- 18:15Speaker 4: gonna do beyond meat, you know what I'm saying. And
- 18:18Speaker 4: then when you look at market share, like it's in
- 18:23Speaker 4: the fast full industry, it's partnering with fast foods, it's
- 18:26Speaker 4: partnering with your trader Joel's, it's partnering with you know, overseas, it's.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Partnering with your dunkin Donuts, you know what I'm saying.
- 18:34Speaker 4: So like he moving like he out there, he is,
- 18:37Speaker 4: like it's like mixtape wheezy.
- 18:40Speaker 5: Like I mean, I'm everywhere you go.
- 18:42Speaker 4: I'm there, I'm dropping a mixtape here, I'm dripping a
- 18:45Speaker 4: mixtape there.
- 18:46Speaker 6: I like that, you know what I mean. It's mixtape wheezy.
- 18:49Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, Like I'm putting on my back,
- 18:51Speaker 4: I'm gonna lead the way, you know what I'm saying.
- 18:53Speaker 5: And so you know, other people gonna come, but I'm
- 18:56Speaker 5: out here.
- 18:57Speaker 4: But at the same time, the minutes somebody like McDonald's said,
- 19:01Speaker 4: I was just I was I was going a minute.
- 19:03Speaker 5: Somebody like mcdonald' say no, I ain't, ain't.
- 19:05Speaker 6: I'm not bumping that over here. We don't. We don't.
- 19:07Speaker 7: And that's crazy that you said, because in my mom
- 19:09Speaker 7: I'm thinking, like, I'm happy you said beyond me because
- 19:12Speaker 7: I was invested in beyond me. But when you hear
- 19:13Speaker 7: somebody like McDonald's obviously a big real estate play. Obviously
- 19:17Speaker 7: McDonald's when they said, we don't need the middle man,
- 19:19Speaker 7: we're not partnering with like an impossible like Burger King did,
- 19:22Speaker 7: what do you think it does to the business of
- 19:24Speaker 7: beyond me?
- 19:24Speaker 4: So what I love about them was this again your
- 19:28Speaker 4: mix take Wheezy. Right, it's a good song, but I'm
- 19:32Speaker 4: better on the hook. I'm better in it. So when
- 19:35Speaker 4: McDonald said that, what they said, hold up, don't forget
- 19:38Speaker 4: who you came to for that verse. Don't forget who
- 19:42Speaker 4: you came to. And so McDonald said, Okay, you're right.
- 19:46Speaker 4: We did partner with them and making the mech veggie
- 19:51Speaker 4: or whatever, the mechplant like we did. We did go
- 19:54Speaker 4: to beyond me and get the formula, you know what
- 19:57Speaker 4: I'm saying. So again I'm leading industry like this me.
- 20:01Speaker 4: So that to me, that's a great growth stock. I'm
- 20:06Speaker 4: not telling people to buy it because I got it
- 20:08Speaker 4: at like sixty six dollars.
- 20:10Speaker 2: It's just an example.
- 20:11Speaker 4: It's just an example of the nature of a growth
- 20:14Speaker 4: Like you can get up any given day and beyond
- 20:15Speaker 4: me to be down ten percent, you're not. But you
- 20:18Speaker 4: can also get up any given day and it run
- 20:20Speaker 4: for three weeks straight.
- 20:22Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Like, so that's the that's the example of that's a
- 20:28Speaker 4: young buk, that's a growth stop.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Let me ask you this for for common people that
- 20:31Speaker 3: might be, you know, struggling just to just to have
- 20:35Speaker 3: enough money to pay bills, right, what would be your
- 20:38Speaker 3: suggestion to kind of what's a good starter way for
- 20:41Speaker 3: them to actually start investing? Like what's your opinion? Because
- 20:46Speaker 3: I know, like you know what I'm saying, a lot
- 20:47Speaker 3: of times people might that might be a hurdle for
- 20:49Speaker 3: them to be like, well, I don't really have enough
- 20:52Speaker 3: discretionary income to put money into the stock market.
- 20:55Speaker 2: What's your what's your what's your thoughts for them?
- 20:57Speaker 4: So let me make sure I understand what you're saying,
- 21:00Speaker 4: Like you're saying they don't have enough money to invest
- 21:02Speaker 4: a hot should they start.
- 21:04Speaker 5: I'm gonna make sure I can answer it.
- 21:06Speaker 3: No, Like as far as like they if they're struggling
- 21:08Speaker 3: to invest, like what's some like what would be like?
- 21:11Speaker 3: Because for me, I'm looking at like even like an HSA,
- 21:14Speaker 3: right where people a lot of times might not be
- 21:17Speaker 3: familiar with that, Like that's the way to actually start
- 21:19Speaker 3: investing via your health insurance. It's like a backdoor investment way.
- 21:22Speaker 3: People don't know what HSA is. It's a health savings
- 21:25Speaker 3: account and break that down. Yeah, so like the health
- 21:28Speaker 3: savings account is so like you have like a high
- 21:29Speaker 3: deductible health plan, right, which is like very propulable, you know,
- 21:33Speaker 3: like I have a high deductible health plan, and it's
- 21:34Speaker 3: like usually when you don't go to the doctor a lot,
- 21:38Speaker 3: your premium, Like why would you pay for the regular
- 21:41Speaker 3: health plan like an HMO or PPO when you can
- 21:44Speaker 3: get a high deductible health plan. But the thing with
- 21:46Speaker 3: the high deductible health plan is that it's a higher
- 21:48Speaker 3: deductible Okay, right, So it's like let's say you got
- 21:51Speaker 3: the PPO, the premium might be like let's say four
- 21:55Speaker 3: hundred dollars a month, but with the high deductible plan,
- 21:59Speaker 3: it's two hundred dollars, but your deductible is a lot higher.
- 22:04Speaker 3: You deductible might be two times higher in the PPO.
- 22:07Speaker 3: So if you go too many times, you get caught
- 22:10Speaker 3: out there and you got to pay more money out
- 22:12Speaker 3: of pocket.
- 22:13Speaker 2: So it's a calculated risk.
- 22:15Speaker 3: But a lot of young The reason why I mentioned
- 22:17Speaker 3: is that a lot of young people and a lot
- 22:19Speaker 3: of people with every dollar's count they might either they
- 22:21Speaker 3: don't go to the doctor that much or they're just
- 22:23Speaker 3: making financial decisions where it's like, you know what, I
- 22:26Speaker 3: really can't afford the PPO, so I'm gonna do the
- 22:29Speaker 3: high deductible or whatever. So one of the good things
- 22:32Speaker 3: with the high deductible plan is that allows you with
- 22:34Speaker 3: the health savings account. So with the health savings account,
- 22:38Speaker 3: it's pretty much like a savings that you're putting money
- 22:41Speaker 3: into to pay for that deductible or any out of
- 22:45Speaker 3: pocket expenses that you may have. Right, But the good
- 22:47Speaker 3: thing is that the money comes up out of your
- 22:49Speaker 3: paycheck before you actually get paid. It's like the four
- 22:52Speaker 3: one K Okay, you know what I'm saying, So it
- 22:54Speaker 3: actually lowers your taxable income because it's the thing with
- 22:57Speaker 3: the four one K is that when you put money
- 23:00Speaker 3: into a four on one case's called pre tax dollars,
- 23:02Speaker 3: you know that. So it's like if you're making one
- 23:04Speaker 3: hundred thousand and you put ten thousand in, now you're
- 23:05Speaker 3: taxed on ninety thousand because it lowers your taxable income
- 23:08Speaker 3: by ten thousand dollars. So now with the HSA, like
- 23:11Speaker 3: the most you can put in is thirty five hundred
- 23:13Speaker 3: thirty five fifty for a single person in seventy one
- 23:16Speaker 3: hundred for a family. So let's say you put three
- 23:18Speaker 3: thousand dollars into the HSA. So now that you're making
- 23:21Speaker 3: you know, sixty thousand dollars. Now it lowers your taxable income,
- 23:25Speaker 3: so you're not paying any taxes on it.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:27Speaker 3: But the cool thing about it is that it can
- 23:29Speaker 3: actually be invested, like how four one K is, So
- 23:32Speaker 3: you can put it in like different type of like investments,
- 23:34Speaker 3: stock market investments, mutual fund stuff like that, and now
- 23:38Speaker 3: the money grows. So now let's say you put like
- 23:40Speaker 3: three thousand dollars in for one year, right, but you
- 23:42Speaker 3: got to go to the eye doctor and you got
- 23:43Speaker 3: to get glasses or whatever any type of medical expense
- 23:46Speaker 3: instead of not having money to pay for it you've
- 23:49Speaker 3: been saving and you just use your HSA and they
- 23:51Speaker 3: give you like a debit card and all that. But
- 23:54Speaker 3: if you don't go to the doctor, because it's a
- 23:55Speaker 3: calculated risk, right, that's the whole point of having a
- 23:58Speaker 3: high deductible plan.
