- 0:30Speaker 4: What do they all have in common?
- 0:32Speaker 5: Well, for one, they're all filmmakers. But what people might
- 0:37Speaker 5: not know is that they're also brothers. Today we're sitting
- 0:40Speaker 5: down with three of Hollywood's most successful brother directing duos.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Some say two heads are better than one, and others
- 0:48Speaker 2: say two directors are better than one.
- 0:50Speaker 6: Three too many. Let's stick with two.
- 0:54Speaker 7: Now, put in your two headphones and let's listen in.
- 1:00Speaker 1: How's it going? Everybody? My name is Brody Mitchell.
- 1:04Speaker 2: What's up, guys? And I'm Keith Mitchell.
- 1:06Speaker 1: And we are the Mitchell Brothers.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Nicolls, the Mitchell's, the Mitchell Brothers, the mitch Boys.
- 1:11Speaker 5: We are responsible for a lot of Sci Fi Original programming.
- 1:16Speaker 2: We made a tarential hurricane, we made a lizard volcano,
- 1:22Speaker 2: and of course we made Octopus Island. Octopus Island tsunami. Sorry,
- 1:29Speaker 2: I forgot about financial disaster.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, don't forget that.
- 1:32Speaker 2: You're the one who always You're the one who always
- 1:34Speaker 2: adds the dential disaster. I find the creature.
- 1:37Speaker 1: You gotta find the zest.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That's how we're a team. We're from San Diego. By
- 1:42Speaker 2: the way, are we supposed to say where we're from?
- 1:44Speaker 2: We did.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Hey, guys, I'm so good to be with you all.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Good morning. My name is Tex Bambi.
- 1:53Speaker 6: I'm Rex Bamby. We're the Bambi Brothers. We may have
- 1:57Speaker 6: seen a couple of our films in The Lightning Found
- 2:02Speaker 6: in the Woods, The Post Big Big Aelo. So we
- 2:08Speaker 6: did in The Lightning Found in the Woods, The Post
- 2:11Speaker 6: with Tom Hanks Meryl Stream.
- 2:15Speaker 7: So stoked to fucking be here. These are a bunch
- 2:19Speaker 7: of rad dudes.
- 2:20Speaker 6: Absolutely rad dudes.
- 2:22Speaker 8: Hello, Hello, Hello, man, Oh my god, what incredible company.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I am so humbled. Hi. I'm Alex Jorgensen Guinty.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I'm Sam and Jorgensen Guinty.
- 2:36Speaker 8: This is my little my little baby brother. I'm so
- 2:38Speaker 8: happy that that we're we're here today.
- 2:41Speaker 1: We we you.
- 2:41Speaker 8: Know, you may know us from some of our art
- 2:44Speaker 8: house films. You know we're around that sun Dance scene.
- 2:46Speaker 8: We're super blessed. We're super excited. You may know us
- 2:49Speaker 8: from the color of what and uh, Samon, what was
- 2:55Speaker 8: your your favorite one? And I want to let you
- 2:57Speaker 8: tell it.
- 2:58Speaker 4: My favorite is the one that didn't into Sun Dance.
- 3:00Speaker 4: We're across the street at slam Dence and that one
- 3:04Speaker 4: was sort of my my first foray into the writing
- 3:06Speaker 4: side of things.
- 3:07Speaker 2: But that one would have been Sounders.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Sounders.
- 3:11Speaker 8: That's right, that's right, that's right, and we're just we
- 3:15Speaker 8: couldn't be happier to be here.
- 3:16Speaker 1: We were just chuffed, absolutely.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Checked, and we said, you guys, we said where you're from.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Should we say how old we are?
- 3:22Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 3:23Speaker 4: Yeah, let's.
- 3:26Speaker 2: No, we don't.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I mean, we don't have to do age. It's I
- 3:28Speaker 1: feel like we're all yeah, it's well.
- 3:30Speaker 4: People kind of like they react positively when I say
- 3:32Speaker 4: how old I am, so I kind of like saying it.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I'm ten ten Yeah, Double Digits Club very recent.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Congratu Sounders.
- 3:41Speaker 5: I was nine, No way, no, how can I ask
- 3:45Speaker 5: how old you were when you did Sound of What,
- 3:48Speaker 5: because that is uh, I mean that broke my brain.
- 3:51Speaker 1: That was so good.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Uh yeah, Color of What. Sorry, I just like, I
- 3:55Speaker 2: don't know, you don't have to be sorry. I just
- 4:02Speaker 2: this is Brodie's bad.
- 4:04Speaker 4: And I actually don't do nap time anymore, so you said,
- 4:07Speaker 4: I think about that like the nap time. I don't
- 4:08Speaker 4: do enough time anymore.
- 4:09Speaker 3: No good, good, good good.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Just being a little cranky, but no.
- 4:14Speaker 8: Yeah, when when we did when we did Color of What,
- 4:17Speaker 8: you were uh what like seven.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Eight, seven and a half, seven and a half.
- 4:22Speaker 6: That's crazy to me because I just remember such a
- 4:26Speaker 6: visceral sex scene in that movie.
- 4:28Speaker 7: Yeah, and and aren't there there's just like so many drugs.
- 4:33Speaker 6: And murder and death. There's that whole decapitation that was
- 4:36Speaker 6: almost too to Riy to play at slam Dance.
- 4:38Speaker 3: And it was the decapitation of a kid.
- 4:41Speaker 2: And I think what was so appoigted to me it
- 4:43Speaker 2: was that long monologue about the end, that old man
- 4:47Speaker 2: that in depth talked about his life, what he missed,
- 4:52Speaker 2: and he kind of summed up all of life and
- 4:54Speaker 2: he described it as a calendar putting rocks in a calendar, right.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yeah, gravel into a calendar and you shake it out
- 5:03Speaker 4: until you get what's good.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And that's what the end of life is.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Dude.
- 5:07Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm allowed to cuss in front
- 5:08Speaker 3: of you, but.
- 5:09Speaker 1: He's heard it all.
- 5:10Speaker 4: He's I wanted to write about aceptagenarian and I think
- 5:14Speaker 4: we did.
- 5:14Speaker 1: What's that we wanted to We wanted to write about
- 5:16Speaker 1: that because we co wrote it.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Genian. That's somebody in their seventies.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Oh right, yeah, some your.
- 5:22Speaker 8: Word a day calendar. Yeah yeah, yeah, we wrote that together.
- 5:27Speaker 8: But but we're not here to talk about us. I mean, like, dude, Salmon,
- 5:31Speaker 8: you gotta like step.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Down a minute.
- 5:33Speaker 8: We are in the presence of some pretty incredible dudes.
- 5:37Speaker 4: I can't believe we're here.
- 5:38Speaker 8: I mean, Text and Rex Bamby the Mitchell Brothers, Like
- 5:41Speaker 8: this isn't this is a dream.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It's really a weird.
- 5:46Speaker 6: Well, the Jordan sa Guinty, you guys have been coming
- 5:48Speaker 6: up quick, like I could say the Brotherhood work kind
- 5:51Speaker 6: of like it's been fast. Yeah, we're like yeah.
- 5:53Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I mean, well it's been fast for Salmon
- 5:56Speaker 8: for sure. But I've actually, you know, I'm in the
- 5:59Speaker 8: shop I've been doing this for a while. You know,
- 6:02Speaker 8: I've been making shorts an indie feature here and there
- 6:05Speaker 8: since I was probably like, you know, thirteen fourteen, So
- 6:08Speaker 8: I actually really been cutting my teeth.
- 6:10Speaker 4: And then.
- 6:11Speaker 8: You know, I actually I used to take home videos
- 6:13Speaker 8: of Salmon when he was just kind of flopping around,
- 6:17Speaker 8: and one day he said, he said, let me take
- 6:19Speaker 8: the camera. Yeah, he said, let me shund holy shit.
- 6:22Speaker 4: And I just wanted to play around.
- 6:24Speaker 1: He wanted to play around a little bit.
- 6:26Speaker 8: And and that actually that became the proof of concept
- 6:30Speaker 8: for our first short together, which was See How I Run?
- 6:34Speaker 6: Oh, I loved that.
- 6:36Speaker 1: So it was Samon learning how to walk turned in
- 6:38Speaker 1: to see How I Run?
- 6:39Speaker 6: Wow.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, surprisingly like throughout the production process, because we all
- 6:44Speaker 4: know it takes so long to get a project off
- 6:46Speaker 4: the ground. Yeah, and by the time, by the time
- 6:49Speaker 4: we were shooting, I knew how to not only knew
- 6:52Speaker 4: how to walk, I knew how to run. So that's
- 6:53Speaker 4: kind of how like it was an improvised moment, the
- 6:55Speaker 4: moment when Tyler in the film kind of autobiographical, Uh,
- 7:00Speaker 4: just started running.
- 7:03Speaker 5: How soon after you developed object permanence, Salmon, did you
- 7:07Speaker 5: start making films?
- 7:09Speaker 4: It was simultaneous my love for cinema and my development
- 7:13Speaker 4: of the understanding of object permanence. So like, oh god,
- 7:16Speaker 4: I would freak out. We would because we we like,
- 7:19Speaker 4: you know, we got a small loan from our parents
- 7:20Speaker 4: and we just like rented some equipment. And I got
- 7:24Speaker 4: so nervous because I went outside to get a little
- 7:26Speaker 4: bit of crafty and I was like, oh shit, I
- 7:28Speaker 4: think we Oh sorry language, Sam, right, Sorry, I just
- 7:31Speaker 4: I'm around adults so much at these Hollywood things.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Yeah, we don't care about cursing. Make you think that
- 7:38Speaker 6: we would care.
- 7:39Speaker 1: He's a growing he's a growing guy. I just wanted
- 7:41Speaker 1: to learn his manner, you know.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Can I ask what is that? By the way, object permanence?
- 7:49Speaker 5: So, Keith sidebar real quick. So object permanence is where,
- 7:54Speaker 5: you know, when I take a piece of peanut and
- 7:58Speaker 5: I put it behind my head, the peanut didn't disappear.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Right, I know that.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you know that. I know that. I know
- 8:05Speaker 2: that it's just in your hand.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Awesome, So you have object permanence sick. That's awesome, Keith,
- 8:11Speaker 1: that's sick.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I didn't know that's what it was, dude.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, No, it has a name. For it and everything.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Kids normally developed around like five years old, and you did.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Also, that's you, Dick.
- 8:24Speaker 2: It's so fun to find out things that you didn't
- 8:26Speaker 2: know you had.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that's something like personally, we really compliment
- 8:31Speaker 5: each other in that way because.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I went to college, uh and did Keith go.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I went to uh Spain?
- 8:42Speaker 6: Right, well, I.
- 8:44Speaker 8: Mean that really shows you know, tarentiala hurricane. Yeah, when
- 8:48Speaker 8: you know it was set in Spain and so was
- 8:51Speaker 8: that and.
- 8:52Speaker 5: That was a man that was all Keith Keith. Really
- 8:55Speaker 5: that was the idea of that was what if we
- 8:58Speaker 5: shoot it in Spain.
- 8:59Speaker 6: I guess it was crazy because it did not look
- 9:01Speaker 6: like Spain at all. It just.
