  Speaker 1: as we get ready for this morning's front porch friday

  Speaker 1: moment um The Word of God comes to us from
• 0:37
  Speaker 1: Psalm 66 and verse 16. I had an opportunity to
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: spend a little time this week in the Psalms, and
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: this particular verse comes to us this morning. I thought
• 0:49
  Speaker 1: it would be a great one to start our Friday
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: edition here. It says, Come in here, all ye that
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: fear God, and I will declare what he hath done
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: for my soul. For the past few weeks here on
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: Front Porch Fridays, I have been sharing letters from some
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: of you, played songs that connected kind of with those stories.
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: And I love those moments because those moments have reminded me,
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: but hopefully reminded all of us, that behind every comment
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: and every email and every name is a real person
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: who's walking through a real season just like all of
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: us are. And so we encourage one another with that. Today, though,
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: instead of reading a letter, I wanted to ask you
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: a question What is the one thing that God has
• 1:39
  Speaker 1: done for you lately that you want to praise Him for?
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: What is one thing that God has done for you
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: lately that you would like to praise Him for? Now,
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: it doesn't have to be something dramatic. You don't have
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: to write an entire testimony or share anything too personal.

  Speaker 1: Maybe God answered a prayer this past week or this
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: past month, and you just want to praise Him for it.
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: Maybe He provided something that you needed just when you
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: needed it. Maybe He restored a relationship. Or He just
• 2:13
  Speaker 1: simply gave you strength to make it through another day. See,
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: your answer might be as simple as, God helped me
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: get out of bed this morning. It might be He
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: protected my family when they needed it during travel. He
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: gave me another opportunity. He reminded me that I'm not
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: alone in this world. Whatever it is, Psalm 66 says,
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: And verse 16 reminds us, Come and hear all ye
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: that fear God, and I will declare what he hath
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: done for my soul. And that's what's so important. There
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: is something powerful about declaring what God has done in
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: our lives. When we speak about his faithfulness, we are
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: not only giving him praise, we are also offering encouragement
• 3:00
  Speaker 1: to someone who might be struggling financially. to recognize the
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: hand of the Lord in their own life. But we're
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: also declaring it in front of our enemy that our
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: God still provides for His children. Your short answer this
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: morning could be exactly what another person needs to read today.
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: So once again, here is the question. What's the one
• 3:25
  Speaker 1: thing God has done for you lately that you just
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: want to praise Him for? Now, if you receive these
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: devotions from someone else, maybe through a text message or
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: through Facebook, I want you to please make sure that
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: you open the devotion in YouTube, not just playing it
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: within the message itself. Before leaving your response book, you
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: need to tap the YouTube link, go to the YouTube channel,
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: and when it opens up, you'll see a little space
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: there where you can make comments. And that's where not
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: only I can see them, but I'll be able to
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: post them, and it'll be able to encourage other people.

  Speaker 1: I would love to hear from as many of you
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: as possible today. I've been kind of pouring out letters
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: from you to other people on this devotion time, but
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: now it's time for you to pour into other people
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: as well, and even bless my heart in such a
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: mighty way. If you're comfortable doing that, just take a
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: little time this morning to do that and finish that sentence.
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: I want you to finish this sentence. Lately, God has,
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: and then you fill in the blank. Sometimes we become
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: so focused on what We're still waiting for that we
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: forget to acknowledge what God has already done. And that's
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: what we want to take a little time on the
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: front porch this morning and do that. Today, let's fill
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: this front porch with reminders of God's goodness. See, your
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: testimony does not have to be long to be powerful.
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: Sometimes a few simple words about God's faithfulness can give
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: someone else the courage they need to believe and keep going. Today,
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: you be safe. You be strong and you be blessed.

  Speaker 1: And you be aware of what God has done for
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: you lately. And declare it as powerfully as you can.
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: Lord's will, we'll see you back here again on Monday.
