- 1:04You've got your husband here making the strings.
- 1:06That's mine. What's going on with the drinks?
- 1:09Don you got to make it over there.
- 1:11Hello going on with the drinks. So Making a clover club today
- 1:16for Shayla cause she likes. Jim and go ahead and lie.
- 1:20Go ahead and lie. What he already said it, we are
- 1:28making Jen drinks because I like gin.
- 1:29There we go. Very awesome way to simplify
- 1:34that Shale. It's like something you've grown
- 1:39up. I was telling the girls earlier
- 1:41that Jenna's my holiday drink. Yes.
- 1:44A little cranberry in it and everything I like I like a
- 1:47little Christmas tree taste in my drink.
- 1:49You know next time when you do you should put like cranberries
- 1:53but like freeze them and then put a little sugar on top of
- 1:56them and freezes and put on top of your fucking mind.
- 1:59You know, I found I started using Frozen grapes in my wine
- 2:04ohh-oh-oh, Summer, Wine cold and then the grapes get filled with
- 2:09booze and then you eat them. Yep.
- 2:11Yep. New grapes to cool down old
- 2:15grapes. Anyways about drinks.
- 2:19So yes husband, please tell us what you made for the Clover
- 2:23Club. We're gonna start off with some
- 2:24dry gin. We're gonna use one point five
- 2:27ounces of the Gin next. We today we don't have raspberry
- 2:33syrup so we're going to be using raspberry liqueur, which is a
- 2:36sweeter kind of alcoholic thing. Will use about 3/4 of that and
- 2:41we're going to use three quarters of lime juice.
- 2:43Juice and then we're going to use some egg whites.
- 2:46Yeah. So I was surprised that they
- 2:48were all down for the egg whites today.
- 2:50Some cracking an egg. Now letting that in.
- 2:53Wow, you guys over here, he just cracked open an egg.
- 2:57But what are we going to do with the yolk?
- 3:01If you want to but yeah, whenever we go to shake any of
- 3:06the The egg whites. We want to dry shake it first.
- 3:11We don't want to use any ice or anything in it.
- 3:13We just want to break that up first.
- 3:14And then we'll put some ice in and then we'll start shaking it
- 3:16again. This is why I love him.
- 3:20That's why he's my man. Have you seen let me that's
- 3:24mine? You sold me and I stayed back
- 3:29in. Now, we're going to shake it.
- 3:34We don't deny it. Lady.
- 3:47Everyone, everyone. Everyone on this episode - one
- 3:51person is we will get there. My brother was born on the 8th.
- 4:23March 8th was born on March night, should we stir hers?
- 4:35She should be good. Oh my God.
- 4:36Okay, let's see, let's taste it. Should I drink through the tubby
- 4:39foam into the butt juice? Oh yeah.
- 4:43Lick the tea first and then drink it.
- 4:56No, that's great. That is super good.
- 4:59Look at you. I'm so proud of you.
- 5:01Damn. It doesn't even taste.
- 5:03Like there's a whole leg in there.
- 5:05You're getting your protein into.
- 5:06Wow, that's really good Dawn. Thank you.
- 5:10What was the name of this drink again?
- 5:12That's yours, young Clover club, hmm?
- 5:17Okay, that's fantastic. So make sure to follow here CU
- 5:20casts on Instagram so that you can get.
- 5:24So you can see a live footage of the resumes to now we're not
- 5:29that cool. Yeah, we're getting there.
- 5:35Emily's, really the one who slacks.
- 5:36We try to make Dusty made a real.
- 5:39I make a lot of The posts. I'm, I don't know.
- 5:42I don't know why. I'm just here.
- 5:44I just I think I'm just here. It was supposed to take over our
- 5:49Tick-Tock. I thought about it on the way
- 5:51here today. And you know how you say you're
- 5:54the star of the show, it's more like your the diva of the show.
- 5:57Yes. Oh, that's good anyway and Eva
- 6:10diva As that smarter. Not harder.
- 6:12Exactly. Oh my God.
- 6:15So we already spoke about your apprenticeship already, did we?
- 6:18Yes, we did. I understand you're doing more
- 6:21cosmetic tattooing as well. I know a lot of women are doing
- 6:26the, you know, eyebrows eyeliner and everything like that.
- 6:29What made you want to do that too?
- 6:31As well. Well actually I wanted to be a
- 6:34cosmetic touch her before I got the opportunity to do regular
- 6:37tattooing. It was just Kind of a back then,
- 6:41it was a there. There was hardly, anybody that
- 6:44did it and I'd kind of seen it. You know, it's been around for
- 6:48way longer than people think, oh, yeah.
- 6:50People were getting their eyebrows, an eyeliner tattooed
- 6:52by traditional tattooers in like, they're early like late
- 6:5540s, early 50s, but it just wasn't as prevalent.
- 6:59Yeah. But especially through, you
- 7:02know, the 40s. When like you didn't leave your
- 7:03house without your your brows in your eyeliner, in your lips on,
- 7:06it was like a huge deal and so that kind of took off I like had
- 7:09seen it in a magazine. Or I think it was actually a
- 7:12book about like, a book about tattooing, and anyway, I really
- 7:16want to get into it. But at the time there was only
- 7:17one lady in which taught that did it.
- 7:19Hmm, she was in her 70s. I remember you.
- 7:22Yeah, she had the market like fucking Corner.
- 7:24She worked with the state to develop the curriculum.
- 7:28And at the time you were either a tattoo artist or you were
- 7:33cosmetic, tattoo artist. She was the only one in town
- 7:37that could license another Cosmetic tattoo artist.
- 7:40And that bitch was taking it to her grave.
- 7:43She never trained to anyone. No.
- 7:45She was like she drove this like sick old Jaguar.
- 7:49Oh shit. Like you know?
- 7:51Okay, and she had like she was so fancy, dude.
- 7:53I just like kind of like, was enamored by her because she's
- 7:56like Rich As Fuck. Hey, we like, I love and she was
- 8:01just like this, classy. Beautiful like, and she had a
- 8:04cheated all the permanent makeup and she worked at the state to
- 8:07develop the curriculum. And she basically worked herself
- 8:09in His official. No one else could do it.
- 8:11Hmm. So yours.
- 8:13Obviously, like things change microlending.
- 8:15We can drag antic thing. Yeah, microwaving was like a
- 8:18buzzword, like, everybody's like, microwaving, microwaving I
- 8:21need to get into this. And there were so many people
- 8:23that wanted to either get or do microbe waiting in Kansas that.
- 8:27Finally, the State Board of Cosmetology that regulates
- 8:29tattooing was like realize that they were missing a lot of
- 8:32opportunity for money like for people to get license and pay
- 8:36dues and test in and test out in the whole thing, the stay always
- 8:39just wants to get My money out of Licensing.
- 8:41I agree. And so, I finally, I kissed this
- 8:46lady's ass for years, like every time she'd come in, I was like,
- 8:49Hey, Samantha, what's up, girl? How you doing?
- 8:52And would like express interest and whatever and I was working
- 8:55in the shop and she would sometimes she had a relationship
- 8:57with Dennis was she would sometimes need to use our
- 8:59catalogs to order pigments and stuff, because she worked out of
- 9:02a med spa. And she wasn't like, licenses a
- 9:06tattoo shop. She was a licensed, a to her.
- 9:08Yeah. But she would like me to
- 9:10Supplies and stuff. Sometimes so she developed a
- 9:12relationship with Dennis and Dennis was always chill.
- 9:13Like, yeah. If you want us to order you
- 9:15something order it. So man, I was all over this lady
- 9:17and she just wasn't having it for not just me, but like, for
- 9:20anybody. And so, anyway, it's been almost
- 9:24five years since the state finally decided that they were
- 9:27going to ease up on the licensing for permanent makeup.
- 9:29But here's what's fucked up and this is really important and I'm
- 9:33glad that this like segwayed into this subject, but the state
- 9:36said, okay, if you're already a licensed tattoo artist, you can
- 9:40do a license without any additional training.
- 9:44So instead of like requiring, this, like gigantic amount of
- 9:47training, they just went all your tattoo.
- 9:49Are you already know what you're doing?
- 9:50You can tattoo a face. So I sent an email to the state
- 9:55and said, hey, I want to do permanent makeup and they were
- 9:58like, no problem. I'll send your license out and
- 10:00like that. And so that's how I got dual
- 10:03licensed. Yeah.
- 10:05The thing is, is that permanent makeup and body tattooing body
- 10:10of that? Like, how I distinguish the two
- 10:11traditional tattooing is two completely different beasts.
- 10:15And I didn't know that when I went into it because I was like,
- 10:18I'm already a fucking tattoo or I can tattoo and eyebrow.
- 10:20Like if I can tattoo, you know, a lady head with two eyebrows on
- 10:23it, on your arm, I can touch your face, it's fine.
- 10:25Yeah and then I went into training and realized like oh
- 10:27shit this is a whole different thing, the color theories
- 10:30different, the healing is different.
- 10:31The contraindications are different as far as like meds
- 10:33that you're on any like Preexisting conditions, you
- 10:38have, like things that we have to know about.
- 10:40We have to talk about the effect, the skin on your face.
- 10:42That don't necessarily ever affect body tattooing.
- 10:46Yeah. So when I went into training, I
- 10:48was just kind of blindsided by. It was like oh shit, this is
- 10:51like a whole thing. Yeah, but it appealed to me
- 10:56because permanent makeup kind of hits The Sweet Spot of what I've
- 10:59always loved and tattooing one of my favorite things about
- 11:02tattooing, that's very cheesy. As I like how transformative
- 11:05tattooing can be for people. Especially for for women's
- 11:09bodies and for a body confidence and self image.
