- 0:44Thank you for joining us this week.
- 0:46It is April first spring has sprung.
- 0:50We are here the clown car, the clown show is is is at it again.
- 0:56We have a lot of people in chat now.
- 1:00We got Mr. Tim. He's bored.
- 1:02He thought this, he thought he would be all up in this patch,
- 1:07but he can't get, he can't, just can't get into the grind.
- 1:11Yeah, wow. Black Wicket in chat.
- 1:14Wicket telling us we're clowns, Yeah.
- 1:19I might have similar feelings to both of them to be honest with
- 1:21you. Well listen nerds, why don't you
- 1:24just play the game? Just play the game.
- 1:27Just play the game. Just.
- 1:30Shut up. You know, sit back.
- 1:33What would you do? You gave him, you gave him
- 1:35$45.00. Give him $150.00, three, $100.
- 1:40You give him $60,000. There's a nerd.
- 1:46That's it's nobody's problem but your own.
- 1:50All right, True. You got a new patch out.
- 1:53It's it's maybe it's 80° outside 34 if you're into Celsius or
- 1:59whatever. OK, you're talking to me.
- 2:04I am talking to you. I'm talking to anyone who's
- 2:07experiencing 80°F today. Yeah, well, Duke is up there.
- 2:11Duke is Duke is up there in the cold.
- 2:14Duke, Duke later the second my Co host on this on this
- 2:17wonderful show. Duke later.
- 2:19How you doing buddy? Doing good.
- 2:22I'm I'm bitter about not being 80°, but I'm good.
- 2:25I'm good. The patch is is really smooth.
- 2:28That's one thing. I just want to say, yeah, I find
- 2:30it really, really smooth. You know what?
- 2:33Like. Bada.
- 2:35You're fucking right. Dude, I I am fucking right.
- 2:37Yeah. Of all the things, you know,
- 2:40everyone's talking about, you know, new features and crafting
- 2:43and this and that. But like it, it's just running
- 2:46really well. Yeah, you know what?
- 2:50Nobody's mentioning that. That's why people TuneIn here to
- 2:56open Cons radio because we're bringing you real talk, you
- 3:00know, talking, talking about the important stories that the real
- 3:05or the fake news media won't won't talk about.
- 3:09Oh yeah, the fake news media. They won't.
- 3:11They won't play OnStar Citizen. What's the one they do every
- 3:16week inside the ships? What's the It's not Star Citizen
- 3:19inside Star Citizen. Inside Star Citizen, Yeah, Or in
- 3:23Star Citizen Live. They won't play that inside Star
- 3:26Citizen. Speaking of inside Star Citizen,
- 3:28what a great ISC we had. That was good, yeah.
- 3:33Yeah, you saw. That the NB I, I, you know, as a
- 3:38as a beekeeper myself, I was psyched.
- 3:40I've been, the one thing I've been asking Chris Roberts for,
- 3:44you know, in our, in our weekly talks with him is just
- 3:47beekeeping in game. I'd, I'd like to be able to be a
- 3:50beekeeper in the verse and it's nice to see that they're working
- 3:54towards that. Yeah, be apiary is what you're
- 3:59looking for. You want to get an apiary in
- 4:02your base that you're going to build on a Knicks.
- 4:05Knicks. Exactly.
- 4:06Next one also on the on the star map.
- 4:09Now a lot of all the planets and everything are all hanging out
- 4:12there on the star map. It's actually it's pretty
- 4:17positive you're you're seeing things coming in Broccoli Rob
- 4:22last week or a couple weeks ago, he said the Galactopedia, he
- 4:27thinks the Galactopedia is going to make it into game.
- 4:30I berated. Him it's I've been crazy.
- 4:35Yeah, if you, if you we have a little channel here on the, on
- 4:40the, on a different Discord that is smoke signals.
- 4:42And every time they update the website or something, it gives
- 4:45us it. And it was man, it must be
- 4:48thousands of updates to the Galactopedia in the last week or
- 4:52two. So that's, that's telling you
- 4:55something, right? They're not.
- 4:57They're not going through every single article and updating it
- 5:01for no reason at all. Yeah, yeah, I mean, I told.
- 5:04Broccoli Rob. He was a fucking idiot when he
- 5:06said that. And who's the idiot now?
- 5:11I mean, they're, they're not mutually exclusive.
- 5:14You can, you can both be idiots. Even a broken clock is is right
- 5:19twice a day dude. That's what that's what makes
- 5:21you such a good fucking Co host. Thank you.
- 5:25Thank you for being here, dude. Duke, later the second.
- 5:28No problem. And thank you for listening to
- 5:31Opencoms Radio. Look, you don't, you don't have
- 5:32to just listen. You can call in every week.
- 5:35We've got some new callers here recently.
- 5:36It's been, it's been a lot of fun.
- 5:39But you can also comment, you know, you can subscribe, you can
- 5:43like, but if you don't want to do any of those things, if all
- 5:45you want to do is is hang out and listen.
- 5:48And I don't know what you do while you're listening to this.
- 5:49Maybe you're eating cheese. I was eating cheese last time.
- 5:54There you go. Yeah, Duke was mounted last time
- 5:57into his microphone. Do you?
- 6:00Hey by the way I have to like edit.
- 6:01Does that come through? It can cause that's like 10
- 6:06minutes of my day seeing. I can see it.
- 6:09I can see the visual marker there.
- 6:11I I eat a lot of food, yeah. You couldn't tell by looking at
- 6:18you. Well, it yeah, you know it.
- 6:20It takes a lot of fuel to keep this massive muscular form ready
- 6:26at all times. So this is other than listening
- 6:30to Duke talk about himself, this is what we're going to do today
- 6:32for the show. We're going to do the show that
- 6:34we're going to do the Collins a little bit differently because I
- 6:38just want to change it up. If you're in the audience of the
- 6:41show, you can, I believe you, right click on your name and you
- 6:45can raise your hand. So if you want to call into the
- 6:48show at any point, you can just raise your hand and I'm going to
- 6:51bring you guys up as your hands are raised.
- 6:54Yeah, I already see one there. So that's how we're going to do
- 6:56it from now on. So get it whenever you want,
- 6:59raise your hand and and we'll call you.
- 7:01Up. We're doing it like elementary
- 7:02school, OK? We are your substitute teacher.
- 7:05You know, we, we don't know what's going on.
- 7:06We don't know where the papers are.
- 7:08We'll probably say something inappropriate and get fired, but
- 7:11that's how we're running it tonight.
- 7:12You know, I used to be a substitute teacher.
- 7:14Me too, man, the the future youth of this nation in good
- 7:21hands. We should, yeah, 'cause that's
- 7:24anecdotism. Sign up before I bring that.
- 7:27Bill here. That's where I learned.
- 7:29Some of my most valuable lessons was from the Subs 'cause they
- 7:32don't care you. Know.
- 7:35Yeah, that's true. They may never see you again.
- 7:40But you know, you know what happened to me twice?
- 7:42I I got like immediately hired as a long term sub.
- 7:46Wow, Mr. Braggy Pants over here. But I'm just saying here, the
- 7:49first day, you're like, I don't give a shit.
- 7:51These stupid fucking kids. Tell your parents they're
- 7:54assholes. And it's like, hey, hey, kids.
- 7:56So I guess I'm gonna be here all year.
- 8:01Well, you know who else is gonna be here all year?
- 8:03Open Comms radio. Open comms radio.
- 8:05It is your Star Citizen call in show, Bill.
- 8:09You can come on up anytime, Bill.
- 8:11Precious Bill. Perfect Bill.
- 8:13Wonderful Bill. You're muted right now.
- 8:15You're going to have to unmute yourself.
- 8:16You're live with Jar Jar Jabroni and Duke later the 2nd and this
- 8:20week we're just wondering, Hey nerd, why don't you just play
- 8:24the game? Well, there's a couple reasons.
- 8:28I'll start with last. Not this weekend, we just had
- 8:32the one before or no last week I think like Wednesday or
- 8:35something. I'm pouting because I spent like
- 8:40an hour gathering all this crap from three different spots
- 8:45because I wanted to go to pyro but I didn't want to go into
- 8:47handed and I zerped in over to the oh this is pretty cool.
- 8:54I zerped in over to the Pyro gateway and as soon as I jumped
- 8:58in, there was some nerd with a big Perseus that just blew me
- 9:03up. And I was like, OK, I've had
- 9:06enough of this for one day and then I've just been super busy
- 9:10with work these last few days. I haven't been able to get on,
- 9:13but yeah, I. Was.
- 9:20Like bro I was. I just got here.
- 9:22I just got all this crap from three different spots around
- 9:25stupid standing, getting like three boxes at each spot.
- 9:29I'm like, come on, just let me be great once.
- 9:33Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was doing the interstellar
- 9:35cargo. I think it is where you jump.
- 9:37From the Was this a pirate or was he just watching your your
- 9:41ship pop? See, and that's what I don't
- 9:44know for sure. Like I'm still going to pout
- 9:47about it because I'm a crybaby, but like, it kind of like when I
- 9:53thought about it, it was kind of like we went to Pyro Gateway at
- 9:57the same time and then I just kind of like appeared into him.
- 10:03But then like all those PDCS started firing at me and I just
- 10:06blew up instantly. It was gross.
- 10:08But still like, get out of the way.
- 10:12People are trying to do things. Get your big ass up out of the
- 10:14way. So what you're saying is you
- 10:16shot him and then he and then he defended?
- 10:19Himself. No, I just I zerped in from the
- 10:23quantum and then like next thing I know it said check fire and
- 10:26then I died. Right, check fire cause 'cause
- 10:28you 'cause you were shooting him, right?
- 10:31I don't. It doesn't say check fire when
- 10:35you're when you're getting shot. But he's not telling you.
- 10:38Hey man, watch out. Check, check that fire.
- 10:41No, it's saying, Sir, check your fire.
- 10:45Dude, I have a ship full of garbage that I'm taking to a
- 10:48garbage place. I don't want to just shoot at
- 10:51people. I wanted to go there and look at
- 10:54things. I like flying around Pyro and
- 10:56going to the planets and going to the little POI's.
- 11:01It's fun for me. Is.
