- 0:14Speaker 2: This is the best of Stugatz and Company live on
- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Mikey A, it is rare here where we start the
- 0:23Speaker 1: show with breaking news. You have some breaking news though
- 0:26Speaker 1: from Adam Schefter.
- 0:27Speaker 3: What are you hearing here? What are you reading?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Coming in about 15, 20 minutes ago, breaking further testing
- 0:33Speaker 4: today revealed giants quarterback Jackson darts knee injury is worse
- 0:38Speaker 4: than initially thought. And the team and dart are now
- 0:42Speaker 4: facing the possibility of season ending knee surgery. According to
- 0:47Speaker 4: ESPN of all the quarterback injuries suffered in week two
- 0:51Speaker 4: darts is turning out to be easily the most significant.
- 0:56Speaker 1: That should read that the Giants fans are now and
- 0:58Speaker 1: the Giants organization is now staring at Jameis Winston as
- 1:01Speaker 1: their starting quarterback for the remainder of the season for
- 1:04Speaker 1: the rest of the year. That is terrible news because
- 1:07Speaker 1: they got off to a good start. Jackson Dart was
- 1:09Speaker 1: being it looked like through week one that he was
- 1:12Speaker 1: running in a way that was more responsible. He wasn't running.
- 1:15Speaker 1: He was just playing quarterback. And the idea that people
- 1:18Speaker 1: tell him, hey, stop running.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Don't do this. Don't do that.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Injuries can happen on any play in the NFL, and
- 1:23Speaker 1: unfortunately it happened to the Giants' young quarterback, and that
- 1:26Speaker 1: stinks for the New York Giants and their fan base.
- 1:29Speaker 5: I hate this part about football because when you're watching
- 1:31Speaker 5: that game on Monday Night Football, The injury looked bad
- 1:35Speaker 5: at the time, and when he's limping off the field,
- 1:37Speaker 5: you're like, oh no, you're just thinking the worst, and
- 1:40Speaker 5: you're hearing the reports coming out saying maybe two to
- 1:43Speaker 5: four weeks, the trainer lip read four to six weeks,
- 1:47Speaker 5: and nothing really matched up with the eye test to
- 1:50Speaker 5: what you thought you saw on the football field.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Yes, but John Harbaugh's face, like he was out there,
- 1:55Speaker 1: he looked very, very concerned.
- 1:57Speaker 3: It looked like.
- 1:58Speaker 1: If you were just looking at John Harbaugh's face, you
- 2:01Speaker 1: were looking at a man who thought his quarterback was
- 2:03Speaker 1: out for the season, no?
- 2:05Speaker 5: Yeah, and now you could do the thing saying, like,
- 2:08Speaker 5: where do the Giants turn from here? Is it Jameis Winston?
- 2:11Speaker 5: Do you get New England on the phone and try
- 2:13Speaker 5: to make a call for Tommy DeVito? I kind of
- 2:17Speaker 5: like that option. I kind of like Tommy DeVito.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Do you really?
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm concerned for Cam Scadaboo because Jackson Dart is his
- 2:23Speaker 1: best friend.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I mean, they're inseparable. I don't know if Cam Scadaboo is.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Going to be able to handle the news. But I
- 2:29Speaker 1: have a good candidate for the Giants quarterback. How about
- 2:32Speaker 1: you reunite John Harbaugh with Joe Flacco?
- 2:36Speaker 3: How about that? Huh?
- 2:38Speaker 6: Yes.
- 2:41Speaker 5: So I'm at the point where.
