- 1:08Speaker 1: He came up with a pretty good question. So I'll
- 1:10Speaker 1: I'll give you about ninety seconds. Maybe remember what your
- 1:13Speaker 1: question was about l shut.
- 1:15Speaker 3: And Saints and what would you give up?
- 1:18Speaker 1: And I'll remind our friends about Oshna Oshna so many
- 1:21Speaker 1: locations across I've see the Greater Batonarige area all throughout Louisiana.
- 1:26Speaker 1: And the one that we've been talking about then highlighting
- 1:29Speaker 1: is their orthopedic clinic over there at Elite Training Academy.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It is a full orthopedic clinic. Walkins are welcome as well,
- 1:35Speaker 1: no appointment needed. It's gonna be an incredible rehab facility
- 1:39Speaker 1: for you as well. But they can deal with strains, springs,
- 1:44Speaker 1: even acltaires they can deal with And so if you
- 1:47Speaker 1: want to learn more information about Aushton, you got to
- 1:49Speaker 1: Auchin dot org. If you want to learn more about
- 1:50Speaker 1: the orthopedic clinic that we're talking about, go to Oshner
- 1:54Speaker 1: dot org slash b our Ortho oshner dot org slash
- 1:57Speaker 1: b our Ortho. I mean, state of the art, every bell,
- 2:00Speaker 1: every whistle, incredible physicians right there on the Elite Training
- 2:04Speaker 1: Academy campus over on Burbank in Baton Rouge.
- 2:09Speaker 3: All right, Matthew, let's see if you remember, Yeah, we were.
- 2:13Speaker 1: You formed it really well during the break.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Thank you, Thank you so much.
- 2:16Speaker 5: You know, the end of the end of the hour,
- 2:19Speaker 5: talking the last couple of seconds about Saints in the
- 2:22Speaker 5: magical run that they went on in the Drew Brees era.
- 2:26Speaker 5: We just showed you that clip of Drew Brees on
- 2:29Speaker 5: the Kelsey Brothers their podcast telling the the great story
- 2:33Speaker 5: about how he made his decision seemingly not going to
- 2:38Speaker 5: the perfect fit and going to the team that became
- 2:42Speaker 5: perfect for him. Right now, it is one of the
- 2:46Speaker 5: most you can do this. You can go back in
- 2:49Speaker 5: history and do like revisionist history, the Butterfly fact. Look
- 2:53Speaker 5: at what happened if this would have that, like if
- 2:56Speaker 5: this happened on every Wednesday. Yeah, it's it's really it's
- 3:01Speaker 5: kind of fun to think about. But this for Louisiana sports,
- 3:04Speaker 5: especially in football, it's one of the biggest decisions kind
- 3:09Speaker 5: of ever made that formed the basically shaped college and
- 3:14Speaker 5: pro football for the next fifteen years. Really, So, of
- 3:18Speaker 5: course Saban was in Miami when Drew Brees was making
- 3:22Speaker 5: his decision, So play the what if game? What if
- 3:25Speaker 5: he does go to Miami? I would venture to guess
- 3:29Speaker 5: that Saban never leaves Miami, or at least at that time,
- 3:32Speaker 5: and does not become the head coach of Alabama. So
- 3:37Speaker 5: what happens to LSU football at that time? Certainly you
- 3:40Speaker 5: got to say we probably win in eleven, we probably
- 3:43Speaker 5: get different recruits. So I started forming the question of
- 3:49Speaker 5: Louisiana football fans, not just Saints fans, not just LSU fans,
- 3:53Speaker 5: Louisiana football fans, people that love the Saints and love
- 3:58Speaker 5: the Tigers. If you had to go back and do
- 4:01Speaker 5: it all over again, would you sacrifice the Saints getting
- 4:05Speaker 5: Drew Brees for Saban never showing up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama?
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yeah, because you asked the question, Because then it brings
- 4:16Speaker 1: up a couple of things. If the Saints don't get breeze,
- 4:20Speaker 1: do they win a championship. The likelihood of that is
- 4:23Speaker 1: no right now, Sean Payton's a great football coach.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Look at what he's doing in Denver.
- 4:29Speaker 1: He would have had success, but would have been Super
- 4:31Speaker 1: Bowl success because going back to our earlier conversation, they
- 4:35Speaker 1: still only won the one, even with Drew Brees Hall
- 4:38Speaker 1: of Famer, first ballot, without a question, hall of Famer.
- 4:43Speaker 3: So you don't know, we don't think so maybe not,
- 4:45Speaker 3: probably not.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And then for Nick Saban, if he doesn't find his
- 4:48Speaker 1: way to Tuscaloosa.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Could pretty much we guarantee eleven wins.
- 4:53Speaker 1: We beat Alabama all four years that I was in
- 4:55Speaker 1: school in all five years you were in school.
- 5:00Speaker 3: L she was owning Alabama at that time.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And if Nick Saban's not in the way, else you
- 5:06Speaker 1: have two more championships.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Yeah, you could, like you could make the argument for
- 5:11Speaker 5: sure eleven. But after that, how many how many recruits
- 5:13Speaker 5: did we lose Alabama?
- 5:14Speaker 3: How many?
- 5:15Speaker 5: Like just how much Comedyrus was destroyed here? Yeah, the
- 5:22Speaker 5: presence of Saban for twelve years? Yeah, that's crazy. So
- 5:30Speaker 5: I'm gonna say, you know, maybe two three. But whatever
- 5:33Speaker 5: it is, I don't know what it is, but I
- 5:36Speaker 5: think in the chat here, ye have, We're take Drew
- 5:39Speaker 5: Brees all the time, for sure.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I think the answers Drew Brees, yeah, all.
- 5:42Speaker 6: And I said Drew Brees, Yeah, I.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Think I think the answer is just like it played
- 5:47Speaker 1: out beautifully. Yeah, but the question, like.
- 5:49Speaker 6: You know, it's fun to entertain, for sure.