- 23:58Speaker 2: You're not going to the doctor.
- 24:00Speaker 3: So if you don't go to the doctor, what happens
- 24:01Speaker 3: is that that money rolls.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Over and to the next year.
- 24:05Speaker 3: So now next year you start with three thousand, right,
- 24:08Speaker 3: So what happens is that the money grows. And it's
- 24:10Speaker 3: kind of similar to an IRA because at the age
- 24:13Speaker 3: sixty five, you can actually take that money out without
- 24:16Speaker 3: paying a penalty. You take it out before you get
- 24:18Speaker 3: a penalty. Now sixty five, you can take the money out.
- 24:21Speaker 3: You just pay state and federal tax. You don't pay
- 24:24Speaker 3: a ten percent penalty or twenty percent penalty for taking
- 24:26Speaker 3: the money out early. So that's kind of like a
- 24:29Speaker 3: backdoor way. Like for me in my opinion, where it's like,
- 24:32Speaker 3: I gotta save money for my health insurance. So if
- 24:35Speaker 3: my budget was let's say four hundred dollars a month,
- 24:38Speaker 3: I'd rather do the high deductible plan, put two hundred
- 24:41Speaker 3: towards the premium two hundred towards the HSA. If I
- 24:44Speaker 3: got to use it for the I'm gonna use it anyway.
- 24:47Speaker 3: But if not, now that's going to be like an investment.
- 24:50Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. A couple thousand dollars over
- 24:52Speaker 3: the course of time adds up. You might have it
- 24:54Speaker 3: some one hundred thousand dollars in thirty years.
- 24:56Speaker 7: I'm from the world where it was like, yo, if
- 24:57Speaker 7: you didn't use your benefits this year, yeah, they don't
- 25:00Speaker 7: roll over the next It's like, yeah, you better use
- 25:02Speaker 7: it by the eleventh of November.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Well, the thing about it is, it's so many different
- 25:06Speaker 3: things as far as like even with the four one K,
- 25:09Speaker 3: people don't know that you got a raw four one
- 25:11Speaker 3: k options you might have that, like and it's like
- 25:13Speaker 3: you don't even know a lot of times what's offered
- 25:15Speaker 3: at your job, right, And this is why education is
- 25:17Speaker 3: so important, Like you know what I'm saying. It's like
- 25:19Speaker 3: little stuff like that might change the direction of.
- 25:22Speaker 6: Your thousand, one thousand decent berro Like know what I'm saying.
- 25:25Speaker 7: You get that email like in this world, in this world, yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 7: you're not familiar with this.
- 25:29Speaker 6: It's been a while, right, So.
- 25:30Speaker 7: In this one like they give you an email like, Yo,
- 25:32Speaker 7: this financial advisor is coming on December fifteenth if you
- 25:34Speaker 7: want a schedule appointment, And it'd be something like the
- 25:37Speaker 7: dude with ballheaded with glasses and he talking to you
- 25:40Speaker 7: and you're like, Yo, what is he talking about?
- 25:41Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying. But like this type of information,
- 25:43Speaker 6: it's like yo, people just knew it.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Yeah, man, but so yeah, so like for you, like
- 25:49Speaker 3: I want you to really hammer the home, like even
- 25:51Speaker 3: you could save even one hundred dollars right, like fifty
- 25:54Speaker 3: dollars a month, gotcha?
- 25:55Speaker 5: Yeah, So let me say this first.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Man, I say this on Chapping Tuesday all the time,
- 25:59Speaker 4: and I don't people be thinking I'd be dead serious.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Jo Listen, I'm not a fiduciary or financial advisor.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Know that everything I say is for entertainment purposes.
- 26:11Speaker 6: On you can take them.
- 26:12Speaker 4: If you can't mitigate the risk, you must seek out
- 26:15Speaker 4: financial advisory. I'm not one, but I know one by
- 26:19Speaker 4: the name of Rashad. He can take you to glory.
- 26:24Speaker 4: I can just take you to the Listen. This dude
- 26:28Speaker 4: is so smart they sleep on. I say that every Tuesday, man,
- 26:32Speaker 4: and people be laughing. But this dude is brilliant.
- 26:35Speaker 6: Man.
- 26:36Speaker 5: You he just broke that dumb he had me like.
- 26:38Speaker 6: I just got blue cross ship.
- 26:43Speaker 4: I'm happy I got call this guy.
- 26:48Speaker 5: He come with I got an idea. But that's that's
- 26:53Speaker 5: that's real talk, man.
- 26:54Speaker 4: So one of the things I like to do is
- 26:55Speaker 4: tell people to say, try to save ten percent whatever
- 26:58Speaker 4: they make, write whatever you mean it. If you get
- 27:00Speaker 4: one hundred dollars a week, save ten percent. If you
- 27:02Speaker 4: get one hundred dollars every two weeks, save ten percent.
- 27:05Speaker 4: And so the easiest way to get in the market,
- 27:08Speaker 4: because we understand that the stock market does for you
- 27:12Speaker 4: way more than putting your money in a bank to
- 27:14Speaker 4: do for you. Right, we already understand. We all have
- 27:17Speaker 4: beat that drum forever, right, And so one of the
- 27:20Speaker 4: things you can do is get into index funds or ETFs, right.
- 27:24Speaker 4: And the reason being is because so let's say you
- 27:26Speaker 4: not you're not comfortable enough to say, let me buy
- 27:30Speaker 4: a Tesla. I don't have enough to buy a Tesla
- 27:33Speaker 4: right now. I ain't my risk tolerance it's not there
- 27:37Speaker 4: yet to see beyond meat go down five ten percent
- 27:41Speaker 4: and still be there.
- 27:42Speaker 5: Right.
- 27:43Speaker 4: And most people don't even understand, you know, and it's
- 27:45Speaker 4: not because they don't know it.
- 27:46Speaker 5: Because these haven't been exposed to yet. They don't know that.
- 27:49Speaker 4: If the stock you bought it at thirty dollars and
- 27:51Speaker 4: it goes down to twenty eight, most people in the mine,
- 27:54Speaker 4: I lost some money.
- 27:55Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying. That's not the case.
- 27:57Speaker 4: So one of the best things I would say for
- 27:59Speaker 4: people to do is buy index funds like ETS when
- 28:02Speaker 4: you first got in the game. Ets for me ets
- 28:05Speaker 4: better than index funds, you know what I'm saying. And
- 28:07Speaker 4: it's simply because now you can get exposure to a
- 28:10Speaker 4: specific industry. Right and I know an episode for the
- 28:13Speaker 4: Full the Classic, we broke.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Something down, but in the reup, we're gonna reentery it.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Right. So it's an ETF is simple where let's say
- 28:22Speaker 4: I wanted to buy some marijuana stocks, right, but I
- 28:25Speaker 4: know that's kind of a volatile industry. It's full of
- 28:28Speaker 4: young bucks. You know what I'm saying, It's full of
- 28:30Speaker 4: young bucks. So what happens is you can buy the
- 28:32Speaker 4: marijuana ETF. And now depending on which one you buy,
- 28:35Speaker 4: whether it's Yolo, whether it's MJ, you know what I'm saying.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Now you have fifteen twenty marijuana stocks at one time, right,
- 28:43Speaker 4: and now if one or two of them down, or
- 28:45Speaker 4: three of them down, the whole industry, that whole ETF
- 28:48Speaker 4: might go down fifty cent, right.
