SPEAKER_00: Like how the fuck how the fuck did they override my team?
• 0:11
SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Unity Code, where we explore what becomes possible when we stop keeping spirituality on the sidelines and start using our connection to spirit to actually change lives.
• 0:21
SPEAKER_00: I'm Nicole Pope, a medium teacher and former transformation corporate executive.
• 0:27
SPEAKER_00: I've spent more than 20 years obsessed with data, patterns, systems, and one question.
• 0:32
  SPEAKER_00: What actually creates change?
• 0:34
SPEAKER_00: These days I'm asking that same question about energy, consciousness, the soul, and our connection to spirit.
• 0:41
SPEAKER_00: And no, we're not keeping this theoretical.
• 0:44
SPEAKER_00: On the podcast, we're going to teach it, test it, demonstrate it, play with it, and bring real people into the conversation.
• 0:50
SPEAKER_00: We'll explore mediumship, energetic, intuition, ancestral patterns, human potential, and something I'm not even sure we have language for yet.
• 0:59
SPEAKER_00: Because the goal is bigger than becoming more spiritual.
• 1:03
SPEAKER_00: It's about discovering what you're capable of, using it to transform yourself, expand your life, and step into possibilities you couldn't access before.
• 1:15
SPEAKER_00: This is the Unity Code, where spirit meets experimentation, transformation, and a community curious enough to find out what else is possible.
• 1:28
  SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad you're here.
• 1:33
  SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to the Unity Code podcast.
• 1:37
SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Nicole, and I want to talk about what happened at a recent mediumship demonstration because it happened last Thursday, and I am literally still reeling from this in a way that I have never reeled from a demonstration before.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_00: And it allowed me to have an entirely new perspective on my role as a person leading group mediumship events.
• 2:11
  SPEAKER_00: Ding and Ernesto's here.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_00: And I need to talk about this because I don't know one other medium ever that has ever talked about this.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_00: And so before I go too much further, yes, if you're watching this on video, I have a little bit of a new background.
• 2:25
SPEAKER_00: For everybody else that is not listening on video, it is just a white background.
• 2:29
SPEAKER_00: You may or may not see this quite a bit in the future, just because I am now stationed temporarily in my basement, which gives me a little bit more quiet, a little bit more space.
• 2:42
SPEAKER_00: And honestly, it allows me to record late at night as I want or whenever the mood strikes me.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_00: Because currently my office is in the middle of all the bedrooms.
• 2:51
SPEAKER_00: And so, like this gives me a little bit more space and to be impromptu, like an impromptu podcast recording session.
• 2:58
SPEAKER_00: So I'm actually really excited about this.
• 3:00
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_00: So by the way, for those of you that don't know what a mediumship demonstration is, these are group readings.
• 3:09
SPEAKER_00: So if you're scrolling on any of the socials and you're seeing mediums doing demonstrations or reading for a whole bunch of people and they call it spirit-led, et cetera, that is essentially a mediumship demonstration.
• 3:21
SPEAKER_00: I, you know, sometimes do that over on TikTok Live, sometimes Instagram.
• 3:24
  SPEAKER_00: That one's a little more rare.
• 3:26
SPEAKER_00: But what I do is actually, I locally where I live, I host a lot more of the mediumship demonstrations.
• 3:32
SPEAKER_00: And so I've been doing this for a few years now.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_00: I I have led group demonstrations from, you know, very small groups in people's homes, all the way up to 40, 50 people in demonstrations.
• 3:45
SPEAKER_00: And I have to be honest with you, it's a lot of fun.
• 3:47
SPEAKER_00: And I realize that mediumship demonstrations are not for the faint of heart.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_00: I realize that not everybody is excited about talking to a whole bunch of spirits in front of a whole bunch of people.
• 4:00
SPEAKER_00: And I realize there can be a little bit of straight stage fright that comes with that.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_00: But given my background, I actually don't mind at all doing the demonstrations.
• 4:09
SPEAKER_00: And up until Thursday, the medium, the spirits that I brought in have been very respectful.
• 4:19
SPEAKER_00: And so for me, it's been a pretty routine approach to mediumship demonstrations.
• 4:29
SPEAKER_00: And just pausing because I just because yes, I want to acknowledge they're they're really tough as is.
• 4:39
SPEAKER_00: And if you're a medium and you want to do demonstrations, there's like classes you go to, you have to get used to public speaking, you have to get used to commanding the room, you have to figure out energetically where these things land.
• 4:48
SPEAKER_00: So, like from a from a tactical perspective, mediumship demonstrations are very advanced in terms of abilities in the spiritual world and like how you are able to lead a room and read multiple spirits at a time.
• 5:01
SPEAKER_00: Now, last Thursday, I was at a beautiful venue that I've been at many, many different times before.
• 5:11
SPEAKER_00: And it's it was so rinse and repeat that the owner of this shop unexpectedly got a last-minute trip on vacation.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_00: So she wasn't there when she's normally there.
• 5:25
SPEAKER_00: The people who were working in this store in that evening decided not to stay.
• 5:31
SPEAKER_00: And so, I mean, I have been there so many times that they were literally like, Nicole, are you okay running it?
• 5:37
SPEAKER_00: Just lock up and shut the lights off when you leave.
• 5:39
SPEAKER_00: Like, that's how routine these mediumship events are for me.