- 2:42Speaker 3: You don't like it.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Any option you give me maybe outside of tommy devito
- 2:47Speaker 5: tommy devito was the only one that kind of sparked
- 2:49Speaker 5: a little light bulb above my head right when i
- 2:51Speaker 5: mentioned that possible uh reconnection of him going back to
- 2:54Speaker 5: jersey if you're a giants fan today you could spin
- 2:58Speaker 5: this however you want with whatever option you want your
- 3:01Speaker 5: season's over essentially your season is over with this jackson
- 3:04Speaker 5: dart injury.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Um is the season over do you guys not trust
- 3:08Speaker 1: jamis winston is that the problem it's.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Not that I don't trust Jameis Winston. It's just, we
- 3:14Speaker 4: all know what Jameis Winston is going to be. He's
- 3:16Speaker 4: a rollercoaster. He's going to be, he's going to make
- 3:18Speaker 4: some throw and it's not even game to game. It
- 3:21Speaker 4: is literally play to play, throw to throw. Jameis Winston
- 3:25Speaker 4: will make throws every, in any given day that make
- 3:28Speaker 4: you go, that's why he was the first overall pick
- 3:30Speaker 4: way back when that's what they saw in him in
- 3:32Speaker 4: Florida state.
- 3:33Speaker 6: And then the very next play, two plays later, 10
- 3:36Speaker 6: plays later, he's.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Going to make such a boneheaded throw where you go,
- 3:40Speaker 4: why would you even attempt to make that throw?
- 3:43Speaker 6: Right?
- 3:43Speaker 3: Probably not good enough.
- 3:44Speaker 1: If he's starting the remainder of the game for the
- 3:46Speaker 1: giants this season, they're probably not going to be good
- 3:48Speaker 1: enough to make the playoffs, but I don't think giant
- 3:50Speaker 1: fans were expecting to make the playoffs before the season started.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Is the Giants season over? I guess it is. If
- 3:56Speaker 3: Jackson Dart is out for the year, yeah, I guess
- 3:58Speaker 3: the season's kind of over.
- 3:59Speaker 5: And especially after that week one performance where you're coming
- 4:02Speaker 5: off that emotional high of beating the rival Cowboys, where
- 4:05Speaker 5: Giants fans have been a laughingstock in the NFL the
- 4:09Speaker 5: past couple of years, and finally you get that result
- 4:12Speaker 5: beating the Cowboys, and you're saying, okay, maybe things are changing.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Maybe Harbaugh is changing the culture right away from week one.
- 4:19Speaker 5: And you get the disappointment last night on top of
- 4:21Speaker 5: the fact that now your potential franchise quarterback is potentially
- 4:26Speaker 5: done for the season.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it stinks. I like Jackson Dart.
- 4:30Speaker 1: The reason I'm bummed today, and I shouldn't be really
- 4:32Speaker 1: that bummed, is I enjoy watching Jackson Dart play. I
- 4:35Speaker 1: think Jackson Dart is going to be an incredible quarterback,
- 4:38Speaker 1: and so I'm kind of bummed, even as a Jet fan,
- 4:41Speaker 1: because I was excited for the Giants and their fan
- 4:43Speaker 1: base because they have the coolest thing in sports, a young,
- 4:46Speaker 1: cool quarterback with a great personality.
- 4:51Speaker 6: I'm going to be the one to do it, right?
- 4:52Speaker 6: It's going to be me.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I'm going to do it.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Is Jackson Dart injury prone? Are we done trusting Jackson Dart?
- 5:02Speaker 4: When you go into next year, if he has now
- 5:04Speaker 4: missed two full seasons almost, are we now going into
- 5:09Speaker 4: next year saying, well, they got Jackson Dart?
- 5:11Speaker 3: Right, and I'll take it one step further.
- 5:13Speaker 1: If the Giants tank the rest of the year with
- 5:15Speaker 1: Jameis Winston as their quarterback, are they going to take
- 5:17Speaker 1: Arch Manning in the draft?
- 5:18Speaker 3: How about that?
- 5:18Speaker 6: All right. eli might have something to say yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Eli would be happy i mean uncle eli i.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Don't think so what do you mean i don't think
- 5:25Speaker 4: so why go somewhere else and make your own that's
- 5:28Speaker 4: my team that's my that is i already planted the
- 5:31Speaker 4: manning flag in new york you go elsewhere.