- 28:51Speaker 5: Whereas if you in that one stock that.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Went down any give them money, you wake up and
- 28:54Speaker 4: you down eight dollars, you know what I'm saying.
- 28:57Speaker 5: So, and also with indexed funds ETFs.
- 29:01Speaker 4: I'm not a fan of dollar cost averaging because that
- 29:05Speaker 4: allows me to buy stocks over priced over time. But
- 29:08Speaker 4: with index funds and ETFs that are fifty dollars sixty dollars,
- 29:12Speaker 4: you can buy into those every time.
- 29:14Speaker 3: And dollar cost averaging for anybody is when you put
- 29:17Speaker 3: money in every single month, for every single it's a
- 29:19Speaker 3: period of time, every week or whatever.
- 29:20Speaker 6: Yeah it.
- 29:22Speaker 5: So you buy an apple, you will buy no matter
- 29:24Speaker 5: what the price is.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Every first of the month.
- 29:26Speaker 5: You buying apple.
- 29:27Speaker 4: No matter what the price is, you buying it though,
- 29:29Speaker 4: just to stay in right. And so for me, I'm
- 29:32Speaker 4: not a dollar cost averaging person. I'm an averaging down
- 29:36Speaker 4: type of person, right, And averaging down is saying I
- 29:39Speaker 4: found it, I bought it.
- 29:40Speaker 5: At fifteen dollars. I don't care if it run all
- 29:42Speaker 5: the way up.
- 29:43Speaker 6: Right.
- 29:43Speaker 4: Now, what I do is I'm every half a year,
- 29:47Speaker 4: every two quarters, I reevaluate every stock I'm invested in,
- 29:50Speaker 4: right to understand what.
- 29:51Speaker 6: A value is at.
- 29:53Speaker 4: So now if the stock price dips, I'm not buying it,
- 29:57Speaker 4: but it dips at a below value price I can
- 29:59Speaker 4: buy right. So example, I bought Amazon in twenty eighteen
- 30:03Speaker 4: at nineteen hundred dollars.
- 30:06Speaker 6: I bought it in October.
- 30:09Speaker 5: November December eighteen.
- 30:11Speaker 4: The market went into a correction, you know what I'm saying,
- 30:14Speaker 4: and it went from nineteen to seventeen, nineteen hundred to
- 30:18Speaker 4: seventeen hundred. I bought it at seventeen hundred. Now what
- 30:21Speaker 4: that does is that brings my nineteen hundred dollars buying
- 30:24Speaker 4: price down to about eighteen twenty five.
- 30:28Speaker 5: Right, So now, don't got a way to get to
- 30:30Speaker 5: nineteen to see profit.
- 30:31Speaker 4: I can start seeing profit again at eighteen seventy five, right,
- 30:35Speaker 4: And so then it went from eighteen to sixteen.
- 30:38Speaker 5: I bought two moshas at sixteen.
- 30:40Speaker 4: So now instead of me seeing profit at eighteen seventy five,
- 30:44Speaker 4: I can probably see profit now at like seventeen eighty
- 30:47Speaker 4: or something like that. Right, And then it went down
- 30:50Speaker 4: from seventeen. I mean from seventeen to fifteen, I missed
- 30:54Speaker 4: it and I got it again at thirteen. So now
- 30:57Speaker 4: instead of me seeing profit at nineteen, I now got
- 31:00Speaker 4: profits at sixteen hundred. When I bought at thirteen forty three,
- 31:04Speaker 4: it brought my cost basis all the way down to
- 31:06Speaker 4: like sixteen seventy five. You feel what I'm saying. So
- 31:09Speaker 4: I'm with buying a discount over a period of time.
- 31:12Speaker 5: I'm okay with that.
- 31:13Speaker 4: And I told Smalls that I was like, yo, I
- 31:16Speaker 4: don't like green markets.
- 31:17Speaker 6: I like blood. I like blood.
- 31:21Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, because that means I can
- 31:23Speaker 4: get stuff at a discount. But back to what we
- 31:25Speaker 4: were saying, So with individual stocks, I'm a dollar cost average,
- 31:30Speaker 4: But with index funds and ETFs, it's a great way for.
- 31:34Speaker 6: You to.

- 33:27Speaker 8: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 33:30Speaker 8: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from El Salvador
- 33:34Speaker 8: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 33:39Speaker 8: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 33:43Speaker 8: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 33:46Speaker 8: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Nohm, the United States
- 33:50Speaker 8: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 33:55Speaker 8: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 33:58Speaker 8: one hundred thousand dollars legal aliens have been arrested. If
- 34:02Speaker 8: you were here illegally, you're next. You will be fine
- 34:05Speaker 8: nearly one thousand dollars a day. Imprisoned and deported, you
- 34:09Speaker 8: will never return. But if you register using our CBP
- 34:13Speaker 8: home app and leave now, you could be allowed to
- 34:16Speaker 8: return legally. Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump,
- 34:21Speaker 8: America's laws border and families.
- 34:24Speaker 6: Will be protected sponsored by the United States Department of
- 34:26Speaker 6: Homeland Security.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Get in with a lower amount every time because there's
- 34:30Speaker 3: not the same requirement that.
- 34:31Speaker 6: You have to put a requirements.
- 34:33Speaker 5: So now I can get in like you can.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Get I think one is the one besides the ETF.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Another in one is the there's like a high dividend
- 34:43Speaker 4: ETF right way, it's like forty two dollars, right, and
- 34:47Speaker 4: you can get in it every month.
- 34:49Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 34:49Speaker 4: You can put you know, you saving ten percent of
- 34:52Speaker 4: your money every week, so that means once a month
- 34:54Speaker 4: you can be able to get this index one and
- 34:56Speaker 4: it's this ETF.
- 34:57Speaker 5: And one of the things you can do is you
- 34:59Speaker 5: can just.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Say great dividend ETFs to invest in, right, and then
- 35:03Speaker 4: the ETF itself is going to They've now done the
- 35:06Speaker 4: homework for you. They've put the best dividend ETFs in
- 35:09Speaker 4: that ETF. I mean the best dividend stocks in that ETF.
- 35:12Speaker 4: So now you don't have.
- 35:13Speaker 5: To let me research this, let me research that.
- 35:15Speaker 4: You just look at the performance, how has it performed
- 35:18Speaker 4: over the last year five years.
- 35:20Speaker 5: And you say, okay, cool.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Every month I'm gonna just put fifty dollars in a here, right,
- 35:23Speaker 4: one hundred dollars in a year, and you can just
- 35:25Speaker 4: keep doing that.
- 35:26Speaker 5: That's a great way.
- 35:27Speaker 7: When we're doing When we're doing that with are we
- 35:29Speaker 7: looking into the expense ratios as well?
- 35:31Speaker 6: Of course?
- 35:31Speaker 4: And it's just for that so in case people don't
- 35:33Speaker 4: know what the expense ratio is, that's just simply how
- 35:36Speaker 4: much you're paying someone to run this, and it's extremely cheap,
- 35:42Speaker 4: Like it's cheap like for me, when I'm looking at
- 35:44Speaker 4: expense ratios, I want it to be less than one, right,
- 35:47Speaker 4: So it's less than one, so I'm paying them less
- 35:50Speaker 4: than one percent. And so with these ETFs, a lot
- 35:52Speaker 4: of times you can get them at zero point seventy
- 35:54Speaker 4: five percent, zero point sixty five percent, zero point fifty cent.