- 11:03Pyro, where to go to the bases? Yeah, it's Pyro where you kind
- 11:06of hang out now. Well, if I could get there, I'd
- 11:10like to. Why don't you just start there?
- 11:15Yeah, Bill, because. I don't know how to reset my
- 11:18thing. I already did Stanton, because I
- 11:19was afraid, because I'm a coward and I don't know how to just
- 11:23start there after you pick. I just the second part after
- 11:27asking wait, why don't you play the game Nerd is we're
- 11:30apparently just going to pick apart how you play it and tell
- 11:32you how you're doing it wrong. That's what we're doing.
- 11:34Yeah, for tonight. So that.
- 11:36Sounds about right. It's going to be a really
- 11:38aggressive open comms. I'm aware I'm I that's why I
- 11:41kind of tagged myself a few times there being a coward to
- 11:44crybaby, you know, taking into my skin myself.
- 11:47So when you guys yell at me, it's.
- 11:49Happy you get blown up and, you know, put pussy it out and gave
- 11:53up. Yeah.
- 11:56What? What's your plan to get back in?
- 11:58How are you gearing up? How are you getting out there to
- 12:00engage with all this new all this new yummy content?
- 12:05I'm going to try to get us some very small ship in there and
- 12:08hide and then call in my ships there and just claim them there
- 12:11and then go fly around and see what happens.
- 12:15I wanted to get a golem, so I wanted to go to Nick's first to
- 12:17get a golem and Shiev because I wanted the teachers one, the
- 12:23special fancy ones. I don't know why.
- 12:25I'm just extra like that some days.
- 12:27But yeah, so I, I don't know, I'll figure it out.
- 12:31Maybe jump on a day when there's not a lot of people playing, if
- 12:34that's the thing. Maybe just sneak in over there.
- 12:38You may not get one on these days if they're dropping a patch
- 12:40over 2 weeks now. I know it's annoying but I'm.
- 12:46Gonna have to deal with it at some point, you heard.
- 12:50It here folks the ID please stop updating the game so that
- 12:54cowards like Bill get flyer on the verse without anyone ever
- 12:57shooting at them. I don't I.
- 12:59Don't want to shoot at people man, I just want to fly around
- 13:02and see cool stuff and get blueprints.
- 13:04Can we have private servers please?
- 13:08I'll pay for it, I'll build it myself.
- 13:10I don't care, $30 server at home.
- 13:12There you go. I did that with.
- 13:16The CIG hits the $1 billion in funding.
- 13:19Oh my. God, I take close to that
- 13:22already hashtag. Thanks, Bill.
- 13:26Thanks, Bill. Thank you.
- 13:26Perfect, Bill. See The Coward's Way can work.
- 13:33Now, Bill, aside from your, your, your cargo hauling, have
- 13:37you played any new content? No, no, not yet.
- 13:40I I wanted to, I wanted to get blueprints first and then go
- 13:46mind and stuff. So I thought that because I
- 13:47haven't really been much of A minor, but it seems like now
- 13:50there's a very good loop in that with mining.
- 13:55Like it's it's really beneficial to start hunting down.
- 13:59Plus it would help with my little exploring itch.
- 14:01I can just fly around and try to mine stuff and try to shoot
- 14:06giant ships that I shouldn't apparently.
- 14:08I got to see I've spent way more time in caves already in this
- 14:12patch than I have in the past. Really.
- 14:15Mining stuff or like is there missions or something down?
- 14:18Hand mining and then just because I'm out mining, you
- 14:22know, I'm, I'm scanning the planets and all these caves are
- 14:25popping up and I'm like, oh, let's go check out these caves.
- 14:28I never find caves. I never find caves.
- 14:32I I was on some planet, one of the moons of Pyro 5, and they
- 14:39were just, there were tons of caves.
- 14:41They were like everywhere. Yeah, I'm also not looking for
- 14:45them when I'm out there. You can see the footage now.
- 14:48That's the footage that I'm planning on mining.
- 14:50I'm just running around now. We're going to talk a lot about
- 14:53mining. I've I've a pretty good feeling
- 14:55about that this episode. There's there's a lot to really
- 14:59unpack here, a lot that they're doing right and a lot that they
- 15:02might not be doing so right here.
- 15:07But we do have. To have.
- 15:10We do have to put some time aside here.
- 15:12We've kind of been neglecting our sponsors recently.
- 15:16They haven't been paying us. So I'd like to get back on that.
- 15:20So what what we're going to do now is we're going to have a
- 15:23quick word from 1 of Opencoms Radio's sponsors.
- 15:28Oh, one second, a little technical difficulty.
- 15:33We're muted there. Our sponsor is muted.
- 15:38They're protesting. Now we're from our sponsors
- 15:44crafting. It's a hard day's work.
- 15:46Here at Cruz, we brew fresh squeeze Aussians daily.
- 15:50That's a lot of hard work. With 20% SLAM by volume, Lux
- 15:54gives the power to push past the hard parts and make this day
- 15:57your day. So show the naysayers what's up
- 15:59and drop bangers like a clumsy roofing team cruise.
- 16:03Lux, give no fucks. Please drink responsibly.
- 16:07Your clone must be 21 minutes or older.
- 16:09Not legal on Monarchs or Aberdeen.
- 16:12Give no fucks cruise locks. Best sponsor of open concert.
- 16:17There we go. There we go.
- 16:19So, Bill, is, is there anything you'd like to add before we
- 16:22bring up our next guest here? No.
- 16:27OK, perfect. Go.
- 16:28Well, if you could just do me a favor and scoot on over.
- 16:30Scoot on down the couch. There Yep, Yep, we're.
- 16:33Going to bring up our our next guest.
- 16:35You know him, you love him. He may be blue, but he's not
- 16:38sad. It is Lord Anubis.
- 16:40Lord Anubis, welcome to open Comms Radio.
- 16:42You're live with Jar Jar Jabroni Duke, later the 2nd and Precious
- 16:46Bell. Hey, how you doing?
- 16:49Doing all right, buddy. How you doing?
- 16:51Oh, let me Duke. Can you ask him the question?
- 16:57The question today's question is why don't you just play the Game
- 17:00Nerd? OK, 'cause I've been busy as
- 17:04fuck, right? So like this weekend I was a
- 17:06wonder gone and every night I was drunk in my hotel room and
- 17:14then, well, you know, it was, it was fun.
- 17:18I'll just say that anyways. Drunk masturbating.
- 17:22OK, Yeah. He put, he put on the he put on
- 17:27a bunch of old Star Citizenship videos.
- 17:30Yeah, sure, sure. No, actually most of the time
- 17:33over there, Hilton, the Anaheim is where they call it Lobbycon.
- 17:36Basically everybody hangs out there till all hours of the
- 17:39night, about two in the morning, whatever.
- 17:41You get a, you know, at least 1000 people over there.
- 17:44Yeah, there's a lot of people and and because because he,
- 17:49they're the Convention Center is right there.
- 17:52So you can walk right out of the Convention Center and into the
- 17:55hilt. And so everybody hangs out
- 17:57there. But yeah, we always get a room
- 17:58for a couple days, like right next to there because, yeah,
- 18:02it's just a party the whole time.
- 18:03So I have not had time to play. Also, I'm blue around the ears
- 18:07still because, you know, it's it's just one of those things
- 18:12where I just haven't haven't even had time after that because
- 18:16of work. So I haven't been able to play
- 18:19asshole. Are you saying you have?
- 18:21You say you haven't washed. No no, it's just the makeup is
- 18:25latex based and sometimes just takes a while to actually
- 18:29completely get off without using some harsh solvents.
- 18:33Like I can get behind his his ears and around your mouth, no.
- 18:37No, no, it's just going. For a while.
- 18:40You know, no, you, you just find some little parts and you're
- 18:43like, ah, crap, there's still some in there, you know, in
- 18:44there in your ear. Yeah.
- 18:46You know, little little little little green, maybe.
- 18:49So for those of you who don't know, we should just frame this
- 18:52a little bit. Lord Anubis dresses up as a blue
- 18:56being from Star Trek. What do you guys called?
- 18:59Andorians. Andorians.
- 19:01He's an Andorian. He dresses up as an Andorian
- 19:04pretty frequently at all. Pretty much all the cons you go
- 19:07to. And Lord Anubis is actually AI
- 19:10mean. Really like one of the best prop
- 19:13makers I've ever come across A lot of people don't I mean
- 19:19pretty, I don't know who knows this, but you're on the show all
- 19:21the time, man. You make the fucking light
- 19:24sabers, you make the What's the thing from Star Trek when
- 19:28there's. Scam tricorders Tricorders as
- 19:31tricorders are awesome. Yeah, Lord Anubis is really a
- 19:35professional. He should be.
- 19:37I don't know. He should.
- 19:38If you, if you want really any kind of prop that you want to
- 19:42have like lit up or spinning or or have some kind of like
- 19:47physical engineering functionality to it, I think
- 19:50Lord Nubus might be your guy. So thank you for that.
- 19:55I definitely appreciate that, that that is that is that is
- 19:58nice coming from you because I know, I know you've actually
- 20:01seen stuff in person. So it's, it's from the heart.
- 20:04I am not taking commissions or anything like that.
- 20:06I am literally that busy with work now.
- 20:10In the past, you know, I've been ever since November, I've been
- 20:13working, you know, like full time at this company.
- 20:16We make commercial and and residential laser lighting
- 20:19systems. So I do alignment and yeah, and
- 20:21I do celebration and hearing you.
- 20:24Already hear folks fuck you. You know, actually it sounds
- 20:27like it sounds like a new wishes prices just went up.
- 20:29I think is what he's trying with, yeah.
- 20:32It's just. So busy.
- 20:34I'm not taking commissions. I mean, you know.
- 20:37Don't talk to me. Yeah, that's good marketing,
- 20:41Anubis, so. I mean, if you don't want to
- 20:43throw, yeah, like, no, seriously, it's, it's just not
- 20:46right now. Even getting anything to someone
- 20:49in a reasonable amount, reasonable amount of time won't
- 20:51work. So, you know, I just don't want
- 20:53to do that right now. I don't want to put that
- 20:54pressure on myself and also disappoint.