- 5:36Speaker 5: But if you are a giants fan you have to
- 5:38Speaker 5: be rooting for a potential arch manning reunion because then
- 5:41Speaker 5: you could just you could just tape that second number
- 5:44Speaker 5: on the jersey and your old Eli Manning jerseys go
- 5:48Speaker 5: right back into use. But I think it is a
- 5:51Speaker 5: bit unfair to say Jackson Dart is injury prone just
- 5:54Speaker 5: because of how much of a freak injury yesterday was
- 5:57Speaker 5: like jackson dart didn't put himself in a bad situation
- 6:00Speaker 5: that injury.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Could happen to any quarterback in the nfl at any
- 6:03Speaker 1: time in any game in any moment it just happens
- 6:05Speaker 1: it's a it's a brutal game they're playing out there
- 6:08Speaker 1: and people get hurt i mean.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I agree i agree with you i'm not trying to
- 6:12Speaker 4: say he's injury prone but i am saying he's two
- 6:14Speaker 4: for two right he's two for two he's had two
- 6:16Speaker 4: seasons he's had two season ending injuries in two seasons
- 6:21Speaker 4: At some point, you got to go, can we count
- 6:23Speaker 4: on him next year? When we go, oh, all the hype.
- 6:27Speaker 4: We got this guy. We brought in this coach. All
- 6:29Speaker 4: these things are going well for us as the New
- 6:31Speaker 4: York Giants. And our quarterback is Jackson Dart. Are you
- 6:34Speaker 4: really going? Yeah, that's our quarterback for 17 games.
- 6:37Speaker 6: I can't.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I think if you're a Giants fan, you have to
- 6:40Speaker 5: spin zone yourself into the idea of Jameis Winston, where
- 6:45Speaker 5: yesterday looked like Jameis Winston was had no plans of
- 6:49Speaker 5: ever playing in an NFL game again.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Why would he?
- 6:51Speaker 5: The second he got there, he was all wide-eyed and like,
- 6:55Speaker 5: he didn't look like a quarterback that was prepared. He
- 6:57Speaker 5: looked like a quarterback that was just thrown into the game.
- 6:59Speaker 5: So now that you're going into week three saying, Winston
- 7:03Speaker 5: is our starting quarterback, maybe Winston prepares better. It's a
- 7:07Speaker 5: bit unfair of me to say that Winston wasn't prepared
- 7:10Speaker 5: as a quarterback, but after what we saw last night,
- 7:13Speaker 5: I actually don't think it's that unfair.
- 7:14Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 7:16Speaker 1: When.
- 7:18Speaker 6: When the Giants play the Commanders, it's Winston versus Mariota.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Oh, wow. Blast from the past.
- 7:25Speaker 6: The first and the second pick of that draft.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Wait, as a Giant fan, though, what are you rooting for?
- 7:31Speaker 1: Like a magical season at this point, right? Because Jackson
- 7:34Speaker 1: Dart is done. Are you rooting for some sort of
- 7:36Speaker 1: magical season with Jameis Winston? hoping he can carry you
- 7:40Speaker 1: into the playoffs and keep the momentum going with John
- 7:42Speaker 1: Arbaugh as his quarterback? Or are you now rooting for
- 7:45Speaker 1: them to be as bad as possible to get a
- 7:47Speaker 1: higher draft pick?
- 7:48Speaker 3: What are you rooting for as a giant fit?
- 7:52Speaker 6: I think you're rooting.
- 7:53Speaker 4: I think you're rooting for Jameis Winston to carry you
- 7:57Speaker 4: into some sort of playoffs, or at least in the conversation.
- 8:00Speaker 6: You're hoping for more good Jameis than bad Jameis.
- 8:03Speaker 4: And I don't think, That team is going to with
- 8:07Speaker 4: that coach and Jameis Winston's highs. I don't think they're
- 8:11Speaker 4: going to ever be bad enough to be talking about.
