  Speaker 1: Matthew chapter three. We're gonna go ahead and jump into

  Speaker 1: chapter four and this will all make sense later. How

  Speaker 1: So I'm giving you a little bit of time to

  Speaker 1: a little bit about where I'm at or whatever I

  Speaker 1: want to talk about. This is the Imbra Show. I

  Speaker 1: thing I want to talk about, Like we have this

  Speaker 1: free will. I put on the consciousness of Christ each

  Speaker 1: and every day, and I've been doing that for I

  Speaker 1: want to say, six months something of that nature, six

  Speaker 1: to seven months. But there's been plenty of times when

  Speaker 1: I have been just a believer, and I have been

  Speaker 1: just someone that just was passing through and it was

  Speaker 1: kind of on the fence and didn't know if I.

  Speaker 2: Really wanted to surrender to God.

  Speaker 1: I had to go through my trials and tribulations a

  Speaker 1: little bit different, and I bet you do too as well.

  Speaker 1: Everybody's journey is different. It's not necessarily a competition. You know.

  Speaker 1: God is very patient and gracious with us. He's a
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: loving father. A lot of us didn't have a loving father,
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: and I'm talking about an earthly father. I know I
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: didn't necessarily have an emotionally loving father. Provider decent, but

  Speaker 1: loving not so much, and he had his own demons,
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: But either way, that was my dad and.
• 2:08
  Speaker 2: Rest in peace.

  Speaker 1: Five years ago he passed away stays four lung cancer,

  Speaker 1: and I miss him. But at the same time, I

  Speaker 1: hope and pray that he's in a better place, and

  Speaker 1: I hope that I was able to shed light on

  Speaker 1: him with my faith as a believer. But at the

  Speaker 1: end of the day, you know, that's not my place

  Speaker 1: to say. Who goes to heaven and who goes to Hell.

  Speaker 1: a personal relationship. And we're in Matthew chapter four if

  Speaker 1: we're going to be talking about the devil tries to

  Speaker 1: make Jesus do wrong things, just like he tries to
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: make us do wrong things all the time. And we

  Speaker 1: are so not.

  Speaker 2: Only distracted, but we are influenced. We are manipulated.

  Speaker 1: We are and it's not just by TV and social

  Speaker 1: media to buy people as well. The demons love to
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: be able to get into vessels and temples meaning us
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: as human beings, and really say and do things, just
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: like when you have the Holy Spirit, it says and
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: does things. It's very that simple. What side do you
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: really want to be on? And you can't stay on
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: the fence because the fence belongs to the devil. And
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: I'm here as a messenger to know that I'm sorry,
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: not just to know, but to show that.
• 3:37
  Speaker 2: I've been on the fence. I've been on.
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: The other side as well. So I've made that commitment.

  Speaker 1: I have surrendered, and I have not only just a

  Speaker 1: belief system, but a consciousness of Christ.

  Speaker 1: So let's get into verse one. Then the Holy Spirit,

  Speaker 1: let's get it, led Jesus into the wilderness. See that's
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: the first sentence of Matthew chapter four. Think about this
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: for a second. Then the Holy Spirit led Jesus into
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: the wilderness. The Holy Spirit, just like the other spirits
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: when we're talking about evil, will take you through different things.
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: This is a life of different tests. I want you
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: to understand that God didn't even spare his own son.
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: Do you think He's gonna spare you. It's up to
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: you how. You just determine which way you're gonna go.
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: That's free will. While he was there, the devil came
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: to him. He tried to cause Jesus to do wrong things.
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: Verse two. Jesus did not eat anything for forty days
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: and forty nights. At the end of this time, he
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: was very hungry. This is where we go really deep,
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: because this is how the devil tempted Jesus, and I'm
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: going to show you how these parables, how he tempts
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: us as well. He's very clever. Then the devil came
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: to Jesus and said to him, if you are the
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: son of God, speak to these stones, tell them to
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: become bred. So he's already.
• 5:26
  Speaker 2: Trying to manipulate Jesus in this sense.
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: But here we go verse four. Jesus replied, No, the
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: Bible says that food alone cannot cause people to live.
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: They need to hear every word that God speaks. That
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: is what gives them true life. And God speaks through people.
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: Before Jesus came, there was people that were God's people,
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: and they were spoken to in a way of what
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: to do and prepare the way. Amen. So let me
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: get into it a little.

  Speaker 2: Let me get into this a little bit deeper.

  Speaker 1: This was a reply.

