live so we're gonna be talking about good verse evil. We're gonna be in

the Book of Romans, chapter number twelve, verse number nine, and then

we're gonna stay in chapter twelve, and we're gonna go to verse twenty one,

and we're gonna sandwich verses nine and twenty one from Romans chapter twelve together,

we're gonna talk about good verse evil. In the Bible and Psalmn chapter

one hundred and nineteen, verse sixty eight, that verse helps us to hate

evil and love good. The whole thing about God is that God is love.

Right, But did you know that God hates that. God hates a

lot of people say God can't hate. God is all love, God is

all love. But he hates evil? Why because evil is what he cannot

Evil. Well, I shouldn't say he cannot. Evil is something that he

did not invent. Evil is something that was in man's heart. You might

be saying, well, like, if you're like me, so if he

created man and man was inherently evil, which in the Book of Genesis that's

not the case. But after men mankind disobeyed a holy, loving God.

If you notice, after they were kicked out of the garden, then God

started searching the world to see who was good. And he's seen that one

good, and the hearts of men were evil. Amen, because it gave

us a choice to make. He loves us so much. God is love,

He gives us choices. So when he found that none with evil,

none were good, excuse me. And the hearts of men were evil and

wicked. There was a lot of violence in land. He spoke to a

man named Noah. He said, create an arc, because I'm going to

flood out the earth. I'm going to do a reset. And man,

that happened forty days. I think it was right. The floods came and

the arc was already above the water, floating on the water. Amen.

And God start to reset when they found land. You can read about know

what would happened when they found land started again. And to this very day,

when God looks searches around the world, Amen, he sees not one

good. That proves to me that He's the only one who is good.

Amen. If he counts you righteous, though, if we count you good,

like he counts us as born again believers, he says that we're righteous,

gives us the righteous credit. Amen. Because His righteous robe is on

us. But that's another situation for another day. But when he looks at

us, and he looks at him born again believer, looks at his children.

Amen, he calls us righteous, and he calls us clean, and

he calls us good. Amen. But we all know that only God is

One nineteen sixty eight helps us to hate evil and love good. How do

we know what is good versus what is evil? We have to know the

difference, and people don't know the difference. If you don't believe me,

look at the social media posts. Look at someone who attends church. I

was gonna say randomly about consistently. Then they post beautiful things during the church

service, and then during the week not too beautiful. Then church service,

beautiful things, send the blessings, and then after the church not too good.

They don't know what's the difference between good and evil? Right, we

have an enemy of our soul that's trying to convince us that good is bad

and bad is good. I'm telling you this is a constant thing. But

God is a constant God. Amen, show us in his word. We're

gonna be a Romans chapter number twelve, verse nine and Romans Chapter number twelve,

verse twenty one. We're gonna put those together for today's morning devo.

And we could be what God calls us to be according to his word,

because that's his plan and that's his purpose will for our lives. A man

follow the will of God, and you'll be following the mind of God.

the word of God because they're intertwined, they're together. You can't know the

Father, thank you so much that we know the difference because he showed

God, that you will begin to show us and teach us, and we

continue to respond to your spirit, knowing that we know the difference between light

difference between right and wrong. Help us, inspire us, teach us,

show us more and more of what your word is saying, which your word

is doing through us, and let us be really partners agents of change in

I pray a hedge of protection, Lord God, right now over myself,

Good versus evil, Roman chapter twelve. Let's go forward. Let's see what

we have here today in the morning, devo. Amen. Let me change

this real quick, get this out of the way. Let's see what the

word says, Roman, Chapter twelve. We're gonna start a verse number nine.

Love is to be sincere and active, the real thing without gole.

I looked at the word gole. It means deceitful, shrewdness without being deceitful.

And hypocrisy, of course, is hypocrite, play acting, playing the

role but not really living the role. See that a lot in a lot

of communities, not only in the church. You see that in your workplace,

you see that in school, you see that in your family, see

that in your own life. So let's not really blame hypocrisy just on the

Christian Church. Let's look at it for what it really is. It's play

acting people playing the part. So Romans nine twelve. Verse nine says,

love us to be sincere and active, the real thing without God and hypocrisy.

Hate What is evil? Hate? What is evil. It's okay.

They calling us haters anyway, right. The world system says that Christians hate

speech or haters. But listen, we're hating what is evil. Detest all

ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness. Hold on tightly to what is good amazing

right that God will show us in the scriptures that we are called to hate

what is evil? Why? Because we know evil deals with darkness, Evil

deals with hypocrisy, Evil deals in deceit and shrewdness. Evil is the opposite

of live, because if you look at the word evil, you spell it

backwards. L ive live of evil, you're not living, You're actually dying

in sin. If you're practicing evil and wickedness and all that and being shrewd

and deceitful, you're evil because you're not in the light. You're in the

darkness. I was once in the darkness, ladies and gentlemen, and God

took me out of the darkness and brought me into his marvelous light. And

I know a lot of people like me that God has done that too.

