Sometimes we think

truth is something we possess.

Something we prove.

Defend.

Or master.

But some of the deepest truths in our lives

were never learned that way.

We learned them

through being loved.

Welcomed.

Nurtured.

Embraced.

Through learning how to love God,

ourselves more fully,

and our neighbors as ourselves.