- 11:12Yeah, I've seen ladies come in that want to get their thighs
- 11:16tattooed because they have stretch marks and they hate
- 11:17their. But they won't wear shorts
- 11:19because they don't like the way their legs look and dresses and
- 11:22shorts and they come get a giant tattoo and they're like fuck.
- 11:25Yeah. Like nobody talks about my
- 11:27stretch marks because they're not covered up but they're
- 11:29distracted from and now I'm stoked on this huge image and I
- 11:32feel better about my body and I really really like that about
- 11:35tattooing. And permanent makeup is like the
- 11:38ultimate form of that. Oh yeah.
- 11:40You know what I mean? And so that's like it's a it's a
- 11:43tiny bit narcissistic because it's like it's very like self
- 11:47gratifying like because I love that reaction and you guys like
- 11:51as women gets narcissistic because you're doing it because
- 11:54you know that it'll help someone it does.
- 11:56But it also makes me feel good. Yeah, like switching guys.
- 11:58I'm gonna trade off. That sounds like the trade.
- 12:00Yeah. It sounds like a win-win.
- 12:02Yeah, that's what. Yeah, because I got my Applause.
- 12:08Yes, I got my eyebrows done because I always thought, you
- 12:12know, my eyebrows were horrible and then you know, with me
- 12:15getting my eyebrows, I feel so confident because I'm like, I
- 12:18have it done and it makes me feel beautiful, you know, there
- 12:20was Kevin and our shop, Kevin Waukee he's been tattooing for
- 12:2323 or 24 years. He at one point said, I didn't
- 12:29know eyebrows were such a big deal.
- 12:30Oh, yeah. And I was like, dude, you have
- 12:33no idea how much I'm are the senator, think about.
- 12:37Their brow. Oh yeah, we wake up and like put
- 12:40them on. They never go on the way that we
- 12:41want to. Like yeah eyebrows are like
- 12:43their cousins. Well no they're sisters.
- 12:46I heard they're cousins sisters. Getting Thomas, are twins, their
- 12:50sisters not twins. Yeah, yeah.
- 12:53But yeah, like people don't realize how much time we spend
- 12:57thinking about that and dealing with it.
- 12:59And for me personally, like, I was like a little goth kid.
- 13:03I used to dye my hair jet black and I'm very, very blond
- 13:05naturally. And I've always had released
- 13:07First eyebrows. And then of course, I was a
- 13:09teenager and the early 2000s and so I just like wax that shit off
- 13:13basically and dream back on and like I was and I dream on girl
- 13:17with like the, my Maybelline red liner.
- 13:20I was like yeah you were like borderline goth kid but also
- 13:25like a chola. I had a lot of Mexican friends
- 13:27room. Yeah.
- 13:27Yeah. Alright.
- 13:28Yeah. You know, those were the
- 13:29vicious, the taught me how to put my eyebrows.
- 13:32So I was like, God from here down and like Chola from here
- 13:34up. Yep.
- 13:35If your eyebrows are not The Lightyear, your lips.
- 13:39I didn't know your address here. Up, you'll today.
- 13:42I am. He's so thin as well because I
- 13:44used to pluck that shit. And one time, I shaved it, and I
- 13:49used to shave mine off. Oh my God.
- 13:51I shaved mine and I only shaved like to write here because like
- 13:55I have a like a so you could draw your tail on him.
- 13:57I'll drop my telling ya the way. Yeah, but guys don't know that.
- 14:00Like, if you shave your eyebrows they don't come back.
- 14:03A lot of times they do. They know they don't which Is
- 14:07one of the things that like, it's always a misconception
- 14:09about how, like, if you shave your body, the hair comes in
- 14:11thicker. So when we're shaving to prep
- 14:13for a stencil placement on a body, they're always like, oh
- 14:15damn now that patch my hair's going to be thicker and I was
- 14:17like that was dried up eyebrows because I used to shave that
- 14:21shit way off. But yeah, I just, I really like
- 14:24and it's also cool. Like I really like the The
- 14:30aspect of cosmetic tattooing. Also, like I work with a lot of
- 14:32cancer survivors and a lot of times when you go through chemo
- 14:36and radiation treatment your eyebrows, and your lashes, don't
- 14:39come back. And so for me, like, my
- 14:42grandmother was battled breast cancer, a double mastectomy, she
- 14:46ended up, Surviving it, but it kind of like was the downfall of
- 14:49her health that led to her ending up passing and she was
- 14:51really important to me. Yeah.
- 14:54And so and I just see so many women that are affected by it
- 14:56and not even just because of cancer but just in general like
- 14:59I do not Roasted so bad for not having I wrote when I was a kid.
- 15:03Like, you know, young adult. Yeah.
- 15:05Teenager like, it was always like running on my fucking
- 15:07eyebrows and I start drawing them on.
- 15:08They were all shitty and it seems silly.
- 15:10Like, it seems insignificant but like your eyebrows are like the,
- 15:15they're the Cornerstone of your face of Court.
- 15:17That's what I always say. Like, the first thing I see on a
- 15:20person is their eyebrows. I always look at your eyebrows
- 15:23first. I don't know why, but that's,
- 15:25that's the first thing I look, yeah.
- 15:27And it's a big deal. Like, if you, it doesn't matter
- 15:29who you are, If you walk into a quick trip and you see a girl
- 15:31from across the way, that's got her eyebrows put on like this.
- 15:33You're like bitch. Yeah, oh yeah.
- 15:38Conquering right now, especially when you see some friends.
- 16:00When I was working at Goodwill as a teenager, she worked with
- 16:02me and we just kind of stayed friends.
- 16:03There was one she moved to Chicago and she came back one
- 16:05year for like Christmas or whatever.
- 16:07We're sitting at the bar. And this is at the peak of me,
- 16:09having like the straight up o control abroad.
- 16:10Like I looked East l.a. like it was bad and I didn't know it.
- 16:15Like I thought I would wish it wasn't some Compton girls.
- 16:18I was bad bitch. Like it was so bad she was at
- 16:21Runner. I was we're talking about Troy.
- 16:22I want to talk about And so my girlfriend, we were sitting
- 16:32across the table from one another at Harry's.
- 16:34And she said, listen, I love you, regardless of the altitude
- 16:39of your eyebrows but we need to like poem that shit down.
- 16:44That's a good friend and I was like respect no, that's stupid
- 16:48and my know I've always I haven't talked to her in years.
- 16:50I'm like that bitch got like she had me.
- 16:52Yes she was like okay hold on. I've been gone a while and your
- 16:55shit is floated up towards the back of your head and we need to
- 16:58like bring it. Down to one of my girlfriends.
- 17:01Like I was like, thank you so much.
- 17:02One of my friends, she had them dark ass eyebrows and I'm like,
- 17:06girl, no one tells her and yeah, and I've Got Friends, I had to
- 17:10tell as a baby girl, that's why there's a brush at the end of
- 17:14yapping. I need you to brush that out.
- 17:16So, well, here's the thing, and this is what I find.
- 17:18So interesting, is that a lot of my brow clients come in and
- 17:22they'll have nobody comes to me because they have good brows,
- 17:24like, they come because I need help.
- 17:26And a lot of women come in and they There are broad I make my
- 17:31clients come in. Ask my clients to come on with
- 17:32the girls put on because I like to see if they've been wearing
- 17:34everyday. What color they're rocking with
- 17:36health State? What they normally wear it so
- 17:37I'm like where your normal makeup.
- 17:39Yeah. Like your everyday going to work
- 17:41so that I can see what you like and sometimes people come in and
- 17:44it's just like that makes no sense for their face but they
- 17:47don't know that. Yeah and so sometimes they'll
- 17:49come in and they're like, girl, I'm like, whoa, talk to me about
- 17:52the shape, is this? What you're wearing every day?
- 17:53And a lot of times they're like, girl.
- 17:55I have no idea. No and they're like, I just do a
- 17:58thing and then This is what happens because so many people's
- 18:02actual brow hair grows against the, their bone structure and
- 18:07grows against their face shape and so if you can kind of like
- 18:10marry those two things, it's a lot more complementary and it's
- 18:13not necessarily about how you look or how you present other
- 18:15people, but it's about the way that you feel.
- 18:17Oh yeah. And you know, and it's not just
- 18:19a woman thing, it's a guy thing to if you get a fresh fucking
- 18:22set of clothes and you got some shiny out sneakers on and you
- 18:25wake up and you're like damn this day is about to be so good.
- 18:27You know how literally what Dusty Sent to us in the chat
- 18:30today. He was like, what are we wearing
- 18:32today? Are we going out?
- 18:33Are we not because this outfit? What was it this time?
- 18:37Do I look like right now? I look like an eight, but this
- 18:40outfit makes me look like a 9.5 read it.
- 18:42I was like Dusty where it always only.
- 18:45I mean, that's my grandma used to always say that.
- 18:46And it's like a typical phrase but like if you look good you
- 18:49feel good. Yes.
- 18:50And it doesn't matter if anybody else thinks that you fucking
- 18:52look good. But if you think you look good.
- 18:54Yes. Like you're on that.
- 18:55You're that bitch and I'll beat that bitch in sweatpants.
- 18:58I'll be back with my Now like this but like I was on point
- 19:02fascism. Yeah, that's me right now.
- 19:04If anything, I'm going with no makeup but my eyebrows are doing
- 19:08my lashes are really. The title is like Emily, you
- 19:12know, I don't have my lashes or I don't have my lashes done and
- 19:16I don't do my eyebrows like like I don't have a microbe later.