- 35:58Speaker 4: That's something like for every thousand dollars that you pay.
- 36:00Speaker 6: Them, five dollars.
- 36:01Speaker 7: You know, I think that's I think that's something like
- 36:03Speaker 7: people don't even realize, right, like you're actually paying that.
- 36:06Speaker 6: Yeah, you know what I'm saying, it's like kind of
- 36:07Speaker 6: a hit and you're.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Not gonna feel it because what's gonna happen is it's
- 36:10Speaker 4: called passive investment. So now what happens is once a year,
- 36:15Speaker 4: whatever your returns off of the year, it will take.
- 36:17Speaker 5: Five dollars out. You're not you're gonna see it, you
- 36:20Speaker 5: know what I'm saying.
- 36:20Speaker 4: So I don't mind if you don't really know too much,
- 36:24Speaker 4: and that gives you time to be in the market.
- 36:26Speaker 4: One of the things I always say is time in
- 36:29Speaker 4: the market is better than time meanings the market.
- 36:33Speaker 6: Right.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Say that? Say that again, Say that.
- 36:35Speaker 9: Like it was a Negro spiritual bron Yeah so.
- 36:48Speaker 6: So so time in the market.
- 36:54Speaker 4: The fact, time in the market is better than time
- 36:57Speaker 4: meaning the market, right, So just that experience, you know
- 37:00Speaker 4: what I'm saying, being in the market every day, putting
- 37:02Speaker 4: your money in those Let's say you buy that ETF
- 37:05Speaker 4: every month, you buying it, right, You in the market, right,
- 37:08Speaker 4: You're letting them do the hard work. You downsize the risk.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Your money is making money for you. So while you're
- 37:15Speaker 4: letting that happen, you can be learning how to research.
- 37:18Speaker 4: You can be learning what it takes, and you can
- 37:20Speaker 4: start with researching the business that inside the ETF. You
- 37:24Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. You can break that down to dimes.
- 37:26Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, you can break that breakdown.
- 37:28Speaker 6: A bunch of dimes already, big trap.
- 37:34Speaker 4: You can break that breakdown of dimes like you can
- 37:36Speaker 4: take that ETF and now go to Yahoo finance. Right, simple,
- 37:41Speaker 4: go to Yahoo Finance. Put the ETF in the search ball.
- 37:44Speaker 4: Now you can go slide over to those hyper links.
- 37:47Speaker 4: You'll see financials, you'll see summary, you'll see performance, and
- 37:51Speaker 4: then you'll see holdings. Right, holdings is the company's inside
- 37:55Speaker 4: of the ETF. Press that holdings. Scroll down because the
- 37:58Speaker 4: first thing is going to tell you is is what
- 38:01Speaker 4: types of businesses are in the ECF.
- 38:03Speaker 6: You'll see basic materials in you know, financials. Whatever.
- 38:06Speaker 4: You go down and it'll show you now the businesses
- 38:10Speaker 4: and the percent of those businesses of the inside the ETL.
- 38:13Speaker 4: And so now what happens is you can look at
- 38:15Speaker 4: those business and start your research there.
- 38:17Speaker 7: Quick question for you though, like so when you see
- 38:19Speaker 7: what's inside the holes, what is the percentage you like?
- 38:22Speaker 6: Right?
- 38:22Speaker 7: So, Like, if I'm looking at like uh an XL
- 38:26Speaker 7: Y or something like that, and I see the allocation
- 38:28Speaker 7: for a company, what.
- 38:29Speaker 6: Number or percentage do you look like? You know? What?
- 38:32Speaker 6: I like that number? Right? Do I want?
- 38:33Speaker 7: I want them to be allocated like five to seven
- 38:36Speaker 7: or is it like eight to ten percent of some
- 38:38Speaker 7: of like these big time so they.
- 38:40Speaker 4: All they all differentiate. I'm not honestly that part. I'm
- 38:44Speaker 4: not tripping on. But I do want to know where
- 38:47Speaker 4: the majority of the money is, right, So let's say it.
- 38:50Speaker 5: We'll just use example, We'll just say.
- 38:52Speaker 4: A ETF XLB whatever that is, right. We're just gonna
- 38:55Speaker 4: through some cause I don't even nobody saying tray to
- 38:57Speaker 4: say it this right. So let's say we're using X, right,
- 39:00Speaker 4: and let's say ten percent their top five holdings is
- 39:05Speaker 4: Earn your Leisure, Wall Street Trapper, you know, in other businesses, right.
- 39:11Speaker 4: And so let's say now we're looking at the holders
- 39:13Speaker 4: and we see, okay, well, ten percent.
- 39:15Speaker 6: Of their money is in Earn your Leisure.
- 39:19Speaker 5: Eight percent of their money is in Wall Street Trapper.
- 39:22Speaker 4: So that means, now, if that was one hundred dollars,
- 39:25Speaker 4: ten dollars of that is in Earn your Leisure, right,
- 39:30Speaker 4: eight dollars of that is in Wall Street Trapper. Right,
- 39:33Speaker 4: So if it's one hundred dollars, you break those percentages
- 39:36Speaker 4: down like that. What I do like to see is
- 39:38Speaker 4: the businesses that they are strong in are solid businesses,
- 39:42Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying.
- 39:43Speaker 5: If they solid.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Now, if you got a company that's bad, then that's
- 39:46Speaker 4: why I like the ETS because if a company is
- 39:50Speaker 4: not performing, they're gonna get them out of there. Like
- 39:53Speaker 4: you know, it's just like you know, against it. Like
- 39:55Speaker 4: if I got a trap booming and I got some
- 39:57Speaker 4: soldiers and you ain't performing, I got trap bringing in this,
- 40:01Speaker 4: shot bringing in this.
- 40:03Speaker 5: You know, shot in shot, but you know shot bringing
- 40:05Speaker 5: in this.
- 40:05Speaker 4: I got them other traps bringing in this, and you
- 40:07Speaker 4: ain't performing, fam.
- 40:08Speaker 6: You gotta go. You out of a job.
- 40:11Speaker 4: You can't run for me no more what I need
- 40:13Speaker 4: you for, you know what I'm saying. So they're gonna
- 40:15Speaker 4: do that. And a lot of them they do it
- 40:16Speaker 4: once a year, or some of them do it every
- 40:18Speaker 4: two years, but they're gonna switch.
- 40:20Speaker 6: Them out and put the next runner in there. I
- 40:22Speaker 6: love that.
- 40:22Speaker 7: That's important too, because like you can actually see it happen, right,
- 40:25Speaker 7: if you check.
- 40:26Speaker 6: From a year to year or every six months sometimes
- 40:28Speaker 6: it depends on.
- 40:28Speaker 7: The ETF, you'll actually see the allocation changed, right, So
- 40:31Speaker 7: you'll see one go from four percent to eight percent.
- 40:33Speaker 7: So it's good to know, Like yo, they see growth
- 40:36Speaker 7: in that company. They're putting more money into the ETF,
- 40:39Speaker 7: it becomes even stronger.
- 40:40Speaker 3: Let me ask you this one thing that we haven't
- 40:42Speaker 3: spoken about on this podcast yet in depth.
- 40:45Speaker 2: It's gold.
- 40:46Speaker 3: And that's something that's been popular this year two twenty twenty.
- 40:49Speaker 3: A lot of things have been ringing off in twenty twenty.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Goal is something that you know, people are just hearing
- 40:54Speaker 3: about and they're like, all right, I need to invest
- 40:56Speaker 3: in Goal is going up. It's you know, what's your
- 41:00Speaker 3: thoughts on investing in gold?
- 41:02Speaker 5: So I actually owned two hours ago?
- 41:04Speaker 4: Physical Yeah, I got him to save the positive because
- 41:08Speaker 4: one of even when invest in buying gold, you have
- 41:11Speaker 4: to be storage is key, Like you're not supposed to.
