- 0:11Speaker 1: and funnier.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Make jure you always watch out for no deers.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Stay out of my face. It's a way we gonna laughed.
- 0:22Speaker 2: We did it.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're back. Welcome everybody. There's another episode of Stay Out
- 0:27Speaker 1: of My Fridge, which is slowly turning into guess who
- 0:31Speaker 1: is on the show today? And if you guessed Ila,
- 0:34Speaker 1: who says you know I'm always here, you're wrong? Back
- 0:38Speaker 1: to back weeks?
- 0:39Speaker 2: No isla.
- 0:40Speaker 1: If you're guessing Meg, you're wrong. She filled in last
- 0:45Speaker 1: week with the Busy Kids. If you're guessing that Sissy
- 0:48Speaker 1: made her debut on the Stay in My Fridge podcast,
- 0:53Speaker 1: you're wrong. It's a solo podcast, right, Nope, joining is
- 0:59Speaker 1: the one, the old Avery. What's up, dude? Nothing, nothing
- 1:03Speaker 1: that's good, nothing at all. You just got nothing going on.
- 1:06Speaker 1: That's hard to believe. We never just have nothing going on,
- 1:11Speaker 1: do we.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Well, I don't have anything right.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Now at the moment. Well, yeah, but it's been a
- 1:17Speaker 1: pretty chaotic week, hasn't it.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I think once school started, once soccer started, it
- 1:25Speaker 1: really ramped at some things up. Last weekend we drove
- 1:28Speaker 1: over five hours for two soccer games and no wins,
- 1:32Speaker 1: which is not always about winning, right, it was it
- 1:35Speaker 1: was fun, let's tell them. Friday night we were up
- 1:37Speaker 1: there watching Sissy play soccer Clayton, New York, Thousand Island
- 1:40Speaker 1: Central School. What'd you think of it?
- 1:43Speaker 2: It's okay?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Yeah? What made it okay?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Well I was comfortable on the bleachers because it was cold,
- 1:50Speaker 2: so I was wrapped up in a blanket.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Hm hm, So that's pretty okay.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was a good game because it was
- 1:57Speaker 2: like they were both like equal skilled mm hm. And
- 2:03Speaker 2: what wasn't okay is the student section was super annoying.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Oh define years set of annoying.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Super loud. Well, I guess they weren't like annoying because
- 2:14Speaker 2: not a lot of schools have that anymore. So it
- 2:18Speaker 2: was good that they were there supporting, but they were
- 2:20Speaker 2: just super loud.
- 2:21Speaker 1: They're very loud, so I'm assuming it was probably the
- 2:25Speaker 1: boys soccer team, most of them, because the boys played
- 2:28Speaker 1: before the girls, which I thought was weird. Anyways, usually
- 2:30Speaker 1: the girls play before the boys, which is pretty cool
- 2:33Speaker 1: that they did that. But yeah, it was a bunch
- 2:35Speaker 1: of them and I loved it. It was it was loud.
- 2:38Speaker 1: They were on some metal bleachers, they were standing, they
- 2:40Speaker 1: were chanting. I think their mascots are the Vikings or
- 2:43Speaker 1: something like that, right, so people were in Viking horns
- 2:47Speaker 1: and they were going. They were getting into it. It
- 2:49Speaker 1: was fun and it had to be a lot of
- 2:50Speaker 1: fun for the girls to play and kind of hear
- 2:53Speaker 1: that as well. And then you had two of the
- 2:55Speaker 1: other friends or soccer players that were the ball boys
- 2:59Speaker 1: terrible ball. But it was a lot of fun entertaining
- 3:02Speaker 1: because the crowd was making fun of them. Yeah, it was,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and it was a good atmosphere. They had a decent
- 3:08Speaker 1: concession stand. What do you think of the concession stands?
- 3:12Speaker 2: It was okay. They didn't have like a lot of stuff.
- 3:18Speaker 2: They didn't have good chips.
- 3:20Speaker 1: No, you still bought chips.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but they didn't have the good chips.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Define good chips. Just from what I understand. You're a
- 3:30Speaker 1: cool ranch dorito lover and you came back with a
- 3:32Speaker 1: bag of cool ranch doritos.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but they didn't have cheese like cheese.
- 3:39Speaker 1: It I mean, cheese its isn't a common thing at
- 3:41Speaker 1: most concession stands?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Is it? Cheese doodle things?
