- 0:00Speaker 1: Before I actually really became the Reds to shine, platinum record,
- 0:06Speaker 1: all that, I used to be afraid to become successful.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember. That's after the truck got shot up.
- 0:12Speaker 2: That's when it had to be.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Your truck got shot up?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Twice in one night.
- 0:16Speaker 1: They didn't complete the mission the first time, followed me
- 0:19Speaker 1: and tried to do it the second time, and still
- 0:20Speaker 1: didn't finish.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Previous, the Reds to shine, you were more angry.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I was.
- 0:25Speaker 5: You hear a lot of healing.
- 0:27Speaker 6: One of the valuable lessons that you learned about been
- 0:29Speaker 6: in this business? Because you've been in record deals and
- 0:33Speaker 6: things of that nature. Now back to the PJ. When
- 0:38Speaker 6: you were on the PJ, how was your feeling when
- 0:42Speaker 6: you was.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Going on it? Oh, we was arguing. Me and my
- 0:44Speaker 1: man was- Well, y'all was arguing on the- Yeah, because
- 0:46Speaker 1: I'm like, boy, you don't run shit.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Who you firing?
- 0:48Speaker 7: Now, what's this clip going online about your lady cheated
- 0:52Speaker 7: on you, and then you made a song?
- 0:54Speaker 8: Is this legit, or is this content?
- 0:55Speaker 1: Which one?
- 0:57Speaker 2: I'm going to say this.

- 1:56Speaker 2: No shirt.
- 1:57Speaker 8: You big boy mode.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I'm exercising the fact that I'm a little overweight, but
- 2:00Speaker 1: nobody's perfect.
- 2:01Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying?
- 2:03Speaker 1: My show was wanted. I was like, what the hell?
- 2:05Speaker 1: What the hell? Your shirt.
- 2:06Speaker 8: What the hell?
- 2:07Speaker 10: Hey, we outside.
- 2:07Speaker 8: Straight artist mode.
- 2:09Speaker 10: Well, you know, do you consider yourself a singer?
- 2:14Speaker 2: No.
- 2:16Speaker 8: Artist. I do everything.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I can do it all.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Art.
- 2:20Speaker 7: I do art. I feel like in his genre, he
- 2:23Speaker 7: can kind of explore the R & B method of
- 2:26Speaker 7: no shirt.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I'm going to try.
- 2:30Speaker 8: Because he sings slick.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm going to do that. I'm going to
- 2:33Speaker 2: get y'all on and be out too soon.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Man, you can only do that when you got jewelry.
- 2:36Speaker 8: Because who we had in here?
- 2:37Speaker 6: When you ain't got no jewelry, don't be walking around
- 2:41Speaker 6: with a damn, with your shirt out.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Hey, you know what's crazy? Moray told me the same thing.
- 2:46Speaker 1: For real? He was like, your beard different from my beard.
- 2:48Speaker 1: You got the tattoos and the jewelry, bro. Yeah.
- 2:50Speaker 5: You can hold it at all.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 7: I saw DeRozan, like, in the fucking airport. We were
- 2:57Speaker 7: on the, I just was like, dog, I just knew
- 3:00Speaker 7: it was him because he had all his jewelry on.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I ain't put my, I ain't scanning it. I
- 3:04Speaker 1: ain't putting it on the plane.
- 3:06Speaker 8: You wore it. Yeah, I'm aware.
- 3:09Speaker 3: They be stealing jewelry at the airport.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I ain't going.
- 3:12Speaker 8: When our partner's jewelry got stolen.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Whatever show I got that day will be canceled, and
- 3:16Speaker 1: I ain't leaving the airport until my jewelry come back.
- 3:19Speaker 3: You know, some airports will tell you to take your.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Watch off and, They're trying to make you do all that.
- 3:23Speaker 11: They ain't got a little bit more lenience since they
- 3:25Speaker 11: started letting you keep your shoes on.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh, they let you keep your shoes on?
- 3:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Oh, they do?
- 3:29Speaker 5: Certain airports.
- 3:30Speaker 8: Certain airports. Depends on the airport.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Like Atlanta airport, for sure.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Nah.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I ain't.
- 3:34Speaker 2: They been making me tight, man.
- 3:35Speaker 1: For real?
- 3:36Speaker 8: You probably just been like. Man, you got to get
- 3:38Speaker 8: TSA pre-checked.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yeah, they doing it. Oh, yeah. I need to do that.
- 3:41Speaker 1: You don't got pre-checked?
- 3:42Speaker 2: I got, what is going on? Yeah, clear.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 3:46Speaker 8: Okay. I didn't know they said both.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I didn't know they make you take your shoes off
- 3:50Speaker 1: when you go through clear. Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 8: I know this is going to sound bougie.
- 3:53Speaker 7: I'm paying for whatever is going to get me through
- 3:55Speaker 7: the line faster.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you. I ain't know. I ain't know.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I don't know what to do.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Man, I got digital ID. I got everything. And people
- 4:01Speaker 3: be worried about like, oh, well, they scan your face.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I'm like, brother.
- 4:04Speaker 8: They're scanning your face anyway.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Brother, they already got everything.
- 4:07Speaker 8: I don't know what y'all hiding, but they already got everything.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's hot there. When you walked out of the street,
- 4:13Speaker 2: face scanned.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, they already got you.
- 4:16Speaker 8: So what's up, man?
- 4:16Speaker 3: What you been working on?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Man, in all honesty, I just been working on... My spirituality,
- 4:23Speaker 1: my peace, my family.
- 4:27Speaker 10: You're summoning somebody.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 4:30Speaker 3: That's what I've been on.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I just left from doing some spiritual work before I
- 4:33Speaker 2: got here.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Really?
- 4:34Speaker 2: If I was late, I'm sorry. My bad. But I
- 4:36Speaker 2: had to get some things right.
- 4:38Speaker 3: You were right on time.
- 4:39Speaker 8: We got to be here anyway.
- 4:41Speaker 7: We got to be here anyway.
- 4:42Speaker 8: I told man, I said, we here anyway.
- 4:44Speaker 1: It's all good.
- 4:45Speaker 3: We got to be here anyway.
- 4:45Speaker 1: We on the radio, too.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, my bad. My bad.
- 4:48Speaker 8: Go ahead.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 4:49Speaker 8: I already know you.
- 4:49Speaker 11: So, Blackman, how's your spirit since you've been doing the work?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Right now, I ain't even going to lie. Right now,
- 4:55Speaker 1: at this exact moment, I feel real relieved. I feel lighter.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I feel energetic. I'm anxious for something. I don't know
- 5:04Speaker 1: what it is.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I'm just ready.
- 5:05Speaker 11: You know, when you're getting ready to, like, unveil the
- 5:09Speaker 11: ending of a transition, that's when you start getting eager.
- 5:13Speaker 11: You just have to make sure that your pivot is
- 5:15Speaker 11: still strategic. So just keep staying consistent with the work
- 5:18Speaker 11: that you're doing. Because let me tell you, I'm not okay, but.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 2: You did. You still there.
- 5:24Speaker 11: Let me tell you, to hear, like, listening to the album,
- 5:27Speaker 11: because I've been doing my due diligence, too, about just, like,
- 5:30Speaker 11: because I'm captivated.
- 5:31Speaker 5: And I talked about this before about the sound. And
- 5:33Speaker 5: then I listened to what you're saying.
- 5:35Speaker 11: Let me tell you, I hear a lot of growth. Like,
- 5:37Speaker 11: I can tell you're still healing, for sure. You can tell,
- 5:41Speaker 11: I'm going to break you down.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Real quick, if that's okay with you.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm with it.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Relationally, you've been laid down.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 5:47Speaker 5: You've definitely deceived.
- 5:49Speaker 11: Friendships, you can tell that people have not followed through
- 5:52Speaker 11: and executed on the commitments that they have made, the
- 5:55Speaker 11: promises that were given. I can tell that you just
- 5:57Speaker 11: went through a very, very difficult season, mentally and emotionally.
- 6:01Speaker 11: And I think when you pivot, and them finances get
- 6:04Speaker 11: to a certain point, people, they start to show who
- 6:07Speaker 11: they really are to you. And I can tell all
- 6:09Speaker 11: of that simply from listening to the album.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 6:12Speaker 11: But I love the way you articulated it, though, because
- 6:15Speaker 11: previous The Rest of.
- 6:16Speaker 5: Shine, you were more angry.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I was.
- 6:19Speaker 11: You hear a lot of healing, like me versus me.
- 6:22Speaker 11: When I'm listening to that, it's like, number one, I
- 6:25Speaker 11: commend you for accepting.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Yes, but it's like.
- 6:29Speaker 8: You pissed off.
- 6:31Speaker 4: But it's not, his me versus me is not angry.
- 6:34Speaker 11: Like, the first thing you mentioned is accountability, and you
- 6:37Speaker 11: got to know, I love that.
- 6:38Speaker 8: I love me some accountability.
- 6:39Speaker 2: That's what I've been doing lately.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I've been taking, and I can't lie, you know, practicing
- 6:43Speaker 1: if I got me that, it got me taking accountability
- 6:46Speaker 1: and learning, like, I know I'm wrong.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I can't hide it.
- 6:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:51Speaker 2: You know, somebody know, you know what I'm saying? The
- 6:54Speaker 2: truth going to.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Come out, so I'm just like, hey, man, I'm taking
- 6:57Speaker 1: more accountability. I'm taking responsibility. I'm actually being a voice
- 7:00Speaker 1: for sure. Like, I'm watching what I'm saying.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And I'm making sure what I'm saying can be understood.