• 5:43
SPEAKER_00: And so I was excited.
• 5:44
  SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yes, let's do this.
• 5:46
  SPEAKER_00: That sounds great.
• 5:47
SPEAKER_00: And we had a full, full sold-out house of 25 people, is what we had capped for that evening, just to make sure everyone had a little bit of extra space.
• 5:55
SPEAKER_00: So I'm getting ready for this demonstration, and Spirit News Flash picks out my outfits.
• 6:02
SPEAKER_00: And for full effect, on the video today, I'm wearing the shirt that they had me wear that night, which is the utter audacity.
• 6:10
SPEAKER_00: And it's kind of like black, it's got a little bit of bleach spots on there, and it literally says the utter audacity.
• 6:16
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, this is what we're wearing to a demonstration.
• 6:19
SPEAKER_00: This and they said, Yep.
• 6:23
SPEAKER_00: And I know well enough by this point, I do not question my team.
• 6:26
SPEAKER_00: So I wore this and I got ready and I showed up a little early to make sure that the space was set up and good to go.
• 6:34
SPEAKER_00: And we started the demonstration.
• 6:36
SPEAKER_00: And so, what was really unique about the lead up to this demonstration was the prior week, I had the best time because normally spirit will bug the shit out of me for 24 to 48 hours before these events.
• 6:55
SPEAKER_00: Like to the point where I'm not really sleeping.
• 6:59
SPEAKER_00: Every time I leave the house, they are bombarding me.
• 7:02
SPEAKER_00: And yes, they are not allowed on their on my property.
• 7:05
SPEAKER_00: Spirit is not allowed on my property, but it doesn't mean that like I don't know that they're there.
• 7:09
SPEAKER_00: Or every time I go across my property line, they're not bugging me.
• 7:13
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 7:13
SPEAKER_00: And like I'm a mom, I have kids, I'm picking them up from school, I'm driving to things, I'm going grocery shopping.
• 7:18
SPEAKER_00: So I so I'm leaving the house quite a bit.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_00: So I am getting bombarded quite a bit.
• 7:23
SPEAKER_00: But last week, two weeks ago, I told spirit to fuck off.
• 7:28
SPEAKER_00: Like I was like, I don't, this is not an experience that I like.
• 7:31
SPEAKER_00: I do not like being bombarded.
• 7:33
SPEAKER_00: I do not like being woken up.
• 7:36
SPEAKER_00: And so for me, I cut all of spirit off before the demonstration.
• 7:43
SPEAKER_00: And it was amazing, right?
• 7:45
SPEAKER_00: I had so much more energy.
• 7:46
  SPEAKER_00: I wasn't in my head, I wasn't nervous.
• 7:48
SPEAKER_00: And so I really, really liked that I did not seek spirit beforehand or look for validation that they're going to come and join me or had spirit kind of prepare me before the session because honestly, I don't need it at this point.
• 8:00
SPEAKER_00: I've done this work so much.
• 8:02
SPEAKER_00: And so that was my original intention walking into the second demonstration last week, where I said, I am not interested in connecting with anybody beforehand.
• 8:13
SPEAKER_00: I had a full day of clients the day before, the morning of, like I had a full boatload of clients, and like I don't want to be bombarded.
• 8:21
SPEAKER_00: I want to make sure I'm focusing and giving all of my time and attention on the clients who are actually booking with me during the day.
• 8:27
SPEAKER_00: And so I asked them again to fuck off.
• 8:30
SPEAKER_00: But what I found is the spirits did not, in fact, fuck off.
• 8:35
SPEAKER_00: Should have been hint number one for me.
• 8:38
SPEAKER_00: And I got this impression of a dad that had died of infection, and they actually showed me what infection was like on my body.
• 8:45
SPEAKER_00: So I guess I wasn't super uninterested because they were actually showing me new ways of bringing some of the information in because I've never seen what an infection actually felt like in my body, if that makes sense.
• 8:58
  SPEAKER_00: It's so interesting.
• 9:00
SPEAKER_00: So they were teaching me a little bit along the way, but they were giving me enough space to feel like I was focusing on my clients.
• 9:06
SPEAKER_00: So I was like, okay, we're okay.
• 9:08
SPEAKER_00: So as I get the shirt on and as I'm driving to the event, I'm getting a little anxious and I'm getting a little jittery.
• 9:19
SPEAKER_00: Now, you know, I I did have quite a little bit of caffeine, and usually I chalk it up to me.
• 9:28
SPEAKER_00: And so as the event got started, I started taking questions from the audience beforehand while everybody was kind of gathering for the event.
• 9:37
SPEAKER_00: So started chatting with people, answering their really cool questions, and I found myself talking really fast, really jittery as we're getting started.
• 9:45
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I can feel spirit already coming in.
• 9:47
SPEAKER_00: I can feel my lips starting to like mumble.
• 9:50
SPEAKER_00: And like I can literally feel spirit trying to take over my body before the event has even started.
• 9:56
SPEAKER_00: So again, I push them out.
• 9:59
SPEAKER_00: As starting time rolls around, I give a little bit of the introduction, I'm talking, and it's a lot of the vibrations and energy you're probably feeling right now that are coming through me because it was really fast talking, it was really nonstop.
• 10:11
SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to get the information out.
