- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simoni's back on seventeen woor.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Well, hey, we got a lot to get to this hour. Now.
- 0:16Speaker 2: You know, whatever President Trump does, it's wrong. Whatever he
- 0:19Speaker 2: does is wrong, according to the fake news, anything he does,
- 0:23Speaker 2: it's wrong. They're yelling and screaming. Why did he he
- 0:26Speaker 2: reduced the number of troops we have in South Korea?
- 0:28Speaker 2: They're very upset about this. If he had increased the
- 0:31Speaker 2: number of troops, they'd be very upset. Why has he increased?
- 0:35Speaker 2: So whatever he does is wrong. Everything is wrong. You know,
- 0:40Speaker 2: there's been a lot of controversy about all these mail
- 0:43Speaker 2: in voting because mail in voting has gotten totally out
- 0:47Speaker 2: of control. It used to be you know, if somebody
- 0:49Speaker 2: was away or they're overseas. It's also military, or if
- 0:54Speaker 2: you're not going to be in your home state. Let's
- 0:55Speaker 2: say you live in New York, but you're going to
- 0:57Speaker 2: be in California for a couple of months. He can
- 1:00Speaker 2: vote by mail. That's what it's for. But it got
- 1:03Speaker 2: abused by Democrats and I'm sure Republicans do it too,
- 1:06Speaker 2: but it got totally out of control. So now they vote,
- 1:13Speaker 2: here's the results. Uh, wait a minute, we got to
- 1:15Speaker 2: wait for the mail in votes. Next thing. You know,
- 1:17Speaker 2: the mail in votes are more than the regular votes.
- 1:20Speaker 2: You know, the millions of mail in votes are coming in.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Nobody knows from where. So people have been complaining about
- 1:27Speaker 2: It's very controversial. It should be looked at and stopped
- 1:31Speaker 2: from getting out of control. So it's a good thing
- 1:36Speaker 2: to do. President Trump has talked about it. A lot
- 1:38Speaker 2: of people have talked about it. Here's a big headline.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Trump votes by mail just one month after calling it
- 1:45Speaker 2: inherently corrupt. Why you know, it's the Republican primary tonight
- 1:50Speaker 2: and he voted by mail because the president is now
- 1:53Speaker 2: a Floridian He's an actual citizen of Florida. He officially
- 1:58Speaker 2: lives in Florida and not New York anymore. But he's
- 2:01Speaker 2: the president. He's in Washington, d C. In the White House,
- 2:03Speaker 2: so he had a vote by mail. So here he's
- 2:05Speaker 2: getting attacked him. How Darry vote by mail after calling
- 2:09Speaker 2: it corrupt? How Darry use a mail? Well, this is
- 2:12Speaker 2: exactly what a mail in BALLID is for. This is
- 2:16Speaker 2: exactly what it's for. It's not supposed to be millions
- 2:19Speaker 2: of citizens who live two feet from the pole, but
- 2:22Speaker 2: the mail INVALLID. It's not for that. It's for a
- 2:26Speaker 2: guy like this who lives in Florida but because of
- 2:29Speaker 2: his job, has to be away from Florida and can't
- 2:33Speaker 2: get back there. So that's exactly what it's for. But
- 2:37Speaker 2: they'll yell at him for anything he does, anything, yelling
- 2:42Speaker 2: and screaming about this USS Lincoln, this aircraft carrier. Why
- 2:46Speaker 2: has he been out at sea so long? Will they
- 2:48Speaker 2: just announced they're replacing it, They're sending another aircraft carrier
- 2:51Speaker 2: to relieve it. Now, as soon as that aircraft carrier
- 2:53Speaker 2: gets there, watch they'll start yelling at Hi why did
- 2:56Speaker 2: he take the Lincoln out? Why did he stop doing that? Hey,
- 2:59Speaker 2: we were talking about that. Jared Kushner before he was
- 3:01Speaker 2: in Israel yesterday to negotiate with net and Yahoo. But
- 3:09Speaker 2: also do you know that he met with Hamas. He
- 3:13Speaker 2: met with Hamas face to face talks with Amas. Kushner
- 3:19Speaker 2: reports they said all the right things. They said all
- 3:23Speaker 2: the right things, but obviously it's very hard to trust them,
- 3:26Speaker 2: you know, a terrorist organization. Yeah, I don't know what
- 3:31Speaker 2: the point is that the face to face talks. You know,
- 3:33Speaker 2: sometimes it's to threaten these guys, you know, to let
- 3:36Speaker 2: them know. But if you're Jared Kushner. Have you ever
- 3:39Speaker 2: heard him talk? We were able to go through some
- 3:41Speaker 2: of the misunderstandings and misinformation that's been out about it
- 3:44Speaker 2: as well.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I mean certain things.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Like can't you can't send him to threaten people, not
- 3:47Speaker 2: with that voice, not the way he looks. Because if
- 3:50Speaker 2: you send him to meet with AMAS and he's you
- 3:52Speaker 2: guys throw if you don't, it's not too threatening. Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 2: send General Jack Keene or send somebody to threaten him.
- 4:02Speaker 2: That Kim Jared Krishna Train said. Now it's not going
- 4:05Speaker 2: to sound too scary. They said, we had a very
- 4:07Speaker 2: cordial meeting. It's a mass you having a cordial meeting
- 4:12Speaker 2: with a moss And they said all the right things.