- 3:46Speaker 1: Cheese doodle things like cheese puffs, not cheesy not the puffs,
- 3:51Speaker 1: like the cheetos. Yeah, that's the word we're looking for.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You had the cheese, right, cheetos, cheese its. You got doodles,
- 4:00Speaker 1: cheese doodles, all right? Fair. They had nachos for four bucks,
- 4:04Speaker 1: hot dog for three or the two that I remember
- 4:07Speaker 1: begga chips for a buck.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Hot pocket for three dollars pocket.
- 4:13Speaker 1: That's how it is in the commercial. You can say
- 4:15Speaker 1: just hot pocket without going hot pocket.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, because I don't watch the commercial.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Well, yeah, it's been around since before you were born. Okay, Yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I like the hot pockets. They get a couple extra
- 4:28Speaker 1: concession standpoints for me. Let's let's rank the concession stand
- 4:31Speaker 1: then one through ten. You want to go first or
- 4:34Speaker 1: do you want me to? Yeah, I'm gonna say five
- 4:37Speaker 1: point two.
- 4:39Speaker 2: It was.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It was decent hot pocket creativity. I think at four
- 4:43Speaker 1: dollars for a nachos a little high. Three dollars for
- 4:45Speaker 1: a hot dog with stinky buns is though. The one
- 4:48Speaker 1: little kid that was helping little over priced dollar for
- 4:51Speaker 1: twenty five cent baga chips. I get it. It's concession standing.
- 4:54Speaker 1: The money goes to that, not a ton of options.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And it's not to take away from the people that
- 4:58Speaker 1: were running it. It's not to take away from it.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I just think five point two is a fair, fair
- 5:03Speaker 1: assessment for their food and price wise in my opinion.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Sure, I was going to say five point vibe, but
- 5:09Speaker 2: I'll go six point two.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Uh you got a one up me huh?
- 5:16Speaker 2: And nice because they're nachos. Usually get nachos, but their
- 5:21Speaker 2: nachos didn't look that good.
- 5:23Speaker 1: How did you see them?
- 5:23Speaker 2: Because some little girl had it walking back from the
- 5:29Speaker 2: concession standing, I saw them.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Got you fair enough, the just plane circle, cheap tortilla
- 5:35Speaker 1: chips with some pump cheese probably, yeah, yeah, I got
- 5:39Speaker 1: you all right. So that was Friday and they ended
- 5:43Speaker 1: up in a one one tie. Like you said, really
- 5:45Speaker 1: well played game. A lot of big hits, a lot
- 5:48Speaker 1: of injuries, a lot of but what it was really
- 5:52Speaker 1: cool that the kids got to play under the lights.
- 5:54Speaker 1: That's a really cool vibe. I know you haven't been
- 5:56Speaker 1: able to play soccer under the lights yet, but it
- 5:59Speaker 1: is very fun to do so watch it. You've watched
- 6:04Speaker 1: it quite a bit. And it was nice because it's
- 6:06Speaker 1: still fairly warm up here. It's not like remember the
- 6:09Speaker 1: end of the remember the championship game last year when
- 6:11Speaker 1: we were freezing.
- 6:11Speaker 2: On a little bit so ye and it was pouring rain.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that was Friday. And then we drove to Northeast
- 6:21Speaker 1: Clinton home had thet Cougars to take a very well skilled,
- 6:27Speaker 1: very well coached team. And yeah, that was about two
- 6:30Speaker 1: hours and twenty minutes except for the bus because apparently
- 6:33Speaker 1: the bus got a little lost. Tell us about the
- 6:36Speaker 1: bus trip without you know, dropping names and too many details.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'm sure there was some stuff that was fun on
- 6:40Speaker 1: the bus, but tell us tell us your experience on
- 6:43Speaker 1: a very long road trip for a soccer game on
- 6:46Speaker 1: the bus. Son went by pretty quick, right, Yeah, I.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Did, because like the first half was kind of longer
- 6:54Speaker 2: because they're just sitting there eating and doing nothing really,
- 7:03Speaker 2: And then we stopped to go to the bathroom at
- 7:05Speaker 2: Walmart and alone, and so we stopped there and then
- 7:13Speaker 2: ride home. We i mean not the Rhindome.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Whoa you just you know what. We were like, Hey,
- 7:18Speaker 1: we're gonna go all the way to Malone and we're
- 7:20Speaker 1: just gonna turn around.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I meant second half of the trip, the second half
- 7:26Speaker 2: to go there, and we played a game on our
- 7:31Speaker 2: phones like a couple of the girls.
- 7:35Speaker 1: It was really hard for you not to say their names.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I saw the looking. I saw how you looked at me.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but we played the game on our phones for
- 7:43Speaker 2: the rest of the ride until well we got lost.
