- 1:38Speaker 2: How sweet it is.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, 12 and 0.
- 1:42Speaker 2: For the fourth time in program history, back to back state titles Florida State With the backup Quarterback, tate Roddemaker Stepped in Resilient.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I think it's more of what he didn't do that sticks out.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I think Herbstree mentioned that on the broadcast Whoever doesn't make the mistake, and I don't.
- 2:09Speaker 2: You know, florida State's defense was lights out.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I mean literally Lights almost negatively out.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they just.
- 2:19Speaker 1: They put the clamp down, the clamp down the last 20 minutes of the game.
- 2:23Speaker 1: What happened?
- 2:24Speaker 2: Negative eight yards.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Correct.
- 2:28Speaker 2: The last 20 minutes of the contest for the Gators At home.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah, just overwhelmed them.
- 2:34Speaker 2: And then, when you got a, I guess ugly wins don't count, unless they're in the Big 10.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Yeah, because I mean.
- 2:44Speaker 2: No, whatever man, it's football Monday.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I'm not on a national show.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Like Matt Barry is the host won and he gets to put his top six and, like any, you know, not even the big.
- 2:54Speaker 2: That whole segment was so he could put his top six, because you had the coach who had his top six.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Who's going to be the next?
- 3:02Speaker 2: They both had the same Four undefeated teams.
- 3:06Speaker 2: The obvious choice was the four undefeated teams.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It was just.
- 3:09Speaker 1: So, Matt Barry went with the.
- 3:12Speaker 2: So he could put Florida State's six Corporate shield.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Answer Because of what he saw.
- 3:17Speaker 2: But in the end of the day you had Georgia beat Georgia Tech by eight.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Right and Washington beat Washington, state Washington and sneaked by a Washington State team.
- 3:29Speaker 2: What's their record?
- 3:29Speaker 2: And that was at home Five and seven, just like Florida, right.
- 3:35Speaker 2: So I, just Just because you don't get the stars you want in the show, that just shows you it's a TV show, because it's bull crap.
- 3:44Speaker 1: It is and it has everything to do with it is.
- 3:45Speaker 1: We can't sell Tate Rodermaker.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Has there ever been an undefeated team?
- 3:51Speaker 2: Get jumped by a one-loss team, Well yeah.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 2: But has there been another one?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Since?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Yeah, no, game control has never been a, never been you.
- 4:02Speaker 2: So I wonder, why A go-to analytics stat if you fans feel like this, well, I mean, I get it.
- 4:08Speaker 2: They're going to get defensive because that doesn't happen to Alabama or Ohio State or Florida or anybody before that hadn't gotten there, but anybody that would If they were going to go undefeated.
- 4:23Speaker 2: And it just happens this year you have more teams that are eligible Right now.
- 4:26Speaker 1: It's about as easy as it gets, yeah Well my best advice to Florida State fans is to just not worry about it.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah, until if and when the team goes undefeated.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Should they beat Louisville Saturday and then actually land outside of the top four, then yeah, feel free to bitch, because it's, it will be unfair.
- 4:48Speaker 1: But right now I will not be surprised when they put Oregon at number four.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Is that what you?
- 4:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I expect Tuesday.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I can see it happening, man, they're trying to set up the championship Saturday.
- 5:02Speaker 1: They're going to have number four versus number three, so they can be an automatic.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 1: So it's an automatic chance to go to the playoff on the line.
- 5:10Speaker 2: And they already have the precedent of jumping an undefeated team Right.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I think that's what I'd be worried about.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I think the fan base that needs to feel the least confident and the most gypped right now are Texas fans, because essentially, they're, they're win over Alabama is really looking like it's not going to mean a whole lot.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Man, I mean you look at that Alabama.
- 5:32Speaker 2: They should have lost but they didn't.
- 5:34Speaker 2: They came over the big play.
- 5:35Speaker 2: It was a hell of a throw.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that was insane you don't drop to.
- 5:40Speaker 2: You got to put some pressure on that kid.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He can run it.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Well you do.
