- 1:28Speaker 6: Snowed aka hold the Mayo joining us now. Now you
- 1:32Speaker 6: probably you know, are missing Dev unless you listen to
- 1:35Speaker 6: the station. He canceled on us last week, but he
- 1:38Speaker 6: was on another show on the station on Wednesday.
- 1:41Speaker 7: I believe it was and so.
- 1:44Speaker 6: Unfortunately we didn't have him last week, but somebody did, so, Dev,
- 1:48Speaker 6: how's it going, man?
- 1:48Speaker 7: How you doing?
- 1:50Speaker 4: Hey? Man, if you're walking down the Ana State and
- 1:52Speaker 4: you dehydrated, you know, and somebody pulls over and gives
- 1:55Speaker 4: you a bottle of water, you're gonna tell you get
- 1:56Speaker 4: a why you know that's Moscona pulled over. Man.
- 1:59Speaker 7: I'm gonna take it if it's my high because I'm loyal,
- 2:04Speaker 7: yeah you know, but if it's something else, I'm probably
- 2:06Speaker 7: just gonna throw it to the side.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Dev Well, granted, I can use this as an excuse.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Last Friday, I had a golf in a tournament for
- 2:13Speaker 4: the kids, for the kid.
- 2:16Speaker 8: For the kid, I'll give him the charity event. But
- 2:22Speaker 8: the AFR is an excuse.
- 2:23Speaker 6: That's a step too far, Like I don't know what
- 2:25Speaker 6: I don't you know, I don't know how I'll do it.
- 2:27Speaker 6: In Shall met but like where I'm from, it's like
- 2:30Speaker 6: you've been a part of our show for like hell
- 2:32Speaker 6: almost a decade and so yeah, you.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Know, Mascona needed needed some French insight. I was like, hey,
- 2:41Speaker 4: you know what.
- 2:41Speaker 7: So I went to the shall mation. I got you.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Then in the shall mean battlefield. Dude. You know, I
- 2:47Speaker 4: know a little history.
- 2:49Speaker 7: Uh depth.
- 2:50Speaker 6: So we're gonna start doing a Friday segment, Confessions, where
- 2:54Speaker 6: you have to like say something that's you know, I'm
- 2:56Speaker 6: not proud of, like a little unhinged, if you will,
- 3:00Speaker 6: like something where you're like, you know, I've had better
- 3:02Speaker 6: times or you know, just something like that, like do
- 3:05Speaker 6: you have a confession that you would like to share
- 3:07Speaker 6: on Friday? Here as we start this new segment, Confessions,
- 3:12Speaker 6: it starts today.
- 3:13Speaker 7: It starts today. Yeah, we just did it. Yeah, we just.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Do I have a confession?
- 3:22Speaker 4: Man, dude, I have to really think any of.
- 3:24Speaker 6: That, you know, Like a perfect example would have been
- 3:26Speaker 6: like how you acquired your CDs back in the day
- 3:28Speaker 6: from Kmart. Yes, like that, you know, that'd be a
- 3:32Speaker 6: good example of a confession which you I mean you
- 3:34Speaker 6: told us wholeheartedly.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that wasn't the only two. I could definitely tell
- 3:41Speaker 4: you that. That was definitely not the only two. So
- 3:44Speaker 4: there's many more where that came from. I don't know, man,
- 3:48Speaker 4: i'd have to I hate to say this, but I'd
- 3:50Speaker 4: have to be ready for next Friday with that because
- 3:52Speaker 4: I really don't know. There's been a lot of news
- 3:54Speaker 4: there's a lot of those.
- 3:55Speaker 7: Yeah, I just don't want to hear your confession on
- 3:57Speaker 7: Wednesday on AFR, you know what I mean.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, I know what you mean.
- 4:03Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, dev I do have to ask you about.
- 4:07Speaker 7: The Saints schedule.
- 4:08Speaker 6: It was released and we're gonna find out pretty quickly
- 4:11Speaker 6: how improved the New Orleans Saints are. They go to Detroit,
- 4:14Speaker 6: they go to Baltimore to open up the season. Those
- 4:17Speaker 6: are two very physical football teams, both going to be
- 4:20Speaker 6: on the road. But just in the totality of the schedule,
- 4:23Speaker 6: there's good, there's bad, like there is for most schedules.
- 4:25Speaker 7: I really love where after.
- 4:27Speaker 6: You played the Steelers in France, you come back to
- 4:29Speaker 6: a bye week and then two home games. You're not
- 4:31Speaker 6: gonna have to travel for a long time trying to
- 4:33Speaker 6: recover from traveling abroad and going to the game there
- 4:37Speaker 6: in France. And so there's a lot of things about
- 4:39Speaker 6: the schedule that I actually really like.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, it's one of the schedules I've looked
- 4:45Speaker 4: at it like ten different ways, right, of course, Like
- 4:49Speaker 4: the first impression is, Dann, we got to open up
- 4:51Speaker 4: against the you know, the Lions and the Raisins, right, right,
- 4:54Speaker 4: So you're like, that seems pretty tough, which you know,
- 4:58Speaker 4: I like the tasks right away at the gate, you
- 5:01Speaker 4: know you're getting tested. How good is you offense? You
- 5:03Speaker 4: got to go against the Lions.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I love that.
- 5:05Speaker 4: I think the hardest stretch of the season is going
- 5:08Speaker 4: to be after that bye week, after those two games
- 5:10Speaker 4: you talked about, you got to go play at Chicago
- 5:15Speaker 4: at Cincinnati, and then keep in mind's gonna be pretty cold.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I imagine both are maybe not as cold as it
- 5:20Speaker 2: could be, but it's still be cold. And then you
- 5:22Speaker 2: got to host the Packers.
- 5:24Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 4: That's three weeks right there, dude, where like especially like
- 5:28Speaker 4: that part of the season you're gonna find out if
- 5:30Speaker 4: the Saints and business if they not. And then the
- 5:33Speaker 4: other thing is, I like how the Saints division games
- 5:37Speaker 4: worked out. You're only playing two division games in the
- 5:40Speaker 4: first ten weeks and they both at home.
- 5:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 6: Time game is going to be October the fifth Monday
- 5:48Speaker 6: night game against Atlanta.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Yeah, And that's another thing about it, right, So your
- 5:52Speaker 4: two division games, only two in division games in the
- 5:56Speaker 4: first ten games, one of them is a Monday night
- 5:58Speaker 4: football game celebrating the twenty year come back to the Dome.
- 6:01Speaker 4: I mean, everything's kind of laid out to where the
- 6:03Speaker 4: Saints should be to and on a division you know,
- 6:06Speaker 4: comes to the last.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Struture of division games, which it literally.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Is the last stretch. I mean you literally played how
- 6:12Speaker 4: many four out of the last five weeks you play
- 6:15Speaker 4: division games?
- 6:16Speaker 6: Yeah, you go Carolina at Carolina at Tampa, Arizona home
- 6:20Speaker 6: at Atlanta, Tampa Bay at home.
- 6:23Speaker 4: So I mean it's almost like it's crazy how they
- 6:26Speaker 4: set this up with the NFC side, like it's going
- 6:29Speaker 4: to come.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Down to the end of the season. It always does,
- 6:31Speaker 2: and it looks like it did.
- 6:33Speaker 7: Yeah for sure.
- 6:33Speaker 6: I mean last year you had three teams with the
- 6:35Speaker 6: same record. Saints weren't one of them, but you had
- 6:38Speaker 6: three teams with the same record. There was playoff ties
- 6:40Speaker 6: and tie breakers all over the place. And the NFC
- 6:43Speaker 6: South is going to be chaotic all season long. It
- 6:46Speaker 6: typically is, but I think the chaos is going to
- 6:48Speaker 6: be a better version of chaos. It's going to be
- 6:50Speaker 6: organized chaos this year compared to what it has been.
