- 1:12Speaker 3: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Twenty wine Whistles and everybody watching on the podcast, Eddie
- 1:22Speaker 1: got me a hat for Christmas that lights up and
- 1:24Speaker 1: it says twenty five whistles.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I mean you can program to say whatever you want.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It's like a billboard, electric billboard. Yeah, is it bright enough?
- 1:33Speaker 1: Can you see it?
- 1:34Speaker 5: See it?
- 1:35Speaker 6: The middle the I in the S gets a little lost,
- 1:39Speaker 6: like electrical hazard.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I know, I don't know.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I got it on TikTok Shop. I'm not sure.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Was it Chiefs the Holic thing?
- 1:46Speaker 2: Awesome?
- 1:46Speaker 1: So Chiefs the Holics gout to rob the bank.
- 1:48Speaker 7: The banks, the Chief the guy that dresses a wolf. Yeah,
- 1:51Speaker 7: and he robbed all the banks and sat front Road
- 1:54Speaker 7: every Chiefs game.
- 1:54Speaker 1: So backstory me on in the listeners on who Chiefs
- 1:57Speaker 1: the Holic is, and then talk about that show.
- 1:58Speaker 7: He's a super man, a Chief superfan that went to
- 2:01Speaker 7: every single game. And when you talk to people that
- 2:04Speaker 7: go to Chiefs games. Everyone knows him. He's very sociable.
- 2:08Speaker 7: He goes to every tailgate. He's got front road to
- 2:11Speaker 7: every single game. Well, what happened was he just kind
- 2:15Speaker 7: of he was really big on Twitter and like social media.
- 2:18Speaker 7: All of a sudden, he goes radio silent. So everyone
- 2:22Speaker 7: at the games, all his friends, his fans, everything is
- 2:24Speaker 7: just like, what's happening. He tweets like ten times a
- 2:26Speaker 7: day and there's been nothing. Well, turns out he was
- 2:30Speaker 7: robbing a bank and he got and he had robbed many, right,
- 2:34Speaker 7: So it turns out that he had robbed out robbed
- 2:36Speaker 7: a bunch of banks and that's how he was funding his,
- 2:39Speaker 7: you know, his like lifestyle.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So when they actually because again I knew the broad strokes,
- 2:46Speaker 1: so they didn't know he had robbed many until they
- 2:48Speaker 1: wondered why he wasn't responsive this one time, they found
- 2:53Speaker 1: the robbed one bank and from that one bank, if
- 2:56Speaker 1: I'm right, didn't they like place the banks at all
- 2:58Speaker 1: away games like he would like rob as he was
- 3:00Speaker 1: going to the away games.
- 3:01Speaker 7: Every away game that's on the way, he would rob
- 3:04Speaker 7: a bank's dedication.
- 3:05Speaker 4: He was even in Nashville. He robbed a bank here.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, so where's he now? Well, you don't want to say,
- 3:13Speaker 1: they don't spoil it. I don't want to say, because
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch it, so don't spoil it.
- 3:16Speaker 7: And the reason I don't want to say is because
- 3:18Speaker 7: I had forgotten how this whole thing ended. I probably
- 3:21Speaker 7: knew at some point by reading the news, but I'd
- 3:23Speaker 7: forgotten and it helped me enjoy the documentary a lot.
- 3:26Speaker 5: I love better.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I will watch it then it's on Prime.
- 3:28Speaker 4: It's on Prime.
- 3:30Speaker 1: It's called Chiefs a Holic, Chiefs the Halic.
- 3:32Speaker 7: But dude, what's amazing about this documentary is the footage.
- 3:35Speaker 7: So the documentary starts when he gets out of jail,
- 3:39Speaker 7: like so he gets arrested, and whoever made this documentary
- 3:42Speaker 7: was so smart to move so quickly on it that
- 3:45Speaker 7: the first footage of him is when he walks out
- 3:47Speaker 7: of jail, when he's out on bail, and the documentary
- 3:50Speaker 7: starts and they have footage of everything, him watching the
- 3:53Speaker 7: Super Bowl from a hotel room with an ankle bracelet on.
- 3:55Speaker 5: All of it.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Man, I'm so in I want to leave right now
- 3:58Speaker 1: and go and watch that because I knew that was
- 4:00Speaker 1: so muched in the story. I didn't know there was
- 4:02Speaker 1: a documentary on it already. Dude, you guys would love
- 4:04Speaker 1: Would you hang out with a guy the whole bank
- 4:06Speaker 1: Robin thing?
- 4:06Speaker 5: Oh?
- 4:07Speaker 1: And I wouldn't either, because I've seen stuff about him.
- 4:09Speaker 1: He's annoying, his crap and he gets on like the
- 4:10Speaker 1: message boards on Fight with like other hardcore fans. I
- 4:13Speaker 1: don't know if this is in the documentary, but he
- 4:15Speaker 1: would like get into it with like the guy from
- 4:17Speaker 1: the Jets, what's his name? Like all the all the
- 4:20Speaker 1: teams like have one of those super fans. Yeah, and
- 4:24Speaker 1: there was like this rivalry between them, and there would
- 4:27Speaker 1: be rivalries between the teams and like a couple of
- 4:31Speaker 1: the super fans that were trying to be like the
- 4:32Speaker 1: main super fan. I'm in chiefs a hall like the
- 4:35Speaker 1: what do you give it?
- 4:35Speaker 7: What are you's hal like? Man, I give a four
- 4:37Speaker 7: point five wolf costume?
- 4:39Speaker 1: Salad? Oh wolf wolf wolf?
- 4:44Speaker 5: Wolf?
- 4:44Speaker 4: H it's a wolf, right, he's a wolf. Yeah, I
- 4:47Speaker 4: don't know what Kevin's correcting me when I hear wolf and.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Then you said wolf like a dog wolf wolf?
- 4:53Speaker 4: Wolf?
- 4:54Speaker 1: Well, no, wolf, I don't know, dude, wolf. Okay, love
- 4:57Speaker 1: it I want to start with that. I want to
- 4:58Speaker 1: go to this.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Listen.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I think Caul Cookin is a bad person. And this
- 5:03Speaker 1: is not based on his political beliefs, because I don't
- 5:05Speaker 1: think anybody's a bad person based on their political beliefs,
- 5:07Speaker 1: even if I disagree with them. I think call Cook's
- 5:10Speaker 1: a bad person based on his life. He's on a
- 5:14Speaker 1: lot of shady things the whole in word, he just
- 5:17Speaker 1: the other wrestlers, by the way, Jeff Jared's coming up,
- 5:20Speaker 1: and I think all Coed's a bad person, and I
- 5:23Speaker 1: have thought that for a while. This story that I
- 5:26Speaker 1: saw on TikTok about him, I want to play it.
- 5:28Speaker 1: It's one minute long. The person who put the video
- 5:32Speaker 1: up is shady Underscore Spidey. Here we go hit it.
- 5:38Speaker 8: Imagine you meeting your childhood hero and you give him
- 5:40Speaker 8: a four thousand dollars gift and he turns around and
- 5:43Speaker 8: signs it and then puts it up for auction for
- 5:46Speaker 8: two thousand dollars.
- 5:47Speaker 2: More than what it's forced.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Well, you don't have to imagine it, because that's what
- 5:50Speaker 5: happened to this guy who is a.
- 5:52Speaker 9: Very reputable person in the Facebook Wrestling Belts collecting group
- 5:56Speaker 9: and for him to post it.
- 5:57Speaker 4: That means it must be true.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And if you notice here.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Something that just struck a chord with me is someone.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Who lives paycheck to paycheck.
- 6:06Speaker 9: Gives a gift work four thousand to Cogan the Holster
- 6:11Speaker 9: then signs and lists of herself to six thousand.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Oh my god, that's so scummy.
- 6:19Speaker 2: That's so scummy.
- 6:20Speaker 5: That's just that's in so many ways, Hulk Hogan is.
- 6:24Speaker 2: He's doing very well for himself.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I can tell you.
- 6:27Speaker 5: I've seen his his shop not far from where I live.
- 6:31Speaker 1: He's doing he's doing just fine.
- 6:33Speaker 5: For him to put this piece of memorabilia up that
- 6:36Speaker 5: somebody gave.
- 6:37Speaker 1: To them, it's roll. I was blown away, except I
- 6:41Speaker 1: really wasn't that blown away based on other things that
- 6:43Speaker 1: I've even heard that I won't mention here on the air.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I remember also Haul Cocon had sex with his friend's wife.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah that's funny, really on camera. There's a tape right now, Yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 1: tape love fung, Yeah, Bobby loves fine.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Oh, so here's the thing. You got a superfan that
- 6:57Speaker 1: probably saved up a lot to go meet his hero
- 6:59Speaker 1: and give him a gift, and then whul Cogin just
- 7:04Speaker 1: let's say he just sold it. He just immediately, even
- 7:08Speaker 1: if he wants to hold it for a couple of years,
- 7:12Speaker 1: even that's better. Yeah, you sell it. It's like Eddie
- 7:15Speaker 1: gave me this great hat.
- 7:16Speaker 4: I see that on e and be so pissed and
- 7:19Speaker 4: maybe two years not so much.
- 7:21Speaker 10: Right.
- 7:22Speaker 1: One time, when I put a book out, I think,
- 7:23Speaker 1: in my second book.
- 7:24Speaker 4: No no, we're not talking about we're not talking about this.
- 7:27Speaker 1: And it wasn't like this grand gesture, but I was like,
- 7:31Speaker 1: I'll give it all my friend's books, enter a little
- 7:32Speaker 1: note how important they were to me in the process
- 7:35Speaker 1: and in general. And then somebody sends me a picture
- 7:38Speaker 1: of the book that I gave Eddie at a thrift store.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Now she called in on the radio show, but.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I got the pictures though, oh yeah yeah. So it's
- 7:45Speaker 1: like Eddie, dude, your best friend, and she found it
- 7:48Speaker 1: like a thrift store. And it was like, I think
- 7:50Speaker 1: this was a book that you must have given Eddie. Yeah,
- 7:53Speaker 1: it is a person, it's a true story. And the
- 7:57Speaker 1: first thing I did was text my wife like did
- 7:59Speaker 1: you get rid of my book? And she said, I
- 8:01Speaker 1: don't know what you're talking about. And I told bones
- 8:03Speaker 1: I promised I did not sell that book.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I didn't do anything with it.
- 8:07Speaker 7: But turns out my wife did grab a bunch of
- 8:08Speaker 7: books and took it to like Goodwill or whatever.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And I guess mine was just in a bunch of
- 8:12Speaker 1: random books. And I was gonna say it felt note
- 8:14Speaker 1: I have a picture of it, Eddie dude bade. Yeah,
- 8:17Speaker 1: somebody found it at the Dollar Tree.
- 8:21Speaker 4: It's terrible.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Did you guys have Abilities Unlimited.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Where you grew up?
- 8:25Speaker 5: No?
- 8:25Speaker 2: No, what was that? Yeah? I don't know that.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It was U with the version of a press books
- 8:32Speaker 1: good Will?
- 8:33Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, it was.
- 8:35Speaker 1: We had that instead of good Will, and there's probably
- 8:36Speaker 1: good Will Little Rock, but we had Abilities Unlimited. And
- 8:39Speaker 1: what it was there were a lot of the kids
- 8:41Speaker 1: that special needs worked there, so that's why it was
- 8:43Speaker 1: Abilities Unlimited. But that was where you donated, like and
- 8:46Speaker 1: so I was gonna say I found a book of
- 8:49Speaker 1: Abilities Unlimited, but I should good Will was the real
- 8:51Speaker 1: thing to say, Yeah, like.
- 8:52Speaker 11: None of us would have got it, yeah, yeah, read maybe.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Yeah, No, it had that argatsall, I've never seen one,
- 8:58Speaker 1: and you're from like forty five minutes from me.
- 9:00Speaker 12: I know.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Oh, let's go to story number three. Yeah, we already
- 9:04Speaker 1: had that Eddie letter chiefs a Hall like I wanted
- 9:05Speaker 1: to do Houlko again, read we don't know the story,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and read goes, hey, guys, I got a good story
- 9:11Speaker 1: to tell.
- 9:12Speaker 6: It's a very unfortunate story. Actually it happened just about
- 9:16Speaker 6: an hour ago before we were filming. What yeah, yeah,
- 9:20Speaker 6: is this front air or is it? Are you gonna
- 9:22Speaker 6: tell us? And it's gonna be sad and no?
- 9:23Speaker 1: I told Kevin. Kevin was like, dude, you need to
- 9:25Speaker 1: share that. Okay, go ahead.
- 9:27Speaker 6: So I was like, Okay, I don't really want to
- 9:28Speaker 6: share it, but all right whatever. So we're, you know,
- 9:31Speaker 6: we're getting ready to record, and I'm like, man, I
- 9:33Speaker 6: need to go to the bathroom.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So I go to the bathroom.
- 9:37Speaker 6: There's a man in front of me that goes right
- 9:38Speaker 6: in front of me into the bathroom. We're at the
- 9:40Speaker 6: iHeart Building, so they're nice bathrooms.
- 9:43Speaker 5: We go in.
- 9:44Speaker 6: Man number one goes in one stall. I go in
- 9:46Speaker 6: the other, sit down, start to do my business.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I can.
- 9:50Speaker 6: I can see he's right next to me. It's dead silent,
- 9:53Speaker 6: he's not making any noise. He clearly hears me, you know,
- 9:56Speaker 6: do my business. He knows I went, and so I'm like,
- 9:59Speaker 6: all right, I'm gonna finish up, do a little courtesy flush,
- 10:01Speaker 6: you know, for everybody in there, turn around and.
- 10:06Speaker 11: Press the button, and it's just clank, clank.
- 10:08Speaker 6: I was like, oh no, And I look and there's
- 10:10Speaker 6: wires coming out.
- 10:11Speaker 10: There's a bag of tools that I clearly did not
- 10:16Speaker 10: see at all, literally up toilet. So this dude next
- 10:22Speaker 10: to me, this dude next to me clearly knows I
- 10:27Speaker 10: just had, you know, a private time in there.
- 10:29Speaker 4: You didn't wear.
- 10:31Speaker 6: The tools are like kind of back behind the toilet.
- 10:34Speaker 6: Like I'm just I'm I'm lasered in I go in there,
- 10:36Speaker 6: I turn around. I'm like, I'm gonna let this happen.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm not thinking.
- 10:41Speaker 6: So I hear that clink and I'm like, oh my god,
- 10:43Speaker 6: what do I do. This guy knows I just went
- 10:44Speaker 6: to the bathroom. Do I get up and clearly leave
- 10:47Speaker 6: without flushing he knows that, or do I wait for
- 10:50Speaker 6: him to get up finish his business. And he's sitting
- 10:52Speaker 6: there and I don't even I think this dude's just
- 10:55Speaker 6: playing on his phone. I don't know what he's doing.
- 10:57Speaker 6: But five minutes goes by and I'm like, okay, I
- 10:59Speaker 6: just gotta I just got to make a make a
- 11:01Speaker 6: run for it, because like if I wait any longer,
- 11:03Speaker 6: like maintenance dude is.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Gonna come back and get his tools pissed.
- 11:07Speaker 6: And so I, you know, I did, did the good thing,
- 11:10Speaker 6: and you know, covered everything up with toilet paper, you know,
- 11:13Speaker 6: the best top. Yeah, the best I could.
- 11:15Speaker 1: To put the dirt over it. But he was a
- 11:17Speaker 1: toilet paper Yeah yeah.
- 11:19Speaker 6: I got up and just awkwardly walked out, even though
- 11:22Speaker 6: I know that guy was like, man, I do didn't flush,
- 11:25Speaker 6: that's weird and wash my hands and then Casey.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Yeah, so you shared the story in the green room.
