Motown: My personal opinion on Shook is we can't really say right now because it's too early. You got a new offensive coordinator over there that's giving them the plays. So just give them a little time. If you have a full season, I think this week of year you can evaluate them after the end of season. But just give them a chance. I can't say present. or future, just gotta give him a chance right now. JB: Right at the moment. Right, right. So far they look like he's having a good training camp so far. So what's your thoughts on that, Smooth? K.Smooth: man, I won't say the future. Like like T said, I say JB: Okay. K.Smooth: the as of right now, you know, the present. 'Cause you know, he is older too. So but like E said, you give him another four year. 'Cause he looked like he got potential. You think what I'm saying? So yeah, me he's a good quarterback. JB: Well, K.Smooth: I didn't think he was gonna be that good at first. He shot me, you know what I'm saying? So given with the talent that they have now, I mean, two or three years, who knows? Motown: let's keep it in perspective now, you know, when he started playing pretty good, he had a little playing time behind under his belt, but the teams that he was facing at the time, you know, they weren't really playing for anything. They started us out. or they weren't playing for anything. So he was playing against some teams that wasn't really battling for anything Troy: Yeah. Motown: too much. So let's keep it up and step. That's why I say right now, we can't really say anything, give him a chance, give him a full season. That's why I can't say the present or not because he might not make the whole season and then Rattlers come in and we'll forget about him. You know what I'm saying? So just give him a full season on his belt and see what he look like. K.Smooth: Yeah, but when I seen about when I JB: I agree. That's all we want to see. K.Smooth: seen about Rattler, Rattler ain't looking too hot himself right now. You know what I'm saying? I like Rattler too, but again, when he when Riley did play, he wasn't playing with the full, you know, T, JB: Yeah. K.Smooth: you know what I'm saying? So he couldn't really evaluate it that much on not playing with everybody. So but right now the pre season he struggled a little bit the first game, so maybe he'd do better next game, so but I think yeah. You know. JB: So what do y'all think they're missing besides quarterback play? What do y'all think they're missing to put them to put them in like contention? In other words, to come out the NFC south K.Smooth: Mm. JB: or you know just to make that jump. K.Smooth: Mm. Motown: think they're a young team right now. I'm speaking from coaching on down. they can catch us by surprise and have a good season. But from what we've seen, what they have already and what they're putting together, I can't see them jumping too far. I mean, I really can't. I mean, as far as channel-wise too, you gotta think JB: Yeah. Motown: when you match them up in the NLC, how do we match them up against the Panthers and the Falcons? and the Buccaneers, how they match up, in terms of and experience to get victories. JB: My thing with but as far as quarter as far as that to me Falcons still got a question mark on who's gonna start as quarterback. Troy: Yeah, quarterback, yeah. JB: That's my thing with them. That's why I got them. I got them finishing last. I got to me Bucks still a team to beat. And also I think I wanna I I put Carolina second because what they did last year, they went to the playoffs. But that's because he had like twelve twelve, thirteen quarterbacks and none of them really did good of a big major. So I put them at number two. And then Sinks in Atlanta, because Atlanta got talent, man. They have so much talent. And you never know with this coach, he might pull something out of his hat with a quarterback player, I don't know. They just got a lot of talent. So, Sainson, it's 3A, 3B to me with Sainson in the ladder. Troy: Yeah, but then you know Carolina Motown: You lost moon. Troy: they got they got some receivers, you know. Hopefully they play J five. Let's just say the owner we're gonna keep the owner out of but the GM, do you think you see the Cowboys that next step? Or you think Jerry just got his hands too much into the organization? Yeah. Motown: Well, honestly, in the last year, maybe a year and a half now with Jerry Jones, I could take a step back and say that I think that I could see him win the championship. if he's alive and he's still doing what he's doing in next five years, yeah. Cause he's putting too much into the team where, Troy: Mista. Motown: huh? JB: He can draft, no? Motown: You know, I'm a cowboy hater. I hate the cowboys, but I'm keeping it real. Because they always have talent. They just seem like, I don't know if it's the coaching staff or it's the players, but they don't mesh where they're to get over the hump. They always have players to play the game, man. just, it never falls in play. But if Jerry's not doing bad by bringing players in and free agents and signing his players, he's not doing bad. 'Cause w 'cause last year they was ranked dead last and just barely everything. So can they go from that number thirty two to top ten, top fifteen? So we drafted the center and we moved Allegretta to center from garden. That's where he played college at his center. So that's okay. But last year we had a solid depth at offensive line.
