- 0:36Speaker 1: Festival and what exactly is been organized.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Yes, Katie, So this is all about joy of many
- 0:43Speaker 2: colors fashion and show and the taste of many colours
- 0:46Speaker 2: food Deexpo which is annually organizing from Connected Women Groups
- 0:51Speaker 2: on behalf of Red Cross. So this time our speciality
- 0:56Speaker 2: is we are partnering with the Town Council Katherine Town
- 0:59Speaker 2: Call to help these fashion show and their food exhibitions.
- 1:05Speaker 2: So these events are like basically promoting like this is
- 1:11Speaker 2: the platform for all the similarity captering semility members to
- 1:15Speaker 2: showcase their talent, especially on the fashion show. It's a
- 1:19Speaker 2: cultural fashion show. We have five segments, so they can
- 1:24Speaker 2: showcase their culture, they can showcase their business, business, attire,
- 1:31Speaker 2: casual there, evening, we are party there. And especially there
- 1:35Speaker 2: are special segments called capacity building workshop segments, which is
- 1:41Speaker 2: connected women members. Like throughout the year, we are running
- 1:44Speaker 2: some workshops, we are making some jewelries. They will the
- 1:50Speaker 2: ladies will do their own dress just making and they
- 1:55Speaker 2: will do their own makeup. So this is kind of
- 1:57Speaker 2: like capacity building workshop wonderful throughout the year.
- 2:01Speaker 1: It sounds like it'll be a wonderful event. You Shani,
- 2:04Speaker 1: how many people are you expecting to attend?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Definitely? All Katharine now welcomes. All Kapin now welcome. Definitely.

- 2:25Speaker 2: different different backgrounds as example, Indian culture, Napolice culture, Sri
- 2:31Speaker 2: Lankan culture, Indigenous Australians, Bangladesh, It's Nigerian, African Sudan. Is
- 2:39Speaker 2: everyone going to showcase their talent on that day?
- 2:42Speaker 1: It sounds like it is going to be fantastic. And
- 2:45Speaker 1: I understand that the fashion show is also going to
- 2:47Speaker 1: be using some recycled items. Is that right?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yes, definitely, definitely. So we're going to show up like
- 2:56Speaker 2: how you can change your casual dress into a formal
- 2:59Speaker 2: dress within putting a one like one added to one
- 3:02Speaker 2: added item to your dress, maybe a one jacket or
- 3:06Speaker 2: one belt. So it's kind of a showcase like how
- 3:11Speaker 2: with minimum resources, how we can clute nicely and tell me.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Obviously there's going to be over fifty models, some of
- 3:21Speaker 1: those with migrant and indigenous backgrounds. You Shannie, how important
- 3:26Speaker 1: is it that you know that you have a really
- 3:29Speaker 1: diverse range of people that are taking part in the event.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yes, definitely, you're true. Yeah, it's true, Kerty. And because
- 3:39Speaker 2: connected women groups, especially connected women group is a very
- 3:42Speaker 2: safer platform for every women who are come from migrant
- 3:47Speaker 2: background or the different cultural background especially, this is a
- 3:52Speaker 2: platform which is culturally safe and they are get supported
- 3:58Speaker 2: and empowered through their lies and we enhance their abilities.
- 4:02Speaker 2: So it's not only two like because Catherine is a
- 4:07Speaker 2: very diverse back divers community, so it's not only about
- 4:14Speaker 2: migrants indigenous people and all the communities come together for
- 4:20Speaker 2: our workshops and other events.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And you, Shannie, is there money being raised as well
- 4:26Speaker 1: for the Red Cross or or what are the is
- 4:30Speaker 1: there going to be funds raised and if so, what's
- 4:31Speaker 1: it going to go towards.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yes, on the board board desk we have the drink
- 4:40Speaker 2: drink corner. That means like our Connected Women ladies going
- 4:44Speaker 2: to make their own cultural drinks and some soft drinks
- 4:47Speaker 2: and water. We're going to like it's it's kind of
- 4:50Speaker 2: a fundraiser. Those aren't going back to the Connected Women group,
- 4:54Speaker 2: which we can help all the asylum seekers, reigees and
- 4:58Speaker 2: all the migrants who was isolated at the moment.