- 5:43Speaker 1: The defensive back made a horrible play.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, but I get it.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Can't let him have all that time to rear up and throw it.
- 5:51Speaker 1: No, not when he can throw it, like that, you know.
- 5:55Speaker 1: He may not have the best touch and, in the most, the best ability to read defenses.
- 6:03Speaker 1: You know the whole field and stuff like that, but one thing that is unquestionable is the fact that he can absolutely uncork it.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and he did.
- 6:13Speaker 1: He threw it towards the back pylon.
- 6:15Speaker 1: He put it right on a line man, he uncorked it.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Right in the corner and to the delight of Fowler and Herpstrait, as everyone saw before the game.
- 6:24Speaker 2: But I mean it was.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I mean I don't think I was cheering, but that brings Alabama into quite.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I mean they still have to take care of business and this is just speculation.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You have a championship to play for.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I'm going to be honest with you, man.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Like, if a team beats Georgia for a conference title and you know they only have one loss, I I don't have a problem with Alabama winning the SEC and going to the playoff.
- 6:54Speaker 1: My issue would be if they decided that, hey, georgia gets to go too.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that's where I was like, I've never even thought of that.
- 7:03Speaker 2: But Right, if you lose, if you lose this year, I mean I always it didn't like it, it shouldn't have mattered, just because they did that when they got their first championship.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Georgia did so, that was, but that's, that shouldn't be the case.
- 7:19Speaker 2: You know those championships and regular season, it should mean something Losing that close to the end of the season.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Right, and when you have the potential, when you beat.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Florida in the rivalry game.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Imagine this beating Florida right and then having them get a chance to rematch that for the national championship.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 7:37Speaker 2: That happened as everyone knows.
- 7:39Speaker 1: But yeah, and it took some things unfolding, you know, and that's, that's going to happen.
- 7:44Speaker 2: That's back when the bowl coalition still existed.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Um, who was it?
- 7:48Speaker 1: Was it Arizona state that could have finished undefeated?
- 7:51Speaker 1: And they did One.
- 7:52Speaker 2: They lost and if they, if they would have, but they had to go to the Rose Bowl because they had the automatic pack.
- 8:00Speaker 2: 12 champion goes to the Rose Bowl.
- 8:02Speaker 2: That was the problem then.
- 8:03Speaker 2: That's the only reason they got the championship.
- 8:05Speaker 2: They had two undefeated teams.
- 8:07Speaker 2: It's just they had to go to play different teams because of their Rose Bowl alliance.
- 8:13Speaker 2: It's stupid.
- 8:14Speaker 2: But anyway, you go back and you look at the game Saturday with FSU and it was a ugly game, but you thought it was going to be that man, you motions were at a high and I thought the difference of the game in the end was one team was mature and disciplined, one team wasn't.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's crucial times.
- 8:40Speaker 2: It killed Florida.
- 8:41Speaker 2: It did Both penalties that they literally lost their cool and showed undisciplined care.
- 8:47Speaker 2: They I mean, there was one play.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I could see the the Florida defender just like hit the coach out of the way.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and I like that was, that was that's those are the little things, man.
- 8:59Speaker 2: This is a.
- 8:59Speaker 2: This is what you, this is.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Mike Norvell is paying off.
- 9:02Speaker 2: He's working hard behind the scenes, Right.
- 9:06Speaker 1: And there was a team that kept their composure and the other team didn't.
- 9:10Speaker 1: At home that that was an emotional game.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah, what are you doing?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Trying to knock the quarterback out at that point of the game?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a killer, that was crucial, yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I mean, and then you're going to do nothing but fire up everyone on the other team.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:28Speaker 2: And hurt your own team because you just gave them a first down and it was absolutely I'm pretty sure Atrocious.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Two, three plays later after that play is when Pence and score his third touchdown and ended it Right.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So that was I mean, that was the game right there.
- 9:44Speaker 1: That was you know.
- 9:46Speaker 1: They would have been getting the ball back down too.