- 4:14Speaker 2: So we're gonna give them a chance to perform. It's
- 4:17Speaker 2: going to have to be based on actions and steps,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and I hope it will be all true. I think,
- 4:23Speaker 2: I don't think. I think when Jared left the room,
- 4:26Speaker 2: all the Hamas looked at each other and went, I
- 4:30Speaker 2: don't think it was too effective. Uh, Bill Maher good
- 4:35Speaker 2: for him yelling at the left again, get over your silliness.
- 4:40Speaker 2: You know they're comparing he was talking about, but they
- 4:41Speaker 2: started comparing Ice to the Iranian regime. Marson, get over
- 4:48Speaker 2: your silliness. It's absolutely ridiculous.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Uh.
- 4:52Speaker 2: He gets a lot of flak for that, But give
- 4:54Speaker 2: him credit. He stands up to the crazy Democrats and
- 4:57Speaker 2: tells him the truth every so often. Hey, I remember
- 5:00Speaker 2: we're talking about Bruce Blakeman has a slight problem fundraising.
- 5:05Speaker 2: He's raised a lot of money and he's doing very well.
- 5:08Speaker 2: He's campaigning very hard. He's catching up in the polls.
- 5:12Speaker 2: The problem is a lot of the big, big, big
- 5:15Speaker 2: Republican donors would normally be given it. They all love Blakeman,
- 5:19Speaker 2: they're all praying Blakeman gets elected. But some of them
- 5:21Speaker 2: are afraid to donate to them because they're doing a
- 5:25Speaker 2: ton of business in New York and they don't want
- 5:26Speaker 2: to offend Kathy Hochel. So that's a problem you go
- 5:30Speaker 2: to deal with. But you just got to start opening
- 5:33Speaker 2: the floodgates. And once they start doing it, they'll all
- 5:37Speaker 2: start doing it. Maybe. Now you got one here, very
- 5:40Speaker 2: prominent Democratic donor, big Democratic donor. It's Bonnie Engelbart Lautenberg.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Sound familiar. Yeah, she's the widow of Frank Lautenberg, the
- 5:51Speaker 2: big Democratic senator and She's been a big contributor to Democrats,
- 5:56Speaker 2: whether it's Hillary Clinton, Kathy Hochel. She's a died world
- 6:00Speaker 2: Democratic donor. Contributed to a Hokel last time. She's now
- 6:04Speaker 2: holding a fundraiser for Bruce Blakeman, which is great. She
- 6:09Speaker 2: plans to hold a massive fundraiser for Blakeman now. But
- 6:14Speaker 2: there's a difference here. She's a philanthropist, she's a photographer,
- 6:19Speaker 2: she's not somebody's doing a ton of business in New York,
- 6:22Speaker 2: so she doesn't need to worry about offending Hochel. So,
- 6:25Speaker 2: but you need more Democratic donors, and a lot of
- 6:28Speaker 2: you wealthy donors listen to the show. Republican donors. You
- 6:33Speaker 2: got to start helping Blakeman. Everybody can help them. Infect
- 6:36Speaker 2: If you're not a big, huge donor, you can help.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Just go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. Donate whatever you can.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Because Hokel has something like she's got like twenty two
- 6:45Speaker 2: million in cash on hand, another twenty million coming from
- 6:49Speaker 2: the DNC. It's forty two million. Blakeman's up to about
- 6:54Speaker 2: twelve thirteen million. So you got to help. Donate to
- 6:57Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman. Go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot Com. We want to
- 7:00Speaker 2: see him win. Hey, the Supreme Court rejected President Trump's appeal.
- 7:06Speaker 2: You know that e Gene Carroll, that looney, wacky woman
- 7:11Speaker 2: with that whole preposterous story about being raped at Bergdorf,
- 7:15Speaker 2: which everybody at Bergdorf says is insane. Never would have happened.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Trump had it. Was ordered to pay her eighty three million,
- 7:24Speaker 2: which I don't think he hasn't paid that yet. But
- 7:27Speaker 2: then afterwards he called her all kinds of names, and
- 7:30Speaker 2: then she went back to court. You remember it's New
- 7:31Speaker 2: York court, new York judge, New York jury. He can
- 7:34Speaker 2: always win against Trump. So she won five million dollars
- 7:39Speaker 2: for defamation. That's separate from the other thing. And he
- 7:42Speaker 2: had paid it. He did pay the five million because
- 7:44Speaker 2: it was due and he had to pay it. So
- 7:46Speaker 2: Trump took it to the Supreme Court to get that
- 7:48Speaker 2: five million overturned, and they voted against them. Well, he
- 7:53Speaker 2: took it back to the Supreme Court a second time,
- 7:57Speaker 2: and yesterday they rejected again. Second time. He's rejected it.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Now separately, he's going to go after the eighty three
- 8:05Speaker 2: million and try to get that overturned. He's got a
- 8:07Speaker 2: shot at that because it's first of all, nobody believes
- 8:11Speaker 2: this case. But second all, even if we're true it's excessive,
- 8:14Speaker 2: the justices are on summer recess and not expected to
- 8:19Speaker 2: be back or take up the case until late September.
- 8:22Speaker 2: You know, it's pretty good in that government. You get
- 8:24Speaker 2: a summer it's like they're in school. They get the
- 8:26Speaker 2: summer off. It's summer recess. You know. If you're in Congress,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you get the month of August off. It's like they're Europeans.
- 8:33Speaker 2: They take the whole month of August off. That's it.
- 8:35Speaker 2: They're gone. You don't see him. Hey, Tonight is the
- 8:38Speaker 2: Florida primary, Alaska primary. A lot of big primaries tonight,
- 8:42Speaker 2: but the big thing in Florida is the governor. DeSantis
- 8:46Speaker 2: been a very good governor in Florida. Governor DeSantis is
- 8:48Speaker 2: term limited out. He's gone at the end of the year.