• 10:12
SPEAKER_00: At the same time, I feel like my skin is crawling, my energy is crawling.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_00: And then, like again, my lips are freaking starting to mumble and I'm having trouble saying the words that I need to say.
• 10:23
SPEAKER_00: And so finally I'm like, all right, let's go.
• 10:25
  SPEAKER_00: We'll just, we'll just start.
• 10:26
  SPEAKER_00: Spirit's clearly here.
• 10:28
  SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
• 10:30
SPEAKER_00: And the dad that came through earlier in the day with the infection was the first one that was there.
• 10:36
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, this has got to be his MO.
• 10:39
SPEAKER_00: He probably likes to be first.
• 10:40
SPEAKER_00: This is probably a big personality trait, right?
• 10:42
SPEAKER_00: So I'm describing all of all of the information about this dad.
• 10:45
SPEAKER_00: I'm describing the evidence, I'm describing the way he died, his personality, et cetera.
• 10:52
SPEAKER_00: And then I land it with this woman in the audience.
• 10:54
  SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, great.
• 10:55
SPEAKER_00: Like, can you can you understand everything?
• 10:57
  SPEAKER_00: She's like, yeah.
• 10:58
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, and what's with the mumbling?
• 10:59
SPEAKER_00: Because again, I'm having trouble forming words out of my mouth.
• 11:03
SPEAKER_00: And she validated the mumbling as well.
• 11:05
  SPEAKER_00: I'm great.
• 11:06
SPEAKER_00: So I give her this message.
• 11:09
SPEAKER_00: Her dad, which was really interesting, was very, very sassy, which was interesting because I didn't feel like he was actually sassy, but again, the way that it was coming through me felt very sassy.
• 11:19
SPEAKER_00: So I was like, okay, well, we'll just we'll roll with it.
• 11:23
SPEAKER_00: And then, and I'm doing, oh gosh, I have to figure that out.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_00: And so I get to the end of the reading and I say thank you so much.
• 11:31
SPEAKER_00: And we move on because the rule of spirit is everyone at a demonstration gets one.
• 11:37
SPEAKER_00: Like, if you've been read, you're not gonna get read again.
• 11:39
SPEAKER_00: And at the beginning of the demonstration, I was like, okay, so like this is what will happen.
• 11:43
SPEAKER_00: Please know that you know you'll likely hear more than one message advice, love one that reminds you of them and/or that that resonate with you.
• 11:53
SPEAKER_00: So please keep your eyes and ears out because it means that your loved ones are coming through.
• 11:57
SPEAKER_00: Don't get up and leave.
• 11:58
SPEAKER_00: Like you're gonna, you will get stuff out of this whole session, right?
• 12:01
SPEAKER_00: So as this dad kind of moves out of my periphery, I start pulling in the next spirit.
• 12:06
SPEAKER_00: And I'm describing the next spirit, and again, this feeling of agitation persists.
• 12:11
SPEAKER_00: This feeling of like skin crawling persists even through the next spirit.
• 12:15
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, that's a little bit odd that it would persist, right?
• 12:18
SPEAKER_00: Because normally that would go away once that spirit had been acknowledged.
• 12:21
SPEAKER_00: So I'm describing this next spirit asking who it's for, and I can't remember the specifics on it, but that same woman raised her hand again.
• 12:30
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, can't be you.
• 12:33
  SPEAKER_00: I've already read you.
• 12:35
SPEAKER_00: Take that as a wink.
• 12:36
SPEAKER_00: Let me see who else this is for.
• 12:38
SPEAKER_00: And so we end up like landing it with somebody else, right?
• 12:41
  SPEAKER_00: Complete that reading, great.
• 12:43
SPEAKER_00: Pulled in the third spirit, feeling of agitation still there, which is not fucking normal for me at all.
• 12:51
SPEAKER_00: And I'm just like, you know, it's close to Sawin or Halloween, like, like it's a lot of energy in this room.
• 12:57
  SPEAKER_00: It must be me.
• 12:58
SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna keep rolling with it, right?
• 13:01
SPEAKER_00: Pull in the third spirit, describe who am I with, same fucking person, same woman.
• 13:06
SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I'm not angry with her, same woman raises her hand and she's like, That sounds like they're mine too.
• 13:12
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you have gotta be shitting me.
• 13:15
SPEAKER_00: And I tell her team to back off.
• 13:19
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, you have to go.
• 13:21
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not reading for her anymore, you have to go.
• 13:24
SPEAKER_00: So I end up, I don't even know what happened, but I end up going with another person, placing the placing the third spirit with somebody else.
• 13:31
  SPEAKER_00: Great, got it.
• 13:32
SPEAKER_00: Okay, fourth spirit comes around.
• 13:36
  SPEAKER_00: You fucking guessed it.
• 13:38
SPEAKER_00: She raised her hand again for that one.
• 13:42
  SPEAKER_00: I was so pissed.
• 13:44
SPEAKER_00: Like I would, and I love I had two of my students there, and there were many repeat people here, and and probably some people who were in the room probably saw me very flustered at this point because again, like the evidence is wonky, it's it's really choppy.
• 14:02
SPEAKER_00: Again, everything keeps pointing back to this woman.