- 20:57Anubis is that guy who delivers a pizza and the hot chick
- 21:01answers. And she's like, oh, I don't have
- 21:02any money. Is there some way else I can pay
- 21:05you? And he's all like, I mean, you
- 21:07got like Venmo, Apple, Apple Pay.
- 21:14Yeah, Cash App and of course she's got cash.
- 21:17App bro. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:21Anubis. So you you haven't been you
- 21:23haven't been into too much, but we have had the stablest patch
- 21:28that we've maybe ever had in the history of Star Citizen.
- 21:31And I think this is being overlooked.
- 21:34If you're a nerd and you ever wanted to play, I mean, this is
- 21:37the time because it's like you go in, you're like, oh, this is
- 21:39like a game I'm playing. That said, this game fucked me
- 21:44real hard this week. I isn't that the best part of
- 21:47it? No, not this.
- 21:49So there is a bug if you're in a prospector and I've only tested
- 21:53it with a prospector, but if you go to your rear view, whatever
- 21:58it is, the rear view camera button that is it sticks, it
- 22:03stays in that rear view. So you get stuck in that rear
- 22:07view mode. So I Alta 4 interesting and I
- 22:10log back in and I've I did this a couple times 'cause I I never
- 22:14learned. It takes me three times to learn
- 22:16anything. But then the last time I did, I
- 22:19said, OK, I was mining, so I landed my ship and then I alt F
- 22:24for it. And then I came back and I was
- 22:26in my prospector. And of course, lo and behold,
- 22:28when I come back in, my camera works.
- 22:31But I am underneath the planet, right?
- 22:35And I had collected some 900 quality, whatever it should be
- 22:40called Purity. We'll get into that in a minute,
- 22:42I think. Now, were you underneath the
- 22:44planet or your ship? Well, me, I was in my ship, but
- 22:48yeah, it was spawned in under the planet and then it did the
- 22:52thing where like you just keep falling, right, Even though I'm
- 22:55in my ship, like I couldn't fly it just like kept falling and
- 22:58whatever. So.
- 22:58Oh, OK, yeah, it was the worst. That's rough.
- 23:06Yeah, hey, look, you know the Windsome, the glitch, some you
- 23:10know it it it just happens. It just happens.
- 23:13It just. Happened.
- 23:15So, yeah, I mean, I've been able to see that it's been pretty
- 23:17stable. I mean, you know, I, I, I dabble
- 23:20here and there. I just go in and take a look,
- 23:22you know, but haven't had much time.
- 23:24I am pretty excited to try it, all the new stuff.
- 23:27And yeah, I don't think it's being overlooked though.
- 23:30I have been seeing nothing but praise on like YouTube and all,
- 23:35and all the, the actual popular, you know, Star Trek
- 23:40commentators. Sorry, Star Citizen
- 23:42commentators. Oh my God.
- 23:44Yeah. Nah, you know, I, I think I, I
- 23:48think was. That just was that a dig at open
- 23:49comms? Is that what that was?
- 23:51Yeah, that was. Wait, the actual what?
- 23:53Wait what? Why?
- 23:54Would I say? That I'd like to see you we're
- 23:57we're not comment centers, you know, we're not even content
- 24:01creators. You know, we don't we don't
- 24:02create here. We don't comment.
- 24:04We just, I'm just. A jabroni.
- 24:07Yeah, we're just our. Our vast audience of six people,
- 24:11you know, I think they would all agree that never mind, wait.
- 24:17A minute. Is this show a skit?
- 24:19It's this kind of character. Sometimes.
- 24:23So look, no, I, I think people are seeing it.
- 24:27I, I really do. I mean, everything I've seen is
- 24:30just people going, wow, this is, this is great.
- 24:33I mean, it really does feel like we're coming into that final
- 24:37stretch. Almost.
- 24:40I wouldn't say we're in the final stretch yet, but we are
- 24:44coming into the final stretch of the show.
- 24:45Believe it or not, we are. We are about to hit that halfway
- 24:48mark. And so I think it's time we do
- 24:50pull up. Another caller here, if you're
- 24:54OK with that. Lord Nubis.
- 24:56I am not. Oh, OK.
- 24:58Well then. Nope, leave them there.
- 25:00Yeah, we'll leave them. OK, so.
- 25:05So this is the time we talk about the people on the Internet
- 25:08and all that stuff. No, I don't know.
- 25:09So, Anubis, when you do start playing, what are you going to
- 25:12do? What's the first thing you're
- 25:13doing when you jump in? Oh, I want to do that rock.
- 25:16I want to do the rock breaker mission with someone.
- 25:20Oh yeah, I still haven't done that.
- 25:22Yeah. How do you feel about it being
- 25:26hidden behind? Well, you need Rep and you need
- 25:30cash in order to do that. Good.
- 25:33I mean, it gives you something to do.
- 25:35I mean like you work up for mission progression.
- 25:37I mean, that's that, that's that, that's literally like,
- 25:43like it, it, it helps you get away from the, from the theme
- 25:47park aspect. Yeah.
- 25:51Yeah, I, I think the fact that, I mean, dude, I mean, it's hard
- 25:55to get to, but it's not because by the time we get there, other
- 25:59people have already done it, right?
- 26:01So I got in there and I was just following around.
- 26:03But I like the idea that it's something you can find and try
- 26:06to figure out. And it's complicated.
- 26:09And I think in the future the reward for it will be higher.
- 26:15And I think it should be. I think it should reset too.
- 26:20You have to keep working your way up to it again.
- 26:26It does. I mean, you exhaust.
- 26:29So what happens is after you shoot the laser into the
- 26:31asteroid, you kind of exhaust the resources in it and then you
- 26:34just leave because there's no other reason to be there.
- 26:38But then when you take it. Again.
- 26:40It needs Rep but you'll go to a different location.
- 26:44Yeah. No, no.
- 26:45No, I think that's what Anubis is saying.
- 26:46You shouldn't be able to just do it again.
- 26:48You should have to grind up to it again.
- 26:50Yeah. Oh, OK.
- 26:53OK. I'm picking up what you're
- 26:55putting down. It makes the reward much better.
- 27:02You know it's more valuable and then also you know it gives you
- 27:06a reason to keep coming back. Oh yeah.
- 27:10Oh yeah. Well, Speaking of someone who
- 27:12keeps coming back, this next guest is here quite quite often.
- 27:16He's a a pretty good Magic the Gathering player.
- 27:19He's not homeless to despite his name, but it is cosmic Hobo.
- 27:25Cosmic hobo. Thank you for coming to Open
- 27:27Comms Radio, your Star Citizen Colin show.
- 27:29Hey nerd, why don't you just play the game?
- 27:33I was told this was going to be a Magic the Gathering show.
- 27:38April. I was.
- 27:40I was lied to. I got April fooled.
- 27:44How do you feel? It hurts a little.
- 27:48Yeah, good. But yeah, I've been playing, I
- 27:51know, big shocker there. I've also been playing Magic.
- 27:54I play tonight. But yeah, playing the patch.
- 27:59It's good, stable. They're still inventory has been
- 28:02weird, but it's new. But you still have some of that
- 28:05same lag you had before. It's faster, it's better, but
- 28:09there's still sometimes you're like, hey, wake up, I want to
- 28:15use my inventory now. So that's why that's that's why
- 28:21you're not playing the game because of the inventory.
- 28:24Well, no, I've been playing it. I I'm not playing it at this
- 28:26exact moment because I'm looking at my Magic cards.
- 28:31I am working on my gruel deck which did pretty well tonight.
- 28:35Well, gruel like porridge gruel. That it's one of the the
- 28:40factions in the magic Catherine universe.
- 28:44Can I ask you a question? Can we relate Magic the
- 28:47Gathering to Star Citizen? What from Magic the Gathering
- 28:51should we put into Star Citizen? What can Star Citizen learn?
- 28:56The Gathering. You know what actually Star
- 28:59Citizen miss is missing that a lot of other major franchises
- 29:02have these days. Yeah, a trading card game if we
- 29:07look at like. In the game if it's in the game.
- 29:09Yeah, in the game like an in game card game, like even hell,
- 29:14even just like a deck of cards that we can sit down and play
- 29:18good old fashioned like poker or something.
- 29:21But even putting that aside, that very basic thing that we
- 29:24just don't have aside why not? Like we we've got ships, make
- 29:31ships with cards and power like to them.
- 29:34Like I I'm sure someone could throw something together and has
- 29:39at some point or another internally.
- 29:41It's just bound to happen when you have an IP is that someone's
- 29:44going to make a card game version of that IP.
- 29:47Like everyone's got something like Star Wars has sabak,
- 29:52Witcher has shit, what's it called?
- 29:59I see what you're saying though. There's that in lore, there's
- 30:01no. Right, there's.
- 30:03No game. And I'm surprised that, like,
- 30:05the Banu didn't introduce something.
- 30:08Yeah, yeah. Like they would totally do
- 30:11something like that. I could totally see it.
- 30:14Like there's lots of so many games have like that card game
- 30:20aspects, even if it's like just a meta game.
- 30:24Like the Final Fantasy series has like 3 or 4 throughout their
- 30:27entire series. I'll also say that would be much
- 30:30easier, you know, physics wise and gameplay wise to actually
- 30:34implement in game than the pool tables which I always say are
- 30:38just a massive pocktees and waste of time and waste of
- 30:42space. They're never going to have
- 30:44working pool in the game. Physicalize the cards.
- 30:47Like sure, that's easy. They're almost a 2D entity that
- 30:52you can just put on a table you can place but you have a perk
- 30:56in. The the difficulty and it's not
- 30:59really that much of A, but the difficulty is how you, the
- 31:01functionality of playing it because like you can throw stuff
- 31:05on the table, but, and this is the thing that they need across
- 31:09the board. in Star Citizen, it will applies to all of the
- 31:15kiosks you go to and applies to every table you sit at.
- 31:19Like when you're playing a game 'cause that card game, it's a
- 31:23different beast than the 3D World you're in.
- 31:26And you're right, it's basically a 2D world.
- 31:28So if I sit at a table, the camera needs to like lock in on
- 31:34that table. And then if I want to leave that
- 31:36table, I can press a button and leave that table.
- 31:39But it needs to lock in. So that whatever, if I'm moving
- 31:42my mouse or I'm pressing WSD, or if I'm playing with the
- 31:46controller or whatever the buttons, the controller mapping
- 31:50shifts to that new game I'm playing.