- 8:52Speaker 2: So everybody wants Byron Donald's to be the new governor.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Most likely he will. He'll easily win the primary tonight
- 9:00Speaker 2: and most likely win the general election. So he should
- 9:03Speaker 2: be the next governor of Florida. Now, this crazy MSNBC
- 9:09Speaker 2: or ms NOW or whatever the hell they call it.
- 9:12Speaker 2: So Byron Donalds goes on there the anchor, Peter Alexander.
- 9:16Speaker 2: You've seen that guy. He's your typical NBC guy who
- 9:19Speaker 2: looks like a straight leaced reporter anchorman. Then he starts
- 9:23Speaker 2: opening his mouth with the guest. He's the most biased,
- 9:26Speaker 2: left wing, slanted, fake news guy. So everything Byron donald said,
- 9:32Speaker 2: he jumps in. He goes, I must stop you. I
- 9:34Speaker 2: must make one factual clarification. He was talking about inflation.
- 9:39Speaker 2: He goes president. When the president says, inflation hit historic
- 9:43Speaker 2: highs during Biden's term, Actually, when Biden left it was
- 9:47Speaker 2: three percent. Now it's three point five percent, So in fact,
- 9:51Speaker 2: it's gone up since President Trump took office. Well, yeah,
- 9:56Speaker 2: but what the president means it was nine percent under
- 9:58Speaker 2: Biden just because it dropped the the end. Most of
- 10:01Speaker 2: the time, it was ridiculously high. But you're supposed to
- 10:04Speaker 2: be a journalist. You're not supposed to be debating the guy.
- 10:08Speaker 2: He's just out in that debating that. Every time donald
- 10:11Speaker 2: said anything, he jumped in. I'm quoting for clarity. The president,
- 10:16Speaker 2: of course said that on day one prices would come down.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yet orange juice is up twenty two percent ground beef
- 10:21Speaker 2: up nearly twenty two percent, coffee is up thirty three percent. Well, anytime, anytime,
- 10:27Speaker 2: you can always pick three things that are up. That
- 10:31Speaker 2: doesn't mean anything, it's just and why is this guy debating.
- 10:34Speaker 2: He's supposed to be interviewing this guest. Now, if he
- 10:37Speaker 2: did this all the time, maybe you could justify it.
- 10:40Speaker 2: But as soon as Byron Donalds leaves and the Democrat
- 10:43Speaker 2: comes on, Peter Alexander doesn't fact check anything, nothing, nothing.
- 10:48Speaker 2: The guest will say President Trump is sleeping through all
- 10:51Speaker 2: this meetings. Silence, nothing from Peter Rouzair, doesn't say a word,
- 10:58Speaker 2: no clarification, doesn't jump in and say, now, wait a minute.
- 11:01Speaker 2: He was seen closing his eyes for two seconds. He
- 11:04Speaker 2: was awake for the next two hours of the meet
- 11:06Speaker 2: doesn't crify anything. And then before they went to the commercial,
- 11:11Speaker 2: Alexander takes one morsewipe at Byron Donald's We should again
- 11:15Speaker 2: be very clear, very clear. Despite the congressman's assertations, when
- 11:20Speaker 2: President Trump took office, inflation was at three percent. There
- 11:24Speaker 2: were forty year record highs before he took office. They
- 11:27Speaker 2: are now at three point five percent. Inflation has gone
- 11:29Speaker 2: up since President It's really not the way you do it,
- 11:33Speaker 2: You take the average, take the average of Trump's presidency.
- 11:37Speaker 2: The average of Biden's and Biden's was like triple Trump.
- 11:39Speaker 2: So very very deceptive. The Emmy Awards are coming up.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Does anybody pay attention to that anymore? They're starting the
- 11:47Speaker 2: voting today. Hacks is supposed to be getting tons of nominations,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and that JFK Junior Carolyn Bassett series, which itself was
- 11:57Speaker 2: quite misleading about. JFK Jr. Expected to get a lot
- 12:01Speaker 2: of Emmy nominations. Hey, Carly Simon, we're talking about her
- 12:05Speaker 2: last week. She has a new album out, first album
- 12:07Speaker 2: in eighteen years. But it did pretty well on iTunes.
- 12:11Speaker 2: It was top ten all weekend, sold out on Amazon overnight.
- 12:15Speaker 2: It's gotten rave reviews all right, pretty impressive. Iran know,
- 12:22Speaker 2: as we told you before, the Strait of Hormose is open.
- 12:24Speaker 2: It's been open, half open. It's but we got about
- 12:28Speaker 2: nine million barrels a day are coming through there. Normally
- 12:31Speaker 2: it's twenty million barrels a day, but it's nine million
- 12:33Speaker 2: barrels a day, so it's partly open. But one thing
- 12:37Speaker 2: about that, it's all oil coming from other countries. It's
- 12:41Speaker 2: other countries using the straight of hormoose. No Iranian oil
- 12:45Speaker 2: has been exported in weeks. No Iranian oil is coming
- 12:49Speaker 2: out anywhere, and the country is just being economically destroyed.
- 12:54Speaker 2: They're losing almost five hundred million a day. And memory
- 12:59Speaker 2: said the inflation in Iran was at three hundred percent.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Well it's now at four hundred percent. Inflation is at
- 13:05Speaker 2: four hundred percent. Unemployment is a ten percent all time high.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Iran's currency is wiped out. It now trades against the dollar.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Listen to this, almost two million against one US dollar.