- 9:48Speaker 2: But I don't know if they would have done anything because that defense.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Well, they hadn't done anything up to that point.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and they got the first touchdown off an atrocious call on unnecessary roughness, where they didn't call targeting but through a flag, you know.
- 10:04Speaker 2: So they didn't get to replay it, but they could just call unnecessary roughness for hitting it was.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It was a try, it didn't make any sense.
- 10:11Speaker 2: It deserved explanation.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I that's why I wish McDonald was on the call.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I want an explanation.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I love how he asked for the explanation, because he should mean we're all watching the same thing.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, especially when they slow it down on these replays.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It was a day.
- 10:26Speaker 2: with the TVs they have nowadays, you can see everything.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Yeah, they would not have had an explanation and you know it wouldn't have.
- 10:33Speaker 1: It wouldn't have mattered.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You know, once they throw the flag and mark it off, you're not getting it back.
- 10:38Speaker 1: That's true.
- 10:40Speaker 2: But I mean, at a crucial point in the game to throw that kind of flag.
- 10:43Speaker 2: But if you were to throw that kind of flag, it should have been a.
- 10:46Speaker 2: It's a call targeting.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Yeah, like that I mean why?
- 10:51Speaker 2: why else would it be it like?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Because otherwise he just what hit him too hard.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Give him the business, as Ron Cherry said that one time.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Give him the business Might as well.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Just been that, that, that call.
- 11:03Speaker 2: But you know it's 12 and oh and it.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Just what you're saying is and you gotta.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Don't be surprised at a state's ranked fifth.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Oregon's fourth yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I would not.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I would not be surprised.
- 11:16Speaker 2: No, they were at home and beat Oregon State.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Man, I guess that was impressive.
- 11:20Speaker 1: What it or I mean.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I'm just saying who's coach is already.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Yeah, they found out like an hour through social media, said that he was out of there.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yeah, this is all too much politicking, man.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's football.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I mean, if you're gonna get paid which they are at least let's do some sort of Playoff scenario where you get in based on wins, and then or tiebreaker scenarios where it's settled on something you did on the field.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Like this is ridiculous.
- 11:46Speaker 2: That we're gonna, you're gonna go undefeated.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I just they're gonna go ahead and rank Oregon.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I know what you're talking about.
- 11:54Speaker 2: They want to have Washington Oregon automatically.
- 11:56Speaker 2: No debate are getting in right, but it's just, it's not right.
- 12:02Speaker 2: They lost a game.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they did.
- 12:05Speaker 1: You know they'll get a chance to avenge their loss.
- 12:08Speaker 2: They win, they're gonna go right they don't need to jump an undefeated team.
- 12:12Speaker 2: They can make them jump.
- 12:13Speaker 2: They can jump Florida State next week, but, like, don't Make a pre-funery of the rankings by doing it this week, just to.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I think that's what they're kind of like.
- 12:24Speaker 1: You said they're positioning that for in case Oregon wins or then what if Alabama wins?
- 12:29Speaker 1: That's what everything gets, gets really, really, really dicey yeah, and it always has been, you know, the only real conference.
- 12:39Speaker 2: What if Florida State wins another ugly match against Louisville, where Tate doesn't turn the ball over, but he doesn't look like Jordan Travis again?
- 12:46Speaker 2: Defense balls out and Trey Benson has three touchdowns, I think the only made up.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You know the only way optics come into it and and you know, look, having it be an ugly win is is again.
- 12:57Speaker 1: If you're talking about Alabama beating Georgia, the SEC is the only conference that's gonna have a shot at getting two teams in Always and forever.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It's never been any different.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Well, the big 10 got two teams yeah.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I know, but not this year.
- 13:11Speaker 1: There was no house state, there was no house.
- 13:13Speaker 1: They've done man.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Well, they ranked.
- 13:15Speaker 1: They've ranked them six in the AP, if it's any AP, and the coaches both have FSU, for it seems obvious right If you have undefeated teams now Louisville Beach, florida State, and then then it gets, you know, the teams with one loss start really Really starting to duke it out to see yeah, but that's it's.