- 11:31Speaker 8: And then I had to go take a leak at
- 11:33Speaker 8: some point, so I'm like, all right, let me, I'll
- 11:34Speaker 8: go like scope out the situation. So then I went
- 11:37Speaker 8: to the urinal and uh, you know, everything smelled okay
- 11:41Speaker 8: in there, but I was leaking. And then all of
- 11:42Speaker 8: a sudden, I hear someone behind me just whistling, and
- 11:44Speaker 8: it was the handyman and he goes into the bathroom
- 11:47Speaker 8: that read.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Just annihilate for the first time. He must he must
- 11:52Speaker 1: have got tools. It was like super casual.
- 11:54Speaker 4: He was just going in there, and you just I'm
- 11:57Speaker 4: like sitting there at the urinal and I just hear this.
- 12:04Speaker 1: You heard him see acknowledge and get pissed.
- 12:08Speaker 5: It, And I wouldn't.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I would have thought somebody saw it ended it anyway,
- 12:12Speaker 1: that's what happened.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Well, I think that's what he thought.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I would have. I would have thought that. Yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 1: like they saw the tools and they still took it
- 12:18Speaker 1: down and hair I felt so bad. I felt so bad.
- 12:21Speaker 4: It's just like one of those deep breaths. So you're
- 12:22Speaker 4: just like, man, I just.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:26Speaker 13: And then there's a layer to it where Kate I
- 12:28Speaker 13: was coming in this case, I know anything happened before.
- 12:30Speaker 4: I was trying to keep it cool and it came
- 12:32Speaker 4: out and I.
- 12:32Speaker 13: Went in and I'm at the urinal and I hear
- 12:34Speaker 13: a door slam and I'm like, dang, somebody's really gotta
- 12:37Speaker 13: go or something. So restarted telling me the story was like,
- 12:39Speaker 13: were you in there to and that guy Sam, He's like,
- 12:41Speaker 13: I think it was a maintenance guy pissed off and rightfully.
- 12:45Speaker 6: So you didn't do anything with any malicious.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he desecrated the whole would have annoyed. There
- 12:55Speaker 1: are tools there was taking apart and dude like he's
- 13:00Speaker 1: like the nicest, kindest guy.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Of all of us, just a mountain.
- 13:05Speaker 1: All right, man, Eddie, how do you feel about going
- 13:08Speaker 1: to the Chargers?
- 13:09Speaker 5: Huh?
- 13:09Speaker 4: Zeke going to the Chargers having good luck? I mean
- 13:11Speaker 4: good luck.
- 13:12Speaker 1: What are the gonna do with him? Is he gonna
- 13:14Speaker 1: play like just in case?
- 13:16Speaker 2: Okay? Yeah?
- 13:18Speaker 11: Because is it Dobbins or Edwards? One of them is hurt?
- 13:21Speaker 4: I think Dobbins got banged.
- 13:23Speaker 7: Kim backup thing they said, you know, I think Jerry
- 13:26Speaker 7: Jones said that we're gonna give him a chance to
- 13:28Speaker 7: maybe join a team that can play in the playoffs
- 13:30Speaker 7: or something like that. So they let him go, which
- 13:32Speaker 7: I thought was a lie. And like, okay, yeah, right,
- 13:34Speaker 7: like the Eagles are gonna pick him up.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Okay, but yeah he's going to Hey.
- 13:37Speaker 7: He's going to the playoffs. Go right, Zee, you did it, dude,
- 13:41Speaker 7: But I mean, what's he gonna do? I'm not worried
- 13:44Speaker 7: about it.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Well, you shouldn't be worried. I wonder how it made
- 13:47Speaker 1: you feel, though, But I guess the fact that he
- 13:49Speaker 1: already left once for a team doesn't make it so weird.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Had you been a cowboy forever? Yeah, and then he
- 13:54Speaker 1: goes and does this, it's weird to see him another uniform,
- 13:56Speaker 1: like Emmitt Smith as an Arizona Cardinal. It's still strange.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Hakeem Olajuwan as a Toronto Raptor is still odd. But
- 14:05Speaker 1: Zeke did leave. But it is kind of cool that
- 14:07Speaker 1: you can just go and jump on a playoff team
- 14:09Speaker 1: for him, that's pretty cool. It's like Cowboys over, we suck,
- 14:13Speaker 1: but hop on this team.
- 14:14Speaker 4: What's his name, Teddy Bridgewater just did that for the Lions.
- 14:16Speaker 4: He's just going to get a ring.
- 14:17Speaker 1: And he wasn't even playing. Like he coached high school,
- 14:20Speaker 1: won a state championship first year coaching the high school team,
- 14:23Speaker 1: and then went back and is now the backup in Detroit, Wait.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Bridgewater got out of the league for a little bit.
- 14:27Speaker 1: He coached high school fotball, like technically retired. He won
- 14:30Speaker 1: the state championship in Florida.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I did not know that.
- 14:32Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 14:34Speaker 11: Back with the Lions.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he signed on.
- 14:36Speaker 11: I have not seen that.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Amazing a couple of weeks ago or something like that. Yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 4: that's the life, never giving up.
- 14:42Speaker 1: They say he's one of the smartest players in the NFL,
- 14:46Speaker 1: and yeah, obviously he's not starting. And they think that
- 14:51Speaker 1: he's smart enough to win emergency situations. He could come
- 14:53Speaker 1: in and be a good backup, a dependable backup.
- 14:56Speaker 5: Right.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but you should watch some of the videos. I'm
- 14:58Speaker 1: talking about hig School, FOTBA and how he tough loved them,
- 15:03Speaker 1: gets tough love he because he grew up I think
- 15:07Speaker 1: in a similar area and that's why he was there coaching,
- 15:09Speaker 1: and he was like when we got in trouble and
- 15:14Speaker 1: he talked about how he would grab the face. You
- 15:16Speaker 1: have to watch the clip, but he's he went hard
- 15:17Speaker 1: on those kids and they want he goes because these
- 15:19Speaker 1: kids are from a place where it's hard all the time,
- 15:22Speaker 1: because it's not like he's coaching at a rich school.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And he's like they some of them don't have moms,
- 15:27Speaker 1: some of them they don't even know their dads, and
- 15:29Speaker 1: the only way you can get to them is hard,
- 15:32Speaker 1: and he go, he goes, and I have to go
- 15:33Speaker 1: hard because they had to go hard on me. And
- 15:36Speaker 1: at first you're going when they just show some of
- 15:37Speaker 1: the clips of him going at some of the kids,
- 15:39Speaker 1: you're like, dang, remember Trent Dilforth thing. Yeah that was
- 15:41Speaker 1: at a rich school. Yeah, that was a rich kids. Yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: and it was like, dang, that's hardcore, dude. But he
- 15:46Speaker 1: sets it up and he tells why. He goes, a
- 15:48Speaker 1: lot of these kids don't have parents, and the only
- 15:49Speaker 1: way to get to them is this, and he goes,
- 15:51Speaker 1: when I go circle up and they circle up, they
- 15:55Speaker 1: know it's about to be real bad because he just
- 15:57Speaker 1: I mean gets in there a one, say championship. Where
- 16:02Speaker 1: was this like in Florida. Somewhere in Florida. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:04Speaker 1: I wish I was. I'm not prepared, but I did
- 16:06Speaker 1: keep up with.
- 16:07Speaker 4: It the whole That's that's cool. I did not know that.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Pretty cool.
- 16:09Speaker 1: And now he's backing up the Lion's good story. Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I don't know. Do we care that they have wid
- 16:16Speaker 1: a winning record every year for one hundred years?
- 16:17Speaker 7: M Okay, it's pretty cool, go ahead, and that's I mean,
- 16:20Speaker 7: it's it's cool. They've always been relevant, which is crazy.
- 16:25Speaker 8: Right with Tomlin too, He's never had a losing record.
- 16:27Speaker 8: But I think a lot of Pittsburgh fans are kind
- 16:29Speaker 8: of tired of him though. That's like the vibe that
- 16:31Speaker 8: I get.
- 16:32Speaker 1: It's easy to be tired of somebody until you get
- 16:35Speaker 1: somebody that's worse, right, and then you miss whenever you
- 16:38Speaker 1: had something good.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I take Mike Tomlin and Hart me too.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And Tomlin did win a super Bowl, yeah, thirty years ago,
- 16:44Speaker 1: but he did win a super Bowl. On the show
- 16:48Speaker 1: that I do for NFL now, I was talking to
- 16:50Speaker 1: Kurt Warner about this specifically, and I said, hey, man,
- 16:53Speaker 1: are the Steelers in like purgatory because they never lose
- 16:58Speaker 1: enough to have a top pick. They never are able
- 17:01Speaker 1: to win enough to win a championship. It's always they
- 17:05Speaker 1: have a good coach, they win ten games, nine ten games.
- 17:09Speaker 1: It's like a purgatory type place because they don't have
- 17:12Speaker 1: a top three pick. They're never able to get one
- 17:13Speaker 1: of those quarterbacks. And he had a pretty good diplomatic
- 17:15Speaker 1: answer and he was like, you know, there are a
- 17:17Speaker 1: few quarterbacks there, you know, Lamar Jackson drafted thirty first,
- 17:20Speaker 1: fewer and far between. But it's like they have to
- 17:22Speaker 1: get the quarterback situation right and they haven't. And I'm
- 17:26Speaker 1: a big believer of and not in the Pittsburgh situation only,
- 17:29Speaker 1: but if think things are mid to slightly below mid
- 17:32Speaker 1: for a long time, sometimes you have to burn it
- 17:34Speaker 1: all down, Yeah, because then the NBA, especially you don't
- 17:38Speaker 1: want to be a five hundred team. You either want
- 17:40Speaker 1: to be terrible or you want to be awesome and
- 17:43Speaker 1: have a chance at the title. Otherwise you're just gonna
- 17:44Speaker 1: stay mid because you're drafting after nine in the first round.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Right, everyone's a project at that point.
- 17:52Speaker 7: It doesn't have the league go to the playoffs anyway
- 17:54Speaker 7: in the NBA, but it doesn't matter if you don't win,
- 17:56Speaker 7: it doesn't matter, like if you're not if you don't
- 17:59Speaker 7: have a shot at it, like be terrible, be Houston,
- 18:02Speaker 7: be Detroit, and look at Houston now NBA.
- 18:05Speaker 13: Yeah, Celtic's got Tatum and Jaylen Brown top three because
- 18:08Speaker 13: of that.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Yeah, hey rock Bottom, I.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Think the Steelers will be crazy to move Toman's awesome,
- 18:14Speaker 1: but and they're trying. Here's the thing. If they weren't
- 18:17Speaker 1: trying in the quarterback spot, I would go, maybe it
- 18:20Speaker 1: is time to move on. But they are trying because look,
- 18:23Speaker 1: they went and got Russ. Had to pay no money
- 18:25Speaker 1: for like a million bucks. It's it Denver's eating like
- 18:27Speaker 1: that money. Yeah, they wouldn't got Justin Fields, who's had
- 18:30Speaker 1: to play and that's played pretty well at times because
- 18:34Speaker 1: Russ is not playing that well, right, now.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 8: I mean, I wonder if they're gonna use justin fields
- 18:37Speaker 8: in this game coming up, maybe a couple of packages, but.
- 18:40Speaker 1: May package yeah, package yeah. I still think you don't
- 18:42Speaker 1: pull Russ now because it's the playoffs and he's won
- 18:44Speaker 1: a Super Bowl too, But I I like, I feel
- 18:48Speaker 1: with my team we have hit our ceiling. Cowboys Arkansas
- 18:53Speaker 1: got it like we're gonna be mid just slightly below
- 18:56Speaker 1: mid until something drastic happens, and that sucks. And I
- 19:01Speaker 1: like the coach. I like Sam Pittman as a person
- 19:03Speaker 1: a lot, and I think he's a really good offensive
- 19:05Speaker 1: line coach. He's been a fine head coach. But the
- 19:08Speaker 1: problem is in the SEC at Arkansas. That's two difficult things.
- 19:12Speaker 1: You're in the SEC, the biggest, strongest conference ever, So
- 19:14Speaker 1: if you don't have something extremely dynamic, you're already not
- 19:16Speaker 1: even with the big schools. You're not even to start
- 19:20Speaker 1: with the and we can list them all the LSUS,
- 19:24Speaker 1: the Georgia's, the Alabamas, and the I mean, look at
- 19:28Speaker 1: a team like Ole Miss who now is winning. That's
- 19:31Speaker 1: who we're the same with. And they went dynamic with
- 19:35Speaker 1: Lane Kiffin who's able to dynamically get Innil money because
- 19:41Speaker 1: people believe in him, so you need us even if
- 19:43Speaker 1: the splash misses hard. I'm much happier losing, trying really
- 19:48Speaker 1: hard and losing bad then being pretty good without a
- 19:53Speaker 1: real chance. I feel like now we don't have a
- 19:55Speaker 1: real chance at Arkansas to win ten games. We're gonna
- 19:59Speaker 1: win five six games. We want six games this year.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Playoff games or the Bowl game does an account because
- 20:03Speaker 1: everybod's playing half a team. But I think Pittsburgh is
- 20:07Speaker 1: not that. I think Pittsburgh if they get the quarterback situation, right,
- 20:10Speaker 1: I think they're really good. Again. Yeah, it's just the
- 20:13Speaker 1: hardest thing to do. And I think they had a
- 20:15Speaker 1: top pick that's great. But they're so well coached, they
- 20:18Speaker 1: have a great personnel. Just about everywhere else Pickens is nuts.
- 20:22Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, I think if.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Pickens had a quarterback though, that could slap some of
- 20:25Speaker 1: that nuts out of them. It would be different.
- 20:26Speaker 5: Yeah right.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I mean Randy Moss is nothing to play with Tom
- 20:29Speaker 1: Brady yep. And then you have to respect Tom Brady,
- 20:31Speaker 1: you don't. You know Antonio Brown was nuts until he
- 20:34Speaker 1: left the Patriots.
- 20:36Speaker 4: That was crazy.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Yeah, so ghos Steelers keep Tomlin, but don't go Steelers.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Hope you lose. They're probably gonna lose.
- 20:44Speaker 11: I think a ten point Yeah, nine and a half.
- 20:47Speaker 4: I feel like it's going to be closer than that.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Yeah, just because of those two teams. Yeah too, those
- 20:50Speaker 1: two teams do play, right.
- 20:52Speaker 4: I still think they lose, but yeah, and.
- 20:54Speaker 13: They're kind of Lamar's nemesis, Like I think he's lost
- 20:57Speaker 13: six of eight or something like that with them.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Whatever reason like that last one a few weeks ago.
- 21:01Speaker 1: It is the first rivalry, and professional sports rivalries are weird.
- 21:05Speaker 1: The fans can hate each other, but that is a rival.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Yeah, it is, and it's Hardball and Tom.
- 21:09Speaker 8: When they've been doing it now for like almost fifteen years,
- 21:12Speaker 8: it seems like right wild two thousands.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Yeah, the FLA Lewis Days thing. All right when you
- 21:18Speaker 1: hear this, because we're doing this Thursday afternoon. The Notre
- 21:23Speaker 1: Dame Penn State game happened already, so it's not like
- 21:25Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about that. But congrats and Notre Dame
- 21:28Speaker 1: for winning. Played great. How about Penn State? They won
- 21:31Speaker 1: then won one of the big ones. That's cool. Good
- 21:32Speaker 1: for them. We're not gonna edit either one of these
- 21:35Speaker 1: out either. We could we're not going to.
- 21:37Speaker 4: We can't be wrong.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we're just what what a game?
- 21:40Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 21:40Speaker 1: That's awesome?
- 21:41Speaker 11: Crazy.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I can't believe it's a blowout. Oh, I did not
- 21:44Speaker 1: expect that.
- 21:45Speaker 4: I saw that.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Who saw that coming? Wow? Wow? Okay, cool coming on
- 21:49Speaker 1: that one. And then tonight Ohio State of Texas. These
- 21:53Speaker 1: are the two teams I hate the most.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Of the four, so you won't watch.