- 7:06Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:07Speaker 5: Yes, because comprehension is so important.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Whether I'm having a regular convo, whether I'm doing music,
- 7:11Speaker 1: whether I'm talking to kids, whether I'm doing a podcast interview, whatever.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I want to make sure you understand what I'm saying.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And I am taking accountability for all the things I did.
- 7:21Speaker 7: In 2018, when you record Pain, did you think that
- 7:24Speaker 7: you were creating the Pain genre?
- 7:28Speaker 1: Nah, I actually thought, I actually had a lot of doubts.
- 7:33Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:33Speaker 2: Because everybody was like.
- 7:35Speaker 8: Of your particular style of music?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Yeah, of my music. I didn't know what it was
- 7:39Speaker 1: going to do. I wasn't sure of.
- 7:41Speaker 7: To me, it seemed like it came from the album,
- 7:45Speaker 7: and it was a lot of different versions of you
- 7:48Speaker 7: that came after that.
- 7:49Speaker 8: Yeah. But in particularly, it was pain music, and your
- 7:54Speaker 8: debut project was called Pain.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Facts.
- 7:58Speaker 7: Correct me if I'm wrong, anybody, in the comments, whoever,
- 8:01Speaker 7: I can't remember hearing another version or a version of
- 8:06Speaker 7: your type of style of music, pain music, before the
- 8:09Speaker 7: Pain project.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I agree.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I agree. I agree.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Totally, 100%.
- 8:15Speaker 8: Because then I heard Moray. Then I heard Rod Wave.
- 8:20Speaker 7: Then I heard a plethora of other people implementing pain
- 8:25Speaker 7: into what they already had going on. So when you
- 8:28Speaker 7: hear other artists' music, you'll hear.
- 8:31Speaker 8: A pain record on their projects.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You got to hear. Your shit is all pain.
- 8:35Speaker 2: It's all.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Upset. I'm stressed out.
- 8:40Speaker 10: God help me.
- 8:41Speaker 8: God, why? It's all these things going on.
- 8:44Speaker 10: Did you really understand the significance.
- 8:47Speaker 8: Of what you were recording when you recorded pain?
- 8:50Speaker 1: Nah.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I didn't know.
- 8:51Speaker 1: If I could unintentionally go back to my old self
- 8:56Speaker 1: and tell myself, I would definitely say, hey, bro, trust me.
- 9:00Speaker 8: Hercules. I'm just going over some things on there, bro.
- 9:02Speaker 8: You got a song called Hercules. Crazy. No Love Lost.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Crazy.
- 9:06Speaker 8: Hardaway.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 8: Remember you did the Remus with DJ Envy? Uh-huh. Shout
- 9:11Speaker 8: out to Envy. What up, Envy? Fed Up. That's literally
- 9:14Speaker 8: a song that I use to clean up in the house.
- 9:18Speaker 3: That's real.
- 9:18Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying?
- 9:19Speaker 7: It's literally in my playlist. My wife, my kids, we
- 9:22Speaker 7: know the words to that song.
- 9:23Speaker 8: We sing together.
- 9:24Speaker 1: That's what's up.
- 9:24Speaker 2: We love each other all the time. That's what's up.
- 9:26Speaker 5: You know, my cut is same way.
- 9:29Speaker 8: Pain is love is crazy, too, though.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:33Speaker 8: Bro, you had so many records on here, fam.
- 9:37Speaker 6: How does that make you feel, though, with the birth
- 9:41Speaker 6: of a lot of artists that kind of sound like you?
- 9:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I honestly don't have any specific feelings towards the situation itself,
- 9:54Speaker 1: but when it comes up, I'm like, it feel good
- 9:57Speaker 1: to be able to know that If I didn't do
- 10:00Speaker 1: anything I inspired people to be more real with they
- 10:03Speaker 1: self or to get it off you know what I'm
- 10:05Speaker 1: saying like to be able to go in there and
- 10:07Speaker 1: say what they say because I'm looking at it as
- 10:09Speaker 1: when I do it it's therapy you know what I'm
- 10:11Speaker 1: saying so if I'm helping another man regardless of him
- 10:16Speaker 1: being an artist or whatever he doing if I'm helping
- 10:18Speaker 1: him therapeutically by speaking they mind, then I love it.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm feeling like I'm doing what God want me to do.
- 10:27Speaker 6: Now, do you feel like you should have coined, like,
- 10:29Speaker 6: crowned yourself like, I'm the pain artist?
- 10:32Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I do it now. You know, I was
- 10:34Speaker 1: so quiet and humble.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Yeah. That's why it was more and more and more
- 10:38Speaker 2: and more, and now.
- 10:39Speaker 1: You got somebody that they quote-unquote think, you know, is
- 10:42Speaker 1: the one, but it's me. Never been the two. Yeah.
- 10:45Speaker 1: He said it.
- 10:47Speaker 3: He said it. Now, why haven't we kind of seen
- 10:50Speaker 3: some collabs with some of those artists? Because y'all do have.
- 10:53Speaker 8: You have a record with Moray, right?
- 10:55Speaker 6: Yep.
- 10:56Speaker 1: On the new album, I got a record with me, Moray,
- 10:58Speaker 1: and T-Rell.
- 10:59Speaker 8: Yeah, T-Rell is the other one. What up, T-Rell? But
- 11:02Speaker 8: are we ever going to see a ride wave with
- 11:04Speaker 8: the rest?
- 11:05Speaker 2: I'm with it. I'm waiting for it. I'm going to
- 11:08Speaker 2: speak it into his ear.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's coming.
- 11:11Speaker 3: It's going to happen.
- 11:11Speaker 8: That's what I like to hear.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It's going to happen.
- 11:14Speaker 8: Thanks. My bad, BT.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Before he blew up, then wasn't he more so not
- 11:21Speaker 7: reaching out to you?
- 11:22Speaker 1: I think in the beginning, before any of us was
- 11:27Speaker 1: where we are today, I think we was kind of
- 11:30Speaker 1: like our circles maybe have been.
- 11:34Speaker 8: Trying to make a collab happen?
- 11:35Speaker 3: Yeah. You know what I'm saying?
- 11:37Speaker 7: Okay.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I think like his brother, you know, I don't know
- 11:40Speaker 1: everybody say they brothers and stuff, but I know his
- 11:43Speaker 1: brother was working with a DJ, I believe, at Blue
- 11:46Speaker 1: River or something, and we tried to set something up. Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 6: Now, you spoke earlier about E5s. That's something that you've
- 11:54Speaker 6: been practicing?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Been practicing going on like five years now.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Now, I feel like E5 has become really popular in Atlanta.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:03Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:03Speaker 2: It has. But I think some people doing it for
- 12:10Speaker 2: the wrong reasons.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I do it because it's like the closest I think
- 12:14Speaker 1: that I've ever been to God spiritually than anything else
- 12:20Speaker 1: that I've ever tried. But shout out to everybody that
- 12:23Speaker 1: do their thing. But it's just I feel real closer.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I feel like I'm actually getting closer. The answers that
- 12:31Speaker 1: I need, the understanding that I need, I'm understanding why
- 12:35Speaker 1: I'm this way and that way. I'm understanding myself better.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I'm understanding people differently. So
- 12:41Speaker 1: some people do it for the wrong reason, but, you know,
- 12:43Speaker 1: at the end of the day, they're going to pay
- 12:44Speaker 1: for that.
- 12:45Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 12:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:49Speaker 6: Now, what's one of the valuable lessons that you learned
- 12:52Speaker 6: about being in this business? Because you've been in, you know,
- 12:55Speaker 6: record deals and things of that nature.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Yeah. A valuable lesson I learned is learn the business.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Actually know what you're doing. You're a product. Yeah, you
- 13:07Speaker 1: this person, you're this human or this machine or whatever
- 13:11Speaker 1: you want to call yourself, but it's still a business.
- 13:13Speaker 1: So the most valuable lesson I learned is actually be
- 13:16Speaker 1: involved in your business and learn your business.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Know what you're doing.
- 13:20Speaker 1: So you don't be mad when you make $ 100 million,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but you only get 10 or, You don't know how
- 13:26Speaker 1: many dollars you make on the stream, so how you
- 13:29Speaker 1: going to feel away with this person or that person. Like,
- 13:32Speaker 1: if you don't know your business, if you don't know
- 13:34Speaker 1: what you're doing, you will be frustrated. I was frustrated
- 13:39Speaker 1: in the beginning, but now I got everything pretty much together.
- 13:43Speaker 1: So learning business, the most valuable.
- 13:45Speaker 6: So you was more frustrated about, like, where my money going?
- 13:48Speaker 6: Or who got paid for this?
- 13:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I was frustrated because, for one, I used to see, like,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and I don't feel a way, you know what I'm saying?
- 13:57Speaker 1: I went through what I went through, and, like, again,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I take accountability for the position I'm in right now.
- 14:03Speaker 1: But I used to watch other artists I was cool
- 14:06Speaker 1: with at the time. Like, how the hell a bro got,
- 14:09Speaker 1: you know, not pocket watching, just wondering, like, damn. So
- 14:13Speaker 1: I had to be coming to open up for me.
- 14:14Speaker 1: How the fuck he riding around and da-da-da-da-da-da-da, and he
- 14:17Speaker 1: got this much money. How he got a million in
- 14:19Speaker 1: the book bag? Then I started looking at what was
- 14:22Speaker 1: going on around me like, hmm, this person got this
- 14:27Speaker 1: on my team. This person got this on my team.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I thought this was supposed to be going on, but
- 14:34Speaker 1: this is what's going on. So I started paying attention.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So now what I'm thinking of what I thought was
- 14:39Speaker 1: supposed to be done by, let's just say, I was
- 14:45Speaker 1: with commission. I thought commission was supposed to pay for this.