- 13:34Speaker 2: If you sat the president this Tuesday, I put no one-loss team.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yeah whatever you got to win a championship, championship on the line before yeah yeah, I know they've won.
- 13:48Speaker 1: They've done a board of one team and that was the team that was started.
- 13:51Speaker 1: The season number one.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It was still unbeaten.
- 13:53Speaker 2: They didn't have a quarterback out Like the way they were winning yeah, so they can do whatever they want.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I won't be surprised, but you play to win the game unless unless it's college is played Right.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Well, right now it's about selling the matchups and they're trying to sell the QBs you got bow nicks versus pinnix, I mean you know it's still four versus five or three versus five.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I mean that the winner is gonna get the four right, but they want the winner to be able to stay right there at number three, Mm-hmm.
- 14:24Speaker 1: So you can get that big 10.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all about match up, it's all about what happens after the championship, where we're gonna rank these teams right.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Right now, all teams win.
- 14:35Speaker 2: We've said it it's gonna be Florida State would go at four.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Play Georgia, yeah, washington, washington or Oregon will be right there at three, playing Michigan, because you know you're so they're going ahead.
- 14:51Speaker 2: That would be the reason they ranked Oregon ahead of Florida State.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you get that traditional match, but I don't give a crap, wait till the week, wait till Sunday to release that.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Then you can be like yeah, that win against Washington was more impressive than against win against Louisville.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Yeah, that's perfect, I mean I.
- 15:06Speaker 2: but at the same time you're just kind of splitting hairs, I know, but between a loss, though that's what I'm trying to say is like I don't think you need to go ahead and set the president.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Well, you look at it right now you Disrespecting the game, oregon is already ranked.
- 15:19Speaker 1: What are the our?
- 15:19Speaker 1: Favored with nine and a half points over Washington this this week.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Like they fully expect Oregon to beat Washington and and kind of just cancel that loss out.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that's, that's what's gonna work in Oregon's favor.
- 15:33Speaker 1: That's what's not gonna help Texas is they're not gonna get another shot At Oklahoma and even if they did, oklahoma's not undefeated, right and ranked number three in the country.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Well, you know, you just don't want to tell people just handle your business, just handle your business.
- 15:46Speaker 2: And then you don't you do, and then you don't get to tell you don't get to celebrate or you don't get the right to go.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it would be hilarious.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I think a lot of the A lot of the idea that Florida State, going 13 and 0, could still get left out is getting pushed by just ESPN and just the Just ESPN and just that kind of affiliated Media team out there.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Um, you see a lot of people who aren't Under the ESPN umbrella that say that it's you know.
- 16:15Speaker 1: It's pretty ridiculous to even consider that.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.
- 16:20Speaker 1: So I again, until it actually happens.
- 16:23Speaker 2: I would just try to ignore as much.
- 16:25Speaker 1: ESPN and you know, matt Berry, trash as you, as you can, number six guys out of his mind.
- 16:31Speaker 1: To be hosting the inside tonight or something in sports.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but then, man, Alabama did get saved.
- 16:39Speaker 2: They get eight.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Man, that was a hell of a play.
- 16:42Speaker 2: That's gonna 10 years.
- 16:43Speaker 1: That's another thing, man.
- 16:44Speaker 1: It's like you're playing a team that just got blown out.
- 16:48Speaker 2: At home by the.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Mexico State and you need a muff, a muff punt, just the worst muff punt I've ever seen.
- 16:54Speaker 1: And then the most unlikely fourth down, hail Mary, after an atrocious play by Milrow, where he just Just goes walk about, let's the ball go right by him.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yeah, lose like 17 yards on that play, mm-hmm, I just nobody's really talking about it.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Just all man.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Alabama.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Here they are.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Nick, save it again.
- 17:13Speaker 1: They got him looking great.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I Don't think they'll beat Georgia.
- 17:20Speaker 2: No, so I don't they can.
- 17:22Speaker 2: They can.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I don't think that's about five right now, I think yeah, I.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Think this is George's favorite by five.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I'd take Georgia and the points.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah initially.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I mean, I mean I just don't see anybody beating Georgia, barring injuries or anything like that, like it's well, we'll see it.