- 5:51Speaker 1: She won a championship with coach Miles. Yeah, and they
- 5:54Speaker 1: also won one with coaches. The Saints hadn't won anything
- 5:58Speaker 1: before or after mm hmm.
- 6:00Speaker 6: They started calling it Saints BB and Saints ABY in
- 6:04Speaker 6: the chat, like Saints before Breeze, Saints after Brees.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I was growing up, it's called the Aints.
- 6:09Speaker 6: Yeah, they still call it that.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 6:17Speaker 6: I'm taking Drew Brees. I feel like LSU's tenure even
- 6:22Speaker 6: and I one hundred percent agree with you that, Like
- 6:24Speaker 6: if Nick Saban never went to Alabama, obviously things would
- 6:27Speaker 6: be a lot different. But I feel like LSU did
- 6:30Speaker 6: well enough for me to be like, yeah, I'm taking.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Drew all right, let me pose another question. I agree
- 6:36Speaker 5: with you that Drew Brees is is is the answer?
- 6:40Speaker 5: But it was a over a decade of terrorizing us. Yes,
- 6:50Speaker 5: Drew Brees never coming or Nick Saban never leaving.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Let's see you sacrifice Drew Brees coming for Saban never
- 7:00Speaker 3: leaving l s U.
- 7:01Speaker 6: Isn't that the same question?
- 7:02Speaker 1: No? No, because he just tried to find a way
- 7:04Speaker 1: for him not to get to Alabama.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Okay, Okay, they staying at LSU. So if he say
- 7:10Speaker 6: that LSU, Drew Brees never comes here, right.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Yep, that's the question I'm pussing'd you take?
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but it.
- 7:16Speaker 6: Feels like the same answer, doesn't. No, not the same,
- 7:20Speaker 6: but it feels like basically it feels like the same exercise.
- 7:23Speaker 1: There's a lot of people that believe that if coach
- 7:25Speaker 1: Saban would have been at l s U, they would
- 7:28Speaker 1: have been what Alabama is.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Yes, and I get that.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Like so like, but seven national championship of six in
- 7:35Speaker 1: Alabama maybe in one here six there.
- 7:39Speaker 5: I think at that point you started thinking, all right, well,
- 7:41Speaker 5: if we could do a decade and a half of.
- 7:45Speaker 3: That and replicated at LSU, maybe start.
- 7:50Speaker 5: So that's it is a tougher question because you don't
- 7:53Speaker 5: in my first question, you don't know how good l
- 7:54Speaker 5: s you would have been. You get at least one,
- 7:57Speaker 5: but you have to think l s U with all
- 7:58Speaker 5: the resources, if you stayed here, you're getting like Alabama, Dad,
- 8:02Speaker 5: you're getting six or seven?
- 8:04Speaker 3: Right, that's the better question. I don't think. I don't
- 8:12Speaker 3: think that's the same scenario. No, it's not. I don't
- 8:14Speaker 3: think it is.
- 8:16Speaker 6: I kind of get what you like one hundred percent
- 8:18Speaker 6: get what you're saying.
- 8:21Speaker 1: So you're talking about I'll throw it five national championships
- 8:25Speaker 1: or one or one super Bowl? I was still taking
- 8:29Speaker 1: a super Bowl?
- 8:30Speaker 3: Are you.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Well?
- 8:32Speaker 6: Because then okay, so I yeah, I mean it is
- 8:35Speaker 6: like I get what you're saying.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It is hard for you to take that. LSU want
- 8:39Speaker 1: two after that? Yeah, out of your brain a little bit.
- 8:42Speaker 1: They won two less lesson coach O one one, So
- 8:45Speaker 1: it's two championships.
- 8:47Speaker 2: M h.
- 8:50Speaker 3: M hmm. That's a good question. Is five national championships
- 8:58Speaker 3: better than one Super Bowl?
- 8:59Speaker 1: I don't know, Like I'm going back and forth because
- 9:02Speaker 1: it would be cool as hell to win.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Five, but I think I'm still going and like I grew.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Up obviously, like you know, I don't. I grew up
- 9:12Speaker 1: a Saints fan. But when you play for somebody else,
- 9:14Speaker 1: like it changes you a little bit. But I still
- 9:16Speaker 1: like remember how rough Like I listened to the radio
- 9:19Speaker 1: every Sunday, no matter where we were listen to every
- 9:22Speaker 1: Saints game and like, never thought it would be possible
- 9:25Speaker 1: for the Saints to win a Super Bowl, Like I.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Wish I could have experienced it as like a true fan.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I was already playing at the time, and so like
- 9:34Speaker 1: you still appreciate it because you're from Louisiana, but you know,
- 9:37Speaker 1: like if it would have happened in two thousand and five. Oh,
- 9:40Speaker 1: I remember watching them the NFC championship game against the Bears.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I thought that was utopia and they got their butts
- 9:44Speaker 3: kicked that game.
- 9:46Speaker 6: But then you got a thing. Okay, so we get
- 9:48Speaker 6: five Natties, right, Well, then do we still get Joe Burrow?
- 9:51Speaker 1: I was just about to say, like, and then you
- 9:53Speaker 1: have to look at those national championship teams like the
- 9:55Speaker 1: two that LSU won in two thousand and seven. That
- 9:58Speaker 1: was the wildest year of college football in the history.
- 10:00Speaker 1: It will never be topped, and LSU is always going
- 10:03Speaker 1: to be on top of the wildest year of college
- 10:05Speaker 1: football ever. Yeah, and then you're gonna have the greatest
- 10:08Speaker 1: college football team of all time in twenty nineteen.
- 10:11Speaker 3: I'll be honest with you.
- 10:12Speaker 1: And this sounds like a meathead, which I am so
- 10:14Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't know how many national championships
- 10:18Speaker 1: it would take for me as a fan, not a player,
- 10:20Speaker 1: but as a fan, to trade in for twenty nineteen.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it'd be a lot.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It takes a lot of national championships because those championships,
- 10:28Speaker 1: as many as it was, they don't get talked about
- 10:31Speaker 1: like twenty nineteen does.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Yeah that it's true, Like if.