- 19:19So it's like I have to put something on me and if you can
- 19:24and also women are busy man, like, oh fuck, yeah, we are, I
- 19:29don't have eyelash. Ashes on or my eyebrows and
- 19:31dude, I'm fucking that's the thing.
- 19:32Is that women aren't just like you know, bacon cookies and
- 19:35hanging out like we're running businesses and we're running we
- 19:39have you know what I mean? Like we're running, families
- 19:42were running, we have businesses, we have businesses,
- 19:43we have careers. We're still taking care of
- 19:45children, were so kind of feed her husband.
- 19:48We're still trying to do all that and and we're all here
- 19:51doing it. You know what I mean?
- 19:52Like and we don't necessarily have time to fuck around and
- 19:56figure out how to draw an eyebrow at 6 a.m.
- 19:59And so, it's really cool to be able to serve, like the working
- 20:03women of Wichita. And then even just like the
- 20:07stay-at-home mom, that look is tired as fuck.
- 20:09And she hasn't slept in three days and she wants to look like,
- 20:12she's not like I got her to. And so that's cool to be like,
- 20:16and just seeing like it's it was another thing that's really fun
- 20:20is that I Workshop called album. Yeah.
- 20:22And it's a very aggressive shop. Yes.
- 20:24I like our email is hell. Bomb 666.
- 20:29At Dot-com it's called hell bomb.
- 20:32Is it isn't like your guys is you guys have a sign right over
- 20:36the counter. What does it say something
- 20:37about? I don't know.
- 20:40On this was like, no drunks no weapon if you're an asshole,
- 20:42take a hike. Yeah.
- 20:43That was like that. Yeah.
- 20:45And it's, you know, I mean you're like come on bro, step it
- 20:47up. Yeah.
- 20:48And you know, I was, it's a very traditional shop.
- 20:52It's, we make off-color jokes, we talk.
- 20:55I like I've heard more like dick and fart jokes in my lifetime
- 20:59than anyone ever could being a farts.
- 21:06Have to share that lady. It's like it's kind of an
- 21:09Subsetting. And what's really cool is that,
- 21:12I wasn't sure how it was gonna go over when I decided that I
- 21:15wanted to make the move towards permanent makeup.
- 21:16Yeah. Because everyone in my shop
- 21:18takes like I have so much respect for everyone that works
- 21:20at our shop, because everyone takes tattooing so seriously,
- 21:24and they're very protective of tattooing becoming diluted and
- 21:29not being true to form. Like we kind of live by like a
- 21:33death to false tattooing like standard, like, you should
- 21:36always hold it to that degree in that.
- 21:39Act. So I was like, man.
- 21:40I don't know if like this shit's going to be it, and so, like I
- 21:43said, I want Steve and I was like, yeah, I kinda want to do
- 21:45this. And like, here's why and seems
- 21:46like fucking do. It sounds cool.
- 21:47Yeah. And it was really fun to watch
- 21:51the people in my shop, react to it because there's a weird
- 21:55divide because there's people that are permanent makeup
- 21:58artists. Most people are only permanent
- 22:00makeup artist. They're only trade in that.
- 22:02And then you have the people that are tattooers and then you
- 22:04have the people like me that kind of ride that middle line.
- 22:06Mmm, so, since I'm in traditionally trained tattoo, I
- 22:09brought a lot of my techniques of body tattooing into permanent
- 22:13makeup which is completely different than the ladies that
- 22:15have only learned permanent makeup because they don't have a
- 22:18background in tattooing. Yeah, so I'm like I'm pretty
- 22:21good like I can shape-shift pretty well to my client like
- 22:24I'm not always necessarily like dropping f-bombs and like being
- 22:27aggressive. If I have like an 85 year old
- 22:29lady on my table, I see sometimes you get these.
- 22:32I get these this whole new realm of clientele, so I'll get like,
- 22:36little fucking Gladys that's, you know, 85 years.
- 22:39Old. She decides to finally get her
- 22:40eyebrows tattooed, she walks in the tattoo shop called hell
- 22:43boss. You know what I mean?
- 22:46That she would never have gone to.
- 22:48Yeah, I grew up in like the sailors and Whores era of
- 22:51tattooing. Yeah.
- 22:52She walks in our shop and says tattoo my face.
- 22:54Like that's fucking rad. I do is so cool.
- 22:57Yeah. And these are really
- 22:58dismantling, a lot of girls and they come with like their
- 23:00handbags like clutched. Oh so nervous.
- 23:04And I think I am kind of like a good transition into that world
- 23:08because like Um, Basics fog like I'm super like, you know, I'm a
- 23:12mom, like, I'm not that cool. I'm not like tough biker.
- 23:15Guy tattooer, you're a freaking cool.
- 23:17So, and so, when they meet me, you know, and like after I like
- 23:21kind of talk them through it like I'm really big on
- 23:23communicating with my clients like they get to the point where
- 23:25they're chill and the next thing I know, 85 year old, glad this
- 23:28is like telling me about the first time she ever smoked weed
- 23:31and how she had a threesome in like 1975, you know what I mean?
- 23:40They've never had like, a lot of this woman have never had that
- 23:42outlet. Oh yeah, mix.
- 23:44Because they've been like raising that generation.
- 23:46Like I have clients and sheltered.
- 23:48I have clients honestly, older women clients that will that
- 23:51have always wanted to get tattooed since like, the 40s and
- 23:54the 50s and they wait for their husbands to die and then they
- 23:59come get tattooed. And it's so cool because they're
- 24:02like, they'll be 90 years old. Like the oldest client ever
- 24:05taught you was 94. Wow.
- 24:07And she said, I have Always since tattooing started to
- 24:11happen. Yeah.
- 24:12On the sailors. You know, my granddad was a
- 24:14sailor and you know this year and blah blah blah.
- 24:17And my uncle is a CB and I used to like I grew up and I saw
- 24:20these beautiful tattoos and I always wanted when I always
- 24:22resonated with me, but my husband was against it and
- 24:25that's a generation where you followed what your partner's.
- 24:27Yeah. They weren't like us.
- 24:29Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 24:30They just weren't and that's nothing against them.
- 24:32That's just how they were raised.
- 24:33Yeah. That was a generation thing then
- 24:35yeah, I don't know. Since tattooing was so taboo.
- 24:37They weren't gonna like pop off and Go do that shit.
- 24:40Oh my God. Saturday and also, it wasn't as
- 24:42accessible. Yeah, that has your it's now and
- 24:45so they are done and then they come, they're like, well, he's
- 24:49dead now and I spent six years with them.
- 24:51So fucking put up some flour on my ankle and White Rock, and
- 24:53Roll lady. Let's do it.
- 24:55And so, and it's cool. It's so cool.
- 24:57And I do have a lot of older women clients that come in to
- 24:59get permanent makeup, um, but end up finding out that it's
- 25:02actually chill and it's not that scary.
- 25:05Yeah. Who will later come get?
- 25:06Tattooed. Oh, that's also.
- 25:07That's super cool. Yeah.
- 25:09You really start to develop these relationships and help
- 25:13help someone come out of their shell and time like
- 25:19non-aggressive way. Yeah, right.
- 25:20Because they grew up it differently. 100%, we're talking
- 25:23about different societal standards at that time, and why?
- 25:27Like, that's incredible. It's also a really cool Gateway
- 25:29because there's a lot of women that will come for permanent
- 25:31makeup Services who would have never considered getting
- 25:34tattooed because it's like so out of their realm and then they
- 25:38like, we'll get there. There and they'll see like we
- 25:40had this one lady that we always joke about and she like, came in
- 25:43this like gorgeous. I'm in stunning.
- 25:45Blonde. Like you can tell, this is like
- 25:46the most high-maintenance lady in the world, right?
- 25:48Yeah. She comes on her heels and she
- 25:50pulls up in this Mercedes and she like overly has like some
- 25:53old money bitch. And I like some new McCulloch.
- 25:56Hey, I'm not judging I'm jealous.
- 25:59Yeah. Yeah.
- 25:59It's like okay, I wish she should but she shows up and
- 26:02she's got this like giant fucking Louis bag and she likes
- 26:04it sit on the counter and she like looks around.
- 26:05She goes, you know, it's not as dirty.
- 26:09In here as I expected and like that should be offensive as fuck
- 26:14and I was like cool. Like yeah I come by, come on
- 26:17that click, let's do the pink but it just opens it up.
- 26:19You know, Joe to an entirely new clientele and they get to be in
- 26:23the shop and they get to like experience.
- 26:24Like we have a lot of really good camaraderie in the shop
- 26:26like yappin and we're always a shit and and yeah and they get
- 26:30to like come in and be a part of that and like jump it on that
- 26:33and it's a thing that I think a lot of people wouldn't
- 26:35experience if they weren't there to receive permanent makeup
- 26:38service. Yeah.
- 26:39Yeah, I think that's so cool. Again, like your you guys are
- 26:41really breaking a lot of those stereotypes, even though like
- 26:45we're talking, we're in 2022. Almost 2023.
- 26:47We know the stereotypes aren't as prevalent, but we all have a
- 26:51family member where it's hard to make those connections.
- 26:54Yeah, title of conversation with and now you're breaking that
- 27:00cycle without even knowing it. So now they go back home and now
- 27:04the way that they're confident well, that too, but also the way
- 27:07that they're conversating with her there.
- 27:09Pieces are, you know, their grandkids, totally.
