- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics and healthcare with
- 0:02Speaker 1: Balanced Life Chiropractic, and we have doctor Harley with us.
- 0:04Speaker 1: How you doing, Doctor Harley?
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey John, I'm doing fantastic.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Happy fourth birthday. Thank you.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Yeah. As we're standing in my office and seeing all
- 0:12Speaker 2: the fun stuff that it's crazy it's been four years on.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Does it feel like it's been four years to you?
- 0:18Speaker 2: No, I don't really know what it feels like, but
- 0:20Speaker 2: it seems like it's been a long time, but also
- 0:21Speaker 2: a very short amount of time.
- 0:23Speaker 1: With Sonny, we started in twenty ten, and that feels
- 0:26Speaker 1: like yesterday in some senses, and there's other times where
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'm like, I feel like it was fifty years ago.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Yeah, time flies, you know when you're having enough.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Fun over the amount of time that you've been doing
- 0:37Speaker 1: this now four years in Sioux Falls. Because I know
- 0:39Speaker 1: you've did stuff before Balanced Life Chiropractic opened up. You
- 0:42Speaker 1: didn't just like graduate and say today I'm doing my thing,
- 0:45Speaker 1: but just since you've but you had a chance to
- 0:48Speaker 1: work with a lot of people before you open this,
- 0:51Speaker 1: but since you started Balanced Life Chiropractic, do you know
- 0:53Speaker 1: how many people you've worked with? Is there a or
- 0:55Speaker 1: do you not really, you don't even know.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It's a lot, though, isn't it.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's one hundreds, if not thousands. Ye's
- 1:01Speaker 2: I mean we probably have that number somewhere. I'm not
- 1:04Speaker 2: the math person or like the statistics person, so I
- 1:07Speaker 2: don't know that.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Think about the difference you've made in their life, and
- 1:10Speaker 1: then let's just talk about this, like if it was
- 1:12Speaker 1: Grandma and you were able to help Grandma who had
- 1:14Speaker 1: a sore back, well, then Grandma was able to give
- 1:16Speaker 1: her grandkids hugs and go and play and do things
- 1:18Speaker 1: that she wouldn't have been able to do without balance
- 1:21Speaker 1: life chropractic, without doctor Harley. So think of the difference
- 1:23Speaker 1: you've made in probably thousands of lives.
- 1:26Speaker 2: It's been amazing getting to help people live better, quality,
- 1:29Speaker 2: healthier lives. Life change really help them to just get
- 1:33Speaker 2: back on their feet and do what they want to
- 1:35Speaker 2: do again. And I'm so glad that the patients that
- 1:38Speaker 2: we've seen they've been able to find us. I just
- 1:40Speaker 2: wish we could help have been able to help more
- 1:42Speaker 2: patients over the last couple of years, and obviously as
- 1:45Speaker 2: we continue to grow and keep going on twenty years
- 1:47Speaker 2: from now that number is going to be so much bigger,
- 1:50Speaker 2: and it's just it's amazing how one little thing can
- 1:53Speaker 2: have a huge impact on someone's life.
- 1:55Speaker 1: And think about this. There could be somebody who's they
- 1:58Speaker 1: were under your care and you help them, and now
- 2:00Speaker 1: you impact their life where they want to become a
- 2:02Speaker 1: chiropractor because I remember hearing a story about a young
- 2:05Speaker 1: doctor Harley who before she was doctor Harley, you became
- 2:08Speaker 1: a chiropractor because you went to a chiropractor.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yeah. I started going when I was in high school
- 2:13Speaker 2: for like sports injuries and whatnot, and just seeing how
- 2:17Speaker 2: well chiropractic could help me get better with like my
- 2:20Speaker 2: sports career because at the time sports was everything to me, right,
- 2:23Speaker 2: So it was just really cool getting to see how
- 2:25Speaker 2: that could change my life. But then also shadowing this
- 2:28Speaker 2: doctor and seeing how he was helping other people in
- 2:31Speaker 2: the community. Just how amazing like our bodies are and
- 2:34Speaker 2: how we can heal really quickly, and chiropractic really helps
- 2:37Speaker 2: turn on that healing process.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And all those years ago you saw what happened in
- 2:42Speaker 1: your life and then you followed that path and now
- 2:45Speaker 1: for the last four years balance life chiropractic, hundreds of
- 2:49Speaker 1: people later you may have had that same impact on
- 2:51Speaker 1: someone else.
- 2:51Speaker 2: How cool would that be? Yeah, it's I mean we
- 2:54Speaker 2: get testimonials from our patients all the time. They're like,
- 2:56Speaker 2: I don't know where I would be if we hadn't
- 2:57Speaker 2: started seeing you, or just you know, families a lot healthier.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You know, they go on vacations that they weren't playing
- 3:03Speaker 2: because going on vacations a lot of walking, and when
- 3:06Speaker 2: you have like low back pain and it hurts to
- 3:08Speaker 2: walk up the steps a little and think about like
- 3:10Speaker 2: walking around like Rome or something like, it's. Yeah, it's
- 3:14Speaker 2: amazing the small changes that we can make to have
- 3:17Speaker 2: a huge impact.
- 3:18Speaker 1: In the last four years, I know of this one
- 3:20Speaker 1: elderly couple in their late forties now one in her
- 3:23Speaker 1: early fifties, who my wife's chuckling over here, who took
- 3:27Speaker 1: on a home renovation project that without you, we would
- 3:31Speaker 1: have been in so much trouble because how many times
- 3:33Speaker 1: do we hobble in here going, oh, we had a
- 3:34Speaker 1: tough weekend.
- 3:35Speaker 2: There's been a few. Yeah, yep.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So if somebody listening, whether they're taking on renovation projects
- 3:42Speaker 1: when they're way too old to do it like we did,
- 3:44Speaker 1: or if they're a youngster that's involved in sports and
- 3:46Speaker 1: maybe over exerted themselves or for whatever reason. If there's
- 3:49Speaker 1: somebody looking for a little bit of chiropractic help. Four
- 3:52Speaker 1: years at Balanced Life Chiropractic, how do they get in
- 3:54Speaker 1: touch with you?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Guys? Now, that's one of the best things about chiropractic
- 3:57Speaker 2: is anyone and everyone can to see a benefit from chiropractic,
- 4:02Speaker 2: even if it's for your typical as pains or just
- 4:04Speaker 2: wanting to stay healthier. It's a great thing to incorporate