- 10:38Speaker 6: You have all these teams been great all the time,
- 10:41Speaker 6: is twenty nineteen if you still have that same team
- 10:42Speaker 6: the greatest team.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Of all time?
- 10:44Speaker 5: Yeah, but people are always going to talk about the
- 10:46Speaker 5: run that Alabama had. It's a yeah, kind of like
- 10:49Speaker 5: the Patriots. The Patriots run is the greatest run of
- 10:52Speaker 5: all time.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Right, you're like you But the Savy two Dolphins get
- 10:56Speaker 1: talked about because they're the only undefeated team. So it's
- 10:58Speaker 1: two different conversations. They both get talked about. To your point,
- 11:01Speaker 1: which one do you want to be talked about?
- 11:02Speaker 6: I guess do you want to have a dynasty or
- 11:04Speaker 6: do you want to have like a Saints legendary like
- 11:07Speaker 6: an LSU dynasty, or do you like a Saint's legendary
- 11:11Speaker 6: story that is Drew Brees and I think like the
- 11:13Speaker 6: story behind Drew Brees and everything like that and what
- 11:16Speaker 6: he meant to New Orleans at the time, and the
- 11:19Speaker 6: Butterfly fight, all that that we've been talking about. To me, like,
- 11:23Speaker 6: in my opinion, LSU's again, their run throughout these years
- 11:28Speaker 6: has been okay enough or good enough for me to
- 11:31Speaker 6: be like, no, I think I'm gonna take Drew Brees
- 11:33Speaker 6: over it, right, And.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Look, obviously LSU has had a hell of a run. Yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 1: dynasty in and of itsellf.
- 11:41Speaker 6: But like it'd be a dynasty dynasty.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It's nothing like Alabama's run. Yeah, it's not five or
- 11:48Speaker 1: six of them in ten years, it'd be a dynasty dynasty.
- 11:53Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I mean I still think LSU is just
- 11:57Speaker 6: like very iconic and the brand is just like still we.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Should ask we should ask Falcons fans, would you give
- 12:05Speaker 5: up Kirby Smart Georgia National Championship to win a Super Bowl?
- 12:10Speaker 5: What's better five Georgia National Championships or one Falcon Super Bowl.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Twenty eight to three non collapse? Ooh, that's the goe.
- 12:21Speaker 1: We know any Falcons fans, T Bob, Yeah, then he
- 12:29Speaker 1: came back.
- 12:31Speaker 6: I don't think I know any Falcons fans.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I'm racking my brain. Yeah, I don't know any Roddy Jones.
- 12:37Speaker 3: That's the only one I know. Yeah, Matt Ryan, who else?
- 12:43Speaker 3: Ask Titans fans?
- 12:45Speaker 6: I don't know Titans fans.
- 12:48Speaker 1: No, I mean Falcons is the right one because of
- 12:50Speaker 1: Kirby at Georgia fans. Now you got some Bamon and
- 12:53Speaker 1: Falcon fans too, Bamas kind of split between Saints and Falcons. Yeah.
- 12:58Speaker 6: And if we have Nick, say, in all these years,
- 13:00Speaker 6: do we still end up with Lane Kiffin?
- 13:03Speaker 3: Well? Saving true.
- 13:07Speaker 6: So much stuff?
- 13:08Speaker 1: I mean we're basically riding Hunts. What if Winnsday right now? Yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: we would have had oc years ago.
- 13:17Speaker 5: True?
- 13:19Speaker 3: How fun is this?
- 13:21Speaker 1: If Breeze isn't the quarterback?
- 13:22Speaker 3: Who is? Good question? It might be Patrick Mahomes?
- 13:27Speaker 1: True?
- 13:29Speaker 6: Didn't he want to draft Patrick?
- 13:30Speaker 1: They were going to draft Yeah, and then the Chiefs
- 13:34Speaker 1: jumped him.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Brutal.
- 13:43Speaker 1: As someone who roots for a team that's only been
- 13:47Speaker 1: to a Super Bowl one time and has never won
- 13:49Speaker 1: a super Bowl and would really like for them to
- 13:52Speaker 1: win one, the Bush League bolts, I don't know.
- 13:57Speaker 5: I still might go super Bowl. I mean super Bowls
- 14:00Speaker 5: a bigger deal. It's a big deal. But how many I.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Know how many what's the championship championship? Indian they'd be like,
- 14:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna give a damn if the Colts win a
- 14:11Speaker 1: super Bowl. We just won a national championship as the
- 14:14Speaker 1: Indiana Hoosiers. Yeah, I don't know.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Yeah, that's I mean, that's certainly a big deal. But
- 14:21Speaker 5: I still feel like most Hoosiers because that's what everybody
- 14:26Speaker 5: in Indiana's called, no matter what town you're from.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a that's a federal law. I think they
- 14:33Speaker 1: still say I'll take a Colt super Bowl over those
- 14:40Speaker 1: Indiana fans. I don't know they took over.
- 14:42Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not a Hoosier or from Indiana, so
- 14:45Speaker 5: I just feel like if I was, I would say
- 14:49Speaker 5: I'll take Peyton Mann and winning a super Bowl over
- 14:52Speaker 5: the Hoosiers winning one.
- 14:54Speaker 6: This one might be a little hard because Dallas. I
- 14:57Speaker 6: feel like Dallas is split between like Texas is a
- 15:00Speaker 6: ou m hm, but like a Cowboys Super Bowl or
- 15:05Speaker 6: Texas hasn't won a national championship in a long time.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Cowboys Cowboys, they would lose their minds.
- 15:11Speaker 6: Can you imagine. I feel like it'd be like New
- 15:12Speaker 6: York when the nixt one.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm trying to think of a comp that you imagine.