- 9:05Speaker 1: That, Yeah, we wouldn't have known.
- 9:08Speaker 2: We shot it in Chatsworth. Yeah, we shot it in Chatsworth.
- 9:12Speaker 2: We shot Chatsworth for Spain. Yeah yeah, yeah, we shut
- 9:14Speaker 2: Chatsworth for all of Spain.
- 9:16Speaker 1: We did shoot Chatsworth for Spain.
- 9:19Speaker 6: A lot of yeah, a lot of characters just saying
- 9:22Speaker 6: Spanish things.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, well and yeah, Sugutta Familia, which I obviously
- 9:26Speaker 2: put in, you know, because the Tarantulists takeover su Gotta
- 9:29Speaker 2: Familia and they finished building it because historically Sugratta Familia
- 9:32Speaker 2: isn't built and kind of when the hurricane is over,
- 9:35Speaker 2: they have built it in their image and now Familia
- 9:38Speaker 2: is not Ala.
- 9:40Speaker 8: It's like you know, with hurricanes, you know, there's so
- 9:42Speaker 8: much destruction, there's so much being torn down, there's so
- 9:44Speaker 8: much loss. But with the tarantula hurricane, what you did
- 9:48Speaker 8: you know in in building that with the tarantulism, it
- 9:52Speaker 8: ended up being a story about hope, and that was
- 9:54Speaker 8: takeaway from.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I appreciate that out because, like you know, in this
- 9:58Speaker 2: sci fi world, they don't like to use the world
- 10:00Speaker 2: it's beautiful, they don't like to use.
- 10:01Speaker 3: No, they hate it.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Every meeting we had with the network, when we would
- 10:06Speaker 5: describe something as, oh, it's this beautiful scene where these
- 10:09Speaker 5: tarantulas and these and these sharks work together, they'd be like, beauty, No, no,
- 10:15Speaker 5: don't give me that.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, where do we put Nicole Rocchi? That's what they ask,
- 10:18Speaker 2: Where do we.
- 10:19Speaker 9: Put also an incredible incredible I mean we couldn't together,
- 10:26Speaker 9: I have we couldn't think of anyone else's mother Tarantula
- 10:28Speaker 9: after we saw her.
- 10:29Speaker 6: I think we've actually got a clip of that of
- 10:31Speaker 6: that of that movie. If you guys want to played,
- 10:33Speaker 6: are you guys cool?
- 10:34Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 10:34Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah a dream? What what scene should we do?
- 10:37Speaker 5: Should we do the one where she's at the church?
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, the one where she has that moment in
- 10:43Speaker 2: front of the virsion Mary Yeah, yeah.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, let's play that clip. So let's see the
- 10:47Speaker 5: let's set the scene for them. So Nicole Ritchie is
- 10:51Speaker 5: a scientist. She's been studying the tarantula hurricane and she
- 10:55Speaker 5: knows that it's about to be bad, but nobody's listening
- 10:58Speaker 5: to her in her office because of sexism. So she
- 11:02Speaker 5: is wow, you know, she's working on these tarantelas and
- 11:06Speaker 5: it's a sort of like we wanted to pay homage
- 11:08Speaker 5: to our Christian roots and uh.
- 11:11Speaker 1: So she is a is a woman of science.
- 11:14Speaker 5: But at the end of the day, when the tarantulas
- 11:16Speaker 5: are coming, when they're on their way, she turns to God.
- 11:19Speaker 5: And that's basically her appealing.
- 11:22Speaker 1: To a higher power.
- 11:23Speaker 2: And not to sip on your toes, but it's important
- 11:26Speaker 2: when they are in Spain.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Yes, absolutely, Keith, absolutely, thank you for pointing that out.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Great, let's play that clip.
- 11:43Speaker 6: I don't know what I'm getting here, are doing here?
- 11:47Speaker 6: I need a mirror. There's making means everywhere. I know
- 11:52Speaker 6: you wing to do. I guess I'm a woman as scientist,
- 11:56Speaker 6: but I'll turn to god.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Hey lady, there there's an evacuation order. You gotta get
- 12:02Speaker 1: out of here.
- 12:04Speaker 6: Gun, he's gone. I'm gonna go soon.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah here, Ah, there's directels right, yeah, yeah.
- 12:15Speaker 6: What is happening?
- 12:17Speaker 2: Oh my god, what's happening?
- 12:19Speaker 6: You know?
- 12:20Speaker 2: And yeah that's the opening scene.
- 12:22Speaker 7: What a way to what a way to paint? Paint
- 12:25Speaker 7: the world, and it goes.
- 12:26Speaker 2: From there world and you know what happens from there?
- 12:28Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 12:29Speaker 8: I mean you could see it's like you you you
- 12:32Speaker 8: get the Paea, you get the spiders, you get the science,
- 12:34Speaker 8: you get the God. I mean, it's just like what
- 12:37Speaker 8: a better I mean, you're really showing, not telling.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And that's I think the strongest part of that opening.
- 12:43Speaker 5: That's what we try to do here at the Sci
- 12:44Speaker 5: Fi Channel. We try to show and not tell.
- 12:47Speaker 2: We show a lot. We showed twenty five movies a year.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Twenty five movies a year.
- 12:52Speaker 3: You guys, turn you really do you?
- 12:56Speaker 1: You don't know?
- 12:56Speaker 8: Turns them out And I just I'm so sorry. I'm
- 12:58Speaker 8: just so honored. You know, the Post is one of
- 13:01Speaker 8: Samon and my favorite.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Films, and thank you so much.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Oh my god, I mean like we are yeah, I.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Mean on the subject of learning manners to you guys,
- 13:13Speaker 4: didn't even lead with that. That was like the third
- 13:15Speaker 4: credit you listed, so humble. I really appreciate that you're.
- 13:18Speaker 8: Being like, we're in Sundance and you guys, are you
- 13:21Speaker 8: just you slipped the Post in third in your order
- 13:23Speaker 8: of credits.
- 13:24Speaker 1: It's it's amazing.
- 13:25Speaker 5: That just shows you, know, how top build your other
- 13:28Speaker 5: work is like, how influential that you can place Meryl
- 13:32Speaker 5: Streep at third billing.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Thank you guys, Thank you guys.
- 13:35Speaker 6: Yeah, well, in our head, you know, we try to
- 13:37Speaker 6: treat every movie equally, you know, there is no even
- 13:40Speaker 6: though the Post Oscar dominant nominated, even though it had.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Oh sorry, I'm doing that thing where I repeat him again.
- 13:49Speaker 6: Sorry, this always happens.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 1: So are you guys twins?
- 13:54Speaker 6: Yeah, we're twins, We're twins, We're trip I'm sorry, we're tins.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Were triplets, triplet were twin We're so just.
- 14:04Speaker 6: No, no, no, there was and there was never another
- 14:06Speaker 6: one and there was never another one.
- 14:08Speaker 2: There is no one.
- 14:10Speaker 7: And I do want to take this opportunity to say
- 14:12Speaker 7: that the New York Times article that is about to
- 14:14Speaker 7: come out is bullshit.
- 14:16Speaker 6: It's absolute bullshit. It's honestly kind of disrespectful that we
- 14:19Speaker 6: did a whole movie about the New York Times called
- 14:23Speaker 6: The Post, and now they're fucking ripping us apart. They're
- 14:27Speaker 6: about to fucking send fake news, rip us apart. So guys,
- 14:31Speaker 6: just don't listen to it when it comes out.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Wait, the Post is about the New York Times, was
- 14:37Speaker 2: about the.
- 14:37Speaker 6: Washington No, it's about the New York Times. You guys
- 14:41Speaker 6: never got that.
- 14:41Speaker 5: No is genius, man.
- 14:46Speaker 6: Yeah, it was about the Washington Post, like that's like
- 14:48Speaker 6: the main newspaper. But if you guys see the background,
- 14:50Speaker 6: there's all this New York Post stuff, you know, New
- 14:55Speaker 6: York Times. Yeah, you guys, a lot of people kind
- 14:58Speaker 6: of miss our movies. That's like the big thing is like.
- 15:01Speaker 5: It was a very literal adaptation of what happened in
- 15:05Speaker 5: the Washington Post covered Watergate.
- 15:07Speaker 7: But beautiful and it's crazy though that everybody misses what
- 15:11Speaker 7: it's really about.
- 15:13Speaker 6: Yeah, it's about love, about.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Love at the Times. Yeah, thank you guys.
- 15:18Speaker 7: I mean, we have been around for a while, But
- 15:21Speaker 7: I mean, look at us, we're all sets of brothers.
- 15:24Speaker 7: Should we talk about like the way we grew up?
- 15:25Speaker 7: Because I mean me and Rex, I mean we were twins,
- 15:30Speaker 7: so we come together. We learned freaking final cut pro together.
- 15:34Speaker 7: We learned how to talk to a woman together. We
- 15:37Speaker 7: learned everything together.
- 15:38Speaker 6: And learn how to talk to a woman with a brother,
- 15:40Speaker 6: a twin brother and not triplets is tough.
- 15:42Speaker 2: How did you specifically learn that?
- 15:44Speaker 3: I mean, how did anybody learn how to talk to
- 15:46Speaker 3: a woman together?
- 15:47Speaker 1: Specifically together? What did that look like? You talking to
- 15:52Speaker 1: a lot of tag teams together?
- 15:53Speaker 4: So I'm about to enter my tweenage years too, so
- 15:56Speaker 4: like I get any advice that you have?
- 15:59Speaker 6: Yeah? Yeah, Basically what we would try to do is
- 16:02Speaker 6: we'd kind of each have a couple of lines and
- 16:03Speaker 6: we kind of tag and tag out.
- 16:05Speaker 3: So I would school man.
- 16:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I would go up and be like, hey, lady,
- 16:09Speaker 6: looking good today? And then so was she?
- 16:12Speaker 1: Was she much?
- 16:13Speaker 6: Always older? Always we're aiming for thirties.
- 16:15Speaker 7: To you know, when you're a young boy, all you
- 16:17Speaker 7: want to do is talk to those hot moms, right.
- 16:20Speaker 6: Yeah, you want to get in that carpool line when
- 16:22Speaker 6: all the kids are being picked up. Salmon knows inspect.
- 16:26Speaker 4: I respect you guys such so much as a directing duo.
- 16:28Speaker 4: So I just like I want to model myself and
- 16:30Speaker 4: you lean any information for my taks. Yes, you've had me.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I mean it's like, you know, we worked a ton
- 16:40Speaker 1: of success.
- 16:40Speaker 6: With the ladies. I mean, we'll be honest.
- 16:42Speaker 8: Oh come man, I mean I thought were here to
- 16:44Speaker 8: talk about movies, right.
- 16:46Speaker 4: I didn't tell them about the one the one woman
- 16:50Speaker 4: who broke your heart and you kind of never got
- 16:51Speaker 4: over Salmon.
- 16:53Speaker 8: Oh no, yeah, I mean like I was in a
- 16:55Speaker 8: long term relationship.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Uh what oh what?
- 17:00Speaker 9: Oh?
- 17:00Speaker 4: Friends? We were.