- 21:57Speaker 5: No.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I hope Ohio State does go bt A on them,
- 22:02Speaker 1: like and I hope it's a belt that has like
- 22:05Speaker 1: shards of glass on it. Oh my goodness, they take
- 22:07Speaker 1: that bt A, they go belt and they just make Texas.
- 22:11Speaker 11: I didn't know what BTA meant.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Now I know, Yeah, you know what I mean. Belt
- 22:14Speaker 1: to Hey work, Mike Hey. Feeling Texas fan every time
- 22:20Speaker 1: somebody says that.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Now, I just want us to win more.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Like everybody's been saying that we're ready to get.
- 22:23Speaker 7: Rolled, and now I just believe that we have a chance,
- 22:26Speaker 7: just because everybody's saying we have no chance.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Let's go Arizona State. You got pretty lucky playing now,
- 22:33Speaker 1: let's be honest, not not a great team.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Lucky you played Scataboo.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Not a great team. A little bit but they had
- 22:41Speaker 1: what it took to one. Yours came through. Not a
- 22:43Speaker 1: great team. You shouldn't even been close like you should
- 22:45Speaker 1: have when when they did look at the five star
- 22:47Speaker 1: and four stars on each team, it was not even
- 22:49Speaker 1: a comparison with the two teams Week one. It's been
- 22:54Speaker 1: so long with the playffor I know Texas played mikel
- 22:59Speaker 1: text play we want not a good team, not a
- 23:02Speaker 1: good team. You're good about to play a good team,
- 23:05Speaker 1: really good and you know what, I guess I kind
- 23:07Speaker 1: of went either way because I hate Ohio State too,
- 23:09Speaker 1: but I just hate Texas.
- 23:10Speaker 6: More them to both lose.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Man.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I tried that. It didn't work. I tried that Texas Clemson.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it doesn't work.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I tried that. It didn't work. So Ohio State's only
- 23:20Speaker 1: a six point favorite. I thought it would be a
- 23:21Speaker 1: little more than that. But I guess because Texas actually
- 23:23Speaker 1: has really talented players and Sark is a great offensive mind. Yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 1: and if so we're coaching anywhere else, it'll be like, oh,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I like sorry, but he's running the Iraqi Army, so
- 23:33Speaker 1: it don't matter.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Who you are.
- 23:36Speaker 11: They got the dudes, but so did Oregon.
- 23:40Speaker 2: HM.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Ohio States got the dude.
- 23:41Speaker 11: Dude, like, we got so well two games in a row.
- 23:45Speaker 11: It's like, come on, there's no way.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Games like monster trucks demolishing the little cars that are
- 23:49Speaker 1: sitting there in the speedway. Two really good teams. That
- 23:52Speaker 1: organ game was over. I mean it was like the
- 23:54Speaker 1: game on. It's like it's the Homer Simpson gift Mike.
- 23:57Speaker 1: He walks in Grandpa Citizen. Yeah, it takes his hat off,
- 24:01Speaker 1: but that guy turns around, grabs it walks out. That
- 24:04Speaker 1: was Oregon in that game. As far as the NFL games,
- 24:10Speaker 1: and we can do this and set our parlay real quick.
- 24:12Speaker 1: And then we have Jeff Jarrett, which was awesome for me.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I'm a massive wrestling fan and Jeff Jarrett he Pro
- 24:19Speaker 1: Wrestling Hall of Famer, like still doing it. Okay, let's
- 24:23Speaker 1: do parlay here. We have to we have to parlay.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Man. We got it.
- 24:31Speaker 4: So sad have you been thinking about it?
- 24:33Speaker 5: We got it?
- 24:34Speaker 1: I just I like to go. I believe I'm gonna
- 24:37Speaker 1: win this game. I'm way down though.
- 24:40Speaker 4: By the way, are you warming up though?
- 24:41Speaker 6: No?
- 24:42Speaker 4: No, it's still cold, it's freezing. It's still in the freezer.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I'm excited to watch the games and not
- 24:47Speaker 1: bet because it's been so bad for me and I
- 24:49Speaker 1: don't I just don't want our listeners think. Oh, he
- 24:51Speaker 1: always says when he went no, no, I'm wait, I'm
- 24:54Speaker 1: losing terror at a terrible pace. Okay, pick one of
- 24:59Speaker 1: the games, Kevin, you can go what stands out? I mean,
- 25:05Speaker 1: let's just walk the line. Chargers minus three at the Texans,
- 25:08Speaker 1: Steelers at the Ravens. Ravens favorite Mine nine and a half,
- 25:11Speaker 1: broncos of Bills, Bill's eight and a half point favorite,
- 25:14Speaker 1: Packers at the Eagles, Eagles four and a half point favorite.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Commanders at Bucks Bucks minus three. So every home team
- 25:21Speaker 1: is favored except the Texans. The Texans are at home
- 25:24Speaker 1: and they're the dog. Take a stab.
- 25:29Speaker 11: Come on, Kevin, let me go the Steelers.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Mike.
- 25:32Speaker 1: If we do four, really put it up on the app.
- 25:34Speaker 5: I can see.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Okay, So you're gonna go Steelers plus.
- 25:37Speaker 11: Nine and a half plus nine and a half.
- 25:38Speaker 7: Yeah, stupid question. Can I take the Ravens and then
- 25:42Speaker 7: cancel that one out and then you picked two? Can
- 25:45Speaker 7: you do the opposite of the same, Parlan, I've never
- 25:48Speaker 7: done that.
- 25:49Speaker 1: You would lose the money, You lose the the what's
- 25:52Speaker 1: the in the parlay? You would lose because if you
- 25:54Speaker 1: miss any stupid Yeah, so he but he has taken
- 25:58Speaker 1: so you cannot take that game, Eddie. So he's got
- 26:01Speaker 1: Steelers plus nine and a half, and we'll try to
- 26:05Speaker 1: get this on DraftKings, Eddie, go ahead.
- 26:07Speaker 7: I think the Bills are gonna roll. I think the
- 26:09Speaker 7: Bills will have no problem taking on Denver and they
- 26:13Speaker 7: are favored by eight and a half.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Let's do it.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Bills eight and a half, Bills plus eight and a
- 26:17Speaker 4: half minus eight and a half.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Bills minus eight and a half. Yeah good,
- 26:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna get just go Bucks money line. It's this
- 26:24Speaker 1: good smallest spread. It's at home a coin flip that
- 26:28Speaker 1: one wins by a field goal, you know, like last
- 26:31Speaker 1: minute kick. So I go Bucks money line. That's three.
- 26:34Speaker 1: We need four, mic Yeah, I'll do four.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah?
- 26:40Speaker 1: Man. How about Eagles minus four and a half.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 26:43Speaker 1: How about it? Or just money line? What do you
- 26:45Speaker 1: think two? I'd say anything three over three? Take do
- 26:50Speaker 1: a spread.
- 26:50Speaker 5: Okay.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Three is close enough to feel like money and you're
- 26:53Speaker 1: not gonna lose too much. Yeah on the odds, all right,
- 26:55Speaker 1: Eagles minus I believe in them.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Maybe good goal.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Kind of so we have and would you text this
- 27:05Speaker 1: Kevin to to Eddie and I or whatever we do
- 27:08Speaker 1: just so I know instead of it like being what
- 27:11Speaker 1: do we beta? Steelers plus nine and a half, Bill's
- 27:18Speaker 1: minus eight and a half, Eagles minus four and a
- 27:21Speaker 1: half bucks money line?
- 27:24Speaker 4: Oh yeah, what do you think?
- 27:25Speaker 8: I was gonna say the Rams actually, because I think
- 27:28Speaker 8: the Vikings are a slight favorite, I would right.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Oh it's a Monday, yeah, got it, got it, got it?
- 27:34Speaker 2: So I hate that was my choice.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Hey do it a parlor and you have to wait
- 27:37Speaker 1: like a day. You didn't realize it when you bet it?
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yep?
- 27:40Speaker 4: No, you know what I did one time? I picked
- 27:41Speaker 4: one for the next week.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Because you like scrolled down and I think I've done
- 27:47Speaker 1: that too. I've done that, not in a party, just
- 27:49Speaker 1: a straight bet and I'm like, oh god, I gotta
- 27:50Speaker 1: wait till a whole week. If you want to take
- 27:52Speaker 1: the twenty five Whistles parlay, you can check out DraftKings
- 27:54Speaker 1: Sports book. Do it, we do it, We love it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Hopefully we're up on the app. If not, I don't know.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Do you run with this?
- 28:01Speaker 4: They want to run with this?
- 28:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna be the only one that misses. I'm so cold.
- 28:06Speaker 4: No, dude, I'm cold too.
- 28:06Speaker 11: I'm cold too. That like, honestly, since we're confessing here,
- 28:10Speaker 11: so everyone take.
- 28:11Speaker 2: The opposite of what wards.
- 28:12Speaker 7: But but you know what that means too. That means
- 28:13Speaker 7: that everyone's cold like us three can't be the only

- 28:31Speaker 1: I'll find everybody.
- 28:31Speaker 11: I still say that.

- 29:11Speaker 1: not so much today. I don't watch it every week.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Now some clips will come up, like I can't act
- 29:16Speaker 1: like I'm a big Roman Reigns fan. I know who
- 29:18Speaker 1: he is, No, not new, but he's like the biggest now,
- 29:23Speaker 1: like Cody Rhoads. Like absolutely I saw him, I'd be
- 29:26Speaker 1: like to Cody Roads. But I'm a massive wrestling fan,
- 29:30Speaker 1: like over the course of my life. And Jeff Jarrett, dude,
- 29:34Speaker 1: he's been around in so many like just decades, and
- 29:37Speaker 1: he's been champion here in WCW and AW and so
- 29:40Speaker 1: he came in here he is. He's in the Pro
- 29:43Speaker 1: Wrestling Hall of Fame. He's WWWE Hall of Fame. Jeff
- 29:46Speaker 1: jarreted he recently announced he signed his final contract, gonna
- 29:48Speaker 1: be hanging it up in the near future. He has
- 29:50Speaker 1: a big goal in mind for this year, and we
- 29:51Speaker 1: talk about that. He gave us some great insight we
- 29:53Speaker 1: talked called Cochin, which you could tell I won't put
- 29:55Speaker 1: words in his mouth, but you could tell he felt
- 29:57Speaker 1: very very similar to how I and I wasn't trying
- 30:01Speaker 1: to lure him into anything get clickbait. That you can
- 30:04Speaker 1: definitely tell that maybe Hulk wasn't his favorite guy either. Eddie,
- 30:08Speaker 1: what did you think of the interview? Just yeah, thoughts
- 30:11Speaker 1: before before we play that.
- 30:12Speaker 7: I mean, I thought that you truly enjoyed every minute
- 30:16Speaker 7: of this interview like me, Yeah, you just you loved
- 30:19Speaker 7: asking questions. When he would talk, you would just light
- 30:21Speaker 7: up and you have another question right after it. So
- 30:23Speaker 7: it's really cool to see you get lit up by
- 30:25Speaker 7: like an interview. Weird way to say it, but you
- 30:29Speaker 7: know what I mean, weird way to say it. Ye, yes,
- 30:33Speaker 7: here he is Jeff Jarrett. Great to see you again, man.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I watch first of all follow you on Instagram, So
- 30:39Speaker 1: I feel like I still like talk even though that's
- 30:41Speaker 1: a weird part of life where you see someone, but
- 30:43Speaker 1: also like I see all your like your a w
- 30:46Speaker 1: stuff because I'm a big wrestling fan.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Get out of here, my well, you are from Arkansas.
- 30:52Speaker 1: And you're not even kidding because that's what we had,
- 30:55Speaker 1: Like we would drive to Memphis as a young kid
- 30:57Speaker 1: and go to the Pyramid, you know, and do the
- 31:00Speaker 1: Mid South stuff. Like I caught the very back end
- 31:02Speaker 1: of the.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Von Erics, so I should know this. We're in Arkansas, so.
- 31:05Speaker 1: It's nearly it's a six hundred people small town.
- 31:08Speaker 2: In four hundred like Para, Gold Black Oak, all.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Schools we played in sports. Yeah, so I'm from a
- 31:13Speaker 1: town called Mountain Pine. We would never get a wrestling
- 31:15Speaker 1: but Hot Springs was big enough that occasionally.
- 31:19Speaker 2: So you're that toward Hot Springs, Yes, got it? Okay,
- 31:22Speaker 2: so what you really are?
- 31:23Speaker 1: Hell dude, we are hillbailing for sure. For sure. And
- 31:27Speaker 1: so yeah, so my TikTok is all like nineties of
- 31:30Speaker 1: two thousands wrestling, Like that's my algorithm that I'm on
- 31:33Speaker 1: because I watched so much of it. Oh boy, that
- 31:36Speaker 1: I followed your entire arc you know, of which arc exactly?
- 31:41Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. But they are like multiple versions.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I'm just let me start with now. Because I have
- 31:46Speaker 1: friends that played like professional sports, one who played professional
- 31:49Speaker 1: NFL for a long time, and I was like, man,
- 31:51Speaker 1: after every game does it hurt? And as a professional wrestler,
- 31:54Speaker 1: after every match, do you just know it's going to
- 31:56Speaker 1: hurt for a couple of days?
- 31:58Speaker 2: You know, Bobby, that is a really a loaded question,
- 32:02Speaker 2: because this may sound crazy at fifty seven years of age,
- 32:05Speaker 2: I wish I could wrestle more because the wrestling like
- 32:09Speaker 2: every three weeks or once a month, I know, for
- 32:12Speaker 2: the next forty eight seventy two hours, and I'm all
- 32:16Speaker 2: into the recovery and the cryo and saw no's and
- 32:20Speaker 2: all that kind of stuff. But there's just something about
- 32:23Speaker 2: the lactic acid build up and it's rough. I mean,
- 32:26Speaker 2: I hate to admit it, but it is really rough,
- 32:29Speaker 2: even one.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Off, because I feel like I work out hard, but
- 32:33Speaker 1: I do it hard three times a week, and even
- 32:37Speaker 1: my like to guess I'm older, it's old and so
- 32:40Speaker 1: I can't imagine going as hard as you're going. But
- 32:43Speaker 1: also once every three weeks, that's like doing bench press heavy.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Once every three you'd be so freaking sore. But doing
- 32:49Speaker 1: what you're doing with your full body, I would imagine
- 32:51Speaker 1: you're so sore or you've taken so many bumps that
- 32:55Speaker 1: it just kills your neck and back.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Well, just the sore it is.
- 32:58Speaker 3: But I.
- 33:00Speaker 2: It's funny since the last time we saw each other,
- 33:02Speaker 2: man my life is I guess you just sprinkled some
- 33:05Speaker 2: of that Bobby Bones gold dust on me. It's changed
- 33:07Speaker 2: so many ways. But you know, during the pandemic, we
- 33:11Speaker 2: were all shut in and all that, and I won't
- 33:13Speaker 2: say the word, but I got really sick and I
- 33:16Speaker 2: was down fit of my back for about two weeks.
- 33:19Speaker 2: And when I was laying there, I said, you know what,
- 33:21Speaker 2: I'm going to get in the best possible shape I
- 33:23Speaker 2: can when I get out of this bed. And I
- 33:26Speaker 2: really put my mind on it. So I've trained harder,
- 33:28Speaker 2: worked harder, not just with weights cardio flexibility.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Has that become more important to me?
- 33:34Speaker 10: I do you?
- 33:35Speaker 2: I have my streak still going, but I do yoga
- 33:38Speaker 2: every morning for the last seven years or six years.
- 33:41Speaker 1: However it is why what do you find about the
- 33:44Speaker 1: flexibility part of it?
- 33:45Speaker 2: I live by this my chiropractor. He's really applied kinesiologists.