• 14:04
SPEAKER_00: And every time I say it's not for you, like there's something I say that brings me back to her every single time, and I'm like, oh my God, you've got to be shitting me.
• 14:12
SPEAKER_00: And this is all kind of going on in my head where I'm having this hissy fit with our team, being like, back the fuck off, I'm not reading you.
• 14:19
  SPEAKER_00: Go away.
• 14:20
  SPEAKER_00: It's not for you.
• 14:21
  SPEAKER_00: I'm not reading you.
• 14:26
SPEAKER_00: And as the fourth spirit kind of winds up, that jittery feeling is still there.
• 14:33
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, what the actual fuck?
• 14:37
SPEAKER_00: And so what I end up doing in my head, and nobody knows this is happening.
• 14:43
SPEAKER_00: My student at the time did not even pick up on this, is I got so pissed off with her family that I said out loud after the reading, I'm like, when she raised her hand, was it for spirit number five?
• 14:56
SPEAKER_00: I think it was for spirit number five.
• 14:58
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was for spirit number five.
• 14:59
SPEAKER_00: I described it again and she raised her hand again.
• 15:02
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, nope.
• 15:03
SPEAKER_00: And I very clearly said to that woman, sounds like you might need a one-on-one private session.
• 15:10
SPEAKER_00: So you are welcome to book with me.
• 15:14
  SPEAKER_00: Spirit just validated that.
• 15:16
SPEAKER_00: And as I before like I reset and pulled in the new spirit, I energetically separated her and her family from the group.
• 15:24
SPEAKER_00: I literally felt my entire energetic field that everybody was sitting in, and I carved her out and shoved her energy out and shoved her family's energy out, her departed loved ones.
• 15:38
SPEAKER_00: I have never fucking done this before, ever.
• 15:41
SPEAKER_00: I didn't even know this was possible.
• 15:43
SPEAKER_00: It just instinctually happened because her family would not stop interrupting me, interrupting my readings, trying to get read over and over again.
• 15:52
SPEAKER_00: And honest to God, breaking my rules in a way that I've never ever fucking seen spirit break my rules.
• 15:58
SPEAKER_00: And you can probably hear in my voice, this is a fraction of the level of pissed that I was while I was trying to do a reading in front of 25 people.
• 16:07
SPEAKER_00: And by the way, at the same time, trying to make sure other people who had paid money are getting good readings too.
• 16:15
SPEAKER_00: Because it's not fair that all of the, it's not that all of the readings kept trying to go to this woman.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_00: And like I understand, and honestly, there's a version of me that has seen this a little bit in the past, but not to this extent.
• 16:29
SPEAKER_00: And I know that, you know, when the readings keep going back towards somebody, someone, like again, they need a private reading.
• 16:36
SPEAKER_00: I get that, but I've never had spirit be so adamant that their person was getting read.
• 16:44
  SPEAKER_00: So I'm not sure.
• 16:45
SPEAKER_00: I'm and again, this poor woman was so embarrassed that her family kept coming through.
• 16:55
SPEAKER_00: Like, I honestly don't think at all that she was itching for it, that she wanted it.
• 17:01
SPEAKER_00: Like, I like I think she was genuinely embarrassed that that she kept raising her hand.
• 17:06
SPEAKER_00: And honestly, I'm glad she did because now I was able to kind of pinpoint what was going on.
• 17:11
SPEAKER_00: Because again, as you're standing up in front of 25 people, like it's really hard to read the energy of the room, read the spirit, understand where it's placed, like hold hold the hold the vibration of everybody that is there physically in the room.
• 17:24
SPEAKER_00: And so for me, like I can deal with what is crystal clear in front of me, but her her family was not crystal clear in front of me.
• 17:31
SPEAKER_00: They were like behind the scenes being pains in the asses to me outside of my periphery where I couldn't watch them or pay attention to who was doing what.
• 17:40
SPEAKER_00: I don't even know how to describe that.
• 17:44
SPEAKER_00: Because I couldn't tell that it was her family coming through over and over again.
• 17:48
SPEAKER_00: I just trusted that my team was letting through one person at a time, and that's the person I was supposed to read one person at a time, and that's the person I was supposed to read.
• 17:56
SPEAKER_00: But and I like this is the part that is making me blow drive me crazy is like, how the fuck, how the fuck did they override my team?
• 18:07
SPEAKER_00: And you know, like I like I said, famous last words of one of my more recent podcast recordings, but like spirit can push through right boundaries, and my team can let spirit push through my boundaries and intentions to help me learn a lesson.
• 18:26
SPEAKER_00: And so for me, obviously a very big lesson was learned in this demonstration, but let me get back to the story and then I'll talk about the lessons in a minute.
• 18:39
SPEAKER_00: So as I, in the middle of this reading, four spirits in, almost reading the fifth one, energetically cut her out, pushed the lovely woman.
• 18:50
SPEAKER_00: I'm so sorry if you're listening to this was you.
• 18:53
SPEAKER_00: It's just what I had to do to make sure I could energetically protect the rest of the circle.
• 18:57
  SPEAKER_00: So I'm so sorry.
• 18:58
SPEAKER_00: Again, nothing against this woman at all, but her her family were bullying me and I had to deal with it.
• 19:05
SPEAKER_00: And so I energetically cut her out and her family out, and I shoved them out of my circle.