- 6:54Speaker 7: I do expect the Saints to be better.
- 6:56Speaker 6: I think Tampa Bay is going to figure out some
- 6:58Speaker 6: things where we thought they had them figured out last year,
- 7:01Speaker 6: uh Stefanski in Atlanta. I think he realizes what he
- 7:04Speaker 6: has in Vjon Robinson. Quarterback play is going to be
- 7:06Speaker 6: a question there. And then look, Carolina, they won the
- 7:08Speaker 6: division last year. Now, the Saints had a lot of
- 7:10Speaker 6: success against them, but you got to give them their flowers.
- 7:12Speaker 7: They found a way to win the division.
- 7:15Speaker 6: So I think it's going to be a better version
- 7:16Speaker 6: of football, and it is going to go all the
- 7:18Speaker 6: way down to week seventeen eighteen.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Yeah, and then the way the way that found that
- 7:22Speaker 4: was like all those teams, all those division teams, they're
- 7:25Speaker 4: going to be, you know, either in their rhythm by then,
- 7:28Speaker 4: or they're just going to be what they are, you know,
- 7:30Speaker 4: losing losing team. And I don't I don't know, man,
- 7:33Speaker 4: I just feel like the Saints can just hang in
- 7:36Speaker 4: there because it is a tough thought or it just
- 7:39Speaker 4: is I mean, you could easily start zero and two.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Anyway, the raiatest games kind of trappy looking too. But
- 7:47Speaker 4: maybe it's just because I'm looking at the schedule too long.
- 7:49Speaker 4: But I just hate that whole idea of if Mendoza
- 7:52Speaker 4: is playing by that point.
- 7:54Speaker 7: I don't think he will be.
- 7:55Speaker 4: But okay, yeah, I don't.
- 7:57Speaker 7: I think.
- 7:58Speaker 6: I think Kirk Cousins will be there until you know,
- 8:01Speaker 6: week six through eight, So like somewhere in that range.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Dang, that is the insane, man.
- 8:08Speaker 6: I just think you brought him. You brought him in
- 8:10Speaker 6: for that reason. You know, you brought him in for
- 8:12Speaker 6: a purpose. You brought him in to be a guy
- 8:14Speaker 6: that helps Mendoza. You don't throw Mendoza to the fire.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Their offensive lines got more issues in vogue and so
- 8:20Speaker 6: I know you signed Tyler Linnenbaum, but that's that's not
- 8:22Speaker 6: gonna be enough. They've got one of the worst right
- 8:25Speaker 6: tackles in all of football. They're left tackles good when
- 8:27Speaker 6: he plays, but he's always injured. So I think you're
- 8:30Speaker 6: gonna get Kirko changed there in game number three. The
- 8:33Speaker 6: Saints fans are gonna be so fired up that they
- 8:36Speaker 6: gotta wait until September twenty seven to have the first
- 8:38Speaker 6: home game.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'm And honestly, I just I would I
- 8:43Speaker 4: would hate to play Mendoze in that spot, just c
- 8:45Speaker 4: it reminds me of when we played All G three.
- 8:47Speaker 4: It's like the same around the same time when All
- 8:50Speaker 4: G three's rookie year. Yeah, and I don't know, man,
- 8:52Speaker 4: it's just when you don't have no film on a
- 8:54Speaker 4: dude and it's like the first time you're play in him.
- 8:56Speaker 4: I just hate for the same three in that situation.
- 8:59Speaker 4: So I hope, I hope you about the Kirk Cousins thing.
- 9:03Speaker 4: But yeah, man, I see the Saints winning nine games,
- 9:05Speaker 4: nine to ten games.
- 9:06Speaker 6: If it all goes well, Dev, what's the chances that
- 9:10Speaker 6: we see you end up in Paris?
- 9:14Speaker 4: Uh, don't count me out. Don't count me out. I
- 9:18Speaker 4: think it's it's it's it's that of Canton or both, right,
- 9:24Speaker 4: So I just gotta I gotta figure out now to
- 9:26Speaker 4: go out out of country, I'd had to go get
- 9:27Speaker 4: a pass I ain't had a passport since I went
- 9:30Speaker 4: to Banff, Canada in two thousand and five.
- 9:34Speaker 7: I want to say about this Canada trip.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Actually, I wanted like it's I feel like something, Yeah
- 9:40Speaker 6: in my brand, you're going to Canada.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Oh, I remember like it was yesterday. Is back when
- 9:45Speaker 4: my guy berecroying me.
- 9:46Speaker 2: And Fitch was popping and stuff.
- 9:47Speaker 4: So I had to kiss me on my Irish shirt
- 9:49Speaker 4: on on the plane as in the band and the
- 9:52Speaker 4: lady kept bringing me Coca colas and I never I
- 9:54Speaker 4: wasn't finishing my Coca cola. It's just kept bringing them
- 9:56Speaker 4: and I just remember thinking, I was like, why do
- 9:58Speaker 4: you keep bringing me Coca colas? And it build all
- 10:00Speaker 4: of them? I kiss me on my Irish shirt?
- 10:05Speaker 6: How did how did they kiss me on Irish shirt?
- 10:07Speaker 6: How did play out for you?
- 10:09Speaker 4: Okay, no, that's a look. That was a common question
- 10:12Speaker 4: even then. It never played that good, never played no kisses,
- 10:16Speaker 4: no kisses.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I would have remembered it.
- 10:18Speaker 4: So, actually, you know my first kiss I haven't had.
- 10:21Speaker 4: I was actually wearing Sean Sean John.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It goes to show you all that stuff on that.
- 10:29Speaker 6: Yeah, that's true, man, I would love to see a
- 10:32Speaker 6: photo of you in Sewan John.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Oh my god, I'm sure there's one somewhere there is.
- 10:36Speaker 7: There is no doubt about it.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Sean John name Chaine Rockaway pants. That was sal Matte.
- 10:44Speaker 4: That was Matt Dude.
- 10:46Speaker 7: Where where did you go and shall Mette to purchase
- 10:48Speaker 7: said clothing?
- 10:50Speaker 2: Uh?
- 10:50Speaker 4: The place called Bows? Yeah, it's called Bow's. They sold
- 10:54Speaker 4: school uniforms like dickies and stuff like that, and then
- 10:58Speaker 4: they also sold you know, like all the I guess
- 11:01Speaker 4: you would call it designer at that time. I don't
- 11:04Speaker 4: even know if they would call it that. I think, yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 4: you had to get them highlights and aim chain and is.
- 11:11Speaker 7: It still open? Is a place still okay?
- 11:14Speaker 6: I think, see, I know, since you're not doing RB
- 11:16Speaker 6: and R days anymore, and we you know, we see
- 11:18Speaker 6: you doing content all over the place. Now, I think
- 11:20Speaker 6: you need to go in and you need to you know,
- 11:23Speaker 6: do a video, Promote them a little bit, tell them
- 11:25Speaker 6: what they did for you growing up first, kiss the
- 11:27Speaker 6: whole deal.
- 11:28Speaker 7: And that's that's something I would like to see.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 4: No, And look, dude, there was there's a lot of
- 11:33Speaker 4: haters too, you know, but nobody liked dude because I
- 11:37Speaker 4: was one of them bros. Where I was buying jerseys.
- 11:40Speaker 4: You know, I always buying jerseys. That was my thing.