- 7:47Speaker 1: You did too, The bus got turned around or something
- 7:50Speaker 1: like that.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because the two coaches modified in varsity coaches
- 7:56Speaker 2: had the directions up, but it was bringing us to
- 7:58Speaker 2: the wrong place. So we turned around and we pulled
- 8:05Speaker 2: over to try to like redrect everything.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It must be hard with a bus full of women,
- 8:10Speaker 1: because women think they know everything. Huh.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Our bus driver wasn't a woman.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I know, And he was right the whole time. I
- 8:17Speaker 1: bet he was.
- 8:19Speaker 2: That's why he kept going. And then the coaches told
- 8:22Speaker 2: him to turn around. It's the other way, and it
- 8:24Speaker 2: actually wasn't.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Then, how how did you describe where you pulled over?
- 8:30Speaker 2: An old Amish buggy place?
- 8:32Speaker 1: So it was actually an antique store. They did have
- 8:34Speaker 1: an aggressive amount of Amish buggies out there. I'm assuming
- 8:37Speaker 1: for sale that had been fixed. Her I don't know
- 8:39Speaker 1: what anybody wants to buy an old Amish buggy for
- 8:41Speaker 1: other than Amish. Maybe a yard decoration. But in the
- 8:44Speaker 1: varsity coach a little bit old school went in and
- 8:46Speaker 1: asked for directions. Is that correct? Yes? How'd that go?
- 8:50Speaker 2: She get directed the directions.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I love it. So then you guys finally made it.
- 8:54Speaker 1: How'd warm ups go to the field? Good to get
- 8:56Speaker 1: off the bus, get stretched, get running? Yes, yeah it stunk.
- 8:59Speaker 2: You guys accept the mountain air from up there made
- 9:03Speaker 2: us all like out of breath because we weren't used
- 9:06Speaker 2: to that kind of air.
- 9:07Speaker 1: It's not like you're going to Denver and the elevation
- 9:11Speaker 1: is thousands of feet more. It wasn't that bad. I
- 9:15Speaker 1: think it was the fact that you guys eat a
- 9:17Speaker 1: lot of food on the bus.
- 9:19Speaker 2: No, we didn't even eat that much.
- 9:22Speaker 1: No, just subs and apples and gatorades and popcorn and pretzels.
- 9:28Speaker 2: And we did jim We didn't eat pretzels.
- 9:32Speaker 1: About a Chimmy chonga.
- 9:33Speaker 2: We didn't eat Jimmy chongos. Whatever about us?
- 9:35Speaker 1: You don't know what a Jimmy chongo is.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Isn't that like a burrito thingy? Yeah?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Well done, But so then he got off there. It
- 9:44Speaker 1: felt good to stretch the legs. Everything get going right. Yes,
- 9:48Speaker 1: ran into a pretty good team and you guys were
- 9:49Speaker 1: short a couple of players.
- 9:51Speaker 2: In that field was way bigger than our field. It
- 9:54Speaker 2: was oh yeah, no even our coat. She said that
- 10:00Speaker 2: it was bigger field.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Sure, so either way. Then we went out to dinner
- 10:08Speaker 1: on the way home to back to Malone with a
- 10:11Speaker 1: couple of friends and uh one of Avery's friends and
- 10:15Speaker 1: teammates and their families, and that was a pretty good dinner.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Is yeah? You little poutine for anybody that doesn't know
- 10:21Speaker 1: Avery ranks poutines everywhere she goes and what she likes.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And this one didn't even probably crack the top three,
- 10:29Speaker 1: did it?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Nope? Nope?
- 10:31Speaker 1: Would you rank it? Do you remember?
- 10:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I ranked a seven point three seven.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Point three out of ten. That's a pretty good score.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I mean, that's a pretty good poutine, but not perfect.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Would you like about it?
- 10:43Speaker 2: I liked the gravy. I didn't like the cheese because
- 10:46Speaker 2: it was like shake your cheese.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Like parmesan cheese. Yeah, had cheese curd though, right, Nope,
- 10:53Speaker 1: was a mazzarella cheese. No, it wasn't straight just shaky cheese.
- 10:58Speaker 1: There was a string becomes some kind of melted cheese,
- 11:00Speaker 1: isn't it?
- 11:00Speaker 2: No, there wasn't.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It's all just like that little bold stuff cheese card okay,
- 11:10Speaker 2: a little tiny like parmesan balls.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 11:15Speaker 2: But the gravy was really good. The fries were really good.
