Transcript
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville jackwars fans, welcome in to do all daily presented by Jinjag.com.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Deluga.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think so much for being here Tuesday, July, eighth.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: So today we're looking at the jackwars and their offensive weapons.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: They're running back, tight ends, wide receivers, ESPN's Bill Barnwell.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Today, or yesterday, today, put together a ranking of every single team in the NFL and their offensive weapons specifically.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this ranking, this list, is attempting to try to eliminate
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: the influences of the quarterback, the offensive line, and the play colors on the offense, and instead really just try to figure out and rank properly the running backs, tight ends and wide receivers, right?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Cool, very cool concept, but also pretty much impossible, right?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: It is impossible to try to sift through and
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Figure out exactly what each player would be if removed from the current situation that they're in, right?
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not possible to do it, but Bill Barnwell did his best to do just that.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a valiant effort here by Bill who does a great job covering the NFL.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really smart analyst and I do really respect his opinion.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: But this is tough one.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: And so he's trying to figure out, for twenty twenty five, like not looking back at twenty twenty four, but for twenty twenty five, he's ranking thirty two to one.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: the rush rushing and receiving groups in the NFL combined as one wide receiver titan and running back groups for twenty twenty five.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to get into it.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: And talk about where he has the jackwars obviously how that kind of stacks up with some of the other units around the league.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: And just get into it here.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: So really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: We do have a brand new t-shirt pre-order that just dropped today over at jingyag.com slash shop.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: Cool cats club t-shirt will throw a image up here in a link in the description below.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all supporting the channel and supporting what we're doing here.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: If you want a new t-shirt, go check it out.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: So at thirty two you have the Titans, which
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: I probably don't agree with that.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Thirty one.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: You have the Panthers.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: Thirty the Patriots.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Twenty nine the Browns.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: These are all like the teams that are commonly put at the bottom of these types of offensive lists.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Twenty eight Buffalo Bills.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's interesting right there.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: One of the best teams in the NFL New York.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jets at twenty seven.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: Giants at twenty six.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: They have some talent.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Why do silver group is certainly carried by milk neighbors?
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: New Orleans Saints, twenty four.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: Denver Broncos, twenty three.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's a little bit surprising as well.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: Twenty two Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers at twenty one.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: I could see them being a little lower.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: Raiders at twenty.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: Seahawks at nineteen.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're an interesting one with it with the addition of Cooper Cup, what's he going to be?
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then the Jaguars at eighteen.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: Your Jacksonville Jaguar is coming in at eighteen.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Bill Barnwell and the first paragraph basically talks about Brian Thomas Jr.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: How good he was, legitimately a number one wider seaver.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: All that is true.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Talks about Travis Hunter says it's impossible to say how the Jaguar is will actually deploy Hunter.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's impossible to have a good grasp of what the Jaguar is probably going to do with Travis Hunter.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think offensively he's going to be their second leading target.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: I feel very confident in saying that.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Talks about adding the army brown, having Britain strange, and then kind of the
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: questions about the backfield.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Says Travis ET and Junior hasn't lived up to expectations, tank bigsby has fumbling issues, basal tutan, another rookie fourth rounder for Liam Cohen, like last year with Bucky Irving, to try to get the most out of puts them at eighteen.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: So that's basically saying they're pretty mediocre, right?
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: Keep having focus issues lately with the camera, apologize about that.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna have to figure that out.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: But, eighteen for the Jacksonville Jaguars to me feels low.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that, again, it's really impossible to separate all these players at these positions from their situation.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think if you were trying to separate the Jaguars
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Top two runners, Travis ETN and tank Bigsby from their blocking situation, from their offensive situation in general, over the last couple years, and put their situation at average, which is what Bill Barnwell said he's trying to do here.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think you would probably put ETN and Bigsby a little higher and have more confidence in them, because they're good players.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, yeah, Bigsby does have the fumbling issue, but
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: ETA and when he has been in even close to average situations has been a extremely talented and productive and dangerous runner in this league.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: One team I look at that to me
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Screams that we're not really looking ahead at twenty twenty five as much as we think we are here.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: The Chicago Bears being at twenty five overall.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't make sense to me in any way shape or form.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: You have Romo Dunes a DJ Moore, Colston Loveland.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: Luther Bird and if he gets healthy and obviously you have your veteran tight end as well.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Cole Comet.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: To me, that's a strong group.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: Then you add Rochon Johnson, Kalmanungai.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Andy Andre Swift, I think that's a much more talented group than twenty-five overall.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Bill Barnwell is kind of feeling the sting of having them ranked a little bit too highly last year, right?