- 17:45Speaker 2: You know, I don't think Jaylen no Ro can carve up that secondary.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I think they're gonna be too easy for Georgia identify.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Well and.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Georgia's gonna shut it down.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and one thing is Georgia's not just gonna sit there and let him, you know, sit back in the pocket and kind of run around.
- 18:01Speaker 1: They're gonna bring guys after them.
- 18:03Speaker 1: They're gonna force the issue.
- 18:04Speaker 1: He's either gonna have to tuck it and run or make quick decisions throwing it.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Neither one is really a great idea against that defense.
- 18:12Speaker 1: So we'll see.
- 18:13Speaker 1: But he is also a nightmare to deal with.
- 18:17Speaker 1: If you're you're playing against him, it's gonna be a really good game.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Let's go back to Florida State because I want to talk more about Trey Benson and just Special guy right there.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yes, he is, he's put together.
- 18:32Speaker 1: He's not gonna have the stats that go with no with guys like Dalvin cook and Mordek done, but that dude is clutch yeah, that last run against Florida, his touchdown run against Miami, mm-hmm, you're just like, if you look like they give him a little bit of space, the line finally make him a hole.
- 18:53Speaker 1: He gets to that second and third level and he's just doing it all himself.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah if it's not and you know, yeah, you can break tackles, but he's shaking guys and just running past defensive backs like he's special back man he is you got to just make him the workhorse For the rest of the season.
- 19:13Speaker 1: That that's gonna be Well.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you got it, you got to throw the ball and stuff like that.
- 19:17Speaker 1: But you know, like I, like we, were saying you got to let him get his two or three carries in a row or he's gonna lose yardage.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yeah and then the next two carries.
- 19:26Speaker 1: He's gonna get a hundred yards and a touchdown type of stuff.
- 19:29Speaker 2: So I Mean I just to be expected a man.
- 19:33Speaker 2: You get out there, Tate, you know you're at the swamp at night.
- 19:36Speaker 2: It doesn't take a while.
- 19:38Speaker 2: He looked a little better when they hurried things up.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you know when they.
- 19:43Speaker 2: They just need to do that more, get him more comfortable.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I think he looked a little bit tentative but, like I said, it's better to be You're not sure, don't throw it.
- 19:52Speaker 2: You know what I mean.
- 19:53Speaker 2: And let and rely on that defense and and that.
- 19:56Speaker 2: And rely on Trey Benson, and he did and he didn't mess it up, yeah, and he made a couple good throws.
- 20:03Speaker 2: He had a couple drops, man that would have had some drops.
- 20:05Speaker 1: He had a drop in the end zone it would have had him over 50% Wouldn't have been a great, you know, in terms of of accuracy, completion percentage.
- 20:14Speaker 1: It would have been better than what it was.
- 20:15Speaker 1: There's 12 or 25, but you know, I the only thing that concerned me with the way he played is just he didn't really Operate at the same pace, so it looked a little bit oh the delay games and stuff like that.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Jordan Travis is a special player.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but I can assume that maybe it'll get he'll.
- 20:37Speaker 1: He'll get a little bit more comfortable.
- 20:39Speaker 1: That'll be less of an issue in this game.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Hopefully you're not in the swamp.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you just went live against.
- 20:45Speaker 1: You know one of the toughest situations you're ever gonna face, so Right, and you've played this team before.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll be at a different coaching staff at their place your coaching staff, but still yeah.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Matter not a fan of.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Scott Satterfield Satterfield?
- 21:04Speaker 1: No, not at all.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it says something.
- 21:08Speaker 1: When a guy can bring in a transfer QB, two-time transfer QB and that's about it, and then have a team with this kind of success, the granted they still lost a couple games they shouldn't have lost.
- 21:22Speaker 1: But again, you know You're talking about a team.
- 21:24Speaker 1: That way they won six games last year, mm-hmm With the dynamic quarterback.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Yeah prom did has just got a guy in there.