- 33:50Speaker 2: He looked at me one day when I was on
- 33:51Speaker 2: the table and he said, if you want to live
- 33:52Speaker 2: a long life, live a long life. And then he
- 33:56Speaker 2: just meant me, he said, man, you got to increase
- 33:58Speaker 2: your flexibility. And there's a lot that goes with that.
- 34:00Speaker 2: But I have found that I am stronger, faster, feel better.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Not when you wrestle, you're still gonna have that soreness.
- 34:08Speaker 2: But but I do the stretching and the yoga and
- 34:12Speaker 2: the breathing and everything that goes with it, I do
- 34:15Speaker 2: feel a notice a little bit better. I have better energy.
- 34:19Speaker 2: You know. Another thing. During the pandemic, I got on
- 34:22Speaker 2: this here and said you got to get out of
- 34:23Speaker 2: this house. So that but I walked every afternoon for
- 34:26Speaker 2: like ninety minutes and before the sun will go down,
- 34:29Speaker 2: and I've kind of found just the movement. It just
- 34:33Speaker 2: really has helped me, not just physically, I think mentally
- 34:37Speaker 2: and emostally as well. Just a little quiet time with God,
- 34:40Speaker 2: if you will.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I think wrestling fans are great historians. I'm a mid
- 34:44Speaker 1: wrestling historian, but I think that there's a respect to
- 34:49Speaker 1: the wrestlers that have lived many lives for our enjoyment.
- 34:54Speaker 1: And you're one of those guys. Do you feel when
- 34:58Speaker 1: you go in and you your pop happens, or maybe
- 35:02Speaker 1: it's not, it's the reverse. Do you feel the wrestling
- 35:05Speaker 1: fan honoring you and other wrestlers that have been around
- 35:11Speaker 1: for twenty thirty years in a way that's never happened before.
- 35:16Speaker 2: So I'm not only a wrestling junkie, but I just
- 35:20Speaker 2: kind of like data and when you look at look,
- 35:22Speaker 2: I'm not comparing it, but you know, you look at
- 35:24Speaker 2: you two or the Stones or I'll call them all
- 35:27Speaker 2: the legacy acts, and just they keep on and they
- 35:30Speaker 2: keep on, and they keep on, and they're selling the
- 35:33Speaker 2: tickets and on that. And then when I go out
- 35:35Speaker 2: to your point and I hear the response a lot
- 35:40Speaker 2: of times, we'll call it that nostalgia pop because there
- 35:43Speaker 2: is so much going on in this world today and
- 35:46Speaker 2: our roster is almost two hundred deep. But when you
- 35:49Speaker 2: kind of look at at a graph in the amount
- 35:51Speaker 2: of times and the impressions, if you will, that I've
- 35:54Speaker 2: been on TV or you know, just been around people
- 35:58Speaker 2: know me, they like me, or they don't like me.
- 36:00Speaker 2: But yes, there is a response. And last summer I
- 36:04Speaker 2: did about a ten minute sit down interview that we
- 36:07Speaker 2: aired on YouTube, and I've had more people come up
- 36:10Speaker 2: because it was a historical piece, but also I touched
- 36:12Speaker 2: on Owen Hart and really got into that. And we
- 36:16Speaker 2: have a tournament at aw called the Owen Invitational. But
- 36:20Speaker 2: that was something that brought the fans that had never
- 36:23Speaker 2: heard of Jeff Jared or Owen Hart or whatever. It
- 36:25Speaker 2: just kind of brought them up, like, oh, this guy's
- 36:27Speaker 2: been around a while. So yes, the short answer to
- 36:30Speaker 2: your question, I told you how to build a watch
- 36:32Speaker 2: as opposed to what time it was.
- 36:34Speaker 1: But yes, I feel like even the young wrestlers are history.
- 36:38Speaker 1: You almost have to be knowledgeable in the history of wrestling.
- 36:42Speaker 1: It's almost like country music, or if you're a young
- 36:43Speaker 1: country music artist, you almost don't get the pass unless
- 36:47Speaker 1: you can prove that. You can't get across this part
- 36:48Speaker 1: of the bridge, unless you prove that you're an actual
- 36:50Speaker 1: fan and that you've spent your life valuing it. And
- 36:53Speaker 1: I feel like that with the young wrestlers, even towards
- 36:56Speaker 1: some of those guys like yourself in the nineties two thousands,
- 36:59Speaker 1: like that has to happen.
- 37:01Speaker 5: You know. What I have.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Observed is that the guys that really don't know the
- 37:06Speaker 2: history of wrestling, they're not around, you know, in three months,
- 37:10Speaker 2: six months, and nine months. They weed themselves out because
- 37:13Speaker 2: at the end of the day, what we do is
- 37:15Speaker 2: not easy and they're like, you know, I don't really
- 37:18Speaker 2: like this stuff, and they excuse them way out of
- 37:21Speaker 2: the business one way or another.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Can ask one one hard question, Oh, fire away, we
- 37:26Speaker 1: were watching that pay per view. You can't city, right,
- 37:30Speaker 1: did you at the time, Were you surprised they continued
- 37:34Speaker 1: the show?
- 37:35Speaker 2: Not at the time. I don't know if we talked
- 37:38Speaker 2: about this last time, but that was the one thing
- 37:40Speaker 2: when I went into recovery that I never processed at
- 37:44Speaker 2: all at the time. It was I hate to say it,
- 37:47Speaker 2: but it was work. And I've talked to his widow Martha,
- 37:49Speaker 2: and extensive conversations all that, but it was just we
- 37:54Speaker 2: were in a place that his match was on before me.
- 37:58Speaker 2: You know, the backstage stage manager came and said, hey,
- 38:01Speaker 2: Owen's going to the ring. You're up next. So I
- 38:03Speaker 2: had in my mind about eighteen fifteen, eighteen minutes and
- 38:08Speaker 2: like three minutes later they came said you're on now,
- 38:11Speaker 2: and I went did a promo and all that stuff
- 38:14Speaker 2: was going around. They wheeled his body right beside me
- 38:16Speaker 2: and I went to the ring. Did that came back?
- 38:18Speaker 2: Cop was there. I said, I want to go to
- 38:20Speaker 2: the hospital right now. But it was as I hate
- 38:23Speaker 2: to say this, but it was the reality and it
- 38:25Speaker 2: called up to me. It was, unfortunately, in my mind,
- 38:30Speaker 2: another day at work with a tragic accident.
- 38:33Speaker 1: The blood and the ring and afterward, it's easy to
- 38:37Speaker 1: look at it because I think I would have felt
- 38:39Speaker 1: the same as you as a performer, and there were
- 38:42Speaker 1: still a lot of questions, and until Jim Ross came
- 38:45Speaker 1: on later, I was like, and but again, you guys
- 38:47Speaker 1: are there on the ground. I definitely don't want to
- 38:48Speaker 1: make this in a heart thing, but I've been thinking
- 38:50Speaker 1: about this. I think I would have been the same.
- 38:52Speaker 1: I'd have been like, we go until we're told not
- 38:54Speaker 1: to go, and then we figured out after it's over.
- 38:57Speaker 2: No doubt I got in the ring. To this day,
- 39:00Speaker 2: I haven't watched that back, that match back for a
- 39:03Speaker 2: number of reasons. But I felt the top rope very
- 39:06Speaker 2: very loose, and I went over in the corner where
- 39:09Speaker 2: his body had fallen and there was and I can
- 39:11Speaker 2: talk about it now. For years I wouldn't talk about it,
- 39:14Speaker 2: but there was a dip in the ring. There was
- 39:15Speaker 2: no blood, and it was where his body had fallen.
- 39:19Speaker 2: And I just had a sense on okay in my
- 39:24Speaker 2: gut and I didn't process it and intellectually think it through,
- 39:28Speaker 2: but in my gut I was like, Okay, this is bad.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Did I invent the blood in the ring?
- 39:32Speaker 3: Up?
- 39:32Speaker 2: In my head? There was a little bit on the corner, Okay, Yeah,
- 39:35Speaker 2: there was some, but it wasn't.
- 39:37Speaker 1: In the ring where you're actually wrestling. Okay, got it.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Yeah, his head hit the top rope severed as a order, so.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Do you know the story? Yet he fell from the top.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Really it was on a wire and he came down.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Was he with the Blue Meanie or Blue Blazer?
- 39:53Speaker 3: So?
- 39:53Speaker 1: And it ended up being like the contraption from what
- 39:57Speaker 1: that I heard, the contraption's fault.
- 40:00Speaker 2: He was repel, supposed to repel in the ring and
- 40:03Speaker 2: the top feet in the air, repel into the ring,
- 40:06Speaker 2: let go of his harness, and then wrestle. He was
- 40:08Speaker 2: up top and the however, it released and he felt
- 40:13Speaker 2: eighty two feet to his death.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Wow, in the middle in the middle of the show,
- 40:16Speaker 1: Like did you know that, Kevin? No, yeah, you watched
- 40:19Speaker 1: that live zones. They didn't show. So we're watching the
- 40:21Speaker 1: pay per view and they didn't show it because the
- 40:24Speaker 1: camera the camera was just away and they came back.
- 40:26Speaker 2: He was just hanging up there ready to go on Q. Yeah,
- 40:30Speaker 2: T lower. So they were doing other on it things
- 40:32Speaker 2: like that.
- 40:33Speaker 1: So no, they didn't they didn't show. You didn't see
- 40:35Speaker 1: it happen. You just saw after and they kept going
- 40:38Speaker 1: and even watching it. But again, in my mind, I've
- 40:40Speaker 1: seen so many stories of what was happening at the
- 40:42Speaker 1: time that I think even my memory has been affected
- 40:45Speaker 1: by all the docus And but now you see like
- 40:49Speaker 1: people cutting promos live crying, not knowing because they but
- 40:53Speaker 1: they know what had happened. I don't understand that, but
- 40:55Speaker 1: I appreciate you answering that. Yeah, can I.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Give you a little ironic please do that? Please do
- 40:59Speaker 2: uh So, back in those days it was WWF and WCW.
- 41:03Speaker 2: That was the May pay per view of WWF the
- 41:07Speaker 2: May WCW payper Because I left WWF and went to WCW,
- 41:12Speaker 2: I was on that pay per view in a triple
- 41:15Speaker 2: cage and I had to climb sixty two feet up
- 41:18Speaker 2: the following year exact same building. The ironic part of
- 41:23Speaker 2: all that is it took me a long time, Bobby.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I bet, just because one, even if it's just your
- 41:30Speaker 1: friend or your coworker, but two, like you.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Were on right after Yeah, it was right after life.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Why what why are you still going? Because you're still
- 41:41Speaker 1: good too, Like why are you quitting? I have like
- 41:42Speaker 1: all these questions, like you shouldn't be as good, like
- 41:45Speaker 1: you still got it. It's crazy like, okay, why are
- 41:47Speaker 1: you still going? But also why are you quitting? Uh?
- 41:50Speaker 2: Well, let's just say this. I made the announcement every year. Literally,
- 41:55Speaker 2: this is my thirty seventh career year, and I did this.
- 41:58Speaker 2: I can't say I did it the first seven or
- 42:00Speaker 2: eight years, but my dad and me had a conversation
- 42:03Speaker 2: one year, and out of that conversation, I said, Okay,
- 42:06Speaker 2: every December, I'm going to re evaluate what it's going
- 42:09Speaker 2: to look like next year, kind of reflect How'm gonna
- 42:11Speaker 2: get better and what am I going to do moving forward?
- 42:13Speaker 2: And I've done that every year. Years ago, I started
- 42:16Speaker 2: a wrestling promotion called TNA, and one of the main
- 42:19Speaker 2: things about that, Bobby was, is that I wanted to
- 42:21Speaker 2: step out of the ring. You know, my grandmother said
- 42:23Speaker 2: you can wrestle, but don't wrestle, become a wrestler, basically
- 42:27Speaker 2: keep your business cap on. And then just kind of
- 42:31Speaker 2: all this has transpired and got myself in shape. Had
- 42:35Speaker 2: no idea what I'd been doing here today, but a yeah,
- 42:40Speaker 2: I mean, we did a thing with Rick Flair and
- 42:43Speaker 2: Rick Flair's last match and went through all that, and
- 42:46Speaker 2: that led to another thing. So Bobby I only by
- 42:49Speaker 2: the grace of God am I still going wrestling.
- 42:52Speaker 1: But I love it.
- 42:52Speaker 2: I will say that I have been really, really, really
- 42:56Speaker 2: lucky that I don't feel I've ever worked a day
- 42:59Speaker 2: in my life in a lot of ways. It's sure
- 43:01Speaker 2: there's a grind and there's a lot of travel, but
- 43:03Speaker 2: I absolutely love professional wrestling everything about it. I'm one
- 43:06Speaker 2: in five siblings. The other four had zero interest in it.
- 43:11Speaker 2: I got bit by the bug about two miles from here.
- 43:15Speaker 2: This is where I grew up, down by Overton High School,
- 43:17Speaker 2: and I just love professional wrestling everything about it.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Are you how much a part of your creative are
- 43:25Speaker 1: you now?
- 43:26Speaker 2: Very little? Very little? And that is That's been an adjustment,
- 43:32Speaker 2: good and bad because I don't have the responsibility. It
- 43:36Speaker 2: is a full time, NonStop juggling act. But I have
- 43:42Speaker 2: a little to know real input. I can little tweaks
- 43:45Speaker 2: here and there, but for the most part, it's not
- 43:47Speaker 2: my ball of wax.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Who in your career was good enough that you just
- 43:51Speaker 1: you could if you had to just call the match
- 43:53Speaker 1: the entire time in the ring like you got to do,
- 43:55Speaker 1: Oh who was that good? Where you felt or you
- 43:58Speaker 1: had the chemistry with them?
- 44:00Speaker 2: Shoot, I could go down the list. I'm you know
- 44:03Speaker 2: Jerry Lawler. We wrestled many sixty minute broadways and he
- 44:06Speaker 2: wouldn't talk to me before we went out there, which
- 44:09Speaker 2: was kind of amazing to me. Shawn Michael's Kurt Angle.
- 44:13Speaker 2: There's several guys that it's just when you have the
- 44:19Speaker 2: ability to kind of have a vision where you want
- 44:21Speaker 2: to go, and you know your opponent's strengths and weaknesses
- 44:25Speaker 2: and play to the strengths and diminish the weaknesses. There's
- 44:28Speaker 2: several guys that you could do that with.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Any of the guys ever protect you and you protect
- 44:33Speaker 1: them because you knew somebody was hurt during the match
- 44:35Speaker 1: and you communicated it and it's like my right shoulder,
- 44:37Speaker 1: So then you continued to have the match, but you
- 44:40Speaker 1: just made sure to stay on the left shoulder, et cetera.
- 44:42Speaker 2: You kind of always do that. That goes without saying yeah,
- 44:46Speaker 2: when you said protect. I can remember breaking into the business.
- 44:52Speaker 2: A wrestler came in who had a hair transplant. You
- 44:55Speaker 2: had to protect that. Don't touch my hair. Don't touch
- 44:57Speaker 2: my hair. But no, that goes with saying you it's
- 45:01Speaker 2: it's a it's a grind, so you have to be
- 45:03Speaker 2: aware of the health of your opponent.
- 45:06Speaker 1: A couple of the bigger guys in my life that
- 45:11Speaker 1: apparently work pretty stiff, And I imagine if someone works stiff,
- 45:16Speaker 1: you probably have to stiff back so you don't get hurt.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Is that how that would work? Like like Goldberg apparently
- 45:20Speaker 1: was stiff because he was like he didn't life to
- 45:23Speaker 1: come up. He was just he didn't know how to wrestle. Yeah,
- 45:25Speaker 1: And they say that a lot about Ultimate Warrior, And
- 45:27Speaker 1: I never wrestled either one of them, so I don't
- 45:29Speaker 1: know how stiff they are or how when you would
- 45:31Speaker 1: wrestle somebody that was stiff, how would you how would
- 45:36Speaker 1: you do the dance?