- 15:19Speaker 6: Has a baby and this Dallas Cowboys won a.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Super Bowl might have another one.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Like I'm trying to think of a comp of like
- 15:29Speaker 5: big time passionate, like super passionate fans like above all
- 15:33Speaker 5: else Ohio State fans because their NFL teams have kind
- 15:38Speaker 5: of been poo But I think Bobby always says the
- 15:42Speaker 5: Browns are the Columbus team, not the Bengals.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Are they I'm pretty sure? Okay, yeah, the Browns ever
- 15:51Speaker 1: won a Super Bowl. If they did, yeah, the answers
- 15:55Speaker 1: still know. But if they did, it's hypothetical that there's
- 15:59Speaker 1: still no Yeah, would Michigan fans trade a Natty for
- 16:03Speaker 1: a Lions Super Bowl? Oh?
- 16:05Speaker 6: That's a good one.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I think, so good one. I think I think the
- 16:10Speaker 3: Lions fans would have won a Super Bowl.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It's a It's a question that just shows you how
- 16:17Speaker 1: passionate we are about LSU. But it also brings to
- 16:20Speaker 1: the surface just how important super Bowls are and what
- 16:23Speaker 1: they do for you, how much they mean. There's a
- 16:26Speaker 1: lot of people in this chat right now that would
- 16:29Speaker 1: die for LSU, and they'd still pick the Saint Super
- 16:32Speaker 1: Bowl because they just never thought in their lifetime that
- 16:35Speaker 1: it would happen. Sure, Ever, like I was a Saints
- 16:39Speaker 1: fan during Dome Patrol and like that was the greatest
- 16:44Speaker 1: thing ever, And so I didn't have to go through
- 16:47Speaker 1: the years to even get to that, right because I
- 16:49Speaker 1: was young, seven years old, like when Dome Patrol. Still
- 16:52Speaker 1: remember it got Morten Anderson's autograph under the Superdome after
- 16:55Speaker 1: going to a game one time. Yeah, yeah, I had
- 16:58Speaker 1: a Kickers jersey, No big deal. My mom didn't have
- 17:01Speaker 1: a pin, so she had to use her eyeliner pin.
- 17:07Speaker 1: But I remember that like that was like a good kicker.
- 17:10Speaker 1: At least it was a good kicker. But that was incredible.
- 17:13Speaker 1: But then you remember the lean years. But like again
- 17:15Speaker 1: I don't remember the years because I wasn't born yet
- 17:18Speaker 1: when they were starting as a franchise and they were
- 17:19Speaker 1: just horrendous. You're like Archie Manning. So I think I
- 17:23Speaker 1: think it depends on what are we going to make
- 17:25Speaker 1: our pole question?
- 17:27Speaker 3: Because of because there's we talked a lot of all
- 17:30Speaker 3: similar it owns.
- 17:32Speaker 1: If the Saints hadn't won the Super Bowl, the Browns
- 17:36Speaker 1: and the Saints would be the same.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Yeah, So the question we could do, would you rather
- 17:42Speaker 5: would you rather Saban have never left or Drew never came?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 17:48Speaker 3: Or would you rather a super Bowl or Natty champion?
- 17:51Speaker 3: Maybe two? Need two questions? Or we can work shopping
- 17:55Speaker 3: here with the break? Or how many? How many national championships?
- 18:00Speaker 1: One? Super Bowl?
- 18:00Speaker 5: One, two, three or four? A lot of thoughts to
- 18:05Speaker 5: think about. Wow, we're getting deep today. That's very sporty.
- 18:10Speaker 5: So credit to ourselves. Allow myself to credit myself. It's
- 18:21Speaker 5: probably smoke's not coming out of your ears.
- 18:23Speaker 3: All right, we will take a break. We've got to
- 18:27Speaker 3: figure out what the question is gonna be.
- 18:29Speaker 1: We gotta show you this picture of Richard Dixon going
- 18:31Speaker 1: all out and it's Halloween costume. We gotta show you
- 18:34Speaker 1: t Bob dressed up as the kool Aid Man. All
- 18:36Speaker 1: of that coming back here on otb off the bench,
- 18:40Speaker 1: all right, Go to get Gordon dot com, Gordon McCarney
- 18:42Speaker 1: injury attorneys. When you go to get Gordon dot com,
- 18:45Speaker 1: remember you can have a chat right there with an

- 21:11Speaker 1: kool Aid Man. This was T Bob's mister kool Aid.
- 21:14Speaker 1: This was T Bob's Halloween costume. I think that was
- 21:18Speaker 1: his sophomore year.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Maybe, yeah, he might have been his recruiting trip.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yeah. So you know, the thing is, I don't know
- 21:30Speaker 1: who he got to paint him like.
- 21:33Speaker 6: That because he that is one of the most ridiculous
- 21:35Speaker 6: pictures I've ever seen in my life.
- 21:36Speaker 3: He didn't do it himself, obviously, you know, so somebody
- 21:40Speaker 3: had to do that for him.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Will Blackwells's boy, Josh Rawsick. I call it paint in
- 21:46Speaker 3: the mouth, all right. So that's that's C Bob, I
- 21:51Speaker 3: think on his official visit.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Now here is one of the Lake Beauprey Halloween's where
- 22:00Speaker 1: Richard Dixon really just went all in this costume you got.
- 22:04Speaker 1: You got T Bob as like a gangster. I'm dressed
- 22:07Speaker 1: as uh fat Elvis and then Richard dig Dixon. He
- 22:12Speaker 1: has his shirt that says whipped and proud of it
- 22:15Speaker 1: Reese's whips.
- 22:17Speaker 3: What I just read this shirt for the first time.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Yeah, who who? What?
- 22:25Speaker 3: Why is he wearing that does not look like clockwork? Horns?
- 22:28Speaker 3: Situation a little bit? He does?