- 21:30Speaker 2: They can be consistent.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Yeah, blew it Saturday at home in slow-mo and stoopsy, stoopsy coaching for his life.
- 21:36Speaker 1: How about that?
- 21:38Speaker 1: Yeah, so.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I don't know what, either Texas A&M got turned down by they wanted to hire stoopsy and he turned them down, or what?
- 21:48Speaker 1: Or there was a name.
- 21:50Speaker 2: No, we didn't want you.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I think, yeah.
- 21:53Speaker 1: And then there's a.
- 21:54Speaker 1: There's a story out there that their AD, ross Bjork, kind of pulled a fast one on on part of the booster oh Group.
- 22:04Speaker 1: There, you know, they kind of got a coach approved and then went and hired his buddy.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I don't know man.
- 22:09Speaker 1: It's weird though, cuz stoopsy was being reported and then All of a sudden it wasn't gonna happen, and now it's Mike Elko.
- 22:15Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what we thought it would be.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Mike Elko makes sense.
- 22:20Speaker 1: So it's crazy.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah, the deco coordinator of the guy that you just fired.
- 22:24Speaker 2: You hired the DC that he had hired Initially when he got the job.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Well you, yeah man, you essentially you hired you were going after two former Jimbo defensive two former DCs of the guy you just fired.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Right, I guess they went with the guy with experience in college station.
- 22:42Speaker 1: It's it crazy, man.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I would look.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna get crazy.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I would look for Riley Leonard to To head to Notre Dame.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Wow.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Duke will.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Who knows who Duke's gonna hire?
- 22:53Speaker 1: They're looking they may look at it, willie Fritz, it's a farm system for Notre Dame.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah all those schools do wake for us, get a good quarterback.
- 23:03Speaker 1: He's going to Notre Dame.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah well, they'll get on there and sell those academics.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I tell you what it seems to be like what Notre Dame's, just like the leader of the back.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you know we're not gonna come, but go get Stanford, they'll come and then we'll play them and cow.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Yeah, they do what they want.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah, and they got network power.
- 23:22Speaker 1: It's true, that is true.
- 23:24Speaker 1: But it's gonna be a wild offseason man coaching, hires, transfers, stuff like that.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I wouldn't rule out Florida State getting in the getting in the QB transfer.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I wouldn't, wouldn't shock me.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I feel confident that AJ Duffy will move on.
- 23:43Speaker 1: I mean you're going into the the season with three quarterbacks.
- 23:47Speaker 1: You know Rodermaker will see how he looks as he continues to go, but after that you got freshman.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Essentially you know Brooklyn Very little experience.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Luke Roman Hawk yeah, I don't even know if it would be like a high-end starter as much as just a guy that can Depth, yeah, but at the same time you know you may not have what you want to have right out of that three.
- 24:10Speaker 2: So how did you feel about Tate's performance after looking back at it?
- 24:15Speaker 1: He can make the throws.
- 24:16Speaker 1: He just it's clearly that he's not operating as Quickly as he needs to.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Some of those plays that that didn't hit were because he was moving a little too slow.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Yeah, the biggest one man you know, early in the game Coleman, out of the backfield right and he was wide, yeah, wide open Wasn't trusting it those quick screen games he's he's a little too slow on that.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to be quick, otherwise you give it like you saw.
- 24:42Speaker 1: You're giving the the defensive chance to blow it up.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Get back there and make a negative play.
- 24:48Speaker 2: But I just had to scratch that.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll feel it out, you know, but he's good at you can push it down the field, man.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I mean he made some really nice throws, yeah, in big moments like right that that fourth and three to Jekai Douglas.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Not enough is being made about that.
- 25:04Speaker 2: That was a huge both players, huge guy stepped up, huge catch.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean you don't do that.
- 25:10Speaker 1: They're getting the ball back.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Same situation they're getting the ball back down to, With plenty of time to move down the field right so it it.
- 25:18Speaker 1: A Lot of people are down on Tate Because the offense didn't go out, there and right.