- 31:54Right, yeah, I disagree. It sounds like you're just
- 31:56trying to make the game playable for weirdos who use game
- 32:00controllers. No, as well as well, but all of
- 32:06it. It just doesn't make it just
- 32:07doesn't make any sense. They're overcomplicating things
- 32:09for themselves. Like this is a new it's taking
- 32:13up your whole fucking monitor. It's taking up your whole
- 32:15screen. It's a different interface.
- 32:18You're interacting with it differently than you're
- 32:20interacting with everything else.
- 32:22Like rather than like I, it's cool.
- 32:25What do they call it? Diegetic or whatever rather?
- 32:28Than. Yeah, but it's, it doesn't work.
- 32:33It's, it's cumbersome, even if you're playing mouse and
- 32:36keyboard when you're on your, when you're going to the kiosk
- 32:40and you're pulling up the ship, like you can just like walk away
- 32:43from it or sometimes your head snaps or whatever away from the,
- 32:47the kiosk. And that's just because of how
- 32:49they do it. Like it should just lock in.
- 32:51And if I want to leave that kiosk, I press whatever the the
- 32:54back button is to get out of there.
- 32:56And it would apply to card games.
- 32:57Then you can actually implement pool.
- 33:01Then you can implement card games, you know what I mean?
- 33:06But if you, if you don't do that, it's not, it's never going
- 33:08to happen. It's too, it's too complicated
- 33:11and you're going to have all these wild key bindings that no
- 33:13one's going to understand. I mean, am I alone here?
- 33:18Am I? Am I taking crazy?
- 33:19Pills. Pill.
- 33:20No, you're yeah, you're you're alone.
- 33:22You're alone. No.
- 33:24I. I get what you're talking about,
- 33:25it's just what if you have to leave in a hurry?
- 33:29Like kind of a question? And I know that's a silly
- 33:32question when your animation takes 5 minutes to get out of a
- 33:34seat. Right, because that's a because
- 33:36hobo's right, because that's the thing, right?
- 33:38This this is Star Citizen. You know that Chris Roberts will
- 33:42make them animate it. So you're like, your dude's
- 33:45going to lean over and he's going to like dad groan and sit
- 33:49down in the seat. And then he's going to like take
- 33:51out his cards and shuffle them. And then he's going to check his
- 33:54his Moby glass. And then he's going to light a
- 33:57cigar. And then it'll center on the
- 33:59screen. And then when you want to get
- 34:00up, he's got to like, do that, but in reverse.
- 34:03Yeah, but that solution is easy. Say you press B to get out of
- 34:07the seat and it does all the bullshit you're talking about.
- 34:10Double tap B and it's quick, quick, get out of the seat.
- 34:13Done. Chris will never agree to that.
- 34:18Chris would never agree with that because it makes.
- 34:20You never agree with that because it's not cool.
- 34:24Rule of Cool. I I disagree.
- 34:27I think when we have. Now.
- 34:29It's stupid, it's cumbersome, like I said.
- 34:31This fucking guy, Yeah. I mean, I'm sorry, is it?
- 34:36Is it easy to use? Cumbersome is cool.
- 34:41Do people drive around in a Harley-Davidson Because?
- 34:44Because it's practical. We have we have other guests.
- 34:47We do have Bill had to step out. Right, there's a guest right now
- 34:51who has a lot. To say I know as.
- 34:53As soon as you started in on this, actually.
- 34:55He raised his hand. I mean, you wanted, you said,
- 34:57you just said you wanted someone else to talk.
- 34:59Now you have someone. Who?
- 35:00All right, all right, all this this next guest.
- 35:03There's no guarantee he's going to agree with you though.
- 35:05But no. Absolutely not.
- 35:07You know him, you love him. It is wicked.
- 35:09Wicked. Hey, nerd, why don't you just
- 35:11play the game? Citizens, Citizens.
- 35:15Long time listener. Long call listener, occasional
- 35:18caller. Thank you.
- 35:22Blue, Blue boy. It's blue Boy.
- 35:24Blue boy. Wow, that's.
- 35:26Racist. Let's go get into all of this
- 35:30nonsense that you guys are talking about, which I mean it's
- 35:32not nonsense. Let's be fair.
- 35:34But to answer the question I I think you guys.
- 35:37Answer the question. To miss.
- 35:40I think everybody's kind of missing the point, nerd.
- 35:43Just play the game. I wish.
- 35:47But can you really even do that nowadays?
- 35:50It doesn't really matter what the game is, this one included.
- 35:54Every game that's out there has been, has been analyzed,
- 35:59optimized, digested, quantified, spreadsheetified, guidified.
- 36:06I don't think we can just play the game anymore.
- 36:09I think, you know, you don't want to get left like if in in a
- 36:14perfect world you would just turn the game on, get into the
- 36:17game and play. You wouldn't be looking up
- 36:19anything. You would just be discovering
- 36:21stuff. You would be learning as you go.
- 36:24You know you wouldn't you wouldn't want to, you wouldn't
- 36:27want to know any of this stuff pre pre game.
- 36:30You wouldn't want to know that. Oh, if I want to find some some
- 36:36Aslerite, I'm going to go to the yellow belt because that's the
- 36:41least cluttered and it's the best chance of me finding what
- 36:44I'm looking for. But I can easily just look that
- 36:47up in some guide online and or, or some somebody who's data
- 36:53mined the game and found, oh, this is where all this stuff is.
- 36:58So I don't know if we, I think the genie's out of the bottle
- 37:00and it's not getting shoved back in.
- 37:02I don't know if we can never just play the game ever again.
- 37:05And it not just our citizen. This goes for almost anything.
- 37:08Think about it, how many times in the last couple of years that
- 37:13you've played a new game, Did you not at least look up
- 37:17something about the game that kind of gives you clues as to
- 37:21what to do and how to play? I think, I think we're in this
- 37:27in especially in the attention economy.
- 37:29I know that word is kind of overused a lot, but folks just
- 37:32don't have the time, you know? And that's where you get this
- 37:35stuff like, oh, pay for convenience.
- 37:37It's not pay to win. My thought has always been if
- 37:42you're playing the game, play the game.
- 37:46Don't buy, buy someone else's time to play the game for you.
- 37:51I've I've always thought that was ridiculous.
- 37:54I have some bad news for you. What's that?
- 37:57Nintendo Power was first published in 1988, and one of
- 38:02the big draws in Nintendo Power was it had tips and tricks and
- 38:06hints and guides. I, I didn't say when I I I
- 38:10understand what you're. Saying you didn't say it was
- 38:12new, IT I didn't say it was. New.
- 38:14I'm just saying that's just it's just the way it is now when new
- 38:20genres come out And now let me let me preface this by saying
- 38:25when World of Warcraft came out, it was not a new genre.
- 38:29It was just when World of Warcraft came out in 22,000 and
- 38:34four it it was not new as in as far as it was not the first MMO.
- 38:41There had been many, many Mmos and MMO style games before it,
- 38:45but they had quantified in kind of like figured out the best way
- 38:51to give the most people fun. And playing a game like that
- 38:55with enough level of of difficulty and a level of ease
- 38:59to get your average gamer and addicted to it basically is what
- 39:04they did. They figured out that formula
- 39:06for a lot of people, not everybody, but when we first
- 39:11started playing that game in 2004 and 2005, nobody knew
- 39:15anything. Nobody knew the best combo, the
- 39:18best, the best skill rotation, the best gear, what the best.
- 39:25You know, you kind of had an idea after reading the, the,
- 39:28the, the flavour text of the weapons and looking at some
- 39:33stats, but none of that stuff had been quantified to the level
- 39:36of it was just in the two years later.
- 39:40They had there were tools where you put the gear in the tool and
- 39:45the, the gear. The the tool told you, Oh, what
- 39:48you have is better keep what you have.
- 39:52Move on without. You know, if, if it was, if it
- 39:56didn't have that, you'd have to figure that out on your own.
- 39:58You'd put the new gear in and figured, oh, it's not as good.
- 40:01I'm not doing as good as I did before.
- 40:03Let me go back to the old gear. I don't know if if that's taking
- 40:08the fun out of it, but that's surely taking a lot of the game
- 40:11out of it. You know, you see what I'm
- 40:13saying? I'm picking up I, I always hate
- 40:18to say it, but I, I agree with Wicket.
- 40:22Why do you have to say it? Yeah, you say it a lot can can I
- 40:26not? Get I'm just being, I'm not too
- 40:28right, can I not? Well, it's true.
- 40:31Wicket, the cast out of the back.
- 40:33Yeah, it it depends. Now, how do you feel about with
- 40:36the card games and the kiosks about having a dedicated like
- 40:41you click on the table or you click on the kiosk and it moves
- 40:44to a dedicated screen, screen, screen screen screen and
- 40:51whatever, whatever it is, if it's a menu or it's a cart, like
- 40:55you're locked into that. And then in order to leave that
- 40:59menu that, that other game world you're in for, for the moment,
- 41:06you gotta, you know, press a button to leave or something, or
- 41:10just just to have you lock into that experience.
- 41:12How do you feel about that? I don't have a problem with
- 41:15that. The the, the only place where
- 41:18that really becomes a problem is if you could be someone in in
- 41:23most of the cases in Star Citizen, most of the places
- 41:27where you do that type of interaction, you're not in in
- 41:31that big of a hostile area unless you consider clicking on
- 41:34a button in, in, in in AEDE game loop, but you're not really
- 41:43locked in. You're just pressing a button.
- 41:46And a lot of like, it's like in this rock breaker thing, for
- 41:49instance, right? You don't have to get locked
- 41:51into any of the consoles. You just go up and click the
- 41:54button or you, you, you go up and look at the screen to get
- 41:57your that's not really what I'm getting at here.
- 41:59That's different. You're talking about like the
- 42:01Aesop terminal or the, the purchasing terminals.
- 42:05Is that what you're talking? About basically bringing that to
- 42:07other things the. Engineering Terminal, any of
- 42:12those like arcade machines or whatever that they're going to
- 42:14have, like how the fuck are they going to manage that?
- 42:17It just, it's, it's ridiculous the way they're doing it.
