- 0:00Speaker 1: I know Jeff Moscher and the guys are ready for
- 0:03Speaker 1: the draft. They've been getting you ready over it Inside
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Birds, Inside the Birds dot Com, and the Inside
- 0:08Speaker 1: the Birds podcast. And he joins me right now with
- 0:11Speaker 1: a look at everything that's happening the week of the draft.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And Jeff, I know you and I and everybody in
- 0:17Speaker 1: this area, including Diana Rossini, have been talking about AJ
- 0:22Speaker 1: Brown going to the Patriots. Well, today Adam Schefter pretty
- 0:26Speaker 1: much put the nail in the coffin. It seems like
- 0:29Speaker 1: for AJ's return to Philadelphia, it's almost like if Adam
- 0:32Speaker 1: Schefter says it, then it has to be accurate and true.
- 0:36Speaker 1: But he came out today with a pretty big, you know,
- 0:40Speaker 1: thought that he will be a Patriot post June first.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Is that the idea that you've had and continue to have?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, it's funny. I think I thought Nick
- 0:50Speaker 2: Foles actually had a really good rationale about it. You know,
- 0:55Speaker 2: he does a podcast with a former NFL tight end,
- 0:58Speaker 2: Evan Moore, the Really Good Friends. It's called The And
- 1:01Speaker 2: it was a couple of days ago where on the
- 1:03Speaker 2: podcast he basically said, you know, if you had asked
- 1:06Speaker 2: me two weeks ago, I would have said eighty twenty
- 1:08Speaker 2: that AJ Brown's going to be an Eagle, But I've
- 1:10Speaker 2: been talking to a lot of people and thinking of
- 1:13Speaker 2: hearing what I'm hearing, and you know, he noted that.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Throughout this whole time, AJ Brown has not once come
- 1:20Speaker 2: out and said I really want to be an Eagle
- 1:23Speaker 2: right like he could put it all the rest, like
- 1:25Speaker 2: I want the new offense, I'm excited about what I've heard.
- 1:29Speaker 2: That That's what people who have felt that AJ Brown's
- 1:31Speaker 2: not going to get traded or doesn't want to be traded,
- 1:33Speaker 2: or assume that he's gonna warm up to the idea
- 1:36Speaker 2: of a new offense and him being featured in it.
- 1:38Speaker 2: And all AJ had to do was come out and say, yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 2: I really like that this and I can't wait to
- 1:43Speaker 2: get excited. He never had. So Nick Foles went on
- 1:46Speaker 2: to say that, you know Howie rightly wouldn't want to
- 1:49Speaker 2: go through another year of unhappy wide receiver, especially when
- 1:54Speaker 2: you're transitioning to a new offense and everything, and so yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 2: I mean, I think you combine that with Adam Report
- 2:00Speaker 2: and what we've thought all along, and it's looking like A. J.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Brown's not going to be an Eagle still.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Yeah, he was pretty definitive about it this morning, was
- 2:08Speaker 1: basically that hey, he is and he's not expected to
- 2:11Speaker 1: attend the Eagles offseason programs. That is that not as
- 2:15Speaker 1: I mean, he has he been there.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I mean, just look at the timing of Adams report,
- 2:19Speaker 2: Schefter's report, with the today being the day that it starts, right,
- 2:24Speaker 2: So I think that there's a reason why the reporting
- 2:28Speaker 2: today is stronger than ever from him because today was
- 2:31Speaker 2: the day that offseason workouts were going to begin, and
- 2:34Speaker 2: it was obvious today Jay wasn't going to be there.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah, And according to Adam Schefter, basically the teams they
- 2:41Speaker 1: haven't spoken recently, but they will talk leading up to
- 2:45Speaker 1: June first, and something will likely happen and he will
- 2:49Speaker 1: be a Patriot after June first, which is what we've
- 2:52Speaker 1: heard a lot of here. One of the things I
- 2:54Speaker 1: find to be interesting though is, and I think it
- 2:56Speaker 1: was just great. Cosell may have said this on the
- 3:00Speaker 1: uh oh my god, He's a Ross Tucker podcast, was
- 3:05Speaker 1: that he feels that the Wicks, Brown and the Eagles
- 3:08Speaker 1: wide receiver room that it is serviceable without aj Brown,
- 3:13Speaker 1: and that he is really interested to see what they