- 11:42Speaker 4: I was always buying jerseys when I was a kid,
- 11:45Speaker 4: whether it's basketball, football. But you know, I had some haters.
- 11:48Speaker 4: A lot of people were in the Abercrombie and I
- 11:50Speaker 4: didn't get insoide till lately to the very end.
- 11:53Speaker 7: Yeah you I mean, look, we're balling on a budget.
- 11:55Speaker 7: Growing up.
- 11:55Speaker 6: You and I a lot of liking that, you know,
- 11:57Speaker 6: in that realm, and so it's okay, Uh, which basketball
- 12:00Speaker 6: Jersey is the one that stands out the most. I
- 12:03Speaker 6: feel like you had the most random New Orleans Hornets
- 12:06Speaker 6: Jersey possible.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Yeah, but I also got the other ones too. So
- 12:10Speaker 4: like when you said when you asked that, the one
- 12:12Speaker 4: that pops in my head was I had a Doctor
- 12:14Speaker 4: Jay Julius Ervin Hardwood Classic.
- 12:18Speaker 2: And when I when.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I think about this, bro, if this is all stuff
- 12:21Speaker 4: that Katrina Tuck, so anything before five, it's gone, so
- 12:26Speaker 4: that them jerseys are gone, which I still had them,
- 12:28Speaker 4: you know, dude, I had Rashid Wilace, Antoine Walker. This
- 12:34Speaker 4: is just the era that that was going on at
- 12:36Speaker 4: the time. Of course I had Baron Davis Allen. Iverson
- 12:40Speaker 4: is back when the Iverson shoes was still some people
- 12:44Speaker 4: all the time. Man, I never had I never seen
- 12:45Speaker 4: a shoe release more that had the world more captivated
- 12:50Speaker 4: than than the ivers It still does that.
- 12:53Speaker 7: He's the answer, no doubt.
- 12:55Speaker 4: I mean, if you didn't have Iverson's bro that you
- 12:57Speaker 4: had to be working on getting them.
- 13:00Speaker 6: See, I thought I thought when you were talking about
- 13:02Speaker 6: you know, you know Hornage Jersey. I gotta be honest
- 13:05Speaker 6: with you, I thought you were going to have a
- 13:06Speaker 6: deep cut like Chris Cayman.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely not. I had to be Diddy. That was
- 13:13Speaker 4: my first one.
- 13:13Speaker 7: Yeah, there's a gold one A goal be Diddy. Yeah,
- 13:19Speaker 7: I figured you might have had one of those.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Well, I've still got the pager heads at my dad's
- 13:24Speaker 4: eves from from the playoffs when they did the page heads.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that was like some of the best markets
- 13:29Speaker 4: in news back when.
- 13:31Speaker 7: They used to win games and go to the playoffs.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Yeah. May made people more creative.
- 13:36Speaker 7: Yeah, we desperately need them to figure it out.
- 13:39Speaker 4: By the way, Yeah, y'all listen to the Drake albums
- 13:42Speaker 4: broad I mean I stayed up late for that.
- 13:45Speaker 7: I am a forty one year old man who knew
- 13:47Speaker 7: I had a morning show to get up for and
- 13:48Speaker 7: another show in the afternoon.
- 13:50Speaker 6: Dev I've got to worry about this first pitch situation.
- 13:53Speaker 6: I gotta do later tonight. So no, I didn't get
- 13:55Speaker 6: a chance to stay up and do that.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Uh.
- 13:57Speaker 6: I'm sure all of my sons did though. So let's
- 13:59Speaker 6: get a review for Where Let You Go.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, loved it. I've only listened to Iceman, but
- 14:05Speaker 4: I mean it was it was classic dude, Like I
- 14:07Speaker 4: wrote down ratings and stuff, you know, Drink's the only dude.
- 14:11Speaker 4: And look, I know this guy's got supporters and haters.
- 14:14Speaker 4: He's the only dude on the planet that can break
- 14:16Speaker 4: the Spotify app and he did it last night. He
- 14:19Speaker 4: didn't even search his name in the in the search ball.
- 14:21Speaker 4: I had to go to YouTube.
- 14:23Speaker 2: But it was awesome, dude.
- 14:25Speaker 4: It really was Iceman's my favorite one, one of them albums.
- 14:28Speaker 4: You know, you can only listen to that when you're
- 14:30Speaker 4: about to make love.
- 14:31Speaker 6: So all right, Dev, well, you know, glad to have
- 14:38Speaker 6: you back on this show. Hopefully I don't have to
- 14:41Speaker 6: see you, you know, elsewhere to get you know, my
- 14:43Speaker 6: whole DeMeo segment in and so glad you golf for
- 14:47Speaker 6: the kids.
- 14:48Speaker 7: Glad you're back on the show and Confessions next Friday.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll be ready for Confessions. And just remember, man,
- 14:56Speaker 4: that was only my first appearance on that other show.
- 14:59Speaker 4: You know, sometimes things just happen, and I think that's
- 15:02Speaker 4: what happens.
- 15:03Speaker 7: All right, All right, well, let us slide this one time.
- 15:05Speaker 7: Let's just don't make it a habit.
- 15:07Speaker 4: No, we won't, All right, y'all, y'all have a go
- 15:09Speaker 4: and take care, all.
- 15:10Speaker 7: Right, you as well.
- 15:11Speaker 6: Our guy Devin snowed aka hold demeyo good enough to
- 15:13Speaker 6: join us every single Friday here on OTB.
- 15:17Speaker 7: All right, we.
- 15:17Speaker 6: Are going to step away in about fifteen minutes from now.

- 18:46Speaker 7: Just about to go too.
- 18:48Speaker 9: I mean, I feel like disappointed. It's not super spicy already.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Think it's not making making your stalk somebody.
- 18:56Speaker 10: I'm a sane individual. I didn't stalk somebody.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Well, I mean you know, I mean, you haysn't crashed
- 19:03Speaker 6: out at like two am.
- 19:05Speaker 8: You see the dude your dainty at some random house
- 19:08Speaker 8: in slide. Oh, come on, you're not gonna look up
- 19:10Speaker 8: where Victoria.
- 19:11Speaker 6: Is at outside outside of making, outside of making your
- 19:16Speaker 6: seven months pregnant wife put together a crib.
- 19:18Speaker 7: What is your other confession?
- 19:19Speaker 9: Okay, so how about how about that we'll go kind
- 19:22Speaker 9: of kind of off of that. I'm not nearly as
- 19:25Speaker 9: handy around the house as y'all make me out to
- 19:27Speaker 9: be outside. Great, Inside, guys, I can't do anything. I mean,
- 19:31Speaker 9: like when it takes me forty five minutes to wash
- 19:33Speaker 9: the dishes, I can do nothing inside.
- 19:36Speaker 10: I have called my dad.
- 19:38Speaker 5: Oh do we make you out to me.
- 19:40Speaker 10: Once a month?
- 19:41Speaker 9: Well, just because like I always talk about like cutting
- 19:43Speaker 9: grass everything. They're like, oh, Tyler probably enjoys doing that. Like, No,
- 19:47Speaker 9: I don't, Like I call my dad all the time.
- 19:48Speaker 9: I try to help me with things and everything. I'm
- 19:50Speaker 9: terrible around the house.
- 19:51Speaker 8: So he built the crib. No, no, no, no, that's
- 19:55Speaker 8: something you gotta do here.
- 19:56Speaker 10: We got the crib. We got the crib.
- 19:58Speaker 7: Wife built the crib.
- 19:59Speaker 10: I don't where we got that from.