- 22:31Speaker 1: He just needs the Oh he's not a gangster. He's
- 22:34Speaker 1: got this big old he's a German something right with
- 22:37Speaker 1: a suspender whatever.
- 22:41Speaker 6: Situation all right?
- 22:44Speaker 5: Or he just like you know, put on his nice
- 22:46Speaker 5: shirt and suspenders and put on a hat and drink beer.
- 22:49Speaker 3: No, No, he's got this wrist taped. I don't know.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I think it's riskless taped. It does look like he's
- 22:55Speaker 3: got is a big mug, probably heavy his little the
- 23:00Speaker 3: last hand I had to get taped so he could
- 23:03Speaker 3: hold this mug. Wow, sad.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Whipped. I'm proud of it.
- 23:16Speaker 6: I'm proud of it.
- 23:19Speaker 1: We gotta find you. So if you want to feel
- 23:21Speaker 1: like we felt in that picture, were juvenile medical Yes,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I feel better than I did back then.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna find I'm I'm gonna find one of you
- 23:35Speaker 3: like that.
- 23:35Speaker 6: I felt threatened. I was like, he's coming from me
- 23:39Speaker 6: so fast, a.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Quick twitch ThReD.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Oh I forgot about that.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Oh we did that, worry idiots. I'm gonna find one
- 23:53Speaker 3: of flim like.
- 23:54Speaker 6: I've got plenty of Facebook archives.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I've got plenty like pictures of see I can't. I
- 24:00Speaker 1: looked at my Facebook trying to find the archives.
- 24:04Speaker 6: And Lacy, Yeah, that's who y'all got to ask.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I got. I mean, I got one of me taking
- 24:10Speaker 1: the crystal ball away from you.
- 24:12Speaker 3: What did you take it from me?
- 24:13Speaker 6: Because you were talking it?
- 24:14Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, it's my ball. I scored in that game too. Bro,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna handed it to you to what if I
- 24:27Speaker 1: didn't hand it to you, he never scored, so you're welcome.
- 24:31Speaker 1: That's a great point.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Mhmm.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Let's get Andrew Hatch to hand it to me. Shout
- 24:40Speaker 1: out to Andrew Andrew Hatch. What do we think Andrew
- 24:43Speaker 1: Hatch is doing right now?
- 24:44Speaker 3: Probably very successful somewhere, probably really successful.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Didn't go back to Harvard, Probably probably running Harvard. Let's see,
- 24:54Speaker 5: you're gonna check his LinkedIn. Yes, he definitely has a LinkedIn.
- 25:00Speaker 1: The problem with the with the LinkedIn though, you gotta
- 25:05Speaker 1: have like you got to be able to get in,
- 25:08Speaker 1: and I can't get in.
- 25:09Speaker 5: The premium on LinkedIn is stupid expensive too. I did
- 25:15Speaker 5: it one time because I thought I was gonna connect
- 25:17Speaker 5: with people for business. Canceled it because a bunch of nerds.
- 25:23Speaker 1: That feels really wrong. You just called a whole bunch
- 25:26Speaker 1: of people, No, bunch of preneurs that were contacting me. Okay, wait,
- 25:29Speaker 1: what are we doing here? Holy Andrew Hatch? All right,
- 25:33Speaker 1: So Hatch transferred back to Harvard. The NCAA required him
- 25:38Speaker 1: to sit out the following year. He was the scout
- 25:41Speaker 1: team quarterback for Harvard in two thousand and nine. He
- 25:44Speaker 1: then became the starting quarterback for Harvard's twenty ten season.
- 25:48Speaker 1: In the first game of the season against Holy Cross,
- 25:50Speaker 1: he completed twenty of twenty five passes for two seventy
- 25:53Speaker 1: six and three tutters. There we go. He was injured
- 25:56Speaker 1: on the first play of the second game of the
- 25:58Speaker 1: season against Brown and it doesn't look.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Like he ever recovered. But well, plot twist.
- 26:05Speaker 1: When he finished playing football, he went on to play
- 26:08Speaker 1: one season of baseball at Harvard. He pitched and played
- 26:12Speaker 1: right field for Harvard's baseball team in the spring of
- 26:15Speaker 1: twenty eleven.
- 26:16Speaker 3: This man was still in college in twenty eleven.
- 26:20Speaker 1: He went four to four in his first full baseball
- 26:23Speaker 1: game since high school, and he had a one point
- 26:25Speaker 1: eight to four er and a two to zero record
- 26:28Speaker 1: as a relief pitcher. Oh my god. He was the
- 26:30Speaker 1: winning pitcher with three scoreless innings in the Beanpot semi
- 26:35Speaker 1: final game against UMass and he pitched two scoreless innings
- 26:39Speaker 1: in the bean Pot championship game against Boston College at
- 26:42Speaker 1: Fenway Park. He graduated from Harvard in the spring of
- 26:45Speaker 1: twenty twelve.
- 26:47Speaker 6: So I just looked him up on Facebook and it
- 26:51Speaker 6: doesn't say like where his job's at, But he studied
- 26:55Speaker 6: at the Morsony Morsony College of Medicine, and he studied
- 26:59Speaker 6: psychology economics in Spanish at Harvard. So I would assume
- 27:03Speaker 6: he's doing something psychological.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Something way above our figures.
- 27:07Speaker 6: He's probably like doing psychology in Mexico, or he's not
- 27:11Speaker 6: doing mid market morning sports radio.
- 27:15Speaker 5: No, his loss, his loss, seriously. Okay, I saw I
- 27:23Speaker 5: see something. Andrew Hatch, MD, Resident Family Medicine in Washington,
- 27:32Speaker 5: the state. Yeah, all right, Andrew Hatch.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Let's see, he was more than qualified to hand me
- 27:39Speaker 1: the ball. Had Did anybody know Andrew Hatch played baseball
- 27:44Speaker 1: at Harvard? No, just found that out and then had
- 27:47Speaker 1: a one point eight four.