- 3:15Speaker 1: do on draft night, whether they take a receiver or not.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Now hearing all this information.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yeah, we had Greg on several days ago with us
- 3:23Speaker 2: on the inside the Birds platform to break down Danavian
- 3:26Speaker 2: Wicks and what he brings to the Eagles offense. I
- 3:30Speaker 2: think what Greg was saying, he wasn't trying to make
- 3:32Speaker 2: it sound like the Eagles are as talented now you
- 3:36Speaker 2: know without Aj Brown as they were with him, but
- 3:39Speaker 2: they for having a new offense. And you bring in
- 3:41Speaker 2: a guy in Dantavian Wicks who has size, which the
- 3:44Speaker 2: Eagles really don't have at any other spot among their
- 3:48Speaker 2: receivers except Johnny Wilson. And you know he's coming back
- 3:50Speaker 2: from an injury in a six round pack. I mean,
- 3:52Speaker 2: he's got to make the team. But really, Dantavian Wicks
- 3:55Speaker 2: gives you some size that the ability to play the
- 3:58Speaker 2: X position. Not you know, I want him playing in
- 4:00Speaker 2: as many STAPs as AJ Brown did, but he has
- 4:02Speaker 2: the ability to do it. And then you combine that
- 4:05Speaker 2: with Marquise Brown and DeVante Smith and you know, maybe
- 4:08Speaker 2: they they've got some you know something in Darius Cooper,
- 4:11Speaker 2: who we all liked last year that the room is
- 4:16Speaker 2: and then don't forget the tight ends and what they
- 4:18Speaker 2: might do in the draft of both tight end the
- 4:20Speaker 2: receiver that the room can can give you a little
- 4:23Speaker 2: bit more diversity than you might have had in the past.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Do you like the room if they say we're not
- 4:28Speaker 1: drafting anybody, this is what it is.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I mean, it's hard to like the room now as
- 4:37Speaker 2: opposed to what it was like with DeVante Smith and A. J. Brown.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:43Speaker 2: So I will say though that you know, for a
- 4:46Speaker 2: while I've been telling you I think Eagle's depth at
- 4:48Speaker 2: wide receiver has been bad. I mean, they've been fortunate
- 4:52Speaker 2: that the two guys have stayed mostly healthy, or that
- 4:55Speaker 2: when AJ Brown gets hurt and they have to play
- 4:58Speaker 2: like Johan Dotson, they can als play out of twelve
- 5:00Speaker 2: personnel to limit how many receivers they have to put
- 5:02Speaker 2: on the field. So I mean, I think they're deeper.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I think having Wis and Marquise Brown with DeVante Smith.
- 5:10Speaker 2: And again, I'm really curious about Darius Cooper in year two.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I'm not saying I think he's going to be some
- 5:16Speaker 2: kind of superstar, but I think he can be a
- 5:18Speaker 2: contributable player. He has to prove that, of course, and
- 5:22Speaker 2: then with what they might do at tight end going forward,
- 5:25Speaker 2: you know, at least bringing Dallas Goddard back if they
- 5:27Speaker 2: want to be in twelve personnel. You know, I think
- 5:30Speaker 2: they can get by if this new offense works and
- 5:32Speaker 2: if the quarterback takes to it. But I can also
- 5:35Speaker 2: envision scenarios where we're in week nine or ten saying, man,
- 5:39Speaker 2: this receipt, you know, Godard might be heard a few games.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Something happens when we're saying this just isn't the same
- 5:46Speaker 2: receiving corps that they've had.
- 5:48Speaker 1: By the way, we did play the audio from Nick
- 5:51Speaker 1: Foles last week on the show, and I do agree
- 5:54Speaker 1: with you. I thought what he said was very measured
- 5:57Speaker 1: and very open and honest. Was I didn't think he
- 6:00Speaker 1: wanted to be traded, but people told me he does
- 6:03Speaker 1: want to be traded. And he went from fifty to
- 6:06Speaker 1: fifty to kind of eighty twenty. And you know, it
- 6:09Speaker 1: sounds as if Nick believes this would be an addition
- 6:12Speaker 1: by subtraction type of situation that he just doesn't want
- 6:16Speaker 1: to be there. And we kept asking the question, are
- 6:19Speaker 1: the Eagles better by trading AJ Brown when you have
- 6:24Speaker 1: Super Bowl aspirations? And his basically explanation is, yeah, if
- 6:29Speaker 1: he's not there, it might just make for a better environment.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Do you agree with that?