- 20:01Speaker 7: Teamwork makes the dream work, right, so we always heard.
- 20:04Speaker 9: I mean it's not man's that's super juicy. I mean,
- 20:06Speaker 9: I'm kind of a very stereotypical white guy. So it's like,
- 20:09Speaker 9: you know, I don't have a ton of like crazy ones.
- 20:12Speaker 9: I can tell you, I get blinding road rage if
- 20:15Speaker 9: I'm in traffic for even two minutes.
- 20:17Speaker 8: I don't know, maybe like a weird thing you do
- 20:19Speaker 8: with food or like.
- 20:21Speaker 10: I can't have any of my food touch whatsoever.
- 20:24Speaker 9: Like if the mashed potatoes touched something else, it doesn't
- 20:26Speaker 9: belong on mashed potatoes. That's a problem for me, very
- 20:30Speaker 9: very OCD when it comes to food.
- 20:32Speaker 7: So you're not t Bob with the amalgamation.
- 20:36Speaker 8: That's how I eat.
- 20:39Speaker 10: Most people do.
- 20:39Speaker 8: I'm like, give me a bull slop, extra, give me
- 20:46Speaker 8: some slop I eat.
- 20:48Speaker 7: I eat one thing at a time, Like if it's
- 20:51Speaker 7: just like a plate of three or four things.
- 20:53Speaker 10: I'm eating, I do that as well.
- 20:54Speaker 9: Next all, Yeah, like if I get a burger at
- 20:57Speaker 9: a restaurant, I'm taking like sip a drink in the
- 21:00Speaker 9: entire burger. Then yeah, like it's not we're not We're
- 21:03Speaker 9: not mixing back and forth.
- 21:05Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm like that a little bit too, which is.
- 21:06Speaker 9: Yeah, like steak, I'm going to steak for sides after
- 21:10Speaker 9: it's always right.
- 21:13Speaker 8: So the rest the rest of the wolf pack is
- 21:15Speaker 8: gonna have to carry the confession.
- 21:17Speaker 7: Look, I got plenty of Stuff's gonna.
- 21:20Speaker 9: Have plenty of stuff to JJ really is kind of
- 21:21Speaker 9: like I'm kind I mean, yeah, just kind of kind
- 21:25Speaker 9: of here hanging out.
- 21:27Speaker 10: Y'all want to know something, I'll.
- 21:28Speaker 6: Tell you, well, I'm gonna do it on Fridays because
- 21:30Speaker 6: I feel like if we do it the last the
- 21:33Speaker 6: last segment of the eight o'clock hour, and then we
- 21:35Speaker 6: go into Dev, like Dev's gonna have some good ones too,
- 21:38Speaker 6: like now that we've warned him and let him know
- 21:39Speaker 6: what it's gonna be.
- 21:40Speaker 7: So I'm looking forward to it.
- 21:42Speaker 8: I like it.
- 21:44Speaker 7: Uh Ta.
- 21:44Speaker 6: Also, I know, besides your confession, you want to give
- 21:47Speaker 6: an early weekend loser, and I feel like this is
- 21:50Speaker 6: two pretty good ones.
- 21:51Speaker 10: Garrick, he go.
- 21:53Speaker 9: If you haven't heard of him, you shouldn't. He's a
- 21:55Speaker 9: young golfer. This is his second PGA championship.
- 21:58Speaker 8: Sorry, Garrett or Garrick.
- 22:00Speaker 5: Garrick like G A R R I C K gark
- 22:05Speaker 5: But Eric.
- 22:06Speaker 9: Yes, Derek, Yes, Derek with a G we can go
- 22:08Speaker 9: that way. This is the second PGA Championship of his career.
- 22:13Speaker 9: He shot three under yesterday, shot a sixty seven would
- 22:16Speaker 9: have been tied with six other people for the lead.
- 22:19Speaker 9: The problem is he got deducted a two stroke penalty
- 22:22Speaker 9: guys because he was late for his tea time.
- 22:24Speaker 10: He was in the early group, by.
- 22:26Speaker 9: The way, It wasn't like he was waiting for other
- 22:29Speaker 9: people to finish and thought they were going to finish later.
- 22:32Speaker 10: He was in the first group. And when he was
- 22:34Speaker 10: interviewed about it, he's.
- 22:34Speaker 9: Like, well, I mean, you know it was it was
- 22:36Speaker 9: seven eighteen, and I got there technically before the clock
- 22:39Speaker 9: showed seven nineteen. But I mean, if they want to
- 22:41Speaker 9: say I'm late, I'm late. I mean, you know it's
- 22:42Speaker 9: probably thirty seconds late.
- 22:44Speaker 10: You're not.
- 22:45Speaker 9: You're not Scottie Scheffler. You know, Roy McElroy, this is
- 22:47Speaker 9: the biggest event you've ever played in. Until he can't
- 22:49Speaker 9: make your damn tea time.
- 22:50Speaker 10: You kidding me?
- 22:51Speaker 9: By the way he's now even now, he's completely collapsed,
- 22:54Speaker 9: like there was a chance he could have been in
- 22:56Speaker 9: the lead.
- 22:58Speaker 10: Like after the first.
- 22:59Speaker 6: Days, me nightmares that I used to have a dream
- 23:02Speaker 6: that I missed the opening kickoff all the time, just
- 23:05Speaker 6: because I was late and they kicked the ball off
- 23:07Speaker 6: and I wasn't there, And I mean just night terrorsts.
- 23:09Speaker 6: I don't I don't have many dreams. I remember having
- 23:12Speaker 6: that one. To be actually late for like something like
- 23:16Speaker 6: that is wildly puzzling, Like that's that's what you do now? Yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 6: and you're late to your tea time? What are we
- 23:25Speaker 6: doing here?
- 23:26Speaker 7: My guy? Set seven alarms if you have to.
- 23:31Speaker 9: The second one just actually got a little bit juicy
- 23:34Speaker 9: Jake this morning. There's actually changing since I told you
- 23:38Speaker 9: so late Tuesday night. Bryce and Kennedy. He's class of
- 23:41Speaker 9: twenty twenty nine, so he'll be a sophomore this year.
- 23:44Speaker 9: Got in some interest from a couple of SEC schools.
- 23:48Speaker 9: Moved from Arkansas to Duncanville to play at Texas Powerhouse
- 23:52Speaker 9: in Duncanville. Guys, obviously he went to Duncanville for football reason, right,
- 23:56Speaker 9: nobody's questioning that.
- 23:58Speaker 10: Bryson went on a podcast and.
- 23:59Speaker 9: Said, Oh, yeah, well we move because it's it's perfect
- 24:02Speaker 9: for my my football career, and you know that's uh,
- 24:05Speaker 9: that's that's something that we wanted to do. Well, folks
- 24:10Speaker 9: and higher ups in high school football saw that podcast
- 24:12Speaker 9: because it's apparently a well known podcast. He has been
- 24:14Speaker 9: ruled ineligible to play in that particular league because he
- 24:20Speaker 9: moved for football reasons. The quarterback has since updated his
- 24:24Speaker 9: Twitter account to show he is now back at Little
- 24:27Speaker 9: Rock Central, removing his association with Duncanville off of his profile.
- 24:31Speaker 9: So he just decided he's going to move back to
- 24:33Speaker 9: Little Rock, stay at Arkansas, play for that high school team,
- 24:36Speaker 9: a team that all of his teammates know.
- 24:38Speaker 10: He did not want to be there.
- 24:40Speaker 9: Like, if this doesn't scream Demond Williams at Washington, I
- 24:43Speaker 9: don't know what does. Yeah, he is now back at
- 24:45Speaker 9: Little Rock Central, not going to Duncanville.