- 14:47Speaker 2: It's really me.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Or I'm going to have to pay it back. I
- 14:50Speaker 1: didn't know that. Or let's say my manager say, oh,
- 14:53Speaker 1: all the show money, we're going to use the front
- 14:56Speaker 1: for business and we're going to put the back in
- 14:57Speaker 1: your pocket. But then when you're using the front for
- 15:00Speaker 1: other things other than the business and I still got
- 15:02Speaker 1: to come out the back to pay for business, I'm confused.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Because if I got a million in the safe, it
- 15:07Speaker 1: should be a million in the front, you know what
- 15:08Speaker 1: I'm saying, for the business.
- 15:10Speaker 2: So, it was like that. Like, I learned through that.
- 15:13Speaker 5: You feel like you really trusted.
- 15:14Speaker 2: And I was frustrated. Like, nigga.
- 15:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 15:19Speaker 2: Like, I'll never forget one time.
- 15:20Speaker 8: Because this shit come at a cost.
- 15:21Speaker 1: It do.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I'll never forget one time, right?
- 15:25Speaker 1: It got to a point where I think the most
- 15:28Speaker 1: shows I did in a day was four.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Like, four shows back to back.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And it was like some afternoon stuff all the way
- 15:34Speaker 1: up until later on that night. And my manager at
- 15:38Speaker 1: the time booked a P.J., Now, in my mind.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I ain't paying for this. You know what I'm saying?
- 15:45Speaker 3: Right?
- 15:45Speaker 2: Because you didn't ask me.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 15:47Speaker 10: You know what I'm saying?
- 15:48Speaker 5: I wasn't aware.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I was not aware. You just tell me, pull up
- 15:51Speaker 1: to the thing, and we get on the plane, and
- 15:53Speaker 1: we dip. So we went from Atlanta, I want to
- 15:57Speaker 1: say to Florida, to Philly, back to Florida. You feel me?
- 16:02Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 16:03Speaker 2: So when I get back, you know what I'm saying?
- 16:05Speaker 1: And the craziest thing about that, too, he fired my
- 16:07Speaker 1: DJ on that flight and didn't say nothing either. So,
- 16:10Speaker 1: you see what I'm saying? It's stuff I didn't know.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I'm frustrated with my DJ. He done told my DJ
- 16:13Speaker 1: he fired. I'm calling him, hey, bro, where you at?
- 16:16Speaker 1: You ain't taking this shit seriously. Bro, I got fired.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Who fired you? But we in the plane. We on
- 16:20Speaker 1: the plane now.
- 16:21Speaker 5: You in the air.
- 16:22Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying?
- 16:22Speaker 1: So, now we going back and forth and then later
- 16:25Speaker 1: down the line, oh, yeah, how much you think that
- 16:29Speaker 1: PJ cost? Nigga, who told you to pay for it?
- 16:34Speaker 1: Why did you overbook me and then spend my money
- 16:36Speaker 1: for me?
- 16:37Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 16:38Speaker 2: It was a lot of that going on, like.
- 16:40Speaker 11: Do you think mentally, how did you navigate that first part?
- 16:45Speaker 11: Because I'm sure it was a shock when you had
- 16:47Speaker 11: to take it all in.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. At first, I wanted to do some things.
- 16:51Speaker 8: You wanted to hurt somebody.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:52Speaker 2: I probably would not be here right now.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Don't count.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I was ready to go there. Shout out to Rocky.
- 16:58Speaker 2: He stopped me. It was in motion. He stopped me.
- 17:01Speaker 2: He was like, and I'm going to tell you what
- 17:02Speaker 2: he said.
- 17:02Speaker 1: He said, bro, you still got a chance to be
- 17:06Speaker 1: the red, the sun, the legend, the superstar. But if
- 17:10Speaker 1: you go with this move, you're going to be the
- 17:12Speaker 1: nigga at McDonald's who they be like, oh, you used
- 17:14Speaker 1: to be the red sun. If you get out and
- 17:16Speaker 1: get a job. And that shit, I had to.
- 17:20Speaker 5: When you process that.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:22Speaker 5: It's being your ultimatum. Like, where did your mind go?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Man, to my kids.
- 17:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Because more than anything, I don't ever want them to
- 17:31Speaker 1: think I used to be nothing.
- 17:32Speaker 8: Right.
- 17:32Speaker 11: I am that.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I am that. I'm daddy.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I'm your protector.
- 17:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Whatever you need me to be, I'm there. I'm that.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:41Speaker 11: I love that.
- 17:42Speaker 5: I love that accountability.
- 17:43Speaker 11: So you were preceding the accountability. You kind of like
- 17:47Speaker 11: overindulging in.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Now you had it. Then that was your start.
- 17:50Speaker 2: That was the start.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 1: That's right. I had to put it all on the
- 17:53Speaker 1: table and realize today is not going to look like
- 17:57Speaker 1: tomorrow by a simple decision you make today.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Now back to the PJ.
- 18:03Speaker 8: When you were on.
- 18:05Speaker 6: The PJ, how was your feeling when you was going
- 18:09Speaker 6: on it?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Oh, we was arguing. Wait, y'all was arguing on the PJ? Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 1: because I'm like, bro, you don't run shit. Who you firing?
- 18:15Speaker 3: Oh, your DJ text you like.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Nah, we late. I'm late.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I was late. So he should have been there.
- 18:23Speaker 5: Right, right, right.
- 18:24Speaker 1: So when I get there, I'm on his ass. Yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 1: I'm on his ass.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Boy, where you at?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Boy, I see you can't be higher. Everybody else the superstar. Nigga,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I'm the star higher. I can be like, you can't
- 18:32Speaker 1: be like he. Nigga, I got fired. I said, who
- 18:36Speaker 1: the hell fired you? I ain't fired you. I don't
- 18:40Speaker 1: want to say by the name, but you know what
- 18:42Speaker 1: I'm saying? You know, he like shouted, said, woo, woo, woo.
- 18:44Speaker 1: And I'm like, all right, bro, my bad. I'm going
- 18:48Speaker 1: to get with you when I get back. hang up,
- 18:51Speaker 1: me and him arguing, nigga, who you think you is, bruh? Like,
- 18:54Speaker 1: you managed, nigga, you don't run, you know what I'm saying? So,
- 18:59Speaker 1: whatever happened, I can't really remember, it was so long ago,
- 19:01Speaker 1: but we go do what we do, we do the shows,
- 19:06Speaker 1: I get back, and I'm just like, you know, at
- 19:09Speaker 1: the moment, excited, I never been on a PJ, especially
- 19:12Speaker 1: not something like how I'm doing it, I got my
- 19:16Speaker 1: niggas with me, you know what I'm saying? And I
- 19:18Speaker 1: ain't never been on a plane, a plane, You feel me?
- 19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Let alone a P.J. So it was, I enjoyed the experience,
- 19:25Speaker 1: but later in life, I'm like, hey, hold on, wait, whoa, what?
- 19:29Speaker 1: You like, how much was that P.J.? Bro, it costed
- 19:32Speaker 1: $ 10, 000 to go here, $ 20, 000 to go there. Bro, who
- 19:35Speaker 1: in the hell thought that I wanted to pay that?
- 19:38Speaker 2: Bro, we could have.
- 19:39Speaker 6: And y'all could have all been first class.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Whole team could have been first class.
- 19:42Speaker 8: Whole team workers.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Even me, and at that time, I'm like, bro, we
- 19:46Speaker 1: could have broke these boogers down, brother. Like, we could
- 19:49Speaker 1: have took two here. Next week took two. Like, why
- 19:52Speaker 1: you want to do four all of them in one day?
- 19:54Speaker 1: You greedy.
- 19:55Speaker 2: You doing too much. And did you think about me?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Like, I'm going to have to perform here, get off here,
- 20:00Speaker 1: get on this plane, go to hell, perform, get off,
- 20:02Speaker 1: do the same thing.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Like, bro, you didn't think about me, did you? At once.
- 20:05Speaker 2: But a lot of frustration came from that.
- 20:08Speaker 11: Like, What did you learn to do differently now with
- 20:11Speaker 11: the people who you entrust to oversee your vision as
- 20:15Speaker 11: an artist?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 2: It's Manny.
- 20:17Speaker 1: It's Manny. That's what I'm saying. I've learned this business
- 20:21Speaker 1: because of Manny. Manny sit me down and read them 20,
- 20:26Speaker 1: 30 pages of contracts and shit to me.
- 20:29Speaker 5: Shout out to Manny.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Yeah, shout out to Manny.
- 20:30Speaker 1: When I don't want to hear it, hey, man, I
- 20:32Speaker 1: keep trying to get you to learn, bro. This what
- 20:35Speaker 1: you didn't do in the beginning. That's why you was
- 20:37Speaker 1: in the situation you was in. So now he'll call me,
- 20:40Speaker 1: no matter what it is. We sit down, we talk,
- 20:42Speaker 1: he read it. I don't know what a word means.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I'm even learning new vocabulary by sitting down and talking
- 20:46Speaker 1: to him.
- 20:47Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 20:48Speaker 1: Learning terminology, learning how certain words go before and after
- 20:52Speaker 1: certain words mean certain things. So it's like, yeah, now
- 20:57Speaker 1: I'm knowing. Manning Carlin. Hey, for example, I'm doing my
- 21:01Speaker 1: first festival that I'm headlining, like me, the Reds and Friends.
