- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's time for bachelor headlines. Now, there's are some good
- 0:09Speaker 2: headlines this week. A lot is making the news. I'm
- 0:13Speaker 2: gonna save the juiciest one, I would say for last. Yeah,
- 0:18Speaker 2: I don't know if you know which one that is.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I'm going to predict which from that is. Yeah, there's
- 0:23Speaker 3: two of them. There's two of them. One is about
- 0:27Speaker 3: money and the other one is about STDs.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Oh good, good, guesses you are right on one of those. Okay,
- 0:34Speaker 2: so let's see which one it is. I say it's
- 0:36Speaker 2: Juicy's headline. But baccination is making news. Here's the first one.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Former bachelor Ben Flannik secretly married his best friend in
- 0:45Speaker 2: intimate wedding ceremony.
- 0:46Speaker 3: This was a great surprise that we saw during Thanksgiving
- 0:50Speaker 3: week on Instagram. They secretly got married in October. We
- 0:53Speaker 3: don't even know who the girl is. I am assuming
- 0:56Speaker 3: he's met her or got serious with her after we
- 0:59Speaker 3: lit talked to him, and we actually haven't talked to
- 1:01Speaker 3: him quite some time. It feels like yesterday, but now
- 1:03Speaker 3: that I'm thinking about it, it had been like three
- 1:06Speaker 3: years ago anyway, So he revealed Blend Ben Flannek revealed
- 1:10Speaker 3: that last month, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family,
- 1:14Speaker 3: I married my best friend and it was the most
- 1:16Speaker 3: incredible day of my life. Tears and laughs were hot,
- 1:20Speaker 3: and I've never felt so present with another person in
- 1:23Speaker 3: my life. I'm so grateful to do life with you
- 1:25Speaker 3: and to thank and thank you for your unwavering love
- 1:28Speaker 3: and support. Do we even know the girl's name yet? No, guys,
- 1:34Speaker 3: he didn't even tag her on Instagram. Maybe she doesn't
- 1:36Speaker 3: have an Instagram. All that's tagged is the wedding photographer.
- 1:39Speaker 3: The girl is beautiful, and now we need to have
- 1:42Speaker 3: ben on to tell more.
- 1:43Speaker 2: It must be love if you ain't tagging your spouse
- 1:47Speaker 2: on Instagram, right, I mean, I don't know what else
- 1:51Speaker 2: congratulations have been.
- 1:53Speaker 3: That is some right reasons right there.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he's just in it for the We just hopefully
- 1:58Speaker 2: whatever he's in it for. Blake Moins reveals where he
- 2:01Speaker 2: and X fiance Katie Thurston currently stand. The quote is
- 2:06Speaker 2: it just feels supportive.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Yeah, so, the article says. Since their episode aired, Katie
- 2:15Speaker 3: and Blake have shared photos together on social media which
- 2:17Speaker 3: we have seen, and the fans are buzzn't about their
- 2:19Speaker 3: relationship status. Blake stopped by Bachelor Happy Hour to spill
- 2:24Speaker 3: some tea to Joe and Serena. He said, you saw
- 2:29Speaker 3: in the episode. It was very cordial and mutual and mutual,
- 2:33Speaker 3: mature conversation that allowed us to essentially connect again in
- 2:36Speaker 3: the outside world, but in a friendly manner to the
- 2:40Speaker 3: point where we are now. It just feels supportive. I
- 2:44Speaker 3: knew she was going on another show, and we were
- 2:47Speaker 3: able to connect in the outside world in a way
- 2:49Speaker 3: where you can have a healthy relationship with an x
- 2:52Speaker 3: and that's where it is. He continued, saying, when that
- 2:56Speaker 3: event was happening in San Diego, I guess the one
- 2:59Speaker 3: that they were seeing at. I was going to invite
- 3:01Speaker 3: her and some other Vachel Nation folks were coming. It
- 3:05Speaker 3: was a lot of fun that night, and I'm glad
- 3:07Speaker 3: you came, and it was a good support. Prior to that,
- 3:10Speaker 3: there was a lot of spite there with me traveling
- 3:13Speaker 3: a lot and not being able to spend as much
- 3:15Speaker 3: time together as we would have liked. So her coming
- 3:17Speaker 3: around and really supporting that work now was nice and
- 3:22Speaker 3: I appreciate it a lot. So obviously it was something
- 3:25Speaker 3: with nature and Animal Conservation that she attended.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, it is pretty cool. Actually, just a
- 3:32Speaker 2: little side note there to see that if Paradise really
- 3:35Speaker 2: was the first time they'd seen each other, which I
- 3:37Speaker 2: believe it was, Yeah, kind of that it kind of
- 3:41Speaker 2: broke the ice or ripped the band aid off, whatever
- 3:43Speaker 2: you want to say, so that they can continue just
- 3:46Speaker 2: being supportive of each other. Isn't it so much better
- 3:49Speaker 2: when you know your exes or people in past, your
