- Craig: Week one in the NFL was an absolute banger. Week two is bound to be even better. Today we are diving into my rankings for quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end. So stay tuned. Well, welcome back to the kitchen here on Fat Daddy Sports. If you're new here, my name is Craig. Go ahead and drop a comment down below. Let me know some of your top plays for this week in fantasy football. Hit that like button, hit that subscribe button as we are still on a journey right now trying to hit our first 100 subs here on this new channel. It would mean the absolute world to me. I've had such a blast over this last month or so just getting to Talk fantasy football with you guys, and I look forward to doing it even more throughout the season. But without further ado, let's jump into those rankings for week number two here in the NFL. We'll start at the quarterback position ⁓ in what should be an absolute shootout of a game. Two very, very fun teams. The last time they played each other, it was an absolute chaotic game. I think the Bills scored like 50 points in it. But it is Josh Allen for the Buffalo Bills against Detroit here on Thursday night, a short week. That's probably the only thing that concerns me a little bit is teams kind of go into a shell on Thursday nights. But I think with this new stadium in Buffalo, they are going to want to put on a show for the fans. And I think Josh Allen's going have a big, big game against a banged up Detroit defense that has really struggled. They struggled last week against New Orleans. They've struggled over the last few years. I think that Josh Allen could have a very big game. Right after that is a guy who was on a tear in week one. And it is Lamar Jackson against a New Orleans team that Detroit just kind of did what they wanted to do against. Zay Flowers may be out this week. Who knows? But I think Lamar Lamar's rushing his upside from that is just so high. That offense looked unstoppable in week one. Going on to number three, another offense that looked absolutely unstoppable. It's Caleb Williams against Minnesota. That should be a very fun game. NFC North rivalry. The Bears, I I would expect, ⁓ would probably roll in that game. But I think Caleb Williams is gonna have a big day. I think he gets those wide receivers, the tight end, a little bit more involved this week. And I think he has a very big, very, very big game this week. Talking about getting the wide receivers rolling, we'll look at quarterback number four, Dak Prescott against Washington. CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were pretty slow out of the gates in week one. I think they turned it around big time and they aired out a ton this week. Jaden Daniels against ⁓ the Cowboys on the other side of the ball. I think we'll have a big game. His rushing upside seems to be there. Stephon Diggs seems to be a very big addition to this offense. Terry McLaurin didn't have the best game in week one against Philadelphia, but I think he gets it going a little bit better here in week two. Brock Purdy looked amazing in week one. He gets the Miami Dolphins in week two. I think he's Bound to have another big game. Him and Mike Evans seem to have a connection that is unstoppable. So I look for big games out of both of those guys. And then you've got Jalen Hurts against Tennessee. I've talked about my distrust in Jalen Hurts as a passer, but his rushing upside and the tush push are always going to keep him inside that probably top eight number. Joe Burrow looks to have a little bit better week this week against a very tough Houston defense. I say tough Houston defense, but the Bills just torched them in week one. So we'll see if the Bengals can do the same or if Houston gets their footing underneath them a little bit. Nonetheless, it is a home game for Houston. So I would expect a little bit of struggles for that Cincinnati offense. An offense that has not been struggling for about a year now. is the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence should have another big game against a Denver defense that just got torched by the Chiefs on Monday night football. I do worry a little bit about the Jaguars going out to Denver and how they're going to perform on the road, but I think that they are pretty unstoppable. Parker Washington seems to be the real deal. That running game I think will work itself out, but both running backs I think are fine. Trevor Lawrence, he provides his own value there. I think he is definitely a good quarterback pick in the top ten. Drake May, it's gonna be tough sledding for him. But without AJ Brown, I would love to have him up in the top five, especially since I have a lot of Drake May and on my teams this year. But without AJ Brown, he definitely gets bumped down a little bit without Trayvon Henderson. That offense just seems to lack a spark right now. So we'll knock him down to quarterback ten. Jared Goff, Jackson Dart, Tyler Shuck, Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert. ⁓ Herbert is another guy that I would love to bump up higher. I have some shares of him. I've talked about that Chargers offense. But until I see it, I'm not going to put him any higher than that. Aladdin McConkey got banged up in game one. And really just that whole offense looked out of sync and really struggled. So I'm going to keep him down at 15. ⁓ and then you go to LA versus the Giants in Matthew Stafford, another guy that without the touchdowns, he's going to really, really struggle to put up consistent points. And we saw last week in the red zone they wanted to run the ball. ⁓ we'll see if that philosophy changes a little bit. It was kind of strange that they did that in week one, but without those touchdowns, Matthew Stafford's not going to put up those top ten numbers that he has in the past. Jordan Love, Baker Mayfield, Bryce Young coming off a very big game. I may be too low on Bryce Young. I just I want to see it again before I move him up any higher. I'm not a big believer in Bryce Young. I was kind of shocked that he did what he did in week one against Chicago. I don't think that Carolina's gonna have to throw it as much against Atlanta this week. And so I could see them leaning on the running game and Bryce's Young's numbers being affected by that. Somebody who looked terrible in week one was Bo Nicks. He looked out of sync. That entire offense looked terrible. Davis Webb calling plays for the first time, Sean Payton not calling plays for the first time. We'll see if they change that up, and it goes back to Sean Payton calling those plays, but They really struggled in week one against Kansas City. For now, Bo Nicks is down there at quarterback number 20 with CJ Stroud, Malik Willis, Daniel Jones, and Jacoby Brissett. That will round out the quarterbacks for the week. Let me know down in the comments anybody that you would change, anybody that surprises you. And let's jump over to the running backs. All right, pretty by the books for the running backs. We are looking at Jameer Gibbs. Derrick Henry gets a bump up after a big week one against the Colts. He takes on a New Orleans team ⁓ that can be beat. Definitely Jameer Gibbs, we saw with a couple touchdowns last week. I think Derrick Henry's gonna just have that safe floor every single week. I'm so glad that I drafted him after one week. I don't want to overreact, but man, he just doesn't ever seem to age. Kenneth Walker gets a huge boost after that week one performance where he was RB1 on the week. Absolutely dominated Monday night football. So many touches through the air, through the ground. He was just running all over Denver. And so he'll get an Indianapolis defense that Derrick Henry just shredded in week one. I think Ken Walker could do a lot of the same in week two. Bijan Robinson gets a slight bump down, and that's not really anything against Bijan. It's more so ⁓ the other guys just kind of getting a bump up. I think that that Atlanta offense is going to struggle with Cooper Rush in there. I mean, it was encouraging that he got as many dump off passes as he did from Cooper Rush, but the rushing really wasn't there against a good Steelers off or good Steelers defense. Without those screen passes, Bijan doesn't put up the numbers that he puts up. And so I'm going to bump him down just a little bit, but still, I mean, we're talking running back two to running back four. It's not a not night and day difference. So nothing to be worried about there. He is still a set it and forget it guy. And then you look at Christian McCaffrey. Some people are maybe a little worried about Calen Black cutting into Christian McCaffrey's workload, and that's ridiculous. That's silly. Don't be that guy. Don't worry about it. Set it and forget it. Put CMC in your lineup and don't even think twice about it. Same with Jonathan Taylor, Ashton Genty. DeAndre Swift gets a bump up after a big week one. That Bears offense looks so good. And we kind of talked about it all offseason. I wanted as many pieces as I could get on that Bears offense. DeAndre Swift shows out in week one and he gets the nod here at running back number eight. Kind of the same story for Chase Brown. ⁓ Saquon Barkley struggled a little bit in week one. He had the yardage. I think he had like 85 yards, maybe even 90 yards, something somewhere around there, but he didn't get in the end zone. And that's my worry with Saquon is when he doesn't get in the end zone, he doesn't put up those big numbers. Tennessee is definitely an opponent where he could get in the end zone multiple times. So I may be too low on him, but I really like the guys that I put ahead of him this week. James Cook against Detroit. Like I said, I just think that Josh Allen's gonna be throwing that ball around. They're gonna try to put up as many points as they can. Maybe James Cook catches some passes, maybe James Cook breaks some long run, but right now I'm keeping him at that low end RB1 territory. Right there with him is Kyron