- 41:15Speaker 5: Have gold just laying around, you know what I'm saying,
- 41:18Speaker 5: Like that can put that on the mattress. I mean
- 41:20Speaker 5: you can. I find that you got some gold enough.
- 41:24Speaker 5: I don't live like that big trap. We're different.
- 41:34Speaker 4: We're different, ga, GA. But you know so, and then
- 41:38Speaker 4: you got a minus. You know if you tell somebody
- 41:40Speaker 4: you got that in there, you know what I'm saying.
- 41:43Speaker 4: So gold is an amazing product, man, It's amazing. Protection
- 41:49Speaker 4: of wealth, right, is what you would call insurance to
- 41:54Speaker 4: your wealth and a hedge against the dollar. So I
- 41:58Speaker 4: actually think that everybody's your own on goal. One of
- 42:01Speaker 4: the greatest things about gold is that brick is broken.
- 42:05Speaker 4: You can literally buy it in a kilo. My goal
- 42:07Speaker 4: is to buy a kilo of goal.
- 42:10Speaker 6: One thousand and one grand.
- 42:13Speaker 4: That's a that's a brick goal to brick baby brick
- 42:18Speaker 4: the aquilo.
- 42:18Speaker 6: So my goal is to actually buy a kilo of gold.
- 42:23Speaker 2: So where'd you buy gold from?
- 42:24Speaker 4: So you can get it in multiple ways? Now we
- 42:26Speaker 4: talking physical goal both, let's talk about a right So
- 42:29Speaker 4: we can get physical goal from a certified dealer, or
- 42:32Speaker 4: we can get get it from you can get online
- 42:35Speaker 4: and check for actual goal exchanges and gold securities meaning.
- 42:44Speaker 6: Like they literally whole goal j M. Bullying is one.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Of them, Like one of the best ones out I
- 42:50Speaker 4: was just going to ask about that bullion. It's one
- 42:52Speaker 4: of the one of the best ones out there. But
- 42:54Speaker 4: even when you buy your goal, what you got to
- 42:56Speaker 4: look for now is so you're never going to get
- 43:00Speaker 4: one hundred percent goal.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Because it's too soft.
- 43:03Speaker 4: Yeah, so now you gotta tap into how much of
- 43:07Speaker 4: the mixture that's in the goal.
- 43:10Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying, So now you know it's
- 43:12Speaker 5: you know, we start looking at that.
- 43:14Speaker 4: But you also got to pay attention when you're buying gold.
- 43:19Speaker 6: It's not easier to sell goal.
- 43:22Speaker 4: Like if you buy it, it's not easy to sell
- 43:24Speaker 4: it back, right because now, so there's this thing called
- 43:29Speaker 4: like the spot price on the goal, right, and that's
- 43:31Speaker 4: what the goal is actually worked. And then you have
- 43:35Speaker 4: what the deal is gonna charge you against the middle man,
- 43:37Speaker 4: Like if I got to go get it and I
- 43:38Speaker 4: got to sell it to you, then I won't mind,
- 43:40Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. So you ain't gonna go
- 43:42Speaker 4: get it yourself, you know what I'm saying. So you
- 43:44Speaker 4: gotta see who's paying who's charging you the less? You
- 43:48Speaker 4: know who taxing you the less, like being on a block,
- 43:50Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, Like for Shah, I got
- 43:52Speaker 4: it for seventeen, I got it for seventeen five, right,
- 43:55Speaker 4: so trap while you charge me for seventeen by well
- 43:57Speaker 4: mine better.
- 43:57Speaker 6: You boys paying to it too long?
- 44:00Speaker 5: A rock up bring back.
- 44:01Speaker 6: You know what I'm game.
- 44:05Speaker 4: So you know you want to pay attention to that
- 44:07Speaker 4: as well, but you can it's definitely you know JM.
- 44:10Speaker 5: Bullying is one of the ones that I perfectly like.
- 44:13Speaker 5: They good people. But also you can go to you
- 44:15Speaker 5: know where.
- 44:15Speaker 4: People buying these rolexes and all that from, like a
- 44:17Speaker 4: lot of these places. If it's a real rolex, that's
- 44:20Speaker 4: not the rolex dealer. They can be certified dealers and
- 44:24Speaker 4: you can literally go to them and be like, yo,
- 44:25Speaker 4: I want to buy some gold, and they'll be like,
- 44:27Speaker 4: all right, cool.
- 44:27Speaker 6: I got you. You know what I'm saying.
- 44:29Speaker 5: You can buy pellets of goal, you can buy gold coins.
- 44:31Speaker 4: But again, now you're looking at One of the things
- 44:33Speaker 4: you got to ask them is what is your feet?
- 44:36Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying.
- 44:37Speaker 4: And then a lot of time you try to sell again,
- 44:39Speaker 4: it's something to hold, you know what I'm saying. So
- 44:42Speaker 4: things get real, Like we looked at the if you
- 44:45Speaker 4: look at us deck clock dot org, you'll see that
- 44:47Speaker 4: the dollar loses value every day. The companies this world
- 44:50Speaker 4: is different. Twenty seven trillion dollars in debt and growing, right,
- 44:53Speaker 4: So we know that the more money they print, the
- 44:56Speaker 4: lesson is worth a dollar today. Ain't worth a dollar
- 44:58Speaker 4: of them, are? You know what I'm saying.
- 45:00Speaker 5: And so that's what the goal is.
- 45:01Speaker 4: So as the dollar loses value, the goal actually goes
- 45:03Speaker 4: up because people try to find safer places to put
- 45:06Speaker 4: their money, especially in volatile markets. Well, you know what
- 45:09Speaker 4: I'm saying, things going crazy, and they can't get into
- 45:11Speaker 4: bonds because.
- 45:12Speaker 5: That's usually the alternative.
- 45:14Speaker 6: Right.
- 45:14Speaker 4: If stocks become too risky, then big investors say, well,
- 45:16Speaker 4: let me get into bonds so they can get.
- 45:18Speaker 6: Some type of return on their money.
- 45:20Speaker 4: Right, but if bond, if bond interest rates go too low,
- 45:23Speaker 4: right now, they're like, okay, I don't want to be
- 45:25Speaker 4: in bonds. And then what happens when interest rates go low?
- 45:28Speaker 4: Gold goes up. Why because everybody's gonna say, let me
- 45:31Speaker 4: get the gold. You feel what I'm saying. So now
- 45:33Speaker 4: we start understanding that triangle offense like Phil Jackson, stocks, bonds, goal,
- 45:38Speaker 4: But really goal is like that safe haven.
- 45:42Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying.
- 45:42Speaker 4: It's the safe house, right, It's gonna be there, it's
- 45:45Speaker 4: going to perform. But the thing about goal is if
- 45:48Speaker 4: the stocks are performing well, then they don't.
- 45:50Speaker 6: Need to be in goal. They can go to stocks
- 45:52Speaker 6: and get a great return of their money.
- 45:54Speaker 4: When stocks get too risky and bonds don't got a
- 45:56Speaker 4: good rate, when let me go to gold to go up,
- 45:58Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying.
- 46:00Speaker 6: So I feel like I'm.
- 46:01Speaker 3: Trapping right now. So that's the that's the physical, but
- 46:05Speaker 3: then you can buy it like et they go buy
- 46:07Speaker 3: a gold stock on the stock market right now.
- 46:10Speaker 4: So so now what happens is you won't buy physical
- 46:13Speaker 4: goal on the stock market. You will buy gold miners, right,
- 46:19Speaker 4: and that's a great place to be because what goal
- 46:23Speaker 4: miners are the people who mine goal mining, the goal
- 46:26Speaker 4: the companies, the companies, right, So you can buy gold
- 46:29Speaker 4: miners and then a lot of gold miners will actually
- 46:31Speaker 4: be copper miners as well, because some in a lot
- 46:36Speaker 4: of the goal that's what they'll mix it with a
- 46:37Speaker 4: little bit, you know what I'm saying. So a lot
- 46:40Speaker 4: of gold miners be copper miners, some be silver miners,
- 46:43Speaker 4: some be platinum miners.