• 19:11
SPEAKER_00: And so you can imagine the rest of the circle, once they left, calmed down immediately.
• 19:20
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, immediately.
• 19:23
SPEAKER_00: Did you just shift, feel that shift in energy as I'm talking out loud?
• 19:27
SPEAKER_00: Because it's exactly what it felt like.
• 19:28
SPEAKER_00: It was finally like, oh my God, I can feel again, like I can hear again.
• 19:34
SPEAKER_00: I'm not being bombarded again.
• 19:36
SPEAKER_00: That that anxious feeling that was all in my system was completely gone.
• 19:40
SPEAKER_00: And then I was back to regular fucking demonstration mode.
• 19:43
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh, thank God.
• 19:45
SPEAKER_00: So then I invited the next spirit in, that one landed, the next spirit, that one landed.
• 19:49
SPEAKER_00: The rest of the night, the evidence was great.
• 19:52
  SPEAKER_00: It was amazing.
• 19:53
SPEAKER_00: I was landing the spirits, like in a way that I normally do in these demonstrations, and it felt really fucking good.
• 20:00
SPEAKER_00: Before that point, it did not feel good.
• 20:03
SPEAKER_00: I was not landing the spirits well.
• 20:05
SPEAKER_00: The evidence was like, it was good.
• 20:10
SPEAKER_00: Externally, I think it looked better than it felt internally.
• 20:13
SPEAKER_00: And so for me, I was like, whoa, that just shifted everything.
• 20:21
SPEAKER_00: That shifted fucking everything energetically in the room.
• 20:25
SPEAKER_00: And I finished up the night and it went really well.
• 20:29
SPEAKER_00: Like all of the evidence was taken.
• 20:31
SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing that really made me fucking scratch my head.
• 20:35
SPEAKER_00: Besides the fact that I energetically pushed her out and her family out, the thing that boggles my mind is probably about 10 minutes after I pushed her and her family out of the energetic circle of this demonstration.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_00: She got up and left.
• 21:02
SPEAKER_00: I mean, she physically got up and left the fucking building.
• 21:09
SPEAKER_00: And this was not non-disruptive.
• 21:12
SPEAKER_00: And like again, I'm gonna stay, I'm gonna state the facts and I'm gonna kind of talk about it for a second.
• 21:17
SPEAKER_00: And again, if this is you, please know that I'm not upset about this.
• 21:20
SPEAKER_00: I'm more in shock that it happened.
• 21:23
  SPEAKER_00: I'm not upset.
• 21:24
SPEAKER_00: I don't not angry, I'm not taking it personally.
• 21:26
SPEAKER_00: I'm more so shocked that this woman that was like in the back row, kind of like cordoned in by chairs on both sides, like had to get up, disrupted the disrupted the event a little bit.
• 21:38
SPEAKER_00: Like people that were on the end had to like get up, walk out, so that she could make space to like pick up her shit and walk out, right?
• 21:44
SPEAKER_00: And then she proceeds to like walk to the front of the building to leave and goes and tries to go out the door that was locked.
• 21:50
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, you have to go out the other one, because I don't have that key.
• 21:53
SPEAKER_00: I have the other one.
• 21:54
SPEAKER_00: So so she she literally got up and left.
• 21:59
  SPEAKER_00: That is the first.
• 22:00
SPEAKER_00: No one has ever gotten up and left a demonstration before, ever for me.
• 22:05
SPEAKER_00: And again, I think there was a version of me that would have taken that very personally, that would have called that rude, that would have been very upset and felt disrespected.
• 22:14
SPEAKER_00: I was my job was just on the floor.
• 22:17
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I was in the middle of the demonstration, so I could really couldn't pay attention to her anyway.
• 22:20
SPEAKER_00: But I was more so like, holy shit, she left.
• 22:24
  SPEAKER_00: Holy shit, she left.
• 22:27
SPEAKER_00: Not because I'm upset about she left, but I'm just like, I cut her energy out of the fucking circle and she got up and left.
• 22:33
SPEAKER_00: Like that is the thing that I'm like, holy shit.
• 22:37
  SPEAKER_00: Holy shit.
• 22:38
SPEAKER_00: And I'm not gonna pretend to know why she left.
• 22:41
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I and I'm the human in me, my honest to God reaction was like, I hope she's okay.
• 22:49
SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't, because she was very clearly a little bit embarrassed by her team, by her family that come coming in.
• 22:55
SPEAKER_00: I immediately hopped on my team and I'm like, did she know I did what I did?
• 22:59
  SPEAKER_00: And they're like, no.
• 23:00
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, what is she like mad at me?
• 23:02
SPEAKER_00: And if she, they're like, no, not, and I'm like, is she okay?
• 23:04
  SPEAKER_00: And they're like, no.
• 23:07
SPEAKER_00: So I'm not sure what prompted her to get up and leave.
• 23:14
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 23:16
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 23:18
SPEAKER_00: But clearly, the intention that I set had a lot of fucking weight to it.
• 23:28
SPEAKER_00: And again, like I just want to make sure she was okay.
• 23:30
SPEAKER_00: Like, I kind of wish she stayed.
• 23:32
SPEAKER_00: I kind of wish we could have had a conversation.
• 23:34
SPEAKER_00: I kind of like it's totally fine.