- 45:37Speaker 2: So this may be getting to get in the weeds.
- 45:42Speaker 2: I think there's a difference between between stiff and reckless.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Stiff you just work snug, you lay it in. I'm
- 45:51Speaker 2: a huge fan of that. We understand what we signed
- 45:54Speaker 2: up for, so get in there and don't don't make
- 45:59Speaker 2: everything so light. So stiff is one thing. A guy
- 46:02Speaker 2: who's reckless, the guy that might not have a skill set,
- 46:06Speaker 2: might not have two left feet. If you will, you've
- 46:09Speaker 2: got to be completely well aware of what's going on,
- 46:14Speaker 2: and you just can't put yourself in a position to
- 46:17Speaker 2: be hurt. You know, I've had several old timers, guys
- 46:21Speaker 2: that would come up to me and say, yeah, I
- 46:23Speaker 2: know why you're around. You wouldn't do a B and
- 46:26Speaker 2: C whatever the dump crap is. And I think there
- 46:29Speaker 2: is some validity to that that you have to be
- 46:32Speaker 2: really aware that don't give yourself. Don't give your body
- 46:36Speaker 2: to a guy that might not be mean spirited but
- 46:39Speaker 2: certainly doesn't know how to take care of you. And
- 46:41Speaker 2: then hey man, you're not eating the next week, you're
- 46:44Speaker 2: not earning a paycheck, So that's incumbent upon me.
- 46:47Speaker 1: What about moves like the DDT or a pile driver
- 46:51Speaker 1: that is heavy neck if gone wrong, are there specific
- 46:56Speaker 1: guys that you were like, I trust them fully if
- 46:58Speaker 1: they're going to pile drive or ddtmy and you can
- 47:00Speaker 1: said the one you trust, you don't have say anything
- 47:01Speaker 1: about the ones you don't. But is that a thing,
- 47:03Speaker 1: because again, those go wrong, that's real bad.
- 47:08Speaker 2: So and you know we're gonna really get in the
- 47:10Speaker 2: weeds the different moves. But you got to just know
- 47:13Speaker 2: how to protect yourself.
- 47:14Speaker 1: So it's on you. If you're getting pile drive, you
- 47:16Speaker 1: got to do the thing, you.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Better know how to protect yourself. Yes, without question, it's
- 47:21Speaker 2: you know, now, there's all kinds of new moves and
- 47:23Speaker 2: getting thrown and flips and that kind of stuff, and
- 47:27Speaker 2: sometimes guys put themselves in a position that you know,
- 47:32Speaker 2: dang well, it's there is a high risk of injury
- 47:35Speaker 2: and they still do it. I just don't think that's smart.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Especially for anny longevity. That's why I quite wrestling guys.
- 47:42Speaker 1: There we go. I was just like, I don't want
- 47:43Speaker 1: to do it once because.
- 47:44Speaker 4: I'll die.
- 47:45Speaker 1: If like if we like a guy like I could
- 47:49Speaker 1: Cactus shack mankind, Mick Foley, whatever, who like. I don't
- 47:53Speaker 1: know how good of an athlete he was, because he
- 47:55Speaker 1: didn't look like an athlete, But my assumption is he
- 47:57Speaker 1: had to be a great athlete to last that long
- 48:01Speaker 1: and also live through some of the risks he took.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Was he an great athlete.
- 48:08Speaker 2: He's a good athlete. He wrestled amateur, but you know,
- 48:11Speaker 2: and we could probably go down a list of guys.
- 48:13Speaker 2: But a guy like mcfoley, he had a passion, almost
- 48:19Speaker 2: to a detriment. I tell him that to his face,
- 48:21Speaker 2: that he didn't mind sacrificing his physical health and gave
- 48:27Speaker 2: it to the fans. Look it, we're talking about him today,
- 48:31Speaker 2: falling off a cage and all kinds of stuff.
- 48:33Speaker 1: That's what I think of under the Undertaker, you know,
- 48:35Speaker 1: falling excuse me, you know, falling through jumping off.
- 48:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and I just think he has to because he
- 48:42Speaker 1: didn't look it. But that's part of his gimmick, right,
- 48:45Speaker 1: even in mister Soccker, like all the things he did,
- 48:47Speaker 1: he had so much around him, but always I mean,
- 48:49Speaker 1: he must be a great athlete to be able to
- 48:52Speaker 1: live through this many things.
- 48:53Speaker 2: He had a desire to perform like none other. You know,
- 48:58Speaker 2: he feels it to this day. You see him walk
- 48:59Speaker 2: around today. He you know, he doesn't get around as
- 49:02Speaker 2: good as a I'll say a sixty year old man.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Should sounds like a former NFL player. And guys that
- 49:09Speaker 1: we know, they're like, oh, man, like, it's hard for
- 49:11Speaker 1: me to even get up in the morning because of that.
- 49:15Speaker 1: When you wore pants, because you you were never you
- 49:18Speaker 1: mostly weren't tights. Guy, you had pants for a lot
- 49:20Speaker 1: of long tights. Yeah, it was all tights forever, like
- 49:26Speaker 1: you know we tights. Yeah, it was weird, the short tights. Yeah,
- 49:30Speaker 1: and I wear short biker shorts now yeah, but again,
- 49:33Speaker 1: but you had pants, you have a whole long yes,
- 49:35Speaker 1: for a long time. But like all those guys from
- 49:37Speaker 1: like early Teddy b Aussi, Bruno, San Martino, they all
- 49:40Speaker 1: had like these gimmicks and then they would just be
- 49:42Speaker 1: like just in tights, and I was when you started
- 49:46Speaker 1: to wear pants. Was that uncommon that people were wearing
- 49:49Speaker 1: things other than just the tights the very beginning of pants.
- 49:51Speaker 2: So the easy analogy was, you know, prior to cable television,
- 49:56Speaker 2: they were territory wrestling and it was truly called professional
- 50:00Speaker 2: whi and it was a mindset. Well, guy named Vince
- 50:03Speaker 2: McMahon came along and said, I'm going to turn this
- 50:05Speaker 2: into sports entertainment, and you kind of look at the
- 50:08Speaker 2: transition and look, in the early eighties there were long,
- 50:10Speaker 2: tight guys, but it was you wear long tights or
- 50:13Speaker 2: short tights, but all the costuming and persona and yes,
- 50:16Speaker 2: gorgeous George and the real hardcore wrestling fans going to
- 50:19Speaker 2: say no, they were doing this and that. But the
- 50:21Speaker 2: business really radically changed in the mid eighties when Haulclemania
- 50:26Speaker 2: came along and you saw talent, you saw wrestlers on
- 50:30Speaker 2: lunchboxes because of the licensing. And so when the licensing
- 50:33Speaker 2: came along, that's when the real define costuming and personas
- 50:38Speaker 2: and all that changed.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Who was your favorite wrestler as a kid?
- 50:41Speaker 2: Lawlor Savage and that My original og was the fabulous
- 50:46Speaker 2: Jackie Farco. I was mesmerized not just by his strut
- 50:50Speaker 2: but his demeanor.
- 50:52Speaker 5: You know, he.
- 50:54Speaker 2: His promo skills if you will, he would just sit
- 50:57Speaker 2: there and talk and make you laugh. They didn't make
- 51:00Speaker 2: you cry. And then at the end of his promo
- 51:02Speaker 2: he would be very calm and cool and just say
- 51:06Speaker 2: I'm coming down the coliseum to kick your ass. And
- 51:09Speaker 2: I believed it. It was his delivery.
- 51:11Speaker 10: Uh.
- 51:12Speaker 2: He was a really good actor that you wouldn't ever
- 51:16Speaker 2: want to call Jackie an actor. He called himself a
- 51:18Speaker 2: professional wrestler. But his delivery was so believable.
- 51:21Speaker 1: When did you get in the zone with promos? Because
- 51:23Speaker 1: you're great, You're one of the best ever. But were
- 51:25Speaker 1: you all? I'm assuming you weren't alway, because I wasn't.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Always I was terrible. Yeah. When do a podcast drops
- 51:30Speaker 2: new every New my World my shirt on every Tuesday,
- 51:33Speaker 2: they just we just recently played my very first promo
- 51:36Speaker 2: I wasn't just bad, Bobby, I was horrible. But I
- 51:41Speaker 2: tell you what, the reps that I got WMC TV
- 51:45Speaker 2: and Memphis TV every Saturday morning at ten am going
- 51:48Speaker 2: out and do that that you just got it reps
- 51:50Speaker 2: and reps and reps. So it just took me a while.
- 51:53Speaker 2: And then when I went to the WWF in nineteen
- 51:56Speaker 2: ninety three, it's the first time that I'd really been
- 51:58Speaker 2: produced by someone other than my father, and that that
- 52:02Speaker 2: was a difficult relationship to the years with my father,
- 52:04Speaker 2: just because he's my dad, but he's also he was
- 52:07Speaker 2: harder on me than anybody, and he did that by design.
- 52:10Speaker 2: But when Vince started producing me and brought things out
- 52:13Speaker 2: of me. And I tell guys today, man, find somebody
- 52:17Speaker 2: that you like, but they need to produce you don't
- 52:20Speaker 2: produce yourself.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Who as a peer was a great promo.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Man there. So I mean Lawler comes to mind right
- 52:31Speaker 2: up top, Mick Foley, really really good Stone Cold had
- 52:36Speaker 2: had had his stick down. If you want really really
- 52:41Speaker 2: good the rock of course, I tell you what you give.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Rode Dog Jesse James, Brian James. His father was Bullet
- 52:48Speaker 2: Bob Armstrong, so he's a second generation Brian was one
- 52:51Speaker 2: of those guys like Fargo. He could make you laugh,
- 52:53Speaker 2: he could make you cry, and then he could deliver
- 52:56Speaker 2: very very very very believable former marine, so he knew
- 53:00Speaker 2: how to yell.
- 53:01Speaker 1: The road Dog was awesome.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Oh it fat.
- 53:04Speaker 1: He did his own. He did his own too, like
- 53:06Speaker 1: coming out, Yeah, wrestling, I was watching any it's all
- 53:11Speaker 1: my algorithm. It's crazy what that, like the late nineties
- 53:15Speaker 1: would allow a wwf.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it's well, yeah, you've been canceled. We've
- 53:20Speaker 2: been canceled a lot.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Crazy, I know, to look back and see some of that.
- 53:24Speaker 1: There was one where Triple H was eating a hot
- 53:27Speaker 1: dog at a table and he's looking down and then
- 53:30Speaker 1: he's like, oh yeah, and then afterwards this girl just
- 53:32Speaker 1: climbs out from under the table like that was kind
- 53:34Speaker 1: of just as wild. But I'm like twelve, and I'm like, yeah,
- 53:39Speaker 1: I'm talking about exactly a different world.
- 53:42Speaker 2: And cable television was a different world.
- 53:44Speaker 3: You know.
- 53:45Speaker 2: There wasn't four or five hundred channels and certainly not
- 53:48Speaker 2: YouTube and streaming all that. It was still truly cable television.
- 53:53Speaker 2: The numbers when you just kind of look at everything,
- 53:55Speaker 2: it was, uh, it was a fun time to be
- 53:57Speaker 2: alive in so many ways, But what exposure. Everybody watched
- 54:01Speaker 2: it back then?
- 54:02Speaker 1: Hey, well, especially when you're Hillbillies, like it was our
- 54:04Speaker 1: there you go, yeah, it was our sports.
- 54:06Speaker 2: You didn't want to care about Titans and preads and
- 54:08Speaker 2: football and basketball. That's that highbrow stuff.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Now we wanted to go to Memphis and watch Junkyard
- 54:13Speaker 1: Dog exactly because it was you know, did you watch
- 54:16Speaker 1: Iron Claw b any chance?
- 54:18Speaker 2: You know what I did on a plane. It was
- 54:19Speaker 2: about a while after it came out, but I did.
- 54:22Speaker 1: What did you think about it? The movie versus what
- 54:25Speaker 1: the reality?
- 54:26Speaker 2: So my father in nineteen eighty eight went out there. Yeah,
- 54:29Speaker 2: my dad was right on the end of the movie.
- 54:32Speaker 2: And so I lived those tragedies. And I get it,
- 54:36Speaker 2: it's Hollywood. They did it for their own reasons. But
- 54:40Speaker 2: for me personally, That's why I don't want to sound like, oh,
- 54:42Speaker 2: he's negge about this movie. But when I watched it,
- 54:45Speaker 2: my experience was I could not remove the real life
- 54:50Speaker 2: mentality of the Mints. Just unbelievable tragedy, and like Chris
- 54:55Speaker 2: wasn't even in the movie, and he was, you know,
- 54:58Speaker 2: it took his life, but wasn't even mentioned. And I
- 55:01Speaker 2: know they have their reasons and all that, but so
- 55:04Speaker 2: for a movie, I get it. You know, I'm certainly
- 55:08Speaker 2: not a movie critic by any stretch of the imagination,
- 55:11Speaker 2: but it was you know, on the one hand, I'm
- 55:14Speaker 2: glad they kind of in a way celebrated that story.
- 55:18Speaker 2: But the real life story is much much, much more
- 55:21Speaker 2: tragic than the movie.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Which it is often the other way around is what's crazy?
- 55:27Speaker 3: Is it?
- 55:28Speaker 1: And I think hopefully because I did this too, and
- 55:30Speaker 1: again I caught the tail end because Carrie was killing
- 55:33Speaker 1: it mid South when I was young and we'd drive over.
- 55:37Speaker 1: But hopefully people watch the movie and then like googled
- 55:41Speaker 1: and then like red for real, because that's what I
- 55:44Speaker 1: did again, and it was like, oh yeah, I forgot
- 55:46Speaker 1: about all this, and I missed the older Von Eric's right.
- 55:48Speaker 1: I wasn't old enough to see the older brothers. Are you,
- 55:53Speaker 1: I mean, are you sad it's coming to an end?
- 55:55Speaker 1: Or do you feel like you're going to come out
- 55:56Speaker 1: of retirement for the fourth time like the Stones?
- 55:57Speaker 2: No, Look, that's that's the thing. I was really back
- 56:01Speaker 2: to the situation that you know, this time in our business.
- 56:06Speaker 2: Just last week in Ashville, we did a show called
- 56:08Speaker 2: Fight for the following but it was Dynamite and it
- 56:10Speaker 2: was our first ever streaming episode. WW just premiered on Netflix.
- 56:16Speaker 2: You know, we're on Max and so the business as
- 56:19Speaker 2: a whole is really transforming into it's going to the
- 56:22Speaker 2: next level. We just talked about the golden age of
- 56:26Speaker 2: cable television. I've been lucky enough by the greatest guy
- 56:30Speaker 2: to be around. Here's the next ride, and so as
- 56:33Speaker 2: a part of me signing my final contract, I just
- 56:36Speaker 2: kind of put that out there, because look, I'm not
- 56:41Speaker 2: riding off into the sunset. I'll be around in professional wrestling,
- 56:44Speaker 2: but as far as an entering career, I just kind
- 56:46Speaker 2: of made up my mind that Okay, this is it.
- 56:49Speaker 2: But I think I've also incentivized myself because I want
- 56:53Speaker 2: one last shot at gold. I want to go out
- 56:56Speaker 2: with a bang somehow someway and then be done with it.
- 57:00Speaker 2: But I'm not ready as I sit here today to
- 57:02Speaker 2: be done with it at all.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Did you watch any of the WWE on Netflix. Yeah,
- 57:08Speaker 1: Hogan got booed hard.
- 57:10Speaker 2: And I did not see that.