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: So that's one that doesn't really make a lot of sense to me.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jaguars at eighteen doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, a lot is riding on Travis Hunter.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm okay with putting a lot on Travis Hunter.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: I really am, and it's funny because you look at Bill Barnwell's, twenty-twenty-four ranking of the Jacksonville Jaguars, sixteen, twenty-twenty-three ranking of the Jacksonville Jaguars, nine.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: They have a more talented group of players at running back tight end and receiver than they did in either of those years by a wide margin.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this is a bit reactionary or just scared to put anything on Travis Hunter.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: And look, Travis Hunter's the last player I would be scared to put expectations on.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I felt that way long before he was picked by the Jacksonville Jaguars and a massive trade-up that shook up the entire NFL draft.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter was my number one player for months.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: since the beginning of the college football season in twenty twenty four.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I've always liked him more at wide receiver.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be a great corner, but I want him helping my quarterback.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: I want to utilize those hands.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: I want to utilize his ability to separate with him without the ball.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: The natural instincts, the playmaking ability, the body control.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: So to me, you have the potential here for Brian Thomas Jr.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: and Travis Hunter to be as Bill Barnwell asks, could Thomas and Travis Hunter become the league's best one to punch a rookie contract receivers?
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think a very little question that they will be.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: Again, rookie contract receivers.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: You've got some other nice one, two punches in the league that is going to probably take a little while to catch up with, but there's a non-zero chance.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think there's a good chance that that's at least a top five duo in the league very quickly.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely top ten.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: You've got some other duo, I was right.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: T-higgins, Jamar Chase, AJ Brown, Devante Smith.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: But there's some teams ahead of the Jaguars that I don't think make a lot of sense.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: And again, I think with the running back room, there's enough good options that
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: When you just look at the talent level of that running back room, I think it's a more talented running back room than a lot around the league.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Top to bottom.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Again, outside of situation.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think having the cardinals right ahead of the Jaguars is a little silly, honestly.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think anybody right now would take Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: over Brian Thomas Jr., which would have been a crazy thing to say just a year ago, but that's where we're at.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think anybody would take the Cardinals group over the Jaguar's group.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think you look at honestly the commanders.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you love Terry McCleuron.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Who outside of Terry McCleuron on the commanders is really
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: putting them ahead of the Jaguar.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that they're ahead of the Jaguars because Jaden Daniels is their quarterback and Cliff Kingsbury is their offensive coordinator.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: And Terry McClellan is a star.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: The Kansas City Chiefs, I think the Andy Reed, he would never say it, but I think he would take what he has right now and trade it in for Brian Thomas Jr.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter and company in a heartbeat.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: The Cowboys.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: I would not even consider having CD layman George Piggins ahead.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: And the giver's have a better running back room.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Britain's strange is every bit as talented as Jake Ferguson.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: The dolphins, yeah, you can see the argument.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Falcons, I can see the argument.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Drake, London, B. John Robinson, Kyle Pitt, Starno, Mooney.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Pitts has had a lot of injury issues.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: The Ravens, yes, you can see the argument.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think the Jaguar should probably be hovering around ten right now.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that might even look low by seasons end because again, you're going to look back on this ranking and how these teams performed and it's going to, you know, the coaching
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: the offensive line and the quarterback are going to play a big part in it.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: That absolutely are.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: So it's the defense.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: But to me, eighteen is low.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: Very low.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars running back room again is very talented.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that their top four receivers, especially top two in BTJ and Travis Hunter and then Deami Brown and Britain Strange,
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: Could be as good as anybody.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I'm looking at it.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's low.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's like entirely disrespectful because there's still middle of the road versus bottom of the league, right?
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like if I was a bear's fan, I would be like, what the heck are we talking about here?
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's gonna end up being low.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: I just think honestly, Brian Thomas Jr.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: and Travis Hunter are too good to have this low, as a duo.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: And if you just eliminated everything else, that alone would get you higher on this list.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: But Britain Strange is a good football player.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: Damn me, Brown.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think is going to fit in very nicely in his role here.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think Parker Washington can have a positive impact.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: And again, I think
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: Travis CTN is very talented.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: He was the first round pick for a reason if the Jaguars didn't take him, the Steelers probably would have.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: Or it wasn't the Steelers who was it.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: They were the bills, I believe.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to take Travis C. T. N. Um, they had the Steelers technology here, so head of Travis C. T. N. Uh, but tanks bigs me day to pick talented football player.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: Basial toton, talented football player.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: Lee Quint Allen really good past pro and past catching skill set.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm higher on the Jack Wars than this.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's like entirely disrespectful.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's some teams that Barnwell paid a little bit too much respect to based on how the teams performed versus the actual skill of the current group.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I think the commanders, the chiefs, the cowboys, these are teams that probably should not be as high as they are on this list.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: They are
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: wildly overperforming offensively and as a whole, thanks to a lot of other factors including quarterback play and coaching and offensive line play.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know what y'all think in the comment section below.