- 13:19Speaker 2: That's unbelievable, unheard of. So it's it's close to total
- 13:25Speaker 2: total collapse in Iran. It could happen any week. So
- 13:29Speaker 2: that's what the president, I guess, is looking at. Hey,
- 13:34Speaker 2: tipping is out of control. You know, you used to
- 13:36Speaker 2: tip fifteen percent the waiter, then it became more like
- 13:40Speaker 2: twenty percent. Now you look in a lot of checks
- 13:42Speaker 2: that says twenty five percent. You can check that off.
- 13:45Speaker 2: It's out of control. Everywhere you go. You know Starbucks,
- 13:48Speaker 2: the barista wants a tip. Now anytime you go to
- 13:51Speaker 2: anything and a counter, any anything where you could I
- 13:55Speaker 2: have that, yes, and then they hand it to you.
- 13:56Speaker 2: There's a tip jar right, you're supposed to tip them.
- 13:59Speaker 2: What are they there for to hand you something? Why
- 14:02Speaker 2: do they have to tip them? It's just out of control.
- 14:04Speaker 2: And then the waiters will explain why they need so
- 14:06Speaker 2: much for the tip. Personally at twenty five percent, I mean,
- 14:10Speaker 2: if it's really good, I'll tip twenty five percent. But
- 14:12Speaker 2: it's a lot. It's a big percentage of the whole thing.
- 14:16Speaker 2: And here's the server.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Out of that gratuity the bar The server also has
- 14:21Speaker 4: to pay the barbag Who are the people who come
- 14:23Speaker 4: and help clean up, make sure the table stay clean.
- 14:26Speaker 4: So when I give somebody a receipt and they look
- 14:28Speaker 4: at me and they say, oh, gratuity is included, I say,
- 14:31Speaker 4: gratuity is included, but a tip is not. And if
- 14:34Speaker 4: you can't afford the tip, then you shouldn't be out.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell are you talking about?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Your tip versus your gratuity. You got to pay the
- 14:41Speaker 2: bar man. The owner of the restaurant's supposed to pay him.
- 14:46Speaker 2: You're telling me, this guy got there, goes there every
- 14:49Speaker 2: night just praying I'll tip them. He's not getting a salary.
- 14:51Speaker 2: You're supposed to get paid by the restaurant. It's not
- 14:54Speaker 2: like they're giving away the food. The prices are astronomical,
- 14:57Speaker 2: should be enough to cover everything. I don't know, it's
- 15:00Speaker 2: it's it's a little too tip, Gracey. Sometimes you're at ah,
- 15:05Speaker 2: you know, like a you order online, like a Chipotle
- 15:08Speaker 2: or something. You do it online on the app. You
- 15:10Speaker 2: order everything. You're gonna go in there. You're never gonna
- 15:12Speaker 2: see anybody. You just go in there, pick up your
- 15:14Speaker 2: bagging les. There's a tip button on the app forst
- 15:17Speaker 2: to tip somebody I never saw. Well, you're tipping them
- 15:19Speaker 2: for actually putting the order together. Well, that's his job.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Do I put out a tip jart? Do I tell
- 15:25Speaker 2: you people to send me money? Do I want twenty percent?
- 15:30Speaker 2: Too much tipping? It's gotta stop. It's getting out of control. Hey,
- 15:33Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:36Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 15:40Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 15:42Speaker 1: So Mark Zimoon show nine till noon weekdays for Mark
- 15:47Speaker 1: sevent tenor.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:54Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to uh
- 15:57Speaker 2: Dennis Massa peku with Dennis?
- 15:59Speaker 5: How you doing okay?
- 16:01Speaker 3: I was going to say, when the price of I'm
- 16:04Speaker 3: really old, it's a price of steak was I got
- 16:07Speaker 3: a steak dinner for fifteen dollars a while open back,
- 16:10Speaker 3: and it was a ten percent.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Dollars wasn't Calvin Coolidge years fifteen dollars, No Veggie's on
- 16:16Speaker 2: eighty sixth Street.
- 16:17Speaker 3: It was really nice plaice steakhouse. Okay, so that was
- 16:21Speaker 3: a long time ago. I'm very old. But how old
- 16:25Speaker 3: are you are? Maybe six?
- 16:28Speaker 2: That's not that old, Okay, you're getting.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, if the price of the steak went up
- 16:36Speaker 3: now fifty dollars, steak is eighty dollars did when you
- 16:40Speaker 3: give a twenty percent tip, it's the twenty percent goes
- 16:44Speaker 3: up count.
- 16:46Speaker 2: You're absolutely right now. I just say, in defense of
- 16:49Speaker 2: all these steak places, the price of beef has gone crazy.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Now.
- 16:54Speaker 2: That has nothing to do with inflation, nothing to do
- 16:57Speaker 2: with Trump. There was all kinds of problems in the
- 17:00Speaker 2: the cattle world. They lost a lot of cows and
- 17:02Speaker 2: a lot of cat so there was a shortage. That's
- 17:06Speaker 2: the reason, Prescotte. But when you go to a steakhouse
- 17:09Speaker 2: and it's like ninety five dollars for a steak. Believe
- 17:11Speaker 2: it or not, the restaurant is paying like ninety four
- 17:14Speaker 2: dollars for the steak, and they're losing money on the
- 17:18Speaker 2: steak because the other dollar doesn't cover the rent. The
- 17:23Speaker 2: staff all that they're actually losing money on the steak,
- 17:25Speaker 2: So they make all the money now on the side dishes.