- 25:26Speaker 1: My thing is is, like you know, we could have Jordan Travis and still Only one, like 31 to 15, you know, eventually.
- 25:35Speaker 2: You know it's a tough game, man tough game, rivalry game.
- 25:38Speaker 2: It's not covered.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Georgia Tech didn't cover.
- 25:42Speaker 1: No, no, I didn't cover, washington didn't cover, so I mean, what are we talking about?
- 25:47Speaker 2: We're not saying one good.
- 25:49Speaker 2: I mean, washington was waiting at the end at home, yeah.
- 25:53Speaker 1: So end at home.
- 25:54Speaker 1: But that's a rivalry game.
- 25:55Speaker 1: It's the Apple.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Cup.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the Apple Cup.
- 25:57Speaker 1: So it well what the hell?
- 25:59Speaker 2: What do I mean?
- 26:00Speaker 1: What are we doing here?
- 26:00Speaker 1: Schools are 200 miles apart, as father noted like five times during the broadcast.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Yeah, broadcast, we can call it that right.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Still waiting for my rod and maker human interest piece man.
- 26:15Speaker 1: They didn't have that.
- 26:16Speaker 1: They had a lot on max, though.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I would have loved to see what kind of athlete Tate was when he was in junior high, right, or what Tate's dad did when he was.
- 26:23Speaker 1: When, even is it playing days, holly?
- 26:31Speaker 2: Let's get a Portal man, so like the transfer portal.
- 26:36Speaker 2: You think Riley Leonard's out at Duke?
- 26:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's.
- 26:42Speaker 1: That's fairly.
- 26:43Speaker 1: That's already talked to you right away.
- 26:44Speaker 2: See grad.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Yeah, if he graduate, transfer or it doesn't matter.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Doesn't matter, you got your one-time waiver.
- 26:51Speaker 1: You know I would look for two lanes Michael Pratt to Probably transfer to Miami, maybe Auburn, I don't know.
- 27:01Speaker 1: He's gonna.
- 27:02Speaker 1: He's gonna hop in.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Most likely He'll be a high commodity.
- 27:04Speaker 1: A lot of talk about cam ward, the Washington State Court Back transferring again.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I don't know how it would work if he can grad transfer, if he would need a waiver.
- 27:15Speaker 1: He's already transferred once from incarnate word To Washington State.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I would like to take a swing at that kid.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Who's that cam ward?
- 27:27Speaker 2: I would like Florida State to maybe maybe look in to getting him.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I think you'll Be in the transfer portal.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I do, you know Washington.
- 27:34Speaker 1: State that the unsupported I do.
- 27:35Speaker 1: You know Washington State the uncertainty around that program and what?
- 27:40Speaker 1: They're gonna do yeah that was it, the pack 12.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it really is, man, you know, losing, losing Oregon State, losing Jonathan Smith, to the big 10 and that he went to Oregon State.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's an alum, that's one of your, like one of your best players in your program's history, and he goes to the big 10.
- 28:00Speaker 1: The school that came, or the pro, you know, the conference that came in and wrecked the pack.
- 28:04Speaker 1: 12, that's a double dose of kicking the nuts right there, man, it sucks.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it was a lazy Sunday.
- 28:15Speaker 2: You know it's Florida, so I figured why not go see Napoleon?
- 28:22Speaker 2: So if you haven't seen it, we're gonna review it and you don't have to watch.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Or you don't know history, but you don't it doesn't matter.
- 28:31Speaker 2: You don't, you don't know history.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Tune out now.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're gonna.
- 28:36Speaker 2: I would say it's Not good.
- 28:43Speaker 1: It's not good man, not great Bob, not great.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I didn't do a good job.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Listen, I can appreciate Joaquin's dedication to getting some of Napoleon's most intricate personality quirks.
- 28:57Speaker 1: We'll put it that way.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about.
- 29:01Speaker 1: But, dude, what a bad movie.
- 29:05Speaker 1: First of all, I don't know why Ridley Scott continues to make films where the lead actor speaks with an American accent.