- 27:11It's now has changed all on there and now we're talking
- 27:15about generational breakage like, that's what you're doing.
- 27:18Yeah, I do. See several like all have
- 27:21luckily. Like I was, I was completely
- 27:23blessed with what ended up being a large clientele.
- 27:27And a lot of that is from staying put because like, I
- 27:29talked about earlier, like I had developed a relationship with a
- 27:31lot of our clients artists at large.
- 27:33So, when I started tattooing, I had no problem getting people
- 27:36because everyone knew me from six years of working toner.
- 27:39As soon as I started tattooing every was like why you're
- 27:41tattooing all do that? And I'm like cool.
- 27:42This is gonna look like shit, but let's do it.
- 27:44And then I didn't win. But they would always do it
- 27:47because they were used to working with me.
- 27:49Yeah. And then that parlayed into like
- 27:51a small, like tattooing career. And then luckily, like, when I
- 27:54made the move to hell bomb, I was close and like the people at
- 27:57Arts, large were cool about my move.
- 27:59So like, if somebody went in there looking for me, they would
- 28:01still send them to Hell bone. So it wasn't hard to, I didn't
- 28:04lose anybody. And then I had, that is so
- 28:08because I touch it for six. Before I start doing permanent
- 28:10makeup. So I had that established
- 28:11clientele. And then when I started doing
- 28:13permanent makeup, then a lot of my tattoo clients were my first
- 28:15permanent makeup points because they were down for me to like,
- 28:18learn. You know what I mean?
- 28:19They're like, well, you've done 30 hours of tattooing on me.
- 28:22You can probably tattoo my face. Yeah, I'd be like, bitch.
- 28:25I don't know. We'll find out.
- 28:27Like, let's see. And so I like outlines.
- 28:30Yeah. But what's cool?
- 28:32Yeah, exactly is that. I have a lot of those clients.
- 28:36Bring me their moms, they bring me their grammar.
- 28:39You know what I mean? And that's so cool because then
- 28:41we'll have like these little days where it's like you know
- 28:44Mom gets eyebrows daughter, gets eyebrows, grandma, gets
- 28:46eyebrows, grandma, would have never been in the shop.
- 28:48Mom would have never been in the shop and then they get in there
- 28:50and they go, oh, it'd be cool if we all get matching tattoos and
- 28:53like, it's this really neat thing that they can do together.
- 28:57And for whatever reason, like that with permanent Cosmetics,
- 29:00it's just more acceptable than body touchings, but it once
- 29:04women of that generation get their permanent makeup and they
- 29:08feel that Mission of themselves and their self-image.
- 29:12Then they go. I feel like it makes them
- 29:14understand traditional tattooing a little bit more because they
- 29:17go. Okay, well, maybe all those
- 29:19tattoos that my granddaughter has that I've always hated make
- 29:21her feel better about herself the way that my eyebrows did.
- 29:24And so, they like, kind of Chill on that.
- 29:26Yeah, which is super cool. It is because now they get to
- 29:29develop a deeper relationship. Like she might still be like a
- 29:33low-key racist but she's probably likes tattoos for now
- 29:37and again. But sir, your lips are like a
- 29:40bird. Yeah.
- 29:42But you're starting to break that though, you know, little
- 29:44bum and I find little and that's hard.
- 29:47You know what I mean? Like, like sometimes when your
- 29:50family set in their ways, that's a tough that is true.
- 29:53When I, I was the first one in my family to have my eyebrows
- 29:56done. Yeah.
- 29:57And they gave me so much shit, but we're sure.
- 30:00Yeah. They gave me so much shit about
- 30:01their like, this is permanent on your face.
- 30:03Like, why would you do this like this, right?
- 30:05You know, and I was like cuz I want to do this.
- 30:06It makes me feel good. It makes me like I am.
- 30:08This is Yeah, and what happens they all did it.
- 30:12They are didn't see what school is like.
- 30:16I also see like in workplaces and stuff, like it's easy to
- 30:19like like all. Do one girls eyebrows in a
- 30:21workplace and especially like salons around here because I
- 30:23touched on a lot of like beauty industry women.
- 30:26I'll do one ladies eyebrows and then I'll get six girls from
- 30:29their Salon based on that. But what's funny is like the
- 30:33first one is like the wild one at the shot because you know,
- 30:36first and see what happens. But then like six people through
- 30:41the salon later, I'm like, mapping her brows for two hours
- 30:44because she's not sure. Yeah, you know what I mean like?
- 30:46And so it's really cool because you can see it like work its
- 30:49way. But I mean I've just it's just
- 30:51been a really cool thing to like it made sense like it just
- 30:56falling into that. It made sense.
- 30:58And I also have like a lot of people that come in that will
- 31:01double up on services. Like they'll be like hey while
- 31:03I'm here, getting my eyebrow touch-up.
- 31:04Can I get a small tattoo? I'm like yeah, yeah yeah.
- 31:06So it's also like just from a business standpoint It's a
- 31:09really good upsell, right? Right.
- 31:10Pain is beauty, dude. You just got to fucking do it.
- 31:12Yeah, and it's a I just think it's awesome.
- 31:16I love the way that you're describing it though.
- 31:19You know, to your point. It's not while it is for sure a
- 31:23business part. Right.
- 31:24It's like yeah I know it has to be.
- 31:27Yeah but like you're coming from the other perspective like
- 31:30that's the first thing that it is and it has always been like
- 31:33that from your story from the beginning to.
- 31:34Now you're talking about how you had a I don't want to say trust
- 31:40even though if that was it it's more of like a lot of honour
- 31:45that you gave to tattooing a lot of like respect that I
- 31:48definitely had some too. Yeah, and now like you're
- 31:51bringing that in here and you're uncovering so much more that is
- 31:54again helping break you. We're talking about generational
- 31:58Cycles like that. I mean, you know, like we always
- 32:01have that much credit. No, but I mean it's cool.
- 32:04It's cool to see. It is cool.
- 32:05Because like, I think I'd really like to highlight that because I
- 32:09think you are without knowing it.
- 32:11Yeah. And now it's like it for you.
- 32:14It's like, yeah, it's really cool because I get to continue
- 32:16and help and work with someone to help them, feel encouraged
- 32:19and Enlighten and loved and beautiful.
- 32:23All these things that were talking about self image.
- 32:26But then now the relationships, all these, you're talking about
- 32:30these Mutual Cycles. I just continued to go.
- 32:33I mean, they're honestly like like I said earlier, like most
- 32:36of my clients are my friends. Yeah.
- 32:38Like and that Is from like they were clients first and now
- 32:40they're my friends and that's so cheesy and like Hallmark card,
- 32:44but it's really like it. Just.
- 32:45Yeah. And I feel like tattooing is
- 32:47such a there, such a personal connection whenever you tattoo
- 32:50someone and and it's not always, sometimes it's just silly.
- 32:53Like sometimes you want to come in and get a goldfish tattooed
- 32:55on your ass and that's rad, I love that.
- 32:57Yeah. It's not always SpongeBob.
- 33:00Yeah, it won't. I want to a lien on my ass.
- 33:02I'll do it. Well, you know it's not always
- 33:06like as deep as everyone makes it.
- 33:09Sometimes it is no and when you have those claims like, even if
- 33:12like that, sometimes it's that steep as just the conversation
- 33:15total. You know what I mean?
- 33:16Like it could be a freaking cool asset to doesn't the tattoo
- 33:19thing with no meaning. Yeah, that's a to doesn't have
- 33:22meaning, but it's the relationship that you develop
- 33:24totally. That's and then, especially when
- 33:26like, you know, I've been humbled a lot recently, getting
- 33:29to work with breast cancer survivors and not just breast
- 33:33cancer, but it's mostly unfortunately, because it
- 33:35affects so many women but cancer survivors in general and I've
- 33:38gotten to Are their stories and I've gotten to hear them say,
- 33:41you know, it's two years ago or six months ago, I thought I was
- 33:44going to die. And then here, they're doing
- 33:46this, like special thing for themselves where the only time
- 33:50that you would try and make yourself feel better, or do
- 33:54something permanent to your body.
- 33:55Is if you knew you were gonna fucking be around for a while.
- 33:58Yeah. And so sometimes like that's
- 34:01that last step for women to come in and it's just like Fanny.
- 34:05I know that you're passionate about areola restoration because
- 34:07yeah, how we met that? Yeah, that's exactly how we map.
- 34:10Which I was so impressed by you because it was like, a lot of
- 34:13times people come in and they're like, I just want to talk to I
- 34:15just want to, you know, and I just want to like do pictures on
- 34:17people. I'm like, I don't have an art
- 34:18portfolio or whatever and you came in and you said, I want to
- 34:20do this because this is special and that was one of the reasons
- 34:25that I have always had so much respect for you because I always
- 34:28I always liked her because I was like she's just such an amazing
- 34:31person. Know it's true though because
- 34:33because you were onto something and you still are because that
- 34:37specific Procedure is so sensitive and it's so special
- 34:42and not a lot of people do it, and there's almost no one that
- 34:45does it here. And a lot of times, there's it's
- 34:49at its being tattooed at the hands of a surgeon.
- 34:51It doesn't have like an art background or like a plan.
- 34:55It's like done in a very sterile medical fashion and like you can
- 34:59tattoo a nipple on some of you and like do the circles.
- 35:01Yeah. And do nothing but you're not
- 35:03coming at it from the Viewpoint of an artist.
- 35:05Yeah. Like I would have Dawn do that.
- 35:07Yeah for I had like Someone at, you know, one of the plastic
- 35:10surgery office is do it. Yeah.