- 11:20Speaker 1: So if it would have had some decent cheese a
- 11:23Speaker 1: ranked tire. Yeah, I'm surprised that. I'm fairly certain that
- 11:26Speaker 1: they that they advertise that they have cheese curd on
- 11:31Speaker 1: their poutine. I'm gonna look this up.
- 11:33Speaker 2: There was no cheese curd on my poutine.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Let's look this up here on the Google. We're gonna
- 11:39Speaker 1: have some images. Guarantee you there's going to be a poutine. Now,
- 11:44Speaker 1: let's hit the menu. Where's the menu? So the place
- 11:47Speaker 1: that were should we say the place? Do you remember
- 11:50Speaker 1: the name?
- 11:53Speaker 2: Can I say it? Most pub and groul?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Okay? So yes, it is cheese Card. It's fries topped
- 11:59Speaker 1: with locally produced Mayor's cheese curds and smothered in beef gravy.
- 12:04Speaker 1: So all of them.
- 12:05Speaker 2: The cheese skirt is not cheese skirt, though.
- 12:08Speaker 1: It's locally produced cheese. It might be different than the
- 12:11Speaker 1: cheese curd you're used to if it's locally, so it
- 12:13Speaker 1: might have been chunks of cheese, but it's their version. Granted,
- 12:16Speaker 1: this is the many that I'm looking at. This is
- 12:17Speaker 1: four years ago, so maybe it has changed. I just
- 12:22Speaker 1: throwing it out there.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Too bad. You didn't take a picture of my food
- 12:25Speaker 2: this time, and I could prove you wrong.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I mean, I'm believing you. You are the poutine review queens.
- 12:33Speaker 1: So okay, all right, and I had the pizza. It
- 12:38Speaker 1: was pretty good, interesting, all right, well, good food, good
- 12:44Speaker 1: enough that I actually ate there twice that day with
- 12:49Speaker 1: mag We ate there for lunch and ended up back
- 12:51Speaker 1: there at dinner because we ended up at some other
- 12:53Speaker 1: restaurant that Avery picked and my friend and we ended
- 12:58Speaker 1: up in the middle a restaurant that the food looked fantastic.
- 13:02Speaker 1: They had a little bit of white music. It was busy.
- 13:05Speaker 1: There wasn't a single seat at the place, so there
- 13:08Speaker 1: was well there was one or two two.
- 13:10Speaker 2: There was six seats, and there was, but there were
- 13:13Speaker 2: seven of us.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, so it didn't quite work out.
- 13:17Speaker 2: And well, my friend's little brother could have shout on
- 13:19Speaker 2: the floor.
- 13:20Speaker 1: You could bring somebody with us and make them sit
- 13:22Speaker 1: on the floor.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I'm just kidding, you.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Know you weren't. So we ended up driving down Lover's
- 13:30Speaker 1: Lane past Shear's Lane, ended up at this and I
- 13:33Speaker 1: was really I was kind of excited because I thought
- 13:36Speaker 1: the food looked pretty good there. I don't know that
- 13:39Speaker 1: you're my mashed potatoes are sucker boys. So yeah, so
- 13:42Speaker 1: we get there, I get back all in all good week,
- 13:44Speaker 1: then little basketball Sunday, and then we roll into the
- 13:47Speaker 1: week and Tuesday was a little chaotic at school. It
- 13:50Speaker 1: was supposed to be picture day. You got all dialed up,
- 13:52Speaker 1: got the hair curled, looking ready for pictures and what
- 13:57Speaker 1: happened at your school?
- 13:59Speaker 2: But we have capital project be going on outside, like
- 14:03Speaker 2: because we're getting a new high school gym, and it
- 14:08Speaker 2: was raining, so they just kept setting the fire alarm
- 14:11Speaker 2: off and off and off, and all we all a
- 14:16Speaker 2: lot of people were counting and it went off forty
- 14:19Speaker 2: times today, believable.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Oh they ended up having to let them out early dismissal.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So all the parents going full on scramble mode. And
- 14:32Speaker 1: thanks to old Nima, I was able to come in.
- 14:34Speaker 2: And grab avery.