• 23:37
SPEAKER_00: Like, again, I wish this woman nothing but love.
• 23:40
SPEAKER_00: Her fucking family from beyond, though, they can grow some.
• 23:43
SPEAKER_00: Like they can, they can, they can figure out a way to be more polite.
• 23:47
SPEAKER_00: And they like they did not have to act or behave the way that they did.
• 23:51
SPEAKER_00: So I stand by what I did because the fact that her fucking family was bullying me from beyond the grave.
• 23:58
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 23:59
SPEAKER_00: She got up and left.
• 24:00
SPEAKER_00: She got up and left.
• 24:04
SPEAKER_00: I don't like I don't I don't even so for two days, three days after this, it's been like five days right now.
• 24:15
SPEAKER_00: My mind is still reeling from the fact of everything that happened in there.
• 24:20
SPEAKER_00: And it's really making me rethink everything that I think I know about like mediumship in like a really good way.
• 24:29
SPEAKER_00: Because you may recall, I my first mediumship teacher had boundaries with spirit that made me deeply fucking uncomfortable.
• 24:40
SPEAKER_00: Like she was just like, spirit has to come in and follow the step-by-step by step rules that you want them to do.
• 24:48
SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, they're not allowed in and you kick them out.
• 24:50
SPEAKER_00: And I remember when I was first training for mediumship, how fucking wrong that felt.
• 24:55
SPEAKER_00: It felt so wrong to like bully spirit and be like, follow what I'm asking for.
• 25:01
SPEAKER_00: You're not playing the game.
• 25:03
SPEAKER_00: And I have spent years talking about this and like saying, like, I trust spirit implicitly, I trust my team implicitly.
• 25:12
SPEAKER_00: Who the fuck am I to think that I am better or higher knowledge than spirit when I have to like surrender and trust that they know what is best and I'm going to allow them to come through in whatever they want to way they want to come through.
• 25:24
SPEAKER_00: This has been my fucking hill to die on for like five or six years now.
• 25:29
SPEAKER_00: And then I had this experience.
• 25:32
SPEAKER_00: And now I'm not so fucking sure.
• 25:35
SPEAKER_00: And to be fair, I have had a couple of times where like repeat families have come in a few times.
• 25:42
SPEAKER_00: So that is nothing necessarily new for me.
• 25:45
SPEAKER_00: Not to this extent, though.
• 25:47
SPEAKER_00: Like to the point where I'm able to figure out I'm able to like push them out and make make it land with other people, but it didn't really disrupt the night in the way that this family did.
• 25:57
SPEAKER_00: And I have to tell you, in five or six years, like I haven't experienced this level of assholery from departed loved ones.
• 26:07
SPEAKER_00: But now I'm starting to get it.
• 26:09
SPEAKER_00: Now I'm starting to really understand why my teacher was the way that she was.
• 26:16
SPEAKER_00: And I'm starting to understand my responsibility to make sure that I am setting the rules of engagement with my mediumship readings, especially with my demonstrations, and making sure that, like, because I'm the one accountable.
• 26:34
SPEAKER_00: I'm literally the person in the room on the stage delivering the information.
• 26:40
SPEAKER_00: And if spirits can't follow what is expected of me, and not like in an asshole way for me, but like I need, like I generally follow a path.
• 26:50
  SPEAKER_00: I generally have rules.
• 26:52
SPEAKER_00: I have rules that one per person.
• 26:53
SPEAKER_00: I have rules like one at a time.
• 26:55
SPEAKER_00: I have rules of like go around the room.
• 26:57
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be in one spot for too long, right?
• 26:59
SPEAKER_00: I want this to be a fun event for everybody.
• 27:02
SPEAKER_00: And and like my team wants to support me in that too.
• 27:05
SPEAKER_00: So if I have spirits that are not following my rules, I've been a fucking pushover in the past from spirits.
• 27:15
SPEAKER_00: Is it okay to say that?
• 27:19
SPEAKER_00: And I don't know how much I'm gonna change, but I but I think I am gonna start changing how I approach demonstrations because I cannot allow to have this to happen again.
• 27:32
SPEAKER_00: And by the way, like I don't know any other medium ever who talks about this, who talks about like in demonstrations, spirit pushing buttons in this way, and as a response, me like me having the power to energetically fucking remove them from my from my session.
• 27:57
SPEAKER_00: And I'll tell you what, it felt so fucking good to do it.
• 28:03
SPEAKER_00: That was my part of asshole that was coming in.
• 28:05
SPEAKER_00: It felt so fucking good to push them out.
• 28:08
SPEAKER_00: And the next morning, after I'm still reeling from this entire event, I could feel how pissed off my team was.
• 28:16
SPEAKER_00: They were so pissed, they were so upset.
• 28:20
SPEAKER_00: When I say my team, it felt like more of my loved ones, it but it was definitely my guides too.
• 28:25
SPEAKER_00: They were so angry that spirit disrespected me like that.
• 28:31
SPEAKER_00: And so this is where I'm still figuring out this line because I trusted my team to handle it for me.
• 28:41
SPEAKER_00: To handle, like I'll handle the room, I'll handle the people, I'll bring the tissues, I'll bring the deadbell, like I'll I'll bring my cards, right?
• 28:50
SPEAKER_00: And I'll handle the room and I'll make sure the people, the physical people that are in the room are taken care of.