- 42:20Well, you're what I don't, well, I, I think you have to gamify
- 42:24some systems at some level. You know what's next?
- 42:28You, you come out of your hotel and your space station.
- 42:32You walk down to the to, to the space, your space dock.
- 42:38You go to the machine to, to bring your, your, your spaceship
- 42:42up on the lift. And then you go over to the, you
- 42:44go over to the to, to the spaceship.
- 42:47You get on it and God damn it, I forgot my keys back up in the
- 42:51hotel room. I got to go back upstairs.
- 42:52Do you want that level of realism?
- 42:55I mean. Hell no.
- 42:55Hell no. Next you'll have a bunch of
- 42:58nagging kids and a wife in the back of the spaceship.
- 43:01Well, that's kind of telling you you're doing everything wrong,
- 43:04right? This, this is what I'm getting
- 43:05now. You got to gamify it, and you
- 43:07have to simplify it. And it has to be.
- 43:11Some experiences are supposed to be like relaxing or whatever,
- 43:14and if they're always fucking janky then you got to unjack
- 43:17them. We still talking about board
- 43:20games and the game. Yeah.
- 43:22Yeah, basically. You want to play chess in the
- 43:24game, you click on the chess set and it locks you into the chess
- 43:28game. And then whatever your control
- 43:31scheme is for the chess game, it's it may be the same keys is
- 43:36when you're flying a ship or first person, but it's it's
- 43:38different. And if you want to leave the
- 43:39chess game, you press B or whatever the fuck it is.
- 43:43So what are you trying to what? What do you want to see
- 43:46different? Because right now, that's not
- 43:48what you do. You don't lock.
- 43:49In Walk away. Right.
- 43:51So he's saying he wants it to be more of a simplified, you know,
- 43:55click on the kiosk, click on the the chess board, whatever you're
- 43:58locked in. Now you've got simplified
- 44:00controls to just play the game and then you press a button to
- 44:05get out of it. So basically.
- 44:07Yeah, when you played Caravan in Fallout New Vegas, if you
- 44:11remember that the card game it brought you to like it was a
- 44:14different game, right? And it works Florida State the
- 44:18the way it is. And then you can leave that game
- 44:20and, and, and pop off. That's what I'm talking about.
- 44:24It's a mini game. Let it be a mini game, right?
- 44:32Or, or the, the engineering kiosk.
- 44:35If you're doing right now, you're walking around with your
- 44:37mouse and and you're clicking shit, you should lock into the
- 44:40engineering kiosk and you should have quick keys for all those
- 44:43menus. It should be 1234 to go to
- 44:46whatever different tab you need to go to engineering kiosk,
- 44:50right? You shouldn't be walking around
- 44:53with your mouse and like clicking on things.
- 44:55It you should be able to quick keep that stuff and that would
- 44:58make that experience better for the engineer, right?
- 45:01And it would make it easier for someone to to jump in and you,
- 45:05you know, you won't be. I mean, right now I just feel
- 45:09like I'm always getting janked around everywhere with all those
- 45:13kinds of things. Have you tried using a mouse and
- 45:15keyboard though? Yeah, I have and it's I agree.
- 45:18I think it's the same thing. I I have to use?
- 45:22Xbox controller and. No, but when I when I interact
- 45:25with those kiosks, I have to use mouse and keyboard.
- 45:28So it's not even anywhere near this.
- 45:30Like I'm still using the mouse and keyboard and it's still
- 45:32janky and you're, you're coming at it at like a different angle
- 45:36when you look at it. It's ridiculous.
- 45:41Maybe I'm alone. I just don't see why we need
- 45:46more key binds. Like there's already so many
- 45:48freaking key binds already I. Don't even know what buttons do
- 45:52what most of the time I got. No more new key binds.
- 45:55I'm like. OK, it's not.
- 45:57Just. Though Oh jar jar.
- 45:59Is this the footage where you drop the the mirror and
- 46:03scratched it so we only got 99%? That's what you say.
- 46:07That's true. That's anti jar jar.
- 46:10Did you do it? Did you guys see the the
- 46:15Squadron 42 newsletter thing? Yeah, the.
- 46:20Infographic. That's it.
- 46:21So, yeah, yeah, Mike, well, hang on now there's something that I
- 46:26feel like hasn't been mentioned a lot either.
- 46:29And I just pulled it up here to look at it when it's talking
- 46:32about the multi tool are. We going to.
- 46:35Get a multi tool that just has everything in it.
- 46:38No, supposedly that's just the military one.
- 46:41Yeah, in in squadron. The military has one.
- 46:45We have the success and I'm gonna.
- 46:47Join the UE to get one of those. I mean, you're just a lowly
- 46:50civilian. We can buy an incubator, but
- 46:54they don't. Find it just.
- 46:56Peasants have a multi tool that lets us do everything.
- 47:01That's fine. So for those of you waiting in
- 47:04the audience there, what we're doing now going forward is if
- 47:08you want to join the call, you can raise your hand.
- 47:10You right click on your name or whatever, and then you raise
- 47:13your hand to to join the show. And I'll just pick people as
- 47:16they raise their hands. This way you can come in and out
- 47:20of the audience. And this way I'm not pulling
- 47:22people up who just want to listen or, or whatever.
- 47:24So if you do want to call in, raise your hand at any time.
- 47:27But before we bring on our next guest, we do have another word
- 47:31from our sponsors. We here at Drake want to take a
- 47:40moment to address the copion in the room.
- 47:43We've been called pirates, reprobates, all sorts of things,
- 47:46but what we are is a value. They give so much for so little.
- 47:51You see us everywhere. So when they say our line is for
- 47:54pirates, we say no. The Cutlass, Corsair and
- 47:58Privateer have nothing to do with privacy and have everything
- 48:02to do with giving all an affordable path to the stars.
- 48:06Drake. Welcome aboard me, Mateys.
- 48:12Wow, that's a really, that's a really solid ad.
- 48:16That's a good one ad I'm going to go buy a journey seems.
- 48:18Like decent looks? Like they got a great announcer.
- 48:21I. Didn't like that.
- 48:23Damn. All right, well, this is
- 48:25opencoms radio, your Star Citizen call in show and anyone
- 48:28can call in this week. We have a few callers coming in.
- 48:32This guy you know I'm you love him.
- 48:33He's a goose. He's veritable.
- 48:35Hatter. Hatter it's.
- 48:36A goose. Really, Goose?
- 48:38It's a goose. That's.
- 48:39True. Why don't you?
- 48:40Just play a game. I bet that is in fact what I am
- 48:44doing quite currently. I'm bad at it, but you know, I
- 48:48enjoy it, so it's all good. So I just wanted to say I love
- 48:54the commercial. That's pretty much, that's
- 48:55pretty much the long and short of it.
- 48:56Thank you for injecting that into the entire thing.
- 48:59It was really enjoyable. Do more.
- 49:02Play the game. Oh, thank you, Hatter.
- 49:05Thank you. Thank you.
- 49:05You're welcome. I think, I mean think Anubis
- 49:08Newbis should be saying thank you.
- 49:09He's Anubis writes the ads, he announces the ads and then.
- 49:14He even pays the ads. Yeah.
- 49:17You know, reasonable hours especially, you know, Drake is
- 49:23the the best of all of the different choices you could have
- 49:25made. You know, Jen Dredge, my
- 49:27favorite. Who's who's Jen Dredge ejecting
- 49:30is for quitters. You know, I love, love to hate
- 49:33her. She's there, has been there for
- 49:36900 years now. Actually, I do it.
- 49:39Jan Dredge, this was the CEO of Drake.
- 49:41I I also actually I'm, I'm curious how many people in here
- 49:45know that most of the CEOs for the various organizations are
- 49:48actually like Methuselah level old.
- 49:50They're all like 8-9 hundred years old.
- 49:53What? No, they're all dead.
- 49:56No, they aren't. No, they'll read their wikis.
- 50:00They're like at most second generation like at most it's so
- 50:05many of them are first Gen. founders.
- 50:07Which is. Yeah, no, you start reading into
- 50:10the, you start reading into actual personal person.
- 50:14Several generations. I listen to Astro Pub Astro
- 50:19Victorian all the time. I mean, you can go check the
- 50:22wiki right now. There are a couple of them who
- 50:24are just like, Oh yeah, we're just hanging around, you know?
- 50:27Or regen tech came around so like this.
- 50:30Is my question. They either had regen tech
- 50:32secretly or they're vampires. I love vampires.
- 50:39I mean, I would not be surprised if Hirsten was a vampire, but
- 50:42you know. Here we are, Atlanta nights.
- 50:47But yeah. So curious how there's this all
- 50:53of a sudden there's this fantasy bent to Star Citizen right when
- 50:59our our group of of happy guildmates decided to make a
- 51:05Guild out of our organs. I mean, I don't, I don't.
- 51:11Think that's kind of. Living for 1000 years is a is a
- 51:15fantasy thing. That's a that's that's hard
- 51:17sci-fi. Have you ever seen Lord of the
- 51:21Rings or any any sword and board fantasy come?
- 51:27On. That's that's right out of
- 51:29that's that's they've ripped that out of the the the rule
- 51:32book. Have you read, have you read
- 51:36what is it? Altered Carbon and stuff like
- 51:38that? This is this is these people.
- 51:41Maybe that was pretty good. That was a good scene.
- 51:44The first one was great, the second wasn't it it.
- 51:46Gets a little weird and the author's kind of a Dick, but
- 51:50like, you know, it's still there are plenty of authors who are
- 51:52Dicks who I still enjoy their their literature.
- 51:54Do you? Want JK Rowling?
- 51:59I I told this to someone. I've never liked Harry Potter.
- 52:03Yeah, I'm, I'm with you there. It's boring.
- 52:07I liked it as a kid. You liked the movie?
- 52:10Did you read the books as a kid? Oh yeah.
- 52:13I never read the books, I like the movies.
- 52:16Well, it, it kind of sucks 'cause my, my girlfriend was
- 52:19really into Harry Potter, right? And like even had like joined a
- 52:23fan club and all that stuff that did like running challenges or
- 52:26whatever. And it's kind of how we met.