- 17:30Speaker 2: If you order broccoli, it's fifteen bucks and it costs
- 17:32Speaker 2: them like fifteen cents for the broccoli, If you order
- 17:36Speaker 2: French fries, any side dishes where they're making all the money,
- 17:38Speaker 2: not the steak. So if two people go to eat
- 17:41Speaker 2: and one orders the most expensive steak on the menu,
- 17:44Speaker 2: they don't like that guy. But if the other one
- 17:46Speaker 2: just orders nothing but side dishes, they're making enough fortune
- 17:49Speaker 2: of that guy. Let's go to David in Connecticut. David,
- 17:52Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 17:54Speaker 3: Yeah? Hey, Mark, good? Hey.
- 17:55Speaker 6: I got a rule regarding tipping. If I stand in order,
- 17:58Speaker 6: I don't tip nowted. If it's college kids at a
- 18:01Speaker 6: vacation place down at LBI or something like that, I'll
- 18:04Speaker 6: tip them something. But if I'm sitting then I definitely tip.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Well, that's a very good rule. If you're standing up
- 18:09Speaker 2: and you never sit down once. If you're standing in
- 18:11Speaker 2: a counter or you don't tip. I like that, it's
- 18:12Speaker 2: a good rule. Where are you in Connecticut, New London?
- 18:17Speaker 2: Oh that's way out there, way out there. Yeah, that's
- 18:20Speaker 2: practically Fox Way. It's way up to by the naval
- 18:23Speaker 2: base there, way up the coast. Anyway, thanks for calling.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Let's go to Sam in Greenwich, Connecticut. Sam, how you doing.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Great?
- 18:32Speaker 7: I donated to blake when I believe in him.
- 18:34Speaker 2: And I hope he wins. Bruce Blakeman will be a
- 18:37Speaker 2: great governor. You're in Connecticut. You need Ryan Fozzio to
- 18:40Speaker 2: win in November. He's the Republican Canaday donate to him too.
- 18:45Speaker 7: And as far as the steak, as far as the
- 18:47Speaker 7: stakes go, the best steak is.
- 18:49Speaker 3: At jay House.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Absolutely, Tony Capasso the restaurant at Jay House that's in Greenwich, Connecticut.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Tony's does have the best steak. Check out my Instagram.
- 18:59Speaker 2: You gotta scroll back back a while, but you'll see
- 19:01Speaker 2: some steak pictures there. He also has the best sushi.
- 19:04Speaker 2: He also has an incredible pasta. Tony's at Jay House, Greenwich, Connecticut. Well,
- 19:09Speaker 2: let's go to uh Richard and Bay Shore. Richard. How
- 19:12Speaker 2: you doing I'm doing well? Market morning.
- 19:15Speaker 8: You know, I have all the apps on my phone
- 19:17Speaker 8: for most of the fast foods, and they're all like
- 19:20Speaker 8: Papa John's or Subway. They're all looking for ten, fifteen,
- 19:23Speaker 8: twenty five percent. They got the buttons there for tips.
- 19:26Speaker 2: All right, first all wait to get you gotta get
- 19:29Speaker 2: better apps. Subway, you can do better than that.
- 19:33Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, yeah, well.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Hey, you know that's Mike, Mike's jersey whatever jersey Mike
- 19:41Speaker 2: sub that's actually better than Subway. It's pretty good. I agree.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I agree with you there.
- 19:46Speaker 8: But even even the fair was like McDonald's looking for
- 19:49Speaker 8: our donations to Ronald McDonald's house, and you know they're
- 19:53Speaker 8: all looking for you hit that button and nothing in
- 19:56Speaker 8: the end of it.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Yeah, no, you're right. Good point.
- 19:59Speaker 9: Now.
- 19:59Speaker 2: The other thing is besides, uh, I don't want to
- 20:03Speaker 2: if I'm in a supermarket or in McDonald's, I don't
- 20:05Speaker 2: want to give to your charity. I mean, I love
- 20:07Speaker 2: to give to charity, but let me do it myself.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I don't trust you to give it to you know,
- 20:12Speaker 2: the supermarket before you check out, would you like to
- 20:14Speaker 2: donate three percent of veterans? Yeah, but not through you.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I don't know where you're giving it. To let's go
- 20:21Speaker 2: to Terry in. Uh got to move to town that
- 20:24Speaker 2: I know how to pronounce? What is a man of
- 20:26Speaker 2: Hawke in New Jersey?
- 20:28Speaker 3: Terry correct?
- 20:29Speaker 7: They gotta bring they got to bring back Tad Steakhouse.
- 20:32Speaker 7: That's sick man fight dollar steaks, a big potato and
- 20:35Speaker 7: the flames in the front of the place with the
- 20:37Speaker 7: steaks that looks like fred Lundstone Barbecue. But the thing is,
- 20:41Speaker 7: I'm really just just really pissed off about what's going
- 20:44Speaker 7: on today because so many people support legal immigration. That's
- 20:48Speaker 7: a million Third world is coming.
- 20:49Speaker 3: In every year.
- 20:50Speaker 7: You're talking about who's going to win the elections. That's
- 20:52Speaker 7: how they win with all the immigrants.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I hate to bring it to you.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Who do you do?
- 20:56Speaker 2: What do you think was working there at Tad's Steakhouse.
- 20:58Speaker 2: It was all illegals back there going to Tad Steakhouse.
