- 0:57So I haven't done one of these videos for a long, long time
- 0:59where I'm doing like celebrities with autism and stuff like that.
- 1:02So I've picked out 10 historical icons that are on the autism
- 1:06spectrum, and I want to go through with you right now.
- 1:08This is super, super dope. Guys, if you have anything to
- 1:11add question wise, you can always pop me up, comment down
- 1:13here. I read every single one.
- 1:14Or you can hit me up on Twitter and Instagram.
- 1:16I message everybody back. And so I'm always open for DMS
- 1:19Okay. So here are 10 influential
- 1:21historian icons who are famous and they have Asperger syndrome.
- 1:26All right, let's get into it. Okay.
- 1:27So the first one most notable, I'm probably most common is
- 1:30Albert Einstein. He's an influential scientist
- 1:33and he, you know, the theory of relativity.
- 1:35And he pretty much is just an absolute gem of a guy.
- 1:38Albert Einstein was very notably a bit of a different thinker.
- 1:43And he was, yeah, a scientist. He did amazing things.
- 1:46And yeah, he was also on the autism spectrum because
- 1:49basically there was this. These were all done by people
- 1:51looking back at people who are historical figures and icons and
- 1:56then kind of like applying the same kind of diagnostic criteria
- 1:58as they would today. So that being said, Albert
- 2:01Einstein would be on the spectrum.
- 2:03If you run through the diagnostic today, #2 is Sir
- 2:07Isaac Newton, not Isaac Newton. You know, the guy with the apple
- 2:09who fell down, he was kind of like the guy who discovered
- 2:11gravity. And you know, again, an
- 2:14influential scientist who are kind of a bizarre history.
- 2:17He, he actually at one point made his landlord create a
- 2:21staircase into the back of his house so we wouldn't have to see
- 2:23anybody on the way in because he wanted to just avoid human
- 2:27contact in all possible cases. He was just a very eccentric but
- 2:30very brilliant man and an influential scientist, obviously
- 2:33for for weights and physics, physics and chemistry.
- 2:36But in terms of Isaac Newman, again, the things like social
- 2:39isolation and trying to get away from, you know, social
- 2:42situations and his bizarre personality did mark him down as
- 2:47being an autistic person who would have been diagnosed with
- 2:49something like Asperger's syndrome if he was still alive
- 2:52today. OK, guys, so #3 is Hans
- 2:55Christian Anderson. Now.
- 2:56Hans Christian Anderson is a very famous author, a very
- 2:59impactful author. Actually, I think he'd done,
- 3:02like, so many books. But Hans Christian Anderson,
- 3:04again, was put through the same criteria and said that he had
- 3:07autism. So I always find that the Hans
- 3:09Christian Anderson one was very interesting because it's nice to
- 3:11see authors being kind of on the autism spectrum and things like
- 3:15that because a lot of autistic people do have issues with
- 3:17reading and writing. So that was kind of cool.
- 3:19OK, so #4 is Charles Darwin, who is actually a very famous
- 3:22philosopher and a famous scientist, and he kind of came
- 3:25up with that whole kind of theory of evolution and the
- 3:28survive and all that kind of stuff.
- 3:29So yeah, Charles Darwin, absolute legend of a guy and
- 3:32just all around proper gangster. He was awesome.
- 3:36OK, so #5 is Thomas Jefferson, not Thomas Jefferson, is an
- 3:40early, influential American politician.
- 3:43And he was just absolutely just, you know, crazy and just came up
- 3:48with all this kind of crazy stuff.
- 3:50But he was very influential. He was very intense.
- 3:53He was very intellectual and had some great insight into things.
- 3:56Especially American politics was kind of like his thing.
- 3:58So of course, you know, when they said he was on the
- 4:00spectrum, and I do believe them from the things I've read about
- 4:03Thomas Jefferson, And he's quite interesting.
- 4:06OK, guys, number six is Andy Warhol.
- 4:09Now, Andy Warhol is a very famous photographer, probably
- 4:12like the most influential photographer of all time.
- 4:14And he was so artistically creative but also bizarre.
- 4:17And because of this, it led him to be looked upon as being
- 4:20someone who'd be on the autism spectrum.
- 4:21He was put to the diagnostic criteria.
- 4:23And Andy Warhol is just a very, very, very famous photographer
- 4:27who was just super influential. I think, like, he's probably the
- 4:30most influential photographer ever.
- 4:31I think, you know, his art is just insane.
- 4:35OK guys, number seven is Nikola Tesla, obviously an amazingly
- 4:37clever scientist. Nikola Tesla is the reason we
- 4:40have electric going through grid systems at the certain currents
- 4:44that they are in. And it's just he's just amazing.
- 4:46Fantastic guy, very odd guy, very fantastic.
- 4:49And of course, he had every single trait of autism you could
- 4:52think of. And just very clever guy, but
- 4:55very troubled also. OK, #8, it's an interesting one.
- 4:59This is Steve Jobs. Well, Steve Jobs is the creator
- 5:01of Apple for Apple Macintosh computers.
- 5:04And he, along with a guy called Steve Wozniak set it up.
- 5:07But now it was just like Steve Jobs till the end.
- 5:09Until he passed away, sadly. But Steve Jobs was a very
- 5:13eccentric man, very interesting, Couldn't hold down
- 5:15relationships. Had to wash his feet before
- 5:17going on stage. Actually remember seeing the
- 5:20documentary? Sorry, it wasn't documentary.
- 5:22It was a film documenting his life.
- 5:23It was like a reenactment. And he, like, washed his feet in
- 5:26the toilet bowl before going on stage because he just had to
- 5:29wash his feet, which was just just an interesting guy, Quite
- 5:33bizarre, but interesting. But it wasn't terrible
- 5:35relationships and didn't have any emotion.
- 5:36It was all about his work and definitely on the autism
- 5:40spectrum. And this has been speculated for
- 5:41a very, very long time. OK, so #9 is Lewis Carroll.
- 5:45Now. He again, is a very famous
- 5:47children's book author from a long time ago.
- 5:50But Lewis Carroll displayed all of the hallmarks of an autism
- 5:53spectrum disorder, which led people to believe that like now
- 5:55Lewis Carroll would be diagnosed with an autism condition.
- 5:58OK, so last but not least on my list here is number 10 Stanley
- 6:03Kubrick. Now Stanley Kubrick was the
- 6:05movie director for 2001 Space Odyssey and just the whole
- 6:09thing. Like he, I think he also did The
- 6:11Shining with Stephen King. But Stanley Kubrick was just a
- 6:14very influential, very very talented creative director of
- 6:18movies and stuff like that. And again, his intense kind of
- 6:22quirks and his differences on the way he thinks really put him
- 6:25online to being seen upon as being being an autistic person,
- 6:29which is just absolutely fantastic.
- 6:30And I think he's awesome. So yeah, that's really
- 6:32interesting. Now, if you guys have anyone
- 6:34else to add to this list that you think I've missed off, pop
- 6:36in a comment down below. Why not?
- 6:38If you like this video and you thought it was fun, please share
- 6:40it on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and I'll see you next