- 21:06Speaker 2: September 19th and 20th. With Atlanta Food Festival.
- 21:11Speaker 8: I was going to say, we going to be in Vegas.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 21:16Speaker 2: So with that, look.
- 21:17Speaker 1: So look, with that, he telling me like, hey, you
- 21:19Speaker 1: got to do the 19th and the 20th. And I
- 21:22Speaker 1: think I got to show the 17th as well. But
- 21:25Speaker 1: then Texas called like, hey, we want the 18th. And
- 21:28Speaker 1: he telling me like, hey, if you do this, you're
- 21:31Speaker 1: going to have to do this. You're going to have
- 21:32Speaker 1: to go there. You're going to have to catch a
- 21:34Speaker 1: layover for two hours here.
- 21:35Speaker 2: You're going to have to.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Can you do that? Instead of just doing it. And
- 21:38Speaker 1: then I miss it. And now we're getting food. You
- 21:40Speaker 1: see what I'm saying? So that's how it's happening now.
- 21:43Speaker 1: We go over it thoroughly. And if he know I.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Can't do something, he ain't even going for it.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I could be like, yeah, I can do it. You sure?
- 21:50Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah.
- 21:52Speaker 1: He'll see how the show going on the 17th. He'll
- 21:55Speaker 1: be like, nah. Hell nah, we ain't doing all that. No, sir.
- 21:59Speaker 7: Nah, it's good to have someone like Manny. I saw
- 22:03Speaker 7: how he definitely took you on his wing and embraced
- 22:07Speaker 7: you as family.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Facts. Family.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:09Speaker 8: Because I saw that firsthand.
- 22:11Speaker 7: I would like to say I'm proud of you, bro,
- 22:12Speaker 7: because we've had some private conversations where I.
- 22:16Speaker 8: Seen you in a bad mental space.
- 22:19Speaker 7: I mean, one time I was DJing, and I had someone,
- 22:23Speaker 7: I had to use the restroom in the club. So
- 22:26Speaker 7: I had a DJ cover me for like 15 minutes.
- 22:29Speaker 7: I'm going to use the restroom. I come back, and
- 22:31Speaker 7: I see Durant's. On the side patio, just like this
- 22:34Speaker 7: right here, staring off into the sky.
- 22:37Speaker 1: You remember that night? I don't know what we was at.
- 22:39Speaker 8: We was at 1145.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I was out in the back. Duh.
- 22:42Speaker 10: You were just staring out into the sky.
- 22:45Speaker 11: Hey, man.
- 22:46Speaker 10: And I told the DJ, young Fro, I said, Fro,
- 22:48Speaker 10: I need you to finish.
- 22:49Speaker 8: I got to go talk to the rest.
- 22:50Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:51Speaker 10: And we talked for about two hours. The club was over.
- 22:54Speaker 8: Lights came on.
- 22:54Speaker 1: You remember that night, man?
- 22:55Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 22:57Speaker 7: But we was outside on the back, and we was
- 22:59Speaker 7: just talking about life.
- 23:00Speaker 8: But you was telling me about some shit you had
- 23:02Speaker 8: going on.
- 23:03Speaker 2: It was going on.
- 23:05Speaker 8: You was fucked up.
- 23:05Speaker 2: The stars had me. They was holding me down. I'm
- 23:08Speaker 2: looking up there trying to figure it out.
- 23:09Speaker 10: He was just staring at the sky.
- 23:11Speaker 5: I ain't going to lie. I would see him on
- 23:13Speaker 5: Instagram and stuff.
- 23:14Speaker 11: You know how I am. I'm very, like, a spirit person. And, like,
- 23:18Speaker 11: that's why I always sing my prayers. Because I could
- 23:20Speaker 11: just tell you.
- 23:22Speaker 8: Was in it. Oh, okay.
- 23:26Speaker 11: I would always see him and I'd just be like, man,
- 23:29Speaker 11: I understand that there's not always an environment that's cultivated
- 23:33Speaker 11: for men to.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Just open up.
- 23:35Speaker 11: Especially when you don't know me from a can of paint.
- 23:37Speaker 11: And especially when you come from certain different backgrounds, man,
- 23:41Speaker 11: trust is hard. And so I think that's what spirituality
- 23:45Speaker 11: does is it opens your floodgates to trust.
- 23:48Speaker 5: And so for me.
- 23:49Speaker 11: that's kind of like how I began to sow my
- 23:51Speaker 11: seed when it came to you. That's why I've always
- 23:53Speaker 11: been so eager to have a conversation because I knew,
- 23:56Speaker 11: I don't know, there's some people where you see them
- 23:58Speaker 11: getting a rep and.
- 23:59Speaker 5: You know they ain't going to get out of it.
- 24:01Speaker 11: And you pray for them, but you just know, but
- 24:03Speaker 11: you just have like the spirit of a conqueror. And
- 24:06Speaker 11: I think that that's always like been exemplified in your music.
- 24:10Speaker 5: And I think in your.
- 24:11Speaker 11: Openness to say, you see it. So I've been praying
- 24:14Speaker 11: for you for a very long time.
- 24:15Speaker 5: That's why I listen to this album.
- 24:17Speaker 2: I swear I do.
- 24:17Speaker 5: It's like, It's true proudness. Like I hear your growth.
- 24:21Speaker 11: You're not angry, sad no more. Cause that's the shit
- 24:25Speaker 11: that'll keep you in a box. You're like alignment, your openness,
- 24:30Speaker 11: your spiritual sad.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Like I understand. I feel this. I'm acknowledging it. but
- 24:35Speaker 5: we moving forward.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Yeah, we got to.
- 24:37Speaker 8: And thank you, bro. You was one of the first
- 24:38Speaker 8: artists to rock with me and give me music.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you.
- 24:41Speaker 8: You was like one of the early artists that gave
- 24:42Speaker 8: me a song. I was like, hey, bro, I need
- 24:43Speaker 8: a song.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 24:44Speaker 8: All right, here. Already done.
- 24:47Speaker 10: I was like, wait.
- 24:48Speaker 8: I was like, damn, the Reds gave me a song song.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I was like, damn. You know what I'm saying?
- 24:52Speaker 8: So I always appreciate that.
- 24:53Speaker 3: You feel me?
- 24:54Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 24:54Speaker 10: Out of the albums, I know you got another one
- 24:56Speaker 10: for me, right?
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah, man. You know this for every other day. We
- 25:00Speaker 2: ain't never tripping.
- 25:01Speaker 1: It's for every other day.
- 25:02Speaker 8: Send me about two, I can pick.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Me too.
- 25:04Speaker 11: You remember what Tushar said? He said, man, you be
- 25:06Speaker 11: planting them seeds with people you never know.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Them relationships are everything.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you never know.
- 25:11Speaker 6: Like, I had a conversation with JD last night about that.
- 25:14Speaker 6: We was at Tyler the Creator's pop-up party, and he
- 25:17Speaker 6: was just talking about, like, he was talking to me
- 25:19Speaker 6: and Lil Yachty, and he was saying, like, relationships, like,
- 25:24Speaker 6: People don't understand the power of relationships because the social
- 25:27Speaker 6: media makes us so disconnected to where we don't believe
- 25:30Speaker 6: in relationships. And JD was like, man, I used to
- 25:33Speaker 6: come to parties like this all the time where there
- 25:35Speaker 6: was no sections and no phones and everybody's dancing. He's like,
- 25:38Speaker 6: that's how I met Lil Jon. Just being out and
- 25:42Speaker 6: just having a conversation with somebody that I really don't
- 25:44Speaker 6: know and build a relationship with them.
- 25:47Speaker 2: And bump right into what you need.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Even that, you... By chance, having to go to the restroom.
- 25:53Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 25:54Speaker 5: Then y'all have that moment.
- 25:55Speaker 8: That was an alignment situation.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Because if I wouldn't have had to go use the restroom,
- 25:59Speaker 7: I wouldn't have saw you, like, staring into the sky.
- 26:02Speaker 8: That was, like, y'all.
- 26:04Speaker 10: I ain't, ain't nobody. Yeah. Like, y'all, he was like this.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Ha, ha, ha, ha. Hey, it was many nights like that.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I was like, what is this nigga doing? I ain't
- 26:16Speaker 1: even into the club. I'm just like, man, what am
- 26:19Speaker 1: I doing?
- 26:19Speaker 10: No, wait, the party was packed.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 5: That's how you know, though.
- 26:24Speaker 8: Nigga, I was playing Dreams and Nightmares. Yes.
- 26:27Speaker 1: This like 2000, maybe 19. I don't know. Yeah.
- 26:30Speaker 8: I'm playing Dreams and Nightmares.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Wait a minute.
- 26:33Speaker 8: I got to go pee like a motherfucker.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I go pee.
- 26:35Speaker 10: I say, what the fuck is Red doing?
- 26:36Speaker 3: You were staring at the stars.
- 26:38Speaker 8: He was just staring, bro.
- 26:39Speaker 4: You know how that's like me when you zone out.
- 26:42Speaker 2: I still do that. I look at the sky and
- 26:44Speaker 2: get pees, though.
- 26:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I sit outside.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I look at the sky.
- 26:47Speaker 8: You remember that night, though, right?
- 26:49Speaker 1: I remember vividly some pieces of them things.
- 26:52Speaker 8: You told me about the daughter.
- 26:54Speaker 6: Who was upset.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you did what I'm saying?
- 26:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember pieces of that.
- 26:58Speaker 8: We'll talk.
- 26:59Speaker 1: We'll talk.
- 26:59Speaker 8: We'll sidebar.