- 46:44Speaker 5: So now you're just looking at that whole aspect.
- 46:47Speaker 4: But you can buy goal miners and you can buy
- 46:50Speaker 4: goal et s which can actually be a mixture of
- 46:54Speaker 4: miners and like the precious metal other precious metals that's
- 46:59Speaker 4: inside that one of them is called ounces take a
- 47:03Speaker 4: symbol O U n Z, you know what I'm saying,
- 47:05Speaker 4: So that's a goal ETF as well.
- 47:07Speaker 7: So when We're looking at gold ETFs right, and I'm
- 47:09Speaker 7: thinking like things of myself just from a standpoint of like, yo,
- 47:14Speaker 7: people are minding the gold who's both righting the shovels
- 47:17Speaker 7: form and were looking.
- 47:17Speaker 5: Come on you you you talking about tom you know,
- 47:20Speaker 5: so you think about that.
- 47:21Speaker 4: Like one of the things I said is when that's
- 47:23Speaker 4: how most people got rich during the gold Rush, was
- 47:26Speaker 4: not the people who was digging for gold. It was
- 47:28Speaker 4: the people who sold the shovels. That's who got rich.
- 47:31Speaker 4: So that's a great place to be.
- 47:33Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying.
- 47:33Speaker 3: So yeah, so let me ask you this as far
- 47:36Speaker 3: last time we was here, we talked about a little
- 47:37Speaker 3: bit touched on how to save for your kid, what
- 47:40Speaker 3: can studio accounts playing, things of that nature, But I
- 47:44Speaker 3: don't think we went over there like to like in
- 47:47Speaker 3: depth with the OMA and the UGMA.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Can you talk about that a little bit?
- 47:52Speaker 5: Yeah, yea, yeah.
- 47:53Speaker 4: So what we did was we talked about, you know,
- 47:55Speaker 4: just investing from my daughter.
- 47:56Speaker 5: And that was.
- 47:57Speaker 4: Real dope because before I actually spoke on that, I
- 48:05Speaker 4: never heard nobody talk about it, you know what I'm saying.
- 48:07Speaker 4: And so for me, one of the reasons what I
- 48:10Speaker 4: did so I was like, what's the difference between it,
- 48:12Speaker 4: cause I wanted to do something for my daughter besides
- 48:14Speaker 4: just putting money in a bank account. Like if I'm
- 48:16Speaker 4: making my money work for me all the time, and
- 48:18Speaker 4: I'm saying I'm gonna do this for the long run,
- 48:20Speaker 4: then I'm instantly a light went off of my head
- 48:22Speaker 4: and was like, if I stole my daughter, now she
- 48:25Speaker 4: got way more time than me.
- 48:27Speaker 5: I can put a whole bunch.
- 48:28Speaker 4: Of young bucks and us you know what I'm saying,
- 48:30Speaker 4: custudio account and let it run.
- 48:32Speaker 5: So you got two types.
- 48:33Speaker 4: You got the ugmy and you got the ut the
- 48:37Speaker 4: ug Mud.
- 48:38Speaker 6: And the ut muh.
- 48:39Speaker 5: So one of them is as.
- 48:42Speaker 4: Una unified gifts account, and one of them is a
- 48:47Speaker 4: transfer account.
- 48:50Speaker 5: Right, So one of them, the.
- 48:51Speaker 4: Ut the ut Mud, you can put real estate, you
- 48:57Speaker 4: can put gold, you can put with art, you can
- 49:01Speaker 4: put intellectual properties and stocks and cash over there. The
- 49:08Speaker 4: Ugmah is a gift so you can only put stocks
- 49:13Speaker 4: or binds, mutual funds, eats cash.
- 49:16Speaker 5: You can't put the real estate and the other stuff
- 49:18Speaker 5: in there.
- 49:18Speaker 6: So there's a limitation between the two. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 49:21Speaker 5: But the dope part about both of them is they're
- 49:26Speaker 5: not taxed. The third but there's an advantage.
- 49:29Speaker 4: In having them, whereas the first won't see it. Think
- 49:33Speaker 4: it's a thousand, one thousand and fifty dollars, it's tax free.
- 49:38Speaker 4: Everything from two thousand dollars on up get taxed at
- 49:42Speaker 4: a children's rate, which is ten percent, you know what
- 49:45Speaker 4: I'm saying. So it's still you know, not you got
- 49:48Speaker 4: to pay the taxes, you know what I'm saying on it.
- 49:50Speaker 5: But it's still cool because.
- 49:53Speaker 4: I think one of the things that our people, our
- 49:56Speaker 4: culture have bad and it's again it's not we just
- 49:59Speaker 4: got to learn it.
- 50:00Speaker 6: We're scared to pay taxes.
- 50:02Speaker 4: The first thing somebody be like and I don't won't
- 50:04Speaker 4: pay no taxes, when in reality like paying taxing.
- 50:07Speaker 5: Me and you're making money, you know what I'm saying.
- 50:10Speaker 4: So now you just got to figure out how to
- 50:13Speaker 4: decrease the taxes instead of not pay the taxes, you
- 50:16Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. So one of the way is
- 50:17Speaker 4: you want to decrease taxes on the money you're making. Right,
- 50:20Speaker 4: So if you got your child in that UPMA account,
- 50:23Speaker 4: right or that you get you're only paying ten percent
- 50:25Speaker 4: no matter what it does you're paying ten percent, I'm
- 50:27Speaker 4: cool with.
- 50:28Speaker 5: That, whereas just regular.
- 50:31Speaker 4: Income account that's twenty eight percent, twenty three percent.
- 50:34Speaker 6: Like, that's major.
- 50:36Speaker 4: So your child now from zero to eighteen or twenty
- 50:39Speaker 4: one depending on the state, then paying ten percent and
- 50:42Speaker 4: you changing their life, and I'll take that.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's powerful.
- 50:46Speaker 3: It's powerful, and I think that having a conversation about
- 50:50Speaker 3: generational wealth, that's has to be included in there because
- 50:53Speaker 3: it's like you have, the first step is investing for yourself.
- 50:56Speaker 2: You can't save anybody till you save yourself.
- 50:58Speaker 6: That's the fact.
- 50:58Speaker 3: But after you say, after you you know, not even
- 51:01Speaker 3: save yourself. After you start investing in yourself, now you
- 51:06Speaker 3: have to start to invest in your children.
- 51:08Speaker 6: That's that's that's what we plug.
- 51:09Speaker 5: That's the plug the generation.
- 51:11Speaker 6: If you're not doing that, you're selfish.
- 51:13Speaker 5: Told us that, man, that's the plug.
- 51:15Speaker 4: Like you know, I always said, man, like if I
- 51:18Speaker 4: got it out the mud, and I watched my mama
- 51:21Speaker 4: get it out the mud, and I watched my grandmother
- 51:24Speaker 4: get it out the mud, and I watch everybody around
- 51:26Speaker 4: me get out the mud while they let my child
- 51:29Speaker 4: get it out the mud.
- 51:31Speaker 5: At some point I gotta say, I won't change this, yo.
- 51:34Speaker 4: I gotta say, Man, it's different, and I feel like we,
- 51:38Speaker 4: you know, we get so caught up in I'm living
- 51:41Speaker 4: my best life to what we were trying to enjoy
- 51:44Speaker 4: life so much to what you forget about. They got
- 51:46Speaker 4: generations that kind of come behind us, you know what
- 51:48Speaker 4: I'm saying. So for me, it's a lot of stuff
- 51:50Speaker 4: I don't do until I know for sure I've at
- 51:53Speaker 4: least secured two generations, you know what I'm saying. And
- 51:57Speaker 4: that comes with one educating my daughter, because even if
- 52:03Speaker 4: I give her a million dollars, if I ain't educated
- 52:07Speaker 4: on what to do with a million dollars, I've now
- 52:10Speaker 4: wasted a million dollars.