- 17:02Speaker 8: It was a it was an intense, volatile, emotional rollercoaster
- 17:07Speaker 8: of a friendship.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I my god.
- 17:13Speaker 8: I didn't want to bring it up earlier because I
- 17:15Speaker 8: know we were talking about one incredible work she did,
- 17:17Speaker 8: but it was Richie, it was.
- 17:22Speaker 2: And did she call you? She called you d boy,
- 17:26Speaker 2: directed boy. She used to I remembering, remember those text
- 17:32Speaker 2: she used to show us, bro, Do you remember those
- 17:34Speaker 2: texts she shows books?
- 17:35Speaker 1: They were like where are you, what are you up to?
- 17:38Speaker 1: What are you wearing? Where are you going?
- 17:40Speaker 2: She'd always say, this guy's on my jack, this guy's
- 17:42Speaker 2: on my.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Jack Cole Ritchie was always talking about her, jock, let
- 17:48Speaker 5: me tell you yeah, yeah, I mean.
- 17:53Speaker 8: Listen, like I was young then, and it was it
- 17:57Speaker 8: was tough because I feel like she couldn't give me
- 18:00Speaker 8: what I was giving her. But I learned a lot
- 18:02Speaker 8: from that, and I'm and I'm ready to move forward
- 18:03Speaker 8: and I'm ready to show Salmon how to treat a woman.
- 18:08Speaker 6: Well, wow, how would you do that? In your head?
- 18:11Speaker 6: How would you do that?
- 18:12Speaker 1: How would I treat a woman?
- 18:13Speaker 2: Well?
- 18:13Speaker 1: How would I show Samon how to treat a woman?
- 18:15Speaker 2: Well?
- 18:15Speaker 8: Both, Well, you know, I I like to meet people
- 18:21Speaker 8: the old fashioned way.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I you know, I'm not about those apps. I'm not about.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Alex. He denounced the apps when he got the No,
- 18:31Speaker 4: that wasn't it wasn't but it was part of it. No,
- 18:33Speaker 4: it wasn't part I don't know. I haven't developed like
- 18:37Speaker 4: a social filter.
- 18:38Speaker 6: I don't know what you.
- 18:38Speaker 7: Don't because my uh my caption on my photo was
- 18:43Speaker 7: the post wasn't about Watergate. It was about the New
- 18:47Speaker 7: York Times and they about that checked they gave me
- 18:50Speaker 7: off that app.
- 18:51Speaker 3: So you're not alone. You're not alone, Alex.
- 18:53Speaker 8: No. I mean it's like and it didn't even matter
- 18:55Speaker 8: to me. So she because now I can, like I
- 18:56Speaker 8: can focus on chasing the story. I can chase the
- 18:58Speaker 8: story and the dream. And so you know, I I'll
- 19:01Speaker 8: go to the farmer's market with salmon, and if I see,
- 19:05Speaker 8: you know, a beautiful lady, I will slipper sliper my number,
- 19:10Speaker 8: and uh, you know, just see what happens. And that's
- 19:13Speaker 8: and that's the most you can do. And it's just
- 19:14Speaker 8: it's just playing it kind I'm all about it.
- 19:17Speaker 6: So you wouldn't You're not actually talking to her, You're
- 19:19Speaker 6: just trying to stash a number. I am not speaking
- 19:22Speaker 6: to her.
- 19:22Speaker 8: No, I'm not speaking to her because I don't want
- 19:23Speaker 8: to infringe on her space or her time. And so
- 19:26Speaker 8: I'm just gonna I'm just gonna put my number in there,
- 19:28Speaker 8: and if she calls, she calls.
- 19:29Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah. Well here's a great question for the fish bowl.
- 19:33Speaker 6: I just got what how do you how does the
- 19:35Speaker 6: duo break down? You know, are you guys fully collective
- 19:39Speaker 6: or is it kind of you guys have different jobs?
- 19:42Speaker 6: You know, how does it break down? And I would say,
- 19:44Speaker 6: this is a greatly worded question, is very very easy
- 19:48Speaker 6: to understand.
- 19:49Speaker 2: It's nice big long slips of paper to put in that. Yeah,
- 19:53Speaker 2: yeah we can go first Brody. Brody and I. You know,
- 19:58Speaker 2: we're like two sides of the same coin, but we
- 20:01Speaker 2: there are you know now we're not a one sided coin.
- 20:04Speaker 2: And that you know, there's a heads and the tails.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 5: Like, there's so many, as you guys know, extra tasks
- 20:12Speaker 5: that you wouldn't even think of when you start to
- 20:15Speaker 5: make a movie.
- 20:15Speaker 1: They just pile up. It's uh, you know, it's it's tough.
- 20:19Speaker 5: I would say that I I do handle a lot
- 20:22Speaker 5: of the writing and directing.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I would say Keith kills it at location scouting.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I'm really good at location scouting and specifically art direction
- 20:33Speaker 2: approval if somebody has you know.
- 20:37Speaker 6: Like again, like and I love your location scouts because
- 20:40Speaker 6: we got Chatsworth for Spain, and you guys always try
- 20:44Speaker 6: to shoot on location but not actually on location.
- 20:46Speaker 3: When you made Burbank look like a river, we.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Made like fuck me. We we shot Burbank for Wyoming,
- 20:55Speaker 2: and then recently in this movie that's coming out soon,
- 20:58Speaker 2: we shot uh mar Vista for Venice.
- 21:04Speaker 6: Which is crazy because Venice is just right down the street. Yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 6: Venice Beach, California.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Was that a per issue or like a budget issue
- 21:11Speaker 3: or like why why choose to do it?
- 21:12Speaker 2: And we just felt right and I was in charge,
- 21:15Speaker 2: and I said, let's make the choice. It's awesome. But
- 21:18Speaker 2: I just think we compliment those things because you know,
- 21:21Speaker 2: Brodie doesn't need to be bothered with that. He's writing
- 21:23Speaker 2: the entire script, he's directing the actress, he's fictioning it.
- 21:26Speaker 5: And I will write sixty scripts a year. And so
- 21:30Speaker 5: because we do pump out kind of a lot of
- 21:32Speaker 5: content and a lot of the you know, the location
- 21:35Speaker 5: choices we make are not necessarily budget related because we
- 21:39Speaker 5: made so many of these movies that Sci Fi kind
- 21:42Speaker 5: of trusts us, you know, and so we're we're what
- 21:46Speaker 5: a blessing?
- 21:46Speaker 1: What a guess? Yeah, So they're very generous.
- 21:49Speaker 2: And to be clear, like also like like the idea
- 21:52Speaker 2: comes from both of us. As I mentioned earlier, I
- 21:54Speaker 2: come up with the creature and Brody comes up with
- 21:57Speaker 2: the disaster. So we spend a lot out of time
- 22:00Speaker 2: kind of we call it wired in where we lock
- 22:03Speaker 2: ourselves in our house that we share in the Palisades,
- 22:07Speaker 2: and we live together. We do well, we share, we
- 22:10Speaker 2: but we both own the same house. We share a
- 22:14Speaker 2: house that we own that we do all of our
- 22:16Speaker 2: creative stuff and we call it.
- 22:17Speaker 6: Does sound like you guys are living together.
- 22:19Speaker 5: Yes, we call it the office, but we're we're just
- 22:22Speaker 5: always at.
- 22:23Speaker 1: The So you both own the house that you both
- 22:25Speaker 1: live at.
- 22:25Speaker 3: And work from home.
- 22:27Speaker 2: It's first and foremost where we work. And then if
- 22:29Speaker 2: we end up falling asleep there, I guess we wake
- 22:32Speaker 2: up here.
- 22:32Speaker 1: And how many nights a week would you sleep there?
- 22:34Speaker 2: Seven? Seven?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Seven? So you live there? So it sounds like you
- 22:37Speaker 1: live there.
- 22:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I really feel like you live.
- 22:39Speaker 1: No, No, we have I have a different house.
- 22:41Speaker 6: I have.
- 22:44Speaker 5: No because I send it to the office. But my
- 22:47Speaker 5: wife and kids live in San Diego, where we're from,
- 22:50Speaker 5: and so I I live there. But I will say
- 22:55Speaker 5: seven nights out of the week I am at the
- 22:57Speaker 5: office seven while we're shooting. Is fifty one weeks out
- 23:01Speaker 5: of the year.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Got it?
- 23:03Speaker 2: And I think kids are awesome though.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you. Janine Tyler.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Rex, Yeah, what name?
- 23:13Speaker 6: Good name?
- 23:14Speaker 1: Yeah, they're in like first and fourth grade.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I want to say, yeah one of them is driving?
- 23:21Speaker 2: When when is the other one? When is one of
- 23:26Speaker 2: them driving?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Okay?
- 23:27Speaker 4: So what is okay?
- 23:30Speaker 5: So I think the fourth grader is actually sixteen, and
- 23:34Speaker 5: I think I'm I think I'm mixed up because I
- 23:37Speaker 5: I haven't been home since two thousand and three.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Let's chase his back. Let's chase his back. So they
- 23:42Speaker 2: were on the set of Uh. They were on the
- 23:46Speaker 2: set of Hawk Hawk Monsoon.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Yeah. I love that when instead of rain, it was
- 23:52Speaker 6: a bunch of hawks. Yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And the hail was their eggs.
- 23:57Speaker 8: That one was pretty scary for salmon. Salmon was a
- 23:59Speaker 8: little gone with that one came out, and no one
- 24:01Speaker 8: was hard for him.
- 24:01Speaker 2: To see when that came out. How old were you
- 24:04Speaker 2: you said that was?
- 24:05Speaker 4: That was the last time you saw them was two
- 24:06Speaker 4: thousand and three, and that was when you're on set.
- 24:08Speaker 4: So I would have been born.
- 24:11Speaker 1: You weren't born, Yeah, I would see. The math of
- 24:12Speaker 1: that doesn't quite add up.
- 24:13Speaker 5: I think in two thousand and three, I you know
- 24:15Speaker 5: what it was in two thousand and three, I was
- 24:17Speaker 5: with my other previous family in Texas in Texas.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Wow.
- 24:23Speaker 5: But they have since gone and they're off doing their
- 24:26Speaker 5: own thing.
- 24:28Speaker 2: They're gone, creatively, they're gone.
- 24:31Speaker 3: And which one of them is driving?
- 24:33Speaker 2: I think all of them and they all drove away
- 24:35Speaker 2: and they're gone. So we're not talking about them.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Sorry, Keith, Sorry, I didn't really think you were so
- 24:40Speaker 1: protective of Sorry.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I'm protective of my baby, bro. I'm protective of him.
- 24:43Speaker 4: So then I get it.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Man, I get it, Man, I get it. She's great
- 24:49Speaker 1: at his pr.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I'm so good at it. I'll shout at about any
- 24:53Speaker 2: public relations I just learned about this.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Actually, is that what you meant?
- 24:56Speaker 6: Good job?
- 24:56Speaker 8: Yeah, Samon, nice, Yeah, nice one man, good job, Samon.
- 25:00Speaker 7: When you said you do art approval, does that mean
- 25:02Speaker 7: like they hand up two things and they're like, which
- 25:04Speaker 7: one and you point to.