• 28:56
SPEAKER_00: And then I always assume my guides would take care of everything that I couldn't see.
• 29:02
SPEAKER_00: But I'm starting to realize, especially with this most recent ghost conversation that we've been having, God, I have a fucking update for that one.
• 29:09
SPEAKER_00: That's another podcast I got to record.
• 29:12
SPEAKER_00: I'm starting to realize that not only do I have to handle the physical in front of me, but I also kind of have to handle the earth realm energies because I'm not entirely convinced all of this woman's family have like fully quote unquote crossed over into the life review process.
• 29:30
  SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna say it's probably about 60, 40 haven't.
• 29:36
SPEAKER_00: And so there was an element of that session why I was getting bombarded and why they were overriding my team because they were closer to the earth-based energies and were able to influence me in a way that was higher because, again, they're like in the earthly realm.
• 29:52
  SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense?
• 29:53
SPEAKER_00: This is my hypothesis at this current moment.
• 29:55
SPEAKER_00: So I'm sure I could be convinced otherwise.
• 30:10
SPEAKER_00: I think I've always assumed that again, this will probably be another podcast episode.
• 30:17
SPEAKER_00: Our departed loved ones come from love and light.
• 30:20
SPEAKER_00: And they want what's best for us.
• 30:22
SPEAKER_00: And they want that, and she this this family sure as fuck wanted what was best for this woman sitting in the audience, so much so that they pushed me over as the conduit to make sure that they fulfilled their wishes first.
• 30:37
SPEAKER_00: And like, wouldn't that be just amazing evidence for a lot of our pain in the ass loved ones on the other side?
• 30:42
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, I get it, I get it, I get it.
• 30:52
SPEAKER_00: And so, yeah, like that this is what has me reeling.
• 30:56
SPEAKER_00: And as you can hear, like, I don't have all the answers, right?
• 31:01
SPEAKER_00: I don't have all the answers, but I'm starting to maybe take spirit that I love so much off their pedestal and really like realize that dead people are still people, right?
• 31:12
SPEAKER_00: They are still gonna be imperfect, they are still gonna have opinions, they are still gonna have their personality quirks, and they are still gonna bulldoze me if they think that that's in the best interest of their loved ones still in the physical realm.
• 31:27
SPEAKER_00: And again, I'm trying not to put all of this opinion on every single departed loved one ever, because I don't think it's true.
• 31:37
SPEAKER_00: I think this is truly is the fucking exception and not the rule.
• 31:40
SPEAKER_00: Because again, in six years, I've never seen this before.
• 31:43
SPEAKER_00: I've never seen it to this extent before, I guess is the way that I want to say it.
• 31:49
SPEAKER_00: Most of the time, I think like most people on planet Earth, they are respectful and appreciative of my role as the medium.
• 31:59
SPEAKER_00: But just like people on planet Earth, I think that there can be certain spirits that take advantage of us as mediums.
• 32:05
SPEAKER_00: And I think that we need to be aware of it.
• 32:07
SPEAKER_00: And I think it's perfectly okay to set up your own rules of engagement and energetically cut people and spirits out if they push your fucking buttons, especially if they're doing it on purpose.
• 32:26
SPEAKER_00: And so for me, this is like such a big lesson that I needed to learn.
• 32:31
SPEAKER_00: Such a big lesson that I needed to learn.
• 32:36
SPEAKER_00: Because I think I need to be more explicit with spirit about what I want and what I don't want in these mediumship demonstrations.
• 32:46
SPEAKER_00: Like, how do I want to host the room?
• 32:49
SPEAKER_00: What kind of information do I want?
• 32:52
SPEAKER_00: And I can work with my team on setting those expectations or identifying like what do I want?
• 32:57
SPEAKER_00: You know, like what are what's the best method?
• 32:59
SPEAKER_00: And I might allow my team to override it, but I don't think I'm going to allow departed loved ones to override it anymore.
• 33:17
SPEAKER_01: And listen, I get it.
• 33:19
  SPEAKER_00: I I get it.
• 33:22
SPEAKER_00: Because if my if I were dead, like I always put myself in the shoes of the spirit, right?
• 33:29
SPEAKER_00: If I were dead and my daughter was having a really tough time, and she ended up in a mediumship demonstration, and she fucking needed me, I would probably push through just as much as what I suspect would be this mom as well.
• 33:47
SPEAKER_00: I feel like it was a mom that was pushing everybody through.
• 33:51
  SPEAKER_00: I would.
• 33:52
  SPEAKER_00: I fucking would.
• 33:53
SPEAKER_00: And so I get it.
• 33:55
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 33:56
SPEAKER_00: And like if I got kicked out for that, I would fucking deserve it too.
• 34:04
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 34:07
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 34:08
SPEAKER_00: Like, yes, it's absolutely true.
• 34:12
SPEAKER_00: So I mean, it's really interesting because I always assumed that Spear knew better.
• 34:21
SPEAKER_00: Now I'm not so sure.
• 34:23
SPEAKER_00: I'm not so sure, everybody.
• 34:25
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 34:26
SPEAKER_00: And I thought mediumship was about respect and love.
• 34:30
SPEAKER_00: But now I'm seeing like sometimes it's not about that.