- 8:15Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 8:16Speaker 5: I would be rooting for a high pick just to
- 8:19Speaker 5: add to this core. But I do think the giant
- 8:22Speaker 5: fan has been so lousy for so long recently, especially
- 8:27Speaker 5: when they come in with expectations of like what Giants
- 8:29Speaker 5: football can be. I think the Giants fans right now
- 8:32Speaker 5: are just rooting for competent football, and it seems like
- 8:35Speaker 5: that's what you're at the very least going to get
- 8:37Speaker 5: with Harbaugh.
- 8:37Speaker 1: You know, you talk about Jameis Winston, and he didn't
- 8:39Speaker 1: look very prepared last night. I don't think Jameis at
- 8:42Speaker 1: this point in his career wants to be prepared or
- 8:44Speaker 1: wants to prepare. I think he is fine being the
- 8:47Speaker 1: most popular guy in the locker room, delivering nothing but
- 8:50Speaker 1: positivity and great pregame speeches.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I think this is something that Jameis Winston did not want.
- 8:56Speaker 1: He didn't want another chance to prove that he could
- 8:58Speaker 1: be a great quarterback in the NFL. He just likes
- 9:00Speaker 1: that everyone in the locker room loves him, and now
- 9:03Speaker 1: he's been thrown into action here where he actually has
- 9:05Speaker 1: to study game film, which is something I don't believe
- 9:08Speaker 1: Jameis Winston wants to do. I think the Giants might
- 9:10Speaker 1: have to be in the market for a new quarterback.
- 9:12Speaker 3: How about that? Yeah.
- 9:14Speaker 4: He was enjoying the podcast game and I get it.
- 9:18Speaker 3: He was.

- 9:46Speaker 1: Bobby Skinner, the host of Giants Nation, the Giant Nation podcast,
- 9:51Speaker 1: is going to join us coming up next. Will Stein,
- 9:53Speaker 1: the head coach of Kentucky football, going to join us
- 9:55Speaker 1: in the 4 o'clock hour as well. But Mikey Taylor
- 9:57Speaker 1: has a couple of NFL questions for us.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Are you ready?
- 10:01Speaker 3: I love it. What do you have for us?
- 10:03Speaker 6: This is what I wait all year for.
- 10:04Speaker 3: What, NFL questions? From Taylor. Just from Taylor, right. Go ahead, Taylor.
- 10:10Speaker 3: What do you have for us?
- 10:12Speaker 5: So there are seven teams currently at 0-2. So my
- 10:15Speaker 5: question for you guys, which 0-2 team should feel the
- 10:19Speaker 5: worst about themselves today? There's the Chargers, the Texans, the Falcons,
- 10:24Speaker 5: the Dolphins, the Titans, the Buccaneers, and the Colts.
- 10:27Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So it feels like an obvious answer to me, Mikey.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I don't know about you. For me, it would be
- 10:31Speaker 1: the Houston Texans, right?
- 10:33Speaker 3: I mean....
- 10:35Speaker 4: Um, I mean, yeah, it's, it, it hasn't been good
- 10:38Speaker 4: for Houston. Um, you're, you're counting on that defense becoming
- 10:43Speaker 4: what it was last year. At this point though, it's
- 10:46Speaker 4: time to let, like, let's see it.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Uh, the chargers is a very easy answer for me.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Uh, you didn't just lose, you lost at home to
- 10:56Speaker 4: two teams that we go, we went into the season
- 10:59Speaker 4: thinking would be fighting for, uh, maybe the top draft pick.
- 11:03Speaker 6: Right.
- 11:03Speaker 1: So you think the Chargers are the team that's 0-2
- 11:06Speaker 1: that is the most disappointing? I think it's the Texans
- 11:08Speaker 1: only because everyone says to me it's not the Titans.
- 11:11Speaker 3: It's none of those teams.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Maybe the Buccaneers would be in the mix in terms
- 11:14Speaker 1: of teams that started 0-2 that should feel bad about it.
