Braves Beat Cubs, But Ritchie's Lack of Whiffs & Atlanta’s Lefty Relief Problem Loom | Atlanta Braves Podcast
Atlanta beats the Cubs 4-1 to take the series and set up a sweep with Chris Sale next. Lindsay Crosby breaks down J.R. Ritchie’s solid results but concerning lack of whiffs, rising pitch counts, and sustainability. The bullpen usage suggests diminished trust in Aaron Bummer, elevating Martín Pérez, Dylan Lee, Robert Suárez, and Raisel Iglesias. The Braves may need another leverage reliever (ideally a lefty) at the deadline, with targets discussed from likely sellers, while noting Mike Yastrzemski’s recent surge could shift priorities.