- 35:11Because like you can see that and you can visualize it and
- 35:14when you brought that in your like I'm doing this project, I
- 35:16want to do this thing, I was like fuck yes Graham let's do
- 35:19it. Because that's so cool and I
- 35:21have been so I don't do that yet.
- 35:23I'm planning on doing it eventually.
- 35:25I know I'm excited for his. You helped me out a lot when
- 35:28that when I was working towards all of that because a lot of
- 35:31that stems from my mom. Of course, my mom was the one
- 35:33who shared all of that experience with me.
- 35:36Yeah. And to your point, it is such a
- 35:39Sacred thing, and it's personal because again from the patient
- 35:43side of it, they're already in hospitals.
- 35:46There are ready always getting picked out all of that.
- 35:50All that experience is already traumatizing, sure.
- 35:52So, when you're helping restore something well, and that that
- 35:56wasn't something that they can't aerial attaching specifically.
- 35:58So, I have to shout out to one of my very best friends and my
- 36:02mentor in the industry of permanent makeup, Cara
- 36:04Gutierrez, but she's at spot on beauty and Lee's Summit
- 36:07Missouri. I'm right outside of Kansas
- 36:09City. As she retrained me on a lot of
- 36:12permanent makeup Services because I was taught from the
- 36:15perspective of people that only do primitive a cup.
- 36:17Which like I said earlier is very different, so the
- 36:19techniques didn't really click in my brain.
- 36:21I'm like, why couldn't I just, you know, instead of using a
- 36:23four flat on somebody's eyeliner, why can't I just use
- 36:26an eighth? Round Shader and do it the way
- 36:27that I would do a tattoo on their forehead, you know?
- 36:31And I'm looking at John, because I know you understand like the
- 36:34technical Parts. But coming from a tattoo
- 36:37background, she was my Because she was a traditionally trained
- 36:40tattoo artist, first and then became like a really prolific
- 36:43permanent makeup. So like I would hit her up and
- 36:45be like, you know, could I just use like a 13 curved mag on this
- 36:47lady's lips instead of trying to use a tight 3 and like do 30
- 36:51passes on her? And she's like, Fuck.
- 36:52Yeah. Do it.
- 36:53And I'll be like, ok, cool. And so I went up and retrain
- 36:56with Karen. She and I just became really
- 36:57good friends. She has a non-profit through
- 37:01spot on beauty where she raises money for.
- 37:03She does aerial arrested for restoration.
- 37:05That's like her biggest service. Yeah, her nonprofit.
- 37:08They do a fundraiser every year and they put all that money into
- 37:11the nonprofit so that when women want to come to her for that,
- 37:16they pay for their service and they pay for their travel.
- 37:20And so if someone's in, you know, New Hampshire and they
- 37:23want to come to Kara, to get their areolas done, she'll
- 37:25fucking pay for it. Wow, that's so, and show.
- 37:28Even like, and they'll even like let like their partner come.
- 37:31Wow, that's pretty whatever they have that emotional support.
- 37:33So I began working with Cara and kind of seeing that.
- 37:35She, I have worked several conventions together.
- 37:37Yeah, and Will do areola of restoration and I've done, I've
- 37:41worked some like tattooed at some of her fundraisers and
- 37:43that's a little breast cancer. I do for my mom to as well,
- 37:46because she had to get surgically removed because they
- 37:50found like a like a, what's it called?
- 37:54Like a lump? Yes.
- 37:56Yeah. And you know such a lot back to
- 37:58me. Yeah.
- 37:58So her Ariel is not look the same sure.
- 38:01So I've been, you know, I've been wanting to find.
- 38:04Someone could do that for her to say it's huge.
- 38:07And yeah, the The thing is, is that with breast cancer.
- 38:11So I got to work with Kara several times and I've seen her
- 38:15work on survivors and the thing about areola restoration that I
- 38:19think is so special. Is that that's the last thing?
- 38:22Yeah like that is the button that that seals up all of this
- 38:26fucking horrible. Like trauma that a woman has
- 38:30been through. We're man has been through.
- 38:32Yeah. And they go through their
- 38:36diagnosis. They go through being sick
- 38:37before. Diagnosis they go Through their
- 38:40deconstructive surgery. They go through their
- 38:42reconstructive surgery and you can't tattoo an areola until all
- 38:46of that is over. Yeah, so for them, when they
- 38:48look in the mirror, the last reminder that they have of this
- 38:51horrible battle that they've been through, is the fact that
- 38:55they're, you know, they're not how they were, and it's also
- 38:58difficult for their partners because their Partners, watch
- 39:01them go through that and they're like their Partners have
- 39:03supported them through that. And now, you're looking at a
- 39:05person who doesn't look like they did before this and it's A
- 39:08constant reminder, you know? And so to me like being able to
- 39:12give that back to someone, like I can't imagine something that
- 39:17is more important than that. Yeah, and I've seen there is a
- 39:20biggest prize in its gigantic. Yeah.
- 39:23And that comes from tattooing, and that comes from like my love
- 39:28for tattooing and the way that it makes someone feel like, you
- 39:32know, if you can't like a cheeseburger tattooed on your
- 39:35thigh and that shit makes you laugh, you know what I mean?
- 39:39Yeah, that's so cool to me and if it goes deeper than that and
- 39:43you're getting, you know, your Aerials restored because you
- 39:46went throughout the to me, that's this.
- 39:48It's not on the same level but the mental game is the same.
- 39:51Yeah. And so, like, if you can look at
- 39:54that and it's like and to me, it's so silly.
- 39:56It's like I draw pictures on people all day.
- 39:58Like, that's like when you look at that, it's like that is, this
- 40:02is the silliest job but when you can, you use it in a way like
- 40:06that? Like it's gigantic.
- 40:08Yeah. And we had a.
- 40:10So that's that's the thing that I really, really want to get get
- 40:12into. And right now I'm just like,
- 40:14dipping my toes in that and excite.
- 40:16And when I do it all day, like I'll be training with Kara but
- 40:20she and I have worked together on several projects and she
- 40:24works inside hospitals to like she has her place.
- 40:26So she's able to go to to the hospital and do it post-op.
- 40:31Oh so when and that's one of the things that I really want to
- 40:34work towards in Wichita because we don't have that service here
- 40:37now I agree and it like Honestly, the fact that she is
- 40:42holding fundraisers to help these, people also even get to
- 40:45this location and have up their partner come with them.
- 40:47That's the only reason that my mom was able to extend her life
- 40:50as much as she did at that time. When we found the hospital that
- 40:54we did. Several other specialty
- 40:56hospitals, we had gone through so many had already told us at
- 41:01that time that she was nearing the end of her life and it was
- 41:06either going to be cancer or heart attack.
- 41:08Sure. And And so, when we found the
- 41:10other hospital that we went to, they paid for travel and that
- 41:15was a lot of the times, like that is what it comes down to
- 41:18it. So special.
- 41:19Yeah, and well, you also have to look at like with the areola
- 41:22restoration or sometimes even with brows like the Brows can be
- 41:27sometimes just as important because the browser, you know,
- 41:30that words exhibit, somebody sees all the time and if you
- 41:32lost your brows to chemo or radiation, and that happens with
- 41:35that is also a constant reminder in the mirror, but that's also
- 41:38Something that everyone sees, whereas like with, areola
- 41:41Restorations, just you and like maybe your partner, maybe like
- 41:44close family. Yeah.
- 41:46So to me, it's like kind of the same and the people that go
- 41:51through these treatments and at that point, they're fucking
- 41:54tapped on money. Yeah, exactly.
- 41:58Yeah, yeah, yeah. So for me, like, I know that
- 42:02when I am able to provide areola services like it's going to be
- 42:06at no cost. Oh yeah.
- 42:07Like because and I don't know if It will be via setting up like
- 42:09nonprofit. I know that sometimes if you
- 42:12work inside of a hospital setting, you can build it
- 42:14insurance which is cool because that kind of takes the pressure
- 42:16off. But like I can't imagine a
- 42:21situation where I would feel good about charging for that
- 42:24service because at that point like they've been through so
- 42:28much shit. Yeah and a lot of times you're
- 42:30traveling to dr. So yeah, you know, like your
- 42:33mom, you're missing work, you have children relying on you and
- 42:36your family relying on you. And unfortunately the way Our
- 42:38country is setup, doesn't support people that go through
- 42:41chronic illness. Yeah.
- 42:42And they just, don't my sister, she passed away.
- 42:46I think she passed away. Six years ago with her cancer to
- 42:48as well. I'm so sorry.
- 42:50Thank you, she lived a great life.
- 42:52That's that. What keeps me?
- 42:53How do you know? She lived a great life, I have
- 42:55everything what she she wanted before my sister passed away,
- 42:59she wanted. My sister was young, she was
- 43:02like like two years younger than me and she's have long
- 43:08beautiful. Careful hair, long hair and she
- 43:11was like, when she lost all that because the chemo, you know, she
- 43:14was like I need eyebrows and I was like, you know what?
- 43:18I'll pay you to get your eyebrows done.
- 43:20Like I, I would do that for you. I'll find anybody to do it for
- 43:23you, right? Like they're on October, I found
- 43:28someone to do it and I was like, hey, I need this ASAP because I
- 43:30know for sure. My sister is not going to last a
- 43:32lot longer. So the lady goes yeah, I'll get
- 43:35her in at this state within like my Passed away two weeks before
- 43:40her surgery for her tattoos for her brows.