- 57:12Speaker 1: I was surprised. Now, why only because it was such
- 57:15Speaker 1: a celebration of wrestling now, but also they had heroes
- 57:22Speaker 1: as well, and I was surprised because again, wrestling fans
- 57:27Speaker 1: are such historians. I was surprised they didn't just cheer
- 57:31Speaker 1: for the character, and they didn't. They booed the person,
- 57:35Speaker 1: And well, why did they boo the person anything? I
- 57:39Speaker 1: don't I don't know your friendship. So I'm just gonna
- 57:40Speaker 1: say this. I don't think o Cookan is a good dude.
- 57:42Speaker 1: And so I feel like, was it a political boo?
- 57:47Speaker 2: Was it?
- 57:47Speaker 14: No?
- 57:47Speaker 1: Because Undertaker got a pop, big pop an. Undertaker came
- 57:49Speaker 1: out and sport Trump, So that eliminated the political thing immediately,
- 57:53Speaker 1: because I was like, let's not make this p I
- 57:54Speaker 1: don't want.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Okay, I'm That's why I'm curious. So it was lends.
- 58:00Speaker 3: It was not to me.
- 58:01Speaker 1: It was not political because Undertaker and Kane both sat
- 58:03Speaker 1: with Donald Trump and said we are saying vote for
- 58:06Speaker 1: Donald Trump. Hogan obviously he was make America great again.
- 58:10Speaker 1: It was not political. People respect the Undertaker as a
- 58:14Speaker 1: wrestler and a person. People don't respect Holkogan anymore. It
- 58:18Speaker 1: just it's one thing after the other. Yeah, And I
- 58:21Speaker 1: think because of that, people now know there was a
- 58:23Speaker 1: story about Holcogin that I was going to talk about
- 58:25Speaker 1: on our show this morning, where this fan said, hey,
- 58:28Speaker 1: I saved up and gave hul Cogan this four thousand
- 58:30Speaker 1: dollars belt as a gift because it was like my hero.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Hulk signed it in auction, it sold it, hello and
- 58:37Speaker 1: sold it and sold it. So I think, yea, and
- 58:40Speaker 1: when there's one hundred of those things, I think those
- 58:43Speaker 1: people are cheering against that human. It was not political, Okay,
- 58:46Speaker 1: they would have treated Undertaker the same way. Wow, that's
- 58:49Speaker 1: my thoughts.
- 58:50Speaker 2: So I had a lot going on at my house
- 58:52Speaker 2: last night. I watched the first hour and a half
- 58:53Speaker 2: two hours. I did not see that segment. I saw
- 58:56Speaker 2: the very end of the last match. So you the
- 59:00Speaker 2: first conversation I've had, and that is that the whole
- 59:05Speaker 2: Undertaker which you laid out for me, is interesting, but
- 59:10Speaker 2: it also, I guess to me, it jumps off of
- 59:14Speaker 2: the page. At the wrestling fan, there has been such
- 59:18Speaker 2: a stereotype, Oh my whole life, Oh you like wrestling,
- 59:21Speaker 2: You're a bunch of low brow entertainment, blah blah blah
- 59:25Speaker 2: blah blah. And at the end of the day, I've
- 59:27Speaker 2: always believed this professional wrestling fans are pop culture. Sometimes
- 59:32Speaker 2: we've been in front of the car, maybe sometimes not.
- 59:35Speaker 2: But you look in political circles, it's a wrestling promo.
- 59:41Speaker 2: You look at all the belts and all the you know,
- 59:45Speaker 2: there's so much to me. There's a lot of professional
- 59:46Speaker 2: wrestling in touchdown dances and celebrations and all kinds of things.
- 59:51Speaker 2: But the wrestling fan is so easy to understand that
- 59:55Speaker 2: I have a you they put groceries on my table
- 59:58Speaker 2: for three generations. But I have a lot respect for
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: the wrestling fans because they will tell you what they
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: like and what they don't like, sometimes more importantly, and.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I feel like they're educated, yes, And I feel like
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: they're so educated, myself being one, and that they still
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: enjoy it knowing what a shoot is, oh knowing it's always.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: Been irrelevant, but whether it's real or not. And that's
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: where the for those that.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Believe that all saying, those that believe no explanations needed,
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: those who don't believe no explanation will do about fresh wrestling.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: It's the true fan could have they could care less.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: They want to be entertained. But to your point, Hogan
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: didn't didn't pass the sniff test last night.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: It was embarrassing and they let him know it.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: That's where I respect the wrestling fan, like, okay, and
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: I'm assuming they were selling the beer right.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: On his shirt. He came out with a shirt. So
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: he comes out and he's like brother, and I was
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: not expecting them to do and I'm like, wow, they're
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: doing And so he has his beer on his shirt
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and he ends up doing the shirt rip and it's
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: like Netflix, and that part I got. But he also
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: felt like a shill because he was just coming out
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: to sell his beer and how do you come out
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: in a whole Comania shirt? I think maybe slightly different,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: But even then, again, I was surprised that they just
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: didn't cheer the character, but they booed the human that's
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: a wrestling fan. And yes, and it wasn't political again
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: because like that they went undertake, they went crazy. I
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: love that the motorcycle around the ring because it was like,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: you know, American BA Undertaker motorcycle, not you know, death
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: motor you know, not dead not dead Bear. Yeah, that
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: kind of thing.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: But the where was Oh the world we live in now?
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Just the evolution of the business. I mean, I love
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: your beautiful new studios and I've heard you got a
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: sports podcast. This may be on this just how things
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: have continued to transform. That's wrestling. It's a on Netflix.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Who would have ever been out? We're all max every
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: week now globally. It's it's amazing where wrestling is going.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: It's so pop culture that this interview I'll be able
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: to play it. It'll be on a podcast, it'll be
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: on the radio show, and different parts of it are
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: appealing to different people for different reasons. So you know,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: we've done forty minutes here and I'll take three, four, five,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: six minutes and put it on the national broadcast radio show.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I'll put forty minutes of it as a podcast. It'll
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: be twenty different two minute clips. Amazing, it's every because
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: that's I mean wrestling is that now?
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: And you're right the Belts like every football team has
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: the championship bell like interception. I mean it is.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Our president is in the ww Hall of Fame. I
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: say that tongue and cheap, but it is. I'm going
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: back to the wrestling fan and pop culture and where
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: our industry's at. And you know, I tell guys, hey, man,
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: if you want to really get good at it, you
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: go to YouTube and start watching because you have that ability.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Like you say it, two minute clips, three minute clips.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Wrestling's everywhere.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Before we conclude, who's like an awesome dude a famous wrestler,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: there's like awesome dude. Give me like three awesome dudes
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: that I want to be happy. I like cheer that
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I like, he says Hulk. Well, that's why I said
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: to it. I was like, I'm a little different. I
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: just wanted to give my opinion before I even knew.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: But yes, who are like awesome dudes?
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you're gonna put me on the spot here,
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Brian Danielson, he knew Daniel Daniel.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Brian is how you may know it newer version? Yes,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: got it now?
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that guy assalted earth and just I can't tell
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: you how genuine he loves the business anyway. You don't
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: want me to go into all the characteristics. But Brian, oh,
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: you're gonna see what about back in the day man?
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: So many different characters, remember dutch Man tel I do.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: That's that's back back in the day. That's way back
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: in the day.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: I look at him as one of my mentors, but
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: he was a guy and I was a promoter's kid,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: but he took the time. He's very well read. He
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: taught me a lot, really, and when he didn't have.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: To eighties Dutch Motil nineties give me nineties. Like a
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: good dude that.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: We know, a good dude, you know what, yokozuna really
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Yoko h I got in there ninety three ninety four
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: one day, one night after a show. He said, who
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: you riding with? And I said, well, I got to
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: get to the airport to rent a car. He said,
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: now you're with me, and so I rode with him
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: for a while and the salt of the earth. But
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: I mean a gentle giant.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: When he would you know, he'd stick his butt in
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: your head and he did flash.
- 1:04:26Speaker 9: You know, that's Rakishi, Yoko. He wouldn't follow, Yeah, he
- 1:04:31Speaker 9: was yeah, he would do yes, you know, but whatever
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: you call the whole a because he was like Sumo exactly,
- 1:04:37Speaker 9: that's him.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: That's him.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Would he like pull the punch, like do you when
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: you do that and you're that big? Can you pull
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: that punch a little bit?
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: His athletic ability was second to none. You know, Roban
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: rains Rakishi, the USO's it's all rocks, a part of
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: that family. But to me, Yoko's athletic ability was he
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: he was incredible because he knew how to take care
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: of you. But his he looks so vicious. Oh yeah,
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: I mean he was great.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: It's huge.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: There are four people and before I know, do whatever
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: you do, I would do this. I'd like, I want
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: to go to dinner sometime and I would love to.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: This is like my favorite things.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Ok Ahead, Owen Hart and I just cannot tell you
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: and people he was at River and a practical joker
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: and all this. But man, I was always amazed because
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: growing up in a wrestling family like myself, it's just
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: it were just kind of whack jobs. No, it's just
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: a different upbringing. Owen same thing. He's one of ten
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: kids and all that. But man, you talk about having
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: your head on straight, Owen to me is at the
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: top of that list.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: There are like four celebrities and I've been very fortunate
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: in my career to either have interviewed anybody ever want
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: to interview or do show or just like have relationships.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: And there's like four on my list that I've never
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: been able to get at. One of them is the
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: baseball player Mark Grace, number seventeen, for the Cup. My
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: favorite player growing up. Another one is David Letterman, like
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: my hero, right, David Letterman was my hero. I saw
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: somebody from I'm from the South but he's from Middle
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: America who looked a little odd. I was an odd kid.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: I was like, Oh, if he can do it. So
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: I have these people in my life that are the
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: white whale that one of them of the four is
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: a wrestler, no way, and I can't get him to
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: save my life. And you, I think you know. I
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: don't know if you guys are friends or not. It's
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: what what is Sting?
- 1:06:31Speaker 14: Like?
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Oh wow, dude, I've tried to get I've been like,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: let me interview you. I'll come to you. I wrote
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: about him in my first book because no, I don't
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: know what's Steve or Sting or whatever, like he will
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: not acknowledge my existence and it may and it makes
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: me sad. Jeff where scoobat he who knows what?
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: I'll work my deal with him.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I don't want you to pay me, but he'll pay me, okay, deal?
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, I'm kidding. Do you mind?
- 1:06:59Speaker 10: What I like?
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Sting is a person? Absolutely you would that's my He's
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: my favorite.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: Would you mind if I put out feelers to him?
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Are you doing whatever you want? I've tagged him, We've
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: like reached out to.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: The past and and again, would you just say you
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: would go to him?
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Absolutely? I wrote about him in my first book when
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: I talk about influences that made me want and Sting
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: was one of them, And so I was like, he's
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: my list of people I have never met that I've
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: been trying so hard to get to. Wow, And that's
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: what I'd like.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: To tell you. Consider it none. But I've got to
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: find out.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Why what I like him? You can Maybe I wouldn't
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: like him, you would.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: He's authentic, really authentic. Uh what a you know California
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: kid that you know played basketball and then got in
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: the gym And yeah, well you maybe you don't so.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: At what we didn't. You didn't ask a question. You
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: asked a question in your head and then answered it
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: before you said the words.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Maybe he doesn't know the connection between the jareds and Sting?
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Who me, you I do not know that?
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Okay? Yeah, so.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Do you call him Sting or Steve? What do you say?
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Because we called Lunchbox Lunchbox all the time when he.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Walks in the door for wrestling. Stinger, what are we
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: doing tonight? Got it on the phone, Hey, Steve, maybe
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: a little sick both. But so there were four guys
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: called the Power Team that were trained out in California.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: They were all just in the gym.
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: The way Stein got into it, he went to a
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: show at La Arena and saw Julkomane and said, yeah,
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: I kind of give this a shot. So there were
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: four guys called Power Team USA that they sent out
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: their feelers to all kinds of promoters across the country.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: That's how I used to do it, black and white,
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: eight by tens. My dad got the photos and said,
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: holy smokes, these guys look great, called them, got Jim
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: Helwig on the phone, who was Warrior and Sting. Back
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: in those days they had landlines and thing picked up
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: the other phone, and my dad said, hey, I'd love
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: for you guys to come in, but I can only
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: take two. I can't take all four. And they're both like,
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: and I'm getting this story, it's kind of close, so
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: I think they were. But anyway, my dad said, I'll
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: take this one and I'll take this one, and it
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: was Sting and Warrior. So Thanksgiving Day nineteen eighty five
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: in Hendersonville, Tennessee. You know, on Thanksgiven days back in
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: the day, I hear a knock at the door and
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: I could look down over the balcony from a second story,
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: looked down the front door. Opened the door, and I
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: was on kind of the landing. My dad open the door,
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: and that's the first time ever laid dies. I was
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: a junior in high school and Sting drove cross country
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: and he started wrestling for my dad in nineteen eighty five.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: That's a guy's that really cool story.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: And it's yeah, and I say all that to say
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: that at T and A Sting we called in a
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: favor him and my father. He came and worked for
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: us when we were literally a startup. Then he came
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: on later full time when we got up and run it.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: But uh yeah, me and him go back to nineteen
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: eighty five, you know.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: And two final things. The face paint is the greatest
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: thing to conceal age for anybody because when he would
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: come out even still and he's in black and he's
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: got the paint number two spray t hey, I can
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: say that too from my when I have to freaking
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: get on TV all the time. That span is a plus.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I gotta have it. But yeah, I know the face
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: paint for or masks, yep, you know mysterio. You know
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: I haven't Matt because you never get older, you know.
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: It's uh, yes, what do you like about Sting? Like
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: why do you like him so much?
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Blonde Sting was my introduction really oh oh oh yeah
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: by far Blondsting back in the day day yep. So
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Blonde Sting was like my introduction into wrestling. And then
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: that's kind of when I started to play sports and
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: so like I would wrestle like with other dude, this
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: is weird to say we would like wrestle, And I
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: was like, oh, I can kind of play sports a
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: little bit. And see was my favorite stort like emulate him,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: which then kind of gave me confidence to play other sports.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: So it's kind of that. It's a weird. It's a
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: stupid story. It's like a loser story. Like I was
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: rusting other boys and I'm like, I can use but
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Steing was like the guy I would like do is
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: because anybody could do the Scorpions flash or the death
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Law all that. So that's why I love story. No, yeah,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I'm lame. No, I'm so lame. I'm so lame. Final question,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: people will ask you to record a video or a picture.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Does anyone ever want you to hit them with a
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: real guitar? And You're like, I can't. I'm not gonna
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: hit you with the real guitar really hard.
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: I'm asked that more than you real imagine. Yes, and
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: I'm reluctant. I'm not on cameo, but yeah, people want
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: me to hit him with the guitars or do this
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: or do that. Yeah, I did a thing last summer
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: a reverend. He's a young preacher.
- 1:11:55Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: For the baby reveal, we put blue and pink, Yes,
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: and I hit somebody over the guitar.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: But I had to be a guitar. It's our guitar
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: that was crafted enough to fall apart easily. But I'm
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: saying I would imagine idiots would be like, hit me
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: with this guitar and it's a really and that it hurts.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I mean, that's like, that's a whole different ball game.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: I was over in London and a guy, I'm like,
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: I'm not hitting you with that. He says, here's money.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: I said, I'm not doing that. He said all right,
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: here's more money. I said, dude, this won't break. It's
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: going to knock you out. Please hit me with it. Okay,
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: But I never.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Did follow real Jeff Jared on Instagram as I do
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: appromote your podcast.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: My World with Jeff Jarrett drops every Tuesday morning doing that.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: You know, I told the guy, my partner, Conrad Thompson, no,
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: for about two and a half years, I said, nobody
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: wants to listen to my stories, and he goes, trust me.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: I'm very excited that I did it. And we've been
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: going about two and a half three years and record
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: just recorded yesterday, and you know, we talk a little
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: bit of stuff for the first twenty thirty minutes and
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: then we get into a wrestling story, whether it's a
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: pay per view or specific wrestler, a timeframe, all kinds
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: of different topics, but it's a blast.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: And then we're gonna find out because you're next to
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: the last match as we're live as tomorrow, so it's
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: going to be yesterday when you're next to last night,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: we're having one more match. You're not saying what it is?