- 52:12Speaker 5: It's a saying that if.
- 52:13Speaker 4: You took all the wealth in the world and divided
- 52:16Speaker 4: it equally, within ten to fifteen years, the wealthy people
- 52:20Speaker 4: will be back in charge because.
- 52:23Speaker 6: They know what to do.
- 52:25Speaker 5: We get a million dollars and we don't know what
- 52:27Speaker 5: to do with it.
- 52:29Speaker 4: We back into the famous court I said in the beginning,
- 52:33Speaker 4: lions don't tell the gazelles and the zebras how to
- 52:37Speaker 4: get away. Why Because now I'm taking food out of
- 52:41Speaker 4: my mouth. So as long as I don't tell you
- 52:44Speaker 4: how to get away, You're gonna always come back. But
- 52:46Speaker 4: if I tell you how to get away, now you're
- 52:49Speaker 4: gonna go tell the zebra. Look, it's how to get
- 52:51Speaker 4: away from the line, and a zebra gonna go tell
- 52:53Speaker 4: the giraffe and the gazelle.
- 52:55Speaker 5: Now nobody came.
- 52:56Speaker 4: I ain't got no tricks something my sleeve, Whereas if
- 52:59Speaker 4: I don't, I don't nobody and not just keep it
- 53:01Speaker 4: amongst my people, and we gonna always eat. So I
- 53:04Speaker 4: ain't mad at them for not giving us the game.
- 53:06Speaker 4: I ain't around here saying, man, they should teach us
- 53:09Speaker 4: this in school. No, what I'm gonna do is I'm
- 53:12Speaker 4: gonna get the knowledge, right, I'm gonna seek it. I'm
- 53:14Speaker 4: gonna go get I'm gonna flip every rock. I'm gonna
- 53:16Speaker 4: kick in every day, right, and once I get it,
- 53:20Speaker 4: I'm gonna go back and regurgitate it to my daughter
- 53:23Speaker 4: at the age of two. What's the stock? What's an asset?
- 53:26Speaker 4: What's the liability? Does it make you money?
- 53:28Speaker 6: You know? What's real estate?
- 53:30Speaker 4: At an early age, I'm having this conversation. So now
- 53:33Speaker 4: I'm teaching her a word to date like she's not
- 53:35Speaker 4: still when I'm gonna see that then like a word,
- 53:37Speaker 4: I'm teaching her two three words a day about just
- 53:39Speaker 4: financial literacy. Like the school can do what the school
- 53:42Speaker 4: is supposed to do. We're gonna do some of that
- 53:43Speaker 4: homework too. But this financial literacy, this was gonna save you.
- 53:46Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. Let me show this was
- 53:48Speaker 4: gonna save you family, you know what I'm saying. So
- 53:49Speaker 4: I'm teaching her that. So now I've did two things.
- 53:53Speaker 4: I've showed her how to make a million through investing it,
- 53:55Speaker 4: and I've taught her how to nurture a million with knowledge,
- 54:00Speaker 4: because information is defertilizer to your wealth.
- 54:02Speaker 6: Man.
- 54:02Speaker 5: That's how we say generations with knowledge passing all the money.
- 54:05Speaker 6: You won't.
- 54:06Speaker 5: Man, if you don't pass no knowledge, you killed them.
- 54:09Speaker 2: No, it's a true fact.
- 54:10Speaker 3: And it was like, you know, bringing it full circle,
- 54:13Speaker 3: you know, bigger than just like I said, just bigger
- 54:15Speaker 3: than just a podcast when you reached out to me
- 54:17Speaker 3: like we need to really do something to change the world.
- 54:20Speaker 3: I hate the word culture because it just gets watered
- 54:22Speaker 3: down so much.
- 54:24Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 54:26Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like that's a fact.
- 54:28Speaker 2: That's a fact.
- 54:29Speaker 6: I appreciate you for putting me on.
- 54:31Speaker 3: But it was like, you know what I'm saying, let's
- 54:33Speaker 3: change the world and the problem. You know, I never
- 54:36Speaker 3: understood like until recently, shot to MG the mortgage guy
- 54:40Speaker 3: shut out. He he enlightened me on a lot of
- 54:43Speaker 3: different things, like you can only put so much information
- 54:47Speaker 3: in a podcast. It's just a fact. This is why
- 54:49Speaker 3: education is still important. I'm not anti college like people
- 54:52Speaker 3: think I'm anti college because I always talk bad about college.
- 54:55Speaker 6: I'm not about college all the time.
- 54:57Speaker 3: I just feel like a lot of it's just the way,
- 54:58Speaker 3: not even college so much, but he education period, education.
- 55:02Speaker 7: I'm not.
- 55:03Speaker 3: I'm not anti college. I have a college degree, but
- 55:05Speaker 3: I just feel.
- 55:06Speaker 6: That that say that again.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Man, know everybody know I have a college I'm saying
- 55:11Speaker 2: like I didn't know that.
- 55:12Speaker 6: Bro, Yeah I have people people you know.
- 55:15Speaker 2: I went to Hawaii play basketball.
- 55:16Speaker 6: I forgot you.
- 55:18Speaker 5: I thought you was like on something.
- 55:21Speaker 7: People got that misusception. Even like today they was just like, yo,
- 55:25Speaker 7: you know that.
- 55:25Speaker 6: I I'm like you went to school to like we
- 55:27Speaker 6: both had education as a background for us foundation.
- 55:31Speaker 2: I finished in three years.
- 55:33Speaker 6: Bro.
- 55:33Speaker 5: I keep telling y'all listen, I'm not a financial.
- 55:39Speaker 6: He could take you the glory Man graduated.
- 55:42Speaker 2: But with Mickey Fact. Shout out to Mickey Fast is
- 55:45Speaker 2: one of my favorite bar.
- 55:47Speaker 6: Yeah, that's hard.
- 55:48Speaker 3: When he came on and he spent the freestyle for
- 55:50Speaker 3: us and he said, formal education will get you a portion,
- 55:54Speaker 3: but self education will make you a fortune. And that's
- 55:57Speaker 3: my life. Like, if I had to rely on my
- 55:59Speaker 3: college to read right now, be in trouble. Just honestly speaking,
- 56:02Speaker 3: I'll be in trouble. So it's the things that I
- 56:05Speaker 3: learned outside of college, including earn at Lisia. Like just
- 56:09Speaker 3: in the last twelve and eighteen months, Like you know
- 56:11Speaker 3: what I'm saying, that has literally literally changed the trajectory
- 56:15Speaker 3: of my not only my life, my son's life and
- 56:18Speaker 3: God willing his children's lives. Like you know what I'm saying,
- 56:21Speaker 3: Like it literally has changed. You see people would have
- 56:25Speaker 3: it's not a facade. If you follow all of us
- 56:29Speaker 3: on Instagram, you see the growth that's a fact only
- 56:32Speaker 3: through education. So it's like when you came to me
- 56:35Speaker 3: and you was like, yo, bro, let's do something. We're
- 56:37Speaker 3: going back and forth. I'm like, let's do a podcast.