- 27:48Speaker 6: You are pretty good.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Well, he was still playing baseball in twenty eleven. He
- 27:51Speaker 5: transferred to LSU in two thousand and seven from Harvard.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Yeah, and then went back.
- 27:56Speaker 6: So he was Yeah, good run, you did a mission
- 28:03Speaker 6: trip in Chile. You just living life.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Where you at.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Jimmy Walker, Jimmy crushed on the Arena League for a
- 28:16Speaker 3: little bit.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Oh, that's sure he did. He played in Green Bay
- 28:18Speaker 5: one time. I went and watching him. He's on the
- 28:19Speaker 5: kickoff team and playing quarterback.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Was he killing it? Any? More backup quarterbacks because those
- 28:30Speaker 1: two stories are kind of hard to beat. H Jordan Reaver.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Where's Jordan Reaver at right now? Hagen uh.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Hagen he I think Hagen Hearn is doing really well. Actually, yeah,
- 28:44Speaker 1: recently figured that out. I don't know if I can
- 28:50Speaker 1: predict how Reaver's doing. So Reaver is the guy that
- 28:54Speaker 1: we lost for three days. One time we lost him.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Here's my roommate.
- 28:57Speaker 5: One year we lost him. We couldn't find him. We
- 29:01Speaker 5: actually got very worried about him. His door was locked
- 29:04Speaker 5: to his room and we banged on his door, we
- 29:10Speaker 5: shook it, We did everything for like the first day,
- 29:13Speaker 5: were like, clearly it's been over twenty four hours. Yeah,
- 29:16Speaker 5: he's not there. So we started calling everybody looking for him.
- 29:19Speaker 5: We were like, do we call the cops? Well, two
- 29:22Speaker 5: days in miss workouts.
- 29:23Speaker 1: We need to add that part of misworkouts, miss, which
- 29:27Speaker 1: is school everything. So like school forty eight hours in
- 29:31Speaker 1: you said, everybody's seen the show forty eight hours.
- 29:34Speaker 5: Forty eight hours in, We're like, okay, this is a
- 29:35Speaker 5: this is a missing person situation. Yeah, three days in
- 29:39Speaker 5: we should call the cops. We probably should have called
- 29:42Speaker 5: the cops before, probably.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Probably and then we're just sitting in there, you know,
- 29:46Speaker 3: I mean we're.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Got his door for twenty minutes, like the first day
- 29:51Speaker 1: and second day, like it's locked and it was like
- 29:53Speaker 1: a like the old WCA is like you couldn't pick
- 29:56Speaker 1: the lock.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Wasn't that situation?
- 29:58Speaker 5: Yeah, And then like day three, were sitting in the
- 30:00Speaker 5: living room all this we're discussing the matter is what
- 30:03Speaker 5: ditches he in?
- 30:04Speaker 3: How dead is he? How kidnapped is he? Whatever? He
- 30:10Speaker 3: just busts out of his room saying, who wants to go?
- 30:13Speaker 3: Who wants to go?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Like sprints out of his room, wants to go. I'll
- 30:19Speaker 1: never forget it.
- 30:22Speaker 6: I want to go to the hospital. Make sure you're fine.
- 30:26Speaker 3: He just.
- 30:28Speaker 1: He had some libations, a lot of them. And I
- 30:32Speaker 1: don't think he went. I don't think he was alone.
- 30:35Speaker 3: I don't know where he he. I don't know where
- 30:36Speaker 3: he went potty.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it was the weirdest situation, But that kind of
- 30:41Speaker 1: gives you an idea of our guy.
- 30:43Speaker 3: He turned down like a bunch of offers.
- 30:45Speaker 1: He's the guy that turned down offers to come to
- 30:48Speaker 1: l s U like some smaller schools, but some good offers.
- 30:52Speaker 1: He's from Garland, Texas, so he leaves l s U
- 30:56Speaker 1: and goes to sam Houston State where he's going to
- 30:59Speaker 1: be the quarterback. He's gonna be a starter. Well, a
- 31:02Speaker 1: couple of days after he enrolls does everything. Rett Bomar,
- 31:05Speaker 1: who is a top recruit in the country, gets kicked
- 31:08Speaker 1: out of Oklahoma and transfers to sam Houston State.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Tough timing, yeah, tough timing. Yeah, so he never got to.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Go Jordan with us, I mean with us, he was
- 31:22Speaker 1: a complete liability.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Yeah, good guy though, good player, he was good. James
- 31:27Speaker 3: Coley on scouting.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Come on, all right, I'm gonna do some research. We're
- 31:34Speaker 1: gonna find this man.
- 31:35Speaker 5: You're right, bro, did go on a vision quest and
- 31:37Speaker 5: maybe we have him on in his w C A
- 31:39Speaker 5: rim that's half the size of this studio.

- 31:46Speaker 1: can imagine. All right, we'll take a more ot B

- 33:24Speaker 6: You wouldn't make love to love me.
- 33:27Speaker 1: You went fast us.

- 33:36Speaker 7: crazy coming home with a kid. I said, just more
- 33:44Speaker 7: to love you, just.
- 33:49Speaker 1: This one. I'm so.
- 34:02Speaker 3: What's Hedden.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Down a rabbit hole?
- 34:11Speaker 6: There?
- 34:11Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:11Speaker 1: We did back up lash quarterback.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Do we ever decide on our pulp question? Yeah?
- 34:20Speaker 6: I put it up.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Oh that's that focus gid you put up?
- 34:33Speaker 6: I think I put would you rather let me?
- 34:35Speaker 3: Just yet?
- 34:38Speaker 6: I feel like I asked it wrong, though, but I
- 34:41Speaker 6: put what y'all basically told me to put. Okay, would
- 34:45Speaker 6: you rather this is what y'all told me to say?
- 34:49Speaker 6: Would you rather l you keep Nick Sabing forever? Or
- 34:52Speaker 6: the Saints never get Drew Brees? Right? Sounds great, but
- 34:58Speaker 6: it's like I don't know it.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Just would you rather Saban never have left?