I'm not alone. There's men's and men's and men's of us around the world

that we could testify what God did on our hearts and our minds. There's

probably a brother right now in the other side of the world Australia somewhere that

has a similar testimony to mine, and we serve the same God. We

would never have met, or we probably will never meet, on this side

of eternity, but we have an eternity to meet each other on the other

side. Amen, And one day we will meet each other and we could

testify Verse twenty one in Roman chapter twelve. State in Roman chapter twelve.

Amen, Now let's go to verse twenty one, do not be overcome and

conquered by evil, but overcome evil with good. Evil seems to be an

enemy if we could be overcome and conquered by it, God is saying,

do not be overcome and conquered by That means to people that don't have God

are being overcome and conquered by evil, and a lot of them don't even

know it. When I was in sin, living in that lifestyle of sin,

I really didn't know. Honestly, I didn't know I was doing wrong.

I just thought I was doing whatever what everybody else was doing. So

I was just part of the crowd. Amen. And that's the life I

was living. I was actually dying in sin. I was living in sin.

So do not be overcome when God says don't or do not or be

I believe those are commandments. Do not be overcome and conquered by evil,

but overcome evil with what with shouting at people with what with knowing one hundred

scriptures and quoting them over people with what? Just going to church with what?

No? With good? And like I always say, the only thing

that is good in me is Holy Spirit, God, which is God and

the third person living inside of me. Amen. So ultimately, only God

is good. So if you look at the scripture, do not be overcome

and conquered by evil, but overcome evil with God because God is good.

Amen. So Romans twelve, that's one of my favorite chapters in the whole

entire New Testament, Romans chapter twelve. If you know me, you know

I'm always Romans twelve in it. That's one of the slogans of celerity on

networks. So winners ain't Romans twelven it right, do not be conformed to

this the patterns of this world, but be renewed and restored right because we're

redeemed with the new mind. Amen. Love is to be sincere and active.

Why because love is an action word. When we put love in action,

people know that we're following someone who has taught us how to love,

and that someone is God. By way of Jesus and by way of Holy

Spirit. Our Father sent the Son, and the Son sent us his spirit.

All three and one right, This is good verse evil. This is

not evil verse evil is not good verse good. This is good verse evil.

And listen, if you're on the side of God, if you're on

a winning team, Amen, you win, You win. It might take

us time to win, but ultimately we always win in this whole fight between

good verse evil. I hope you're getting what I'm saying. I really hope

you get in this because this will really radically change your attitude, change your

life, change your mind. Amen. And we'll be part of the plan.

there's no cap to this, there's no limits to God. So therefore we

believe God says, don't judge them, right, don't judge them, just

pray for them, be with them, show them the way, the truth

just be who God called you to be. It's not that difficult.

My young friends that I talk to, you know, the young adults and

the teenagers, they put way too much pressure on themselves. When they do

something wrong. They try to escape even church because they say they feel so

ashamed. Listen, go back to God, ask for forgiveness. He will

forgive you. And man, we have a loving father. And Man,

I had a loving father, earthly father, but for whatever reason, he

was snatched out of here when I was only fifteen years old. When I

was a young boy, a man, a young teenager trying to find out

what it meant to be a man. So then the last year of his

life, he would tell me always, he would tell me, when I'm

gone, go look for your heavenly Father. I didn't know what he was

talking about. Amen. Now I know, and I pray that one day

I could see him again in eternity. Amen. But the thing is,

while we're here, whether you have an earthly father or not, we have

a heavenly Father that you could turn to daily, that you could speak to

daily, that you could read about daily, that you could demonstrate his love

inside of you daily. Let God work through you daily. Amen, it's

day by day. People sometimes they ask me how you doing. I said,

I'm taking it day by day. I don't know what tomorrow is gonna

bring, but I do know who knows about tomorrow. I don't know my

future holds, but I do know who holds my future. Amen, lest

the Lord Jesus, do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with

good. And it sounds cliche when you say that, but it's the scripture.