- 56:39Speaker 3: You're going through a podcast, right, You're going to do
- 56:41Speaker 3: any I think the hard part when people get into
- 56:45Speaker 3: podcast is that you hear information, it becomes overload, and
- 56:48Speaker 3: some people are going to act on it, but unfortunately
- 56:50Speaker 3: a lot of people, it's just it's just not enough,
- 56:54Speaker 3: like you kind of need. And that's the good thing
- 56:55Speaker 3: about school is like you need that certain level of
- 56:58Speaker 3: like a tutor to like walk you through it, and
- 57:01Speaker 3: here's a screen share on the website and show you
- 57:04Speaker 3: and like how to open an account and like what
- 57:08Speaker 3: stock to like sometimes you got to hold the person's hand. Unfortunately,
- 57:11Speaker 3: in one hour even two hours, it's just not enough
- 57:14Speaker 3: time to do that. So we're like, how do we
- 57:16Speaker 3: do this? So he was going back and forth and
- 57:18Speaker 3: this is the first time ever Early leads the history
- 57:20Speaker 3: where we actually collaborated with somebody and put together I
- 57:23Speaker 3: don't even want to call it a curriculum. I don't
- 57:25Speaker 3: want to call it a program. It's really a manual. Yeah,
- 57:28Speaker 3: we put together a manual for generational wealth called the
- 57:32Speaker 3: Family Pack, and it was just like the idea was
- 57:36Speaker 3: just crazy, and it's like you was like, yo, I
- 57:40Speaker 3: need you on it too, like as an advice, I
- 57:44Speaker 3: need you on it. So I'm like, all right, So
- 57:47Speaker 3: we talk about dividends. You talk about reach, you'd give
- 57:50Speaker 3: them like five growth stocks to pick mutual funds. I
- 57:55Speaker 3: break down a mutual fund play because a lot of
- 57:56Speaker 3: times people have the wrong misconceptions about mutual funds. But
- 57:59Speaker 3: you can actually make a lot of money on the
- 58:01Speaker 3: right mutual funds. Sometimes you don't even have to pay
- 58:04Speaker 3: the knock on mutual funds that you pay a lot
- 58:06Speaker 3: of money, but sometimes you don't have to pay that.
- 58:08Speaker 3: If you know what you're doing, you get no load fund.
- 58:10Speaker 3: And there's things that nation and we want you broke
- 58:12Speaker 3: that down. Broke down index fund, broke down five to
- 58:14Speaker 3: twenty nine plans, Please our plans is crazy because it's
- 58:18Speaker 3: like boke about five to twenty nine plans. But it's like,
- 58:21Speaker 3: you know, there's like thirty something states where you can
- 58:23Speaker 3: actually get a tax benefit, but then there's like six states.
- 58:26Speaker 3: But those thirty states, you have to actually live in
- 58:29Speaker 3: that state, and the five to twenty nine plan has
- 58:31Speaker 3: to be in that state. But then it's like six
- 58:33Speaker 3: states where you can actually invest in anybody's state five
- 58:36Speaker 3: to twenty nine plan and you can still get a
- 58:38Speaker 3: tax break. So it's just like it's just always so
- 58:41Speaker 3: many different levels of onions to peel back, and then
- 58:44Speaker 3: we went over to trust, Yes, and we broke that.
- 58:46Speaker 3: It's the first time ever I broke down life insurance
- 58:49Speaker 3: and actually like showed somebody like how I look at
- 58:53Speaker 3: it as an advisor, like the access that I'm privy to,
- 58:56Speaker 3: which is like you don't have that as a regular person, like,
- 58:59Speaker 3: and I kind of like went.
- 58:59Speaker 5: Through that, and I broke down the Dynasty trust.
- 59:02Speaker 3: And Dynasty trusting to keep going.
- 59:09Speaker 2: It was the whole thing. Man.
- 59:10Speaker 3: It was like we actually gave the formula and different
- 59:15Speaker 3: how to make your child a millionaire, guarantee the investments,
- 59:18Speaker 3: and it was like that alone took like a half
- 59:20Speaker 3: an hour to actually explain. It's like it's like a
- 59:22Speaker 3: whole thing, but it's just something like I said, it's
- 59:26Speaker 3: like if we put that like we would have to
- 59:29Speaker 3: literally through ten podcasts.
- 59:31Speaker 6: And you still might miss something whole season.
- 59:33Speaker 3: And I'm saying that nobody's really gonna sit for ten
- 59:35Speaker 3: podcasts that have to be like his own Wall Street
- 59:38Speaker 3: Trapper or your Lisha show.
- 59:41Speaker 2: So talk about talk about talk about the family pack.
- 59:46Speaker 4: So for me, you know, the reason why I really
- 59:48Speaker 4: came you with the idea is, you know, this last year.
- 59:50Speaker 6: It was a lot of growth for me.
- 59:53Speaker 4: And I realized that, yo, like I can talk about
- 59:56Speaker 4: a lot of stuff because it's as you as you
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: start learning more knowledge, you start seeking more knowledge, right,
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: And I realized how knowledgeable you were, and we was
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: having dual conversations. So for me, it was like, bro,
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: like like we can change something, but we're gonna have to.
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: Walk them through.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: It was like we gotta, we gotta have to because
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: you like, Yo, they still not getting it, Like they're
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: still not getting it, and like people come up to.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Me but still don't get it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Bro, Like we literally have to walk there, hold their
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: hands and walk them through this.
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: And that's okay.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: Now it's okay.
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: And the reason why it's okay.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: And I see people get frustrated all the time, Like
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: I see people on Instagram saying stuff like I.
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: Told you this, why are you doing it?
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: I'm like, Yo, you're an educator, like everybody sitting in
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: the class learn different.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. So I was like, we
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: gotta walk them through it.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: One is because you don't know what you don't know
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: until you exposed to it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: I remember my first time cooking up, bro, I burned it,
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: the water turned brown. I had to call my at
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: and she had to like show me what I was doing.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: But she played me because she took a lot of
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: you know, she she took the.
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: Shake out of it.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: She charged me for it, and she played me. And
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: by the time I got what she left me with,
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: it was just enough to get another package. But because
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: she walked me through it, I ain't need none more.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: So I was a l I took, but it was
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: a learning lesson, you feel what I'm saying.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: So for me, I feel like over the last year, we've.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Made financial literacy, investing in the stock market and all
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: the great breakdowns that y'all do every Tuesday and every Monday,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: we've now piqued people's interests. People understand now, especially with
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: this pandemic. They're like, yo, I gotta do something else,
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: and they want to do it.
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: That's the great thing.
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: We've now made, it say, because I remember me coming
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: up telling y'all. I'm telling my partners about it and
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: they're like, I'm not doing that, bro, you tripping right,
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: And here we are a year later.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: My partner is now like, bro, I just.
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: Bought some apple.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: And people don't know, like, trap, you chained my life
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: because this wite the common chasing change because we've been
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: beating it, like we ain't stopping Market Monday Trapping Toody podcast,
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Market Monday Trapping Toody podcast.
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: This we consistent.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: So now it's like we've peaked the interest and now
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: people are like, all right, I want to do it,
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: but I don't know what to do. All right, Cool,
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: That's what this wealth pack is about. It's about saying, Okay,
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: I made the mistakes for you.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Hopefully, hopefully you don't have to do that.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Butha'm gonna make sure you ain't gonna do it. See,
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: if I just tell it to you, you're still liable
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: to make the mistakes because you're trying to replay what
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: I said, and it's gonna you know, you ain't really
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: getting it. I can tell you watch out for that whole,
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: but it's so many other things going on.
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: You still fall in the whole.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: But now if I grab your hand and say look,
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: we're gonna step over this whole, and I got your hand,
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: You're like, okay, let me step over the whole. Right,
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: So it's important. It was important for me to say,
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: let's shift gives. Let's not just tell them, let's lead them.
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: And what makes it so impressive is that you know,
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: most times people, you know, they take programs, they take
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: cause it's really about themselves.
- 1:03:18Speaker 6: But this ain't.
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: This is about you, but it's about your family. And like,
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: who doesn't want to set up that family lug?
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying? Who doesn't want to be
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: the plug to create generational themselves.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: It's the most selfless act you can give. So I mean,
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: it's not even no more than we can actually even
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: say about it. I just feel like it's just a
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: really proud thing that we're proud of it. That's the
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: partner with you as our first product that we actually
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: are part of that who magically, you know, performed on
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: a artist. I feel like an artist directed. It's purple taste,
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: like ghost Face on the Purple tape. So you don't
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: let Mad say that.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: I'm gonna say you the rith don't hear you say
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: that ghost Faseline because he's capped down.
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: He said, I'm still trying to figure out how you
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: came up with I don't even know. That's another story, earners,