- 11:17Speaker 1: But when you're talking, you know, when everyone's telling us, hey,
- 11:19Speaker 1: championship defense and C.J. Stroud is playing OK, I'd be concerned.
- 11:24Speaker 3: With the Texans being 0-2. It's just me.
- 11:27Speaker 6: Okay, but let me just throw this at you.
- 11:29Speaker 4: At the Bills, at the Seahawks, home against the Broncos,
- 11:33Speaker 4: at the Chiefs, at the Rams, against the Texans, at
- 11:37Speaker 4: the Ravens. Where do you see a win in there
- 11:40Speaker 4: for this Justin Herbert-led Los Angeles Chargers?
- 11:43Speaker 6: I don't.
- 11:44Speaker 3: I mean, maybe they're marching for Arch. How about that?
- 11:47Speaker 5: So can I make the argument for some of the
- 11:49Speaker 5: teams that you guys didn't mention? Because I think you
- 11:52Speaker 5: can make an argument for almost any team at 0-2
- 11:55Speaker 5: for who should feel the worst about themselves.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Not all of them.
- 11:57Speaker 5: The Colts, you're 0-2, and when you're so bad, you
- 12:02Speaker 5: have the life raft of, okay, at least we're going
- 12:04Speaker 5: to get a good pick out of this. The Colts
- 12:06Speaker 5: do not have that, that life raft because of the
- 12:08Speaker 5: sauce Gardner trade in a first round pick coming back
- 12:11Speaker 5: to the jets.
- 12:11Speaker 6: Yes.
- 12:11Speaker 3: They thought they were a cornerback away.
- 12:13Speaker 6: They weren't. I'll make an argument for another team.
- 12:18Speaker 4: The Tennessee Titans, you might be awful and you might
- 12:22Speaker 4: not have a quarterback. Like, you used the number one
- 12:26Speaker 4: overall pick on Cam Ward, and he has not played
- 12:29Speaker 4: anything like even Tyler Shuck, who was.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Picked in the second round of that draft.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a totally fair point because you can, listen,
- 12:37Speaker 1: if you're a Titans fan, you'd be okay being 0-2
- 12:41Speaker 1: as long as you saw some progress from Cam Ward.
- 12:44Speaker 3: You haven't seen anything from Cam Ward. Nothing.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Nothing that would give you any sort of proof that
- 12:49Speaker 1: this guy is going to be a long-term answer at
- 12:51Speaker 1: the quarterback position for them.
- 12:53Speaker 5: And I feel like you could even strengthen the argument
- 12:55Speaker 5: even further by reminding Titans fans, Robert Sala is your
- 12:58Speaker 5: head coach.
- 13:02Speaker 3: What's your next question for us?
- 13:05Speaker 5: Which 2-0 team do you trust the least? So the
- 13:08Speaker 5: 2-0 teams are the Bills, the Bengals, the Raiders, the Chiefs,
- 13:14Speaker 5: the Eagles. The Vikings, the Seahawks, and the 49ers.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Most people would say the Raiders. I'm not so certain
- 13:19Speaker 1: it is the Raiders. 2-0 teams that you trust the least.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Wow, that's a good question.
- 13:26Speaker 4: While you look at it and think, I'm going to
- 13:28Speaker 4: say I'm most people.
- 13:30Speaker 6: It's the Raiders. Congratulations, you beat Miami.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Maybe Los Angeles isn't as good as we thought, but
- 13:38Speaker 4: you're still a ways away from being a legit contender,
- 13:42Speaker 4: especially in a division with the Chiefs and the Broncos.
- 13:48Speaker 4: But I like what I'm seeing out of the Raiders.
- 13:51Speaker 4: I think they're on a good trajectory, but they're not
- 13:54Speaker 4: a threat.
- 13:55Speaker 1: All right, I'm going to go Minnesota Vikings here. Kyler
- 13:57Speaker 1: Murray's hurt. Carson Wentz, the quarterback. They're in a tough division.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Their next three games, though, are fairly easy. So now
- 14:03Speaker 1: I'm starting to think about it.