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: Oh no, no, no no.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: I signed a I re signed last month December and
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: it's and I'm not going to give you the term
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: of it, but it's more than a year.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Okay. Okay, you said promoting final match after this, so okay.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: No, I'm what I said last week in Ashville, Bobby was,
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: I've signed my final talent contract and won't get into
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: terms and all that kind of stuff, but this is
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: the final one. But as far as signing it, I've
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: made a goal. In twenty twenty five, I'm gonna win
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: aw gold. It may happen this month, it may happen
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: in December, but this year. You know, that's a fifty
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: seven year old man win an a your gold does
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: not happen, and I'm a fan and I'm gonna try
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: to make it happen.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: I really had to happen.
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna really, I really am. I mean, I think
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: it's just crazy enough. And it was based off because
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: my wife was like, are you sure you want to resign?
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: And I got five kids and they were like, Dad,
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: you're gonna hang this up at some point. You know,
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: my oldest is twenty eight. And I'm like, okay, and
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: I've heard this for a couple of years and I
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: just kind of said, Okay, this is the final contract.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: But I use the old analogy that my father told
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: taught me that his grandfather taught him and said, Hey,
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: if you ever want to climb a tree, don't get
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: under the tree and figure out how you're going to
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: get to the first branch, get away from it. Figure
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: out how you're going to climb to the top, and
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: you'll have the most success in life. So if I
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: don't get eight of your gold, I'm still trying to
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: get it. I'm gonna have a ton of fun. I
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: don't want to just pick up a check. If that
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: makes sense, I'm going for it all.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: I'm a massive fan. I love when you come by.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: I appreciate you having me.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna have scuba giving myself one number two. You
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: live here, I follow you. We should be friends because
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: I would love to. I would, and.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Believe me, I am going to work.
- 1:15:05Speaker 12: I am.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: If you knew that was when and when you said that,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I'm like, what, YEA, I will fly if he I
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: will fly to him. We will set up we I've
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: tried so many times, and I don't want to put
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: the burden on you to do that. I just he
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: because some people are like I don't know if you guys.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Would love you, tell that he would because look, he's
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: he's been around and dealt with. We won't leave names,
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: but you know clickbaiters. Yea, hey there, and Sting has
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: a storied career, but what can will he not Hogan?
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: Will he not a B and C D wrestler? And
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: and Sting is just he's not, I mean in real
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: life but obviously in professional life. But in real life
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: he ain't about that at all.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: He is because I ain't either. I ain't about that either.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I get my opinions. But well, Jeff, thank you man,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: and thank you. I like to hang out with you
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: in real life someday. And I don't ever say that to.
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: Anybody, but I think I think we've me. He doesn't
- 1:16:00Speaker 7: say that anything anybody, No, never, nobody.
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: I don't.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: Hey, you know what I heard that he does something
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: with baseball's Oh yeah, did you sign it all for us?
- 1:16:08Speaker 6: No?
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: But since when you spoke last time, I'm involved in
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: uh wood bat It's it's minor league baseball, it's the
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: college kids. So I'm a part of ownership group up
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: in Springfieldlinois of what team of what was Springfield Lucky
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Horseshoes is the name of the team, the wood Bat League.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: And then we just acquired our second club over in Quincy, Illinois,
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: but in the baseball world. So when the folks out
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: there said, hey, you got to sign a baseball and
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: instead right.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: On, that's news since I was last time entrepreneurs, have.
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: I told you?
- 1:16:35Speaker 10: No?
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: I just told the story out there. You don't remember
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: the gift y'all kick lunchbox out that week filled it's awesome,
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: ye okay. So in my office at home, I've got
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: I remember giving Yes, I remember, would you give me?
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: Do you remember?
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: It was goofy.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: It was like, okay, yeah, what a conversation base And
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: I'd tell it, are we over time you're were wed?
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: No time you can, I would say, for two hours
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: with you. I want to keep you.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: So tell the story, but real quick. So I've got
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: belts and all kinds of memorabilia of Jeff. I got
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: a Jeff Hardy painting and a couple of different things.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: But over on one of my guitars, I have the
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: action figure and it's signed. He signed it for me.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: You don't remember this.
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: I don't remember it.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: Now, okay. But in twenty eighteen, I'd just done the
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Hall of Fame and I'd gone back and down on
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: one off. But there's a guy named Elias arrest of Elias,
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: and you signed the figure. And so people will come
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: in the office. I have a business meeting, and the
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: look around and that's cool, Jeff, and look at that
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: collect the cup, and then they'll look at me and go,
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: what's the deal with Elias figure? My man, Bobby Bowe,
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: whole thing on social You your entrepreneurship is second to nine.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Well, thank you for coming in. I hope we didn't
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: keep you too long. Let's get him. Let's get the belt.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Get the belt and bring it in.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: Oh that's my bucket.
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: And Sting you the man, Jeff, you are the man.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: Oh no, I'm working on Stinger.
- 1:18:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: You guys follow go listen to Jeff podcast. Will put
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: in the show notes for you guys to go and
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: search for it and love that you're here and hope

- 1:19:19Speaker 1: I announce this week I signed a deal with the
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: NFL and the first two episodes are out. It's called
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: Lots to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle. Mattcastle
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: played for Kevin's team, the Patriots. He got famous because
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: he had to fill in for Brady the whole season,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: one of thirteen games. I think he didn't make playoffs.
- 1:19:34Speaker 13: Yeah, and the crazy part is, fifteen years whatever it
- 1:19:37Speaker 13: is later, he's probably the best quarterback we've had besides Brady.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 1:19:40Speaker 11: Do you think about that?
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: Eleven and five right?
- 1:19:42Speaker 12: Yea?
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: Whoever he was?
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: Did he win eleven games or thirty? Yeah?
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: I think because they didn't make the playoffs, like the
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: thing the Dolphins.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: The Dolphins, and that made him famous because it wasn't
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: his play although he did play pretty well, but that
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: he was the one that had to go on for
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Tom Brady Game one of that season.
- 1:19:58Speaker 11: After the undefeated season.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: The year after, well almost undefeated, didn't go totally.
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: There was that game.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Yeah you didn't get Yeah, you don't remember that one.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: So it's uh, Matt and myself and we've had a
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: couple of great guests. We had Kurt Warner on Hall
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: of Fame quarterback wasn't drafted. I think I forget that
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: sometimes he seems like a cool guy too. It was awesome.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: I mean they made a movie about him.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: Yeah he did, and you know, your big time American underdog, so.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: It's called I watched it. I thought it was a
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: little corny, little Hollywood. I don't mind Hollywood, little lifetime
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: ass that's what it was. I did like it, but
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: it was that movie wasn't made for It wasn't like
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Friday Night Lights for the hardcore football given Sunday. It
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: was made for somebody who doesn't spend every Sunday dedicated
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: and dial dent. And I think it was a great
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: movie for who it was made for. When you're a
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: hardcore sports fan and you're like, well, that didn't only happened.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: That never happens like that. But that's only if somebody's
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: watching sports all the time. So when I say corny,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: like to me, us would have been like, that doesn't
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: quite happen. That's biopics with music does us all the
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: time too, Like the Queen One little corny, but he
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: was good, But you're like, they didn't quite happen like that,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: And for timing reasons, they had to get famous real quick.
- 1:21:14Speaker 14: But it is.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: My wife really liked it. It's a good movie. Really yeah,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: check it out. And so we were talking about playoffs,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: and for me it was the Lion's offensive coordinator. He's
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: gonna be a head coach and it's got to be
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: weird to know you got to put a staff together
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: right now as you're also trying to win a NFL title.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: So we talked about that and what type of mentality
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: routine he had going to the playoffs.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: So here he is. This is us.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: It's five minutes of us talking with Kurt Warner. Talk
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: about the human nature part of this. Like Ben Johnson,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: offensive coordinator with the Lions, who's you know, didn't head
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: coach last year. He said, I want to stay. I
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: believe in the offense. I'm gonna stay with Detroit. Great decision.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: He's killing it. He's gonna have whatever job probably he wants. However,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: these jobs are open right now. Interviewing right now, he's
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: not interviewing because he's but still, you're a human, and
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: it's like that's got to be on your mind as
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: well as you enter. And I looked a few minutes ago,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: the Lines are favored to win the Super Bowl. They're
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: the number one team right now as far as like
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: the odds, Like that's the human part of That's got
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: to be difficult for somebody, right, I.
- 1:22:18Speaker 12: Would I would think so like I don't really know,
- 1:22:21Speaker 12: you know, especially when you know you are. We use
- 1:22:24Speaker 12: Ben Johnson as that example. It's like you've never been
- 1:22:27Speaker 12: a head coach, So this is like your moment, your opportunity.
- 1:22:31Speaker 12: You got to be ready for these interviews. You've got
- 1:22:34Speaker 12: to be thinking like, Okay, if the season's over and
- 1:22:37Speaker 12: I get one of these jobs, like who's going to
- 1:22:39Speaker 12: be on my staff? Who am I going to take?
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: Like yeah, and then all of that while.
- 1:22:44Speaker 12: Whatever your normal schedule is to prepare and create and
- 1:22:48Speaker 12: build a game plan. I mean, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:22:52Speaker 12: I don't know how you balance it. I mean, you
- 1:22:54Speaker 12: know we always said as players too, like you know,
- 1:22:57Speaker 12: family was kind of that other side of it, talking
- 1:23:00Speaker 12: about Ben Johnson a head coaching spot and is current
- 1:23:03Speaker 12: like for us it was or for me it was
- 1:23:05Speaker 12: the family, Like Okay, so this is the amount of
- 1:23:07Speaker 12: time I'm going to spend, you know, preparing for football,
- 1:23:10Speaker 12: and then I need to shut that off and try
- 1:23:13Speaker 12: to you know, be a dad or a husband or
- 1:23:16Speaker 12: or focus on family over here and it was really
- 1:23:20Speaker 12: hard to do. You know, it was hard to you know,
- 1:23:23Speaker 12: for those things not to get all mixed together and
- 1:23:26Speaker 12: me thinking about football when I should be at home,
- 1:23:28Speaker 12: or me thinking about you know, family and something that
- 1:23:30Speaker 12: was going on when I should be at football and
- 1:23:32Speaker 12: balancing that out.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: So I would have to.
- 1:23:35Speaker 12: Think that would be a huge I mean, I don't
- 1:23:37Speaker 12: think you can, you know, if if somebody's calling me
- 1:23:39Speaker 12: today and going to do a you know, head coaching
- 1:23:42Speaker 12: intergy interview with me today while we're getting ready for
- 1:23:45Speaker 12: a playoff game a week and a half from now. Yeah,
- 1:23:48Speaker 12: I mean I think you're fully focused on, Okay, how
- 1:23:50Speaker 12: do I get this head coaching job? You know, what
- 1:23:52Speaker 12: do I need to do and how do I have
- 1:23:53Speaker 12: everything in place? And your current team has to take
- 1:23:57Speaker 12: a little bit of a back seat in that regard.
- 1:23:59Speaker 12: So figuring out that balance I think has to be key.
- 1:24:02Speaker 12: But I think you're one hund percent right. Human nature
- 1:24:05Speaker 12: is going to say, Okay, I'm going to lean towards
- 1:24:08Speaker 12: you know, I'm going to have to lean into both
- 1:24:11Speaker 12: of them and probably take some time away from you know,
- 1:24:15Speaker 12: the current task at hand for the future task at hand.
- 1:24:18Speaker 14: You played in a lot of these playoff games, and
- 1:24:20Speaker 14: we are having this discussion before, but Bobby was asking me,
- 1:24:25Speaker 14: how does it change going into playoffs, like your mentality
- 1:24:29Speaker 14: and you know that the intensity goes up tenfold. But
- 1:24:33Speaker 14: were you one of those players that had a specific
- 1:24:35Speaker 14: routine and tried to stick to that routine not make
- 1:24:38Speaker 14: it bigger than it was? Were you also one of
- 1:24:40Speaker 14: those quarterbacks? Look, I hated that feeling I used to
- 1:24:43Speaker 14: get before the game. I always got those knots in
- 1:24:45Speaker 14: my stomach. Oh, would overanalyze, do all those But once
- 1:24:48Speaker 14: you got out on the field, you get hit for
- 1:24:50Speaker 14: the first time and you start to process and you go, hey,
- 1:24:52Speaker 14: this is just football. I got to be reactionary, rely
- 1:24:55Speaker 14: on my preparation what I need to do. But what
- 1:24:58Speaker 14: type of mentality do you have going into these type
- 1:25:00Speaker 14: of weeks?
- 1:25:01Speaker 12: Yeah, playoffs was different, And so I was one of
- 1:25:05Speaker 12: those guys that was really good at focusing. And so
- 1:25:08Speaker 12: my kids still joke to this day, like, you know,
- 1:25:11Speaker 12: even if I'm if I'm sending you a text, Matt,
- 1:25:13Speaker 12: and my kids are in the room with me and
- 1:25:15Speaker 12: they're like, dad, dad, Dad, I don't hear them because, like,
- 1:25:19Speaker 12: I'm focused on what I'm trying to say to you
- 1:25:21Speaker 12: in the text, and I just tune out all the
- 1:25:24Speaker 12: other noise and they're like, Dad, we're trying to get
- 1:25:25Speaker 12: your attention, Like all you're doing is texting. But I
- 1:25:28Speaker 12: had an uncanny ability to focus, which obviously a lot
- 1:25:32Speaker 12: of guys at our level in sicily playing quarterback with
- 1:25:34Speaker 12: seventy thousand people, you know, have that ability to focus.
- 1:25:38Speaker 12: But during you know, the normal week, it would come
- 1:25:41Speaker 12: about three thirty four o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and
- 1:25:44Speaker 12: my wife would be like, all right.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: He's in the zone.
- 1:25:48Speaker 12: Go to the hotel, go to your room, like get you, Like,
- 1:25:51Speaker 12: no reason for you to be around anymore, because you're
- 1:25:53Speaker 12: you're a different guy. When I got into the playoffs,
- 1:25:57Speaker 12: it was always like I had to tell my wife, Okay, honey,
- 1:25:59Speaker 12: I know in the past, you've given me twenty four
- 1:26:02Speaker 12: hours forty eight hours. Now I need four weeks. Like
- 1:26:06Speaker 12: I'm not going to be a good dad, I'm not
- 1:26:08Speaker 12: going to be a good husband. I am locking in
- 1:26:10Speaker 12: for the next four weeks and it's going to be
- 1:26:12Speaker 12: all football, and it's all focused on trying to win
- 1:26:14Speaker 12: a championship and then we can celebrate and go on
- 1:26:17Speaker 12: trips and do that afterwards. But it was really that
- 1:26:20Speaker 12: kind of change for me, Matt, where it was like
- 1:26:23Speaker 12: I could never get it off my mind and I
- 1:26:26Speaker 12: didn't really want to, like I didn't want to separate
- 1:26:29Speaker 12: it at that point, Like I knew it was all
- 1:26:31Speaker 12: about the regular Season's great, but the regular season was
- 1:26:34Speaker 12: just setting me up to have a chance to win
- 1:26:35Speaker 12: it all. So once we got into the playoffs, that
- 1:26:39Speaker 12: was it. Like everything else is gone, everything else is
- 1:26:42Speaker 12: pushed out. I'm sorry, but this is my focus. And
- 1:26:47Speaker 12: you know, and just like we were talking about the
- 1:26:48Speaker 12: split focus and bound, I wasn't even looking to balance anymore.
- 1:26:53Speaker 12: My mindset was, Okay, we're playing Sunday. I am not
- 1:26:57Speaker 12: taking a minute off in terms of my prep so
- 1:27:00Speaker 12: I can be the best that I can be on Sunday.