- 52:30And you know, then JK started kind of going off the deep end
- 52:35and girlfriend has a trans daughter and it's just like man,
- 52:39like, you know, you, you lose the thing, you love it, it, it
- 52:43just it, it tears it out of you because it's like it's created
- 52:46by someone who just thinks you're not human.
- 52:49Yep, that's the thing. Here's the one that gets me.
- 52:51And this is all sort of off topic, obviously, but like, I'm
- 52:54always fascinated by these billionaires who want to spend
- 52:58so much of their time and energy just being Dicks.
- 53:02When you're like, you've literally billions of dollars.
- 53:06You could do absolutely anything with your time.
- 53:08And I'm not saying it has to be altruistic.
- 53:11Like, you know, just go fucking, I don't know, eat caviar and.
- 53:16Game prize yachts. Yeah, just whatever.
- 53:19But you know it's. Not the best thing for the
- 53:20planet, but I but. They they do that stuff.
- 53:23They do that stuff as well, yeah.
- 53:27Well. There is the.
- 53:29Something I don't know. I mean there is there is the
- 53:33thing OK yeah, you know you advance, you know, electric cars
- 53:36to get rid of petroleum, you know, being a fuel fuel source.
- 53:39You you know you advance spaceships and all this other
- 53:43stuff. But there is a deep seated pain
- 53:47that wasn't stolen usually comes from abuse turns people into you
- 53:51know, certain you know, I think they did it by.
- 53:56I think they did a fall behind the.
- 53:57Bastards right now. What's going on?
- 53:59Yeah, well, like he's a bad man. What can do with someone in the
- 54:08audience whose arm has been getting tired?
- 54:11I see him, I see him. So look, look, I'm gonna I'm I
- 54:13try to give everyone this a similar amount of time here when
- 54:16when they come on the show, usually it's 88 to 10 minutes.
- 54:22So that that that's just what I try to do here.
- 54:24But I do see the hands. Yes, the audience, they they
- 54:26understand it now. So we're going to veritable.
- 54:29Before we bring up this guy, though, is there anything I feel
- 54:32like you got to get off your chest?
- 54:36Well, I got to shave, so I guess there's that.
- 54:39But no, no, no, I'm. I'm all good.
- 54:42Yeah, no, I'm way too hairy. Yeah, now you got like it's, you
- 54:46know, like listening. Every time is that is that for
- 54:50speed, for cungliness or question Duke, you know what's?
- 54:54For speed, got to move fast all the time, you know must be.
- 54:57A swimmer. Or run away.
- 55:00You got to cover those nipples with some some tape or a couple
- 55:04of band. AIDS, they all get chafed.
- 55:06That's that's what it is. Anyway, No, I just wanted to
- 55:08tell you thank you for the the hilarious little advertisement.
- 55:13You guys have a nice night. Thank you too.
- 55:16Thank you. That was veritable.
- 55:17Hatter Goose gooses fly and Hatter's flying out of here, I
- 55:21guess. But he can't stay on the couch.
- 55:24What we do on the show is we scoot down the couch.
- 55:26Everybody scoots on down and we invite more people on the couch.
- 55:29This week we have the wonderful Guild leader of the Red Scar No
- 55:33Man's Guild, the Guild that keeps on gilding here in Star
- 55:37Citizen. Murphy J.
- 55:39Hey, you. Hey nerd, Why don't you just my
- 55:41Guild master? Hello, I've been playing the
- 55:48game, but the thing here's the deal, here it comes.
- 55:52Was that so or were there like, just play the game nerds and
- 55:55they're dude, they're going against the data miners.
- 55:57Blah blah, right? Well, not against.
- 56:00But you know what I mean? Like they they said.
- 56:02Yeah, Murphy, Jack is referencing the April Fool's
- 56:04Holby video that came up. Where Jared in the video, which
- 56:08is where I got this topic from, said just play the game, nerds.
- 56:13I thought that video was I. Hope it was hilarious, but I
- 56:16hope I really I hope there it was all a joke, which I mean,
- 56:21it's today I'm. Sure.
- 56:22Because be honest, a lot of us wouldn't have it, like 70% of
- 56:28the knowledge we do without third party websites.
- 56:30And this goes to that language pack, which we should show a
- 56:33little bit that gives you blueprints in the missions.
- 56:38It fixes the stupid effects to type bullshit and all it was was
- 56:45a God Dang file. They put it in your folder.
- 56:49Dang, damn it. I mean, yeah.
- 56:52Dang God cause nerds for data mining.
- 56:57Well. I could take a joke.
- 57:00You get you get a pass because they prefers, but this is time
- 57:06and time again we've said they got to get this in the game and
- 57:12we have been seeing how much coordination is going to be
- 57:17needed for this crafting and material and stuff.
- 57:21And then I saw the newsletter and it said social tools, huh?
- 57:25How about that so. Fingers crossed if we get that,
- 57:31hell yeah. We need better social souls,
- 57:33socials so badly. I just hopefully, you know, be
- 57:40great for the Guild if. Any they just implemented one
- 57:44thing, a shared shared Guild inventory and have some kind of
- 57:48permission system that would solve so many problems.
- 57:52What? What they do is this.
- 57:53Common door plan, I'll take clan over Guild.
- 57:58All right, all right, all right. You just, you know, let me, let
- 58:01me host this. Before they add a hey.
- 58:02Everybody come to the meeting of the.
- 58:05No, no, no. Let me hold up.
- 58:07Hold I want to like channel light and head knight right up
- 58:10there. Jesus Christ, Murphy, I'll give
- 58:12you a second. I'll give you a second.
- 58:13Hold on. Let me.
- 58:14Just let me. Crown 'cause you.
- 58:16Brought up. You fucking came in here with
- 58:18you Mohawk pokes. Through the middle of the crown,
- 58:25listen. Oh, goes around the crown.
- 58:28Listen. Open cops off the rails.
- 58:30No, look, Guild is better than Org.
- 58:35I understand. I saw your message today, Murphy
- 58:38Jack. Murphy Jack posted in the Red
- 58:40Sky Nomads that we are officially a Guild, not an Org
- 58:43anymore. This was because Murphy Jack
- 58:46owes his life, possibly at least his Star Citizen life, to
- 58:50Wicket, and Wicket is a sensible human being who understands that
- 58:55Guild sounds better than Org. And I understand also that a lot
- 58:58of people, maybe including Cosmic Hobo here and Duke later,
- 59:01took issue with that because they're nerds and don't
- 59:05understand what's cool. Or because they're correct.
- 59:07Who's frying now? I will give 5 minutes, 5 minutes
- 59:13for everyone here to bicker about org versus Guild as they
- 59:18choose and I will mute myself. I mean, it sounds more like a
- 59:23job. Organization is a better choice,
- 59:26it just makes more sense as far as the loss.
- 59:29This isn't a fantasy game. I'm not, yeah, there's not a
- 59:32fantasy game. There's not that evil fucking.
- 59:34Guest hot. Guild having a.
- 59:37You better be an. Oral idea of it being a Guild is
- 59:42like you, you're going to have to work as an apprentice for
- 59:45like well. Look, I'm going to work 300
- 59:47years before you. Nice mine, let me mine more.
- 59:54Right. 5 minutes is a long time for that.
- 59:59Yeah, no, you like it with presentations.
- 1:00:00Like you got to stand up and give a 5 minute presentation and
- 1:00:02you realize how long 5 minutes is.
- 1:00:04I could do. I could bullshit for an hour and
- 1:00:06a half. Don't.
- 1:00:08We do what we do here, exactly. I I, I do have to say Guild has
- 1:00:14not nothing to do with fantasy. It could be sci-fi, it could be
- 1:00:17future, it could be present day. There's the plumbers Guild,
- 1:00:21there's a carpentry Guild. I mean Guild is has nothing to
- 1:00:24do with fantasy. Those are like ancient ass
- 1:00:28things though. Like there's been carpenters
- 1:00:30since the beginning of time. There's been space travellers
- 1:00:34since the beginning of time. Hot dog, you don't know, you
- 1:00:38don't know. Yeah, so it's ancient, so there.
- 1:00:43In your face. I mean, we're all, we're all in.
- 1:00:46Space now. Right, we travel, so therefore
- 1:00:49we're all space travellers. If the people just willed space
- 1:00:53I have. To leave because I'm part of an
- 1:00:54org. Space has literally everything
- 1:00:56in it. Been nice knowing you well.
- 1:00:58I don't want to. I don't want to have everyone
- 1:01:00cut too much into America for Jack's timer.
- 1:01:02For Jack, I want to give you another couple minutes.
- 1:01:04I know you have more to say here about the patch and and playing
- 1:01:08the game, so he's got Guild work to do if you want to take a
- 1:01:11couple minutes here and lay down the law.
- 1:01:14I like that. I like that.
- 1:01:16Veritable. Well, it's very important now,
- 1:01:18you know, quality's a big deal. We have to do a whole show about
- 1:01:24how quality's stupid, yeah. Made plans for it.
- 1:01:29We built some kill shot rifles the other the other night and
- 1:01:33the changes, hell yeah, the changes that it did, mainly the
- 1:01:38recoil. Wow.
- 1:01:40It's it's big, it's a big deal. When you put like compensators
- 1:01:45and stuff on those, do they stack?
- 1:01:49Do you stack compensator? No.
- 1:01:51No I mean like you put a compensator on a crafted gun
- 1:01:54that's already has reduced recoil compensator also add to
- 1:01:58that so it's even less. That's pretty rad.
- 1:02:03Right. So my question is, is this going
- 1:02:06to be too much? Is it going to get out of
- 1:02:08control where you know, weapons are just ridiculously OP and
- 1:02:14then CI GS going to do their typical thing and they're going
- 1:02:17to do a knee jerk reaction, scale it all back until there's
- 1:02:20no point in it anymore? I thought that was SOP.
- 1:02:24I thought that. Well, if they get introduced,
- 1:02:26degradation. Right.
- 1:02:28Once that gets it, that's going to take.
- 1:02:31That's going to that's going to help.
- 1:02:33But I mean, I do feel like the stats are a little high for what
- 1:02:39it, you know, like what you do it maybe it should be a little
- 1:02:42less, but. I don't know, I.
- 1:02:46Haven't really gotten into any PvP yet with it, well I did
- 1:02:48today but it was I I I could have killed him with a rock.