- 6:33Speaker 2: I mean, of course, yeah. I mean I mean I
- 6:35Speaker 2: think I'm not saying Nick, that's captain obvious, but yes,
- 6:38Speaker 2: I think, well.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I guess the thought is was he so unhappy that
- 6:42Speaker 1: he couldn't play here with the people here, or was
- 6:45Speaker 1: he unhappy in the offense?
- 6:48Speaker 2: I think yes and yes are probably the answers to
- 6:52Speaker 2: that question. I think he's expressed that himself more so
- 6:56Speaker 2: than yeah. And listen, he's for three years he's been
- 7:00Speaker 2: talking about being dissatisfied with the passing offense. So it
- 7:03Speaker 2: can't be it's not all Kevin Patulo, because he was.
- 7:06Speaker 2: He was mad about it when they won a Super Bowl.
- 7:08Speaker 2: He was mad about it when the year before that.
- 7:11Speaker 2: You know, So, I mean, it's not any one individual person,
- 7:15Speaker 2: but you know, I think it's pretty obvious that his
- 7:18Speaker 2: relationship with Jalen Hurts isn't the same that it used
- 7:20Speaker 2: to be as well. And uh, and the careful thing
- 7:25Speaker 2: that Nick pointed out also was that it's not like
- 7:28Speaker 2: aj Brown wants to be traded anywhere. He doesn't want
- 7:31Speaker 2: to be traded to the Browns. He doesn't want to
- 7:33Speaker 2: be traded to, you know, like a really bad team
- 7:36Speaker 2: that is nowhere to go. So that's another reason why
- 7:39Speaker 2: there's a selective amount of words that Aj Brown has
- 7:42Speaker 2: said this offseason. He's trying to help the Eagles the
- 7:45Speaker 2: way they're trying to help.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Him well, and listen, I asked the question, I'm gonna
- 7:48Speaker 1: get your take on this. Seattle traded DJ you know,
- 7:52Speaker 1: DK metcalf away and won the Super Bowl, And I.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Said, look, you look at their offense.
- 7:57Speaker 1: They had Jackson Smith and Jigba, which you know, is
- 8:01Speaker 1: he better than Devonte Smith? Probably, but DeVante Smith could
- 8:07Speaker 1: be your number one. Their other guy, you know, Cooper
- 8:10Speaker 1: Cup and Rashid shi Heat. I mean it's not like
- 8:11Speaker 1: they had this great room, but they were confident in, hey,
- 8:16Speaker 1: we have a number one and we have some guys
- 8:18Speaker 1: who fill roles. Can Philadelphia look at their wide receiver
- 8:22Speaker 1: room as we have a number one and we have
- 8:24Speaker 1: some guys that can fill holes.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you know that's sort of my point
- 8:28Speaker 2: is there's more than one way to skin a cat.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I mean, Seattle won the Super Bowl because they made
- 8:32Speaker 2: an upgrade at quarterback, even though they lost their very
- 8:35Speaker 2: good right receiver. They were able to fill that good
- 8:38Speaker 2: wide receiver as whole, but they mainly improved their defense
- 8:41Speaker 2: from one year to another, you know, three times full
- 8:44Speaker 2: and some of that was just having an extra year
- 8:47Speaker 2: in the Mike McDonald defense. And then you draft Nick
- 8:49Speaker 2: onm and Warri, So you can make the the comp
- 8:52Speaker 2: that the Eagles have a very good defense. They could
- 8:55Speaker 2: potentially add more to it here. I mean they already
- 8:57Speaker 2: have with Riequolan, right, they could in the draft they
- 9:01Speaker 2: can get themselves an edge rusher and not be so
- 9:03Speaker 2: reliant on the offense to have to win. But they
- 9:07Speaker 2: still have a lot of a lot of money in
- 9:09Speaker 2: that offense and a lot of talent in that offense.
- 9:12Speaker 2: So there's going to be an expectation going into this
- 9:16Speaker 2: year that that offense should function even better than Seattle's
- 9:20Speaker 2: did because of all of the talent. You know, Seattle
- 9:23Speaker 2: to Seattle had a nice offensive line, not as good
- 9:25Speaker 2: as what the Eagles offensive line should be, right, and
- 9:29Speaker 2: I guess Barner is a good tight end, but not
- 9:31Speaker 2: at the level of Alice Goddard. So there really should
- 9:34Speaker 2: be an expectation that the Eagles. Oh and and running back.