Williams, somebody who always has that touchdown upside. Amari and Hampton, running back number 13. I was very, very high on coming into the year, and he kind of laid a dud with that whole Chargers offense. Until I see it, he's going to stay right there at that top end RB2 range. And that is right in the range with Javante Williams RB 14 this week. Devon Han. I've said multiple times my worries with him, and everything was proven in week one. I'm still not completely out on HN. I think his talent will rise him above some of this negative. play in Miami, but right now he is a high end RB2. Brees Hall had a very nice game in week one against the Titans. You're just kind of hoping that he catches some passes and maybe falls in the end zone once or twice. Let's keep it realistic. Let's hope he falls in there one time. Anything more is an absolute godsend. And then we're going over to David Montgomery in Houston against the Cincinnati Bengals at running back 17. Bucky Irving had a nice week one against Cincinnati. He winds up as my running back 18, and that's kind of the range where I think he'll be is right around that 16 to 20 mark most weeks. Cam Scadaboo looked really good. That Giants offense looked really good, but they're playing the Rams defense this week. I'm a little bit worried about that. Going out to LA to play. I don't really know how many parts of that offense I want this week. Ramondre Stevenson, I mean Pure volume alone puts him on this list. A talent. I don't love it, but he's going to get the dump-offs. He's going to get any goal line work that they have. Ramondre Stevenson is a locked-in RB2 until Trevion Henderson returns. And then Chuba Hubbard, RB1 over in Carolina. I was very high on Jonathan Brooks this year. I still think Jonathan Brooks will probably take that role over at some point, but it was all Chuba Hubbard. He got the goal line work. He got The majority of the carries in week one, put up a very solid game, and now he gets an Atlanta offense that or defense that is not very good. So Truba Hubbard should have another couple scoring opportunities, should be able to get in the end zone for you. Jeremiah Love, I liked what I saw out of him in week one. I mean, a limited roll, but he did get in the end zone to save his day. He was right around that 13 point mark. I think as the season goes, he's gonna get more and more work and eventually be that RB1 in Arizona. It may even be this week. You never know. And so you've got to have him in your line. And then rounding out the running back position is Travis H.N. Jr. and Jadarian Price. I've talked about Price and that Seattle backfield and just how that timeshare scares me a little bit. I'm kind of staying away from it, but I do like his talent. I think they'll be able to move the ball against Arizona, and I think he'll have some opportunities to score in this one. So I'll put him right there at the back end of the RB2 conversation. Moving over to the wide receiver position and a guy who had a little bit of a stinker in week one. Puka Nakua, Jamar Chase also had a stinker. Amon Ra is inevitable. You can't stop him. You really can't. I mean, he was shut down for most of the game, and he still ended up with 20 plus points in week one. Justin Jefferson moves way up. And that is with anticipation that Carson Wentz is going to be the quarterback this week. They showed a good Tearing together in week one against Green Bay, leading that comeback against the Packers. And I think Carson Wentz really knows how to get Justin Jefferson the ball. I'm not worried at all if I'm a Jefferson owner and Carson Wentz is in there as the starter. JSN gets a little bumped down, just anticipating Drew Locke is going to be the starter this week and probably for the next few weeks. CeeDee Lamb, Chris Olave, Nico Collins, George Pickens, and Devonta Smith round out the top ten. Rasheed Rice, a very quiet week one in a game that they really tried to pound the ball on the ground. I think that they get things going through the air a little bit more, and Rasheed Rice catches some of those short passes and takes them, you know, for that yak yardage. Garrett Wilson should see a lot of targets again this week and should provide a fairly safe floor around that, you know, 10 to 12 point mark. Anything more than that means that he probably got in the end zone, and we will take that. Christian Watson had a big, big week, a week one. I think he will probably continue that. He is one that I'm probably too low on here at wide receiver 14. Probably need to move him up big time. Malik Neighbors love the talent. Love the situation. I do not love the matchup against the Rams. I think that the Giants are gonna struggle out there in LA this week. So I've moved him down just a little bit. Jalen Waddles showed us absolutely nothing in week one. ⁓ we'll keep him here for now. T. Higgins, kind of the same thing. Parker Washington, I think, is probably the real deal in Jacksonville. Probably a little too low on him as