- 43:43But while I was, so when my sister passed away, we're
- 43:47getting her ready to, you know, for her funeral and everything
- 43:49like that. I was like, okay, I'm going to
- 43:53draw my sister's eyebrows for her.
- 43:54Girl, I did. So I drew her eyebrows and it
- 43:58looked fucking just kiss and like I feel like, you know, I
- 44:03still have some guilt like man, I wish I could have got hurried
- 44:06it sooner, but the same time like I'm I'm happy, you did what
- 44:09you could? I did.
- 44:10What I had to do for her. Yeah, well and that's it's
- 44:13interesting that you've had that experience because one of my
- 44:15first like tastes of that world, I'm going to permanent makeup
- 44:20just like honestly, like everything I do is a business
- 44:22move first. Yeah, because I am a mother and
- 44:26my husband is chronically ill and he is like, mostly unable to
- 44:29work, so he stays home with her kids.
- 44:31So like I have to support a household of four, like, that's
- 44:33first and foremost. Yeah, and I would love to sit
- 44:35here and say that like my love for tattooing is first, but it's
- 44:37not my Love for my family as first.
- 44:40So everything I do is business move.
- 44:42So getting into permanent makeup was like bitches.
- 44:44One browser would give them browse and I'm gonna make like a
- 44:48lot of money doing. And then that like once you kind
- 44:53of step into that world, you know, you realize that it's a
- 44:55lot deeper than that. And I had this gal, her name was
- 44:58Marjorie and her son is a. His name is Dale black.
- 45:04It'd be so cool. If you heard this because the
- 45:05story, I don't even know if he knows how special this is.
- 45:07His mom. Was to me and how special this
- 45:09story is. But I was working a Saturday.
- 45:12I'm like be-bopping around making stupid jokes being an
- 45:14idiot and this couple came or not couple that this younger guy
- 45:19and older woman come in in the woman's in a wheelchair.
- 45:23And he he says hey this is my mom.
- 45:27My mom's, my mom was at the nail salon and there was lady next to
- 45:30her and they were talking about getting their brows tattooed.
- 45:33And my mom had her eyebrows tattooed a long time ago.
- 45:35And they've turned pink. Yeah, just the thing that can
- 45:37happen Fades. Yeah, yeah.
- 45:38Not always but yeah, it's done, right?
- 45:40It doesn't but sometimes it does because mine doesn't fade.
- 45:43Yeah, exactly. So, but it's a thing that
- 45:46happens. Yeah.
- 45:47She's a dark skinned Lady. It's of the pink was really like
- 45:50bright and obvious. There's a lot of contrast in her
- 45:52skin. She was self-conscious about it.
- 45:53She'd been penciling all the time right, right.
- 45:55So she did her son had obviously helped her into the shop and he
- 45:59says you know, my tells me the story and I was like oh yeah
- 46:03like no problem. I'll get your eyebrows done girl
- 46:05like what do you got? And I like kind of chucked her
- 46:07out and she's like this precious little Old lady.
- 46:09And I'm like, yeah, I got you, like, I'll do this for you.
- 46:13Mmm. And at the time I was booking in
- 46:15year out. Mm-hmm.
- 46:17And which I've scaled back now where I'm like, only booking a
- 46:19couple months at a time because I got to where I was over a year
- 46:22and I was like, I can't function her plan, this is weird and I
- 46:25work like 40 to 50 hours a week. So I'm not talking about being
- 46:28booked a year out, one tattoo a day.
- 46:30Like this is full-time like grinding.
- 46:32Yeah, always, yeah. And Roxy.
- 46:34Yeah, yeah. Thank you.
- 46:36But I was like kind of getting overwhelmed by Being that far
- 46:40out because you can't, you can't plan anything, and especially as
- 46:42a mom, like, my kids will have like a choir concert that we
- 46:45know about seven days in advance.
- 46:46When I woke up, I got a 10 hour day that day.
- 46:48Yeah. And then I don't have anywhere
- 46:50to put clients. Yeah, so I end up just looking
- 46:52too much time. Anyway, at that point I was
- 46:53about a year out so I tell her you know, I looked and I had
- 46:56actually had a cancellation that was like three months later
- 46:59former now four months later maybe.
- 47:01So I say to her. Yeah, I'd be happy to do this
- 47:02for you. I think my next opening is this
- 47:05date four months out and she was so kind and she Is like, oh,
- 47:09honey. And she like kind of did the old
- 47:11lady like, like slap, you know? Yeah, she said, I am so proud of
- 47:15your success and this is the first time I've ever met her and
- 47:18she said that is just so great for you, but I don't know that
- 47:22I'll be here then and I was like, like are you moving?
- 47:27Because this Saturday and I was like, woah and she turns out she
- 47:34had terminal cancer. Hmm.
- 47:35And she was just riding it out and she Told me that she and she
- 47:40was so sweet because, you know, so many clients, get that her
- 47:43and like you Dad, where it's like, oh you're you're out.
- 47:46I'm not going to fucking wait for that and you're like okay
- 47:47and this lady was like she needed it by a certain time.
- 47:51Yeah. For the most serious reason you
- 47:54could need a tattoo. Yeah.
- 47:56And she said she told me that she just wanted to look like
- 48:01herself in her casket. Wow.
- 48:05Because she Drew her brows on and she was like I don't know if
- 48:08the The funeral home will make me look like myself.
- 48:11Yeah, that is true and she wanted an open casket funeral.
- 48:15And you know, they were obviously like from a religious
- 48:19background, she was going to do the big funeral thing and she
- 48:21wanted to look like who she was and so I was like, come in
- 48:24Sunday, let's do this. So her son Dale, brought her in
- 48:30the first session and I'm in this precious lady she could
- 48:33barely she couldn't get on the table by herself.
- 48:35Like he was like picking her out of her chair and putting her on
- 48:38my table. So I'm like shook you know what
- 48:40I mean? Because like all like for like
- 48:43days before that I my God like this is going to be so heavy and
- 48:47like such a big deal and so I did our first session and I told
- 48:50her this is a color correction which with like if you guys came
- 48:53in and need a car crash, I'm Doug.
- 48:54We need three sessions, six weeks apart.
- 48:57This is going to be a whole thing but for her I was like,
- 49:00we're going to rock these out. We're going to try and like, do
- 49:02our best to get you to this point because I think we, we
- 49:04were on borrowed time. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:06And so, we did our first session and then She was scheduled for a
- 49:11second session and her son ended up, hitting me up and saying
- 49:14that his mom had taken a turn and was like, put into the
- 49:16hospital before the second session.
- 49:19And anyway, she ended up passing away before we do the second
- 49:21session. So I never saw her again.
- 49:23Like, it was the only interaction that we ever had but
- 49:27he her son had reached out to me to let me know that she had died
- 49:32and just that part of it, I was like, I spent an hour and a half
- 49:37with this woman out of like Her entire life.
- 49:40And for the fact, like the fact that I was like on the call list
- 49:44to let know that she had passed away shit and it know you're
- 49:47fine, but it wasn't like a we were already past her
- 49:50appointment. Like it wasn't we're letting you
- 49:52know that you're not going to like to lose your time.
- 49:55It was just like they included me.
- 49:58Yeah. On a list of like the most
- 50:00important people in their lives to let me know that she had
- 50:03passed just because like I tattooed her fucking eyebrows.
- 50:07Like that's so wild. Mmm.
- 50:09And that was like the first taste that I got of that where I
- 50:13was like shit. This is like a big deal and it's
- 50:17so crazy that you said that you put your sisters eyebrows on
- 50:21because I offered to come really.
- 50:24I was like I will come to the funeral home and I will put your
- 50:28mom's eyebrows on. Yeah.
- 50:30And I will make her look like herself.
- 50:32You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 50:33And fortunately, the first session that we did had held.
- 50:38Okay. That's good.
- 50:39So it was close enough. The the people that were doing
- 50:42her makeup for her service. Yeah.
- 50:44Could just kind of Follow that. Yeah.
- 50:46But I was ready for it. Yeah, you know, I was like this
- 50:49is gonna be the weirdest shit out because you know how she
- 50:52wants it because I know how she wants.
- 50:53Yes. And I know how my sister wants
- 50:55to look. So I'm like and that's your
- 50:57sister guess like that and I don't know this lady you know
- 51:00like this is just like so this wait that's a great Bond.
- 51:03Yes no no the I mean it is yeah but the weight of what you did
- 51:08for your Sister like that's gigantic because like, that's
- 51:11your sister man. Like, that's way different.
- 51:14And just I'm just telling you like, especially that story like
- 51:17a to like tie into like what all of that like kind of represents
- 51:20for me, but like fuck. Yeah, dude you did.
- 51:22That's amazing. So like with any, you know, when
- 51:26we first heard about it, the doctor said three years for her.
- 51:29Sure she ride it out 28. That's what she did.
- 51:32She write it out to eight and eight years.
- 51:36Damn, that's amazing. Good for her and You know my
- 51:40sister. She told me she's like I don't
- 51:42want people to feel sad for me. You don't feel, you know, be
- 51:45cautious about me. He's like I'm gonna do what I
- 51:48want to do and she fucking did it.
- 51:50We took her to Disney World. We took her to all these places
- 51:53you know? Because it doesn't matter a if
- 51:56you're going to leave it's the it's the memories because like
- 52:00we had, we did this together. Well, you know, you know, and
- 52:04I've always been of the opinion that the only people that hurt
- 52:06when someone passes are the people that are left.
- 52:08Yep. You know what I mean?
- 52:09Yeah. Like your mom is not upset.
- 52:12Your sister's not upset. Yeah, not correct.