- 1:27:03Speaker 12: And you know, obviously my mindset was, I want to
- 1:27:05Speaker 12: do it for four weeks because it's going to end
- 1:27:07Speaker 12: up by us being in the Super Bowl and hopefully
- 1:27:09Speaker 12: winning it.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: So thanks to Kurt, listen to the full interview in
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: the full episode, it's called Lots to Say. And in
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: the second episode we had Tim McGraw, big sports fan,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: cool guy. Matt told a story about San timagaw work
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: out in the weight room when Matt was with the Chiefs.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: He walks into mcgrals in there.
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: Really.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we talked to LSU and how they feed Tim
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: scores while he's doing a show. Here's a few minutes
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: of Tim McGraw with myself and Matt Castle on our podcast.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: Lots to say.
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: I've actually been to one of your concerts.
- 1:27:34Speaker 14: I was in Kansas City and I remember I was
- 1:27:36Speaker 14: down in the facility one day and it's before the
- 1:27:39Speaker 14: day of the concert, and I walked down I think
- 1:27:41Speaker 14: it might have been a Saturday or something like that,
- 1:27:44Speaker 14: and you're in the weight room getting after it, I mean,
- 1:27:47Speaker 14: and so I walk in. I just see this guy
- 1:27:49Speaker 14: and he's ripped up. He's got his cutoff shirt. I
- 1:27:52Speaker 14: think you were wearing a bandana on your head. And
- 1:27:54Speaker 14: I asked, I asked my strength the conditioning coach. I said, hey, coach,
- 1:27:58Speaker 14: who is that? He's like, dude, that's Tim. He's getting
- 1:28:00Speaker 14: after it. I was like, I can see that. I mean,
- 1:28:03Speaker 14: is that something that you do on tour? Is that
- 1:28:05Speaker 14: something that just because I know obviously you're always in
- 1:28:08Speaker 14: shape every time I've ever seen you, But is it
- 1:28:10Speaker 14: something you go around and anytime you can get a
- 1:28:13Speaker 14: workout in, you do.
- 1:28:14Speaker 15: Yeah, that's part of the routine every day. Yeah, and
- 1:28:17Speaker 15: most of the band guys too. It's just part of
- 1:28:19Speaker 15: our everyday routine. And it's been that way for gosh,
- 1:28:22Speaker 15: fifteen years now. We don't feel the same if we
- 1:28:24Speaker 15: don't get a workout in during the day. And we
- 1:28:26Speaker 15: have a gym that travels with us, and it looks
- 1:28:28Speaker 15: like a prison yard out but we have ropes and
- 1:28:33Speaker 15: chains and tires and everything outside the bus, and so
- 1:28:36Speaker 15: we get in two or three workouts a.
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: Day when we're on the road.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: All right, let's get it.
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: Let's get this.
- 1:28:40Speaker 15: Say it keeps us out of trouble.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: Put it for a lot of reasons.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it feels time, all right, and here on the
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: road there's a lot of freaking time. Okay, we're gonna
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: get personal here and see how you feel about this
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: last season. LSU Brian Kelly, I don't know. A lot
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: of people have lot of stuff to say, Tim, what
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: do you gotta say?
- 1:28:57Speaker 15: I don't know, man, Look, that's just such a tough
- 1:29:00Speaker 15: gig anymore to coach college players, I think with all
- 1:29:04Speaker 15: the new money coming in and these guys don't list
- 1:29:07Speaker 15: I don't want to put anybody down. I'm not trying
- 1:29:09Speaker 15: to say that college players don't listen, because I don't
- 1:29:11Speaker 15: know them that well. But I can imagine trying to
- 1:29:14Speaker 15: be a college coach where you used to have a
- 1:29:15Speaker 15: complete control and everybody doing exactly what you say and
- 1:29:18Speaker 15: when you say to do it how you say to
- 1:29:20Speaker 15: do it, and then you got these guys now that
- 1:29:22Speaker 15: are not that I'm against them being able to eat
- 1:29:25Speaker 15: and make money. It's not that I'm four or against
- 1:29:28Speaker 15: any of that stuff. It just seems like it makes
- 1:29:30Speaker 15: the job of coaching tougher in that environment, because it's
- 1:29:33Speaker 15: tough enough in the NFL when you're dealing with grown
- 1:29:35Speaker 15: men with careers and making business decisions every day about
- 1:29:39Speaker 15: their career and how long they're going to be around
- 1:29:40Speaker 15: and the things they're going to do, and what's good
- 1:29:42Speaker 15: for them, what's good for the body, what's good for
- 1:29:43Speaker 15: the team, That calculus and that alchemy that all comes
- 1:29:46Speaker 15: into effect. I just think that it makes it really
- 1:29:49Speaker 15: tough to coach college football these days, and it takes
- 1:29:54Speaker 15: a really strong personality to go in there and do that.
- 1:29:57Speaker 15: Brian Kelly's a great coach now, who knows if his
- 1:30:00Speaker 15: style is going to work with a team like LSU
- 1:30:02Speaker 15: or not.
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: It is wild. I wouldn't want to be a coach
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: right now.
- 1:30:05Speaker 14: In college football with the NIL the transfer portal, you're
- 1:30:08Speaker 14: you have to recruit people you go into and I
- 1:30:10Speaker 14: I mean in the transfer portal to recruit more guys
- 1:30:12Speaker 14: that come in. But in addition to that, you got
- 1:30:14Speaker 14: to recruit your own players. Every single year, these guys
- 1:30:17Speaker 14: come in and say, hey, coach, look, if you want
- 1:30:19Speaker 14: me for the ball game, I'm gonna I'm gonna.
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: Need another two hundred grand. You know, like that's that's
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: the nature of the beast now.
- 1:30:25Speaker 15: Right, And then how do you do that as a coach,
- 1:30:27Speaker 15: and how do you how do you do that as
- 1:30:29Speaker 15: a coach, and how do you do as as an
- 1:30:30Speaker 15: organization and a coaching organization and still be able to
- 1:30:34Speaker 15: let later your game plan down. Put these guys in
- 1:30:36Speaker 15: a position to win, put these guys in the right
- 1:30:38Speaker 15: mindset to win, make these guys play as a team.
- 1:30:41Speaker 15: It's just tough all the way around. And look there,
- 1:30:45Speaker 15: it's people are going to evolve with it. Coaches are
- 1:30:48Speaker 15: going to evolve with it. The coaches are going to
- 1:30:50Speaker 15: learn how to do it in a different way, I'm sure,
- 1:30:52Speaker 15: but but there is a curve that's going.
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: On right now.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: I don't want to reveal the great Mighty Oz. So
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: if this's the secret that you don't feel like sharing,
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: I'll start. If I'm doing a stand up show to
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: theater or even in my television contracts, if Arkansas is
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: playing football and I am working, or if it's a
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: night game, I'll have a small screen and on a
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: monitor I will have And because I can't watch a
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: game recorded, it doesn't exist. A recorded game I cannot
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: go to afterward because I can't it's on my phone everywhere,
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: So I will have a monitor at all times so
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: I can watch the game. If there is a big
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: LSU game team and you were on stage, how are
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: you getting information fed to you through my ears?
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: Through my inner monitors?
- 1:31:32Speaker 15: My guy Heath on the side is always telling me
- 1:31:34Speaker 15: to score. And he also used to do that when
- 1:31:36Speaker 15: my kids were in high school and one of my
- 1:31:39Speaker 15: daughters was a cheerleader, so we went to all the
- 1:31:41Speaker 15: high school games and we were really invested in Amsworth
- 1:31:43Speaker 15: High school football, so we tailgated and all that stuff.
- 1:31:46Speaker 15: So when I was when I happened to be on
- 1:31:47Speaker 15: stage and there was a game going on. I was
- 1:31:49Speaker 15: getting fed scores right in the middle of songs. So
- 1:31:51Speaker 15: if I dropped the word.
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: Because I'm happy about the score.
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: Do you have an NFL team as well?
- 1:31:59Speaker 14: I mean, I've obviously your ties to Nashville, maybe the Titans,
- 1:32:02Speaker 14: but I don't know.
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: I mean, who's your who's your NFF.
- 1:32:04Speaker 15: I root for the Titans, of course, because of being
- 1:32:06Speaker 15: in Nashville and I and I root for for the
- 1:32:09Speaker 15: Eagles because I have two brothers that live in Philly
- 1:32:12Speaker 15: and my of course, my dad played ball in Philly
- 1:32:14Speaker 15: and spend a lot of time there, and I grew
- 1:32:16Speaker 15: up in Louisiana, so I'm still a Saints fan at
- 1:32:18Speaker 15: heart as well.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: This will always be my baby, this one right here. Yeah,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: this is it. But I bet it's pretty cool to
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: say you signed a sign a deal with the NFL.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: That's my favorite thing to say. Ever, it's my favorite
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: thing to say.
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: It's pretty cool, dude. I would be telling everyone sign
- 1:32:33Speaker 7: the NFL and then leave it like that, Yeah, walk
- 1:32:37Speaker 7: away doing what. Don't worry about what we think? Why
- 1:32:41Speaker 7: do people why why do people sign with the NFL.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: You tell me so, yeah, check out lots to say
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: if you don't mind, and yeah, pretty cool. Okay, before
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: we go, who's the upset? Give me the upset that wins,
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: even if you don't believe one really will if you
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: have to be an upset to win.
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: We're talking both sports, college and the NFL.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: No, I won't do college.
- 1:33:04Speaker 4: It's just the NFL, right, you know what, Jimmy an
- 1:33:06Speaker 4: upset and anything in general?
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: Yeah, don't you can't do the game last night though,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: right right?
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: Or that's cheating because they both.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: Won and lost.
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that is Schrodinger's cat.
- 1:33:16Speaker 11: Okay, cool, I'm gonna go Texans.
- 1:33:19Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean I'm gonna go Steelers just because I
- 1:33:21Speaker 8: feel like, I don't know, everyone's been talking down on them.
- 1:33:23Speaker 8: I feel like they could they could rise up.
- 1:33:26Speaker 4: Is that an upset?
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: Nine?
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: They're a nine point dog, they're probably.
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: Far less set.
- 1:33:29Speaker 4: Oh okay, so they win it, okay.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, say scenario with it. So you're saying Texans
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: beat the Charger.
- 1:33:35Speaker 11: Yeah, I think that's pretty much a coin flip. You
- 1:33:37Speaker 11: don't really know.
- 1:33:38Speaker 13: I mean, the Texans aren't playing very well right now,
- 1:33:40Speaker 13: but they're still at home and they can beat the.
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: Chargers, and they always play three thirty on Saturday. They
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: kind of make them play crazy. It's like twenty eleven,
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: Wildcar versus Bengal, Saturday, three thirty. Wildcard versus Bengals twenty
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: twelve Saturday three thirty, twenty fifteen, Waldcar versus Chief Saturday
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: three thirty. Wildcard versus Raiders Saturday three thirty, twenty sixteen,
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, Waldcar versus Cold Saturday three twenty nineteen, Walkcard
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: versus Bill Saturday three thirty, twenty twenty three, Walkcard versus
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: Brown Saturday three thirty, twenty twenty four, Wildcard versus Chargers Saturday,
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: three thirty.
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: Wow, shout out Houston.
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: I have no NFL has no respect for it. Houston
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: television bedtime slot.
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: Did you find that like yourself or do you see
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: that somewhere Mike?
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: I oh, Kevin had given me all. I knew they
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: played a bunch of three thirty games, but Kevin gave
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: me the whole list all the way. All that's crazy, Yeah, crazy,
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: Eddie A man, I.
- 1:34:26Speaker 7: Feel bad even thinking this because I'm going against our parlay,
- 1:34:29Speaker 7: but I feel like the Packers could probably beat the Eagles.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: They did it last year. I think that's one, and
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: can I do another one? So you get one?
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: Okay, Packers, that's the one. That's the one.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with Texas to beat Ohio State.
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: I see what you're doing now, Yes, I see, I see.
- 1:34:54Speaker 7: I'm packing Texas there for Suggara when yours yours is
- 1:34:57Speaker 7: going casey ketches on quick.
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: They're only a six point dog. They got the athletes.
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: You know, Ohio State's gonna see these guys come out
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: of the tunnel and be like that bar orange looks tough.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: We're playing them, Oh exactly. So my underdog to absolutely win.
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: I bet at all Texas man, but the house, Yeah,
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: let's go. There's no way that's going to happen, trust me.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: Let's go. Horns spelled w h O r n eh.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: What's up?
- 1:35:32Speaker 4: Nothing nailed it?
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: Let's go Horns. Uh did you have one you wanted
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: to do? You don't have to go. I know you
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: probablyn't even know who's underdog and tonight, how about Commanders.
- 1:35:40Speaker 4: That's good? That my second one?
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:35:42Speaker 5: Yeah, that's all.
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: It was a small I think it was like what
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: plus three? Were they plus three?
- 1:35:47Speaker 4: He looks at the screen. Tampa's minus three right now
- 1:35:50Speaker 4: plus three every pick one.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: Hey, okay, before we go, this will be the inconclusion
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: part of the show. Hot take revisit from the preseason
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: when we first started this show. Cool, I love these,
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: I've got hot takes them all four, Casey, Eddie, Kevin,
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: and myself. These are things when it was like, hey,
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: make your hot take before we start. We'll start with Casey. Yeah,
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: not good, says there will only be one team from
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: the NFC North to make the playoffs. Three of the
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: four made the playoffs.
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: Ye, backfired.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: We didn't expect the Vikings to be awesome, to be fair, yeah,
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: although we did think the Bears would be better.
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: Yeah right, I thought the Packers would not be as good.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: But so who did you think the one team would
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: be the Lions?
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: Okay, so Casey swinging a miss Kevin. The Chargers win
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: the division and Jim Harbaugh wins Coach of the Year.
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: Not a huge mess they did. They didn't win the division.
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: He probably won't win Coach of the Year, but he'll
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: be top three or four.
- 1:36:50Speaker 11: Yeah, they had a good year. They made the playoffs.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: I agree.
- 1:36:53Speaker 11: If the Chiefs weren't in that division. Maybe it's a
- 1:36:54Speaker 11: different story.
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: Right, good job.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: So again, he will not win Coach of the Year.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: But it's not like he's for he sucked, so I
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: would Casey, I give you a D. Kevin, I give
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: you a B minus. Still, all right, all right, I
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: haven't even looked at mine yet. I don't know what
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: mine is because I'm like you, guys, I haven't looked
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: at mine yet.
- 1:37:13Speaker 4: I'm trying to think.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: Eddie, dude, your's this hilarious? So wrong Cowboys, No, Edie.
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: No.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: Eddie's hot take was he believed a certain player was
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: going to have one of the best years of his career,
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: and the player on this team will lead this team
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: to win the division and the conference. Any idea Aaron Rodgers?
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: You thought that Aaron Rodgers will have, if not the
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: best year of his career, one of the best years
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: of his career, and the Jets will win not only
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: their division but.
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: The a f C.
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: Just give me the just give me the optimism.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: That mine is C. J. Stroud, I said, J. Strouds
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: mediocre this season. They'll win nine or ten games. Wow,
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: they finished ten and seven and Shrouds he was mediocre.
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: Last year we had four thousand passing yards, twenty three touchdowns,
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: five interceptions as a rookie. Uh this year three thousand,
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: six hundred passing yards a little less, four less touchdowns,
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: and seven more interceptions. Give me a B plus.
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: Yeah, man, that's really good plus.
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: Huh.
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: I mean it was a terrible fantasy quarterback too.
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:25Speaker 11: Yeah, I don't know, had like two games where you're like, oh,
- 1:38:28Speaker 11: it's back.
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: No, I don't even know we had those.
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: So I made the Honor All Cap. Now you win
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: for two years and I'm trying to We just walked
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: to Honora. We had the court.
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: Yeahool, we just want the court on our graduation.
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, you didn't get the comic.
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: Yeah you didn't.