- 25:05Speaker 2: One exactly, I mean, man, which sponge? And then they
- 25:09Speaker 2: send me three options and I get to pick the
- 25:11Speaker 2: best one for the movie. And that's the same thing
- 25:13Speaker 2: with tables. That's the same thing with pens. That's the
- 25:16Speaker 2: same thing with outfits. That's the same thing sometimes with backgrounds.
- 25:20Speaker 2: That's the same thing with cars.
- 25:22Speaker 3: And that's the same water bottles.
- 25:24Speaker 2: We use water bottles. And then crafty, I get to pick,
- 25:27Speaker 2: I get to pick faster your decisions.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Is that why you're good at them?
- 25:30Speaker 2: Or it depends on whatever else is going on. You know,
- 25:33Speaker 2: we got twenty five movies a year, so there's a
- 25:35Speaker 2: lot of Sometimes I'm like, what pen is this for?
- 25:37Speaker 2: You know, it's like hard to remember. It's likes Nicole
- 25:39Speaker 2: Richie holding this pin in this movie? Is Nicole Richie
- 25:41Speaker 2: holding this pin in this movie?
- 25:42Speaker 6: You know?
- 25:42Speaker 5: And that changes who's holding the pen. It changes, you know,
- 25:45Speaker 5: because are you going to use a fountain pen? No,
- 25:48Speaker 5: because it's a lightning storm.
- 25:50Speaker 1: That doesn't make sense exactly, so you're probably.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Holding a plot hole.
- 25:54Speaker 3: We are just full of stuff.
- 25:57Speaker 2: We've got a lot of stuff and stuff we haven't
- 25:59Speaker 2: even mentioned yet, but we will in full today. Vambi bros.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Bambi bros. I got a question for you guys. What
- 26:08Speaker 2: is what? How's that team breaking down? Oh?
- 26:11Speaker 6: Yeah, we really do kind of everything together. It's kind
- 26:15Speaker 6: of actually amazing how well we work together. It's kind
- 26:19Speaker 6: of every choice, every moment, everything that we've ever ever
- 26:22Speaker 6: do is kind of at the same time. We love
- 26:26Speaker 6: to finish each other's kind of.
- 26:29Speaker 3: I want to my wife. That's just how we grew up.
- 26:34Speaker 3: You know, we share a brain mhm.
- 26:38Speaker 6: And it's like and I know, I know on set
- 26:40Speaker 6: sometimes I can get really confusing for the actors because
- 26:42Speaker 6: they're like, who do we listen to? Because we disagree
- 26:45Speaker 6: a lot. You know, sometimes it'll be like cut and
- 26:47Speaker 6: I'll be like, go bigger, go bigger, go bigger, And
- 26:50Speaker 6: then you know, text will will immediately be like, we
- 26:52Speaker 6: need to bring it down. We need to be smaller,
- 26:54Speaker 6: we need to be.
- 26:56Speaker 8: Is there someone like, you know, for the actors, because
- 26:59Speaker 8: you know, I I like think of myself as as an.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Actors director, right for the actors.
- 27:04Speaker 8: Is there at the end of the day, one voice
- 27:06Speaker 8: that they're like, Okay, this is this is.
- 27:08Speaker 1: The final call? Or is it? They just kind of
- 27:10Speaker 1: have to I will say down the middle.
- 27:13Speaker 7: Usually Rex is with the actors, and sometimes I'm a
- 27:18Speaker 7: crew I'm a crew junkie.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I just like.
- 27:25Speaker 6: He's like yeah, and he's got those grips on his
- 27:28Speaker 6: little pinky, and I just.
- 27:30Speaker 3: You know what I mean, I love to like, what
- 27:33Speaker 3: do you mean you should.
- 27:35Speaker 6: Watch him work? Watch him?
- 27:37Speaker 2: What's the definition of having grips on your pinky?
- 27:40Speaker 6: They want it? They want it, they want it.
- 27:43Speaker 7: I mean you know when you're just when you're like, uh,
- 27:45Speaker 7: doing a big company move and you're like, grips, pinky,
- 27:50Speaker 7: get on my Like it's like you.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Said, they want it.
- 27:56Speaker 3: What's up?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Rex said that regarding you and the grips. We're like,
- 28:00Speaker 1: what does that mean? And he said, they want it
- 28:03Speaker 1: like you.
- 28:04Speaker 6: Guys never had this if you guys never had this
- 28:06Speaker 6: situation where you're like or a crew and they just like,
- 28:10Speaker 6: there's member of that crew. Yeah, they want a pinky
- 28:13Speaker 6: like and a pinky you know, they want to I'll
- 28:15Speaker 6: just say it. I'll be the one to say it.
- 28:17Speaker 6: Most of the crew want to fuck my brother. They
- 28:20Speaker 6: want to fucking roast like a pig.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'll say they want to roast it.
- 28:26Speaker 6: They want to roast like a little pig.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Samon, close your ears, what sex act? Does that mean?
- 28:32Speaker 6: You've never heard of roasting somebody like a pig.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I think they're talking about I feel towering.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Eiffel Tower of the Grips. Upon my wife's approval.
- 28:42Speaker 6: And she's she's great.
- 28:44Speaker 3: I mean Megan Fox. I mean she's an incredible woman
- 28:47Speaker 3: and I love her to death.
- 28:48Speaker 1: She forgot you were married to miss Fox. I'm so
- 28:51Speaker 1: sorry I forgot about that.
- 28:53Speaker 6: Yeah anyway, but yeah, we are really good. So really
- 28:57Speaker 6: like when the actors go, I when we were and
- 29:00Speaker 6: we're both giving notes and they say, who do I
- 29:02Speaker 6: listen to? Who? Do I fucking listen to? I say,
- 29:03Speaker 6: you listen to fucking both of us. Okay, we hire
- 29:07Speaker 6: both of us.
- 29:07Speaker 7: Yeah, grabbed them by the chin and you said, you
- 29:09Speaker 7: listen to fucking both of us. While I was Eiffel towering,
- 29:12Speaker 7: I'm two key grips in the bathroom.
- 29:15Speaker 6: And he said, where's your brother? And I said, look
- 29:17Speaker 6: and listen, guy, I'm about to grab you by the
- 29:19Speaker 6: balls and string you up around here. You Bamby and
- 29:26Speaker 6: Text Bamby's getting it in the stall. So you shut
- 29:29Speaker 6: the fuck up and you do the fucking lines, buddy.
- 29:33Speaker 6: So yeah, that's how we work. We really work together,
- 29:35Speaker 6: really really well. Like I would like, like Alex kind
- 29:38Speaker 6: of said, like I don't consider myself a director or
- 29:40Speaker 6: actress director. I consider myself director. So like that's kind
- 29:44Speaker 6: of what I'm doing, is I'm grabbing hold of set
- 29:47Speaker 6: while Text kind of grabs hold of a lot of
- 29:49Speaker 6: different crew members.
- 29:51Speaker 7: Now, what about you guys, because Alex and Salmon, it's
- 29:54Speaker 7: just like so hard for me to think the age difference.
- 29:57Speaker 7: There has to be like like are you guys fifty
- 30:00Speaker 7: fifty sixty forty?
- 30:01Speaker 3: Like where does that lie?
- 30:03Speaker 4: Well, it's I think I'm more of the ideas. Guy.
- 30:07Speaker 4: You know, a lot, I've done a lot of the
- 30:09Speaker 4: initial treatments for a lot of our features.
- 30:11Speaker 1: You can't even read yet, so that's.
- 30:13Speaker 4: And I can't even read and is well, it's hard
- 30:18Speaker 4: because I've had to do school on set, you know,
- 30:20Speaker 4: so there's a lot of things that I've missed, and
- 30:22Speaker 4: I'm to go to school. Yeah, yeah, you know for
- 30:25Speaker 4: like part of the day. And so usually I'm in
- 30:27Speaker 4: charge when I'm not in school, and then when I'm
- 30:28Speaker 4: in school, Alex sort of takes over until i can
- 30:30Speaker 4: get back as soon as I can get back basically, well.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I mean, and that also just you know, it depends
- 30:35Speaker 1: on the on the project.
- 30:36Speaker 8: Right, It's like it's not the sam and show every
- 30:39Speaker 8: shoot there, but there are.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Some where it's like, you know, I'll let him, I'll
- 30:42Speaker 1: let him take the reins.
- 30:43Speaker 8: A little bit more because he's growing, he's learning, he's
- 30:45Speaker 8: finding his voice, he's finding his eye, he's finding his vision. Yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 8: and then you know, I'll I'll kind of be more
- 30:51Speaker 8: in charge of the technical side. I'm working pretty close
- 30:53Speaker 8: with our DP and I'm giving the actors help when
- 30:57Speaker 8: they need it.
- 30:58Speaker 1: But people are I mean, I'm not lie. You see
- 31:00Speaker 1: a ten year old.
- 31:01Speaker 8: Directing an entire film set, and that's something you want
- 31:04Speaker 8: to see. And so, of course naturally people are drawn
- 31:06Speaker 8: to the actors, come.
- 31:07Speaker 6: To me with questions, Oh so I get so it's
- 31:10Speaker 6: kind of like you're trying to help the actors, but
- 31:12Speaker 6: they usually go, I'd like to speak to the other brother.
- 31:15Speaker 4: No.
- 31:15Speaker 5: No, the actors come to me and they're like, oh,
- 31:17Speaker 5: so they bypass alex entirely.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Well, no, I think they just they resonate, like because
- 31:22Speaker 4: I don't have that childlike curiosity, which I think a
- 31:24Speaker 4: lot of artists are, right.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Child so it's not childlike.
- 31:26Speaker 4: You have a childlike and I haven't lost that sense,
- 31:29Speaker 4: and so it's like, yeah, yeah, it does seem like
- 31:32Speaker 4: you have the childlike curiosity, but also like the anger
- 31:35Speaker 4: of a forty year old divorced man. It's hard because again,
- 31:37Speaker 4: I'm growing up around all these adults in Hollywood, and
- 31:40Speaker 4: I'm not in school with my peers. I'm around people
- 31:42Speaker 4: like your guys. Is it so I feel like a
- 31:43Speaker 4: little precocious. I feel like I know a little bit
- 31:45Speaker 4: more than the average ten year old, other than how
- 31:47Speaker 4: to read, because I don't have some Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 7: God, it must be crazy to be your your school tutor,
- 31:51Speaker 7: your set tutor, and you're you're the tutor for the
- 31:54Speaker 7: director and writer.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Yeah, because you can.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Only work like probably what an hour going to happen
- 32:00Speaker 5: at a.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Time at a time. Yeah, and then I need like
- 32:02Speaker 4: a thirty minute school break, and so that's and.
- 32:05Speaker 8: Then I'm able to fly in and they get one
- 32:07Speaker 8: clear voice of like, all right, Alex Guinty is here.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Don't worry, we've gone.
- 32:11Speaker 4: We usually try to schedule that for like, yeah, like
- 32:13Speaker 4: you were saying, company moves or like lighting changes, so
- 32:15Speaker 4: that by the time I'm done with school, I get
- 32:17Speaker 4: to come back for the creative decisions. Awesome, But it's
- 32:19Speaker 4: also a big part of it is that I am ten.