The scripture ain't never cliched. The scripture is always powerful. The scripture

is always on time when you activate it. Get ready, Okay, so

let's let's let's look at something. I believe most of us are drawn to

stories where good triumphs over evil. But how about when you watch a movie,

right, because Hollywood has a way of twisting our mindset, you see

the bad guy, and you start rooting for the bad guy because you feel

like the bad guy was oppressed, the bad guy was treated wrong. Amen,

And subconsciously or consciously, you're looking at a movie where you know someone

did something so bad, but you're kind of justified because of what was done

to that person or to those people, right, So our our mind is

bent towards that a lot of people, and especially on social media. If

I post something horrible right now, amen, I'll get most the most lights,

the most views, the most clicks of all my posts. And I

did that experiment years ago. God forgive me. I did an experiment,

amen, And I told people on one of my posts that, you know,

I was going back to the world, right. I just wanted to

see who really cared. God showed me a lot of people care, and

man, they might not respond react on these social media on platforms. But

when I wrote that, a lot of people say, don't do that.

There's more to life and people, and I had to apologize. It was

a social experiment, and it just proved to me that when you put something

bad or evil on these social media streets, more people tend to go towards
21:38
that than to when I say God is good, or if I post a
21:41
scripture up or whatever, It'll be like crickets. And I know people say,

well, that's just the algorithm, you know, the you know,
21:48
the platforms are controlling who sees what. I understand that, but still like
21:55
it shows and you can do it to any platform. I don't suggest you
21:59
do that. Amen. That was a bad thing that I did, saying

that I was gonna go back into the world. I just want to see
22:04
the response and the responsors. But actually good. But the thing is,

it was bad news, and people tend to go towards bad news more than
22:11
to good news. Hence, that's why I think a lot of people don't

want to read the scriptures because they know the scriptures contain good and bad news,

right, but the good news outweighs the bad. The good news about
22:22
the Lord Jesus Christ, the Gospel, a lot of people tend to not
22:26
realize that he Jesus can change your life. And a lot of people don't
22:32
like change, so therefore they don't want to read the Gospel. The Bible

says in John chapter three that people light came into the world, but people

hated the light. The light entered into the world, but people hated the
22:42
light. Why because their darkness their deeds will be exposed, and a lot

of people don't want their dark needs to be exposed. That's what the Lord

said in John chapter three, around verse number sixteen or eighteen, all the

way up there. So deep down, I believe most of us are drawn

to stories where good tryings over evil because we have God's Lord written on our

hearts. We could see that in Romans Chapter two, verses fourteen and fifteen.

We know right from wrong. It's already in us, Amen, When

we were babies, learning how to crawl, learning how to talk, learning

how to walk. A lot a large percentage of babies, Amen, including

my babies. When they were babies, they learned how to say no.

We didn't teach them how to say no. They learned how to kind of

like go against authority. It's inherited, like it's in the flesh. We

were born into sin. Amen, So a lot of people. You don't

have to teach people how to do wrong. We already know that. But

we also know what's right. We're born with a conscience. That word conscience

is two words, gone is a lot and word for with science means knowledge.

We're born with knowledge, a knowledge of what between right and wrong,

between good and evil. We're born with that as well. So we know

right from wrong, and we have a conscience. But if we aren't careful,

we can get caught up in a plot that blurs the lines of morality

or outright confuses vice and virtue. The prophet Isaiah one against this. The

prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah trot To five, verse twenty, he says,

woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for

light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

That's an on time scripture right now for what this world is showing us,

and the society is showing us, turning things around, trying to redefine

things that had already established, that God has already written out, that God

has already defined, and the world system is trying to redefine this and redefine

that. But we know this, ladies and gentlemen, if you're born again

and you know about prophetic word, you know about the prophecies in the scripture,

you know what Jesus said that we're going to have trials and tribulations in
24:51
this world. You know that it was coming. But in the meantime,

let's love one another. Let's love people into the kingdom, show genuine love.

Let's not love evil. Let's hate evil and love good. Amen.

Look, good will always be good, Good will never be evil, evil

will never be good. Amen. And the natural but God supernatural, supernaturally

turns bad people to good people. He turns evil into good. Amen.

But in a conversation, I can't do that for you. You can't do

that for me. It takes Holy Spirit of God to do that that transform

me. Amen. So we can't be arguing each other and going out there

and shouting people down and sending people to hell that we don't even belong to.

We don't belong to that hell. We're not part of the evil system

a man. We're part of the system of God. We're part of the

Kingdom of God. So love is a better way, Amen. Love is

a better strategy to reach people with this gospel message. It, ben,

Trust me. I try both ways. I try to shouting down and try

to you know, all that turn and burn and health, fire preaching and

all that. I try that, and the results, at least in my

experience, weren't as good as when I just show love and kindness. Amen.

And that leed more people to the Lord through that way. Because God

is good, His word is also good. Amen. You are good and

do good. Teach me your statues. If we want to know what is

good, all we need to do is know what God calls good and scripture.