- 52:14It's just it's just us. It's for selfish reasons because
- 52:17we want to keep them here. Yeah.
- 52:18Oh yeah, that whole experience was definitely tough.
- 52:23Yeah, I will say that I do. This is a great platform
- 52:30especially with you two girls, like sharing your experiences
- 52:33and your story with me that I do.
- 52:38I've never. Posted about this or said,
- 52:43anything publicly about it. It's a thing that I just sort of
- 52:47do but I have enough brow clients that end up.
- 52:51I have to review a medical history to do brows that.
- 52:54We don't normally have to do, hmm.
- 52:56And they will always list at one of my questions is, if you've
- 52:59been through cancer treatment or radiation.
- 53:01Yeah. And because it affects their
- 53:03skin so much and I need to know where they're at because also,
- 53:05if you're an active treatment, there's things that I can and
- 53:08can't do because of secondary infection.
- 53:10Even things like that and being your skin and your immune system
- 53:13are already compromised, like the It kind of sometimes damage
- 53:16got hot. Yeah, so I and this, I'm
- 53:21hesitant to even ever say like publicly, but I will because it
- 53:25seems like the appropriate time and platform with you girls.
- 53:29But I once a month, if I have someone that has checked that
- 53:32they've been through cancer radiation treatment I just do
- 53:36their service. And then at the end, I calmed
- 53:38their brows. So That is definitely a thing
- 53:42that like I haven't wanted to necessarily be public about
- 53:45because I'm also like the cynic in me is kind of scared of
- 53:49people taking advantage of 3, right?
- 53:50Yeah. But it is also something that I
- 53:52would like to sort of make known.
- 53:54Because if I do have clients that have friends or loved ones,
- 53:58that are going through cancer treatment, I would like for them
- 54:01to be able to reach out and you say, hey my girlfriend's going
- 54:05through this or she just beat the shit out of this and she
- 54:09wants to get her eyebrows done. And it's just like kind of a fun
- 54:12thing I do and I'll usually just do the whole service and they
- 54:15will come in and they'll agree to pay like a trip $600 for
- 54:18brows. It's a, it's an expense.
- 54:20Oh yeah, it's it's not. Yeah, keep and do not and don't
- 54:25usually agree to pay this $600. And they'll book and I won't
- 54:29even know what the time why they're booking.
- 54:31Yeah, I paid 500 for mine. Yeah, exactly.
- 54:33And then all see like on their Med history and like will go
- 54:36through it and I don't bring up cancer because I don't Okay,
- 54:41tell me about your cancer on. Yeah, day that you're having but
- 54:44a lot of times like, they feel like they need to tell me
- 54:47because I'll be asking about like brow history met history,
- 54:50you know. Yeah.
- 54:51And they'll tell me their stories.
- 54:52And then if it is like cancer based or like they lost their
- 54:55browser treatment then like before, like when they go to
- 54:57pay, they're like, you know, and I'm like this, these are on me,
- 55:00like you've paid for enough shit.
- 55:03Well, fucking the man would be. No, I'm not.
- 55:06It's you are. It's an hour and a half of my
- 55:09time. And I it's just I know that it
- 55:15makes an impact. That particular thing is not
- 55:19self-serving. It does make me feel good, but
- 55:22it's just like, I tattooing is ridiculous.
- 55:25I'm a hundred and forty dollars an hour, some people are two
- 55:29hundred dollars an hour, you can't retain a lawyer for that
- 55:33sometime, you know what I mean? Like it's fucking stupid, how
- 55:38much money we make and it's Thing that people don't want to
- 55:41talk about because everyone wants to talk about how they put
- 55:43their heads down, and they work so hard and like tattooing is so
- 55:46serious and so tough, the amount of money that we get paid for
- 55:50what we do is fucking outrageous.
- 55:53My mom has worked in a factory for almost 30 years, you know
- 55:58what I mean, she works in no air conditioning.
- 56:02She works her ass off. She comes in for mandatory
- 56:04overtime. She sacrifices her family to do
- 56:06that. People were worst jobs and they
- 56:08make fucking $12 an hour. Yeah.
- 56:10Yeah, I draw pictures on people, four hundred and forty dollars
- 56:14an hour that's stupid. You know what I mean?
- 56:18And no one's going to say that no one's going to talk about
- 56:21that. So if I can put this lady's
- 56:23eyebrows on for free, in an hour and a half, fucking why not?
- 56:27Yeah. Yeah.
- 56:29You know what I mean? Like there's literally no reason
- 56:32that people. And I support a family of four
- 56:36on that. Yeah.
- 56:37And meet throwing this lady some eyebrows like that's not going
- 56:41to take food out of my kids mouth.
- 56:42Hmm you know what I mean? So not taking that approach to
- 56:47me is like it's it's a little bit selfish like and I'm not
- 56:54saying that anybody owes that to anyone but like I've I mean I've
- 56:58known of tattooers that have you know comped I'll tell you shout
- 57:03out to fucking calm. Or Cam, I'm always say his name
- 57:07wrong. Yeah, that's her uncle.
- 57:10Is it vagina? Get that out?
- 57:11Check this out because I love him.
- 57:17So he and I had only met in person one time and we're
- 57:21supposed to be competition. You know what I mean?
- 57:23Yeah, because that's how everything set up.
- 57:25Yeah, I had a 17 year old girl. Who had been sex trafficked.
- 57:30Wow. She had received a big tattoo
- 57:33from the person that had sex trafficked.
- 57:34Her and it was extremely awful. It was on her forearm, it was a
- 57:38constant reminder of this awful. Shit.
- 57:40Horrible. Trauma, that she'd been through
- 57:42her, someone in her family, reached out to me.
- 57:44Hey, can you do this? Unfortunately, we don't tattoo
- 57:47under 18 because of insurance reasons.
- 57:49Yeah. And so I said, you know, I can't
- 57:52I said but I think symbolical tattoo, it 17.
- 57:55I'm not totally sure. So I hit cam up camp, okay.
- 57:59And I say hey man, you know, I've got the scroll, you know, I
- 58:02know I trust you, I know that you do nice work Because there's
- 58:05other shops will touch you like 16 and I'm not going to fucking
- 58:08send somebody there. Yeah.
- 58:09It's a traumatic experience. Yeah.
- 58:11I'm like nope. We're not going to add to that
- 58:14today. Not on my name.
- 58:15Yeah. But I know him well enough to
- 58:17know that I like the way that he does business and I know that
- 58:19he's very respectful to his clients.
- 58:20I know that takes it very seriously so I hit him up with
- 58:23like barely knowing me and was like, hey here's a situation and
- 58:27he was like, I got her Xander, it like, send me her phone
- 58:31number and like, he brought her in and tattooed her.
- 58:34Like they had an amazing experience and like to me like
- 58:37there's just no reason not to do that.
- 58:40Yeah, yeah. And that's like kind of I feel
- 58:44like I made this so heavy and so if I can do it, I want to do it
- 58:54and it's it's one of the reasons like what you brought up earlier
- 58:58about like, how I'm always like outspoken and loud about like
- 59:00trans rights and gay rights and yeah women's It's like I'm not
- 59:05even necessarily an activist. Like I don't even consider
- 59:07myself like a feminist, it's just that.
- 59:11Especially in a tattooing space, I feel like it started out being
- 59:18a French activity and it started out where all the weirdos and
- 59:21all the Freaks and all the, you know, we're getting tattooed and
- 59:25then at some point it shifted into this, this different
- 59:30creature, that sort of alienated people who are vulnerable.
- 59:34Vulnerable. Yeah.
- 59:35And I really would like to make like leave a mark on on
- 59:40tattooing and like create a space.
- 59:42That feels safe for my clients like because I do think that
- 59:45like tattooing is very personal and it requires a certain amount
- 59:48of trust between your artist, you know, from your artist and
- 59:53your client. And I would like to make sure
- 59:55that female clients and trans clients and clients of color can
- 1:00:00come into a place where they feel like they're safe.
- 1:00:02Yeah. And They're not going to get
- 1:00:05told like that. Their skin is too dark for
- 1:00:07services. Yeah.
- 1:00:08Where are they can't get a color tattoo because of who they are
- 1:00:11or you know, the way that they look and they're not going to
- 1:00:15get chastised for having self harm scars covered up, which is
- 1:00:20the thing. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:21And it's just that's like basically it for me.
- 1:00:26But I also want to do your SpongeBob tattoos.
- 1:00:30I love it. We have a chat with all Three of
- 1:00:35us. And they're talking about a
- 1:00:38SpongeBob tattoo, and then she was like, DNA Listia, special
- 1:00:42tattoo, because Emily's, a fucking pussy.
- 1:00:44And I was like, I don't say fucking I just said, Pussy.
- 1:00:47Well, anyways, cuz that's better.
- 1:00:50Yeah, I did.
- 1:01:02I was her husband over there, right?
- 1:01:03Right. She had something scheduled
- 1:01:07cancelled on him. I heard that in one of the
- 1:01:09episodes. Yeah.
- 1:01:11Well I was I was can't. How much notice did you give
- 1:01:14this, man? I don't even know, are you so do
- 1:01:17you actively tattooing? Cool.
- 1:01:19Have you been how long have you been doing so?
- 1:01:23Are you licensed tattooing? Are you still practicing my
- 1:01:26written test? You haven't taken your written,
- 1:01:28yet. I failed the log questions, and
- 1:01:32so the second part, So are you guys testing out and we lost
- 1:01:36homie over here is people on that that was all my diatribe
- 1:01:44literally put a man to that's how interesting.