- 3:54Speaker 2: past life, like you can at least be supportive of them.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's such a big step over being like nervous to see.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Like basically what happened with Caitlin and Jason at the wedding,
- 4:05Speaker 3: But you know, there's a lot less time apart there.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Sure, now that's really nice. Well, some romance going
- 4:12Speaker 2: on in the United States of America. Tacia Adams and
- 4:15Speaker 2: Luke goldbrandtson post together at Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade amid
- 4:20Speaker 2: ongoing romance. We could confirm yes they are romantic.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Well, we did see them as dates to Chris Harrison's wedding. Luke,
- 4:30Speaker 3: if you guys don't know, is known for being on
- 4:32Speaker 3: the show Summer House and this Thanksgiving the two of
- 4:35Speaker 3: them went to the Thanksgiving Day parade in New York
- 4:37Speaker 3: City together and she they posed together but did not
- 4:43Speaker 3: post together. The picture that's out there were the two
- 4:47Speaker 3: of them leaning close in bundled up to stay warm,
- 4:50Speaker 3: and the chili and the chili big Apple weather and
- 4:54Speaker 3: then you can see Andy Cohen as also with them,
- 4:58Speaker 3: and yeah, so it just seems like too little real.
- 5:02Speaker 3: It's like a whole reality posse right there between Andy
- 5:05Speaker 3: Cohen and the two of them.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Andy Cohen's everywhere. I don't know how he does.
- 5:08Speaker 3: That, literally, Like it seems like he has multiple like
- 5:11Speaker 3: versions of himself.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yeah, he's everywhere at all times. Charity Lawson makes Varieties
- 5:16Speaker 2: list of most powerful women in Reality TV.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Wow, that's really awesome. This is what Variety wrote about
- 5:24Speaker 3: Charity its is. After appearing on The Bachelor, Lawson became
- 5:27Speaker 3: the twentyth Bachelorette, showing her emotional emotional intelligence at every turn.
- 5:34Speaker 3: After accepting a proposal in the end, she jumped right
- 5:36Speaker 3: into her next project, Dancing with the Stars. There's not
- 5:39Speaker 3: a lot of contacts here, but you know, we always
- 5:43Speaker 3: support one of our faves being ranked as one of
- 5:47Speaker 3: Variety's most powerful That's really cool. I would say that
- 5:50Speaker 3: pretty much, you know, most bad. I would say, like
- 5:54Speaker 3: every bachelorette that year becomes one of the most powerful
- 5:58Speaker 3: women in reality TV, right.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Well unless they're forgettable, and Charity definitely was not forgettable.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And she went on with the Dancing with the Stars,
- 6:06Speaker 2: which obviously keeps her relevancy up.
- 6:08Speaker 3: And yeah, that's true.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't know this list even existed, so I
- 6:13Speaker 2: could not tell you who in the past has or
- 6:15Speaker 2: has not made the list, but I do know this
- 6:18Speaker 2: was one that made our headlines list, and so it's
- 6:21Speaker 2: obviously a big deal. Maybe a new list. Maybe she
- 6:24Speaker 2: is trailblazing on a new list of reality television's most
- 6:27Speaker 2: powerful women. But congratulations to her, well done.
- 6:30Speaker 3: And variety, that's a big deal.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Variety is huge. Okay, Katie Bigger, Gabby Ariel, and more.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Bachelor twenty seven casts reunite into Loom. Now this is awesome.
- 6:47Speaker 2: We're obviously, you know, coming up on a year past
- 6:51Speaker 2: this season even filming, and so a lot of these girls,
- 6:54Speaker 2: a lot of these friendships kind of fade away over time.
- 6:57Speaker 2: There's obviously staying strong and we see many of them
- 7:00Speaker 2: into womb.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah, so there we see Zach's top three all together.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I wonder what Zach thinks they're talking about when they're
- 7:09Speaker 3: off on a girl's trip like.
- 7:10Speaker 2: This with Katie there. I doubt he's very concerned.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I know, I know they're very strong, but it's still
- 7:16Speaker 3: gonna be a little weird. And it wasn't just the
- 7:19Speaker 3: three of them. Jess was also there. Mercedes and Kylie
- 7:23Speaker 3: were there, so it's really fun. Yeah, they were all there,
- 7:26Speaker 3: oh Davia. Yeah, so they were all there with Katie
- 7:29Speaker 3: to celebrate her twenty ninth birthday. That is a big
- 7:32Speaker 3: birthday celebration for a twenty nine. You know, I would
- 7:35Speaker 3: imagine this would be thirty. And it seems like Charity
- 7:39Speaker 3: had a little bit of fomo. She wrote underneath their instagrams,
- 7:42Speaker 3: miss you girls this weekend. Ugh that that does suck.