- 14:35Speaker 1: But yeah, just a chaotic day. And then of course
- 14:38Speaker 1: now didn't get the pictures taken, just pure chaos. And
- 14:42Speaker 1: then you got to think that staff too, just pure
- 14:46Speaker 1: chaos in their world, having to enter different protocols, the
- 14:50Speaker 1: cafeteria people having to hurry up and shell out lunch
- 14:53Speaker 1: super super quick to get everybody at least a meal
- 14:55Speaker 1: that needs one. It's a pretty forgettable day, a day
- 14:58Speaker 1: that everybody is going to be fairly thankful to be
- 15:01Speaker 1: done with and get some sleep because it was probably
- 15:03Speaker 1: a long day for a lot of people, not only
- 15:05Speaker 1: the construction workers, the kids that teachers, everybody.
- 15:09Speaker 2: The electricians that had to come and try to fix
- 15:11Speaker 2: our firel arms.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so hopefully they have it all squared away for
- 15:16Speaker 1: the next day and you guys can go about your business,
- 15:19Speaker 1: get back to soccer practice, and we're on the road
- 15:21Speaker 1: for a couple of Sissies games. Avery's got a bye week.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Isn't that weird? There's just no soccer games this week.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really weird. And Sissy has like five game three.
- 15:33Speaker 1: So pretty close. Yeah three is closest to five. But
- 15:36Speaker 1: it's gonna be a fun week of practice for you.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Spirits are good for Sissy, and yeah, hopefully you guys
- 15:42Speaker 1: continually have fun because before you know it, soccer will
- 15:46Speaker 1: be done. We'll be in the gym playing some basketball.
- 15:49Speaker 1: But we and thank you to you Avery. You were
- 15:53Speaker 1: able to come to a couple of practices help coach
- 15:55Speaker 1: the four through six youth program that we're continually trying
- 15:59Speaker 1: to help about with. And I think it's cool to,
- 16:03Speaker 1: you know, have have someone like you that has been
- 16:05Speaker 1: in the program for many years be able to get
- 16:07Speaker 1: back and help out. And I think they really look
- 16:10Speaker 1: up to So how how am I doing as a coach?
- 16:14Speaker 2: Good?
- 16:14Speaker 1: Just good?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:16Speaker 1: What could I do better? More push ups?
- 16:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:20Speaker 1: What that's the key to a good basketball team? More
- 16:24Speaker 1: push ups?
- 16:27Speaker 2: What I was gonna say, being least mean, but you're
- 16:31Speaker 2: not mean.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Yeah, We're there to enjoy and just kind kind of
- 16:35Speaker 1: continually push some wisdom. Yes, there'll be some serious moments,
- 16:38Speaker 1: but at the end of the day, we're just here
- 16:39Speaker 1: to make them fall in love with the game. And
- 16:41Speaker 1: do you think there's a lot of people that are
- 16:42Speaker 1: first year We've got a lot of first year players.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Do you think they're they're slowly falling in love with
- 16:46Speaker 1: a game of basketball?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:49Speaker 1: That wasn't very confident. Yeah, well that was weird. Is
- 16:52Speaker 1: that my voice? Yeah, was it. That's not what I
- 16:57Speaker 1: sound like, is it?
- 16:57Speaker 2: No? You sound like?
- 16:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I read You're just peanut, butter and jelly that
- 17:02Speaker 1: I got a new purple whistle. Well, so how did
- 17:04Speaker 1: it sound in there?
- 17:06Speaker 2: Really loud?
- 17:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty good. Good, got the point across. And
- 17:10Speaker 1: speaking of coaching, if anybody does want to check out
- 17:12Speaker 1: what came out this week, Avery was a little little
- 17:15Speaker 1: something you were you were maybe looking at today?
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, what was it? Your book?
- 17:19Speaker 1: We got a new book, caller. What's the name of
- 17:21Speaker 1: the book.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Not every kid goes Proud?
- 17:24Speaker 1: Not every kid goes pro Bye. Matt Clear available on Amazon.
- 17:28Speaker 1: If you got Amazon Kindle unlimited, you can read.
- 17:31Speaker 2: It for free. I read it for free. Just read
- 17:34Speaker 2: the sample and it gives you the whole book.
- 17:36Speaker 1: No, it doesn't gave me. That's a problem either way.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Go read the sample, Go check it out. If you
- 17:44Speaker 1: do want to buy the paperback, that would be cool too.
- 17:46Speaker 1: For some reason, though, Amazon can just override the prices.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I put it in there for nine to ninety nine
- 17:50Speaker 1: and I looked today and it was forty nine fifty.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Apparently it's that good, But I would not pay forty
- 17:57Speaker 1: nine fifty for it. If you do, thank you so much.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I will personally send you an autograph or something in
- 18:02Speaker 1: one of the books, because that is crazy. So we're
- 18:04Speaker 1: getting that straightened around. But yeah, super excited to kind
- 18:08Speaker 1: of take because I've coached for twenty one years. Isn't
- 18:12Speaker 1: that wild?