- 9:37Speaker 2: The the crazy thing is Seattle struggled to run the
- 9:40Speaker 2: ball all year long, even though Kenneth Walker had a
- 9:42Speaker 2: great Super Bowl as MVP. The Eagles should not struggle
- 9:45Speaker 2: to run the ball again as long as the guys
- 9:47Speaker 2: up front are healthy. So there will be expectations that
- 9:49Speaker 2: this offense is not just sort of a one or
- 9:51Speaker 2: two trick pony like Seattle's was.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Jeff Boscher Football four. And of course the draft is
- 9:57Speaker 1: this week. We'll get into that another you know report
- 10:00Speaker 1: out there. According to Adam Schefter, the Eagles and Vikings
- 10:03Speaker 1: have engaged in trade talks about defensive end Jonathan Grenard
- 10:07Speaker 1: multiple times this offseason. They're looking for a premium Day
- 10:11Speaker 1: two pick. To me, this now becomes the more interesting storyline.
- 10:15Speaker 1: The AJ Brown stuff, I think we're at peace with,
- 10:18Speaker 1: but they need to get an edge rusher, and unlike
- 10:22Speaker 1: a J. Brown, you could do that on Thursday night.
- 10:25Speaker 2: You could I've written in Philly voice to actually be
- 10:28Speaker 2: very much on the lookout for a player trade similar
- 10:34Speaker 2: to something that happened what now three years ago when
- 10:37Speaker 2: the Lions drafted Jamiir Gibbs and then all of a sudden,
- 10:40Speaker 2: DeAndre Swift became available and the Eagles were smart pounced
- 10:44Speaker 2: on that made a trade that day to get DeAndre Swift.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I think that based on what happens in the first round,
- 10:51Speaker 2: it would not surprise me if on Friday or Saturday
- 10:55Speaker 2: you saw a trade from the Eagles that did involve
- 10:57Speaker 2: getting a player, because Mike, they have more more immediate
- 11:00Speaker 2: needs now, which we've talked about than they normally do.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I mean, they need an edge that is somewhat comparable
- 11:08Speaker 2: to Jail and philp like a real starting edge. Right
- 11:10Speaker 2: They need a safety. They need a starting safety right now.
- 11:13Speaker 2: They don't have one, and drafting one is no guarantee
- 11:16Speaker 2: that that guy's gonna start, because you know, they're probably
- 11:19Speaker 2: not gonna take one in the first round. Even if
- 11:20Speaker 2: they do, I don't know that they'll be ready to
- 11:22Speaker 2: play right away at a level that they're expecting. They
- 11:25Speaker 2: need depth, they need a backup guard who can really
- 11:28Speaker 2: come in and play because those guys have been instrumental
- 11:31Speaker 2: to the Eagles' success over the last few years. So
- 11:34Speaker 2: it would not surprise me at all if there was
- 11:36Speaker 2: some trades going down involving the Eagles throughout the draft.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and you under you know at twenty three where
- 11:43Speaker 1: they are in this particular, jet, I wanted to get
- 11:46Speaker 1: your thoughts on what you thought of the Bengals and
- 11:47Speaker 1: Giants trade, because I think that's a sign that the
- 11:51Speaker 1: Bengals are saying, we think Dexter Lawrence is better than anything.
- 11:56Speaker 1: We can get a pick number ten, which tells me
- 11:59Speaker 1: that the depth at twenty three is going to be
- 12:04Speaker 1: lacking a little.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Bit, depending well, I mean depth on defense perhaps might
- 12:09Speaker 2: be lacking a little bit. So I mean, there's probably
- 12:12Speaker 2: gonna be four or five pretty good offensive line prospects
- 12:16Speaker 2: when you get to twenty three. There's probably gonna be
- 12:19Speaker 2: some good, some decent edge prospects. But you know, trades
- 12:25Speaker 2: are funny, like sometimes you can love and hated trade
- 12:27Speaker 2: at the same time. And you know, obviously I like
- 12:29Speaker 2: it for the for the Giants because they have other
- 12:32Speaker 2: good pass rushers. They have Burns, they have Tibodeau, they
- 12:35Speaker 2: have a dual Carter, and they drafted the kid out
- 12:37Speaker 2: of Toledo last year, Darius Alexander, a nice defensive tackle
- 12:41Speaker 2: who can play. He can he can help fill the
- 12:45Speaker 2: role for Dexter Lawrence. And you get this top ten pick,
- 12:48Speaker 2: you know, ten ten to overle That's the thing about
- 12:52Speaker 2: Cincinnati I'd like it because I think they absolutely needed it.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I think it makes them a lot better. I think
- 12:58Speaker 2: he's still a really good player, gets double. It's gonna
- 13:00Speaker 2: help them. They added to boy Mafe. But I also
- 13:03Speaker 2: think you never want to be in the position where
- 13:06Speaker 2: you're giving up the tenth overall pick for a guy
- 13:08Speaker 2: entering is what ninth year? Yeah, in the NFL. I
- 13:12Speaker 2: get it. I've listened. I get it. I get it,
- 13:14Speaker 2: I get it. But I also think that that's the
- 13:16Speaker 2: kind of move you make when you're bad at what
- 13:19Speaker 2: you do. You know what I'm saying.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I hear what you're saying.