- 32:21Speaker 4: You know, I'm not eighteen. So when I'm brought onto
- 32:23Speaker 4: these projects, a lot of companies and a lot of
- 32:26Speaker 4: investors feel a little bit more comfortable that it's Alex
- 32:28Speaker 4: and Salmon because they know that Alex is a college graduate.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Samon. I was gonna ask you too, like, yeah, you
- 32:33Speaker 2: you are ten, you're not eighteen, but you sound eighteen,
- 32:36Speaker 2: you sound thirty, you sound forty. When did your voice drop?
- 32:39Speaker 4: It was a lot of watching movies with Alex, you know,
- 32:42Speaker 4: just say like, oh, people respect.
- 32:44Speaker 2: So you're just kind of forcing your voice lower until
- 32:46Speaker 2: it just clicked.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Yes, one hundred.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Homes dropped and it's lower than mine.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Elizabeth Holmes ing it.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Yes, you guys know her.
- 32:58Speaker 2: We went to high school together at me and Liz.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I love her. Yeah, well I love her. Well.
- 33:07Speaker 6: I had a question really quick for Jorgenson Guinty, just
- 33:10Speaker 6: what are your parents like, Like, what do they feel
- 33:12Speaker 6: about it?
- 33:13Speaker 1: I was wondering the same thing.
- 33:14Speaker 2: What's that question?
- 33:17Speaker 8: Well, our mom, Carol, I mean she's just like she's
- 33:21Speaker 8: she's about I mean, I'm sorry for getting emotional. She's
- 33:23Speaker 8: just like our biggest support system and we we do
- 33:26Speaker 8: everything for her.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Yeah no, I mean like I'm a mom's boy, do anything.
- 33:32Speaker 8: And then my dad Gary, Yeah, he's a.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Quiet guy, you know, I mean he's he's really supportive.
- 33:41Speaker 8: He's he actually is a librarian and a pushover.
- 33:47Speaker 6: Well I wouldn't say when you're pushing him over every
- 33:50Speaker 6: once in a while.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Well, he's not my dad, that's Alex's my dad. My
- 33:54Speaker 4: dad's name is Ryan, and he's the man.
- 33:56Speaker 3: That guy sounds like an awesome dude.
- 33:59Speaker 4: For work, he works in the MLB and like an
- 34:02Speaker 4: administrative capacity.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Now way, I love.
- 34:05Speaker 8: Baseball, you know, like Ryan, I mean Ryan, Ryan's Ryan's nice.
- 34:10Speaker 8: But Gary, Gary actually got me into the love of storytelling.
- 34:13Speaker 8: Gary was the one who would he interroused my first
- 34:16Speaker 8: library card.
- 34:17Speaker 6: So the MLB what team, just like the MLB or
- 34:20Speaker 6: just it's the MLB League office, So like I get
- 34:22Speaker 6: to see all the ballparks.
- 34:23Speaker 4: It's so cool. So and he's also like I mean
- 34:26Speaker 4: like he's really he's a good looking guy. And then Alex,
- 34:31Speaker 4: you want to talk about your dad.
- 34:32Speaker 8: I was just talking about my dad. I was talking
- 34:34Speaker 8: about my dad. Then you interrupted me talking about Gary
- 34:36Speaker 8: to talk about.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Ryan and Ryan's night. You know, he's he's a nice guy.
- 34:39Speaker 8: You know before he got with, uh got with We're
- 34:44Speaker 8: just say before he married our mom. Sorry, just sometimes
- 34:48Speaker 8: it's like I feel like they don't actually have a
- 34:51Speaker 8: lot of things to talk about. It feels like more
- 34:53Speaker 8: of just kind of like a feral chemistry that they
- 34:55Speaker 8: share and less of like something that's pretty deep. And
- 34:59Speaker 8: that was actually part of inspiration for the color of What,
- 35:01Speaker 8: because it's just like watching them and then thinking about
- 35:04Speaker 8: what game anyway, So that sex scene was about your
- 35:09Speaker 8: parents or that that ravenous, ravenous, rabid almost sex scene
- 35:16Speaker 8: was about our mom and Salmon's dad.
- 35:21Speaker 1: And wow, that I remember.
- 35:23Speaker 8: Distinctly that that that sex scene, it was kind of
- 35:26Speaker 8: based on real life in the way that he asked me.
- 35:29Speaker 8: Ryan asked me if he could marry my mom and
- 35:34Speaker 8: I said, you know, treat well, and he said sure,
- 35:37Speaker 8: and that he.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Ended the conversation really really quickly. He said sure, and then.
- 35:40Speaker 8: They just ran off And I would imagine that that's
- 35:43Speaker 8: when that happened, and so that that came into the movie.
- 35:46Speaker 8: And that's actually how Samon was conceived.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Wow, I mean.
- 35:49Speaker 5: Right when you know, right when you know, that's what
- 35:51Speaker 5: I always.
- 35:52Speaker 7: And it feels like you guys know that you really
- 35:54Speaker 7: know how Samon was coming.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I mean the timing.
- 35:56Speaker 8: I mean it was nine months to the day of
- 35:58Speaker 8: that that day Sam and popped right on out he
- 36:02Speaker 8: and there he was and so Sam and what was that?
- 36:05Speaker 8: You know, I've actually never we never really talked about this,
- 36:08Speaker 8: but what was that like for you to film that
- 36:12Speaker 8: knowing that that's.
- 36:14Speaker 6: How you that was your conception?
- 36:16Speaker 4: Yeah, well, in a way, it was a it was
- 36:18Speaker 4: an artistically and creatively cathartic experience because you're basically rebirthing you, right,
- 36:24Speaker 4: And we learned about the Renaissance. We actually used to
- 36:26Speaker 4: build these before. My last year in school was kindergarten
- 36:29Speaker 4: and we did this like Renaissance experiment where we built
- 36:31Speaker 4: like a cast lot of cardboard and so that was,
- 36:34Speaker 4: you know, in a way, all of our homes. But
- 36:36Speaker 4: on set that day I.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Was created me. Yeah, what's that by the way.
- 36:43Speaker 5: Oh okay, Keith sidebar. So the Renaissance was basically something
- 36:47Speaker 5: that happened in about fifteen hundred to sixteen hundred.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Here are.
- 36:52Speaker 5: Yeah on Earth, I would say, largely as it's depicted
- 36:56Speaker 5: in Europe, but you know, our textbooks could be wrong.
- 37:00Speaker 5: So Italy, France, Germany, they're all having this rebirth of
- 37:05Speaker 5: art following the Bubonic plague. Oh yes, so these are
- 37:10Speaker 5: like really old people, right, So imagine our grandpa, imagine
- 37:15Speaker 5: our grandpa's grandpa's grandpa something like that.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, I got it. Yeah man, awesome. That
- 37:24Speaker 2: sounds like a blast. And you did that in kindergarten.
- 37:28Speaker 2: You were in that in kindergarten.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Oh god, okay, I'm gonna take a question from the
- 37:31Speaker 3: fish bowl. This one looks really fun.
- 37:34Speaker 7: What's a moment on set where you guys worked best together?
- 37:40Speaker 6: A great question, Well, Organ sing Ginty's why don't you
- 37:43Speaker 6: guys take this away? Because I'm really really interested in
- 37:46Speaker 6: that you're this kind of like set dynamic of you guys.
- 37:48Speaker 3: I still don't understand your process.
- 37:49Speaker 6: It does feel like there's an obvious power dynamic and
- 37:52Speaker 6: I'm not going to be the one to call it out,
- 37:53Speaker 6: but it does.
- 37:54Speaker 2: But Alex knows it.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Oh you want me to call it out?
- 37:58Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 37:59Speaker 1: Oh you want me to? Oh suddenly, Oh, Guinty's in
- 38:01Speaker 1: the spotlight for once? Tell you know what I've been
- 38:05Speaker 1: meaning to talk to you about that. Man.
- 38:07Speaker 8: I feel like I'll be honest, you know, I feel
- 38:10Speaker 8: like I'm in a group of really awesome, like minded people,
- 38:12Speaker 8: artists that I really trust. And uh, you know what, Salmon,
- 38:16Speaker 8: I would like to have more of a leadership position
- 38:18Speaker 8: in our in our working relationship. Salmon is on his phone.
- 38:22Speaker 8: So how did you even get a phone? How did
- 38:23Speaker 8: you even get a phone? You're too young to have
- 38:25Speaker 8: a phone.
- 38:26Speaker 4: You know. Sorry, I just just a follow up email.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Because I know you cannot read. You can't read.
- 38:33Speaker 7: Dictate It's like one of those learning annexes on the
- 38:36Speaker 7: iPad with.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Email from why are you telling this right now?
- 38:40Speaker 2: You can?
- 38:40Speaker 4: I have to voice, I have to voice the text
- 38:42Speaker 4: big picture.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Jesus Christ, I finally get to answer. Jesus.
- 38:46Speaker 4: Thank you so much for no boo last night.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Did you make phone calls?
- 38:52Speaker 4: I had such a good time talking about if I
- 38:55Speaker 4: would be a good fit at several of Disney's studios.
- 38:59Speaker 4: You see you on Monday for the start of the
- 39:02Speaker 4: big job.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Salmon, you took this and see, this is exactly what
- 39:07Speaker 1: I mean.
- 39:07Speaker 8: I am always second to Salmon, and I don't know
- 39:11Speaker 8: how and sure word, does salmon have the better ideas?
- 39:14Speaker 1: Maybe? Does Salmon have a really keen eye and the
- 39:17Speaker 1: sense for vision? For composition? Absolutely? But I can't help
- 39:23Speaker 1: but just say, I'm twenty five fucking years old. He's ten.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I know that's the gimmick.
- 39:28Speaker 4: But like what I thought you said, you were getting
- 39:30Speaker 4: your own meetings. We've been trying to branch out from
- 39:32Speaker 4: the duo recently. But yeah, no, that was just I
- 39:37Speaker 4: just kind of stealed the deal. We haven't put any
- 39:38Speaker 4: ink to page yet, but yeah, I might have a
- 39:42Speaker 4: first Loick deal at.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Disney and Alex anything going on for you?
- 39:47Speaker 8: So, Lou, I've been doing some commercial spots lately.
- 39:51Speaker 6: Yikes, yikes, yikes, sorry sorry, No, that's great.
- 40:01Speaker 2: What commercial work is work? Rex?
- 40:03Speaker 6: Wow?
- 40:03Speaker 2: So you you criticize people's jobs just for taking jobs
- 40:06Speaker 2: for money?
- 40:07Speaker 6: No, no, no, I've never taken a job for money.
- 40:09Speaker 2: All my sci fi movies.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Have never taken a job for money.
- 40:11Speaker 4: Have you been offered a job for money? No?
- 40:14Speaker 2: I do everything for free, So I.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Handle I handle a lot of the finances. Keith has
- 40:21Speaker 5: electively chosen not to receive a paycheck, but I do
- 40:25Speaker 5: you know, I fund the house.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I fund a lot of these things.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Are you know we want to say, I say, Brodie
- 40:31Speaker 2: handle all of it. Just make sure I'm fed. And
- 40:34Speaker 2: it hasn't been a problem yet.