- 21:02Speaker 7: Because the Americans are afraid to work in and they
- 21:04Speaker 7: hit on the women.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Come on, you know what, No I know, but there
- 21:07Speaker 2: you were going to Tad's like living like a sultan,
- 21:10Speaker 2: like a like an oligarch with a three dollars steak
- 21:13Speaker 2: from Tad's. But it was always illegals and the kid
- 21:16Speaker 2: that was a great place. Tad's Steakhouse no longer there.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Let's go to gym in New Jersey. Jim, how you
- 21:21Speaker 2: doing well? I hope this isn't a waste of a
- 21:24Speaker 2: phone call. But I sadly saw on Facebook that an
- 21:28Speaker 2: actress died. She would have been one hundred and one
- 21:30Speaker 2: next month, and she was a regular on Dragnet with
- 21:34Speaker 2: Jack Webb. She went way back to the forties. Ever
- 21:37Speaker 2: hear of a Peggy Weber Mark, Yeah, she was in
- 21:39Speaker 2: a million. Everybody would know her face if they saw her.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Yeah, she was always in Jack. I just saw it
- 21:45Speaker 5: the other morning, a five thirty on Dragnet from nineteen sixty.
- 21:48Speaker 5: Anyhow she died, she was it would have been one
- 21:50Speaker 5: hundred and one in September.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Well, that's pretty good. I'll sign up for one hundred
- 21:53Speaker 2: and one. That's not bad.
- 21:55Speaker 3: I didn't know. I didn't know.
- 21:56Speaker 5: And Blake died too, Mark, she died in June and Blake,
- 21:59Speaker 5: they're all gone.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Now.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I'm glad you brought that up, because now all over
- 22:02Speaker 2: America people are going who the hell's and blythe what's
- 22:05Speaker 2: and blythe and blythe Well, you don't you know our face?
- 22:07Speaker 2: If you saw thanks for calling. There were all these
- 22:10Speaker 2: people that you'd never know their name. You never knew
- 22:15Speaker 2: their name, but you know their face instantly because you
- 22:17Speaker 2: saw them and every They were character actors. They were
- 22:19Speaker 2: in every sitcom. They were in Dragnet, they were in
- 22:23Speaker 2: the Monsters, they were in Petticoat Junction, they were on
- 22:27Speaker 2: the Brady Butt. They all just always you need a
- 22:30Speaker 2: guy to play the banker, You need a guy to
- 22:31Speaker 2: play the delivery guy, you need a guy to play
- 22:35Speaker 2: the attorney.
- 22:36Speaker 1: It was.
- 22:36Speaker 2: There were just certain people, and they made a nice
- 22:39Speaker 2: living doing that. They would do fifty shows a year,
- 22:41Speaker 2: just in some bit part make a fortune. Hey, when
- 22:44Speaker 2: we come back, Bill O'Reilly will be with us next.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Lots to talk to him about coming up on seven
- 22:50Speaker 2: to ten w O. R.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Litt All Live from the woor Life Back Studios, Bill
- 22:56Speaker 1: marks some own show.
- 22:59Speaker 9: Well.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly number one TV a decades, number one best
- 23:03Speaker 2: selling non fiction author on Earth. His latest book, Confronting America,
- 23:08Speaker 2: is quite a book. You should pre order it right now.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Confronting America. You can get it at Amazon or you
- 23:14Speaker 2: can go to Bill O'Reilly dot com. Also, you get
- 23:17Speaker 2: his TV shows columns, you get the podcast. You get
- 23:22Speaker 2: the new podcast, We'll do it live. Daniel Baldwin, great
- 23:25Speaker 2: episode his YouTube channel. Make sure you're watching that, Bill, O'Reilly?
- 23:30Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 23:32Speaker 3: I'm doing okay, Mark? How about you good?
- 23:35Speaker 2: I love that Daniel Baldwin episode. That was pretty interesting.
- 23:39Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm trying to bring Dayton to the Baldwin family.
- 23:44Speaker 9: I don't know if I'm gonna be successful, but I
- 23:48Speaker 9: figure if I can get them together and stop feuding,
- 23:52Speaker 9: the next stop is irun for me, then I can
- 23:55Speaker 9: solve that.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Well, but that was its interesting. But you know he's
- 23:59Speaker 2: a concern servative and got nothing but trouble from Hollywood
- 24:03Speaker 2: over it. That is kind of crazy, isn't it that
- 24:05Speaker 2: you get blacklisted not for being a communist, but for
- 24:08Speaker 2: not being a communist.
- 24:10Speaker 9: Well, you know, it's ironic because you would figure that
- 24:14Speaker 9: these people would remember what happened in the nineteen fifties
- 24:18Speaker 9: when Joseph McCarthy, the senator from Wisconsin, was going around
- 24:22Speaker 9: saying you're a communist, you're a communist, you're a communist,
- 24:25Speaker 9: and then the industry blackball those people. Sean Penn's father
- 24:30Speaker 9: was one of them. And so now it's opposite. It's
- 24:36Speaker 9: the same thing. But conservative people, traditional people, even Republicans
- 24:43Speaker 9: can't work anymore than not offer jobs because the moguls
- 24:48Speaker 9: are very far left people and they only want their
- 24:51Speaker 9: own kind.
- 24:52Speaker 3: And it's so wrong. It really is so wrong, and it's.
- 24:58Speaker 9: My duty to kind of point that out. We're doing
- 25:01Speaker 9: a big thing tonight on this as off stuff in
- 25:05Speaker 9: Georgia where he impugned that President Trump's having an affair
- 25:11Speaker 9: with an aid. I mean, how low can you go?
- 25:14Speaker 9: You know, how low do you get?