- 18:12Speaker 2: Avery?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yeah, So I just kind of put my take, my opinions,
- 18:17Speaker 1: and put together not x's and o's, not a playbook,
- 18:21Speaker 1: not a how to win, how to do this, just
- 18:24Speaker 1: some good information. You're gonna read the rest of it. Yeah, perfect,
- 18:28Speaker 1: And on eleven eleven, everybody stay tuned. There's something cool coming.
- 18:34Speaker 1: That's what we're gona leave. We're gona leave on a ciffhanger, right, Yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 1: you're pretty excited.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:41Speaker 1: So also pretty pretty excited to be able to put
- 18:45Speaker 1: that book out no one else. Was pretty exciting, I
- 18:47Speaker 1: think for somebody in this house. Your football team finally
- 18:50Speaker 1: got a win.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:52Speaker 1: The Chiefs is unfortunately her team, and they got themselves
- 18:56Speaker 1: their first.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 1: And what's it like being a Chiefs fan? They play
- 19:01Speaker 1: a lot of primetime games, late night games. Is it
- 19:04Speaker 1: pretty annoying.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Because they don't get to watch the whole thing? Well
- 19:07Speaker 2: I get to, but I have trouble staying awake that long.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yeah, they're they're late, especially on a Sunday night or
- 19:15Speaker 1: Monday night or I think the Chiefs play on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Throughout the year, they just play all the time. See,
- 19:23Speaker 1: being a Steelers fan, they just pretty much play at
- 19:26Speaker 1: one o'clock because they are supposed to stink.
- 19:28Speaker 2: They haven't been that bad.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Oh, I mean they're decent. They're two to one at
- 19:32Speaker 1: the time of the recording. They shouldn't won last week,
- 19:35Speaker 1: but somehow they gotta win. So that means coach Tomlin
- 19:37Speaker 1: is gonna be mad. They are gonna work this weekend
- 19:40Speaker 1: and they're gonna they got They have Minnesota at home,
- 19:44Speaker 1: Minnesota comes to Pittsburgh. But that'll be that should be
- 19:47Speaker 1: a pretty easy the Bengals by like, yeah, but the
- 19:51Speaker 1: Bengals didn't have Burrow.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's his poor turf toe, poor turf toe.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Yeah, which is crazy because the Bengals are two and one,
- 19:59Speaker 1: the Steelers are two and one, the Ravens and the
- 20:02Speaker 1: Browns are one and two, and the Chiefs. Yeah, that's
- 20:07Speaker 1: gonna be a huge matchup. Chiefs and Ravens this week.
- 20:10Speaker 2: You think it's going to be a good game Mag's team?
- 20:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Is that a primetime game as well? Oh so you
- 20:19Speaker 1: get to watch it? Hopefully you're here for his own
- 20:21Speaker 1: football this weekend. That would be fun. Although since I'll
- 20:25Speaker 1: probably have.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Practice Cheers practice on Sundays.
- 20:29Speaker 1: They've been doing Sunday practices, so we'll get that figured away.
- 20:34Speaker 1: What is it? What do we got here? I'm looking
- 20:39Speaker 1: at the schedule up four to twenty five, along with
- 20:42Speaker 1: the Chicago Bears and the Raiders, Colts, Rams, Jaguars, Niners.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Colts ramp Is gonna be a good game? Yeah?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Well, I'm not like pump for compared to that Chiefs
- 20:53Speaker 1: Ravens game and Raven's coming off that lost to the Lions.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Oh girl, if you were to say that the Chiefs
- 21:00Speaker 1: and the Ravens were going to play Week four and
- 21:01Speaker 1: they were both one and two at the beginning of
- 21:03Speaker 1: the season, I would think you were crazy. They're football teams. Yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 1: they are good. And speaking of good football teams, maybe
- 21:16Speaker 1: you're just doing a little fantasy football this year and
- 21:18Speaker 1: she might have played somebody this week. How did it
- 21:20Speaker 1: go in that one? League when you, Oh, I think
- 21:23Speaker 1: it was me that you beat. They were lost too, Sorry,
- 21:26Speaker 1: was that right?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah? I only lost by ten, I mean not dan.
- 21:30Speaker 2: You were thirty six and I was twenty nine, twenty
- 21:34Speaker 2: nine and you were one thirty six.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I was gonna say I was a little bit higher.