- 40:37Speaker 1: That's so beautiful.
- 40:38Speaker 8: I mean, listen, I am so inspired by you guys
- 40:41Speaker 8: and what beautiful, beautiful relationships you have. And I can't
- 40:47Speaker 8: help but wish that we had the same.
- 40:49Speaker 6: Sam, Well, can I give you a little bit of
- 40:51Speaker 6: a vice if I can, I mean, I would say,
- 40:54Speaker 6: hold on to that brotherhood because you never know when
- 40:56Speaker 6: it's going to end. Well, yeah, someday sometimes come in.
- 41:02Speaker 7: Yeah, brotherhoods are especially like I don't know when there's
- 41:05Speaker 7: I don't know, I don't know.
- 41:06Speaker 3: It's just it's crazy.
- 41:09Speaker 6: It's crazy when you can just you think somebody's gonna
- 41:11Speaker 6: be in your life forever and then something.
- 41:12Speaker 4: And then they're not.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, fifty percent of brotherhood's end and the
- 41:18Speaker 5: you know, the rates for brotherhoods ending are really high.
- 41:21Speaker 6: And that's the saddest thing about a brotherhood, is it
- 41:24Speaker 6: It has to end at some point.
- 41:25Speaker 8: Well, I mean, and we're half brothers, so I almost
- 41:27Speaker 8: I wonder if it's like twenty five percent for the yeah,
- 41:30Speaker 8: for our rape up.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Yeah, are you guys talking about your triplet? Are you
- 41:35Speaker 2: guys talking about your triplet? Is that what you guys?
- 41:37Speaker 3: We don't have ret We don't don't we don't have one.
- 41:40Speaker 6: We don't have one, and we never had one.
- 41:42Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Like, I'm not someone to lie because it's
- 41:45Speaker 2: too hard for me to keep up with and it's
- 41:47Speaker 2: hard for me to sit here and watch you do
- 41:48Speaker 2: this because I used to serve. I used to surf
- 41:51Speaker 2: with Lex every single day. I used to surf with
- 41:54Speaker 2: Lex banby your triplet. I used to surf with him
- 41:57Speaker 2: down in La Joya. We grew up together. So I
- 42:02Speaker 2: just want to let y'all know that I know Lex
- 42:04Speaker 2: and I know he's doing good and he sends his love.
- 42:06Speaker 2: He told he told me to tell you guys hi, And.
- 42:09Speaker 6: We don't talk about Lex right now, and we'll never
- 42:11Speaker 6: talk about Lex again, Okay, okay.
- 42:14Speaker 7: And I don't know how long ago you said you
- 42:18Speaker 7: talked to Lex when you're surfing, because Lex isn't alive anymore.
- 42:22Speaker 6: Lex died, Okay. There was an accident, an accident.
- 42:26Speaker 3: You know, so it's out.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Well, this is confusing for me because I talked to
- 42:30Speaker 2: him yesterday and he told me he was alive.
- 42:32Speaker 6: Well, maybe you should think a little bit more. Maybe
- 42:35Speaker 6: somebody's texting you from his phone.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Yeah, told me that he told me his family doesn't
- 42:39Speaker 2: support his lifestyle, that he went into finance.
- 42:42Speaker 6: Yeah, that's crazy because Lex is actually dead and he's
- 42:45Speaker 6: been for a.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Long time from a baggag Cheetos.
- 42:48Speaker 6: And it was an accident.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Got leukemia from a baggage Cheetos when we're twelve.
- 42:54Speaker 2: This is confused.
- 42:55Speaker 6: He died when we were twelve and thirteen, This is yeah.
- 42:59Speaker 4: And I was the mechanics of that because I if
- 43:02Speaker 4: it's a high chance of that, I don't want to.
- 43:04Speaker 6: Know the mechanics of it. Stay away from the cheetos
- 43:06Speaker 6: that look a little funky. That's all I'm gonna say.
- 43:09Speaker 2: And I'll tell you again, my brain feels like cotton
- 43:12Speaker 2: candy right now because he told me yesterday he does
- 43:15Speaker 2: not have leukemia. And he told me that he is
- 43:18Speaker 2: a Wall Street shark. He serves in La Joya. He
- 43:22Speaker 2: has a blast post COVID.
- 43:26Speaker 3: And works on Wall Street.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Well, I mean you could do Wall Street from anywhere.
- 43:30Speaker 2: You can do Wall Street from anywhere. He loves the
- 43:33Speaker 2: COVID post COVID lifestyle of working from home because he
- 43:36Speaker 2: doesn't have to be there when they ring the big bell.
- 43:39Speaker 3: So then, what did you did he say anything about us?
- 43:41Speaker 6: What did he have to mention to say that ghost?
- 43:46Speaker 2: He told me he loves you guys. And then this
- 43:48Speaker 2: is what confusing is because he told me I think
- 43:51Speaker 2: they're dead, and so I'm confused. And I was just
- 43:55Speaker 2: gonna mostly ask who's telling the truth. Which one of
- 43:58Speaker 2: y'all is dead?
- 43:59Speaker 3: That mother fucker saw the post. He knows her a lot.
- 44:02Speaker 5: Yeahud be if we asked your parents how many children.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Would they say are alive?
- 44:10Speaker 6: It would say five?
- 44:12Speaker 1: My god, there's more.
- 44:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:15Speaker 7: And I also want to shout out to sex who
- 44:17Speaker 7: did the wardrobe for the post.
- 44:19Speaker 3: She's an awesome wardrobe stylist.
- 44:22Speaker 7: She's our younger sister and she's just now breaking into
- 44:24Speaker 7: the biz.
- 44:25Speaker 6: And her name is sex Bamby, Sex Bamby, and she's
- 44:28Speaker 6: a woman named sex Bamby, the only girl in our
- 44:31Speaker 6: family name sex Bamby.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Incredible, incredible that film Sex Famby.
- 44:40Speaker 1: My god, I I am just I'm blown away.
- 44:43Speaker 6: You know.
- 44:43Speaker 8: I always thought that you two were just this pair
- 44:46Speaker 8: of twins, you guys against the world. But there's you,
- 44:48Speaker 8: there's Lex, and there's sex Bamby, and there's a fifth
- 44:51Speaker 8: mm hmm.
- 44:52Speaker 1: I'd just hear more about this.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Wait is this this wouldn't be pex Bamby, famous bodybuilder.
- 44:58Speaker 6: Yeah, that he's actually.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Related to pex Bambi, Sam, how do you x bamb Is?
- 45:04Speaker 4: On one of our visits to La we went to
- 45:06Speaker 4: Venice Beach. I saw the golds gym thing and I
- 45:09Speaker 4: started getting into like reading about muscles. I'm too young
- 45:12Speaker 4: to work out.
- 45:13Speaker 6: So we are actually uh sink sink tuplet. And but
- 45:20Speaker 6: in order for, you know, to sell the brand. We
- 45:22Speaker 6: have to be twins. Now we're the only ones that really, really,
- 45:25Speaker 6: really really wanted to pursue this. Some of the other
- 45:28Speaker 6: family members wanted to pursue it and then bailed on us. Okay,
- 45:33Speaker 6: and so when we had to make tough decisions on
- 45:36Speaker 6: set and there was three of us, maybe it was
- 45:38Speaker 6: a little better because we had two versus three. We
- 45:40Speaker 6: all we never had a fifty to fifty split.
- 45:42Speaker 3: And thank god, I just have my brother now to console.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Before I want to fuck my wife.
- 45:49Speaker 7: I just have to talk to one of them, because
- 45:51Speaker 7: before it was out of hand.
- 45:53Speaker 3: You ask everybody's approval on everything.
- 45:57Speaker 6: And let's just say Lex did not like Let's just
- 46:01Speaker 6: say Lex does not like Texas wife. That's really what
- 46:04Speaker 6: it comes down to. It'd be a lot of no, no,
- 46:07Speaker 6: you can't fuck your wife, no, no, no, no no. Sex.
- 46:10Speaker 6: Bamby always was saying.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Yes, okay, so sex Bamby, like, what's her deal? Right now?
- 46:19Speaker 6: She's a costumer, she's great, she's.
- 46:21Speaker 1: In wardrobe's but like, what's her deal?
- 46:24Speaker 3: Sex? She's just an awesome girl. She loves possible girl.
- 46:28Speaker 8: Okay, sorry, she's nineteen, but you guys are. You're quintuplets,
- 46:32Speaker 8: and she is years younger.
- 46:33Speaker 3: I mean she's a nineteen year old.
- 46:36Speaker 6: Yeah, she lives like a nineteen year old. That's the thing.
- 46:38Speaker 4: We live like.
- 46:39Speaker 6: We're a little bit older. But she and she's great.
- 46:41Speaker 6: She's single. If you want to go on a date
- 46:43Speaker 6: with her.
- 46:44Speaker 5: Actually, I was wondering about that, if she would be
- 46:48Speaker 5: available to.
- 46:49Speaker 6: You know, we talk to us, talk to us. After this, I.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Would love to have a general meeting with her at night.
- 46:54Speaker 6: Sure, you can talk to us.
- 46:57Speaker 1: If you just want to slip my number into her toe. Oh,
- 47:00Speaker 1: we can do that too, I can.
- 47:01Speaker 4: He's rite it down for you someone.
- 47:03Speaker 1: That's how I flirt with someone I know.
- 47:05Speaker 4: And how many people have called you, it doesn't matter.
- 47:10Speaker 4: The only thing that matters when it comes to flirting
- 47:12Speaker 4: with someone to get there.
- 47:14Speaker 8: I've gotten a call, but it was a butt dial
- 47:17Speaker 8: from one of the people.
- 47:19Speaker 1: No, from Harry, my dad.
- 47:23Speaker 2: So you're just bragging about a butt dial and defensive.
- 47:27Speaker 1: My phone hasn't my phone hasn't been ringing for months,
- 47:29Speaker 1: all right, I admit it. Well you can since the
- 47:32Speaker 1: color of what.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Yay, Alex dude, I kind of like you. I think
- 47:36Speaker 2: you're a good guy. So if you ever want to
- 47:38Speaker 2: chat about.
- 47:38Speaker 1: It, you don't have to say that.
- 47:39Speaker 8: Everyone always likes Sam, Sam Salmon the Savant, Samon the Star, Salmon,
- 47:45Speaker 8: Salmon the big boy. Well, you know what, Salmon's a
- 47:47Speaker 8: baby boy, and I'm the big boy around here.
- 47:50Speaker 1: I'm the big man.
- 47:50Speaker 6: Come on, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Who has to drive you to set? Who has to
- 47:55Speaker 1: who has to accompany you on flights?
- 47:56Speaker 8: Because you can't be an unaccompanied minor, because like, no
- 47:59Speaker 8: one's gonna.
- 48:00Speaker 6: Do with art and just kind of sounds like they're
- 48:02Speaker 6: a babysitter.
- 48:03Speaker 8: I know no, actually, yeah no, no, I'm an artist.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I'm a goddamn artist, all right.