- 24:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 24:47Speaker 6: Man, if you're on a podcast, my guy like you,
- 24:49Speaker 6: you got to be smarter and that you can. You
- 24:51Speaker 6: can't just go out there and say, yeah, I did
- 24:53Speaker 6: it for football reasons. You just you make something up.
- 24:56Speaker 6: You say that your parents got a better opportunity there.
- 24:58Speaker 7: Yeah, you can't.
- 25:00Speaker 4: M hm.
- 25:02Speaker 7: And as wild, I didn't think anybody could actually not
- 25:05Speaker 7: be eligible anymore.
- 25:06Speaker 10: Well, I told you.
- 25:07Speaker 9: I thought he was just gonna fight it, get some
- 25:09Speaker 9: sort of nil lawyer or whatever you want to call it,
- 25:12Speaker 9: and play, because I mean, I imagine rules in Arkansas
- 25:15Speaker 9: and Texas are a little bit different. But I mean,
- 25:16Speaker 9: he'd he's back at Little Rock Central, So something happened.
- 25:20Speaker 9: He didn't like the guy's a four star. I mean
- 25:23Speaker 9: he has multiple sec offers. Yeah, well, I mean look Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Vandy, Miami.
- 25:27Speaker 10: I mean, big dumb programs are recruiting this guy.
- 25:30Speaker 6: M Yeah, you can't be out there telling the truth
- 25:33Speaker 6: about White. I mean, like we all know it's for football,
- 25:35Speaker 6: but it's not good.
- 25:37Speaker 3: All right.
- 25:37Speaker 6: Well, so he's gonna be eligible in Little Rock soon maybe, Yes,
- 25:42Speaker 6: moved back.
- 25:43Speaker 7: That's not gonna be good.
- 25:45Speaker 6: All right, we will step away, and when we come back,
- 25:48Speaker 6: we are going to be joined by L.
- 25:50Speaker 7: S u all American linebacker Wit Weeks right here on
- 25:54Speaker 7: o TV.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Off the bench.
- 25:58Speaker 6: All right, go see our friends over at Emerson Heating
- 26:01Speaker 6: and Air. That website is going to be emsair dot net.
- 26:04Speaker 6: I've been telling you over the last couple of weeks.
- 26:07Speaker 6: They came out to my home and it was such
- 26:09Speaker 6: an easy process. And I had two different air units
- 26:12Speaker 6: with two different issues. The first one was a battery issue.
- 26:16Speaker 6: They came in fixed that three minutes stops. The second
- 26:20Speaker 6: air unit, it was clogged, the drain was not draining.
- 26:22Speaker 6: We had some water back up into the pan. They
- 26:25Speaker 6: came out, quick fix, push it out, ready to go,
- 26:28Speaker 6: three minutes stops. And I'm not just telling you that
- 26:31Speaker 6: that's not lip service, that's just what it was. So
- 26:33Speaker 6: if you want to make sure, because we all know
- 26:35Speaker 6: that heat is coming and you want to make sure
- 26:36Speaker 6: that your unit is working exactly how it's supposed to. Remember,
- 26:40Speaker 6: they have an eighty nine dollars OTV special going on
- 26:44Speaker 6: right now.
- 26:44Speaker 7: You tell them I heard this on OTV.
- 26:46Speaker 6: You're going to get it for eighty nine dollars to
- 26:48Speaker 6: check your unit before the summertime comes. Ems air dot
- 26:52Speaker 6: net two two five two three two three five two
- 26:54Speaker 6: to ems air dot net.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Locked in on LSU Football twenty four to seven. You're
- 27:10Speaker 3: listening to off the Bench.
- 27:23Speaker 7: All right, welcome back in OTV here live from the
- 27:25Speaker 7: Raising Kanes studio.
- 27:26Speaker 6: Excited to catch up with my guy, Wit Weeks. LSU
- 27:29Speaker 6: All American linebackers joins us now with what's going on?
- 27:32Speaker 7: Brother?
- 27:32Speaker 4: How we doing good?
- 27:33Speaker 7: How about yourself doing fantastic?
- 27:35Speaker 6: How'd the lift go this morning? How we feeling after
- 27:38Speaker 6: the lift? You know, summer workouts. I'm sure you're about
- 27:41Speaker 6: to go home maybe for a little bit after school
- 27:43Speaker 6: gets out.
- 27:43Speaker 7: Then you get right back into the grind.
- 27:45Speaker 6: So typically, Wit, this is when the strength coach tries
- 27:48Speaker 6: to you know, hitch into the ground a little.
- 27:50Speaker 11: Bit, right, So we're still actually in discretionary right now.
- 27:54Speaker 11: So we get pretty much the whole month of May off,
- 27:56Speaker 11: and we'll back as the team as the team in June.
- 28:00Speaker 11: So right now, I was just working out with one
- 28:01Speaker 11: of our string coaches, just getting some work in.
- 28:03Speaker 7: Y'all get May off.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Yeah, well we get three.
- 28:06Speaker 11: Weeks so from the in the finals, and then we
- 28:08Speaker 11: come back the week after next.
- 28:10Speaker 6: All right, Well, I'm glad y'all got that kind of
- 28:12Speaker 6: stuff done because typically this is this is back in
- 28:15Speaker 6: the day, this is one of the streams coaches will
- 28:16Speaker 6: try to like tear you all the way down to
- 28:18Speaker 6: the ground, you know, then give you that like ten
- 28:20Speaker 6: days off to try to build you back up. So
- 28:22Speaker 6: I'm glad that y'all have figured it out and gotten
- 28:24Speaker 6: a little smarter than us, meathead.
- 28:26Speaker 7: So that's good to hear.
- 28:27Speaker 11: Yeah, it must be reversed because this is our time off,
- 28:30Speaker 11: and once we come back in June, we're rolling to camp.
- 28:33Speaker 6: Well, man, I think a lot of LSU fans they
- 28:35Speaker 6: were excited with to see you kind of out there
- 28:37Speaker 6: at the very end of spring practice in uniform out
- 28:40Speaker 6: there on the field and you and I have talked
- 28:42Speaker 6: about it so many times, some of the things that
- 28:44Speaker 6: you went through a year ago. And I said it
- 28:46Speaker 6: the other day, I give you so much credit for
- 28:48Speaker 6: going out there and playing in those South Carolina games
- 28:50Speaker 6: the Oklahoma game, knowing kind of what you were going through.
- 28:53Speaker 7: But for LSU fans.
- 28:54Speaker 6: How are we feeling after getting out on the grass
- 28:57Speaker 6: for a couple of practices there in spring practice and
- 29:00Speaker 6: being smart about your rehab?
- 29:03Speaker 11: Yeah, for me personally, I meant getting those reps was
- 29:05Speaker 11: huge for NAT than the spring because it really just
- 29:07Speaker 11: gave me the confidence to know that I can do it,
- 29:09Speaker 11: because really, this is the best in my ankles felt
- 29:12Speaker 11: since sophomore year. It was a bit of a struggle
- 29:15Speaker 11: for me last year, but got some stuff cleaned up
- 29:18Speaker 11: in January, so now I'm ready to roll again.
- 29:21Speaker 6: And obviously ready to roll with your guy, Blake Baker.
- 29:23Speaker 6: I know what y'all's relationship is, and you know, it
- 29:26Speaker 6: looked like there for a little bit maybe he was
- 29:28Speaker 6: going to be a head coach somewhere and we were hoping. Man,
- 29:31Speaker 6: I wanted for him, I really did, but I'm like, also,
- 29:33Speaker 6: I want him to be here at LSU.