- 29:15Speaker 1: He usually makes good movies.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I mean they're good movies, but come on.
- 29:18Speaker 2: This was not.
- 29:19Speaker 1: No, this was terrible.
- 29:20Speaker 1: This was not a good movie.
- 29:21Speaker 1: He's like he recycled all of his, you know, robin Hood and Gladiator and all of that, and just kind of he's a Russian dude.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, russian guy.
- 29:29Speaker 1: British accent, austrian British accent, egyptian British accent.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I mean there's.
- 29:36Speaker 1: What are we doing here?
- 29:39Speaker 2: What are we doing here?
- 29:39Speaker 2: Just showing?
- 29:42Speaker 1: I think if it would have been like maybe 45 minutes shorter, it wouldn't have been as annoying.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Like all right.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Well, whatever, At least it's over.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yeah, God it just kept going on, and on.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Right, it seemed like they just looked at the Wikipedia page and yeah, did a very bad job of explaining things.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Like I told you, I didn't even know it was.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I even know that was his stepdaughter.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I thought it was just some random chick into Spoiler alert.

- 30:20Speaker 1: They were right.
- 30:20Speaker 1: This movie is trash.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah, don't feel bad for Ridley Scott or Joaquin Phoenix.
- 30:25Speaker 1: They got tons of money and success.
- 30:27Speaker 1: This one was a mess.
- 30:29Speaker 1: It was the Malik Henry of films.
- 30:34Speaker 1: We had to go.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Well, the rankings will come out Tuesday.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Don't be surprised, Don't get mad people Don't get mad.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I mean get mad, but I'll be mad.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it, and so that's what they're going to do.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all for their TV, for their, so they can push the championship matchups.
- 31:06Speaker 2: But Don't make any daggers sense man.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Nah, but I mean, dude, if you just know, as you just win, and then man you have a championship to play for.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah, for real.
- 31:14Speaker 2: You haven't sniffed an.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Acc title since when there's no motivation needed.
- 31:18Speaker 2: There's no motivation.
- 31:19Speaker 2: There shouldn't be any motivation needed.
- 31:21Speaker 2: You're playing for championship.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Playing for championship.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Just get it done, man.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean imagine Louisville winning the ACC this year.
- 31:30Speaker 2: No, you can go through all this, you can get through all this.
- 31:34Speaker 1: You didn't watch what happened against North Alabama, what happened to Jordan Trout?
- 31:39Speaker 1: You did like all of this just to lose to Louisville.
- 31:42Speaker 1: No, I don't think motivation is going to be a problem.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Or do I?
- 31:46Speaker 2: I think the offense will hopefully throw a little more down the field.
- 31:52Speaker 2: The tape will relax a little bit.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Maybe we can see.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I would like to find a way to get To up the tempo, to get Well, to get the tight end involved more in the middle of the field, right, I don't know, we'll see.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I'll tell you Jelati for Louisville scares me, but we'll get into that when you start looking at him a little bit more.
- 32:11Speaker 1: They're a really good team, though Brian Boehm's going to get jobbed.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Yep, anything surprise you in the NFL yesterday.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Hmm, brown's getting whooped.
- 32:25Speaker 1: That surprised me.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I just Saints losing.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Saints no, that didn't surprise me.
- 32:32Speaker 1: They didn't play James.
- 32:33Speaker 1: No, they didn't play James.
- 32:35Speaker 1: That's why they got another field goal.
- 32:36Speaker 1: You got eight for eight on the drive Guess what Car through picks anyway, yeah, oh, we're not going to play James because he's going to throw interceptions.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Well, your guy's already throwing interceptions.
- 32:46Speaker 1: You know what he's not doing?
- 32:47Speaker 1: Throwing touchdown passes.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Right, it's ridiculous Paying him a lot of money.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever man, it's too low, you booty.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just boring.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it is man.
- 33:01Speaker 1: It's boring, it's a boring division.
- 33:03Speaker 2: It really is.
- 33:05Speaker 1: It really is they're both still in first place.