- 48:09Speaker 8: Every everything we've ever done is because I could hold
- 48:11Speaker 8: the cameras too heavy for him.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Can I ask you a question, Alex? There was a
- 48:15Speaker 2: question that you guys kind of diverted earlier that Rex asked,
- 48:20Speaker 2: excuse me, I'm not sure, bro, don't ever disrespect me.
- 48:24Speaker 2: For the record, I will not be pushed over.
- 48:27Speaker 6: I'm very red right now, your face very red.
- 48:31Speaker 5: Keith sidebar let's cool off a bit, buddy, But it's
- 48:36Speaker 5: gonna be okay. Thanks, It's gonna be okay. Are we
- 48:40Speaker 5: ready to get back out there.
- 48:41Speaker 2: You're my rock, all right, hey, and your my bird.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Let's go Alex. The question that Rex asked earlier, I
- 48:50Speaker 2: think it would be really fun to answer, what was
- 48:53Speaker 2: the best moment you guys had on sets together?
- 48:56Speaker 6: Did I ask that?
- 48:58Speaker 3: Text?
- 48:59Speaker 2: Text?
- 49:00Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, text, We're so sorry.
- 49:03Speaker 8: It's a great question, and it's honestly, Can I be honest,
- 49:07Speaker 8: It's been a long time since we've had nice moments.
- 49:10Speaker 1: A lot of times on set, I'm trying to put
- 49:12Speaker 1: on a mask.
- 49:13Speaker 8: I'm trying to put on a good face. I'm trying to,
- 49:15Speaker 8: you know, be the good older brother that I that
- 49:17Speaker 8: I got to be.
- 49:18Speaker 1: But right the days I remember actually the day we
- 49:22Speaker 1: wrapped the color of what.
- 49:25Speaker 8: We were setting up for the Martini shot, and I
- 49:29Speaker 8: looked at I looked at Salmon, and I said, make
- 49:33Speaker 8: that a virgin Martini shot. Samon, you take the reins
- 49:36Speaker 8: on this one. And and Samon led us through the
- 49:40Speaker 8: end of the film. He let us through the last
- 49:41Speaker 8: take and then wee Sam is a virgin. So Sam,
- 49:45Speaker 8: I can't drink and he has his ten.
- 49:52Speaker 4: You can't make fun of me that because I am ten,
- 49:54Speaker 4: he has ten.
- 49:55Speaker 3: So not making funny. I would never it's all good.
- 49:58Speaker 1: No, no, it's yeah.
- 50:01Speaker 8: But we we held each other and cried, Sam, And
- 50:05Speaker 8: I mean that's how I remember it.
- 50:06Speaker 1: I assume it's the same way for you.
- 50:09Speaker 4: Uh, it was a little different in my memory. And
- 50:12Speaker 4: I know that I'm a little younger, so you know,
- 50:14Speaker 4: trust whoever's memory you want. But the way I remembered
- 50:17Speaker 4: it is that you were desperately running through the shot
- 50:21Speaker 4: list fast while I was in class so that you
- 50:23Speaker 4: could get the Martini shot to direct it. And then
- 50:26Speaker 4: I like finally made it out of class, and then
- 50:28Speaker 4: you were like and then you kind of like put
- 50:30Speaker 4: on this visage of like being happy that I was back,
- 50:33Speaker 4: but like then you were kind of brooding over by
- 50:34Speaker 4: Crafty for the last shot when everybody like celebrated or
- 50:38Speaker 4: but then.
- 50:38Speaker 1: We did hug We held each other and cried. We
- 50:39Speaker 1: hugged and cried.
- 50:40Speaker 4: You tackled me into a grip truck.
- 50:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 50:45Speaker 8: I guess, I just I guess it's just like memory
- 50:47Speaker 8: is subjective, and I guess we'll never actually know what
- 50:49Speaker 8: really happened. But at least for me, it was a
- 50:50Speaker 8: really special moment. I was like, this is my baby brother,
- 50:53Speaker 8: This is my baby brother.
- 50:55Speaker 4: Well, you held my face into the concrete and said this.
- 50:57Speaker 4: You pointed to like the cast and said, this is
- 50:59Speaker 4: my baby brother.
- 51:00Speaker 6: Really hitting that baby.
- 51:02Speaker 8: He was he is a baby, you know, you know
- 51:04Speaker 8: we have nicknames or on set, and you know, he
- 51:06Speaker 8: was always he was baby, and so that was just
- 51:09Speaker 8: kind of a fun joke.
- 51:10Speaker 1: You would always say, hey, baby, your baby, and so.
- 51:13Speaker 8: That was like, that was fun because I also showed
- 51:15Speaker 8: off our age difference because no one called me baby,
- 51:17Speaker 8: but he was he was baby.
- 51:18Speaker 1: What did they call you?
- 51:20Speaker 3: What they call me?
- 51:21Speaker 1: They called They called me big man. Everyone we walk
- 51:24Speaker 1: around they said, hey, big Man.
- 51:26Speaker 6: That honestly sounds like a like they're calling you the
- 51:28Speaker 6: young person, because you usually say that to kids, man,
- 51:33Speaker 6: what's up big man?
- 51:36Speaker 8: It off and get big man, I get Champ, I
- 51:39Speaker 8: get I get son, I'd get a little guy.
- 51:43Speaker 6: He was baby.
- 51:44Speaker 1: I mean like he was like unequivocally baby, and so
- 51:46Speaker 1: that was like, dude, that was well.
- 51:48Speaker 6: I will say on set like usually I'm like, what's
- 51:50Speaker 6: up baby, you know, like to a lot of people.
- 51:52Speaker 6: That was the only time we'll equally.
- 51:55Speaker 4: People would be like, oh, like Sam and baby, and
- 51:57Speaker 4: then it would just like especially when like older act
- 52:00Speaker 4: rest salmon Baby. No, they'd be like, salmon baby coming
- 52:04Speaker 4: to my trailer. We're all having fun, and then Alex
- 52:06Speaker 4: would be like, oh, me too, and then they would
- 52:07Speaker 4: kind of close the door.
- 52:10Speaker 8: Yeah, I was doing I was I was helping up
- 52:13Speaker 8: with their start paperwork, and so it was like I
- 52:14Speaker 8: actually didn't have time.
- 52:15Speaker 4: Oh you're doing third a D work work like Alex
- 52:19Speaker 4: on set. I just want to be like clear.
- 52:21Speaker 3: Oh god, wow, whoa.
- 52:24Speaker 7: I will question what's next for everybody? What's everybody working on?
- 52:28Speaker 2: Text?
- 52:29Speaker 4: And Rex would love to hear your guys, because I'm
- 52:32Speaker 4: huge fans of you.
- 52:33Speaker 6: Well, we got a couple of things lined up we're
- 52:35Speaker 6: really excited about. We got this little indie flick called
- 52:38Speaker 6: Elephants in the Sun. We got another flick called Clock Mountain.
- 52:44Speaker 4: And for each of these, can you give just a
- 52:45Speaker 4: short log line?
- 52:47Speaker 6: Yeah, So, Elephants in the Sun is about this elephant
- 52:49Speaker 6: trainer who ends up finding this woman living with another
- 52:53Speaker 6: elephant and they fall in love.
- 52:55Speaker 7: And Clock Mountain is about a really tired, tired claw
- 53:01Speaker 7: and it's kind of the origin story of Clogsworth from
- 53:05Speaker 7: Beauty and the Beast, but we're doing it through the
- 53:08Speaker 7: lens of clock and it's actually going to be a horror.
- 53:14Speaker 5: Yeah, so you're doing a show, so you're doing you're
- 53:16Speaker 5: following the story of a clock, but through the lens
- 53:19Speaker 5: of a clock.
- 53:20Speaker 6: Yeah, so it's crazy.
- 53:22Speaker 3: So it's the clock seeing a clock.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Is a twenty four about this?
- 53:27Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 53:28Speaker 6: They do? They do?
- 53:29Speaker 2: You tell?
- 53:29Speaker 6: The next thing we're doing is uh where we are
- 53:31Speaker 6: rebooting The Lord of the Rings on Amazon? My god?
- 53:34Speaker 2: That way?
- 53:36Speaker 4: Also, how did you bury the lead there?
- 53:40Speaker 3: You're crazy?
- 53:41Speaker 6: It's just they're all equal, they're all doing it.
- 53:43Speaker 7: We're doing it in partnership with Gatoraide and we're doing Yeah.
- 53:51Speaker 7: So so it's they're going to be in shorter forms.
- 53:56Speaker 7: They're going to play like at the super Bowl?
- 53:58Speaker 8: Are they going to be like are they going to
- 53:59Speaker 8: be like ritically shot like Snapchat is going to be.
- 54:03Speaker 6: We're trying to do both.
- 54:04Speaker 3: We're trying to do an A cam and a B camp.
- 54:06Speaker 7: So so are these commercials?
- 54:09Speaker 6: No, they're not commercials.
- 54:14Speaker 2: I don't want you guys to have to spoil anything.
- 54:16Speaker 2: But might we see frodo sweating green or orange?
- 54:20Speaker 6: I mean, come on, duh, because a lot.
- 54:23Speaker 3: Of the thing now is my wife I don't know.
- 54:26Speaker 6: Only with my permission, only with my permission?
- 54:29Speaker 2: Do you book the grips? Is the question?
- 54:31Speaker 4: Have you shot? Have you shot any of these yet? Oh?
- 54:34Speaker 6: Yeah, we've shot book one and book two? Kind of
- 54:37Speaker 6: uh are.
- 54:38Speaker 4: There any moments from set?
- 54:40Speaker 6: You know?
- 54:41Speaker 4: I wonder how that differs if it's you know, product
- 54:43Speaker 4: placement and sponsored.
- 54:44Speaker 6: Well, that's the beauty of the Gatorade. Really let us
- 54:46Speaker 6: go free with everything.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Such a j R.
- 54:51Speaker 6: Told the estate was not happy, but they ended up
- 54:55Speaker 6: being such good guys.
- 54:56Speaker 3: Yeah, such good guys on all fronts.
- 54:58Speaker 6: Yeah, like a lot of it instead of drink mead
- 55:00Speaker 6: or going to taverns. A lot of those Gatorade you know,
- 55:04Speaker 6: the ring.
- 55:04Speaker 5: Is now they label like the bottles or the you know,
- 55:08Speaker 5: the canisters.
- 55:09Speaker 4: Like printing a lot more.
- 55:11Speaker 6: It's like you think about the original Lord of the
- 55:13Speaker 6: Rings when they're in the tavern and they're just drinking drinks.
- 55:16Speaker 6: It's now it's all Gatorade paraphernalia. And there's a lot
- 55:19Speaker 6: of athletes sitting there, the Ring Raiths. We actually got
- 55:22Speaker 6: a bunch of football players, which are great. They're gonna
- 55:24Speaker 6: and very funny.
- 55:26Speaker 3: A great group of guys in that team.
- 55:29Speaker 6: Yeah, the dumping you do the dumping of all the
- 55:32Speaker 6: time expect you guys, wait wait until they destroy the ring,
- 55:35Speaker 6: wait until they just wait for that.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Dum, wait till the ring. But the ring still kind
- 55:40Speaker 4: of holds true to how it looks like in the
- 55:41Speaker 4: original movies.