- 7:46Speaker 3: That does suck seeing all your friends go away. But
- 7:48Speaker 3: you know, she does have Dancing with the Stars going on.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, but it would have been great to be there.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I'm sure. Hey, it is the problem. The burden of
- 7:57Speaker 2: success and fame is that you can beat everything at once.
- 8:11Speaker 2: It's time for our last two headlines. Obviously, I tease
- 8:14Speaker 2: that I think one is more juicy than the other,
- 8:17Speaker 2: and we're gonna find out which one I think is
- 8:19Speaker 2: more juicy than the other. Uh and so in second
- 8:23Speaker 2: place on Juiciest Headlines, The Golden Bachelor is Gary Turner.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Received his first STD test for shows ridiculously thorough vetting process.
- 8:36Speaker 3: All right, so ridiculously thorough goes with vetting process, not
- 8:41Speaker 3: a ridiculously thorough STD check because I was like, oh
- 8:45Speaker 3: my god, I know you guys didn't have to like
- 8:49Speaker 3: be checked out down there. You just took a blood test.
- 8:52Speaker 3: We all just take a blood test. We don't need
- 8:54Speaker 3: like a gynecological exam.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Us girls, well, a blood test would show up a
- 8:59Speaker 2: lot of yea.
- 9:00Speaker 3: I know everything's going to show up on a blood test.
- 9:02Speaker 3: So this is what Gary said happened when he found
- 9:05Speaker 3: out that he was in the midst of the vetting process.
- 9:08Speaker 3: He said, I was traveling with an old girlfriend. That's
- 9:12Speaker 3: a headline in itself. Okay, we were just friends, Okay, Okay, Gary,
- 9:21Speaker 3: Now I'm rethinking whether or not you slept with anyone
- 9:24Speaker 3: before fantasy sweets. I was actually traveling with a girlfriend.
- 9:30Speaker 3: We're just friends. And then I got a call from
- 9:32Speaker 3: ABC wanting me to initiate the process. To get an
- 9:36Speaker 3: STD test. That may have been my very first STD test.
- 9:41Speaker 3: He says, I had no idea what was going to happen.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I didn't know if they were gonna look in the
- 9:45Speaker 3: iris of my eye, take a urine sample or a
- 9:48Speaker 3: blood sample. I had no idea. I just did not know.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I had to say not only did I have to
- 9:55Speaker 3: have a physical checkup, but I also needed a proper
- 9:59Speaker 3: background check. I had to send my fingerprints to the FBI.
- 10:03Speaker 3: There were numerous background tests, and there's a psychological evaluation
- 10:07Speaker 3: that was like three hundred and sixty questions. We're all
- 10:09Speaker 3: very familiar with this, and then another hour interview. The
- 10:13Speaker 3: vetting process is ridiculously thorough. Now I don't remember, I
- 10:17Speaker 3: guess it happened, But like my fingerprints being sent to
- 10:20Speaker 3: the FBI, that sounds intense. That true, Okay, I thought
- 10:26Speaker 3: they just you know, ran a background check, which does
- 10:28Speaker 3: that go to the FBI?
- 10:30Speaker 2: No, No, there's paces that they could like pull back
- 10:33Speaker 2: things through. I mean maybe with Gary, they're like, hey,
- 10:37Speaker 2: you've lived a little more life than these twenty year
- 10:39Speaker 2: olds like you have you have some stuff you could
- 10:41Speaker 2: have hidden, and they dug it up. It is so
- 10:43Speaker 2: thorough though. He's not wrong and he's not lying when
- 10:46Speaker 2: he says that the process is more thorough than you
- 10:48Speaker 2: ever imagined. They know you better than you know yourself.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I promise you this psychological exam, I remember there was
- 10:54Speaker 2: questions on there, Like one of them that stands out
- 10:57Speaker 2: to me was like, when you look at somebody long enough,
- 11:00Speaker 2: does their head get bigger or smaller? And I'm like,
- 11:03Speaker 2: oh goodness, I don't know. I sometimes I think it
- 11:05Speaker 2: gets both. I don't know. And then you're worried that
- 11:08Speaker 2: like all these questions are so confusing that you just
- 11:11Speaker 2: feel crazy. After answering him, I had to ask them.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I asked the therapist like two weeks later, I was like,
- 11:16Speaker 2: when you did my exam, like, am I good? Like,
- 11:18Speaker 2: because sometimes I feel like I'm not like I used
- 11:21Speaker 2: to want to make sure that like, if you have
- 11:23Speaker 2: any like red flags here, you tell me so I
- 11:25Speaker 2: can get some help for that, because I don't know.
