  [SPEAKER_00]: He just does an amazing job in terms of his clarity, communication, and just willingness to be as forthright as possible with most things, doesn't really get into injuries a lot, but he did start the press conference, talking about Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: knowing about how Travis learns how he works, the person he is, the personality, the communication, all that stuff, and they are so excited for his future, and the whole minor comeback for a major comeback type of mindset is what they've been trying to instill with Travis for sure, Murray's getting a little bit frustrated over here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, to me though, the biggest thing, again, was they would not commit to Travis Hunter being a two-way player moving forward.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And it's not that, to me, it's the fact that it's even in question is interesting, not necessarily bothersome or worriesome to me, like, if Travis Hunter is just a superstar wide receiver or just a superstar corner, which I believe he will be one of the two, if not both,

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the fact that it's even in question is fascinating and something that will be monitored and talked about to death over the next year, well, I mean, not year, but, you know, leading up, getting into the off season and leading up to

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, gonna be fascinating for sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, I really do believe, if he's only focusing on one side, he can be a superstar.

  [SPEAKER_00]: To me, playing both sides, it was always gonna take a little bit more time to get the high impact, and there was high impact moments a lot from Travis Hunter this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: but I think if he plays one side, he will be able to lock in a little bit more.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And probably, if he would have been playing at like a B to B plus playing both sides, just over the next couple of years as he grows, I think he could potentially be an A to an A plus at one position very quickly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen talked about a lot of other stuff was asked about kind of what he wants more of from Trevor like where he's not getting the job done and and he first said no but then he said we did have a good conversation and I kind of talked to him about you know just letting it rip uh there's there's times when Liam Cohen so they have

  [SPEAKER_00]: basically retot Trevor Lawrence had to play quarterback in a lot of ways.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Footwork, mentally, getting through your reads, all that different stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think Trevor Lawrence has taken to it well, but it has made him a little bit fearful of making him a mistake because he wants to execute the offense exactly as how it's drawn up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: but it's difficult to do that at times because it's football, it's an imperfect science, you're not going to have the play coming together exactly as it's drawn up every single time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Liam Cohen wants him to be able to play a little bit more free, not feel so apprehensive about potentially not doing what the play is designed to do, not making the perfect read, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a brand new offense that operates completely different than anything else they've done in Jacksonville before, just be free.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did talk about, though, you know, Travis Hunter, and he talked after the Raider's game and this team, including Travis Hunter, they just feel so confident that when they get in the two-minute situations, end of half end of game, Trevor Lawrence is going to deliver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they really have outside of, you know, Tuma Adoga's horrible penalty.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And talked about penalties today too, Liam Condon.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Outside of that horrible penalty, I mean Trevor Lawrence was Nails on that final drive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: All the, like so many games already this year and he did it in 2022, he did it in 2023.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So to me, one thing you can't really question is Trevor Lawrence late in the game and a half-to-half-it situation, he's been so good in those.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, was asked about, you know, the chargers, their receivers, talked about that a little bit, which is interesting.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Jack Wars, we could love an opponent as the Los Angeles chargers here in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The chargers are in second place in their division.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jack Wars are in second place in their division.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're both in the wild card right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen said he believes he's the most targeted player in the NFL on third down and they've also got Latman Conki said these guys are great at beating the soft spot in the zone.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're great at beating man coverage and I think they're a horrible matchup for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I hope I'm wrong and I hope I'm wrong.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think I can be wrong about that, but the Jaguars have to make some changes in the way they cover, and we'll talk about that too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, just generally speaking, it seems like Keenan Allen and Labanconki are pretty bad matchups for the Jaguars past defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Also just Cohen was complimentary of, they're one of the best teams of NFL on third down on both sides, and that's winning time throughout a game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you can execute on third down on both sides of the ball, you are going to win a lot of football games.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Was asked about kind of the mental and physical response to this loss against the Texans, heart-wrenching and barricing loss to the Texans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He started talking a little bit about the soul of the sports is team, the connection,

  [SPEAKER_00]: between the coaches and the players and all the players and other players, like the team, that's what's going to get them over the hump coming off that game, said they're diving into the fundamentals this week.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He said, whenever you have a tough game like that, the way he knows to get back from it is to dive into the fundamentals, go back to basics, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And speaking of going back to basics, penalties.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The message from Liam Cohen to the team is the same message that it has been regarding the penalties.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if he thinks like the Chuma adoga penalty at the end of the game was like a controllable one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It happened because Tuma Adoga did not execute at right tackle, fundamentally he did not get out of his stance and set properly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He oversetted and that gave the Russia a easy lane inside and then he had to try to get back inside, reestablished position, hands got caught up to high, boom, illegal hands to the face.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Asked about the Jaguar as come back against the Chargers in 2022, 2022 postseason, unbelievable game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But kind of took it back to the Houston game with his response saying, what do we learn from this?

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can learn and grow more from an embarrassing loss like that than anything else, but you've got to take away from it, the important things and find what you need to take away from it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think these are questions that he's already answered internally and with his team, but that's kind of where they need to grow from that game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, talked about Britain's strange window, practice window being open up 21-day practice window.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he'll return to practice and just kind of see what they can do, see where he's at, see when they can get him back on the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: bigger issues for the Jack Wars just because he's so reliable in so many ways for the offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's great rum blocker, intensity, really good receiver, all those things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So they definitely need him back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's about what they need to see from why at myelum, and they want to see him get off the ball the way he was getting off the ball and training camp before his injury.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it obviously just means based on what Liam said, is that they still don't feel like he's 100% recovered from his injury and training camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The past rush has been a huge talking point for Liam, media, fans, everybody.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What is his evaluation of how it needs to improve, of how it can get better?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he said, he started with, well, you got to be stickier, more patient and coverage.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's like music to my ears because that's what I'm seeing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He said, you know, teams are getting the ball out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not necessarily quick game where it's like under two seconds, although Dave has milled at plenty of throws under two seconds, especially down the stretch in the comeback completions under two seconds.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But San there getting the ball out quick, you know, two and a half seconds, two, 0.7 seconds, that range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's a general statement, not just about the Texans, but about like the last month or so.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And in those situations, you've got to be stickier and more patient as a defensive back as a corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So when the Jaguar's are playing off zone coverage, they have got to try to mirror movements as soon as that receiver is getting out of your, even if you're playing off, you can move forward a step or two and get aggressive and get sticky and then be patient to not bail

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you don't have the guys in my opinion on the back end to worry about getting beat deeper.