- 29:36Speaker 7: He wants to be here as well, and I.
- 29:37Speaker 6: Think he showed you that by staying here as a
- 29:40Speaker 6: defensive coordinator. And again, like I know you're here, he's here,
- 29:44Speaker 6: y'all wanted to be here together. What is that relationship
- 29:46Speaker 6: like for you and having him back for another year?
- 29:50Speaker 2: I and that's my guy right there.
- 29:53Speaker 11: We're really just like best friends. But he's also also
- 29:57Speaker 11: the DC, so that it's so much fun to play
- 29:59Speaker 11: with a guy who just has the same energy that
- 30:02Speaker 11: I do, and he brings so much dunes to the
- 30:04Speaker 11: building every single day and he's just so much fun
- 30:06Speaker 11: to be around and to play football for.
- 30:09Speaker 6: And well, there's a lot of continuity with the defense now.
- 30:12Speaker 6: On offense, obviously, I know there's a ton of new faces.
- 30:14Speaker 6: There's gonna be a lot of new players over on
- 30:16Speaker 6: that side of the football, and look, there should be
- 30:18Speaker 6: like there's a reason why you have a brand new
- 30:20Speaker 6: staff on that side. But for the defense, there's gonna
- 30:23Speaker 6: be a lot of the same faces. Now you're gonna
- 30:25Speaker 6: have some new and you and I have talked about
- 30:26Speaker 6: those new players, and I want you to talk about
- 30:28Speaker 6: that here in a second. But what does it mean
- 30:30Speaker 6: for you to not only have Blake Baker bag. But
- 30:32Speaker 6: to have a lot of the defensive staff, to have
- 30:35Speaker 6: guys like DJ Pickett to Marcus Cooley, PJ Woodland, you
- 30:39Speaker 6: know Devine Keys who I know you're close with, they're
- 30:41Speaker 6: in the linebacker room. All of those guys kind of
- 30:43Speaker 6: coming back and the defense is going to have, you know,
- 30:46Speaker 6: a familiar nature with everybody kind of coming back and
- 30:50Speaker 6: you know, really saying, Okay, let's go run this back.
- 30:51Speaker 6: Let's have coaches, let's have players, and let's have a
- 30:54Speaker 6: defense that was really good.
- 30:55Speaker 7: A year ago.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Right.
- 30:57Speaker 11: I think I think having those veterans plus all the
- 31:00Speaker 11: coaches coming back, it just allows our defense to keep evolving.
- 31:04Speaker 11: This spring, we added so much new stuff into our defense,
- 31:07Speaker 11: a couple of new schemes that we put in a
- 31:10Speaker 11: lot more three down. So it's it's really it's it's
- 31:14Speaker 11: cool to see how this this defense has evolved from
- 31:17Speaker 11: Baker's first year going into his third year.
- 31:21Speaker 7: What is some of that? Like, what is some of that?
- 31:23Speaker 6: Because I think last year with we did see like
- 31:27Speaker 6: that Blake was able to certainly implement the things that
- 31:30Speaker 6: he wanted to and the aggressive nature and people coming
- 31:33Speaker 6: from all directions and you never really knew who is
- 31:36Speaker 6: going to add themselves to the blitz? Is it things
- 31:38Speaker 6: like that? Now that the system is fully implemented into
- 31:42Speaker 6: the team, like you just expect to see more and
- 31:44Speaker 6: more as every year goes by, exactly.
- 31:47Speaker 11: And at the end of the day, it comes down
- 31:49Speaker 11: to trust, because Baker trusted us to know everything that
- 31:52Speaker 11: we need to know, and then us trusting Baker that
- 31:54Speaker 11: when he makes a call, let's go out there and
- 31:56Speaker 11: execute it.
- 31:58Speaker 7: Well.
- 31:58Speaker 6: Now IM going to ask you about the temp of
- 32:00Speaker 6: the offense that you're gonna be facing every single day
- 32:02Speaker 6: as well with and it is one that is going
- 32:05Speaker 6: to be as fast as any team in the country.
- 32:07Speaker 6: It is one you've played against multiple times there, but
- 32:10Speaker 6: now you're gonna get a chance to see it every
- 32:12Speaker 6: single day and practice. And so for you not only
- 32:14Speaker 6: getting a chance to go out there at the end
- 32:16Speaker 6: of spring, but watching spring practice and seeing your defensive
- 32:19Speaker 6: brethren kind of go against this offense every single day,
- 32:23Speaker 6: what has that change kind of been like for you?
- 32:26Speaker 11: There is absolutely zero rest. You don't even get to
- 32:30Speaker 11: catch your breath once practice starts. You're rolling for a
- 32:33Speaker 11: solid two hours with no breaks. And for me, I
- 32:36Speaker 11: got I was able to get a couple of racks
- 32:38Speaker 11: of seven on seven towards the end of spring, and
- 32:40Speaker 11: even seven on seven is tempo, so there really is
- 32:43Speaker 11: no rest. I mean you can get your pass drop,
- 32:46Speaker 11: you know, sett off off the quarterback, break on the ball,
- 32:48Speaker 11: and immediately spring back to your spot to get lined
- 32:51Speaker 11: up for the next play.
- 32:53Speaker 6: Catching up with LSU linebacker. What weeks here on OTB.
- 32:58Speaker 6: Give us some names though with some of the guys
- 33:00Speaker 6: maybe because look, there is so much new on this offense.
- 33:03Speaker 6: Really there's only a handful of guys. You know, you
- 33:06Speaker 6: got trade As and the running backs coming back and
- 33:08Speaker 6: Braileen more guys like that coming back bow borderline. But
- 33:11Speaker 6: for a large majority of it, it's going to be
- 33:13Speaker 6: a new face and a new place. What are some
- 33:14Speaker 6: of the names that stood out to you during spring practice?
- 33:19Speaker 11: I mean, as far as Dolphins to goes, dolphinsive line
- 33:21Speaker 11: is standing out to me for sure. I mean, thou
- 33:24Speaker 11: Bordal on that left guard, that dude's been balling him
- 33:26Speaker 11: and him and Jordan's seating on the same side. That's
- 33:28Speaker 11: a nasty combo right there. And then you got Braylan
- 33:30Speaker 11: who he's a veteran and I mean he can just
- 33:33Speaker 11: control that offensive line and make all the calls, do
- 33:35Speaker 11: do everything you need a center to do. And I've
- 33:38Speaker 11: been really impressed with our receivers as well. Winnie Watkins
- 33:40Speaker 11: has been making a lot of plays. And then the
- 33:42Speaker 11: quarterbacks we didn't get to see stand, but I thought
- 33:44Speaker 11: the quarterbacks towards the end of spring really started to
- 33:47Speaker 11: They really started to kind of understand the scheme and
- 33:49Speaker 11: understand where to go with the ball and not try
- 33:51Speaker 11: to make not try to make superhero plays and just
- 33:53Speaker 11: make plays that make plays that the defense has given them.
- 33:57Speaker 6: We don't want to ask you about a guy that
- 33:59Speaker 6: every time that's somebody went to practice or every report
- 34:01Speaker 6: that I got back, his name was mentioned, and that
- 34:04Speaker 6: is Dylan Jones at the running back position coming over
- 34:07Speaker 6: from Wisconsin. That we know Harlan Barry cad and Durham
- 34:09Speaker 6: going to be there as well. But certainly running back
- 34:12Speaker 6: by rotation has worked well in LSU's history. Kind Of
- 34:15Speaker 6: give us a book maybe on Dylan Jones at the
- 34:17Speaker 6: running back position.