- 25:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:17Speaker 3: And have you heard any mainstream media condemn that.
- 25:20Speaker 2: No, it''s a very nice woman and very nice, tough life,
- 25:25Speaker 2: went through cancer, battled out at a young age, and
- 25:28Speaker 2: has been lowt the.
- 25:30Speaker 9: Fact that that no mainstream media or even Democratic Party
- 25:35Speaker 9: Apparachnik would come out and say to osoff, knock it off.
- 25:40Speaker 9: Because I remember when Barack Obama was president. If you
- 25:45Speaker 9: had leveled a cheap shot at him and people did,
- 25:50Speaker 9: all the press would kill you. They would kill you.
- 25:54Speaker 9: But it's okay to do it with Trump. And this
- 25:56Speaker 9: is a kind of biocracy that's really hurting the country.
- 25:59Speaker 9: It's really polarizing, causing bad feelings within families. We get
- 26:05Speaker 9: to all that with the Daniel ballwin long form and
- 26:11Speaker 9: then this week we have Scott Jennings coming up, which
- 26:13Speaker 9: I think is gonna be one of our best. Yeah,
- 26:17Speaker 9: say we'll drop that. And Jennings is a guy who's
- 26:23Speaker 9: pretty much outnumbered every day. But I'm trying to get
- 26:28Speaker 9: into his thought process. You know, I know they do
- 26:31Speaker 9: it for money and they do it for recognition. I mean,
- 26:35Speaker 9: I'm in the same boat. But you know that's got
- 26:39Speaker 9: a tail that's really got to take a toll on
- 26:43Speaker 9: you when you walk into a building where you work
- 26:46Speaker 9: and everybody hates you. I mean, you know, I'm used
- 26:50Speaker 9: to that, but you know, I don't. I don't know
- 26:52Speaker 9: what Jennings is is gonna say. It should be interesting.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It looks like he's on that list being considered for
- 26:58Speaker 2: press secretary. What do you think? Who do you think
- 27:00Speaker 2: I'll be in a new press second.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I don't think he's No, I don't think that's the
- 27:04Speaker 3: President's style. It could be wrong.
- 27:05Speaker 9: I'm just guessing, but he likes people who are a
- 27:10Speaker 9: little bit younger than Jennings a little uh more. Let's
- 27:17Speaker 9: see where when he is you can mold them a
- 27:20Speaker 9: little bit. See President Trump governs like Theodore Roosevelt and
- 27:24Speaker 9: Franklin Roosevelt. Nobody even thinks about this, But those two men,
- 27:31Speaker 9: Teddy R and FDR, they didn't want anybody around them
- 27:37Speaker 9: the disagree with them.
- 27:39Speaker 3: They don't want anybody.
- 27:41Speaker 9: Okay, it was my way highway, go out and do
- 27:47Speaker 9: and say, and you can get people like that. And
- 27:50Speaker 9: I understand what the game is now, But a younger
- 27:57Speaker 9: person is much more likely to do that than a
- 28:00Speaker 9: veteran like Jennings. And Trump does that for a specific reason.
- 28:06Speaker 9: He isolates his audience, the magapeople, and he plays to
- 28:12Speaker 9: that audience. He's not trying to mold the nation or
- 28:16Speaker 9: persuade you. Sometimes I wish you would. Sometimes I wish
- 28:21Speaker 9: you would. Because economics, the Trump administration has done well.
- 28:25Speaker 9: You don't hear a worry about that. People don't know
- 28:27Speaker 9: anything about that. All they know is that they panamorph gas.
- 28:31Speaker 9: They don't know that employment is robust, that all of
- 28:37Speaker 9: the economic indicators are very very strong, strongest in the world.
- 28:42Speaker 9: Nobody competes with us, And I would like to see
- 28:46Speaker 9: more of that from the president rather than these feuds
- 28:51Speaker 9: that we get every hour on the hour.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but how's he going to do that? Every so often?
- 28:55Speaker 2: He makes one of those speeches, and then every network
- 28:57Speaker 2: or you have to fact check when they fact check
- 28:59Speaker 2: everything that they're lying, but they fact.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Check on excellent question. Excellent question.
- 29:04Speaker 9: Here is how you do it. You come in with
- 29:07Speaker 9: the number, first of all, so the number is issued
- 29:10Speaker 9: by the Treasury Department or whatever government agency issues the number.
- 29:16Speaker 9: And then you say to a reporter, are you going
- 29:20Speaker 9: to report that tonight, because I'm going to watch and see.
- 29:24Speaker 9: If you report that tonight, then you put them in
- 29:28Speaker 9: an untenable position that if they don't report it, then
- 29:34Speaker 9: they look like they're dishonest, which they are, and if
- 29:38Speaker 9: you do report it, you get what you want. You've
- 29:41Speaker 9: got to be very specific with these people. So when
- 29:44Speaker 9: you read, and you're one of the few people on
- 29:47Speaker 9: earth who's read Confronting America, you saw, yeah, you saw
- 29:51Speaker 9: what I did concerning Jane Pauley for example. Okay, so
- 29:58Speaker 9: Jane Paully is everybody America's sweetheart.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Right, which is not so sweet?
- 30:05Speaker 9: And I didn't go in and call her names. I
- 30:10Speaker 9: didn't do anything but give you an example of an
- 30:14Speaker 9: example of what she is doing on this Sunday morning broadcast.
- 30:21Speaker 3: That's all I did. Now you can't refute it, can't
- 30:26Speaker 3: refute it because we've.
