- 0:22upload OK guys let's get started.
- 0:24I wanted to see this video because like a lot of people I
- 0:26know, I do a lot of videos for adults and the autism special.
- 0:28But it's still possible that people people are still
- 0:30searching for my content to find out information on kids.
- 0:34So I've written down some ways you can identify autism in
- 0:36children for Aspergers for people who have the old
- 0:39nomenclature, which is now just autism special disorder.
- 0:41And it's good to know that. So the first thing I'll talk
- 0:43about is difficulty with social communication.
- 0:45Now this could be difficulty in initiating and maintaining
- 0:48conversation, understanding the flow of conversation,
- 0:51understanding nonverbal cues, hand gestures, facial
- 0:54expressions, you know, distance to stand next to somebody,
- 0:57maintaining eye contact, even making eye contact.
- 1:00These are all traits that will display themselves in children
- 1:04who have aspergic syndrome. The next one is restricted and
- 1:06repetitive behaviours or interests such as, you know,
- 1:09sticking to strict routines, fixating or one type of food to
- 1:12eat all the time, one type of TV show to watch all the time, one
- 1:15type of clothing to wear all the time.
- 1:17These are all very telltale signs as a person has aspergic
- 1:20syndrome. And the last one I'll talk about
- 1:22here is sensitivities, which is an under or over sensitivity to
- 1:26things like sound, touch, smell, textures.
- 1:29It could even be temperature. It could be being in the room
- 1:31with certain people who have certain aftershaves.
- 1:33This is very difficult for people on the autism spectrum,
- 1:35especially those diagnose Asburger syndrome.
- 1:37Now, not all of these are going to be present, but some of them
- 1:40are. Mainly all of them will be
- 1:42present than people with Asburger syndrome.
- 1:43Now. It's not a diagnosis.
- 1:45I'm not diagnosing anybody. I'm just getting the information
- 1:47so people can have this information to go forward.
- 1:49Now I have an Autism LIFX PDF book that you can download
- 1:52completely for free right now. It's autismhacks.net or the link
- 1:57in the description down below. I'd love to know your thoughts
- 1:59on all the things I've talked about.
- 2:00Pop it in a comment down below, give us your thumbs up and share
- 2:03it if you think it's helpful for somebody.
- 2:04I'll see you in the next one guys.