- 27:00Speaker 11: I'm happy that you were obedient, too, but I'm also
- 27:03Speaker 11: happy to your openness to sit in it. People don't
- 27:07Speaker 11: understand the power of the type of men that you
- 27:09Speaker 11: guys choose to surround yourself by because- Not everybody makes
- 27:13Speaker 11: that a safe space, you know?
- 27:15Speaker 5: Like, even you being willing.
- 27:17Speaker 8: I had to go check on him. I was just like, damn.
- 27:18Speaker 11: You know, some people would have left that bathroom and
- 27:20Speaker 11: went straight back to DJing and just been like, fuck it, bro,
- 27:23Speaker 11: just looking at the stars, you know?
- 27:24Speaker 8: Something's wrong.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Yeah. It goes back to relationships.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:30Speaker 6: Relationships go a long way, and sometimes you got to
- 27:33Speaker 6: check on your strong friends.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Sometimes you got to check on your rich friends.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Sometimes you got to. Check on people that you think
- 27:38Speaker 1: got it all together.
- 27:39Speaker 5: Yes.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Because we really don't have it all together.
- 27:41Speaker 2: No, we don't.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I agree.
- 27:42Speaker 3: What success you have.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Facts.
- 27:44Speaker 6: I know richest niggas that you'll be like, why is
- 27:47Speaker 6: this nigga always depressed?
- 27:48Speaker 1: Facts.
- 27:49Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying?
- 27:51Speaker 10: Nigga, give me your money.
- 27:52Speaker 8: But what do they say?
- 27:53Speaker 11: More money, more problems. Your problems, you're just in a
- 27:56Speaker 11: different category of problems. And I think that that's why
- 27:59Speaker 11: y'all acknowledging that amongst each other is so powerful, especially
- 28:03Speaker 11: when you're in a particular bracket.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Because not everybody's going to think the reason.
- 28:07Speaker 5: Some people are too intimidated.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Like me.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Boy, I don't care who it is.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Boy, I'll talk to the president if your spirit off.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Hey, you all right? You okay?
- 28:15Speaker 11: Because some people are just waiting for that invitation for them.
- 28:18Speaker 8: To just say something.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Well, I get it. Like, I'm going to be honest
- 28:21Speaker 2: with you.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Before I actually really, like, became, like, the Red to Shine,
- 28:27Speaker 1: Platinum Record, all that, I used to be afraid to
- 28:31Speaker 1: become successful. Because my little world was already... All over
- 28:36Speaker 1: the place.
- 28:36Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 1: And I knew, like, once I got a little bit
- 28:40Speaker 1: of that, like, on the road, and now I'm seeing
- 28:43Speaker 1: everybody depend, like, if they wasn't depending on me then,
- 28:46Speaker 1: they depending on me now. For sure.
- 28:48Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 28:49Speaker 1: And I'm like, shh, man.
- 28:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:52Speaker 1: If I don't do this show, I can't do this.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I got partners that's locked up, like, hey, bro, do
- 28:56Speaker 1: this for me.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Yep.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Man, do this show for this mother fucker, man. They
- 29:00Speaker 1: going to throw me something new way. Like, it's like,
- 29:02Speaker 1: all right, I'm going to do it. It was times
- 29:06Speaker 1: where I was like, damn, bro, I'm buying this nigga
- 29:09Speaker 1: baby mama. Not his baby mama, but I'm buying this
- 29:12Speaker 1: nigga children diapers and baby food and putting groceries in
- 29:16Speaker 1: his mama's house. And, you know, tomorrow or next week
- 29:19Speaker 1: when that shit run out, he going to ask me again.
- 29:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:21Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? So having that money can
- 29:24Speaker 1: make you depressed, like literally. Because when I didn't have it,
- 29:27Speaker 1: nigga wasn't asking me to buy no fucking groceries. You
- 29:31Speaker 1: know what I'm saying?
- 29:31Speaker 8: That was part of the things we talked about.
- 29:33Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying?
- 29:34Speaker 12: That night.
- 29:34Speaker 1: So, see, it's kind of, yeah, oh, oh, yeah. But
- 29:37Speaker 1: that's scary.
- 29:38Speaker 8: I know what was really going on.
- 29:40Speaker 1: About 2019, bro. Okay, yeah. Can y'all tell us more?
- 29:43Speaker 10: Well, without his consent, I will say you was upset.
- 29:47Speaker 8: About finding out something about your daughter that pissed you off.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:51Speaker 8: It really bothered you.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:53Speaker 7: And it was the situation that you did the music
- 29:55Speaker 7: about when it was.
- 29:57Speaker 2: She keep picking these niggas over me.
- 29:59Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 7: But it was another situation where you almost lost your life.
- 30:06Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Okay, yeah. I know what you're talking about.
- 30:09Speaker 8: I guess that just happened.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. How many shots after that?
- 30:12Speaker 10: That had just happened.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Maybe a couple of days ago. Yeah, I know what
- 30:17Speaker 1: you're talking about.
- 30:18Speaker 10: And I just so happened to see you looking at
- 30:20Speaker 10: the stars.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Okay, yeah. Now I know where you at
- 30:23Speaker 2: with it.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Do you remember?
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember. That's after the truck got shot up.
- 30:28Speaker 2: That's when it had to be.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Your truck got shot up?
- 30:30Speaker 1: Twice in one night. They didn't complete the mission the
- 30:33Speaker 1: first time. Followed me and tried to do it the
- 30:35Speaker 1: second time and still didn't finish.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Because it wasn't meant.
- 30:39Speaker 8: I saw him a couple of days after that.
- 30:40Speaker 5: It wasn't meant for it to be there.
- 30:42Speaker 11: Yeah, that's what I tell you. What I tell you
- 30:43Speaker 11: is spirit of a conqueror.
- 30:45Speaker 8: And he was like, he was like, you wasn't depressed,
- 30:47Speaker 8: but you was like, I don't know. Like, you was
- 30:50Speaker 8: in a.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I was lost, bro.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Like, I was so lost because it was like.
- 30:55Speaker 8: And then you dropped that song, How Many Shots.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Yeah, like I'm so lost, right?
- 30:59Speaker 8: Go listen to that song, by the way.
- 31:01Speaker 1: You got people in my ear telling me one thing,
- 31:05Speaker 1: other people in my ear telling me another thing. Then
- 31:08Speaker 1: I had to go home and explain to my kids, like, hey,
- 31:13Speaker 1: you know, that almost just da-da-da-da-da-da-da. As I'm speaking, it's
- 31:19Speaker 1: debris and shit from the bricks hitting, the bullets hitting
- 31:22Speaker 1: the bricks in my shirt and shit falling and All
- 31:26Speaker 1: kind of, I'm like, God damn, like, all kind of,
- 31:29Speaker 1: and I think at that time, I just found out
- 31:31Speaker 1: my daughter was having sex and everything.
- 31:32Speaker 2: She was a looker.
- 31:33Speaker 8: I didn't want to say it.
- 31:34Speaker 1: You feel what I'm saying? Like, all this started happening.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I'm like, damn, my baby ain't even, what, what is
- 31:39Speaker 1: you doing?
- 31:39Speaker 2: So, you know what I'm saying?
- 31:41Speaker 8: I'm just all over the place. That was the conversation
- 31:43Speaker 8: we had. Yeah.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:44Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 31:44Speaker 2: So now it's coming to me.
- 31:45Speaker 8: See what I'm saying? I was the first person you
- 31:47Speaker 8: spoke to. Yeah.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Cause I ain't know what to do. And get with it.
- 31:49Speaker 1: And now I'm a granddad. And I had that same feeling.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I probably was standing at the start of the end,
- 31:54Speaker 1: but I ain't had nobody to talk to me then.
- 31:57Speaker 1: So that's what I had to do. I just had
- 32:00Speaker 1: to accept it and pull up to the hospital and
- 32:02Speaker 1: be like, y'all niggas going to call me G-Dad.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Not granddaddy, not papa.
- 32:08Speaker 1: They can't call you papa. No. I ain't old enough
- 32:12Speaker 1: for that word.
- 32:13Speaker 8: I know that, right.
- 32:14Speaker 1: You can call me G-Dad.
- 32:16Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 32:16Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 32:17Speaker 2: But, yeah, no, I do now. Yeah, it's all coming back.
- 32:20Speaker 11: I was lost, bro. When you look back and you
- 32:22Speaker 11: reminisce on the heaviness that you probably, like, were in
- 32:26Speaker 11: and existing in in that moment talking to him and
- 32:29Speaker 11: now talking to him now, how.
- 32:31Speaker 5: Do you feel?
- 32:32Speaker 1: Bro, I can't believe I made it through that situation.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I can't believe that I can even find a way
- 32:37Speaker 1: to smile today. Like, thinking about it now is kind
- 32:40Speaker 1: of like, damn, I did do that. I did go
- 32:43Speaker 1: through that. I was in a dark-ass place. And I
- 32:46Speaker 1: can't believe that now I'm, like, full of joy. I'm
- 32:50Speaker 1: seeking love. Hold on.
- 32:51Speaker 7: Wait.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Let me clarify that, though.
- 32:55Speaker 7: I'm going to interrupt you a little bit because I
- 32:57Speaker 7: want to say, what was it, last year?
- 32:59Speaker 8: What happened? What was going on when you dyed your hair, fam?
- 33:02Speaker 1: Oh, man, that was for mental health. I did that
- 33:05Speaker 1: because who would be bolder than me?
- 33:06Speaker 2: I'm that guy.
- 33:07Speaker 8: Okay.
- 33:07Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying?