- 55:42Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly, it's just Zack instead of Alvin, it says Gatorade.
- 55:46Speaker 6: That's the only big that's a big difference.
- 55:48Speaker 2: But it's exciting on the list, freaking goose bumps thinking
- 55:52Speaker 2: about that.
- 55:52Speaker 4: That's great.
- 55:53Speaker 6: So check out Gatorade presents the Lord of the Rings Trilogy,
- 55:57Speaker 6: coming to most devices. They'll be on TV, it'll be
- 56:00Speaker 6: ont on.
- 56:01Speaker 5: Amazon Prime on Amazon, and it's also gonna be the
- 56:05Speaker 5: Super Bowl halftime show.
- 56:07Speaker 6: They're gonna Yeah, they're gonna play it.
- 56:09Speaker 4: So it's first time ever it's not music.
- 56:12Speaker 2: Y'all are really bearing the lead because this is kind
- 56:14Speaker 2: of changing the entire landscape of almost every media. But
- 56:17Speaker 2: I wouldn't.
- 56:18Speaker 6: I would not write off, I would not write up
- 56:20Speaker 6: our movie.
- 56:20Speaker 1: About the clock, no Clock Mountain. I cannot wait for
- 56:24Speaker 1: Clock Mountain.
- 56:25Speaker 4: Well, you wake up and you would go to set
- 56:27Speaker 4: for both of those projects as if they're both big
- 56:29Speaker 4: deal hierarchy.
- 56:31Speaker 6: So we wake up in our same bed, we say
- 56:34Speaker 6: our morning kisses. We kind of move on from there.
- 56:36Speaker 1: We get to say your morning kisses.
- 56:39Speaker 6: Yeah, you guys don't say your kisses.
- 56:41Speaker 1: I say, what would that look like?
- 56:43Speaker 3: Sure, I'll do it.
- 56:44Speaker 6: Yeah, we can do our morning ritual.
- 56:46Speaker 7: Ready, I'm waking up, ready, waking up. My eyes are opening,
- 56:49Speaker 7: waking up. Hey brother, I kiss you today. I kiss
- 56:54Speaker 7: my wife and I kiss my three children.
- 56:58Speaker 6: Hey, brother, I kiss you today. You don't kiss your wife,
- 57:04Speaker 6: and you better not.
- 57:05Speaker 1: So you guys also live together?
- 57:07Speaker 4: Oh yeah, just like the Mitchell brothers.
- 57:09Speaker 1: You guys also live together.
- 57:12Speaker 3: But they don't live together.
- 57:13Speaker 6: No. No, that's why we were asking earlier. Because we
- 57:15Speaker 6: live together. We live together. We really live together, you know,
- 57:19Speaker 6: inside and out?
- 57:20Speaker 5: Really do your wife and kids also live there?
- 57:23Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 57:23Speaker 6: Yeah all the time. Yeah they're great. She's great. And
- 57:27Speaker 6: when you know, great guys, guys.
- 57:30Speaker 3: Great group of guys are kiddos. Okay, Mitchell brothers, what
- 57:34Speaker 3: about you?
- 57:35Speaker 2: What are you guys?
- 57:35Speaker 4: This morning routines?
- 57:37Speaker 2: Oh, what's up?
- 57:38Speaker 6: Upcoming projects? Come next?
- 57:40Speaker 4: Salmon?
- 57:41Speaker 6: Also morning routines, let's hear it.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Okay, maybe let's start with morning routines.
- 57:46Speaker 5: So so we don't live together.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Our office beds are in the same room.
- 57:53Speaker 5: So every once in a while, if we have to
- 57:54Speaker 5: sleep at the office, we'll each you know, get up
- 57:58Speaker 5: from our bed.
- 57:59Speaker 6: Are they bunked beds or they.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Loft it's a double loft. So there's the desk at
- 58:04Speaker 2: the bottom because this person in office, and then there's
- 58:06Speaker 2: a bed above the deck.
- 58:08Speaker 6: Like a college freshman dormitory.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, it's like an adult kind of film office. Yeah,
- 58:13Speaker 2: it's kind of.
- 58:14Speaker 5: Like, yeah, like if if two adults were making a movie,
- 58:17Speaker 5: that's where they would office.
- 58:18Speaker 2: Yeah. So we wake up, we talk about how behind
- 58:21Speaker 2: we are on a lot of the stuff we're doing,
- 58:23Speaker 2: and then we look and then we talk about positives.
- 58:25Speaker 2: It's our versions of roses and thorns.
- 58:27Speaker 5: Yeah, but we start with thorns.
- 58:29Speaker 2: We start the day with so we're behind on this,
- 58:32Speaker 2: we're behind on that, but then we got this today,
- 58:35Speaker 2: We got that today.
- 58:36Speaker 6: What were some positives from today's morning?
- 58:39Speaker 5: Oh? Today, Well we are thorns. We woke up and
- 58:44Speaker 5: we said, you know, we are behind on uh chinchilla
- 58:50Speaker 5: lightning storm. We're behind on that. We're behind on nearly
- 58:53Speaker 5: every aspect of that.
- 58:58Speaker 2: The positive was approved seventy five separate cups for over
- 59:04Speaker 2: three hundred and fifty seats.
- 59:06Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and it was great because they were all
- 59:08Speaker 5: the same cup, just.
- 59:09Speaker 2: You know, but it was like, can we make it work?
- 59:12Speaker 2: Can we get the cup in the right locations when
- 59:14Speaker 2: we need it? Well, it fit the schedules to have
- 59:16Speaker 2: that cup in all of these scenes, and they.
- 59:18Speaker 5: Are factory produced, so I will say every single cup
- 59:21Speaker 5: will turn out the same.
- 59:22Speaker 1: It also sounds like you run continuity as well as
- 59:26Speaker 1: well as kind of like making decisions on what the
- 59:30Speaker 1: art is.
- 59:30Speaker 8: You're making sure that continuity is the same across every
- 59:33Speaker 8: single frame.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:35Speaker 6: Yeah, man.
- 59:35Speaker 2: And then movies were working on should we just go
- 59:38Speaker 2: through a list of like I don't know ten movies?
- 59:39Speaker 6: We got?
- 59:40Speaker 3: Yeah, do all ten?
- 59:42Speaker 2: Okay, so here's okay, So we got Weasel, Earthquake, Yeah, fall.
- 59:59Speaker 5: Down, Okay, so we got we got uh, we got
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: b Rain so that's a rain story.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: We got we got Jellyfish, Sish.
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: Sleet, we got we got Red Robin Tornado, which I
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: will say, yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: More brand.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: That's amazing.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: Yeah, so that'll be available on Prime video in between episodes.
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: Is doing a lot of sponsored stuff, right, which is great?
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Is that sponsored by Red Robin or is it kind

- 1:01:18Speaker 5: Okay, so then we have then we have worm mudslide.
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: Early bird gets the mud slide.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Anyway, that's really good. We've got bear drought.
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: It's a situation where there's no bears don't.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Have water to drink or the drought is a bear bears.
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: You know, so the bears are really thirsty. It's honestly
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: more of a nature documentary than anything else.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: That one is for Animal Planet.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: How is it communicated visually that they're thirsty.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: It's just kind of I mean, it's real footage of

- 1:02:08Speaker 5: No, So that is climate change and we're just taking
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: it as it's naturally happening.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I didn't have science anyway, So thirteen more.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Let's go to do him fast, fast, past past fast.

- 1:02:31Speaker 6: of these angel fish fire. That's that's fun.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: That one.
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: No, no, because he will already be put down.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: So he's not free.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: After angelfish, After angel fish fire, we're going to be
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: working on a caterpillar honeymoon.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: The script that read that is a love story.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I will say that is more of.
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: A love story by some issues with.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Sci fi, with but but but the secret is the
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: honeymoon is in the middle of a a.
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: Sleet, necessarily dangerous, but it does spoil a honeymoon.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: So the next one is uh uh eel piranha. So
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: that's a half eel, half piranha, and it's just in
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: regular water. There's no weather monsterflick though.
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: I dig it, I dig it, and that's very small too.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: The next one is squid fog Squid fog Man.

- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it'll be really cool.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: And then we also have a plant tropical storm and
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: that's like a bunch of spiky plants traveling through the
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: mid Atlantic.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Oh, I smell, I smell south By.
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: With that one, let me just tell you just well
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: fingers crossed up by.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: And then to be honest, we're after that starting a
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: eight to ten series movie. It's a a trilogy times
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: three that is called Flamingo Rock Slide.
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: You're doing like a cgi carry Fisher thing for.

- 1:04:16Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, And she's going to be the Flamingo or
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: she's going to be the rock slide.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: So it's the people that are caught in a rock
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: side of Flamingos.
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: She's going to start to bring somebody back only for
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: them to die in a rock slide.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: They're not dead, they're trapped.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: We are currently working with the estate about how dead
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: we can show an already dead person.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: But we are pushing for full Death.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and then we get it. That feels good, and
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: then that'll take us to December and then do you
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: want to reveal.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: The last Yeah, that was Flamingo Rock slide one, two
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: three does a lot of work, yeah, a.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Lot of work.

- 1:04:57Speaker 8: these pictures lined up and this will take you through.
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: So what is like a shooting schedule look like for
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: each of these?
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: All I can say is we love our first team,
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: we love our second team, we love our additional units.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: That's all I can say.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: That's all we can say.
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: But we are you know, we were shooting all the

- 1:07:08Speaker 4: them while they're down.
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: But they were probably like, oh, let's get Guinty in
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: on this. If we're doing a deal with Sam and
- 1:07:13Speaker 8: we need Guinty in there too.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: They were talking about creating like a fake project to

- 1:07:18Speaker 4: through development hell as a prank.
- 1:07:19Speaker 6: Well that's nice. At least.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: It's good to feel included. Yeah, it's okay.
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: I actually I you know, I have some projects coming
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: up for myself.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: I have a couple.

- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Still I mean, it's like no, it's it's exciting, man.

- 1:08:03Speaker 4: We do that we are contractually obligated that.
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: We're both very project is that it is called, uh,

- 1:08:16Speaker 8: It is, Yes, that's exactly what they're They're letting us read.
- 1:08:19Speaker 8: They're letting us bring back Babe. And so we're kind

- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Thriller this time Babe the predator.
- 1:08:29Speaker 6: Where is the detective?
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: So Babe's like an evil pig who killed me?
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: The Babe.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Have you ever thought.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: About making the pig like a sort of earthquake situation.
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: Or like maybe the pig like like, uh, like breaks
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: a story for the New York Times and then Watergate happens.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Yeah, he breaks it before water.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Working with pigs. Pigs are really smart. We worked with

- 1:09:03Speaker 2: Let's just say, let's just really smart.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: They're like you could tell him to sit and it

- 1:09:07Speaker 2: No, let no.
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: Who was directing the movie at a certain point, whether
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: it was me or whether it.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Was the Let's just say I looked around and all
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: the pigs were wearing hats, and I said, I didn't
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: improve that, and I didn't even get those.
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: And then they were on.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Those director's chairs that were shaped like pig size.
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: They were I don't know where they got this farm
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: situation hallucination.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Did Keith kind of keep his cool or did he