- 30:27Speaker 9: Got the facts. And here's how many non liberal authors
- 30:32Speaker 9: you booked. None?
- 30:34Speaker 3: Okay, So what's going on here? Madam? What is this?
- 30:42Speaker 9: That's the way you can do it. You gotta pin
- 30:44Speaker 9: him in and then show the American people this is
- 30:50Speaker 9: not about my personal feelings, although in Donald Trump's case
- 30:55Speaker 9: a lot of it is about his personal feelings. Same
- 30:59Speaker 9: thing with Teddy Roosevelt, he really got it. Oh boy,
- 31:03Speaker 9: did he get your after your not so much after
- 31:06Speaker 9: Durald was a machine. He was a machine. But Roosevelt,
- 31:11Speaker 9: Teddy and Trump they're emotional and sometimes that hurts them.
- 31:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:16Speaker 2: There's some old Washington hands who used to say, you
- 31:18Speaker 2: got to have people that disagree with the president, especially
- 31:20Speaker 2: in the cabinet meeting, and let him argue because that's
- 31:23Speaker 2: the only place the presidentill get to hear both sides
- 31:26Speaker 2: of an argument. It'll help him make a decision. But
- 31:28Speaker 2: you don't agree with that.
- 31:32Speaker 9: I think this worthiness to dissent, and certainly I've done
- 31:36Speaker 9: that over my thirty five year relationship with Donald Trump.
- 31:40Speaker 9: You know when he asked me and I don't intrude,
- 31:43Speaker 9: I don't call him up he should be doing that.
- 31:45Speaker 9: I don't do that, okay, But when he asked me,
- 31:49Speaker 9: as he often has, I tell him what I think
- 31:52Speaker 9: and why I think it. But if he doesn't do it,
- 31:57Speaker 9: I'm not insulted. I've done my job.
- 32:00Speaker 3: As an American citizen.
- 32:02Speaker 5: You know me.
- 32:03Speaker 9: I'm very methodical. I bring stuff in and I said, look,
- 32:08Speaker 9: at the start of the Iran War, I was one
- 32:10Speaker 9: of the few non liberals who said outright, both to
- 32:16Speaker 9: the prison and to the.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Audience of my audience, like, this is a tremendous risk. Okay,
- 32:23Speaker 3: so this is not something that's a slam dunk, because
- 32:27Speaker 3: you remember all the Republicans are jumping up and down. Know,
- 32:30Speaker 3: we kill their leadership. We did this, We did that
- 32:32Speaker 3: at the Navy's at the bottom of the sea. But
- 32:33Speaker 3: bah bah bah bup.
- 32:34Speaker 9: Mean, there are so many entanglements that you can once
- 32:39Speaker 9: you get into the Middle East, so many backstabbing stuff.
- 32:44Speaker 3: It's just crazy. And when you go there, you can't
- 32:50Speaker 3: predict what will happen. And I couldn't predict it. I
- 32:54Speaker 3: couldn't predict it.
- 32:56Speaker 9: And now we have a mess on our hands because
- 32:59Speaker 9: the person, you know, the only way out of this
- 33:02Speaker 9: is to really redestruction on the country, and he'd be
- 33:07Speaker 9: condemned worldwide if he did that.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I don't mind this on again,
- 33:12Speaker 2: off again bombing. It pretty much crippled them economically their
- 33:16Speaker 2: nuclear program.
- 33:17Speaker 9: Is That's all true, but it may cost it may
- 33:20Speaker 9: cost the Republican there's the midterm elections. See if Trumpet
- 33:24Speaker 9: had a free field, if he had not done Iran
- 33:29Speaker 9: all right, then where are.
- 33:30Speaker 3: They going to go? All right?
- 33:32Speaker 9: Because the economy is pretty good and the gas prices
- 33:35Speaker 9: would have been three dollars to eighty and the food
- 33:39Speaker 9: prices would be down because the diesels. What's killing the
- 33:42Speaker 9: food the delivery of the trucks. So if he had
- 33:45Speaker 9: had that clear field going into November, the Republicans is
- 33:50Speaker 9: gonna be much stronger shape than they are now. So
- 33:54Speaker 9: while policy, you know, you can wear down the Iranians,
- 33:57Speaker 9: and I'm hoping that that happens. You know, midterms are
- 34:01Speaker 9: another thing, and that's dicey right now.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Well, Bill O'Reilly great stuff. Hey, everybody should pre order
- 34:08Speaker 2: his book. It's a fascinating book confronting America and it's uh,

- 34:32Speaker 2: she's going to hear about it every day. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 34:36Speaker 9: And you know there are other guys in there too,
- 34:38Speaker 9: like Anderson Cooper and people like that that the American
- 34:41Speaker 9: public sees but they don't really know. Yeah, you're gonna
- 34:45Speaker 9: and it's my job to tell them because these people
- 34:49Speaker 9: have influence. There's no doubt they do.
- 34:51Speaker 2: You can You'll be fascinated by this book. It's called

- 36:12Speaker 2: Georgia who attacked a president. He has a very hard
- 36:16Speaker 2: working assistant, young woman named Natalie Harp, been with him
- 36:20Speaker 2: for years, had a tough time cancer survivor, but she's
- 36:23Speaker 2: been devoted to the president. The executive assistant, so he

- 37:34Speaker 2: should look deep into his soul and ask about why
- 37:37Speaker 2: he's a miserable person who hates this country all right,
- 37:40Speaker 2: Stephen Chang. He want maybe wants that press secretary job.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Maybe he's auditioning for it, but he might have gone