- 1:02:52But but then do you feel that, do you feel that like the mining
- 1:02:57part of it, like how long it takes to find the higher purity
- 1:03:01stuff? I'm going to just call it
- 1:03:02purity. I like that better, the higher
- 1:03:05purity of stuff. Does that equate?
- 1:03:10If it does that, like, does it compare a little bit or scale
- 1:03:14with? The it's.
- 1:03:15Cool. It's neat and it's good for this
- 1:03:19tier 0 implementation. I mean, this is this is brand
- 1:03:22new, right? And it's it's not that bad for
- 1:03:26when you're looking at like that.
- 1:03:27But as time goes on and I see the other guy with his hand up,
- 1:03:31he's going to be heavy on this too.
- 1:03:33It's refining there should, there should be this could this
- 1:03:38could they can really expand on this and make it even more
- 1:03:40interesting? We're finding need some
- 1:03:43gameplay. Yeah.
- 1:03:45And it should be like somewhat active, you know, I mean not
- 1:03:48just throw it in, choose this and go like you got to like
- 1:03:52adjust it here, you got to adjust it there or get the
- 1:03:54right, you know, you got to mixture, mixture.
- 1:03:58On for. Rob, because he's got a lot.
- 1:04:00On it but. Now let's just keep going.
- 1:04:02So is the piece. And.
- 1:04:05Come on, man, you're waiting for 20 minutes.
- 1:04:08Rob, Sir, his arm is tired. He's switched to hands.
- 1:04:11Three times. No, he's got, he's got strong
- 1:04:14triceps and I I've seen them, I've touched him.
- 1:04:17So I just got 1 little thing though.
- 1:04:20Yeah. OK, he recommended a place down
- 1:04:23in New York City to go go have dinner.
- 1:04:25Best dinner I've ever had in my life.
- 1:04:27Oh, really? We'll talk about it later.
- 1:04:29We'll talk about it off there. I may be going back up there in
- 1:04:32a bit, so the last thing I'll say before I bring on this
- 1:04:36gentleman broccoli Rob, is that Bill you said?
- 1:04:40I'd call it purity. I agree.
- 1:04:42I think if they called it purity instead of quality, no one would
- 1:04:45have a problem with it. I think just by naming it
- 1:04:48quality, it sounds it. It's stupid because it doesn't
- 1:04:52make any sense. I.
- 1:04:54Agree, Wicca needs to talk to that Lady he always talks about
- 1:04:57and have them fix it. No there any orders.
- 1:05:02Is there a problem? Don't mention her name.
- 1:05:04We're legally not allowed to anymore.
- 1:05:06Well, Speaking of people legally not allowed to talk, it is
- 1:05:09Broccoli Rob here joining us on the Coms radio.
- 1:05:11Broccoli Rob. Hey nerd, why don't you just
- 1:05:14play the game? What's going on, everybody?
- 1:05:19I actually just showed up for the Harry Potter hate.
- 1:05:22Oh yeah. Oh.
- 1:05:24Yeah, as an eternal hater of Harry Potter.
- 1:05:27But they they shit on the floor and then magic it away.
- 1:05:29That's what they did before plumbing.
- 1:05:31Come on. Bro yeah, we could do a whole
- 1:05:35hour about how Harry Harry Potter's ridiculously stupid,
- 1:05:38but. No one hour's just getting me
- 1:05:40started. Yeah.
- 1:05:43Anyway, yeah. It's like, what are the teachers
- 1:05:46doing? They're sending children to
- 1:05:50fight their wars for them. I'm sorry.
- 1:05:52Yeah, child soldiers, man. That's just that's just
- 1:05:55tradition. Yeah, whatever.
- 1:05:58Yeah, as well. All right, But yeah, hey, nerd,
- 1:06:03why don't you just play the game right?
- 1:06:06Shit, someone asked him that. You sure where the host?
- 1:06:09Is I was asking, yeah, you did. So I thought that was, I thought
- 1:06:14that was really funny. It was like they're they're part
- 1:06:18of it. They play the game.
- 1:06:19I feel like they're in on the jokes to a certain extent.
- 1:06:25They know that stuff's out there.
- 1:06:26They even like showcase it. Like I feel like Regolith has
- 1:06:30been mentioned by them at least in like newsletters and stuff.
- 1:06:36I love it that they can poke some fun at the community and
- 1:06:39they're not all buttoned up and like acting like all this stuff
- 1:06:42doesn't exist. To be fair, that's how they used
- 1:06:46to be a lot more like. If we remember a few years ago
- 1:06:50they were a lot more ignore everything and only say good
- 1:06:55things. Yeah.
- 1:06:57I think part of, I think part of that was because they were
- 1:07:00giving themselves so much bad press all the time with the way
- 1:07:04they, with the way they used to do the, what do you call it, the
- 1:07:08road map with the patches, right?
- 1:07:10They were constantly showing stuff like 3 patches out.
- 1:07:12This is what we're going to have.
- 1:07:13And it obviously it was never delivered.
- 1:07:17I think they had way more bad press back then because of the
- 1:07:20way they were presenting themselves.
- 1:07:24Yeah, nerds. Yeah.
- 1:07:28And so now it's like, more lighthearted, and it's fun and
- 1:07:30like, it is fun to not only play the game, like, it's fun to look
- 1:07:36at, like, what people are talking about different websites
- 1:07:39that are popping up. Yeah.
- 1:07:44It's just a fun, fun community both in and out of the game.
- 1:07:48I think a lot of that's Jared in terms of the the company's
- 1:07:52direction on communications. I hope he's getting paid.
- 1:07:57Oh yeah. Yeah.
- 1:07:58And because he, because honestly, I see the way he does
- 1:08:01stuff and I'm like, yeah, that's how I would do it.
- 1:08:03Like, don't take it too serious. It's a fucking video game
- 1:08:06probably. Like, chill the fuck out.
- 1:08:09Relax Wicket. Jar jar would be fired within
- 1:08:15probably within a week. Maybe, maybe, but if they didn't
- 1:08:18fire me I'd make them a lot of money for sure.
- 1:08:22Gamble. There'd be more tits in the game
- 1:08:24if I were in there. I'd be like, when do we get in
- 1:08:27the when do we get in the Area 18 strip club?
- 1:08:32Do you mean the Areola 18? Bill, No, Bill would be my #2
- 1:08:38he'd get paid less, but he'd have the better.
- 1:08:40Idea. Or it could be the the Areola
- 1:08:4318. And then we rate him back.
- 1:08:49Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:08:50I'm with you, Broccoli. You've been in there.
- 1:08:52You got a lot to talk about, about the weapons and the
- 1:08:55upgrades and the crafting. I know you have some opinions on
- 1:08:59this. Yeah.
- 1:09:03Regarding the weapons, I don't know, like for all we know, they
- 1:09:07may be balancing around the weapons at 1000 and then just
- 1:09:14dialed everything back to 500. So they're all just kind of
- 1:09:16crappy. But that's a guess on my part.
- 1:09:19But I feel like I know as much as any of us on that.
- 1:09:24So I'm not too worried about the balancing yet.
- 1:09:27I feel like they've been taking that into account for a while
- 1:09:31and would expect to be able to balance around different
- 1:09:35qualities regarding refining. It'll it'll come in like there's
- 1:09:45no, there's no world where they're looking at, you know,
- 1:09:51thousands of pages of different quality materials being like,
- 1:09:55yeah, this is we should do this. We should make sure that people
- 1:09:59are throwing out their, you know, 545 SEU they have because
- 1:10:04they're have a one in 1000 chance of finding or sorry, 545
- 1:10:09quality of iron because there's a one in 1000 chance that
- 1:10:12they're going to find more 545 quality iron.
- 1:10:17Do you? So we just got to place holder.
- 1:10:18Yeah. Do you think the quality
- 1:10:21implementation right now is just because they want crafting to
- 1:10:26work and when you craft stuff it's going to have a quality,
- 1:10:30but that quality is actually going to come from the refining,
- 1:10:33But they just don't have that done yet.
- 1:10:34So they were like fuck it, just put the numbers on the mineables
- 1:10:37themselves. I think the, I think the
- 1:10:40mineables are still going to have numbers and I think it's
- 1:10:42going to be measured on like if you have say A-250 and you're
- 1:10:49like, OK, I want to let us do round numbers.
- 1:10:52I have a 100 quality iron and I want to get up to 1000.
- 1:10:56You're going to refine that 100 quality iron down to like a 10th
- 1:11:02or like a 100th of its size, and the one 100th size is going to
- 1:11:07be 1000 quality. So I think it's going to be the
- 1:11:16what's the best way to put this? The lower quality it is, the
- 1:11:20more SU is going to take to get it to or the more work and less
- 1:11:24SU you're going to get out of it to get a high quality.
- 1:11:28I suspect there will be limits to that where maybe you won't be
- 1:11:31able to get a full 1000, but maybe you'll get a 500 up to say
- 1:11:35750 at most. I, I, I think they'll still want
- 1:11:40you to find that super high and stuff.
- 1:11:44Yeah, but I, I don't think there's a world where they're
- 1:11:48giving you 300 quality and being like, yeah, I don't know, figure
- 1:11:51it out. Yeah.
- 1:11:52It's got to be used for something and refining is the
- 1:11:55most logical. Use it as catalyst or whatever.
- 1:12:01If if we have to wait until base building to really throw away
- 1:12:05mats like that into something, that's how I can selling stuff.
- 1:12:11Which actually that was going to be the question that I was
- 1:12:15putting forward. Do you think quality is going to
- 1:12:17have a really big impact on base building as well?
- 1:12:20Like if you're building your little like, you know, Quonset
- 1:12:25Hut way out in the thing, like if you're using shitty seal, how
- 1:12:29much is that going to impact it? So, but also, like I I agree
- 1:12:36with Rob, they're they're going to have to do some kind of
- 1:12:38refining gameplay. I mean, there, it's already sort
- 1:12:43of prototypes there, but like there's, there's going to have
- 1:12:46to be something for us to like take all of those.
- 1:12:48I don't want to call them waste materials, but you know,
- 1:12:52effectively low quality materials and turn them into
- 1:12:54something. Yeah, 'cause you've got what?