- 34:18Speaker 11: Yeah, that dude's a tank and he was coming off
- 34:21Speaker 11: an injury last year, so he really wasn't even one
- 34:24Speaker 11: hundred percent this spring and for him to go out
- 34:25Speaker 11: there and play like that. That's promising for us as
- 34:28Speaker 11: a team.
- 34:30Speaker 6: All Right, one other thing that we have found out
- 34:33Speaker 6: over the last couple of days. LSU Clemson going to
- 34:35Speaker 6: be under the lights in the real Death Valley. We
- 34:37Speaker 6: all know that, but also College Game Day has announced
- 34:40Speaker 6: that they're going to be at the game. It was
- 34:42Speaker 6: so much yeah, I mean so much anticipation, right, I mean, look,
- 34:46Speaker 6: this is why you go to LSU. I remember, like
- 34:49Speaker 6: when you got the targeting call against Florida, which I
- 34:51Speaker 6: still don't think was targeting. I was like, man, that's
- 34:54Speaker 6: bs because you only get so many of those moments
- 34:57Speaker 6: in that stadium, under the lights, primetime game against the
- 34:59Speaker 6: team you don't like very much. So I hated the
- 35:02Speaker 6: fact that that game got taken away from you. But
- 35:04Speaker 6: now here we are, you're going to get a chance
- 35:06Speaker 6: the first game of this year to be able to
- 35:08Speaker 6: go out there against Clemson, the.
- 35:10Speaker 7: Whole Death Valley, This, that and the other.
- 35:12Speaker 6: But just with all the new with Lane Kiffin being
- 35:15Speaker 6: the head coach, what does that mean to you as
- 35:17Speaker 6: a player to be on the biggest stage from week
- 35:19Speaker 6: number one?
- 35:21Speaker 11: Well, like you said, you don't get these opportunities many
- 35:24Speaker 11: times in life. I only get to play seven games
- 35:27Speaker 11: in Death Valley for the rest of my life, so
- 35:29Speaker 11: I really just got a cherish every moment that I
- 35:31Speaker 11: get in that stadium. And when you do get to
- 35:33Speaker 11: play a school like Clempton at night, college game day,
- 35:37Speaker 11: first week of the season. I mean, those are the
- 35:40Speaker 11: games that you that when you're sitting here in May
- 35:42Speaker 11: working out, that's what you're thinking of, that's in the
- 35:44Speaker 11: back of your mind. That's what I'm working towards right there,
- 35:47Speaker 11: is to win those type of games and that type
- 35:49Speaker 11: of moment on the biggest stage in college football.
- 35:53Speaker 6: It certainly is going to be that. I got to
- 35:55Speaker 6: ask you since I have you here obviously we know
- 35:58Speaker 6: you know Wes. Your brother was ONEAM last year. Zachier
- 36:00Speaker 6: brothers on the team this year for a guy, Wes Weeks.
- 36:03Speaker 6: He's up there in Indy with my guy, Shane Steich,
- 36:05Speaker 6: and I've known Shane forever, Like well, the report's been
- 36:09Speaker 6: from big brother in the NFL.
- 36:11Speaker 4: He's loving it. He's loving it.
- 36:13Speaker 11: I mean, I hardly ever get to talk to him
- 36:15Speaker 11: because every time I try to call him, he's in
- 36:17Speaker 11: the facility.
- 36:17Speaker 4: He says, he's literally in there.
- 36:19Speaker 11: From sun up to sundown, right. He told me it's
- 36:21Speaker 11: pretty much just like a fall camp up there right now.
- 36:24Speaker 4: But he's liking it.
- 36:24Speaker 11: I mean, he's liking all the dudes, liking the coaches,
- 36:27Speaker 11: and he says he's been getting some good reps and
- 36:29Speaker 11: playing good ball. So I'm excited for him.
- 36:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I am too. I think it's a great opportunity
- 36:33Speaker 7: for him.
- 36:33Speaker 6: And again, I think that's a really good coaching staff,
- 36:35Speaker 6: and I think he's going to have a real good
- 36:37Speaker 6: chance to be able to go out there be a
- 36:38Speaker 6: special team's war daddy from day number one and get
- 36:41Speaker 6: on that roster. All right, what about little brother? I
- 36:43Speaker 6: gonna ask you about him as well. You know, obviously
- 36:46Speaker 6: y'all got a chance to all play on the field
- 36:48Speaker 6: last year, which was a very cool moment.
- 36:50Speaker 7: How is Zach ben? How's that development going?
- 36:53Speaker 11: Zach impressed me a lot to spring. His development from
- 36:57Speaker 11: from last year until this year has been has been
- 36:59Speaker 11: on believable to me. I mean, he's he's definitely I
- 37:02Speaker 11: would give him the most Improved Award for this spring.
- 37:04Speaker 11: He's been playing really good football. So if he can
- 37:07Speaker 11: put together a really good summer okas, and then put
- 37:09Speaker 11: together a really good fall camp. He'll be able to
- 37:11Speaker 11: get out there on Saturdays and contribute for us.
- 37:13Speaker 7: Well what created me? If I'm wrong? If I remember
- 37:16Speaker 7: this right?
- 37:16Speaker 6: Like technically, like he should just now be a freshman, right,
- 37:20Speaker 6: didn't he graduate high school early?
- 37:21Speaker 7: Okay?
- 37:22Speaker 6: Yeah, So it's probably no surprise to you that you're
- 37:24Speaker 6: seeing that growth in that development in his game exactly.
- 37:28Speaker 11: But it's even more surprising because usually what I've seen
- 37:32Speaker 11: since I've got to college is that growth happens from
- 37:35Speaker 11: happens from your freshmore freshman to sophomore year. I mean,
- 37:38Speaker 11: for him, this is his freshman to sophomore year, but
- 37:40Speaker 11: really it's it's his freshman year of college all over
- 37:43Speaker 11: again because he's so young.
- 37:46Speaker 7: All right there, he is our guy.
- 37:47Speaker 6: Wit weeks good enough to join us here on ot
- 37:50Speaker 6: B with always a pleasure, my man.
- 37:52Speaker 7: Enjoy what you know.
- 37:54Speaker 6: It's considered some free time, even though you're still there
- 37:56Speaker 6: in the weight room before everything gets going here in
- 37:59Speaker 6: a couple of weeks. Forward to seeing you over there
- 38:01Speaker 6: on the ponder Rosa and enjoy the last couple of
- 38:04Speaker 6: weeks of freedom here before we get going.
- 38:07Speaker 11: Aw appreciated, good talking to you as well.
- 38:10Speaker 6: Week's good enough to join us here on ot B
- 38:13Speaker 6: looking forward to seeing what that defense looks like. He
- 38:15Speaker 6: gave you some names to pay attention to there on offense.
- 38:18Speaker 6: And one thing that he said that really kind of
- 38:21Speaker 6: stood out to me, like this team and this staff
- 38:23Speaker 6: loves Bo Borderline. He mentioned him at left guard. I
- 38:28Speaker 6: think he's going to have an opportunity to start on
- 38:30Speaker 6: this football team. When you go to our Lads, my
- 38:32Speaker 6: favorite website for depth charts, he is the starting left guard.
- 38:35Speaker 6: Right now, you're gonna have some competition. It's gonna be
- 38:39Speaker 6: good competition, which this team desperately needed on the offensive line.
- 38:42Speaker 6: But when a defensive leader team captain mentions your name,
- 38:46Speaker 6: that tells me that right now you're the leader in
- 38:47Speaker 6: the clubhouse.