- 11:28Speaker 2: That exam made me feel crazy. Okay, time the last
- 11:32Speaker 2: headline Ashley, you ready for it?
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yeah? Fun? I was wondering, Okay, this is I think
- 11:36Speaker 3: this is probably the juiciest.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's juicy for me, for multiple reasons. One,
- 11:42Speaker 2: this guy never speaks out, he doesn't say a word.
- 11:44Speaker 2: He hasn't said a word in years, and he barely
- 11:47Speaker 2: said a word when he was on the season of
- 11:50Speaker 2: The Bachelorette, And now he is why in this format
- 11:54Speaker 2: with this person. I don't know, but he did, and
- 11:55Speaker 2: now we have a headline from it. Bachelorette's Nate. Remember Nate,
- 12:00Speaker 2: he claims ex Michelle Young didn't donate house down payment
- 12:04Speaker 2: gift from ABC. Now, if you remember on their finale,
- 12:09Speaker 2: their gift from ABC was like two hundred thousand dollars
- 12:12Speaker 2: to put a down payment on a house. Well, they
- 12:14Speaker 2: obviously broke up, and well this is where the headline
- 12:17Speaker 2: comes from.
- 12:18Speaker 3: So Nate sat down with this guy named Dave Neil
- 12:21Speaker 3: on his podcast Bachelor Rush Hour. Jared was actually just
- 12:25Speaker 3: on it as well, So he said, the only way
- 12:29Speaker 3: you're going to get the money is if you use
- 12:31Speaker 3: it for a down payment. No ifs, answer butts. If
- 12:34Speaker 3: you break up or you don't use the money within
- 12:37Speaker 3: the first year, then neither one of you are going
- 12:40Speaker 3: to get that money. So there it gets a little
- 12:44Speaker 3: dramatic because we come up in this article because Michelle
- 12:49Speaker 3: when she was on our podcast, we asked what did
- 12:51Speaker 3: what happened with that two hundred thousand dollars and she
- 12:54Speaker 3: said that she was crying on the phone with one
- 12:55Speaker 3: of the producers on our podcast and she said, can
- 12:59Speaker 3: you give them money to someone else? And then he
- 13:02Speaker 3: said now in this podcast, he was like, I always
- 13:05Speaker 3: thought that was hilarious that he said that. It's like, no,
- 13:08Speaker 3: don't make it seem like it's like this crisis you're
- 13:11Speaker 3: dealing with about who's going to get the money because
- 13:14Speaker 3: neither of us ever got it, and like ABC was
- 13:16Speaker 3: basically like, no, we're keeping it unless you buy a house.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I mean, okay, So how I read this is this
- 13:23Speaker 2: maybe ABC had to deal with Michelle on the side.
- 13:25Speaker 2: They said, no, matter what happens, you're going to get
- 13:26Speaker 2: the money, and that's how she got it because she
- 13:29Speaker 2: was the lead. And maybe Nate just never knew that,
- 13:32Speaker 2: or yes, Nate's wright and that money never touched anybody's hands,
- 13:37Speaker 2: and maybe ABC was able to donate it to something good.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I don't know. But here's the juicy part of the
- 13:44Speaker 2: whole thing to me is that Nate was speaking out.
- 13:47Speaker 2: He never does that. He never says a word. He's
- 13:50Speaker 2: so quiet. He's been so really they kind of both
- 13:53Speaker 2: have for the most part. There's a big headline. I mean,
- 13:57Speaker 2: I don't I doubt he ever does it again because
- 13:59Speaker 2: I think this headline is probably going to get some
- 14:02Speaker 2: traction and probably be all over and he's like, yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 2: I hate every second of this, but he did it once.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Probably. I really like Nate though, you know, he came
- 14:10Speaker 3: over to Audrey's and he was just so sweet and
- 14:13Speaker 3: he's just like a very easy to get along with guy.
- 14:16Speaker 3: So anyway, that's interesting, got an interesting to a bit.
- 14:20Speaker 2: There's so much going on in Bastination, always is. We'll
- 14:23Speaker 2: keep breaking it down for you. We'll be covering it
- 14:25Speaker 2: here again. Keep listening. A lot coming your way on
- 14:28Speaker 2: the podcast feed over the next weeks. We're so excited
- 14:32Speaker 2: to do it, so excited that you're still here. Happy
- 14:34Speaker 2: holidays once again. So until next time, I've been Been.