- 13:22Speaker 1: He is twenty eight years old, so he's still got
- 13:24Speaker 1: probably like two three prime years left.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Right right, And with the number ten overall pick, you're
- 13:31Speaker 2: hoping to get a guy with seven to eight prime years,
- 13:35Speaker 2: you know, maybe one or two growth.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but I understand what you were saying. But this
- 13:39Speaker 1: is the this is the sports mentality that we have,
- 13:42Speaker 1: is that we always like what's behind door number two,
- 13:44Speaker 1: even though it's behind door number two probably is never
- 13:47Speaker 1: gonna be as good as what's presented to me.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Well true, and given the Bengals draft history, I mean,
- 13:52Speaker 2: this is a team that took John Ross I think
- 13:54Speaker 2: ninth overall. Then I think that they've kind of, like,
- 13:58Speaker 2: you know, Bengals proof themselves by getting a legit good
- 14:00Speaker 2: player at ten instead of having to worry about whoever
- 14:04Speaker 2: would have been a ten, kind of like you know,
- 14:05Speaker 2: fulfilling their potential.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Well, if you remember the last time they had a
- 14:09Speaker 1: half decent defensive tackle which his names escaping me, they
- 14:12Speaker 1: went to the Super Bowl, I mean their defense has been.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Horrible the last couple of years.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I mean they've they've been able to compete on offense
- 14:20Speaker 1: with like Joe Flacco playing quarterback, but their defense has
- 14:23Speaker 1: been so bad that they just haven't Who was the
- 14:26Speaker 1: defensive tackle that they had the year that they went
- 14:30Speaker 1: to the Super Bowl a couple of years ago, and
- 14:31Speaker 1: then he ended up getting hurt or something.
- 14:33Speaker 2: But what year was they go to the Super Bowl?
- 14:35Speaker 2: Is that two twenty two?
- 14:36Speaker 1: It had to be like four years ago. It was
- 14:38Speaker 1: just sayingly four or five years ago they played round they.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Had bj Hill. I'm trying to think if that was
- 14:44Speaker 2: the guy that you're referring to. Hill was a pretty
- 14:45Speaker 2: good player.
- 14:46Speaker 1: They had a tackle, a defensive tackle that was like
- 14:49Speaker 1: their guy, and he was good, he just and but
- 14:52Speaker 1: their defense has just been horrible.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I mean, Ja Reader was pretty good for them for
- 14:56Speaker 2: a couple of years. But yeah, I know what you're saying.
- 14:59Speaker 2: H Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 1: If Josh was in the room, he probably have the answer.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I'm not in like one hundred percent football mode, so
- 15:05Speaker 1: I'm forgetting guys names and I'm having like those senior
- 15:08Speaker 1: moments as I'm almost fifty now, Jeff, I.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Hope you're not thinking of like Justin Smith from like
- 15:13Speaker 2: you know, Okay, but either way, either way, Mike, you
- 15:18Speaker 2: know they have Mafe now, they had a high first
- 15:22Speaker 2: round pick a couple of years ago. Miles Murphy comes
- 15:24Speaker 2: into his own little bit. The add texter Lawrence. They
- 15:27Speaker 2: drafted the pass rusher Schmar Stewart, so they probably feel
- 15:31Speaker 2: like they're coming along there and now can finally compete
- 15:34Speaker 2: in that division defensively.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I'd like you, though, I think, well, I don't know
- 15:38Speaker 1: if you agree with me or not. I like the
- 15:40Speaker 1: trade for both teams. I think it worked out for
- 15:42Speaker 1: the Bengals they needed a guy, and I think what
- 15:45Speaker 1: the Giants are to get two picks in the top
- 15:47Speaker 1: ten is is definitely you know where you need to be.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I think it's I think it's fair. Again.