- 33:08Speaker 8: Okay.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Them colors, every color I had in my hair meant
- 33:11Speaker 1: something for mental health.
- 33:12Speaker 2: For me, it's mental health.
- 33:13Speaker 8: I was scrolling. I was like, what the hell he
- 33:15Speaker 8: got going on? I had some shit going on, so
- 33:18Speaker 8: I just kept scrolling.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it was difficult.
- 33:20Speaker 8: He said, I had some shit going on.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I had some shit.
- 33:23Speaker 8: He was on me.
- 33:24Speaker 1: He said, hold up.
- 33:25Speaker 8: My shit fucked up.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Hey, my shit fucked up right now, too.
- 33:27Speaker 8: I don't know what's going on. I ain't even getting
- 33:29Speaker 8: a give right now.
- 33:30Speaker 1: You know what?
- 33:31Speaker 8: And that's good.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Sometimes people got money.
- 33:33Speaker 8: I know you had some shit going on.
- 33:35Speaker 1: That's why you got to be like, Let me keep scrolling.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Let me keep going.
- 33:43Speaker 11: And you know what? You can love people, but not
- 33:46Speaker 11: everybody is always your assignment. So it's like, you know,
- 33:49Speaker 11: sometimes you got to let God be God.
- 33:51Speaker 8: And let God take people through stuff.
- 33:52Speaker 1: I'm learning that right now. I really said, what the
- 33:54Speaker 1: hell is that right now? And then I just was like,
- 33:57Speaker 1: I get out of it. I did it for mental health.
- 33:59Speaker 1: It was Men's Mental Health Month. And I was like,
- 34:02Speaker 1: what can I do as an artist to.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Bring light to that.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Yeah, like bring light to that. And for one, make
- 34:10Speaker 1: people ask, what y'all got going on? So now when
- 34:14Speaker 1: you ask me what I got going on, obviously it
- 34:16Speaker 1: look like I'm going through something, right? Obviously this is
- 34:19Speaker 1: something I never, ever did and you would never see
- 34:22Speaker 1: me doing. So now I can tell you, oh, I
- 34:24Speaker 1: did this for Men's Mental Health Month. All these different
- 34:27Speaker 1: colors stand for different aura colors and what it mean. Depression, loneliness, sadness,
- 34:32Speaker 1: all of the purple, the blue, the green. The red.
- 34:35Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I can tell them what
- 34:37Speaker 1: all them colors meant. And then I go back to,
- 34:40Speaker 1: I'll tell you, the idea came from Joker. And I'm
- 34:43Speaker 1: going to tell you how I thought about it.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I'm like, damn.
- 34:44Speaker 8: Joker the character?
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yeah, the Joker the character. I'm like, I wonder what
- 34:48Speaker 2: made them die.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Joker, hell green. Like, I really wondered. I got to
- 34:53Speaker 1: doing some research on stuff. And I learned that a
- 34:58Speaker 1: superhero is the exact same thing as a villain.
- 35:02Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 35:02Speaker 2: It's just a.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Superhero express their superheroism in a positive way and try
- 35:09Speaker 1: to prevent you from feeling the pain they went through.
- 35:12Speaker 1: And the villain wants you to feel.
- 35:14Speaker 2: The pain they went through. You see what I'm saying?
- 35:17Speaker 1: So then I got to saying, damn, what the hell
- 35:19Speaker 1: Joker been through? Don't quote me, but anything can be
- 35:25Speaker 1: told on the internet, but Joker always felt alone. I
- 35:29Speaker 1: think Joker was like Batman had a brother, but He
- 35:32Speaker 1: got the riches, and Bruce Wayne adopted him, and they
- 35:36Speaker 1: loved him and stuff like that. But Joke is supposedly
- 35:39Speaker 1: his ab brother that the world was dark and rough
- 35:41Speaker 1: on him, and he didn't know what to do.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I'm going to have to check that out. It was
- 35:45Speaker 2: a joke.
- 35:45Speaker 1: We ain't got to check. They're going to tell us
- 35:47Speaker 1: in the comments. It was always a joke. Yeah, they're
- 35:49Speaker 1: going to tell us.
- 35:50Speaker 8: I read it now.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I read that. They're going to tell us in the comments.
- 35:54Speaker 10: Look, I know what I read.
- 35:56Speaker 1: But look, they said... You know, it was a joke
- 36:00Speaker 1: to Joker. Everybody made fun of him. That's where the
- 36:04Speaker 1: joke come from.
- 36:05Speaker 2: It's a joke. Until he became that villain. Now the
- 36:08Speaker 2: joke's on you.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? So then I go to, damn,
- 36:12Speaker 1: what was he going through when he was in the
- 36:15Speaker 1: psych ward or whatever the case may be like?
- 36:17Speaker 2: Because Joker had to go through that. What it was called?
- 36:19Speaker 1: The psych ward he was in. I know what you're
- 36:24Speaker 1: talking about.
- 36:24Speaker 2: I forgot.
- 36:26Speaker 8: Anyway.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 36:28Speaker 1: He was going through depression, goddamn schizophrenia, all that kind
- 36:32Speaker 1: of stuff. So then I don't even know how. I
- 36:35Speaker 1: just looked up what aura colors are for these things. Yeah.
- 36:38Speaker 1: And it came back the colors of Joe Gale. I said,
- 36:41Speaker 1: these folks deep. So I said, I want to do that.
- 36:43Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 36:44Speaker 2: That's hard.
- 36:44Speaker 1: So when they ask me, I'm going to say this,
- 36:46Speaker 1: and I'm going to go here, and then it's going
- 36:47Speaker 1: to be like something to talk about.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:49Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 2: So that's what I did it for. Yeah. It was
- 36:53Speaker 2: a meaning.
- 36:53Speaker 7: Now, what's this clip going online about your lady cheated
- 36:57Speaker 7: on you?
- 36:57Speaker 8: And then you made a song. Is this legit or
- 36:59Speaker 8: is this content?
- 37:00Speaker 7: Which one?
- 37:01Speaker 2: I'm going to say this. It's water under the bridge.
- 37:06Speaker 2: We done moved on. We are good parents. We friends.
- 37:11Speaker 8: Oh, so this is true.
- 37:13Speaker 6: He said it's water under the bridge. Water under the
- 37:19Speaker 6: bridge means we have moved on.
- 37:22Speaker 8: I just see the clip circulating, though.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Yeah, man. I see it, too.
- 37:25Speaker 2: I ain't going to lie to you. I'm going to
- 37:26Speaker 2: be a honey. You know me.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I ain't the type of person to, like, my heart
- 37:30Speaker 1: so big, even if that was true, I wouldn't want to, like,
- 37:34Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying?
- 37:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:36Speaker 11: And you know, when you get in a good space
- 37:38Speaker 11: with co-parenting, boy, you got to keep it.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, okay. Wait, so you said this on the internet?
- 37:42Speaker 2: Nah, this is my first time saying it.
- 37:44Speaker 3: No, I'm saying the clip that you talking about, it
- 37:47Speaker 3: was said on the internet.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Oh, no, so what he talking about.
- 37:49Speaker 2: It's on the title.
- 37:50Speaker 1: So basically, one of my singles that came out, What
- 37:54Speaker 1: You Want, from the new project, I'm speaking on some things.
- 37:57Speaker 2: About a girl trip.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 37:59Speaker 1: And they brought up an old video clip of my
- 38:03Speaker 1: ex saying some things, you know, that I didn't find. Gotcha.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Yeah. And now they trying to put one and two together. Like, oh,
- 38:13Speaker 2: he talking about her.
- 38:14Speaker 5: The internet.
- 38:14Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 38:15Speaker 3: The internet.
- 38:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 38:16Speaker 3: The internet. The internet is the real researchers.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:20Speaker 3: You don't even need Google no more.
- 38:22Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Hey, but yeah, it's true. I mean, hold on.
- 38:25Speaker 1: It's not true that I'm replying, but I went through that.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Okay. You get what I'm saying?
- 38:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I went through that. Yeah, I went through that.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Discovering the person I love over here playing with somebody else.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it broke my heart. I had to put it
- 38:39Speaker 2: in the music. That's what I do.
- 38:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:40Speaker 2: I go through it, rap about it, sing about it.
- 38:43Speaker 11: I think I appreciate the fact that even when you
- 38:46Speaker 11: articulated your feelings in that song, it wasn't like, fuck
- 38:49Speaker 11: that bitch.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 8: Was it another fat boy?
- 38:53Speaker 2: Nah, hell nah.
- 38:54Speaker 1: You the skinny nigga? Yeah, that's what made me really...
- 38:56Speaker 1: That's what really kind of like broke my heart a
- 38:58Speaker 1: little bit.
- 38:59Speaker 8: Fuck the skinny dick.
- 39:00Speaker 2: This nigga.
- 39:00Speaker 8: Nah, look.
- 39:01Speaker 1: I'm sick of you. This nigga done total exact... We
- 39:04Speaker 1: being serious right now, right? We being serious.
- 39:06Speaker 10: Have my boy, dog.
- 39:07Speaker 8: We been talking to him like that.
- 39:08Speaker 1: So are we still being serious?
- 39:10Speaker 4: We being serious.
- 39:11Speaker 8: Have my boy.
- 39:11Speaker 10: He said I was the one that had a fat boy.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Nah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:14Speaker 3: You can.
- 39:15Speaker 1: It's funny now. Yeah, we can laugh about it. He cool.
- 39:18Speaker 1: He said it's funny now.
- 39:18Speaker 2: The funny part is it was... These niggas was the
- 39:22Speaker 2: exact opposite of me.
- 39:25Speaker 8: Oh, plural. Yeah.