- 14:05Speaker 3: They have Miami.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Well, the Saints is not easy. And then they're home
- 14:09Speaker 1: against the Colts. But I don't trust that team. I
- 14:11Speaker 1: don't trust that coach. I don't trust that quarterback, Carson Wentz.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And I don't trust Kyler Murray when he comes back
- 14:16Speaker 1: as well. So I'm going to say the Minnesota Vikings.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Mikey, I think the Raiders is the popular pick, but
- 14:21Speaker 5: I'm kind of with Stu here because I think it
- 14:23Speaker 5: kind of just boils down to, Who do you trust more,
- 14:26Speaker 5: Carson Wentz or Kirk Cousins? And I think the Raiders
- 14:30Speaker 5: have kind of proved why you go out and get
- 14:32Speaker 5: a Kirk Cousins because he could go out and win
- 14:35Speaker 5: you games that you really don't have any business winning.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Right, as long as they're in the playoffs.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Sure, he can win you seven or eight games.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but he won too early. And as long as
- 14:42Speaker 1: they're in the hunt, they're not going back to Mendoza.
- 14:46Speaker 3: So for me, I don't know. It's Minnesota.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I can tell you the 0-2 team that I feel
- 14:50Speaker 1: best about. And that's the Dolphins. The Dolphins are doing
- 14:53Speaker 1: exactly what the Dolphins are supposed to do, and they
- 14:56Speaker 1: should feel great about their 0-2 start.

- 15:31Speaker 1: enough trips to plan for the remainder of the college
- 15:33Speaker 1: football season.
- 15:35Speaker 7: One.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Just do one. Just do one. I said I'd go
- 15:39Speaker 1: to Memphis. I forget the other place we committed to.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Somewhere in Texas or Oklahoma. Where are we going?
- 15:45Speaker 6: Oklahoma State.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Still water. Go Pokes.
- 15:49Speaker 5: Yes.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Find a Thursday Kentucky game we can go to so
- 15:51Speaker 1: we don't miss the rest of the college football weekend.
- 15:54Speaker 3: We like to play.
- 15:54Speaker 6: You don't play on Thursdays.
- 15:57Speaker 3: We like to play a game around here. If the
- 15:59Speaker 3: season ended today, Mikey A is the host of this game.
- 16:02Speaker 3: We will get to it in a second.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Mikey A, do you remember why and how we started
- 16:07Speaker 1: if the season ended today?
- 16:08Speaker 3: I have no idea. I can't remember.
- 16:11Speaker 6: Two words, Billy Gill.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Oh, that's right.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Because he always liked to discuss, if the season ended today,
- 16:17Speaker 1: what the playoff matchups would be.
- 16:19Speaker 3: So with that being said, let's get to it, Mikey.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Okay, I'm going to start this week in the NFC.
- 16:25Speaker 4: In the NFC, if the season ended today, the Minnesota
- 16:29Speaker 4: Vikings are the number one seed.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Wow. They get a bye.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Wow.
- 16:34Speaker 3: If the season ended today, would Kevin O'Connell be coach
- 16:36Speaker 3: of the year? Possibly. I mean, a one seed with
- 16:40Speaker 3: Carson Wentz? If the season ended today, of course.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Well, if the season ended today, your first playoff matchup
- 16:49Speaker 4: in the NFC would be the Chicago Bears led by Tyson.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Bajan against the Seattle Seahawks.
- 17:00Speaker 3: If it were a playoff game, he'd be healthy enough
- 17:02Speaker 3: to play. Come on. I don't know.
- 17:06Speaker 6: He might have stepped on a Lego.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Stop that.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Bajan versus Drew Locke sounds like my worst nightmare of
- 17:12Speaker 5: the game.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Wait, give me the matchup again.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Chicago versus Seattle. Bajan versus Drew Locke.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Oh, my God. But that's only if the season ended today.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I got to tell you, that's a playoff game I
- 17:23Speaker 1: wouldn't watch just because of the quarterbacks.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Yes, you would. How about this?