- 15:53Speaker 2: You know, you never want to be doing what the
- 15:55Speaker 2: Bengals are doing, but I mean you have to sometimes.
- 15:57Speaker 1: And that by the way, Geno Atkins is the player.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And he was not on the super Bowl I don't
- 16:02Speaker 1: think he was on that super Bowl team. But he
- 16:04Speaker 1: was a pretty good player for them. They had a guy,
- 16:07Speaker 1: but he wasn't on the super Bowl team. He left
- 16:09Speaker 1: right before.
- 16:10Speaker 2: That, right he was, he was Tino Sacks was a
- 16:12Speaker 2: pretty good player.
- 16:13Speaker 1: That's fair, all right. Well they got Dexter Lawrence. Now
- 16:16Speaker 1: he's out of the NFC East. We'll see what the
- 16:19Speaker 1: Eagles end up trying to do. Would you give up
- 16:21Speaker 1: a premium Day two pick they have fifty four, sixty eight,
- 16:26Speaker 1: and ninety eight for Jonathan Grenard?
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I probably would. I mean he's a good so
- 16:33Speaker 2: I mean I guess I just would. I know you're
- 16:36Speaker 2: probably got to redo his contract gi him a lot
- 16:37Speaker 2: more money, and maybe that impacts why you're what the
- 16:41Speaker 2: draft comp is. Maybe he gets something else, like you
- 16:44Speaker 2: give up a day too, a second round pick, but
- 16:47Speaker 2: you get like a sixth And I don't know how
- 16:49Speaker 2: the points work out, but I think He's worth it absolutely.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I see, I don't mind Howie working a new car.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I know what Dave Dombroski to give people new contracts.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I like Dave to I mean Howie giving new contracts.
- 17:04Speaker 1: So he'll figure out a way to make sure that
- 17:06Speaker 1: it's like get out proof.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair. Grenard's twenty eight years old, so you
- 17:11Speaker 2: gotta think he's got at least three good years left
- 17:15Speaker 2: in him this year, because well he's gonna be twenty
- 17:17Speaker 2: nine sites, so twenty nine thirty at least two seasons
- 17:20Speaker 2: where he's good. But again, you've got jaylex Hunt, You've
- 17:23Speaker 2: got Olan Smith, you'll probably draft at that position. So
- 17:26Speaker 2: I think, oh, you got Arnold Ebihetti. I think I
- 17:29Speaker 2: feel a lot more comfortable with them being competitive on
- 17:32Speaker 2: the edges with Grenard, even if it gave met giving
- 17:34Speaker 2: up a two.
- 17:35Speaker 1: All right, Jeff Boscher, I know we'll be back on Wednesday.
- 17:38Speaker 1: We'll get your pick for the pick on Thursday night
- 17:41Speaker 1: on Wednesday show. If everybody can follow along with that.
- 17:43Speaker 1: What are some of the things that you guys have
- 17:45Speaker 1: going on inside the Birds for the draft?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, well, me Andrew and Adam every year do our
- 17:50Speaker 2: own first round NFL mock cast that'll be out tomorrow
- 17:53Speaker 2: and we pick the entire first round. Adam and I
- 17:57Speaker 2: today had a really good the Inside the Birds that
- 17:59Speaker 2: came out today was a intel heavy pod about basically
- 18:04Speaker 2: going through all the players that we think will be
- 18:06Speaker 2: in that twenty three range, some that might you might
- 18:08Speaker 2: have to trade up for, and their strengths and weaknesses,
- 18:11Speaker 2: where the strengths are in the draft, and things like that.
- 18:14Speaker 2: It's always an intel heavy pod after speaking with a
- 18:16Speaker 2: lot of personnel executives, coaches and all that around the league.
- 18:20Speaker 2: So we're excited about that. Non Philly Voice today, I
- 18:23Speaker 2: had a story where I spoke to a few NFL
- 18:27Speaker 2: veteran NFL college scouts and had them break down the
- 18:31Speaker 2: draft for me as well. It's up on Philly Voice
- 18:32Speaker 2: dot com right now.