- 35:04Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 35:04Speaker 3: I think I or Drew Brees never have came.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:09Speaker 6: Oh well, I think people get the sentiment. But right
- 35:12Speaker 6: now the leader is keeping Nick Saban.
- 35:16Speaker 3: I can see that with our audience.
- 35:19Speaker 6: Yeah, it's eighty nine percent.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Whoa, how many votes? Only nineteen eighty of what say?
- 35:28Speaker 5: Cheap Nick sabany? Oh okay, it's only nineteen though, could
- 35:32Speaker 5: have been a big Saban fan base.
- 35:40Speaker 6: Could have been.
- 35:41Speaker 3: I mean, we'll probably get to nineteen thousand votes by
- 35:43Speaker 3: the end of the hour.
- 35:43Speaker 6: Probably, Nick Saban's probably gonna retweet.
- 35:49Speaker 1: It, thoughts good saving a couple different times last week.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I don't think he's gonna be retweeting anything.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Yeah, who knows? He got the old Twitter verse?
- 36:02Speaker 5: Is him the way he has He's been great on
- 36:06Speaker 5: game day? Yeah, awesome. He's been really good. Better and
- 36:09Speaker 5: I ever thought he would be in media just because
- 36:12Speaker 5: he's way more engaging, is he? Did he shock you
- 36:15Speaker 5: at how good he is at television? Because no, no,
- 36:20Speaker 5: he's good. I mean think about him and recruiting, how
- 36:24Speaker 5: good he is in recruiting and how.
- 36:25Speaker 3: Good I didn't think he was very good in recruiting.
- 36:28Speaker 3: I did not come here because of him.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I did.
- 36:30Speaker 3: He was the only guy I talked to.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Really.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I never talked to Jimbo or Derry Dooley one time.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Yeah, like I got, you know, the handwritten letters coach
- 36:40Speaker 1: Saban took over my recruiting, and he was like Kirk
- 36:44Speaker 1: Dahl would like say hello and shout out to coach Dahl.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Loved that guy.
- 36:49Speaker 1: He is great. But coach Saban took over my whole recruiting.
- 36:53Speaker 1: That's the only person I talked to like so for me,
- 36:57Speaker 1: like I, I mean, I could have been bitter that
- 37:01Speaker 1: Lsu waited until late. I could have been he didn't
- 37:03Speaker 1: allow any of that.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Yeah, see, I let me let me back up on
- 37:09Speaker 3: my comment. I didn't not.
- 37:11Speaker 5: I said I didn't come here because of him, Like
- 37:13Speaker 5: I didn't. I was mainly talking to Jimbo. So I
- 37:16Speaker 5: didn't talk to Saving quite as much. So he's not
- 37:18Speaker 5: like the reason like the personality reason that like wowed
- 37:21Speaker 5: me to l s U. Now, him being the head
- 37:24Speaker 5: coach here was a DETERMINI fator because he's an awesome
- 37:28Speaker 5: head coach, but like he wasn't the spearhead for for
- 37:32Speaker 5: my recruiting.
- 37:33Speaker 1: I had so you and I had a conversation on
- 37:36Speaker 1: a quick one with him. We were having drinks sitting
- 37:38Speaker 1: there with Pete Damil and he walked by and you
- 37:41Speaker 1: know he was having dinner with Pete and Pete obviously
- 37:43Speaker 1: knows what we played for coach, and he's like, hey, y'all,
- 37:45Speaker 1: come say what's up to him? And so coach David
- 37:49Speaker 1: sees this, he gets a grin as he's walking over there.
- 37:51Speaker 1: We talked to him for a little bit.
- 37:52Speaker 3: It was fun. He was actually staying right across the
- 37:55Speaker 3: hall from me, like right across the hall, so like
- 37:58Speaker 3: I'm going to Marie comes out, he's like, what's you doing?
- 38:01Speaker 1: Both, you know, and like we started talking and then look,
- 38:05Speaker 1: I mean we start talking about like where college football is,
- 38:07Speaker 1: and you know, because that was like a topic of
- 38:10Speaker 1: his during the week, and you know, it was kind
- 38:13Speaker 1: of like, you know, coach, it's just it's not the same,
- 38:16Speaker 1: Like it's not I was like, my dad wouldn't have
- 38:18Speaker 1: let me transfer. Like so we get in like all
- 38:20Speaker 1: that kind of conversation. I said, coach, you know what,
- 38:22Speaker 1: and it goes back to recruiting. I'm tied all back,
- 38:25Speaker 1: I said, coach, you know what, I appreciate. I remember
- 38:27Speaker 1: being eighteen years old and you being in my living
- 38:29Speaker 1: room and I remember you looking at my mom and
- 38:31Speaker 1: dad in the eyes, and as my mom, as my dad,
- 38:35Speaker 1: as my brothers, Katie and me, we're in there, and
- 38:37Speaker 1: I remember him saying, Hey, I'm not gonna lie to
- 38:39Speaker 1: you and tell you that that Jake's gonna come in
- 38:41Speaker 1: there and play tailback.
- 38:43Speaker 3: He's like, he's gonna play fullback for two years.
- 38:45Speaker 1: He's gonna play tailback for his last two years, and
- 38:47Speaker 1: that's gonna be his four years at LSU. He said,
- 38:49Speaker 1: Now he's not gonna red shirt. He's gonna play special teams.
- 38:52Speaker 1: That's how we're gonna utilize him. I said, Coach, is
- 38:54Speaker 1: so funny that you weren't there, But that's exactly how
- 38:56Speaker 1: it played out.
- 38:57Speaker 3: He kind of looks at me, he smirks, He goes,
- 39:00Speaker 3: I think I know what I'm talking about.
- 39:02Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 39:02Speaker 3: I think I kind of know what I'm saying. And
- 39:05Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I guess you're onto something.