- 17:29Speaker 6: Your second matchup.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Yeah, we didn't discuss who would win that game, though.
- 17:32Speaker 3: I mean....
- 17:34Speaker 6: Who wins between Tyson Bajan and Drew Locke?
- 17:38Speaker 3: We all lose. Next game.
- 17:42Speaker 4: The Detroit Lions at the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 17:46Speaker 3: What a great game. Welcome back to the playoffs, Detroit Lions.
- 17:49Speaker 6: That's a great game. That might be your Sunday nighter.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Yes, it might be. Wow, what a great game that
- 17:57Speaker 3: would be. I would take the Eagles to win that.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts is on a mission this year to prove
- 18:01Speaker 3: that he doesn't need A.J.
- 18:02Speaker 6: Brown or anyone else.
- 18:05Speaker 7: Taylor?
- 18:06Speaker 6: Taylor?
- 18:07Speaker 3: The Eagles too. He forgot how to play.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I also take the Eagles, but it's got nothing to
- 18:12Speaker 4: do with him. Your last matchup in the NFC, right?
- 18:15Speaker 4: Would be the San Francisco 49ers traveling cross country to
- 18:20Speaker 4: take on the NFC South winning Carolina.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Wow. What a game.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Wow. Yes.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Christian McCaffrey returns to Carolina.
- 18:28Speaker 6: Yes.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Revenge game.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Waiting.
- 18:32Speaker 3: So in this scenario, if the season ends today, the
- 18:34Speaker 3: Rams are not making the playoffs, right?
- 18:36Speaker 6: Rams didn't make the playoffs.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Wow.
- 18:38Speaker 6: I mean, there's a lot of tiebreakers in there as
- 18:40Speaker 6: to why, but we don't get it.
- 18:41Speaker 3: So it was the field. It was the field. I
- 18:47Speaker 3: would take Carolina just because I love Carolina. They're entertaining.
- 18:50Speaker 3: And I want to see Carolina go to a Superbowl.
- 18:52Speaker 3: I do. I really do.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Carolina in the upset.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Yep.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Wow.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I've got, I've got the 49ers, the 49ers right now
- 18:58Speaker 5: are my dark horse Superbowl.
- 19:00Speaker 6: Right.
- 19:00Speaker 5: But it considered a dark horse.
- 19:01Speaker 3: No. Well, I think before the season started, yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Before the season started, they were a dark horse just
- 19:07Speaker 1: based on the division they were in with Seattle, with
- 19:09Speaker 1: the Rams, but now no longer a dark horse.
- 19:11Speaker 3: They had beaten the Rams.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 5: And it feels like they almost have too much talent
- 19:16Speaker 5: and too many big names to be considered a dark horse. Like,
- 19:19Speaker 5: You have Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy, George Kittle. Like, you're
- 19:22Speaker 5: not really a dark horse at that point.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Debo, yes. Debo's back.
- 19:27Speaker 1: But if Carolina gets past that game, just based on
- 19:30Speaker 1: the injuries to the cornerbacks, they have a shot.
- 19:32Speaker 3: They do. Just wanted to throw that in there.
- 19:37Speaker 5: What?
- 19:38Speaker 6: The Super Bowl? Yeah, why not? The NFC.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Special agent Drew Locke.
- 19:43Speaker 6: I mean, they have a chance. Carson Wentz.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yeah, Carson Wentz. What a terrible NFC playoff. Oh my God.
- 19:50Speaker 6: I haven't even gotten to the AFC yet.
- 19:54Speaker 5: If we are at radio row, this super bowl.
- 19:56Speaker 6: Yes.
- 19:57Speaker 5: And the Carolina Panthers are in the super bowl.
- 19:59Speaker 6: Yep.