- 39:26Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? The exact opposite. I'm like,
- 39:29Speaker 2: these niggas.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Stand with a low cut. This nigga short as hell.
- 39:34Speaker 1: This nigga tall. This nigga black as fuck. You know what?
- 39:37Speaker 4: That dude be the worst when you get cheated on.
- 39:39Speaker 5: And they're the complete opposite. Because you be like, am
- 39:40Speaker 5: I even your type?
- 39:42Speaker 1: Right. Exactly.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Am I even your type?
- 39:45Speaker 1: Listen, man.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I'm glad we on this. Because a long time ago.
- 39:48Speaker 10: Let's talk about it.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:49Speaker 2: A long time ago, right, when I used to hear
- 39:51Speaker 2: certain things.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Like, imagine you sitting in the living room with your
- 39:54Speaker 1: girl and her family or whatever. And then she like, mm.
- 39:59Speaker 1: And you get the, what you, what, what? What you, what?
- 40:03Speaker 1: What you meanin' about? What you see? What do you
- 40:06Speaker 1: see that you like?
- 40:07Speaker 10: Talk to me.
- 40:08Speaker 2: What do you see up there?
- 40:10Speaker 1: Oh, he's a handsome man.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Da-da-da-da.
- 40:13Speaker 1: That nigga got a damn 12-pack. I never even seen
- 40:18Speaker 1: a 12-pack before. He got ass all the way down
- 40:21Speaker 1: to his, you know what I mean?
- 40:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:23Speaker 1: You like that? I mean, no, you know, he's just,
- 40:25Speaker 1: you know, women, you know, women, da-da-da-da-da-da. And then when
- 40:29Speaker 1: the teen situation go on, and you.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Look and be like, hold on.
- 40:33Speaker 1: There were signs. I wasn't wrong, bitch.
- 40:35Speaker 5: You like skinny.
- 40:36Speaker 8: You like this skinny, black-ass shit.
- 40:38Speaker 10: You like that? That's what you went to?
- 40:40Speaker 11: Yeah. Yeah. You know, people try to make it like,
- 40:42Speaker 11: when you have that intuition, like, they automatically deem it
- 40:46Speaker 11: as being insecurity.
- 40:47Speaker 4: But I feel like it's a human.
- 40:48Speaker 5: For a man that do that.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Yes.
- 40:49Speaker 4: I feel like it's like a human instinct, though.
- 40:51Speaker 11: Like, if I love you and I see you looking
- 40:53Speaker 11: at some other shit that don't look like me, what
- 40:54Speaker 11: the hell?
- 40:54Speaker 8: I feel like if a man's insecure, we're not too
- 40:57Speaker 8: far off.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Exactly. Even if it is insecure.
- 40:59Speaker 8: We really don't give a fuck.
- 41:00Speaker 2: I know.
- 41:01Speaker 10: So if I give a fuck and I feel insecure
- 41:03Speaker 10: about something, you made.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Me do that.
- 41:05Speaker 6: Look, men, we might not have intuition, but we got
- 41:08Speaker 6: our spider senses.
- 41:09Speaker 1: When the motherfuckers start tingling, we know some shit going on.
- 41:14Speaker 1: What does the word insecure actually mean?
- 41:17Speaker 8: There you go. What does it mean?
- 41:18Speaker 1: Do we know?
- 41:19Speaker 8: I don't think.
- 41:20Speaker 5: Should we Google it? Let's Google it.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, let's Google it. Because I can understand, oh.
- 41:23Speaker 2: I feel secured or I don't feel secured.
- 41:26Speaker 1: I feel like the word insecure is becoming.
- 41:27Speaker 2: It's confidence.
- 41:28Speaker 8: It's a confidence thing.
- 41:29Speaker 3: But I feel like. But it's becoming a deflection.
- 41:31Speaker 11: It means not confident, uncertain, or lacking self-confidence or not
- 41:35Speaker 11: safe or protected.
- 41:36Speaker 8: There you go.
- 41:37Speaker 3: But it's becoming a deflection word.
- 41:40Speaker 8: Usually, man don't give a fuck.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I've been saying. I ain't never been
- 41:45Speaker 1: insecure if that's the case. You know what I'm saying?
- 41:48Speaker 7: If there's a slight insecurity that you're making me feel,
- 41:51Speaker 7: I might be right.
- 41:52Speaker 1: When them spider senses go off. I ain't insecure because
- 41:57Speaker 1: I ain't tripping. But it's when I get to seeing
- 42:00Speaker 1: you twinkling your eye a little bit at the nigga
- 42:03Speaker 1: that's giving us the food or the drink or Yeah.
- 42:06Speaker 2: You know, we had to drive through. Hey, oh, what's up, love?
- 42:09Speaker 1: Hey, hold on.
- 42:10Speaker 8: So this is my thing.
- 42:11Speaker 10: If you can take my lady, she not my lady.
- 42:14Speaker 1: And that's real. It took me a long time to
- 42:15Speaker 1: learn that.
- 42:16Speaker 6: Yeah, if she going to the club hugging every security guy,
- 42:21Speaker 6: she got to tell you to hold on. She got
- 42:22Speaker 6: to go to the section to go speak to some
- 42:24Speaker 6: other man.
- 42:24Speaker 2: You're like, hold on, man.
- 42:25Speaker 1: That ain't security. That's what you doing.
- 42:27Speaker 2: You're like, hold on, man.
- 42:28Speaker 1: What the hell you got going on?
- 42:30Speaker 5: You know what?
- 42:30Speaker 11: That's a lack of boundaries, too, because I've been having
- 42:33Speaker 11: this conversation lately, too. It'd be like, when you enter
- 42:35Speaker 11: into a relationship, you're making a covenant with having certain.
- 42:38Speaker 5: Respect for people, that person, you know?
- 42:41Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 42:42Speaker 11: The stuff you do when you single, you should not
- 42:45Speaker 11: be carrying on with that or you should stay single.
- 42:47Speaker 3: You know why?
- 42:47Speaker 8: You guys know why?
- 42:48Speaker 7: Because we skipping those parts and we going straight to fuck.
- 42:53Speaker 3: You right.
- 42:53Speaker 5: That's the problem.
- 42:53Speaker 6: You right.
- 42:54Speaker 1: This is true.
- 42:54Speaker 3: And now you.
- 42:56Speaker 10: Over here start looking at the other shit. You be like, nah,
- 42:58Speaker 10: I don't like that. First of all, you need to
- 42:59Speaker 10: back it up.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Let's talk about it.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Ain't nobody rolling out they list. This is my insecure list.
- 43:05Speaker 10: You know what I'm saying?
- 43:06Speaker 1: And then you over here, now you trying to cross
- 43:08Speaker 1: shit off the list.
- 43:09Speaker 3: No.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Hey, I'm going to tell you the truth. I'm doing
- 43:11Speaker 2: that now.
- 43:12Speaker 1: That's why I slowed it down when I said I'm
- 43:14Speaker 1: trying to find love, not from a female.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 43:17Speaker 1: See, every time I talk to y'all, I fumble across words.
- 43:22Speaker 1: I got to be careful. Because these folks will get, oh,
- 43:25Speaker 1: you don't fall in love with females.
- 43:26Speaker 8: You like it, dog.
- 43:27Speaker 5: Just chill.
- 43:28Speaker 1: You feel me? You got to be direct when you
- 43:31Speaker 1: speak down on social media.
- 43:32Speaker 5: You do.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I'm not looking for a relationship at all.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Because the more that I look at females, right, I'm like, no.
- 43:42Speaker 1: She do hair?
- 43:42Speaker 2: Hell no. She do now? Oh, fuck, no.
- 43:45Speaker 8: Stop, bro. Stop. Wait, stop.
- 43:47Speaker 7: This is why, one time for my wife, Tanisha. Tanisha
- 43:50Speaker 7: is me in a woman body. We literally have the
- 43:54Speaker 7: same brain. She like the shit that I like. We
- 43:58Speaker 7: do the shit. We don't want a whole bunch of
- 44:00Speaker 7: company at the house. How many times you been in
- 44:01Speaker 7: my house?
- 44:03Speaker 1: Once.
- 44:03Speaker 8: J-Rod, how many times you been in my house?
- 44:06Speaker 1: Twice.
- 44:06Speaker 7: Twice.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I ain't invite motherfuckers to the house.
- 44:09Speaker 10: She ain't invite motherfuckers to the house.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Perfect.
- 44:11Speaker 10: We're aligned on that.
- 44:12Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 44:13Speaker 10: When I get off work, I'm off work. When she
- 44:16Speaker 10: get off work, she off work.
- 44:17Speaker 8: Off work. When I'm not doing Ferrari shit, I'm not friendly.
- 44:21Speaker 8: She not friendly, period.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 44:23Speaker 1: See, that's beautiful, man. That's my boy.
- 44:25Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 44:26Speaker 7: What I'm trying to tell everybody is find yourself in
- 44:30Speaker 7: the other species' body.
- 44:33Speaker 1: It's hard to do that. It's going to work. Nigga,
- 44:35Speaker 1: I know. I don't think I ever find a Miss
- 44:37Speaker 1: Derez Deshaun.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you will.
- 44:39Speaker 8: You want me to tell you something?
- 44:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you will.
- 44:40Speaker 1: How? You're going to find her.
- 44:42Speaker 10: She's going to find you.
- 44:44Speaker 2: There you go.
- 44:44Speaker 5: You know where it comes from.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Communication.
- 44:46Speaker 8: Stop looking, bro.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Let her find you.
- 44:51Speaker 4: You see the way you just broke that down?