- 1:12:59Like .0? Sorry, go ahead.
- 1:13:01No, you go ahead. I'm.
- 1:13:02Going to say you have point O1 SEU of 124 quality, 125 quality,
- 1:13:08126 quality. And then like, what are you just
- 1:13:10going to regularly load that up into a ship and then sail it off
- 1:13:13into the into the plaque and then empty it out like it just
- 1:13:19doesn't? Yeah, I mean for now.
- 1:13:22Yeah, Yeah. I also think that like base
- 1:13:27building is going to be a sink for a lot of lower quality
- 1:13:29materials as well, because I can't imagine that they're going
- 1:13:31to do, they're going to have that big of an impact when
- 1:13:33you're, you know, building a. Right.
- 1:13:36Like what would they? I mean, I guess maybe the
- 1:13:38building's durability things like maybe you could have, you
- 1:13:44know, oxygen leakage be a factor if the building is low quality.
- 1:13:49I don't know. I'm trying to think of things
- 1:13:51that they could put that into, but it just goes back to why
- 1:13:55they need to get rid of the whole standard quality for.
- 1:14:00It just doesn't make sense. No, I, yeah, they're going to
- 1:14:04have to do something and I, I, I think they're going to have to
- 1:14:06also compress the like security on there because having 1000
- 1:14:11ranks that you can go through there seems a little excessive
- 1:14:16and like it just invites over complicating things.
- 1:14:21Even like I, I work with metals for fun, even with regard to,
- 1:14:25you know, like whatever metal you're looking at in real life,
- 1:14:29you're, you're not thinking of it in terms of like I've got all
- 1:14:34these different thousands of ways that we could levels of
- 1:14:37quality here. You know, you've got pure and
- 1:14:40less pure and then crappy. Yes, I think that's again goes
- 1:14:45back to that. Change the name of quality to
- 1:14:47purity, give it whatever 3 levels you need or however you
- 1:14:52want to denote it. And then that is kind of your,
- 1:14:56your yield. Yes.
- 1:14:59Yield. Right.
- 1:15:00How much yield are you going to get when you refine this right
- 1:15:03and refining is the game play. Exactly, exactly, exactly.
- 1:15:07If I, if I have a a high purity rock, I'm going to get more
- 1:15:12yield out of that than a low, which we already have that with
- 1:15:16the percentage of it. It's kind of what that is
- 1:15:18anyway. I don't think you need the
- 1:15:21quality at all here. I think it's a total misstep.
- 1:15:26And maybe maybe it is temporary, maybe it's temporary.
- 1:15:31And then they're just, they're just going to move it over to
- 1:15:33refining once that comes in. And then it becomes more
- 1:15:36interesting where you got the whole, oh, I'm going to refine,
- 1:15:39you know, I need to make steel. So I've got to put in, you know,
- 1:15:42the iron and the carbon, but I've, I've got to do it just
- 1:15:45right to get the better quality and yadda yadda, yadda.
- 1:15:50Yeah, yeah. So we're coming close to the end
- 1:15:53of the show here. I do want to ask everybody what
- 1:15:58they think of the Iran conflict, but I think we're.
- 1:16:02Let's let's skip that for now. OK, fine.
- 1:16:04We'll just end the show. The way we're going to end the
- 1:16:08show this week is the way we end the show every week.
- 1:16:13And I go around backwards and ask each person with if they
- 1:16:16have anything they want to say to Chris Roberts, CIG or the
- 1:16:19people on the Internet. And Broccoli Rob, you're the
- 1:16:21last one in today, buddy. So Broccoli Rob, is there
- 1:16:23anything you want to say to CIG, Chris Roberts or the people on?
- 1:16:28The Internet. Hurry up with social tools.
- 1:16:30Give us an org bank. Org.
- 1:16:35Or org. Yeah, org, org.
- 1:16:37Org But you know what? The orgs.
- 1:16:40You're banned. Org.
- 1:16:42Ban me, I'll fight you. I'm not going to tell you that
- 1:16:44restaurant name. Cool.
- 1:16:47Raw. All right, You're back next
- 1:16:50week. Alright, Temp.
- 1:16:51Temp temporarily banned until I go back to New York City.
- 1:16:55Who the fuck? Who is next?
- 1:16:56Murphy Jack? Murphy Jack, I think you were
- 1:16:59next. Murphy Jack.
- 1:17:00Is there anything you want to say to CIG, Chris Roberts, or
- 1:17:02the people on the Internet? So Stool says those tools would
- 1:17:07be great for the Guild. You'll master be able to use it
- 1:17:10pretty well. Let's do it.
- 1:17:13OK, well, will you will you tell me where that restaurant is?
- 1:17:22He had a pretty good time there. You can't remember.
- 1:17:26He had. He had so much fun he can't
- 1:17:27remember. Fine dude, Who was next?
- 1:17:31I don't even remember, was it Hatter?
- 1:17:34Very. Yeah, I was paying attention.
- 1:17:37To CIG, Chris Roberts or the people on the Internet.
- 1:17:40I think Chris Roberts should make a sequel to the Wing
- 1:17:42Commander movie. Bring Matthew Lillard back like
- 1:17:45it'll be perfect, I swear. Can you replace that's?
- 1:17:49Freddie Prince, Junior, OH. Yeah, we're gonna have to do
- 1:17:54that. No, he should come in as like a
- 1:17:56a surprise cameo towards the end.
- 1:17:58He's. Been traveling.
- 1:18:00I don't know. I'm gonna.
- 1:18:03Have to think about that one obviously all.
- 1:18:05Right, next week. The gauze next week Next week
- 1:18:07could come back Who? Who replaces Freddie Prince
- 1:18:09Junior? Wicket, Wicket.
- 1:18:13Is there anything you'd like to say to CIG, Chris Roberts or the
- 1:18:16people on the Internet? Sandy Gardner?
- 1:18:19Rodner Roberts? Please let Chris Roberts know.
- 1:18:274.7 Well done, it's a good first start.
- 1:18:30Wow, lots of room for improvement.
- 1:18:35I went mining with my Guild master, went off in different
- 1:18:39directions. We're looking at our Rs
- 1:18:41signatures and looking for numbers.
- 1:18:44We know OK, these are the three. This is three rocks we're
- 1:18:47looking for. This is 4.
- 1:18:48When you get up on them and you scan the the rocks and you're
- 1:18:51like looking for that quality number, you're looking for the
- 1:18:54juicy juice of the juice and you finally hit pay dirt and you get
- 1:18:59something above 900. It was just great.
- 1:19:01It was fun. Now, the mining took nothing,
- 1:19:05but the scanning took it all all the time.
- 1:19:08And it it it was just a fun time to be in Star Citizen again.
- 1:19:11It made me want to play the game.
- 1:19:13And I thank you guys for that. Well done, CIG.
- 1:19:18Well done, CIG. All right.
- 1:19:20I second this. Yeah.
- 1:19:23Cosmic Kobo. Anything you want to say to CIG?
- 1:19:25Chris Roberts with people on. Internet.
- 1:19:30I didn't say anything about instancing in the road map.
- 1:19:34So where's that? Where's where's our instance?
- 1:19:39I still like quasi distributed. What was the term kind of
- 1:19:47sharding, but like quasi that fuck, I can't remember the term,
- 1:19:52but where's like where's instancing?
- 1:19:54Where? Where'd that at?
- 1:19:58All right, real words, not what Rock Breaker was when you buy
- 1:20:03it. It's not instanced.
- 1:20:04It's not properly instanced. In fact, it's actually a problem
- 1:20:08that it's not properly instanced because people can log out and
- 1:20:11log back in at locations. This is.
- 1:20:14A problem. Fuck dude.
- 1:20:18Interesting PP Lord Anubis. Lord Anubis.
- 1:20:24Anything you want to say to CAG Chris Roberts of the people on
- 1:20:26the Internet? Yes to Cigi want to say thank
- 1:20:33you for progressing this game to point where it is.
- 1:20:37We, I, I can think we all are looking forward to seeing what
- 1:20:42the next couple months bring us and the eventual release of
- 1:20:47Squadron 42 which will be overshadowed by GTA 6 and no one
- 1:20:53another napping they got they got to pick the timing out.
- 1:20:58Yeah, yeah. They got to freaking advertise
- 1:21:01more. Yeah, and I'm sorry, but if
- 1:21:03you're not on console, you're not going to make as much money.
- 1:21:06I mean, it's just not going to happen.
- 1:21:07I mean, luckily it's already made its money.
- 1:21:09But you know, the truth is, is that you you have to be, you
- 1:21:12have to be big, you have to be popular, you have to be
- 1:21:15affordable. And right now when RAM is like
- 1:21:17$400.00, it ain't affordable. Neither is APS 5, they just
- 1:21:23upped the price on that too, so yeah.
- 1:21:25That's. True, true.
- 1:21:27Still. More affordable than AP, than a
- 1:21:30Star Citizen capable PC, and most people don't know how to
- 1:21:33build a build 1 or how to, you know, get a used 1.
- 1:21:37So they're very introvert. It's not as expensive, let's be
- 1:21:43real. And to Chris Roberts.
- 1:21:47Oh yeah. I just have to tell you, please
- 1:21:53protect your wife. You know, you all have the
- 1:21:58restraining orders out there, but Sandy needs to be protected.
- 1:22:02So you know, 'cause wicked. Alright, alright.
- 1:22:09Alright. One day, one day Jar Jar is
- 1:22:12going to meet. He's going to be talking to
- 1:22:13Sandy and Chris. It's going to be this great
- 1:22:15moment. He's going to be wearing like an
- 1:22:17open comms badge. And they'll be like, oh, what is
- 1:22:19that? And he starts talking about it.
- 1:22:21And then Sandy is just going to give Chris a look and, and she's
- 1:22:24going to be like, that's the one.
- 1:22:25And then security is going to come out and just fucking tackle
- 1:22:31Jar Jar. And then he just came here.
- 1:22:32And then you're just going to hear that might.
- 1:22:35Happen. Let's leave Sandy alone.
- 1:22:38And security can be like oh. He's.
- 1:22:42Over here. Oh, he's over there.
- 1:22:43Hey folder checkpoint, where'd he go?
- 1:22:47Oh, you got your cousin. That's my favorite.