- 38:49Speaker 9: You know, I came me to here out there that
- 38:50Speaker 9: first scrimmage and talked about, you know, the offensive line
- 38:53Speaker 9: didn't look great. Bo Bordeline was not on that starting
- 38:56Speaker 9: O line at that point. Really, since they made that
- 38:58Speaker 9: switch right after, the talk has been kind of reversed,
- 39:01Speaker 9: and it's man, the offensive line looks so good.
- 39:03Speaker 10: They have such cohesion. Sometimes one switch does that for you, because.
- 39:06Speaker 9: Like, what are they talk about, Jake. It's not always
- 39:08Speaker 9: the best five. It's the five that play the best
- 39:10Speaker 9: together in that boat. Borderline. He's been there and done
- 39:13Speaker 9: that is multi year what fourth fifth year here at LSU.
- 39:17Speaker 7: Right, you're a senior, Yeah yeah, So I mean he's.
- 39:19Speaker 9: A guy that knows this program well then. Yet all
- 39:21Speaker 9: accounts is he has that a great spring all.
- 39:24Speaker 6: Right, and we certainly appreciate what for hopping on with
- 39:26Speaker 6: us again. Uh, getting him back on the field and
- 39:29Speaker 6: having him fully healthy is as important as anything for LSU.
- 39:33Speaker 6: The defense is just different when he's in there. We
- 39:35Speaker 6: saw it last year. He brings a juice, he brings
- 39:38Speaker 6: a little level of ability that nobody else in that
- 39:41Speaker 6: room really has. And so glad to hear that he's
- 39:44Speaker 6: feeling healthy. He said, his ankle feels the best that
- 39:46Speaker 6: it has in two years, and he's able to go
- 39:48Speaker 6: out there and get in the end of spring practice.
- 39:50Speaker 6: All right, we will step away one final time here.
- 39:53Speaker 6: We're going to wrap it up like we do every
- 39:55Speaker 6: single day. Answering your questions can get to a little
- 39:59Speaker 6: asked the Bench brought to you by Ice Cold Dosseki's

- 41:01Speaker 6: on that you'll know exactly what we're talking about when you.
- 41:03Speaker 7: Work with them.
- 41:04Speaker 6: Go to the website today, that's g c op net
- 41:06Speaker 6: dot com.
- 41:16Speaker 3: From the locker room to the airwaves, it's off the
- 41:18Speaker 3: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 41:24Speaker 12: Wis, same old line, too young, will you like?
- 41:39Speaker 8: I said, just for Cat Wis.
- 41:44Speaker 7: It's the best.
- 41:45Speaker 6: Shoes all right, Welcome back in oh t Well, I
- 42:01Speaker 6: asked the bench. Brought to you by dose Sekis. It
- 42:04Speaker 6: is always a great time. Airport beer, hanging out, watching
- 42:08Speaker 6: a little baseball, beer, shower beer, crawfish boiled beer.
- 42:14Speaker 7: Anybody else got another one? There you go.
- 42:20Speaker 5: It's a good one, old rock and chair beer.
- 42:23Speaker 7: It's always going to be do Sekis.
- 42:24Speaker 6: Go for dose playing right now, currently is in an
- 42:28Speaker 6: airport and now Betty's going for dose. Give no rouses
- 42:32Speaker 6: still doesn't have my high.
- 42:33Speaker 7: On cell because that's crazy.
- 42:35Speaker 8: I just got another picture, yeah of rouses that does
- 42:39Speaker 8: not have my high.
- 42:41Speaker 6: And clean it up, Bud, clean it up. Hashtag ask
- 42:44Speaker 6: the bench. How many vacation days do y'all get? I'm
- 42:46Speaker 6: thinking about applying. I don't know how many I started with,
- 42:51Speaker 6: but they always roll.
- 42:51Speaker 8: Over, not like a lot of the times.
- 42:55Speaker 7: That we're taking. Yeah, dude, my first six years in
- 42:59Speaker 7: the company, I didn't take a vacation.
- 43:00Speaker 8: Yes, most of the time we're out, we're not really
- 43:03Speaker 8: taking a vacation we're working.
- 43:07Speaker 6: I told Flynn on the way out of the building yesterday,
- 43:10Speaker 6: I said, you know what, I'm thinking about taking a
- 43:12Speaker 6: vacation coming up, and one where I don't work the
- 43:14Speaker 6: other job too. Yeah, like, because usually when I'm not here,
- 43:18Speaker 6: I'm working the draft or the combine or whatever.
- 43:20Speaker 1: What.
- 43:20Speaker 7: Right, So oh fly fishing beer, good call. He'll be
- 43:25Speaker 7: doing that too. He's definitely gonna be doing that. Hashtag
- 43:29Speaker 7: ass a bench. Is Jake excited for tonight? I am?
- 43:31Speaker 6: I am really excited. I'm like, I don't have any
- 43:33Speaker 6: nerves about the actual pitch. It's either gonna be good
- 43:36Speaker 6: or bad. There's only two outcomes, right, So I'm more
- 43:39Speaker 6: nervous about, like the logistics of it.
- 43:41Speaker 7: We'll figure that part of it out. Got a lot
- 43:43Speaker 7: to do today before I get there.
- 43:45Speaker 6: But I'm more nervous about the logistics and the actual pitch.
- 43:50Speaker 6: I mean, look, Lh's got the most wild pitches and
- 43:52Speaker 6: almost the most walks they've ever had, So what's one
- 43:54Speaker 6: more than.
- 43:55Speaker 10: You'll fit right in on the stop? You might be
- 43:57Speaker 10: a middle reliever.
- 44:00Speaker 6: Oh man, nookie? Should I get a Lady of the
- 44:04Speaker 6: Night from my birthday? I wouldn't do that.
- 44:06Speaker 7: Why not?
- 44:07Speaker 10: No, are you married?
- 44:08Speaker 9: If the answer is yes, is your wife okay with it?
- 44:11Speaker 9: If they answer to that is yes, then absolutely.
- 44:13Speaker 7: I would not do that.
- 44:16Speaker 8: I think it's your birthday. You do whatever you want. Man.
- 44:18Speaker 6: That's the bench which NFL flower is from? NFL logos
- 44:22Speaker 6: from a flower?
- 44:23Speaker 8: The Saints from Florida.
- 44:25Speaker 9: It does kind of look like a logos from an
- 44:29Speaker 9: if I had to guess the Saints.
- 44:31Speaker 10: Somebody asked the question yesterday and they never gave us
- 44:33Speaker 10: the answer.
- 44:35Speaker 8: What was it?
- 44:36Speaker 6: We did mention it's Nookie's birthday. We already did about
- 44:38Speaker 6: Laura Rutless stuff. We said happy birthday.
- 44:41Speaker 9: Yeah, it was Uh, which which four major sports teams
- 44:45Speaker 9: had the Minneapolis We didn't get the answer.
- 44:48Speaker 6: To get the answer, Uh yes, So Taylor said, vacation
- 44:52Speaker 6: days does not cap out.
- 44:53Speaker 7: You can move five of those over. I got a
- 44:55Speaker 7: lot of them, got a lot of them built up.
- 45:02Speaker 6: Uh hashtag assadventure. Are you gonna do the gator chop
- 45:06Speaker 6: into a throat slash? I thought about it, but since
- 45:09Speaker 6: we're bad, I can't. If we were, if this is
- 45:11Speaker 6: last year, they're kicking.
- 45:13Speaker 7: Me off the mountain.
- 45:14Speaker 8: Yeah, it might be bad taste to throat slash at solely.