- 21:37Speaker 1: So you're in advanced math? What's that more closer to ten?
- 21:40Speaker 1: It was pretty close to ten. Not gonna lie toe you, huh. So,
- 21:44Speaker 1: yeah I beat you, No big deal. But what do
- 21:47Speaker 1: you love about Sunday Funday? Obviously you got basketball in
- 21:50Speaker 1: the morning, so you don't get to sleep in, but
- 21:51Speaker 1: you get to go and ball out. Keep the rest off. Describe,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I guess to anybody that doesn't know what kind of
- 21:57Speaker 1: our household is like during NFL Sunday.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Funday, Well, we have a TV in our kitchen on
- 22:05Speaker 2: the wall, and that is like the game. Usually it's
- 22:10Speaker 2: the Steelers because usually they play on one o'clock games,
- 22:13Speaker 2: so usually that's the game that's on a one twenty
- 22:17Speaker 2: five is either it's the best matched up game. Usually
- 22:21Speaker 2: eight o'clock is usually the eight o'clock game. Yep. And
- 22:26Speaker 2: we have like a tablet that we put red Zone
- 22:29Speaker 2: on and watch all the scoring possessions of the games.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Yeah, you like the red zone? Red zone channel rules,
- 22:35Speaker 1: doesn't it?
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:37Speaker 1: And what else does it? You know what I mean?
- 22:39Speaker 1: Snacks just bad fantasy picks. We all make our fun
- 22:43Speaker 1: little predictions just for fun. I mean, it's just it's
- 22:46Speaker 1: probably my favorite day that we just sent around watching football.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Meg's getting into it a little more that she has
- 22:50Speaker 1: a team. The other two girls they could care less.
- 22:52Speaker 1: They just don't care about football.
- 22:54Speaker 2: So I also tries she does.
- 22:56Speaker 1: She likes the Bills and Josh Allen, and you know,
- 22:58Speaker 1: she probably thinks he's cute, like you. I think Josh
- 23:02Speaker 1: Allen is cute.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Jackson Dart skeoter really okay, Jackson Diart skater than Patrick Mahomes.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Whoa, it's the first time I've ever heard you say
- 23:13Speaker 1: anybody's cuter than Patrick Mahomes.
- 23:15Speaker 2: It goes Jackson Dart, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers
- 23:19Speaker 2: are on the bottom of the list. Isn't the bottom
- 23:21Speaker 2: of the list, Actually he's before.
- 23:24Speaker 1: You think Aaron Rodgers isn't as cute as Daniel Jones.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Jones is pretty cute.
- 23:29Speaker 1: You think he's cute.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Interesting, No, who's on the bottom of the list is
- 23:34Speaker 2: that Brown's.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Quarter Joe Flacco. Why because he's got a beard and
- 23:39Speaker 1: he's old.
- 23:41Speaker 2: He's only looks rusty.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Looks rusty.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure.
- 23:47Speaker 1: What does that even mean? You look rusty because he
- 23:49Speaker 1: has silver hair. He's silver hair, dude. Do you want
- 23:53Speaker 1: to know what's crazy?
- 23:54Speaker 2: What?
- 23:54Speaker 1: He is one month older than me? He was born
- 24:01Speaker 1: the same year, January sixteenth. He's one year or one
- 24:06Speaker 1: month older than me. What is so funny? You think
- 24:09Speaker 1: he's old?
- 24:10Speaker 2: He looks so much older than you.
- 24:14Speaker 1: That's cool. I look you young, and his beard isn't
- 24:19Speaker 1: nearly mine.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Well, he can't have that beard playing football. It's gonna
- 24:25Speaker 2: get tugged on so hard and he's just gonna move quarterback.
- 24:28Speaker 1: He just gotta sometimes look up. I'll show you pictures
- 24:31Speaker 1: of Brett Keesel. He grew a nice beard during football season,
- 24:35Speaker 1: shaved it off after every football season for charity, and
- 24:37Speaker 1: he was a defensive lineman in the trenches.
- 24:41Speaker 2: How I feel like you'd just be like playing and
- 24:45Speaker 2: then someone would like grab your beard and tug it
- 24:47Speaker 2: out of the floor.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I don't think that happens, but maybe Brett Keezel beard.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Let me show you this pretty sweet beard.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Right. He played for the Steelers, of course, and he.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Has a sweet beard. I wouldn't know I should that's
- 25:03Speaker 1: not long.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Like yours, Like that's gonna stay in his helmet.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I mean, not all of it. I mean, and I
- 25:10Speaker 1: don't know why I never got a Brett Keesel jersey.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I think I need to get a Brett Keesel jersey.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Zero was cut off. Yeah, I'm gonna get Brett Keezel jersey.