well. And then a guy that I have been historically too low on, Zay Flowers. Holy smokes, he was going off in week one before the injury. I have an asterisk next to his name. Need to monitor the injury situation if he's going to play this week or not. If he is playing, I have him as a mid. Wide receiver two option. He obviously can be a top five wide receiver. He was dominating last week before the injury. Another guy that was having a very nice game before his injury, Ladd McConkey in LA. Need to watch his ⁓ injury news as well and see if he's in or out this week. But I have both those guys back to back at 19 and 20. And then Tederoa McMillan, Devontae Adams, Emeka Abuka, and Jameson Williams, all guys that you know are high end. wide receiver twos, but didn't maybe live up to that in week one. So they got bumped down just a little bit. All four of those guys could easily finish in the top 15 though. So if they're in your are on your team, you need to get them in your starting lineup. And last but not least, over to the tight end position. This one, ⁓ as of the recording of this video, Brock Bowers, we still haven't heard anything yet. ⁓ there's a lot of talk about him hopefully being back for week two. But as of right now, We have no official word if he's back. If he is back, I probably slot him, you know, instantly right in there in that top seven discussion at the very least. He's just so talented. And if he wasn't a hundred percent or close to it, I don't think that they would have him out there. I don't think that they need to have him out there right now. So if he is active, he is going right into my starting lineup without a question. But for the guys that we do know about, Trey McBride is Colston Loveland, Tyler Warren, Tucker Kraft, Sam Laporta, and Dalton Kincaid round out the top six. Loveland, holy smokes. I was so excited when I hit draft on him on draft night in my main league. And then this weekend, I just kept checking the scores and I could not believe that he was still at zero points. ⁓ I think even now, later in the week, I am still checking to see if he has scored a point in Newsflash, he hasn't. Better days are ahead for Loveland. I it was weird. I don't know what was going on there, but they will get him the ball. I've Bet that they would probably even make an emphasis this week in the first drive to get him the ball multiple times. I'm not too concerned about him yet. A guy that did get the ball a ton was in Buffalo Dalton Kincaid. He has been up and down in his career, but he seems to be kind of that pass catcher one in Buffalo right now. I'm gonna fire him up this week against a Detroit defense that can definitely be beat. There's a lot to see after last week with Dalton Kincaid in this Buffalo offense. I think if you have him, you gotta put him in your lineup. Same thing with Isaiah Likely, a huge week one, two touchdowns. I mean, I was all over him. Pause. ⁓ I was all about him all offseason and really liked him as a new player for the Giants. He dominated in week one. We'll see if he continues that in week two. Travis Kelsey had a kind of quietly nice night there for Kansas City in week one, in a game that they didn't really have to pass the ball a whole lot. Dallas Goddard had a couple touchdowns in week one. Juwan Johnson got in the end zone. George Kittle was on the field quite a bit. And when he was, he looked pretty good. They are still easing him back from that Achilles injury, but I would expect him to get ramped up even more this week. Mark Andrews, Harold Fannon, a real dud in week one. I'm going to keep him down there until I see anything better from this Browns offense. Jake Ferguson, ⁓ and then Michael Mayer. I have an asterisk there. I think if Bowers is back. I move Mayer down maybe three or four spots. Not a whole lot, but I have him as a low end tight end one, a high end tight end two. I think that's just kind of what he is. He's put on some nice games with Bowers out in the past, and he had an okay game in week one. So if Bowers is gone again this week, I like Mayer if you need to put him in there. Kyle Pitts, I want no part of this week with Cooper Rush starting, even if Tua is starting. I just don't trust it at all right now. I need to see more out of Kyle Pitts and this Falcons offense. Dalton Schultz, Brenton Strange, Hunter Henry, TJ Hawkinson, and Pat Fryermouth are all nice plays. If you need a flyer for some reason, or if you're in a deeper league, all of those guys are very solid options. I've talked about them on my waiver wire videos. I really like. The chance of all of those guys really getting in the end zone on a weekly basis. And then you go to Mike Gasicki, AJ Barner, and Cade Otten. They're kind of a tier down from those guys that I previously listed, but still all are decent shots of finding the end zone if you need a flyer. But let me know again down in the comments who did I miss? Who would you have had differently in your rankings? Let me know down in the comments.