- 19:59Speaker 5: You guys have my word. I will do the entire
- 20:02Speaker 5: week of shows in a full Panthers costume. Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Let's see who they're going to play because I might
- 20:10Speaker 3: not go. Okay.
- 20:13Speaker 6: It's a, it's a, it's a trip to Los Angeles.
- 20:15Speaker 6: You're going to go in the AFC. Your number one
- 20:17Speaker 6: seed surprise, surprise, the Kansas city chiefs. Welcome back.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Yup.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Now they're back. They're officially back.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Yes.
- 20:25Speaker 6: Your first matchup, the New York jet.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 20:30Speaker 6: At the Buffalo bills.
- 20:33Speaker 3: All right the chiefs get the uh the bye week
- 20:35Speaker 3: so it's jets at bills divisional matchup josh allen trying
- 20:41Speaker 3: to win that elusive super bowl ring oh wow.
- 20:47Speaker 5: And you would figure at this point that it's tough
- 20:49Speaker 5: to beat a team three times you would almost assume
- 20:51Speaker 5: that the bills won the first two matchups i've got
- 20:53Speaker 5: this spread at about minus 19.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Bills yeah and i would take the jets i would
- 20:57Speaker 1: take the jets to win the game outright how about
- 20:59Speaker 1: that yeah I have the jets advancing.
- 21:05Speaker 6: Give me play off Josh Allen and the jets advance.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I would love that.
- 21:09Speaker 4: God, the jets are making your next matchup. The new
- 21:13Speaker 4: England Patriots at the Cincinnati bangles with that defense.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Wow. So Joe Brown gets in, he has a defense.
- 21:22Speaker 3: He has two great wide receivers. The Patriots are the Patriots.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I would take Cincinnati in that game because the Patriots
- 21:28Speaker 1: are a good team, but they're boring Cincinnati.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Good team.
- 21:31Speaker 6: Exciting.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Give me good team.
- 21:33Speaker 6: Exciting. Every single time.
- 21:35Speaker 5: So I would pick the pats here, but this is
- 21:38Speaker 5: a matchup of two quarterbacks that have made it to
- 21:40Speaker 5: a Superbowl that people are looking at them now and saying,
- 21:43Speaker 5: I might be the only time you make it to.
- 21:44Speaker 7: A Superbowl or that three AFC East teams, by the way,
- 21:51Speaker 7: it was a lousy one headed into the season, but
- 21:53Speaker 7: if the season ended today, it might be the best
- 21:55Speaker 7: division of football.
- 21:56Speaker 6: There you go.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:58Speaker 6: Uh, Last playoff matchup.
- 22:00Speaker 4: If the season ended today, the Las Vegas Raiders are
- 22:04Speaker 4: on the road.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Wow.
- 22:07Speaker 6: At the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Wow.
- 22:10Speaker 1: So Kirk cousins, because if they make the playoffs, Kirk
- 22:14Speaker 1: cousins is going to be the quarterback.
- 22:15Speaker 6: Correct?
- 22:17Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, it would stand to reason if they
- 22:20Speaker 3: make the playoffs.
- 22:21Speaker 6: Right. Well, if the season ended today, he is.
- 22:24Speaker 3: He is the starting quarterback.
- 22:25Speaker 6: You're right.
- 22:25Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Mikey. I got ahead of myself.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:28Speaker 5: This matchup has Texans 4 p.m. on Saturday. TJ Yates
- 22:33Speaker 5: has the quarterback window written all over.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Yeah, no doubt. It has those kind of vibes.
- 22:37Speaker 6: You're right about that.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Just like trying to sneak it out.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 6: Yes. Quickly, speaking of the Houston Texans, if the season
- 22:44Speaker 6: ended today.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:45Speaker 6: They're on the clock.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Number one pick.
- 22:48Speaker 6: Number one pick for Houston, Texas.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Wow, you put Arch Manning with that defense?
- 22:52Speaker 7: Listen, thankfully, we have 15 more weeks of this crap.