- 25:20Speaker 1: That's a pretty sweet beard, right, good mustache. He would
- 25:24Speaker 1: grow it at the start of football season, then shave
- 25:25Speaker 1: it after for charity.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Good guy, all right, you shouldn't shave yards I ever got.
- 25:32Speaker 1: No, I'm not going to work good anything else about football, No. One.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Last thing I did want to talk about is the
- 25:41Speaker 1: new bowling Ellie and the burg. You got to be
- 25:45Speaker 1: one of the first people to throw a ball down
- 25:46Speaker 1: the lane. Pretty sweet?
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:49Speaker 1: Would you love about it?
- 25:51Speaker 2: The TV?
- 25:52Speaker 1: The TV?
- 25:53Speaker 2: What do you mean the scorekeeping TV? You don't have
- 25:56Speaker 2: to do it manually anymore?
- 25:58Speaker 1: Could you keep score? If you had two bowling? You could?
- 26:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 26:03Speaker 1: How much is a strike?
- 26:05Speaker 2: Ten?
- 26:05Speaker 1: Yeah? And then after the frame is just ten?
- 26:08Speaker 2: Or?
- 26:08Speaker 1: Is there a special math?
- 26:10Speaker 2: Special math?
- 26:10Speaker 1: Do you know the special math? Yeah, or you just
- 26:14Speaker 1: don't never get strikes so you don't have to worry
- 26:16Speaker 1: about it.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I actually do get a strikes a lot.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Okay, So how's the special math?
- 26:20Speaker 2: Special math is you put an X in your box
- 26:25Speaker 2: when you get a strike, and then the next turn
- 26:29Speaker 2: you add a certain amount of points to your score
- 26:33Speaker 2: for the.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Frame before for the frame after. So say frame one
- 26:39Speaker 1: you get a strike, frame two you get seven pins.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Frame one you're seventeen. Frame two is plus seven, so
- 26:47Speaker 1: you would be twenty four.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, if you got strikes and it was just yeah, okay,
- 26:55Speaker 1: I'm proud of you. I didn't think you would know
- 26:57Speaker 1: that you've been raised, right? Do you like that? I
- 27:01Speaker 1: tell you we We stopped in there just watching There
- 27:04Speaker 1: was some sports on the TV the other day, and
- 27:05Speaker 1: there was a whole bunch of TVs out there with
- 27:08Speaker 1: red zone and everything. It's a pretty cool place to
- 27:10Speaker 1: sit and watch football. I'm not gonna lie to you.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Throw a couple balls. Maybe we'll try to go out
- 27:13Speaker 1: there some Sunday. The true, very true. So who do
- 27:21Speaker 1: you think would win a bowling in the family?
- 27:23Speaker 2: No?
- 27:24Speaker 1: Me?
- 27:25Speaker 2: After watching you bowl the other day?
- 27:28Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I went bowling not too long ago and
- 27:31Speaker 1: put up like a one fifty. That's not great, but
- 27:35Speaker 1: I don't think you're getting there. All right, Well that's
- 27:38Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. We're gonna have a bowling showdown.
- 27:42Speaker 1: You down, all right? Well, anything else you want to
- 27:46Speaker 1: talk about? Or should we call it? Should we wrap
- 27:48Speaker 1: this up?
- 27:49Speaker 2: Wrap pretty shit? All right?
- 27:51Speaker 1: Well, let's uh, let's have a good rest of the week.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I appreciate you for taking some time and having a
- 27:56Speaker 1: little chitty chat. We would have been around to here
- 27:58Speaker 1: a little earlier, but it turns out when you press record,
- 28:01Speaker 1: we kind of make sure our mics are either way.
- 28:04Speaker 1: You got any words of wisdom for for anybody out there?
- 28:07Speaker 1: Nothing that's very good. Did you know it's deer not deers?
- 28:12Speaker 2: No?
- 28:12Speaker 1: You didn't? You do? All right, we're gonna we're gonna
- 28:15Speaker 1: head out. Let's make sure you guys all watch out
- 28:17Speaker 1: for deers.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Well you're I was just gonna say that.
- 28:20Speaker 1: You try then say it better though, and more witty
- 28:23Speaker 1: and funnier.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Make sure you always watch out for deers.
- 28:26Speaker 1: And on the head note, we'll be back next week.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Who will be back, I don't know, but somebody we'll