- 39:07Speaker 1: But so to go back to the original question, after
- 39:11Speaker 1: like just having the relationship with him that it didn't
- 39:14Speaker 1: recruiting and still like knowing his personality, it's not surprised
- 39:17Speaker 1: to me that he's, you know, dynamic in his own
- 39:21Speaker 1: way on TV.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Yeah, he's going to prepare to when you talk to
- 39:26Speaker 3: those game day people.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I mean, Pete said it was when we were sitting
- 39:28Speaker 1: there talking with me goes a guy watches more tape
- 39:31Speaker 1: than anybody I've ever seen.
- 39:32Speaker 5: Right, yeah, he The only surprising part for me was
- 39:37Speaker 5: his personality has shown on game day, which we never
- 39:41Speaker 5: knew that as players, and you're talking about the recruiting,
- 39:43Speaker 5: so you kind of know it, but I didn't know
- 39:45Speaker 5: that from recruiting.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Spirits, Spirits and Seaway, I've got that first. They got
- 39:48Speaker 3: that personality, they took it off. We didn't get to
- 39:52Speaker 3: see it much, but like how he.
- 39:54Speaker 5: Counteracts and like interacts with Pat McAfee has gotten yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 5: is really good and uh yeah he's and he's been
- 40:01Speaker 5: pretty he's been great for the show. And I didn't
- 40:04Speaker 5: think he would be as good as he is. I
- 40:06Speaker 5: thought he'd be good, but I didn't think he'd be
- 40:08Speaker 5: as good as he is. So he certainly was. But
- 40:10Speaker 5: you know, and I made that comment like he was
- 40:13Speaker 5: the head coach, and I knew that l she was
- 40:14Speaker 5: in good hands. But I remember coming to camp here
- 40:18Speaker 5: in June, and I had a really like hard ass
- 40:22Speaker 5: high school coach right like it was he ran our
- 40:26Speaker 5: high school program like with a with an iron fist,
- 40:29Speaker 5: like Saban ran LSU, and how he runs his program
- 40:33Speaker 5: so I remember being at camp and Saban running like
- 40:36Speaker 5: high school football camp, like he ran training camp like
- 40:39Speaker 5: the same spirit.
- 40:41Speaker 3: I guess we should say the same attitude, the same
- 40:44Speaker 3: like discipline.
- 40:46Speaker 5: And I remember like, man, like I don't know if
- 40:48Speaker 5: I want to leave my high school team and like
- 40:51Speaker 5: go to another coach. That's kind of like that, Like
- 40:54Speaker 5: I know there's other types of personality coaches out there,
- 40:57Speaker 5: but it was but I did know he was a
- 41:00Speaker 5: incredible head coach.
- 41:00Speaker 3: We didn't know how good he was at the time.
- 41:02Speaker 5: Because they had won a national championship when I was
- 41:04Speaker 5: getting recruited, but it was certainly it was Jimbo that
- 41:07Speaker 5: kind of smoothed and softened everything up. I mean, and
- 41:10Speaker 5: I don't want to say soft and like smooth. They
- 41:11Speaker 5: had there more of the personal relation and now talk
- 41:13Speaker 5: to saving every time I like on a visit. He
- 41:15Speaker 5: did come to Tyler on a recruiting trip on time,
- 41:18Speaker 5: but it was like in spring and he couldn't talk
- 41:20Speaker 5: to me. It was like, is that when the ankle
- 41:22Speaker 5: conversation probably happened. Was probably set something. That's probably when
- 41:25Speaker 5: they found out that I didn't have fat ankles. They
- 41:28Speaker 5: were just there to check out the ankles because this
- 41:30Speaker 5: was probably like a month after Nike Camp.
- 41:32Speaker 1: And oh dummy.
- 41:37Speaker 3: He made a funny comment about do he did?
- 41:40Speaker 1: We can't say it have a handwritten letters?
- 41:43Speaker 3: You coming circle? Yes or no?
- 41:45Speaker 1: I still like I just actually put him in the
- 41:47Speaker 1: attic because we cleaned out the garage. We turned the
- 41:50Speaker 1: third garage into a full weight room for the boys.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Like a lot of my stuff was in there and
- 41:54Speaker 1: like put it.
- 41:55Speaker 3: I still have like.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Every not every like letter, but every like handwritten letter,
- 42:00Speaker 1: scholarship all for that half from every school.
- 42:02Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's cool. Will I ever go through those and
- 42:07Speaker 1: do anything with them?
- 42:08Speaker 6: No?
- 42:08Speaker 1: Probably not.
- 42:09Speaker 5: It's it is hard going through memories. Yeah, because you're
- 42:12Speaker 5: like what do I do with these? Like I know,
- 42:13Speaker 5: do I throw them away? They'll be lost forever? But
- 42:15Speaker 5: like who's ever gonna read these? My kids gonna read these? No,
- 42:18Speaker 5: they'll not look at it one time.
- 42:20Speaker 3: I would.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I wouldn't mind going back and finding maybe like the
- 42:22Speaker 1: Lshue ones, but like you know, the other school, or
- 42:25Speaker 1: maybe it'd be fun to go look at the Oklhoma
- 42:27Speaker 1: State ones like coach Miles.
- 42:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that might be fun to see what you said there.
- 42:30Speaker 1: But I did find the the actual offer letter though
- 42:34Speaker 1: from LSU signed by coach Saban, So I took that
- 42:37Speaker 1: out and go do something with it. That's cool. And
- 42:39Speaker 1: when I say do something with it, about twelve years
- 42:41Speaker 1: from now, make its way to hobby lobby.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Yeah, to get framed up. Yeah, sure, that's hey.
- 42:46Speaker 5: If anybody's got any suggestions for people that have turned
- 42:49Speaker 5: forty and after forty.
- 42:51Speaker 1: What do you do with your old stuff? Talk about Murphy,
- 42:54Speaker 1: Sam and Jody. That's perfect for that kind of segment