  Speaker 2: Jesus knew that this was going to come.
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit led him into the wilderness knowing that
• 6:18
  Speaker 1: he was going to be tempted. He already knew it.
• 6:20
  Speaker 2: Little psychics, right, little psyches.
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: Think about this for a second. That kind of holy
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: spirit living in Jesus. We are given that. Oh, thank
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: you God, Glory to God. They need to hear every
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: word that God speaks right. That is what gives them
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: true life. Now we're going to verse five. I already
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: stated that. Then the devil led Jesus to Jerusalem. He
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: made him stand on the highest part of the temple,
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: talking about the mountain. Verse six. He said to Jesus,
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: if you are the son of God, jumped down from
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: here to the ground. You know what the Bible says,
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: God will tell his angels to keep you safe. They
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: will hold you safely in their hands. They will not
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: let you hurt your foot on a stone.
• 7:09
  Speaker 2: Look how Jesus replied verse seven.

  Speaker 1: No. The Bible also says, do not test the Lord
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: your God, to see if he will save you. Verse eight.

  Speaker 1: Then the devil led Jesus up a very high mountain.
• 7:25
  Speaker 1: You see how the test just kept getting stronger and stronger.

  Speaker 1: He was really testing him. Then the devil led Jesus
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: up to a very high mountains. He showed Jesus all
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: the kingdoms in the whole world. They were very great
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: and beautiful. Verse nine. The devil said, I will give
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: you power over all these things. Just go down on
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: your knees in front of me and worship me, and
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: I will give it all to you. There's so many
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: people today that have got everything, and that's because they
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: worship the devil. Everything that belongs to this world, it
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: belongs to the devil. This is the devil's playground. And
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: we are here to glorify God, so we could be
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: able to have our bodies glorified in heaven and be
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: able to be glorified with Jesus and God and heaven.
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: So I want to make this very clear that God
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: sent his only son to be tempted in this way.
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: I kind of stated this in the beginning of the podcast.

  Speaker 1: He's going to do the same for you. He's going
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: to let demons, He's going to let these circumstances come
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: into your life. He wants to see if you're going
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: to choose to give your will to God or choose
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: to give your will to the devil. There is a
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: war going on between God and the devil. Jesus is
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: the mediator. He's the one that is there to save us.

  Speaker 1: He's the one that makes the path that's narrow. I've
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: been on the devil's side, I've been on God's side.

  Speaker 1: I'm not a horrible person, but I have made horrible choices.

  Speaker 1: Now that I am following Christ is God's son, I
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: don't have to worry about living up to God's standards
• 9:33
  Speaker 1: because God's standards is perfection.

  Speaker 2: Nobody can be perfect. Nobody can be like his son.

  Speaker 1: You can get close, but you're gonna always fall short
• 9:44
  Speaker 1: of God's standards. But that's why we need Jesus Christ
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: being able to have the Holy Spirit. Verse ten.

  Speaker 2: Jesus then said to him, Satan, go.
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: Away from me. This is what you gotta say to Satan.
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: This is what you gotta say to the demons. This
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: is what you gotta say say to your depression. This

  Speaker 1: is what you got to say to your anxiety. This
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: is what you got to say to negative people. This
• 10:07
  Speaker 1: is what you got to say, Satan, go away. You
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: gotta tell depression go away in the name of Jesus.

  Speaker 1: Anxiety go away in the name of Jesus. Put on
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: some worship music and let me get deeper. The Bible says,
• 10:20
  Speaker 1: only worship Jesus, your Lord God.
• 10:24
  Speaker 2: He is the only one that you should. Oh.
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: Hey, don't listen to the enemies, don't listen to your thoughts,
• 10:33
  Speaker 1: don't listen to the way, to the way that you feel,
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: fixate yourself on God, Jesus in the Holy Spirit, and
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: see what happens. I guarantee you through time, the demons
• 10:47
  Speaker 1: will flee, the devil will be like, I can't mess
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: with that one. I don't mean the attacks aren't gonna come.
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: You have to be ready for any attack. And this
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: is how and this is how we get deeper into
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: the Word. Amen. Matthew Chapter four, verse eleven states Then

  Speaker 1: the devil left Jesus alone. Immediately angels came to Jesus
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: and they took care of him. Hanging in there. When
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: you're going through these trials and tribulations and you're going
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: through these spiritual attacks, call upon the Lord Jesus, call
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: upon the angels, and in time, those angels will take
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: care of you.
• 11:29
  Speaker 2: The Holy Spirit will take care of you.
• 11:32
  Speaker 1: I am a witness to this. There's there's millions of
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: witnesses to this. But you have to fixate yourself on
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: worshiping God by following not only just Jesus, but praising Jesus,
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: praying to Jesus, getting into the Word, being around like
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: minded people that are following that, our believers as well.

  Speaker 1: Come on, let's let's let's make this simple. Let's make
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: this Bible simple tonight. I love Matthew. Chapter four, Jesus