• 34:34
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 34:35
SPEAKER_00: And my responsibility as the medium is to hold the container to allow the maximum amount of healing and love and messages and fun to be delivered at these events.
• 34:51
SPEAKER_00: And so I'm really gonna have to work on my boundaries with spirit, especially, especially because my team keeps telling me over and over how much bigger these events are gonna get.
• 35:03
SPEAKER_00: And so I feel like this was an odd fucking ceremony or threshold for me that is going to force me to think and act and be differently at these mediumship demonstrations.
• 35:16
SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited for this because I have two more coming up in this week and next week.
• 35:20
SPEAKER_00: So I'm actually really, really excited that I can start to test out these boundaries a little bit with spirit because I think it's gonna help.
• 35:27
  SPEAKER_00: I think it's gonna help me.
• 35:28
SPEAKER_00: I think it's gonna help the sitters.
• 35:29
SPEAKER_00: I think it's gonna create a more memorable and meaningful event.
• 35:36
SPEAKER_00: And it's so interesting because there's definitely teachers of mine that are would like be cheering for me saying that out loud.
• 35:44
SPEAKER_00: And I know there would be teachers of mine that would be like, why are you trying to fucking control it?
• 35:49
SPEAKER_00: Just surrender to it, let spirit do what spirit wants to do.
• 35:55
SPEAKER_00: And so for me, obviously, I've been leaning more toward towards the latter than the former, but I think I'm starting to shift a little bit towards the former, and maybe it's a balance of both because spirit is not as black and white as we think they are, right?
• 36:08
SPEAKER_00: Because they can be love and light and they can be fucking pushy, right?
• 36:14
SPEAKER_00: They can be both of these things.
• 36:17
SPEAKER_00: Because I think spirit is, I think our departed loved ones are as fucking complicated as they were here on planet Earth, right?
• 36:25
SPEAKER_00: And so for us, we need to make sure that we are as mediums figuring out what is the way that we want to work with spirit that allows us to feel the most comfortable because as we uh do this work, I mean, it takes a toll on our nervous system.
• 36:42
SPEAKER_00: It takes a lot of effort and energy and I don't know, like stamina and grit to be able to do this work.
• 36:54
SPEAKER_00: And so you're gonna have to approach spirit in whatever way allows your nervous system to feel the most comfortable because that's gonna create the clearest connection via the mediumship vibration.
• 37:10
SPEAKER_00: But I'll tell you what, I will never fucking forget this demonstration for as long as I live.
• 37:16
SPEAKER_00: I will, I will never forget the fact of how I intuitively, instinctually knew how to remove them from participating in the session, but then actually seeing the impact of that with my physical fucking eyes was mind-blowing to me.
• 37:39
SPEAKER_00: And so, like, I'm gonna say I'm actually a little bit glad that this woman's pushy family came through because it allowed me to really develop this new relationship or at least this new understanding and allowed me to be curious.
• 37:53
SPEAKER_00: I think that's the biggest thing is because I don't want to judge it.
• 37:55
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to say that the spirits are wrong.
• 37:57
SPEAKER_00: I don't like certainly don't want to put any onus on the person who was like accidentally in the crossfire that was just there to have a fun night getting mediumship readings and knew that she wasn't supposed to get another one, right?
• 38:08
SPEAKER_00: I'm glad that this all happened because it allows me to be curious about is there a different or better way to engage with spirit.
• 38:22
SPEAKER_00: And it has allowed me to take my sovereignty back with these demonstrations in a way that I didn't think was possible.
• 38:34
SPEAKER_00: And so if you are somebody who is doing mediumship readings or mediumship demonstrations and you are finding that it not it does not work for you, get curious as to why and see if you can also shift the rules of engagement so that you can continue to be confident and comfortable to do this work in whatever way works best for you.
• 39:00
SPEAKER_00: And so that's my story.
• 39:03
SPEAKER_00: Interested if any of you have seen or experienced something similar in the events that you've gone to, and or if your mediums, any events that you've done.
• 39:17
SPEAKER_00: And I'm really hoping I don't have that many more lessons to learn about this because that was fucking brutal.
• 39:22
SPEAKER_00: And thank you for all of you that were there at this event.
• 39:26
SPEAKER_00: Thankfully, my students were able to be like, no, it didn't look as bad as it may have felt, which is also a lesson for me to walk away with as well, because that certainly did not feel great.
• 39:35
SPEAKER_00: But I hope that everybody that was there was able to receive the amazing loving messages from their departed loved ones and or from the messages that resonated with them while they were in the room, because my God, mediumship demonstrations are just one of my favorite things ever.
• 39:54
SPEAKER_00: So there you have it.
• 39:55
SPEAKER_00: That was my night of the utter audacity at a mediumship demonstration.
• 40:00
  SPEAKER_00: Take care.
• 40:23
SPEAKER_00: Conversations are gonna get weirder, and you may even end up being part of the show.
• 40:29
SPEAKER_00: And if you're ready to take what we're exploring here and use it to create real change in your own life, you can always work with me directly by booking a session or attending a class right on my website at mediumnicole.com.
• 40:42
SPEAKER_00: Because knowing what's possible is only the beginning.
• 40:45
SPEAKER_00: The real magic is what you choose to do with it.
• 40:49
SPEAKER_00: I'll see you next time on the Unity Code.
