- 0:27Hey everybody. Good morning from the studio.
- 0:31Because guess what, it's raining again.
- 0:33We are in this lovely weather pattern and the rain is just
- 0:37happening again. So we are inside because it's
- 0:40still dark and raining. So today we're talking about
- 0:46asking for opportunities. People think that opportunities
- 0:50just come popping up. And while that may be true a
- 0:55percentage of the time, what happens is that we make our
- 0:58opportunities, we have things that show up and that is
- 1:02directly correlated with how we present ourselves in the world
- 1:07of opportunities. Meaning we think about asking
- 1:10for them, we are creative and looking for them.
- 1:14We start to connect dots and we say, Oh well, what if this could
- 1:17happen? Now this is a very complex
- 1:21thought process when you are by yourself in your head, because
- 1:24guess what? Driver shows up how how just
- 1:28jumps up and starts running over to the driver and says, oh, no,
- 1:31no, you, we can't do that right now.
- 1:32So let's say, let's say creativity is driving your bus.
- 1:35And for those of you who may be new, I'm reflecting on the
- 1:38content that I wrote in the book Who's Driving Your Bus?
- 1:42Which basically in a nutshell, says that all of your emotions
- 1:47are available to you at any point in time, like a bus in
- 1:51your head, and whoever is driving the bus predicates your
- 1:54entire experience. So if my certainty girl is
- 1:57driving the bus, then that means every choice she makes is going
- 2:00to be through that portion of her process.
- 2:04She's going to be thinking of it that way.
- 2:07So can it be wonderful? Yes, it can be wonderful, but
- 2:10most of the time she's a pain in the butt.
- 2:11So I try to keep her at Bay when I'm in the process of doing
- 2:16something creative because she's very good friends with how and
- 2:20when how comes up to the front. The two of them are just easily
- 2:24taking me out. They're easily saying, well, I
- 2:27don't think that that's going to be a good idea.
- 2:28That's going to be a lot of time.
- 2:29That's going to be this. They're going to give me their
- 2:30opinions, which are valuable at other points in time, but not in
- 2:34the opportunity creative process.
- 2:37So think of it that way. Anybody who hasn't heard that
- 2:41before, obviously you can get the book on Amazon if you want
- 2:44to read it and and dive into it deeper, but that's it in a
- 2:48nutshell. So now back to this.
- 2:50So let's just say that you've got opportunity thinking about
- 2:54this, you've got creativity driving the bus.
- 2:56You're big in that opportunity phase.
- 2:58And all of a sudden something shows up.
- 3:00Fear, anxiety shows up, something shows up, some very
- 3:04specific thing shows up for you and it takes you out because
- 3:08it's trying to protect you from the risk.
- 3:10It's trying to mitigate that risk and pull you back and say
- 3:14if I do that, there's going to be a problem.
- 3:17So it pulls you way back and all of a sudden you let go of the
- 3:22opportunity before you release it into the world.
- 3:25Now when I say release it into the world, it means you have an
- 3:29idea and you throw it out there emotionally, you're putting it
- 3:33out there. It's like fishing in a pond.
- 3:36When people go fishing, they put the bait on, whether it's a worm
- 3:42or it's a family or whatever it is, they put the worm on the
- 3:44hook, they sit down and they throw it in the water.
- 3:47So they are really having an intent that they are going to
- 3:50catch something. They have every every outcome in
- 3:54their head says if I do this, I could possibly catch a fish.
- 3:58This is how it works. When you go look for
- 4:00opportunities, you have to bait your emotional hook and put it
- 4:05out there and say, OK, I'm throwing it out there.
- 4:08And you do that by having the idea to begin with and
- 4:12cultivating how much you believe in the idea.
- 4:15That's like the worm on the hook, my friends.
- 4:18But you have to really believe it.
- 4:20You have to be in this place of being like, so imaginative.
- 4:24You're seeing it as if it's already happened and you're
- 4:27putting it out there that way. You're like, OK, I'm excited
- 4:30about this. And even if you can't see if
- 4:31it's already happened, you're excited.
- 4:34Your energy, your emotion that's driving you is excitement.
- 4:38So as I am progressing through putting my stuff together for
- 4:42the new year and saying, well, what opportunities do I want to
- 4:46create? I don't say what opportunities
- 4:48do I want to stumble into. I'm saying what opportunities do
- 4:52I want to create? What are the things that I know
- 4:55could be very valuable to me and my happiness and my business and
- 5:00my family. That's the part that you have to
- 5:03cultivate and you have to let yourself have the idea because
- 5:07that's the worm on the hook. If you can't do this, there's no
- 5:11way that whoever you would need on the other side of this out in
- 5:16the universe could come to you because you don't even believe
- 5:19in it. So how could they?
- 5:20We must believe our own ideas and opportunities beforehand and
- 5:26get into that energy. Because once you're in that
- 5:28energy, that is like the fish swimming right by the hook.
- 5:32Once you're in that energy, it's like, oh, there's that hook,
- 5:34that shiny hook. You are being bright, you're
- 5:37being, but they're just, everything's being drawn to you
- 5:40because you're so excited. So remember that as you go
- 5:43through this process of being in the month of setting the stage
- 5:48for all the opportunities, because January sets the stage
- 5:50for all the opportunities. Remember that you're, you're
- 5:53supposed to be cultivating that. So go figure out, am I actually
- 5:59welcoming opportunities? Am I allowing myself to even
- 6:03have them? All right, my friends, I hope
- 6:05you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 6:08And hopefully it will not be raining tomorrow.
- 6:11Bye.