- 1:02:06The bartender's. Are you guys testing locally now
- 1:02:12or do you have to go to Topeka stole who's testing you out?
- 1:02:23I bought some bald guy talk to her.
- 1:02:26Yeah. In local culture?
- 1:02:30Yeah. Because we used to go to Topeka.
- 1:02:32Yeah, but I heard recently that they had like had some people in
- 1:02:35town where you just like pop over and do your test.
- 1:02:38So they're going to let you retake it though.
- 1:02:39Okay cool, it'll be. It'll be Charlie.
- 1:02:42There's Kansas law, shit. Yeah, you got the handbook,
- 1:02:48right? Why do you not have that?
- 1:02:54How do you not have the handbook?
- 1:02:57He is a struggle. Hold on, Chris.
- 1:03:05Give your blood the handbook. It has all the lie that sir I
- 1:03:20have the handbook. Is here to help everyone all
- 1:03:31around. We just bring people together.
- 1:03:52They're practical. Yes yeah so when I went to do my
- 1:03:54practical and Deepika, I pulled up we were running late and you
- 1:03:59know how they're like well it least it used to be like if
- 1:04:01you're a fucking here by this time you can't test and ye won't
- 1:04:06retest you for six months. Damn.
- 1:04:08And so we're hauling ass to Topeka.
- 1:04:10Of course I'm directionally challenged because I really
- 1:04:14hate. I realized that when I told you
- 1:04:16where the door was at I told you it's on the east side it's
- 1:04:18actually I think this is North so I fucking light.
- 1:04:21Listen, I I want to have no idea.
- 1:04:23I forgot to tell you what I want, right?
- 1:04:26As bit. I was born in this city and I
- 1:04:44have know if I'm driving from my house place.
- 1:04:48If I have to go from my house to another place and then that
- 1:04:50place. I'm a girl will Google my magic.
- 1:04:53Imagine both of us in the car. She I'd be like Fanny will be on
- 1:04:56your right? She goes left and I don't hate
- 1:05:00you. I don't even notice it till
- 1:05:02later. I'm but I'm driving children
- 1:05:07laugh? And I won't notice.
- 1:05:09And I'm like, wait, I think we're going the wrong way.
- 1:05:11She's an asshole. She don't tell me the right way.
- 1:05:14I wouldn't know. It's okay.
- 1:05:20So I got us lost. I know waited to be good.
- 1:05:23And so now we're like dry to make up for time.
- 1:05:25And I'm already freaked out because I have to go try and
- 1:05:28take this test which is terrifying.
- 1:05:31Like not to discredit it. Like you're scared shit.
- 1:05:34When you go do it and yeah, we were almost late.
- 1:05:37So I'm like, pull up really quick and there's this guy out
- 1:05:41in front of the state boards office and he's on the cell on
- 1:05:44his cell phone and he's throwing shit around.
- 1:05:46And he's like, fuck these motherfuckers, they blah blah
- 1:05:49blah, blah blah, and like fucking pass.
- 1:05:52On some bullshit and I'm like, oh my God, this guy didn't pass
- 1:05:57anybody pass know like and then we might go in and the people,
- 1:06:05the board you have to sit in front of and it's very awkward
- 1:06:07because at the time there were three people.
- 1:06:09Yeah, and you're doing your practical or you do everything,
- 1:06:11but tattoo front to back, and they don't say shit.
- 1:06:15They said you like this and you just have to like do all yours
- 1:06:20that I wish I wear wearing. Like those old wigs.
- 1:06:24You know? Like the for the powder away.
- 1:06:28Yes. Yeah.
- 1:06:29And they they don't say anything.
- 1:06:31So if you're blowing it you have no idea or if you're killing,
- 1:06:34you have no idea. Yeah, so you're just like doing
- 1:06:36this. If you have to bring a client so
- 1:06:38I brought my best friend. Yeah, she had to fill out my
- 1:06:41release forms. That we go over med history.
- 1:06:44Yeah, there it is right there. I love those.
- 1:06:46And so this bitch to this day is my best friend and she puts down
- 1:06:51Take that she's a sulfa allergy released for and like, and I
- 1:07:00Breeze, right past it, you know, and I'm like, okay, okay, yeah,
- 1:07:04looks good, looks good, you're good.
- 1:07:06And then they're like, what about herself allergy?
- 1:07:10And at the time, I'm with what the fuck is that?
- 1:07:12Like, you best soul food? Like it, sulfur, what is this?
- 1:07:16Like I said sofa like what? And that's, that's puts that
- 1:07:30down and I'm being tested like, they're like, well, you know,
- 1:07:36you didn't talk to her about herself allergy and I'm like, oh
- 1:07:39shit yourself out. This second we got in the car,
- 1:07:44bitch. I was like, are you fucking
- 1:07:46kidding me? Yeah, you really put that shit
- 1:07:49down. You couldn't just check.
- 1:07:50No. And I might best for like she
- 1:07:53also has like, very high anxiety like me and she was like, I just
- 1:07:56panicked and told the truth. Yeah.
- 1:08:02She's like I just did the thing and I was like oh fuck.
- 1:08:06And so yeah, I got counted off for that and I was like thanks a
- 1:08:08lot for coming along. You're like next client.
- 1:08:12It was pretty funny that would but good luck to you.
- 1:08:16I'm so glad you have it. New testing date.
- 1:08:22So it's literally just that written wait.
- 1:08:25So they let you take the Practical before you pass the
- 1:08:27written test. See we used to have to do the to
- 1:08:31writtens. You'd have to pass before they
- 1:08:33let you take the profitable. Yes.
- 1:08:38Yeah, the Kansas laws because we used to only have no, we only
- 1:08:45took one, we had 100 question written test, but it was like
- 1:08:48all melted into one thing and you had to pass that Before you
- 1:08:52can move on the Practical. So they would check you on the
- 1:08:55spot and if you failed it, they wouldn't let you do the
- 1:08:56practical. Damn.
- 1:08:58Yeah. So you to past that first and
- 1:09:00then they're like you have to sit in a waiting room and they'd
- 1:09:02be like, okay, you passed and then go to the Practical and
- 1:09:05then if you pass out, you got licensed.
- 1:09:06Yeah, that same day. Yeah, that's same thing on, when
- 1:09:10you try to get your nail tech license to us.
- 1:09:12Well, well, yeah, because Board of Cosmetology.
- 1:09:15They run a lot of us. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:17Yeah. Fucking assholes, man.
- 1:09:18They just want money. I failed my blood spill it when
- 1:09:21I because I went to nail school to us.
- 1:09:23Well, okay. And I failed the the blood one.
- 1:09:26So they're like, okay you need come back and take It within
- 1:09:28another, you know, six months. So I did I passed it and I just
- 1:09:33never renewed. It just never did, just never
- 1:09:36dead. Um, yeah, I mean, I feel like
- 1:09:39with tattooing the state is what they can, unfortunately, the
- 1:09:43Board of Cosmetology there, dude, they're their resources
- 1:09:46are so small compared to the massive amount of businesses and
- 1:09:51people that they oversee. So I think they, I think they do
- 1:09:54their best but we don't have Any representation on the board
- 1:10:00right now? As far as I know, when I had
- 1:10:03spoken with Denzel, when he was proposing.
- 1:10:06His yes, yeah. And with us, I he's now going to
- 1:10:11be representing, yes, I'm tattoo artists on the board.
- 1:10:14I don't remember if he said that on the episode, so I'm really
- 1:10:16sorry. Denzel if I just outed you, all
- 1:10:18right. He said, he went to to judge,
- 1:10:20right? He shared a couple other things
- 1:10:23but we don't we can talk about it off.
- 1:10:25No, it's fine. He I actually Lee attended the
- 1:10:30the meeting that he had about his school opening, opening a
- 1:10:34school and moving forward with that because they wanted to get
- 1:10:36some like local opinions. And to be honest with you, like
- 1:10:39I was completely against it and I still am pretty against it but
- 1:10:42Denzel and I talked from what at least I feel like and I hope he
- 1:10:46agrees with me from like a level of, of mutual respect of just
- 1:10:49having a different opinion and I respect.
- 1:10:51And is all very much. I think that I like I like the
- 1:10:55way that he works. I just think that he's Maybe
- 1:11:01diving into something that he doesn't quite have figured out.
- 1:11:03Yeah, I do hope that he is, what point being I said, hey, you
- 1:11:09know, if you are serious about wanting to give back to
- 1:11:11tattooing and you want to move this in a forward Direction.
- 1:11:14Represent us at the state because we don't have
- 1:11:17representation. Yeah.
- 1:11:19Because they, they have like hair salons, first, nail salons,
- 1:11:23tanning salons. Like it's a lot and then
- 1:11:25tattooing is like very small part of that. so it would be
- 1:11:28fucking rad if Denzel ended up on the, you know, working with
- 1:11:32the board to sort of represent that and and Bring that kind of
- 1:11:38back to the ground level of tattooing.
- 1:11:40I think that'd be really awesome.
- 1:11:42Yeah yeah well I think you've shared a real a lot of really
- 1:11:47awesome. Insights.
- 1:11:48A lot of stories we're really excited.
- 1:11:51Sorry I was responding to something here.
- 1:11:53You're amazing. Human being you really, are you
- 1:11:55really are? I really excited.
- 1:11:57I fell in love with you by the day.
- 1:11:59You walked those damn doors. Can I say one more thing?
- 1:12:03Yeah, because you said that you're in love with me.

- 1:12:09my love to Brittany and I just want to make sure that I say