- 44:52Speaker 8: She might be around you and you ain't paying attention.
- 44:54Speaker 11: You can communicate who you are. I think, too, that's
- 44:58Speaker 11: why your journey that you're going on now. A lot
- 45:00Speaker 11: of women and men, we don't have productive relationships because
- 45:03Speaker 11: we don't know ourself. And if you don't know yourself,
- 45:06Speaker 11: how can I tell you who I am? How can
- 45:08Speaker 11: I show you who I am? I can't demonstrate anything
- 45:10Speaker 11: because I'm still figuring it out.
- 45:12Speaker 8: And by the time you figure it out, it's toxic. Right.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Two babies are there.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Yes.
- 45:17Speaker 8: That's why you have to hate each other.
- 45:19Speaker 3: But look, that's why you got to know yourself.
- 45:22Speaker 8: You got to say, this is what I like.
- 45:24Speaker 3: This is what I don't like. You do some shit
- 45:27Speaker 3: like this, I'm gone.
- 45:28Speaker 1: It's over. No, for real, you got to start setting
- 45:31Speaker 1: boundaries like this.
- 45:32Speaker 8: No, for real.
- 45:33Speaker 6: I know the shit I don't like, and I know
- 45:35Speaker 6: the shit I like, and I know the shit that
- 45:36Speaker 6: if you do, I'm gone.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 45:38Speaker 11: Because everybody has non-negotiables and then you have things that, hey,
- 45:42Speaker 11: I may never have been with this before, but this
- 45:44Speaker 11: is just something I haven't been exposed to in a
- 45:46Speaker 11: healthy environment.
- 45:47Speaker 1: So I think you just got to know both. That
- 45:49Speaker 1: part right there, that what you just said, I'm actually
- 45:51Speaker 1: doing that right now.
- 45:52Speaker 7: Good.
- 45:53Speaker 2: With my ex, you know, shout out to her. They
- 45:56Speaker 2: got married.
- 45:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:57Speaker 1: So I don't know. I never experienced that part of co-parenting.
- 46:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:04Speaker 2: My kids got a stepdad and all.
- 46:05Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 46:06Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 46:06Speaker 1: So in the beginning, I used to be, in the beginning,
- 46:10Speaker 1: I used to be.
- 46:10Speaker 8: Yeah, it is.
- 46:12Speaker 2: In the beginning, like, no cap.
- 46:15Speaker 8: It bothered you?
- 46:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it really did.
- 46:17Speaker 1: And I can say again, I take accountability because I
- 46:20Speaker 1: probably could have messed their relationship up off of my bullshit.
- 46:23Speaker 8: For sure.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Trying to stand on business by my kids. But from
- 46:28Speaker 1: my understanding, he's a good man to my ex and
- 46:32Speaker 1: my kids, not just her.
- 46:33Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 46:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 46:35Speaker 2: And to be honest, my oldest one was like, yeah.
- 46:37Speaker 8: That shit could be fucked up. Yeah.
- 46:39Speaker 2: She was like, you need to talk to him.
- 46:40Speaker 3: Be cool with him.
- 46:41Speaker 2: He's a good guy.
- 46:42Speaker 4: I think that's the part that says a lot.
- 46:44Speaker 1: That is such a blessing to have. And it was
- 46:46Speaker 1: even to the point where, like, my daughter had games.
- 46:48Speaker 1: And I'm like, shout out that I ain't going. And
- 46:51Speaker 1: she was like, I want my daughter. I want you
- 46:53Speaker 1: to go. I want both of y'all to.
- 46:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:56Speaker 4: Them kids, those kids will humble your heart, though.
- 46:58Speaker 3: Hey, the kids will humble you, boy.
- 46:59Speaker 10: I ain't gonna lie.
- 47:00Speaker 11: That's how my daughter was when her dad got married, like,
- 47:04Speaker 11: I was very, I think, conscious of that because I
- 47:06Speaker 11: grew up with a stepdad. And so when she got married,
- 47:11Speaker 11: I didn't really have no background on her stepmother. And
- 47:14Speaker 11: so I had to establish that even to her dad
- 47:17Speaker 11: because that is also the responsibility of the parent. We
- 47:20Speaker 11: don't want to come into a hostile, but a lot
- 47:22Speaker 11: of that protector that comes up is like, I don't
- 47:24Speaker 11: know you.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 47:26Speaker 4: And that's all it is.
- 47:27Speaker 11: So what you do is you address the actual problem
- 47:30Speaker 11: at the source.
- 47:31Speaker 5: I don't know you, so what's the solution to that?
- 47:33Speaker 5: I got to get to know you.
- 47:34Speaker 3: You're right.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I don't know you.
- 47:35Speaker 1: I got to get to know you.
- 47:36Speaker 7: And on some man shit, you know, he's in your
- 47:40Speaker 7: form of pudding, and he's putting his sausage in your
- 47:45Speaker 7: own microwave.
- 47:47Speaker 8: And you know how that microwave used to work.
- 47:49Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 47:50Speaker 10: And you know all the things.
- 47:53Speaker 1: He want me to tell the truth. All right.
- 47:57Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 47:57Speaker 10: So in the beginning, all that played a part. You
- 48:01Speaker 10: know what I'm saying?
- 48:02Speaker 1: All that did play a part. You like, if I
- 48:05Speaker 1: see that nigga at the game, nigga, it's up. You
- 48:07Speaker 1: let that nigga know.
- 48:08Speaker 8: I know she like, God damn. He's a good guy.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Nah, you let that nigga know it's smoke when I
- 48:15Speaker 1: see it.
- 48:15Speaker 5: Hey, look.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Hey, let me tell y'all some real shit, bro. This
- 48:18Speaker 1: real shit. So the first time I met the dude, right,
- 48:22Speaker 1: you know, face to face or whatever.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Damn, I hope I ain't kicking nobody.
- 48:26Speaker 1: No, no, no, no.
- 48:27Speaker 8: No, you're good.
- 48:28Speaker 1: The whole time, you're a good guy. It was my
- 48:31Speaker 1: daughter's birthday, my younger daughter's birthday. And everybody was just so, like,
- 48:38Speaker 1: watching me.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Every step I take, they.
- 48:40Speaker 8: It be like that.
- 48:42Speaker 2: They're like, what he doing?
- 48:44Speaker 8: What he doing?
- 48:45Speaker 1: And, you know, my ex pulled him to the side like, hey, look,
- 48:48Speaker 1: you know. You're doing a good job. We did not
- 48:51Speaker 1: expect you to come this way.
- 48:54Speaker 8: And you were probably different because you're also Derez Deshaun.
- 48:57Speaker 1: You dig what I'm saying? Yeah.
- 49:00Speaker 5: They was expecting to crash out.
- 49:02Speaker 1: They was expecting to crash out. My daughter told me.
- 49:04Speaker 8: You had all your shit on.
- 49:05Speaker 1: You had all your shit on. I don't even know
- 49:06Speaker 1: how I came.
- 49:07Speaker 2: I think I might have.
- 49:08Speaker 1: I don't remember. I don't know how I came. Listen,
- 49:12Speaker 1: my daughter told me like, yeah, Dad, I told him
- 49:15Speaker 1: that he gonna have to hide under the table when
- 49:16Speaker 1: you come because you gonna beat him up. Oh, my God.
- 49:19Speaker 1: So that hurted me to him.
- 49:21Speaker 8: Like, I'm not finished. In all seriousness, yes.
- 49:23Speaker 1: You feel me?
- 49:24Speaker 8: Yeah, for sure.
- 49:25Speaker 2: I ain't gonna beat nobody up.
- 49:27Speaker 1: And we went outside, like, and I give it to him, like,
- 49:30Speaker 1: I respect him, you know what I'm saying? Even with
- 49:33Speaker 1: my daughter and her family telling him that, he like,
- 49:36Speaker 1: what's up, bro?
- 49:37Speaker 2: Shit, let's go chop it up.
- 49:39Speaker 5: I'm like, And see, them the ones you respect. That
- 49:42Speaker 5: was the first.
- 49:43Speaker 1: You know, they're like, are you trying to have a duel? Look,
- 49:45Speaker 1: I'm like, you sure, nigga? That's what I'm thinking at first. Like,
- 49:50Speaker 1: you sure? Because I can get you out of here.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Ain't no telling what might happen. And then I had

- 54:21Speaker 11: go through the emotional turmoil that you've endured the last

- 54:26Speaker 11: place to articulate like look i was fucked up but
- 54:30Speaker 11: i'm getting better now guess what that does for listeners
- 54:33Speaker 11: it encourages them.
- 54:34Speaker 5: Like okay peace he's good You know what I mean?
- 54:38Speaker 5: And now when they see you out, they'll be like,
- 54:40Speaker 5: are you doing all right?
- 54:41Speaker 11: They're going to start asking those questions, and that is
- 54:44Speaker 11: how God sends you miracles, signs, and wonders to have
- 54:47Speaker 11: you have that remembrance while you're doing the work. Because
- 54:50Speaker 11: sometimes the checks ain't always getting cash quick.
- 54:53Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying?
- 54:54Speaker 11: So when you're doing the work, you're sowing the seed,
- 54:56Speaker 11: but you got to understand your purpose is bigger than that.
- 54:59Speaker 2: I did.
- 55:00Speaker 1: I recently came to understand with that after even dropping

- 55:38Speaker 6: Everybody goes through ups and downs in their life, career, relationships,
- 55:43Speaker 6: and it makes the music better that you say, oh,
- 55:46Speaker 6: He just like me or she just like.
- 55:48Speaker 11: Me, 100%.
